#RHOA: Here's Where Angela Oakley and Charles Oakley Stand After RHOA Season 16
During her rookie season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the real estate investor remained quite honest about her relationship with NBA legend Charles Oakley. Fans heard Angela speak candidly about her and Charles' brief separation after their wedding, the money and communication issues that affected their marriage, as well as the circulating rumors about Charles' past.
So, where does the couple stand after opening their marriage to cameras? Well, it appears they’re still going strong.
Angela Oakley and Charles Oakley celebrate nine years of love
On Thursday, July 31, the RHOA newbie took to Instagram to celebrate a major milestone in her marriage. Angela posted a Reel that began with a clip of herself sitting next to Charles before wishing him a “happy nine-year anniversary.”
“Thank you,” Charles responded.
The couple then went in for a kiss, but broke out in laughter before their lips could touch.
“Happy 9 year anniversary baby!” Angela captioned the footage. “I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone but you! I Love you!”
The Reel was a heartwarming blast from the past, as it included photos from 2014-2024 — every year Angela and Charles have been together.
Angela shed more light on her marriage to Charles in RHOA Season 16, Episode 2, explaining the origins of their romance.
“Charles and I met in Chicago at a party,” she said. “We exchanged numbers and then I didn’t hear from that man for another 10 years when we became neighbors in the same condominium. I feel like our relationship was destined to happen.”
Angela Oakley addresses the challenges in her marriage
Charles Oakley and Angela Reed attend the 2nd annual black tie holiday gala "A Night with the Stars" at The Westside Warehouse on December 11, 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia.
As the season progressed, Angela became more open about her and Charles' marital challenges and the steps they took to overcome them. “The secret for loving a man like Charles is just letting him be who he is,” she explained in Episode 3. “Charles and I sometimes [can] get in our own heads and he won’t hear me, I won’t hear him. And through therapy I realized I wanted him to change. Then I realized that I have flaws, too.”
Season 16 also found Angela addressing longstanding rumors about Charles’ alleged infidelity. Angela said the whispers began swirling years ago, when she hosted an event with former talk show host Wendy Williams.
“Now, you know [Wendy’s] husband was in the news for having a baby...” Angela explained. “So, I walked to Wendy and said, ‘It’s only a baby!’ [And] she was like, ‘Have you ever been through that?’ and I was like, ‘Yes, I have.’”
Angela said Wendy mistakenly assumed she was referencing Charles, but in reality, she was speaking about the father of her 24-year-old daughter, Ahmauri.
“It was as if I looked at Charles, and I said him,” Angela recalled about the Wendy exchange. “That’s not the truth, but the lie lived on.”

#HipHopNews: Meek Mill Teases Dropping A ‘Heavy Load’
Meek Mill has teased a big new release as he tells fans he is getting ready to drop a “heavy load”.
Responding to reports that he is the fifth most streamed rapper on YouTube, Meek wrote on social media: “And I’m about to drop a heavy load!!!!”
He also thanked fans for continuing to listen to him: “Shout out to everyone playing my music in their content! Everything aligning right! Make sure you use my new and old music. I own all the new but I still promo the old music because it laid the ground for me!”
The Philadelphia rapper has not released a solo album since 2021’s Expensive Pain.
Meek, who is never far from some controversy, again recently denied knowing anything about Diddy’s sex life.
Rumors have plagued the Philadelphia rapper ever since he was indirectly named in producer Lil Rod’s lawsuit as having sex with his friend and collaborator.
Meek has repeatedly denied the claims and in a new interview with Complex said: “I truly believe it is a group of people aiming to tear down rappers, or Black entertainers involved in this culture through media platforms. He sets up a hypothetical, trying to explain the threadbare, flimsy nature of ‘truth’ on the internet.
“There was never a way people could just put out one rumor, and say I raped a little girl … Now it’s in 15 publications that I raped a little girl. That’s defamation on any level, but it’s the way with social media and the internet.”
He went on to address Diddy more directly: “When I come around from Philadelphia, I always come around with three, four people. I’ve never been in these types of environments without my guys around. A lot of people, they said sex parties. I attended New Year’s parties. I never attended [Diddy’s] white parties.
“It’s kind of suspicious to me that none of those people from the Black community never spoke up and said those parties they went to wasn’t straight freak offs. I can just say, for me, I would never step in anywhere that I see anything that doesn’t align with my morals.”

