#RHOA: Reunion: Shamea Struggles in the Hot Seat + Apologizes to Cast on YouTube
In the final part of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 16 reunion, Shamea gets called out left and right. Here are the highlights for Part 3.
Porsha and Shamea continue to argue about the reason their mothers are no longer close friends. According to Porsha, her mother was devastated when Shamea’s mother bought her foreclosed daycare business behind her back. Although Shamea claims their mothers were not talking at this point, Porsha says this is not true. And her mother had to learn about the purchase when she saw her signs being removed to put up the signs for Shamea’s mother.

Porsha believes her friendship with Shamea was great until Shamea was given her peach and switched up.
When Andy asks Shamea if there is anything she wants to apologize for, Shamea takes ownership of discussing the friendship with the other women in the group. But she thinks the opinions of the others were projected onto her. Drew disagrees and says Shamea came to her and Angela to vent about Porsha on her own. No one pushed or asked her to say anything.

Porsha says Shamea has done similar things in their private friend group as well. She was told that Shamea told their mutual friends that Porsha didn’t want her to have a peach, and she wasn’t happy for Shamea. So she has no reason to think Brit, Drew, or Angela lied.
Shamea alleges that some in the group told her Porsha didn’t want her there. Porsha says this is a flat-out lie. She then asks Andy if she wanted Shamea to be a housewife. Andy confirms Porsha asked for Shamea to be given a peach.

Porsha didn’t like that Shamea did interviews in which she claimed Porsha wasn’t happy about her being a housewife. She’s convinced Shamea’s intent was to make her look bad by bringing up old issues from ten years ago. In comparison, Porsha has not done any of this in her interviews.

They move on to Drew and Ralph’s messy divorce process. Drew didn’t appreciate Ralph making messy accusations about her mother on social media. She also didn’t like that he posted a video of them coparenting and cooking together to spin it as if she still wanted him.
She says that she saw that Ralph brought a woman into their home via the security camera system, and that same woman approached her at her daughter’s school.
A fan asks if it was hypocritical for Drew to be upset about Shamea and Porsha filming with Ralph when she filmed with Dennis, and Drew points out this isn’t the same situation because Dennis wasn’t bashing Porsha publicly. Although Porsha apologized for this in part 1 of the reunion, she claims she wasn’t always sure that Drew told the truth about what she was experiencing. Drew tells Porsha she should use her brain.

Drew also tells Shamea she should have minded her business instead of telling Porsha she was being shady with the comment she made about her music being able to fund Pilar’s college education.
Porsha says Shamea’s version of the story angered her, but when she watched the scene, it didn’t seem disrespectful. Shamea side eyes this and agrees to mind her business next time.

The men take the stage. Andy asks Dennis if he talked to Porsha before he started making music with Drew. He says he spoke to Ralph about it first because they are good friends. He didn’t have an in-depth conversation with Porsha because he figured Drew would handle that side of things. Drew then says that Dennis told her that he talked to Porsha, and she was fine with them working together. Porsha says that the conversation didn’t happen.

Ralph claims that Drew told him that Dennis tried to hit on her. Drew vehemently denies this and calls Ralph a liar who plays victim every time he’s on the platform.
Charles is up next. He immediately calls out Shamea and Phaedra for saying they met him years ago. He clarifies that he didn’t know them before joining the show. Attending the same events in the past doesn’t equate to meeting someone, Charles says.

Angela thinks Shamea and Phaedra lied about knowing Charles so that it could give their shade about the marriage more weight.
Charles confirms he dated Sheree years ago, and the relationship lasted for a couple of years.
After the men wrap up their segment, the ladies return to give their closing thoughts about Season 16. Shamea realizes she can be more open about her feelings. Drew and Porsha are happy they hashed things out since they got along so well before the fallout. Kelli hopes Shamea and Porsha can repair their friendship.

Phaedra enjoyed her return even if she filmed for just two weeks. The Grenada trip was a special one, and she’s happy to be back.
Angela is grateful her mother filmed before she passed, so she’ll always be a permanent memory.
Cynthia enjoyed her friend role and the love she’s been receiving from everyone in the group.
Porsha says Season 16 was a rough one, but she’s grateful to still have a sound mind. She still loves Shamea despite their issues. She gifts Andy and all the ladies a fan as Shamea leads them in a dance routine.

