#HOLLYWOODFAB: Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey at the WICKED FOR GOOD Sao Paulo Premiere

Ariana Grande’s flight was cancelled so it was up to newly elected Sexiest Man Alive Jonathan Bailey to pick up the slack as he joined Wicked: For Good co-star Cynthia Erivo in Brazil for the world premiere.
There will be no cosplay at this event. We wonder if Cynthia switched her outfit after Ariana cancelled, since they spent the first promo tour in such highly coordinated looks.

#RHOA: Charles Oakley Ordered to Pay $642K to Madison Square Garden After Judge Rules He Deleted Texts Linked to 2017 Ejection Case
One of the newest husbands on “Real Housewives of Atlanta” is preparing to fork over a hefty lump sum to settle a long-running legal battle.
Charles Oakley, husband of “RHOA” newbie Angela Oakley, has been ordered to pay $642,337 in legal fees tied to his 2017 altercation and removal from Madison Square Garden.
The ruling came from U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky on October 31. MSG’s legal team claimed the fees were necessary to recover Oakley’s deleted text messages connected to the case. They initially requested about $1.5 million, but the judge cut the bill down, calling the original fees excessive.
Oakley’s conflict with MSG stems from a New York Knicks game on February 8, 2017, when the former basketball star was ejected following an argument with security near owner James Dolan. The video showed Oakley being restrained and later handcuffed in front of fans. He was charged with assault and trespassing, but denied any wrongdoing.
“I shouldn’t have put my hands on anyone,” Oakley said after the incident, adding he only got physical after being surrounded by security.
The NBA even stepped in to try to cool things down, with Commissioner Adam Silver and Michael Jordan helping mediate, leading to the Knicks lifting Oakley’s ban from the arena. Still, Oakley sued MSG and Dolan for assault and defamation. While parts of that lawsuit are still active, the recent legal fee ruling is a major setback.
Oakley’s lawyer plans to appeal the ruling, arguing that MSG’s request was “wildly inflated.” With the new season of “RHOA” on the way, his legal woes could likely be a talking point amongst the ladies in the group.

Beyoncé’s New Holiday Merch References Running Joke About Blue Ivy Being Her Manager

Beyoncé’s new merch drop features playful nods to the ongoing joke that Blue Ivy is her manager.
The launch follows Blue Ivy’s selfie with Tina Knowles at the Angel Ball.
The collection also includes a “Sleighyoncé” hoodie, a festive robe and a kids’ tee with Rumi’s face on it.
Between Mariah Carey ushering in the Christmas season on Saturday (Nov. 1) and Beyoncé dropping festive merch, it seems like the holidays might be starting a bit early. On Wednesday (Nov. 5), the “COZY” singer updated her website with tons of new merch inspired by COWBOY CARTER and Santa’s favorite time of the year.
Funnily enough, a couple of the new items reference the ongoing joke about Blue Ivy possibly being Beyoncé’s manager. The BIC Zip Hoodie features the 13-year-old’s name on the front and “Management” across the back. There’s also a burgundy jersey with the same front design, except the “Management” text appears under a sketch of a horse in a Santa hat.
The reference came just over a week after Beyoncé posted a selfie of Blue Ivy and Tina Knowles from the 27th Annual Angel Ball. “Congrats, mom, on your philanthropy award at the Angel Ball tonight,” the caption read. In the comments, fans wrote things like, “We know Blue posted this ‘cause it actually got a caption” and “Blue just confirmed that she’s Bey’s manager.”
Among the other items available to shop via Beyoncé’s website are a “Sleighyoncé” hoodie and t-shirt, the latter of which featured an illustration of her riding in a red car similar to the one seen throughout the “Cowboy Carter Tour.” There’s also a “Been Cozy” robe in festive red and white, a 252-piece “Attack of the 400 Ft. Cowboy” puzzle, and a Rumi-themed tee for kids.
Pre-orders are expected to ship out on Dec. 12, which hopefully means fans should receive their items right in time for Christmas.
Speaking of the holidays, Beyoncé spent last Christmas performing the halftime show at the Houston Texans’ game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Beyoncé Bowl is currently available to stream as a standalone special on Netflix and YouTube.

Mario Once Again Addresses Notion He Doesn’t Like Black Women: ‘I Don’t Understand That'
Mario is setting the record straight about his love and respect for Black women.
During a candid conversation on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast, the R&B singer addressed speculation that he dislikes Black women, which he flatly rejected.
When Newton asked directly if he had “anything against Black women,” Mario responded, “No sir, amen, no sir I don’t, never have.” From there, the “Let Me Love You” singer went deep, reflecting on how the women who raised him shaped his outlook on life, love, and faith.
“My grandmother was my hero,” Mario said. “She was the contrast in my life when it came to understanding the importance of a Black woman, the strength, the soul, her relationship with God that was unwavering. She was used and abused for her strength, but she never wavered in her character.”
Mario also spoke emotionally about his complicated relationship with his mother, Shante Hardaway, whose struggles and resilience left a lasting impact.
“I was blessed to be born from her womb because she was talented and unstoppable,” he said. “But we had a very toxic relationship because I didn’t understand her struggles. That resentment shaped how I viewed trust and relationships.”
Later in the conversation, Mario addressed online criticism about his dating choices, saying he’s been confused by accusations that he doesn’t love Black women because of his interracial relationships.
“I recently posted something about the slander I see online, about Black women not being loved based on who people decide to date,” he explained. “I don’t understand that. There are so many Black couples thriving, doing amazing things, and they don’t get that same attention.”
Mario made it clear that his bond with Black women runs deep and continues to evolve. “Black women raised me. They were the first to tell me I’m amazing, the first to make me laugh, the first to make me cry. My fans, my core supporters, they’re Black women. So I don’t even understand that question.”
In recent weeks, the singer has also taken to social media to double down on that message. Frustrated with ongoing online commentary, Mario shared a passionate post defending Black women and rejecting any claims that he disrespects them.
“I’m so tired of the Black women slander in the comments about how I don’t like Black women and how Black women aren’t loved!” he wrote on Instagram. “If you’re making these comments, I’m convinced YOU have a problem with Black women.”
He ended his statement with a heartfelt tribute. “Black women are loved and needed,” he wrote, which was accompanied by emojis emphasizing his sentiment. The post appeared shortly after his girlfriend, Esmeralda Rios, announced her pregnancy.