“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother,” Anderson’s family said in a statement. A private family service is scheduled at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Anderson was born on August 5, 1945, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her television breakthrough came with WKRP in Cincinnati, which aired from 1978 to 1982. Her character, Jennifer Marlowe, was portrayed as both glamorous and competent, often managing chaos at the fictional Ohio radio station.
In 1983, Anderson starred with Burt Reynolds in the film Stroker Ace. The pair later married and remained in the public eye until their divorce in 1994. She later described their relationship as “tabloidy” and “a spectacle all the time,” but called their son, Quinton Reynolds, “the best decision that we ever made.”
Anderson authored a memoir in 1995 titled My Life in High Heels, which she described as “about the growth of a woman, a woman who survives.” She said, “You may not even tell the nicest things about yourself, because you’re telling the truth.”
Her final major acting role came in Lifetime’s Ladies of the 80s: A Divas Christmas in 2023. Her surviving family includes her husband Bob Flick, daughter Deidra, son-in-law Charlie Hoffman, son Quinton Anderson Reynolds, two grandchildren, a stepson, and two step-grandchildren.

Diddy Says He’s Being Served Maggot-Infested Food In Hellhole Jail
Diddy is demanding his release from federal custody, claiming brutal living conditions and government overreach have turned his time at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center into a nightmare.
In a letter filed Sunday (August 3), Diddy’s legal team urged Judge Arun Subramanian to grant bail ahead of his October 3 sentencing.
The Hip-Hop mogul was acquitted last month of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges, but remains detained on lesser counts under the Mann Act, which criminalizes transporting individuals across state lines for unlawful sexual activity.
His attorneys argue the government is punishing him more harshly than others with similar charges, despite a jury clearing him of the most serious allegations.
“Hellbent on punishing him for being a user of prostitution services in a more draconian manner than anyone in U.S. history, the government continues to target him unfairly, just as it has done from the inception of this provably misplaced investigation,” the letter states. “Despite the jury’s verdict, it continues to make factual statements that are plainly at odds with what twelve New Yorkers found and to try to keep Combs incarcerated even though the jury rejected the serious charges that led to his pre-trial detention in the first place.”
The filing also paints a grim picture of life inside MDC, citing frequent lockdowns, poor medical treatment and unsanitary food.
“MDC routinely serves food that is expired and infested with maggots…lockdowns also remain common, despite the government’s claims,” the letter reads.
Diddy’s lawyers say the facility’s conditions have deteriorated further due to federal budget cuts. They reference a case where 25 inmates and a former corrections officer were charged in connection with smuggling and violent incidents at the jail.
“Living conditions at MDC remain inhumane, and the situation has worsened due to federal budget cuts,” the letter continues.
They also argue that Diddy has not posed any threat while in custody, noting his clean behavioral record during 11 months of incarceration.
“Violent people are violent in jail as well. Sean Combs has been free of violence of every sort,” the letter adds.
The defense emphasized that Combs, a father of seven, remains committed to his family and has actively participated in his legal defense.
The government has yet to respond publicly.

