#MAGFAB: Ricky Martin for Numéro Homme Switzerland

Ricky Martin’s story is that of a phenomenon that transcends genres, decades, and industries. He is not merely a singer or an actor; he is an icon—a star who has transcended pop culture’s immediacy to become an omnipresent force—an archetype of reinvention who stays relevant without sacrificing his essence.
From his early days in Menudo to pioneering the Latin Explosion with anthems like “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” Ricky Martin was the force that broke barriers in the English language industry, paving the way for a wave of Latin artists who now dominate the global scene. However, his impact extends far beyond music. He has left his mark in theatre, conquering Broadway with “Evita” and “Les Misérables,” and more recently, he has demonstrated impeccable dramatic strength on screen with his role in “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story,” where he portrayed Antonio D’Amico, the man who shared the designer’s final years.

Now, in a new chapter of his career, we find him in Palm Royale, the Apple TV+ series that delves into the luxury, intrigue, and decadent elegance of high society in the 1970s. As an actor unafraid to immerse himself in complex, multi-dimensional roles, Martin reinvents himself once more, proving that his talent is as timeless as his magnetism.
Later this year, he will also embark on Ricky Martin Live: Australia 2025, a tour that will visit Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, and Sydney, with Rita Ora opening the shows.
Today, in this conversation, we are not speaking to the artist but to the man. To the creator of his own myth.
SEBASTIÁN MAGUNACELAYA In the entertainment industry, longevity is an art in itself. Some shine briefly, while others secure their place in history. You belong to the latter group. You have navigated music, film, theatre, and television — from Menudo to Palm Royale, from the heights of pop to the intensity of Versace. What do you believe is the key to your enduring presence in an industry that often devours its own idols?
RICKY MARTIN Longevity in this industry is rooted in passion, evolution, and staying true to oneself while embracing change. From an early age, I’ve always followed my instincts and sought challenges that pushed me beyond my comfort zone. It’s not merely about reinvention—it’s about authenticity. Fans connect with honesty, emotion, and stories that resonate as genuine. I have never shied away from exploring new artistic avenues, whether through music, acting, writing, or activism. Surrounding yourself with the right people who inspire, challenge, and support you is crucial. Most importantly, gratitude. I do not take for granted every stage, every project, and every fan who has supported me. The industry changes, but the love for what I do remains. That’s what keeps me going.

SM Federico Fellini once said that “cinema is a dream in which one is always awake”. Your journey into acting has been gradual, yet every role has been thoughtfully selected. In The Assassination of Gianni Versace, you portrayed Antonio D’Amico with a delicacy and depth that surpassed all expectations. Now, in Palm Royale, you enter another narrative universe—one that explores excess and the power of image. What has this experience been like, and what attracted you to this particular project?
RM Actually, before the TV series and Broadway, I first heard the word “action” at 15 years old while acting in a TV series that became very successful. Acting has been a vital part of my artistic expression. In The Assassination of Gianni Versace, stepping into Antonio D’Amico’s shoes felt profoundly personal. It was a story of love, loss, and identity, and I wanted to honor that truth in every scene. I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of this remarkable series and to the Television Academy for honoring me with my first EMMY nomination.
Now, Palm Royale exists in a completely different universe—decadent, extravagant, and full of intrigue. The show plays with image and illusion, but beneath all the glamour, it’s about power, survival, and the need to belong. I was drawn to the humor and drama, and, of course, working with such an amazing cast has been a gift. Every project I undertake must challenge me, and Palm Royale has certainly done just that. I can’t wait for people to tune in to season two; it’s wild.
SM Andy Warhol once stated that “being successful in business is the most captivating form of art”. Beyond your role as an artist, you have also established an empire—from multimillion-dollar tours to your legacy as one of the most influential Latin figures of the 21st century. How do you balance creativity with business? Where does the artist end and the strategist begin?