In related news, Shamea issued an apology to all of the ladies on her YouTube channel

#HipHopNews: Cardi B Says Microphone Lawsuit Is A Shakedown Attempt
Cardi B, through her attorney, has hit out at the lawsuit filed against her by a woman who claims she was hit by the rapper’s microphone in a 2023 incident.
The “Bodak Yellow” star has dismissed the suit as essentially a shakedown attempt.
In a statement, Cardi’s attorney, Drew Findling, said: “The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Clark County District Attorney’s Office closed this matter for insufficient evidence a long time ago, but apparently the opportunity to try to make money off of a celebrity was too much for some willing law firm to pass up.”

The rapper had been accused of assault and battery by an anonymous woman who claims she was hit with the microphone during Cardi’s performance in Las Vegas a couple of years ago.
There is video footage of Cardi launching the microphone into the crowd and she was investigated by Las Vegas police but ultimately no charges were filed.

It is not known if the person filing the lawsuit is the same person who made the criminal complaint.
In clips of the incident, a fan appears to launch their drink at the “Bodak Yellow” star prompting the rapper to angrily launch her microphone into the crowd at the offender, but it’s unclear whether she hit the person who threw the drink on stage.
Cardi B appeared to mouth “jealous-ass bitch!” as the suspected culprit was escorted off the premises. She was later handed the mic back and resumed her performance.

Cardi later addressed the incident during an interview on The Breakfast Club.
“It was a really quick reaction,” she explained. “And let me tell you — I didn’t want to address it, because I thought a bitch gon’ go to jail. But I’m not.
“Let me tell you something: it was hot as fuck. That Vegas heat ain’t no joke. That shit was hot. It was hotter than a muthafucka; so there was a part of the show where I told people, like, you know, ‘Splash me.‘”

She continued: “But even when I told them, ‘Splash me,’ I was like, ‘Be careful with the face. Because the face is beat, bitch.’ So, fucking four songs after — nobody had splashed me, I told y’all to splash me for one little second. So four songs after, which is, I don’t know, 15, 20 minutes after, this bitch threw water and ice on my face. So I just automatically reacted.

Deion Sanders Reveals He Underwent Surgery To Cure Bladder Cancer

Deion Sanders is officially cancer-free after privately battling bladder cancer over the past few months.
The Colorado football coach revealed the health update during a press conference on Monday (July 28), that he had his bladder removed earlier this Summer following a cancer diagnosis. Joined by his doctor Janet Kukreja and athletic trainer Lauren Askevold, Sanders opened up about the road to recovery and why he chose to keep his health fight under wraps until now.

“It’s been a tremendous journey,” said the 57-year-old coach, who shared that he lost 25 pounds during the ordeal. He jokingly added, “I can’t pee like I used to pee … I depend on Depends” while acknowledging that his body doesn’t function quite the same. Despite the physical change, he confirmed he’s in remission and ready to kick off his third season at Colorado with no plans to slow down.

“I always knew I was going to coach again,” he said, swiftly shutting down any whispers of retirement
The NFL Hall of Famer has unfortunately had a history of health issues and has underwent several surgeries in 2021, including the amputation of two toes due to blood clots.

Despite his health challenges, Sanders signed a new five-year contract with Colorado earlier this year reportedly worth over $10,000,000 annually. Per the deal, he must alert university officials if he’s absent for more than five consecutive working days. The agreement also includes a clause that allows for termination if he’s unable to perform the core duties of his role, even with accommodations.
Amid his news, he encouraged other men to prioritize their health and get screened. “Men, everybody. get checked out … especially African-American men,” he urged while adding, “It’s tough. but I’m tougher.”

Muhammad Ali’s Ex-Wife Shades Laila Ali Over Claressa Shields Fight Talk
Muhammad Ali’s ex-wife Khalilah Camacho-Ali is making headlines after throwing some unexpected jabs at her ex-step daughter, Laila Ali. Amid renewed talks of a potential fight between the retired champ and Claressa Shields, Khalilah had a surprising take.
Following Shields’ decisive win over Lani Daniels at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Saturday (July 26), Khalilah was asked about the teased matchup and didn’t mince words. “I think Laila needs to stay in the kitchen,” she told Seconds Out, later repeating the remark during Shields’ post-fight press conference. She also declared to Shields, “You the champ. You the champ.”