Donald Trump Unloads On Racist Sleazebag Charlamagne Tha God

Donald Trump didn’t hold back when Charlamagne Tha God showed up on Lara Trump‘s Fox News show and trashed his presidency—he jumped on Truth Social and went scorched earth.
The ex-president fired off a 2:30 A.M. post on Sunday (August 3), calling Charlamagne a “racist sleazebag,” a “Low IQ individual,” and a “dope.”
Trump went off, writing, “Why is he allowed to use the word ‘GOD’ when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?”
And he didn’t stop there. Trump blasted, “This dope, Charlamagne, would vote for Sleepy Joe or Kamala?” Then added, “He has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done.”
So what set Trump off?
Charlamagne showed up on Lara’s show the night before and ripped Trump’s time in office. He said, “the least of us are still being impacted the worst” and “people are hurting.”
But there was more.
Charlamagne also said that Trump’s refusal to drop the Epstein files might push old-school conservatives to take back the GOP. He called it a possible “political coup” against MAGA leadership.
And when asked who he’d vote for, Charlamagne leaned toward Kamala Harris over Trump. That combo of criticism—bashing his record, questioning his base’s loyalty, and suggesting he’d pick Kamala—clearly hit a nerve and was enough to trigger Trump’s late-night post.
Trump watches a ton of TV—according to reports, sometimes as much as eight hours a day—and he probably caught every second of that interview.
And like clockwork, he jumped online to fire shots before the sun came up.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Fantastic Four’ is #1 but stumbles sharply at the box office as The Bad Guys 2 is #2 and Naked Gun is #3
Marvel's latest superhero flick "Fantastic Four: First Steps", has held onto the top spot at the North American box office for a second week, but not without concerns. Despite its strong debut of $117.6 million last weekend, the film saw a steep 66 per cent drop, collecting $40 million this frame, a decline steeper than DC's "Superman", which fell only 53 per cent in its second weekend.
The sequel's 10-day domestic total now stands at $198.4 million, narrowly missing the $200 million mark it had aimed to cross by Sunday. While Marvel's film struggled to maintain momentum, "Superman", still in its fourth week, has pushed past a $551.2 million global total, including $300 million in North America — the first DC film in three years to hit that milestone.
Overseas, "Fantastic Four" fared better, bringing in $39.6 million for a global tally of $368.7 million, of which $170.3 million came from international markets. By contrast, "Superman" has earned $235 million internationally to date.
Meanwhile, Universal and DreamWorks Animation's "The Bad Guys 2" performed solidly in its debut, earning $22.2 million domestically — the second-best animated opening of the year.
The film nearly matched the original "Bad Guys" (which opened at $23 million in 2022 and went on to earn $250 million worldwide). The sequel reunites director Pierre Perifel and producer Damon Ross, and sees the return of original voice talents Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, and Awkwafina, alongside newcomers Zazie Beetz, Richard Ayoade, Alex Borstein, and Lilly Singh.
In the film, the reformed animal outlaws face a new threat from a gang of criminal masterminds known as "The Bad Girls," voiced by Danielle Brooks, Maria Bakalova, and Natasha Lyonne.
Paramount's reboot of "The Naked Gun," starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, debuted to $17 million domestically and $28.5 million globally — exceeding expectations. The $40 million action-comedy marks Neeson's first major comedic role, portraying Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., son of the character originally played by Leslie Nielsen. Audiences gave it an A CinemaScore, signaling strong word-of-mouth.
The film, produced by Seth MacFarlane and directed by Akiva Schaffer, is the fourth installment in the franchise and comes 31 years after "Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult." The cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, and Danny Huston.
It also marks the final theatrical release under the current leadership at Paramount Pictures before Skydance, led by David Ellison, finalises its $8 billion merger with Paramount Global on August 7. Brian Robbins, the current studio chief and interim co-CEO, is expected to step down following the transition.
In other box office news, Universal's "Jurassic World Rebirth," produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin, remains in the top five, pulling in $8.7 million over the weekend. Its domestic haul now stands at $448.4 million, with a worldwide total of $766 million.
Neon's indie horror-comedy "Together," starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco, opened modestly with $6.8 million over the weekend and a five-day total of $10.9 million, rounding out the top six.

Claudia Jordan Claims Karrueche Tran LIED to Tracey Edmonds About Dating Her Ex-Fiancé Deion Sanders
Claudia Jordan claims her “good friend” Tracey Edmonds once asked her former employee Karrueche Tran if she was dating her ex-fiancé Deion Sanders and she replied, “No.”
In 2012, Deion Sanders and Tracey Edmonds first met at a movie premiere party. A few months later, the two-time Super Bowl champion reached out to do some business together. Edmonds ended up producing his reality show, ‘Deion’s Family Playbook.’ The two soon deepened their connection and by 2019, they were engaged.
However, by 2023, they had called it quits. In December 2023, the former NFL player and TV and film producer shared an amicable split after sharing 11 years together. The former couple shared the news in a joint statement on Instagram. They revealed that they both came to the decision that they were better off as friends.
Accompanying the statement in their caption, they shared a photo of themselves on a red carpet. The letter read:
“To EVERYONE who has been there for us, supported us, and shown us love… We have mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life AS FRIENDS and have made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared together.
Please keep us in your prayers as we go through this transition. Thank you for being there for us ALL THESE YEARS! We love you and appreciate you SO MUCH!”
Edmonds’ ex-fiancé went on to respond to the announcement in the comment section of the post. He said:
“Love u Tracey and You’ve been a true blessing to me. I appreciate the times we’ve shared and they laughs we’ve had. You are an amazing woman and a tremendous mother. God bless u with every endeavor and every step u take. You are HER. Tracey-Mack!!!”