RM Creativity and strategy are interconnected; you can’t have one without the other if you want to create something lasting. Personally, it all starts with the heartbeat, whether it’s music, acting, or any other creative pursuit. However, a strategy must be in place to ensure that whatever I’m doing reaches the audience as intended. That’s why having a team that understands your vision and contributes their own expertise is essential.
SM Hollywood has always been a place of contradictions—a dream factory, yet one where invisible barriers exist. Your arrival on American television with Versace marked a turning point. How has your relationship with the film and television industry evolved in a world where representation remains a pressing issue?
RM I’ve witnessed firsthand how these invisible barriers can shape opportunities. Opportunities for Latin actors, though improved, remain limited and often stereotypical. Versace marked a turning point for me and for representation as a whole. It was a powerful, complex narrative that highlighted the depth of our community’s experiences. That’s why I’ve consistently fought for roles that aren’t just about being Latino, but about being human. I aspire to continue advocating for more authentic storytelling that reflects the true diversity of our experiences. There’s still work to be done, but I’m dedicated to being part of that change.
SM Jean Cocteau wrote “Art creates ugliness in ordinary people and beauty in extraordinary ones.” Pop music has traditionally been viewed as a commercial art form, yet your career has demonstrated that it can also serve as a statement—a revolution. What do you believe has been the most significant impact of your music on global culture?
RM Pop music is powerful because it serves as entertainment and escapism, but it can also be a revolution. From the beginning, I wanted my music to evoke feelings, celebrate life, embrace individuality, and break barriers. When I released “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” it marked a pivotal moment in the industry, opening doors for many Latin artists to showcase our rhythms, language, and culture on a global stage. It was not just about a song; it was about identity and pride. Music has also provided me a voice beyond the stage. Whether advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, supporting humanitarian efforts, or fighting for important causes, I view my platform as more than entertainment; it is a way to inspire change. If my music has achieved anything, I hope it has empowered people to feel free to be themselves, celebrate their roots, and recognise that their voices matter. That, to me, is the true revolution.
SM Gianni Versace once said, “One should never be a slave to trends, but instead transform them into something uniquely one’s own.” For over three decades, you have been a style icon; from the sartorial hedonism of the ‘90s to today’s minimalist sophistication, you have consistently embodied a deeply personal aesthetic. How would you characterise your relationship with fashion? Is it a means of self-expression or merely an extension of your public image?
RM Thank you so much. For me, fashion has always been about self-expression and confidence. It’s not just about trends or what’s in—it’s about how I feel and how I want to present myself to the world at each moment. I have certainly embraced boldness, and over the years, I’ve gravitated towards a more refined, minimalist style, but always with that personal touch. I love clean lines and timeless pieces, yet I also appreciate moments of risk because fashion should be fun. What I wear must feel authentic, whether on stage, on a red carpet, or at home. It’s an extension of who I am, but it doesn’t truly define me.
SM Latin music has evolved in unimaginable ways since you first broke onto the global scene—from the tropical sounds and Latin pop of the ‘90s to the reggaeton and urban rhythms that now dominate the charts. You have witnessed the rise and transformation of the industry firsthand. Do you feel that Latin music has evolved, or has it lost some of its essence in the pursuit of virality? Do you believe that the narratives and depth of songwriting have changed compared to the golden era of Latin pop, which you helped define?
RM Latin music is more powerful than ever. It has evolved, expanded, and taken over the world in ways we never imagined. When I first started, we had to work hard to be heard globally. Now, Latin artists are leading the charts, setting trends, headlining festivals, and starring in global campaigns. That’s something to celebrate. Of course, the sound continues to evolve, and that’s perfectly fine. It would be boring to remain the same every year. Some genres play a huge role in today’s music, but Latin pop still has its place, and I don’t think it has lost its essence at all. Every generation brings something new while still carrying the heart and soul of our culture. Many of us continue to share stories through our music that connect with audiences in a whole different way- a more direct way- thanks to technology.