Shields, who built her record to 17-0 with the victory, responded with a grin and a sharp comeback of her own: “Thank you. I am trying to whoop Laila Ali’s a**.”
The tension between Shields and Ali has been simmering for years, with the two trading verbal shots and Shields’ team even placing $15,000,000 in escrow in an effort to lure Ali into the ring. Shields, 30, has been vocal about wanting the fight with the 47-year-old. Ali retired in 2007 undefeated with a 24-0 record and 21 knockouts.

In a follow-up interview with Seconds Out, Camacho-Ali doubled down on her remarks. “Yeah, she’s a good cook,” she said of Ali, referencing the boxing champ-turned-entrepreneur’s line of seasonings and lifestyle products. “She got all kind of spices in her name.”
Khalilah, who was married to the late boxing legend from 1967 to 1977, didn’t stop there. She suggested that while Laila had success in her era, she lacked the aggression Shields brings to the ring today. “As a fighter, she’s not as good as Claressa,” she declared. “She doesn’t have that bulldog attitude.”

Though Laila once suggested a $15-$20,000,000 purse as her price to return to the ring, Khalilah questioned whether the fight with Shields and a potential loss would be worth the risk to her legacy.

“She’s too old for that and she’s not that good,” she said, later adding that Laila is a “great young woman with a beautiful family” and should let boxing stay in the past.
As of now, Claressa Shields and Laila Ali have not confirmed a boxing match.

#NYCTRAGEDY 4 killed, including off-duty officer, in Midtown office shooting; suspected gunman dead by suicide

A 27-year-old man wearing body armor and carrying an M4 assault rifle shot and killed four people, including an off-duty police officer, in a Midtown Manhattan office building Monday evening before killing himself, officials said.
A fifth victim was left critically injured in the shooting, officials said.
The shooting occurred just before 6:30 p.m. in an office building at 345 Park Ave. at East 52nd Street, which contains the headquarters for the investment company Blackstone and the National Football League, sources told ABC News.

It is unclear if those companies, or any company in the building, was a target in the shooting rampage.
After apparently barricading himself on the 33rd floor, the suspect, who was identified as Las Vegas resident Shane Devon Tamura, was found dead from what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to New York Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch.

Dan Krauth reports on what we know about gunman Shane Tamura.
During a news conference Monday evening, Tisch said preliminary information suggests the suspect traveled cross-country in a BMW from Las Vegas before arriving in New York City.
Tamura had a license to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Nevada. "We believe this to be a lone shooter," Tisch said.

Police say Tamura emerged from a double-parked BMW Monday evening with an M4 rifle.
A security camera image shows Tamura holding a long gun and walking outside the office building.
He entered the lobby of the Midtown tower alone and immediately opened fire on an NYPD officer and sprayed the lobby with bullets.
He made his way to the elevator bank, where he shot a security guard, Tisch said. He then went up to the 33rd floor, where he shot another person before shooting himself in the chest, she added.

Detectives are actively trying to determine why the suspect went to the 33rd floor - whether he specifically was headed there or if he simply wound up on that level. Rudin Management, the real-estate company, is located on that floor.
Officers searched the suspect's vehicle after the shooting, where they found a rifle case with rounds, a loaded revolver, ammunition and magazines, a backpack, "and medication prescribed to Mr. Tamura," Tisch said. He had a documented history of mental-health problems, Tisch said.
The motive is currently under investigation, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said earlier on Monday.
In total, four people were shot dead plus the shooter in what Mayor Eric Adams called a "violent, despicable" act.

The deceased included NYPD officer Didarul Islam of the 47th Precinct, who came to the U.S. from Bangladesh and who Adams said he had been on the force almost four years. He was working security in the building while off duty.
Sonia Rincon reports on the off-duty officer who was killed Monday.
"Early tonight, I met with the officer's family. I told them that he was a hero, and we admire him for putting his life on the line," Adams said.
Islam was married with two young boys, and his wife was pregnant with a third child.