Tank Slams Aaliyah’s New Song Featuring His Vocals

This month marks 24 years since Aaliyah’s passing. In memory of her legacy, on Friday (Aug 1), her camp released a new song, “Gone”. The new song features Tank and archival vocals from Aaliyah.
However, according to Tank’s recent Instagram post, the TGT member did not approve the final version of the song. Tank began his post expressing that the song, which was first teased in May, was made out of love for her.
“The Aaliyah song you are hearing featuring myself, I did out of love for her. I had concerns and I expressed them. From the track to the vocals to the mix and to the visual,” he told his 2.1 million followers on Instagram. “I still went forward knowing I would at least be able to approve the final products. I haven’t approved one thing you’ve heard or seen.”
Tank did not call out any person or record label in particular. He instead wanted to voice his perspective to assure fans he did not co-sign the final production.
“Gone” captures the essence of love’s trials and the importance of communication. Preceding the 4-min track, Tank expresses his gratitude for his musical alliance and friendship with the late singer. Throughout the track, Aaliyah recounts her side of the story with Tank responding in a melodic delivery. “Gone” is a classic example of R&B storytelling.

“My dream collaboration has always been Aaliyah. I wish we could have really, really done something cool. The song you hear me on, ‘Come Over,’ I just happened to walk in the studio that day. We were going to check on Babygirl and she was working with Johnta. I soon as I walk in, she says, ‘Tank can do it!’ And Johnta says, ‘Tank can do it.’ And I said, ‘Tank can do what?’ They sit me in the booth and that’s how I got on ‘Come Over.’”

Stephen Colbert Gets New CBS Late-Night Gig In Primetime With ‘Elsbeth’ Role

How is this for an ironic twist — as Stephen Colbert is preparing to say goodbye as the host of CBS’ The Late Show, he also is portraying a late-night host for CBS with a guest role on the upcoming third season of the network’s crime anthology Elsbeth, Deadline has confirmed.
Colbert is not playing himself in the episode, which filmed this week. According to Vulture, which first reported the news, he plays the host of the fictional Way Late with Scotty Bristol. Each episode of Elsbeth solves a different murder; it is unclear how Bristol is connected to that case of the week.
Primetime series take months of lead time from conceiving an episode to its filming, so Elsbeth’s late-night storyline had been in the works long before CBS announced two and a half weeks ago that The Late Show will be ending next May. It is another indication that the Late Show cancellation decision was likely a recent development.
Colbert’s guest appearance is believed to stem from a handshake “deal” he made with Wendell Pierce during the Elsbeth star’s appearance on The Late Show in February. After Colbert professed that he had long been asking CBS to play a corpse on one of the network’s crime dramas, Pierce promised to help. “I can make that happen,” he said, referring to Season 3 of Elsbeth, which had just been picked up. “I know a guy who knows a guy. We can get you on,” he added. (You can watch the video below.)
The jokey exchange led to real discussions and Colbert’s appearance on Elsbeth. The role of Bristol is believed to have been written for him. In the wake of the Late Show cancellation, the part could’ve been recast but everyone proceeded with the original plan.
Elsbeth, from Robert and Michelle King and CBS Studios, is headlined by Carrie Preston reprising her role from The Good Wife. Notable guest stars over the show’s first two seasons include Nathan Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Laura Benanti, Matthew Broderick and Retta.