#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Opens Up About Dating LePrince After Mike Hill Divorce: "I Definitely Took a Beat"
Cynthia Bailey is currently in a relationship with her boyfriend, musician LePrince. But The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 friend had some difficulty dating following her 2022 divorce from her ex-husband, Mike Hill.
In The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show, Cynthia opened up about how she took some time for herself after her divorce, instead of jumping into dating. "I took a beat," she said in the video above. "I definitely took a beat."
"I looked inward, and I definitely threw myself into my career, I threw myself into the acting," she continued. "And literally all I did was work for the first year after my second divorce."
After taking that year to focus on her career, Cynthia and LePrince eventually started their sweet romance. Read on to find out more about their relationship.
Cynthia and her beau most recently made a red carpet appearance in early May at the Alzheimer's Association Magic of Music Gala. The couple was there to celebrate Cynthia's podcast co-host, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Crystal Kung Minkoff, who spoke at the gala and received an award there.
Cynthia opened up about this appearance on a May 12 episode of their podcast, Humble Brag with Crystal and Cynthia, noting that there was "beauty and freedom" to them "being outside together."
"Like it feels good to just be outside and be comfortable, and not, like, people know, even though there's not a million photos of us out there, because we still intentionally do not post on Instagram with each other," she admitted.
"I will never get used to the fact that people actually care about who I date," she added.
She continued during the podcast episode, noting that LePrince had a great time at the gala. "He's like a freaking magnet," she said. "I don't know if it's the hat he loves to wear, if it's the long dreads, but people just literally come up to him everywhere I take him and start talking to him...he looks interesting."
"Like, if I didn't know him and if I wasn't dating him, I think if I saw him at that event, I would be like, 'Who's that? Who's that tall guy with the hat on with the long dreads?'" she noted. Throughout their relationship, Cynthia has been open about the fact that LePrince is just a bit younger than her. "I wasn't looking for a young guy. He found me," she said during a panel at Bravo Fan Fest.
"You know, dating is really not easy, especially at my point in life," she told Us Weekly at the event. "I am, you know, a little up there, [a] woman of a certain age, but I will say that I just said to God, 'Send me my person.' I didn't give him a list or anything, and [LePrince] showed up, and it's been almost eight months now, and I'm really happy."
#MusicNews: Teyana Taylor To Return To Music With New Album ‘Escape Room’ And Release Companion Short Film