The officer, and the surviving male civilian were taken to New York Presbyterian, where the civilian is in critical but stable condition.
Two other civilians, one male and female, both killed in the shooting, were taken to Bellevue Hospital. Police say another female was the victim found dead on the 33rd floor.
A witness inside the Midtown office building at the time of the shooting, detailed to ABC News what it was like at the scene as colleagues hid in lockdown, unsure of what was unfolding.

"The only thing between me and the door was a chair flipped over," Jessica Chen said of the initial moments of the lockdown. "I texted my parents 'I love them,'" she continued.
"Nothing can describe that feeling," Chen added.
Chen went on to say that she recalled doing active shooter drills in school and said she often wondered what she would do in this kind of scenario. "It's unfortunate that all Americans could think this through," Chen said.

Lucy Yang reports on the employees inside the office building, and the reaction from witnesses outside.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said she has been briefed on the situation.
KPMG, an accounting firm that also has offices in the building, released a statement after the shooting, saying, "Our hearts go out to the victims of this horrific act and their families."
"We are incredibly grateful for the bravery of building security and law enforcement," the company said.

Across the country, several squad cars from Las Vegas Metro Police have convened at entrances to the gated neighborhood where the purported suspect in the midtown Manhattan shooting was believed to have a home.
Detectives will be working throughout the night and the days ahead to piece together a profile of the man responsible.
Investigators are working to see where and when the gunman bought the high-powered rifle used in the rampage.

Detectives are now scrolling through thousands of surveillance cameras to pin point the gunman's movements, minute by minute.

Las Vegas Raiders release DT Christian Wilkins, Says he Allegedly Tried To ‘Playfully Kiss’ Teammate In The Locker Room
Christian Wilkins was released by the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday after a locker room incident involving unwanted physical contact with a teammate, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Raiders voided $35.2 million in guaranteed money from his contract in June due to his injury rehabilitation approach.

The incident occurred last week inside the Raiders' locker room when Wilkins kissed a fellow player on the head. The teammate took offense to the action and filed a complaint with the team's human resources department, which subsequently investigated the matter.

Sources told ESPN the interaction was "playful" from Wilkins' perspective, but the receiving player did not view it similarly. The locker room incident was not the sole reason for Wilkins' release, sources indicated.
The Raiders had already voided the remaining guaranteed money on Wilkins' four-year, $110 million contract on June 4. Team officials cited concerns about how Wilkins handled his rehabilitation from a Jones fracture suffered in his left foot last October.

Wilkins was released with the designation of terminated vested veteran. The NFL Players Association filed a grievance on his behalf Thursday, challenging the team's decision.
The defensive tackle signed his massive deal last offseason after spending five seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He recorded a career-high nine sacks in 2023 before joining Las Vegas.

Wilkins appeared in just five games during the 2024 season, collecting 17 tackles, two sacks and six quarterback hits before requiring season-ending surgery. The Raiders declined to comment through a team spokesperson. The Raiders are cutting Christian Wilkins in the wake of a dispute over whether or not he should undergo surgery on his injured foot and are attempting to void $35.25 million in remaining guarantees on the defensive tackle's contract, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday.

A grievance has been filed on Wilkins' behalf to fight such a void taking place, per Rapoport.
Las Vegas has since confirmed releasing Wilkins.
"We have decided that it is in the best interests of the organization to move on from Christian Wilkins and he has been informed of his release from the team," the Raiders said in a statement. "This franchise has a Commitment to Excellence on and off the field. With no clear path or plan for future return to play from Christian, this transaction is necessary for the entire organization to move forward and prepare for the new season."

Wilkins, who fractured his foot last season and missed all but five games, went on the physically unable to perform list to begin training camp and had an uncertain timeline to return. While the team wanted him to get surgery, the 29-year-old declined after receiving several opinions, according to Rapoport.

It's a shocking divorce, especially considering Las Vegas signed the defensive tackle to a four-year, $110 million extension only a year ago.
What does Wilkins' release mean for Raiders?
Wilkins was the biggest get for the Raiders last offseason, widely considered the best defensive tackle available and one of the top free agents overall, capable of turning a team's trenches around.