Mel B Marries Hairstylist Rory McPhee for the 2nd Time in Morocco Wedding Ceremony:

Melanie "Mel B" Brown and Rory McPhee have tied the knot — again!
The former Spice Girl, 50, and her hairstylist husband threw a second wedding celebration at Selman Marrakech in Morocco, just one month after their first ceremony in London, England.
Sharing a photo from their nuptials in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, Aug. 3, the couple wrote in their caption, "We got married!!! Again! A wedding so good we keep the celebration going with our closest and dearest in our fav place at @selmanmarrakech ❤️❤️❤️ we had the time of our lives!!"
In the image, Mel B and McPhee could be seen dancing down what appeared to be the aisle at their wedding. The singer wore a red Justin Alexander dress, while McPhee opted for a classic and cool white and black ensemble.
Mel B and McPhee first got married on Saturday, July 5. The couple's romantic ceremony took place inside The Crypt of St. Paul's Cathedral and was followed by a star-studded reception at the Shangri-La Hotel inside The Shard in London, England.
Among the celebrity guests was "Baby Spice" Emma Bunton, plus Cara Delevingne, Katherine Ryan and Daisy Lowe.
Other Spice Girls bandmates Melanie "Mel C" Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) were not at the first wedding, but the latter two women sent Mel B flowers, according to Hello! Magazine.
During her Moroccan wedding, Mel C, 51, was in attendance. She commented on Mel B and McPhee's photo, writing, "What a weekend! So happy we got to share it with you."
For their first ceremony, McPhee referenced his Scottish heritage by wearing a kilt in McPhee tartan, while Mel B wore an ivory custom wedding dress from Josephine Scott. The strapless corset gown had a sheer illusion jacket embellished with pearls and was paired with a cathedral veil.
Caroline Black, the owner of Evelie Bridal Boutiques in London, helped the musician pick out her wedding attire.
"Mel was a dream to work with, bringing her own sense of style to the occasion," she told PEOPLE in July.
Mel B's dog, Cookie, delivered the wedding rings on a collar around her neck, according to Hello!
The outlet also reported that the newlyweds travelled across the capital in a horse-drawn carriage to their evening reception. Meanwhile, guests travelled via London buses decorated with fairy lights while being serenaded with the Spice Girls hit "Wannabe."
McPhee proposed to Mel B in 2022 while they were on a getaway in Berkshire, after the pair had been dating for three years.
“He said, 'I love you, you're my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,’ ” Mel B recalled while discussing her engagement on Celebrity Gogglebox in October 2022. "There were rose petals everywhere, a log fire, a hotel — which was Cliveden. It was very romantic. I love flowers."
In the past, Mel B swore to herself that she'd never wed again after her two divorces. She was previously married to Jimmy Gulzar and Stephen Belafonte. The pop star changed her tune after falling in love with McPhee.
“I was like, ‘I'm never going to get married again. Never, never, never. I'm never having a relationship. I'm fine by myself. I want to raise my kids, put my head down and work, and that's it. And then… never can say never, can you?” Mel B — who shares daughter Phoenix, 26, with Gulzar, daughter Madison, 13, with Belafonte, and daughter Angel, 18, with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy — told PEOPLE in March 2024.
She continued: “I believe in love, and clearly the other two marriages turned out to be not love, from their angle. So I feel like I've really missed out, and now I've got this opportunity to be properly in love with a really good guy who I know loves me for me, who's known me before I was a Spice Girl, why wouldn't I do that?”

Fan Arrested After Tossing Sex Toy on WNBA Court—Second Incident Sparks League Crackdown

The WNBA isn’t playing around after fans threw sex toys onto the court during back-to-back Golden State Valkyries games. The league confirmed the first fan was arrested following Tuesday’s game in Atlanta against the Dream.
“Any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities,” said the WNBA via the San Francisco Chronicle.
Another similar incident happened Friday in Chicago during a matchup against the Sky. Authorities were seen questioning fans at Wintrust Arena. That fan has yet to be identified.
Players are speaking out. “It’s super disrespectful,” said Sky center Elizabeth Williams. “It’s really immature. Whoever is doing it needs to grow up.”
Valkyries forward Cecilia Zandalasini added, “I mean, first of all, it was super dangerous. When we found out what it was, we just started laughing. I’ve never seen anything like that.”
Video of the incidents has gone viral, sparking jokes and criticism alike. But the league is clear—fan safety and respect are non-negotiable.