Teyana Taylor decided that she was done with music after the release of her 2020 project The Album and following her The Last Rose Petal 2…Farewell Tour in 2022. As fate would have it, though, music isn’t done with her. The multitalented creative has been in her acting and producing bag over the past few years, but after dropping the mic, she’s picked it back up with the announcement of her new album and accompanying short film Escape Room, both dropping in August.
To welcome her return to music and introduce her next era, the visionary artist premiered Escape Room’s cinematic trailer. Created by her production company The Aunties and rivaling that of any summer blockbuster, the trailer made jaws drop from Atlanta to Zaire. The short film is described as a “post-apocalyptic/futuristic, noir romance thriller,” and it co-stars Lakeith Stanfield and her rumored new man Aaron Pierre (That’s Mufasa).
It’s unclear what the plot is, but the trailer begins with Teyana and Lakeith exchanging wedding vows in the desert. They appear to be the picture of happiness before the scene and the tone quickly changes and the action begins. We see Taylor in distress, in various states of undress and in the care of Pierre, who looks to be experimenting on her. Teyana and Aaron aren’t beating the romance allegations with all the kissing and carrying on they’re doing in the trailer, which ends with him pulling a gun on her.
A voiceover proclaims, “Even love is something you must escape,” before the trailer completely fades to black. That quote is also included in the bio for a brand-new Instagram account, @EscapeRoomAlbum, that’s been created exclusively for the forthcoming album.
Select songs from the Escape Room album will be included in the mini-movie. According to press materials, “the short film acts as a visual representation of the album exploring the ombré effects of life’s journey from the darkness of all aspects of heartbreak (i.e. friendships, career, family, etc.) to the lightness of healing.” Given the tumultuous last few years that Teyana Taylor has endured, it sounds as though this collection may have been inspired by true events.
Teyana Taylor hasn’t shared release dates for either the Escape Room album or the Escape Room short film yet, but we are locked in. Watch the arresting trailer right here, and stay tuned for more to come from Teyana’s direction all summer long.
#HipHopNews: Offset Is Reportedly Seeking Spousal Support From Cardi B Amid Their Divorce
Offset has filed legal documents requesting spousal support from Cardi B in their ongoing divorce, per TMZ.
He is also seeking joint custody of their three children, with Cardi B’s home as the primary residence.
Cardi B has not commented directly but reposted a tweet suggesting Offset’s motives may be personal, not financial.
Offset reportedly wants Cardi B to pay him spousal support once their divorce is finalized. On Thursday (May 29), TMZ reported that the former Migos member filed an amended divorce response earlier in the month in which he requested an unspecified amount of alimony.
According to the outlet, the “rest of the requests look relatively unchanged,” meaning he’s still seeking joint custody for their three children: Kulture, Wave and the daughter they welcomed last year. Cardi B’s home will “serve as the primary residence,” TMZ further noted.
Although Cardi B hasn’t officially commented on the spousal support request, she did repost a tweet about the “Ric Flair Drip” rapper being “in his feelings that she has moved on.” It read, “The thing is: I don’t even think it’s about the money. Offset just wants to mess with Cardi.”
It’s worth mentioning that the Grammy Award-winning rapper has been romantically linked to NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs since October 2024. The two were later seen together on Valentine’s Day and eventually went public while courtside at the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks playoff game earlier this May.
Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset for the second time in July 2024, per People, and unfortunately, it’s been anything but pretty. That September, he accused her of cheating while pregnant. “You f**ked [someone else] with a baby inside. Tell the truth!” he wrote during one of her Instagram Lives. Though the “Bodak Yellow” artist never responded to him directly, she seemingly addressed the claims in a post on X: “AND DID!”
Fast forward to January — after a couple more heated exchanges online — Cardi B said that Offset and his mother “robbed” her. “Mind you, we were cool. We weren’t f**king, but we were cool,” she explained on X Spaces. “You and your mom robbed me cold. Wiped my nose.”
As the legal battle between Cardi B and Offset continues to unfold, the public drama shows no signs of slowing down. With spousal support now on the table, all eyes are on what happens next with one of Hip Hop’s most high-profile splits.

#RIP: Loretta Swit, 'Hot Lips' Houlihan on 'M*A*S*H,' dies at 87

Loretta Swit, the Emmy Award-winning actress who played no-nonsense U.S. Army combat nurse Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan in the hit TV series "M*A*S*H" for more than a decade, died on Friday at the age of 87.
Swit, a mainstay of one of the most successful and acclaimed series in U.S. television history, died at her home in New York City from what was suspected to be natural causes, her publicist, Harlan Boll, said.
Swit earned two best supporting actress Emmys and 10 nominations for her role as "Hot Lips," the lusty, tough but vulnerable, patriotic Army career nurse in the series that ran from 1972-1983.
As the only regular female character in the groundbreaking show set in the fictional 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital during the Korean War of the 1950s, "Hot Lips" endured the insults, pranks and practical jokes of the fun-loving male surgeons. The show's cast also included Alan Alda, Wayne Rogers, McLean Stevenson, Larry Linville, Mike Farrell, Harry Morgan, Gary

,
Swit defined her role by playing a strong, determined, independent woman, who had input into the development and storyline of her character, including her split from her married lover Major Frank Burns, hilariously played by Linville, and her own wedding and divorce.
She appeared in nearly all of the more than 250 episodes and the series finale, which was the most watched episode of any TV series in history when the show ended in 1983.
The TV series was based on the real-life experiences of an Army surgeon, who penned the 1968 book "MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors," and on director Robert Altman's 1970 black comedy film of the same name.
"While we were shooting, even from the very beginning, we were aware of how very special it was," Swit said about the series in a 2017 interview with Fox News. "The symbiosis, the camaraderie, the love and respect we had for each other."
Loretta Swit was born on November 4, 1937, in Passaic, New Jersey. After finishing school, and against her strict parents' objections, she began training as an actress at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. She worked as a stenographer while auditioning for roles.
"The first thought I ever had in my head was being an actress. I can't remember ever not wanting to perform,” she told the Star magazine in a 2010 interview.
The tall, blonde stage and TV star was a strict vegetarian and animal lover. She started her career in theater and appeared in guest roles in TV dramas such as "Gunsmoke," "Mannix," "Bonanza" and the original "Hawaii Five-O," before landing her signature role.