Instead, Wilkins delivered only 17 tackles and two sacks across his five games in silver and black before injury struck. He underwent surgery for a Jones fracture, and by organized team activities this offseason was still not ready to participate despite being in attendance. New head coach Pete Carroll described Wilkins' recovery as "challenging" at the time.

With no quick or easy solution in sight, Las Vegas made the difficult decision to move on, creating a hole on the interior far beyond the short term most expected as Wilkins worked to get back on the field.
Adam Butler remains one of the starters at defensive tackle, and free-agent signee Leki Fotu seems most likely to slot in next to him. Fotu, last with the Jets after four seasons on the Cardinals, has made 22 starts, though he doesn't pack nearly the same pass-rushing punch as Wilkins -- he has just 3.5 career sacks.

There's now also a much quicker avenue to playing time for a pair of Day 3 rookies, fourth-rounder Tonka Hemingway and sixth-rounder JJ Pegues, assuming the Raiders don't go out and add another veteran.
As for Wilkins, the 2019 first-round draft pick is now an injury-plagued season and a seemingly contentious split with the Raiders removed from his breakout 2023 campaign for the Dolphins in which he tallied nine sacks.

Somewhat underappreciated without a Pro Bowl to his name across six NFL seasons, Wilkins boasts 372 career tackles, 56 QB hits, 22.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.
Teams will certainly come looking, but questions will loom given his departure from the Raiders and the status of his foot.
Wilkins can make an impact for any team, from a Super Bowl contender down to those still looking to build, but he must get healthy.

Garcelle Beauvais spotted with mystery man in NYC stroll

Garcelle Beauvais has captured public attention once more, this time for matters of the heart rather than reality television drama. The actress and television personality made a striking appearance in Manhattan recently, stepping out with entrepreneur Earl Robinson for what appeared to be a romantic theater outing.

The pair was photographed outside the Hayes Theater, where they attended a performance of the Tony Award-winning production Purpose. Their coordinated evening wear and comfortable body language suggested a relationship that has moved beyond casual dating, sparking considerable interest among entertainment media and fans alike.

The Manhattan outing marked the couple’s first widely documented public appearance together. Beauvais, who departed The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills earlier this year, appeared relaxed and radiant as she navigated the bustling theater district alongside Robinson. Their synchronized stride and interlocked fingers painted a picture of two people genuinely enjoying each other’s company.

Social media quickly amplified images of the evening, with fans dissecting every detail of their interaction. The actress, known for her measured approach to sharing personal information, has yet to feature Robinson prominently on her Instagram platform, maintaining the air of mystery that has long characterized her approach to romantic relationships. Reports from entertainment outlets indicate the couple’s public outing has generated significant buzz about their blossoming romance.

Beauvais demonstrated her signature style sophistication in a form-fitting black lace dress that balanced elegance with contemporary appeal. The sheer elements of the garment were expertly tempered by a tailored black blazer, while a quilted clutch added textural interest to the ensemble. Her styling choices reflected the careful attention to detail that has made her a fashion favorite both on and off screen.

Her long, sleek hair and soft glam makeup completed the look, transforming her into the evening’s standout figure. Robinson complemented her aesthetic with classic menswear choices, opting for a navy pinstripe suit paired with crisp white shirting. His addition of a coordinating pocket square demonstrated an appreciation for sartorial details that matched Beauvais’ own fashion sensibilities. Together, they presented as a couple comfortable with high-profile attention while maintaining individual style identity.

Since concluding her tenure on Bravo’s flagship reality series in May, Beauvais has strategically pivoted toward projects that align more closely with her long-term career objectives. Her collaboration with Lifetime on upcoming programming represents a return to scripted content, an area where she initially built her entertainment industry reputation.

The actress gained widespread recognition through her role on The Jamie Foxx Show, where her character Fancy became a cultural touchstone for many viewers. That foundation in comedy and dramatic television has served her well as she navigates post-reality television opportunities alongside glamorous nights out and luxurious vacations.