Swit also originated the character of Detective Christine Cagney in the pilot for "Cagney & Lacey" but could not take on the role in the TV series because of her contract with "M*A*S*H".
The actress made her Broadway debut in "Same Time, Next Year" in 1975. She performed in the musical "Mame" on tour and starred in the one-woman play "Shirley Valentine" more than 1,000 times over three decades.
"Acting is not hiding to me, it’s revealing. We give you license to feel," she said in an interview with the Star magazine in 2010. "That’s the most important thing in the world, because when you stop feeling, that’s when you’re dead.”
After "M*A*S*H" Swit appeared in TV movies, on game shows and on the stage and in films but she never found the same level of fame. She also devoted herself to animal rights and was a former spokesperson for the Humane Society of the United States.
She married actor Dennis Holahan, who played a Swedish diplomat in an episode of "M*A*S*H," in 1983. The couple divorced in 1995 and had no children.
Although "M*A*S*H" ended decades ago, Swit found new generations of fans through syndication of the series.
"The show has never been off the air! A lot of people don’t realize that," Swit told the Huffington Post in 2018. "I’ve seen it in Thailand, in Egypt ... It’s a phenomenon."
Niko McKnight, Brian McKnight’s Son, Dead At 32
Cole Nikolas McKnight, affectionately known as Niko, has died at the age of 32 following an intense cancer battle. The tragic news was confirmed by his uncle, Claude McKnight — lead singer of the group Take 6 — in a video and mother, Julie, in a statement. He was the estranged son of Brian McKnight.
“It is with profound sadness that Julie McKnight and family announce the passing of her beloved son Cole Nikolas McKnight, affectionately known as ‘Niko’ on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Nikolas was a cherished husband, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and nephew whose warmth, laughter, and love touched the lives of all who knew him. Nikolas was a self taught artist of music and photography. His passing is an immeasurable loss to his family and all those who held him dear,” the statement read.
Claude first broke the news on TikTok. “This morning I found out that my nephew, Niko McKnight, passed away. He’d been bravely battling cancer for the past two years or so,” he explained.
He spoke on Niko’s many talents as a fellow musician and photographer. “Niko was one of those amazing kids quirky, and curious and ridiculously talented. Amazing singer, amazing guitar player. Had a great eye as a photographer. And one of those kids, at least in my estimation, that you always wanted to be around and so it really sucks that he’s no longer with us,” Claude continued.
The 62-year-old didn’t want news of Niko’s death to center around the family drama and urged fans to focus on positivity.
“I wanted to post this about Niko, about his legacy, about how amazing he is, not about what some of you may have heard about family drama that has existed for quite some time, in our family,” he noted. “I don’t know exactly what was going on there, I know what I’ve seen. I know what I’ve heard from all parties involved…a lot of things didn’t get resolved.”
Claude concluded, “I know that kid had a lot inside, a lot eating at him for a long, long time. I may have contributed to what happened with him, what I do know is he’s out of pain now. I just want to uplift that young man.”
Niko revealed he was battling cancer in January 2024. Months later, Brian McKnight claimed his ex-wife, Julie, “forced” him to stop helping with Niko’s cancer treatment.
“We’re adhering to her wishes because that’s what she wanted and we’re staying out of it,” he stated. He later mentioned that he is “praying” for Niko. Julie called him a liar as Niko remained hopeful.
Via his Instagram Stories, he wrote, “So grateful to be at a place where I can honestly say I’m happy. So many things are trying to make me spiral but I’m not going to. There’s too much to be happy about. My health is getting better. I’m gaining weight […] Everything is going to be okay.” Niko later stated, “I love my family. I love my Mom. I love my Brother and Sisters. I love my Wife. I love my life. I couldn’t stand up on my own 6 months ago. God is good!”
After labeling his older children as a “product of sin,” both Julie and Niko spoke out against the disgruntled singer.
“When I was about to die in the hospital from complications from my cancer, I just wanted to bury the hatchet and hear him say he loves me and he told me he couldn’t arbitrarily tell me he loves me. Still cuts so deep,” Niko tweeted back then.
We send our deepest condolences to the McKnight family during this time.
Prince’s Security Allegedly “Intervened” In Diddy Attack Against Cassie

A former assistant of Sean “Diddy” Combs testified that Prince‘s security team allegedly stepped in and stopped a violent attack against Casandra Fine. The woman shared her story under the condition of anonymity and took the stand under the name Mia and was identified as Victim-4.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, Mia worked for Combs from 2009 to 2017. During her employment, she was allegedly overworked and sexually assaulted multiple times by the Harlem native. While under oath, Mia detailed that she and Fine, who was then recognized by her stage name Cassie, became like sisters. Her account described that when the two women did something without the approval of Combs, there were “unpredictable and terrifying” consequences.
Mia testified that the night Prince’s staff intervened, she was commanded to stay with the “Official Girl” singer while Combs visited his children. While the two women were secluded at their hotel, a friend allegedly called with an invitation to attend a party hosted by the legendary musician.
“Cass and I debated like little kids if we should sneak out of the house for probably what felt like forever,” recalled Mia.
They decided to attend the affair, and once at the private event, spotted Combs before running out. According to her testimony, “Puff caught Cass.”
“He caught up to her and had her on the ground,” Mia exclaimed. “He started attacking her, but Prince’s security swiftly intervened.”
The next day, she was allegedly suspended without pay for “being insubordinate.”
In her testimony earlier this month, Fine also recalled the violent night.
“I caught a glimpse of him, left the party, and ran out as fast as I could,” the 38-year-old testified according to PEOPLE. “I knew he was angry at me,” she shared as she continued to detail running, falling into the bushes, and eventually making it back to her hotel room before Combs burst in the door.
“We went into the bedroom and he beat me up,” she claimed. “He threw luggage at me, calling me all kinds of names.”
Combs is currently standing trial for sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Zion Williamson Sued For Alleged Rape By Woman Claiming To Be Ex-Girlfriend
New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is facing serious legal trouble as a woman alleged as his ex-girlfriend has accused him of rape in a newly filed lawsuit. The complaint, filed Thursday (May 29) in Los Angeles Superior Court, outlines two alleged incidents from 2020 that the woman says took place while involved in a relationship that began in 2018 and ended in 2023.
In the suit, Doe alleges on Nov. 23, 2020, Williamson showed up to a Beverly Hills residence he was renting while training during the pandemic and demanded sex. When she refused, she claims Williamson called her “stuck up” and a “b**ch,” then proceeded to “pin Plaintiff down on the bed with her hands behind her back and raped her.”
She also alleges he choked her afterward for “talking too much” and took her phone.
A second alleged incident occurred in December 2020 after Doe mentioned visiting a friend. She claims Williamson “picked her up, threw her down to the ground, and pinned her shoulders down so she could not move,” before he “violently raped Plaintiff in multiple ways.” She claims he then confiscated her phone and computer, preventing her from contacting anyone or seeking help.
Among the more disturbing claims are allegations that he threatened to have his armed security guard shoot Doe “in the head” and harm her parents, referencing knowledge of their home address. These threats allegedly occurred multiple times between 2020 and 2023.
Doe’s attorney, Sam Taylor told The Post, “Our client is very adamant about this — it’s not her desire or our desire to litigate this case in the press. It’s a very serious case, as reflected in the allegations. Our client looks forward to her day in court where she can go and explain to a jury what happened to her, the things she endured for this defendant and getting justice.”
Williamson’s legal team has vehemently denied the allegations. “We take these allegations with the utmost seriousness, and we unequivocally deny them,” his representatives said in a statement to The Post. “The allegations contained in the complaint are categorically false and reckless. This is the plaintiff’s third set of attorneys. This appears to be an attempt to exploit a professional athlete driven by a financial motive rather than any legitimate grievance.”
The NBA star acknowledged a “casual and consensual” relationship with Doe, adding that her demand for “millions of dollars” only came after the relationship ended. His team says he plans to file a countersuit and pursue “significant damages for this defamatory lawsuit.”
FBI Orders Agents To Refrain From Pride Month Celebrations At Work Under New Trump-Era Directive