Her social media presence reflects this transitional period, featuring glimpses of professional commitments alongside personal moments of travel and celebration from her adventures in New York and beyond. The curated content suggests someone actively engaged in reshaping her public narrative while maintaining connections with her established fanbase. Her Instagram serves as a testament to her vibrant lifestyle, showcasing stunning moments that demonstrate she is thriving and living her best life.
Beauvais‘ romantic developments have resonated particularly strongly within communities that value seeing successful Black women celebrated in loving relationships. Her visibility as someone who has navigated divorce, single motherhood, and career transitions while maintaining grace and authenticity has made her relationship status a source of genuine interest rather than mere gossip.

The support extending from her fanbase reflects broader conversations about representation and the importance of seeing diverse relationship models in entertainment media. While Beauvais has kept details about her love life relatively private, her fans are rallying behind her new relationship. The sight of a strong Black woman being celebrated and cherished resonates deeply with supporters who emphasize the importance of love and companionship.

Her approach to introducing Robinson gradually to public attention demonstrates awareness of these dynamics while protecting the relationship’s organic development. The smiles on their faces and the ease with which they interacted suggest a deep connection, leaving fans excited for what’s to come in this new chapter of her journey.

As Beauvais continues building her post-RHOBH career trajectory, her personal happiness appears to be flourishing alongside professional opportunities. The theater outing with Robinson suggests someone comfortable integrating romantic partnership with her established Manhattan social calendar. Whether it’s a theater date with a handsome entrepreneur or embarking on new career ventures, Garcelle continues to prove she is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with.

Her journey through love, career, and self-discovery resonates with countless individuals, making her not just a talented actress but a beacon of empowerment for many. The future holds promising developments for both her professional endeavors and her blossoming romance with Earl Robinson.

Chris Rock Jokes About Infamous Oscar Slap in Surprise Set
Two months ago Will Smith dropped a freestyle referencing the time he slapped Academy Awards Show host, Chris Rock, on live TV for joking about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith's, bald head
Over the weekend Chris joked about the incident during a surprise set at the Laugh Factory...

Chris Rock is no stranger to standing ovations, but the veteran performer received an extended one after taking the stage this week to debut new material during a surprise set at West Hollywood’s Laugh Factory.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Rock covered a range of topical subjects during the set, joking about everything from abandoning Love Island and divorce (by promoting his ex-wife’s attorney) to “wonderful” Halle Berry and the infamous Oscar slap.

Regarding the latter, the source said that Rock broached the subject only after an audience member lobbed a question about the incident which found Will Smith slap Rock in a shock incident during the 2022 Oscar ceremony. Rock answered with several “hilarious” responses, per a source.
“It was a night every one who attended will long remember,” concluded the source who called the set “remarkably brilliant.” No word on where Rock will turn up next or if he’s workshopping the material for an upcoming special.

Milagro Gramz Ordered to Pay Megan Thee Stallion

Two weeks ago Megan Thee Stallion demanded sanctions against gossip vlogger Milagro Gramz after she defied a court order to turn over her social media passwords and text messages

Now Milagro has been ordered to pay Meg $5,000...According to legal documents obtained by Complex, a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida is ordering Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, to pay fees incurred by the rapper's lawyers for forcing the disclosure of Cooper's texts, as well as other potential evidence.
Megan’s lawyers believe that some important texts and WhatsApp messages may have been tampered with, but the judge has yet to rule on that issue.

The rapper’s legal team claimed that Gramz missed the May 27 deadline to provide digital records that included her private messages and metadata that are connected to her public accusations. Despite the formal requests, her lawyers claim that Gramz has not submitted anything to them.
They’re also seeking for the court to compel immediate compliance and waive any objections that the blogger could raise.
Megan’s lawsuit against Milagro for engaging in an alleged “campaign of harassment” against the rapper was filed last year.

Eddie Murphy Teases His Inspector Clouseau Transformation for New Pink Panther Movie

Eddie Murphy confirmed during an interview on the Today show that he will star in a reboot of The Pink Panther franchise as Inspector Jacques Clouseau
Steve Martin most recently portrayed the iconic detective in 2006's The Pink Panther and a 2009 sequel, and Peter Sellers originated the part in several comedies made in the 1960s, '70s and '80s
"Well, he has to be French, but he could also be Haitian," Murphy said, when asked if his Clouseau will be French

Eddie Murphy has a new franchise on his hands.
The actor, 64, revealed during an interview with the Today show that aired Monday, July 28, that he will star in a new The Pink Panther movie while promoting his new action-comedy The Pickup.

“I’m getting ready to do a George Clinton, Parliament-Funkadelic. I’m getting ready to do George Clinton," Murphy said. “[I’ve] already started Shrek 5. And I’m going to be— I’m Inspector Clouseau in the next Pink Panther."
“Yeah, I’m the new Clouseau,” he added, after Today co-host Al Roker expressed surprise at Murphy's announcement.
When Roker asked Murphy whether he will play Clouseau — the detective popularized by Peter Sellers in the franchise's original movies in the 1960s and '70s — as French, Murphy laughed and said, "Maybe." He added, "Well, he has to be French, but he could also be Haitian. I will tell you, he’s Black. He’s Black, for sure.”

The Pink Panther movies started with the 1963 comedy, which starred Sellers as Inspector Clouseau, who is tasked with catching a jewel thief who intends to steal a diamond known as "the pink panther."
Sellers, who died in 1980 at age 54, reprised his role in a number of films in the franchise in the '60s, '70s and '80s. Steve Martin also starred as the character in a 2006 reboot and a 2009 sequel. The franchise is known for its iconic theme song and animated opening sequences, which feature an anthropomorphic pink panther.

Multiple outlets reported that Murphy was in talks to star in a new Pink Panther movie back in May 2023. As Murphy told the Today show, he is also working on a biopic that would see him portray funk music legend George Clinton, 84, which Variety first reported back in November 2024.

Outside of the upcoming fifth Shrek movie, Murphy also recently told Screen Rant that he will voice his iconic character Donkey in a standalone film that starts production in September.
“Usually I’m the young maverick guy. And now I’m the old voice of reason,” Murphy told the Today show of choosing roles at this point in his life. “When you get our age, you have to pay. If you whip somebody’s ass when you’re our age, you kind of whip your own ass too.”

Murphy most recently appeared in the 2023 holiday movie Candy Cane Lane and 2024's Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. After The Pickup begins streaming on Prime Video Aug. 6, Murphy will next appear on the big screen when Shrek 5 hits theaters on Dec. 23, 2026.

Jalen Hurts Debuts "University Red" Jordan Trunner O/S at Eagles Training Camp
Jalen Hurts made headlines off the field this week, reporting to Philadelphia Eagles training camp in the upcoming Jordan Trunner O/S. Known for its comfort-focused build and retro aesthetic, the model aligns perfectly with Jordan Brand's early 2000s off-season style—something MJ himself often embraced during downtime.

The revived silhouette stays true to the Trunner legacy, blending performance-ready details with lifestyle appeal. Dressed in a bold monochromatic "University Red," the pair Hurts wore features mesh, synthetics, and exaggerated tooling—perfectly suited for the grind of camp or laid-back summer moves. Branding remains minimal, allowing the design and color to do the talking.

With its roots in MJ’s Y2K-era workout rotation, the Jordan Trunner O/S returns this fall in several colorways. Fans of retro runners and team tunnel fits alike can look forward to a global release in October.

Stay tuned for more info on the Jordan Trunner O/S as its official Nike.com/Jordan launch approaches.
For more on Jordan Brand, the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 collaboration is set to release on Aug. 2.

Craig Melvin Donated Blood to Al Roker During Past ‘Health Issues’
Craig Melvin made a surprising — and meaningful — revelation about his and Al Roker‘s friendship.
After a week-long hiatus, Melvin returned to NBC’s Today on Monday, July 28. He kickstarted the week in a major way by donating blood live on air during a segment about the importance of how doing so can save lives.

At the top of the show’s third hour, Al Roker noted that he’s a “living example of being a recipient of those donations during my health issues. Melvin went on to recall, “That’s right, because I came over and gave [blood]. I wanted to make sure it was earmarked for you.”
Poking fun at his cohost, Roker joked, “Yeah, in fact, after I got Craig’s blood, I started talking slower and I started drinking more bourbon. So, bonus!”
Earlier on Monday morning, Melvin noted that “every two seconds,” someone in the U.S. requires a blood transfusion and shared that he has been a “regular blood donor for years.” Roker snuck up on Melvin in the middle of his conversation with NBC News medical contributor Dr. John Torres and his fellow on-air blood donors.