The FBI has instructed its employees not to participate in or promote Pride Month activities during work hours or through official Bureau resources, according to a new internal directive.
In an email obtained by Fox News, FBI Assistant Director for Public Affairs Ben Williamson clarified, “There should be no official FBI actions, events, or messaging regarding Pride Month.”
He added that employees are free to engage in personal celebrations outside of work but must refrain from using government resources.
The shift comes amid broader administrative changes under President Trump, whose nominee for FBI Director, Kash Patel, has yet to issue a public statement. The current stance is a sharp contrast to the Biden administration, which actively supported Pride events, including a White House celebration in 2023.
An FBI spokesperson told TMZ, “The FBI is committed to serving and protecting all Americans… [while] remaining focused on our core mission.”

‘The Wire’s Tray Chaney son recovering after being thrown nearly 300 feet from home in Locust Grove tornado

An 18-year-old is now in stable condition after a tornado ripped through a Locust Grove neighborhood on Thursday.
The teen’s father, Tray Chaney, identified him as Malachi Chaney. Tray is an actor best known for playing Malik “Poot” Carr on HBO’s “The Wire.”
Chaney on Saturday posted to Instagram an update on his son’s condition.
“Malachi is stable. It’s definitely very slow progress,” Chaney said in the video. “But he’s living and he’s breathing.”
Malachi had been in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital following the tornado.
Tray said he and Malachi on Thursday had just returned home from an event promoting “The Wire.” But 30 minutes after they’d each gone to their rooms to relax, everything changed.
Tray was sitting on the edge of his bed when the tornado ripped the house apart.
“I just remember turning to my right, and my wall was coming towards my face, and my body levitated in the air,” he said. “I know I blacked out, but I seen everything in my house coming towards my face, so the first thing I did was cover up.”
Trey woke up wrapped in his sheets with his face in the dirt.
“I was yelling Malachi’s name out. ‘Malachi, Malachi, where you at?’ When I came from under the covers, this is what I seen,” he said, pointing to his Locust Grove home that now sits in pieces.
Right now, the National Weather Service believes the tornado was an EF-2 or higher. The final report is still pending.
The tornado threw Malachi 287 feet away into the nearby woodline. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in an ambulance and remains in the ICU.
Tray said his son was left with broken ribs and fractured bones in his face.
“It’s gonna take a long time to get through this,” Chaney said.
The tornado appeared very suddenly. Neighbors told Atlanta News First there was no warning, and officials said the calls for damage and rescue came at the same time the National Weather Service confirmed the tornado.
“It’s very scary that it would form so quickly and without warning and cause this amount of damage,” Henry County Police Deputy Chief Jason Bolton said. “You just never know.”
Friday is another First Alert Weather Day, with lightning, damaging winds and tornadoes possible as a cold front sweeps through the region.