“What do you want your legacy to be?” Roker shouted as Melvin turned his head to face him, causing him to jump in his seat. “That could’ve gone another way,” Melvin quipped as Roker walked away laughing.
Though Roker didn’t specify which of his health issues Melvin donated blood for, but the weatherman has been candid with fans about his different struggles over the years. Back in November 2020, Roker revealed on-air that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
“It’s a little more common than people, I think, realize,” he explained at the time. “And so I just decided that I wanted to go public with this because one in nine men are going to be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. But for African American men, that number is one in seven, and is more deadly.”

He returned to Today later that month after undergoing surgery, during which Dr. Vincent Laudone revealed that there was “no evidence of any cancer.”
Two years later, Roker was hospitalized after blood clots were discovered in his leg and lungs. The health scare caused the TV personality to miss hosting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 27 years.

As he took time off from the show to recover, Roker was brought to tears when his Today colleagues surprised him by singing Christmas carols outside of his home in December 2022. “I just want to thank you all,” he said in a clip of the sweet moment. “It’s been a long, hard slog, and I’ve missed you all so very much. All these faces — it just means the world to me and to our family.”

In May 2023, Roker was hospitalized again to undergo knee replacement surgery but returned to Today that same month.

The 43-year-old rapper shared that he had lost his son in an Instagram post shared on Monday (July 28).
TMZ reports that Isaiah passed away on July 16 at the age of 20 following a seizure.

Ray J Shuts Down Long-Running Conspiracy Theory Linking Him to Whitney Houston’s Death
Ray J is speaking publicly for the first time about the ongoing rumors surrounding his relationship with Whitney Houston and his alleged connection to her death.
During his appearance on Cam Newton’s “Funky Friday,” Ray J addressed the false claims that have followed him for more than a decade. He explained that every time he goes live on Instagram, people flood the comments with accusations.

“If you look on all my comments, every time I go live, ‘You killed Whitney.’ That happens in spam,” he said.
Ray J made it clear that he was not even in the same city at the time of Whitney’s passing. He said he was in San Diego preparing for a performance, while Whitney was in Los Angeles. The two had planned to attend Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party together that night and were going to confirm their relationship publicly.

“That was my people,” he said. “To me, she wasn’t just Whitney Houston. She was Whitney.”
He also described what happened in the hours following her death on February 11, 2012. At first, he was not allowed upstairs at the Beverly Hilton. Later that evening, when family members were permitted access, he was able to go up. Ray J clarified that her bodyguard—whose name is also Ray—was the one who found her. He believes this may have caused confusion that fueled rumors about his involvement.

Addressing another long-standing rumor, Ray J denied ever supplying drugs to Whitney or any celebrity.
“I’ve never done one drug with Whitney,” he said. When Newton asked if he had seen Whitney use drugs, Ray J declined to elaborate.
“Whitney? I don’t want to talk about that. I’m way younger. She’s in control, she’s Whitney, she’s a boss. So, to make me the big dog—I’m not the big dog. I’m the little n*gga. I’m the little homie.”

He then reflected on how their relationship began and the positive moments they shared. He explained that he stayed silent for years out of respect for her memory, but as the rumors persisted, he felt he had no choice but to respond.
“This conversation was never supposed to happen,” he said.
Ray J expressed that he is still deeply affected by Whitney’s passing and the accusations that continue to follow him.

JaNa and Kenny From “Love Island USA” Season 6 Reportedly Call It Quits

It’s officially over between JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez, who won over fans on Season 6 of “Love Island USA.” According to TMZ, the pair broke up early Sunday morning, just after attending David Dobrik’s birthday party in Los Angeles.
The split comes as a shock. Craig and Rodriguez met in last year’s villa, had a brief fallout during Casa Amor, but got back together and appeared solid ever since.

Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed clues. Craig removed Kenny’s handle from her Instagram bio, unfollowed him, and disabled comments. Her besties, Leah Kateb and Serena Page, aka the Powerpuff Girls, also unfollowed Kenny.

Though the reason for the breakup hasn’t been confirmed, the fallout was instant and public.