Kevin Aviance is in a New York City hospital after serious health scare says ‘ He's lucky to be alive’
Kevin Aviance is recovering in a New York City hospital. The legendary drag performer was rushed to the hospital with trouble breathing.
Kevin Aviance, the iconic drag artist and Black queer New York City nightlife legend whose music helped define a generation of ballroom and club culture, is recovering in the hospital after a life-threatening health emergency, his team announced Monday.
In a statement posted to social media, Aviance’s family said he began having trouble breathing at home over the weekend and initially believed it was an asthma attack. But his condition worsened rapidly, and he was rushed to the emergency room. There, he was diagnosed with pneumonia and septic poisoning. Sepsis, also known as septic poisoning, is a dangerous complication that happens when the body’s response to an infection spirals out of control, triggering inflammation that can shut down vital organs. According to his team, doctors told Aviance he’s “incredibly lucky to be alive.”
The statement says he remains hospitalized, is on oxygen, and is being closely monitored. If his recovery continues smoothly, he may be discharged within a few days.
“This is an emotional time for Kevin, his family, and all of us who love him,” the statement read. “Sometimes our bodies whisper before they scream. We have to listen and slow down.”
“Kevin is currently on oxygen and under close medical supervision to ensure the septic infection is fully cleared from his body,” Aviance’s publicist, Len Evans, told The Advocate. “He is still battling pneumonia and remains in stable condition while resting. We ask everyone to please keep Kevin in your thoughts and prayers during this time.”
Evans said the health scare followed weeks of nonstop work. “He stretched himself too thin working nonstop the last few weeks to release his new single,” Evans said. “He’s spent many hours in the recording studio finishing up his album and doing back-to-back gigs—it just all caught up to him.”
After surviving a brutal anti-gay hate crime in 2006 and retreating from the spotlight, Aviance experienced a career renaissance in recent years.
Aviance, 56, a member of the House of Aviance and one of the most celebrated figures in LGBTQ+ nightlife, is best known for hits like “Din Da Da” and “Cunty”—the latter sampled by Beyoncé on 2022’sRenaissance. His influence spans decades and genres, from club anthems and fashion runways to recent DJ sets across North America, including his CVNTY Ball Tourbacked by The Advocate’s parent company, equalpride.
News of Aviance’s hospitalization prompted an immediate wave of love and support from fans and fellow performers.
“Sending Love, Light, and Healing prayers,” wrote music icon Crystal Waters. Comedian and Hey Qween! host Jonny McGovern called Aviance a “legend,” adding, “Sending all my love and good energy to our qween.”
Drag artist and RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Nicky Doll wrote, “Sending all the positive energies possible your way Kevin!”
Jesse Williams Accuses Ex of Breaking the New Partner Clause in Their Child Custody Agreement

Actor Jesse Williams accuses ex wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, of refusing to give him information about her new boyfriend, after she put his name on the kid's school pick-up list..
According to In Touch Mag: Jesse Williams and his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, had a back and forth about her new boyfriend, where the Grey’s Anatomy star demanded information about the man, In Touch can exclusively report.
The court asked what the issue was. Jesse’s lawyer said the existing order prohibited either party from introducing their children to a romantic partner unless they’ve been dating for six months.
“And that never happened,” his lawyer said. “And so the information wasn’t — we don’t know when [Aryn] introduced the children. So what [Jesse] had asked was, ‘Please tell me how long you’ve been dating this person.’ And that was never responded to.”
Jesse told the judge, “Can I just say, the issue is not for me. It’s not anybody’s personal life. Her personal life is her own. The first thing I said was ‘Congratulations. It’s terrific.’”
He continued, “She insisted we put in the order originally — it’s in our order today to my knowledge – that if you’re going to put somebody on a pickup list for their regular life, school et cetera, give the other party their contact information.”
Jesse added, “When I get a new nanny or I have a new romantic partner, I supply her with — I give her a picture of her driver’s license, her passport, their phone number, just so that you know who is driving our children around in a major city. That’s all.”
He said, “She sent me a notice saying he is on the pickup list. Whether she did or not is her prerogative, but she told me, ‘He is now on the pickup list.’” Jesse said he told Aryn, “Just bring by the contact information and feel free to give him mine. And she just said, ‘No.’”
Aryn said, “Nobody was ever added to any pickup list of any kind.”
AND FINALLY FROM “THE CRAZY PEOPLE SHOPPING AT WALMART” FILES
HAVE A GREAT WEEK AHEAD ALL!!!