Busta Rhymes Accused Of Trying To Silence Ex-Assistant With Defamation Suit

Busta Rhymes is being accused of weaponizing the legal system to suppress his former assistant’s speech after a $6 million lawsuit alleged physical assault and workplace misconduct.
In a new court filing submitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, Dashiel Gables pushed back against the Hip-Hop icon’s defamation countersuit, calling it a “retaliatory Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation,” or SLAPP.
Gables claims the countersuit was filed to punish him for speaking out and exercising his “constitutional right to petition for redress of grievances.”
Gables, who worked for Rhymes between July 2024 and January 2025, maintains that all his public statements and legal claims are accurate and protected by law.
“Truth is an absolute defense to defamation under state and federal law,” his legal team wrote in the filing.
The dispute stems from an incident on January 10, 2025, when Gables alleges Rhymes punched him in the face during an argument in the lobby of the rapper’s Brooklyn residence.
Gables claims he was later fired for reporting the incident to the police and has since suffered emotional distress, unpaid wages, and professional blacklisting.
Busta Rhymes turned himself in after criminal charges were filed and was charged with third-degree assault. He has denied all allegations and responded with a defamation countersuit in October 2025.
His attorneys argue that Gables made false and damaging claims to the media and at a press conference, including accusations that Rhymes spat on staff, made threats, and forced another assistant to unclog a toilet with his bare hands.
Busta Rhymes’ legal team is seeking damages and a retraction.
Gables argues that the countersuit is not only meritless but also an attempt to silence him through intimidation.
“The statements in Plaintiff’s Complaint are protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution,” his attorneys stated.
He also contends that his claims involve “matters of public interest,” such as workplace safety and alleged violence by a public figure, which he believes should receive “heightened constitutional protection.”
The former assistant is asking the court to dismiss Rhymes’ counterclaim entirely, award him attorney fees, and impose sanctions on the rapper for what he calls a “frivolous and retaliatory counterclaim.”
The court has not yet ruled on the motion to dismiss the countersuit.

Janice Combs Blasts Former Executive’s Claim She Helped Diddy Steal Ownership Of Bad Boy
Burrowes claims Combs forced him to sign over his ownership stake while wielding a baseball bat.
Janice Combs — the 84-year-old mother of embattled hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs — is pushing back hard against fresh legal claims tying her to her son’s decades-old business dealings.
Now going by the name Janice Smalls, she has filed a motion asking a judge to dismiss former Bad Boy Entertainment executive Kirk Burrowes’ lawsuit, which accuses her of helping Diddy forcibly obtain Burrowes’ 25% ownership stake in the label back in 1996.
According to AllHipHop, Smalls insists she had no involvement whatsoever in the alleged incident or in the negotiations surrounding Burrowes’ stake in Bad Boy.

The lawsuit also names Diddy’s longtime attorney Kenneth Meiselas as a co-defendant. Smalls’ filing notes that she hasn’t resided in New York since 2012 and has been residing in Florida, distancing herself geographically and personally from the claims.
Burrowes originally brought similar allegations two decades ago, filing a 2003 lawsuit against the incarcerated mogul and Meiselas in which he alleged that he had been forced to sign over his stake under the perceived threat of being beaten with a baseball bat.
That case was dismissed in 2006, when a judge ruled that the statute of limitations had expired. Burrowes’ new complaint seeks to revive those long-settled accusations by tying Smalls to the alleged scheme — a connection she flatly denies.
Adding to her legal troubles, Smalls was also mentioned earlier this year in a $33 million federal RICO complaint filed by former Diddy associate Deon “D1” Best, who accused her of helping steal his intellectual property rights, royalties, and publishing revenue.
The suit specifically referenced the 1998 Godzilla soundtrack hit “Come With Me”, claiming Best “controlled, owned, produced and/or created” the song before the rights were allegedly taken. That lawsuit, however, was dismissed without prejudice in September.
For now, Smalls’ motion to dismiss Burrowes’ latest filing is awaiting a judicial ruling.

DJ Premier Slams People Who Violated Privacy At D’Angelo’s Funeral

DJ Premier is setting the record straight about what went down during D’Angelo’s funeral service.
The legendary producer shared his disappointment after attendees ignored the family’s heartfelt request for privacy at the late singer’s homegoing celebration.
The funeral for D’Angelo, who passed away at 51 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer, took place at Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in Henrico, Virginia, on November 1.
According to DJ Premier, anyone attending had to complete an application and be approved to enter the service.
Along with that approval came one clear rule: no photos, videos, or social media posts.
But that didn’t stop folks from doing exactly the opposite.
In a now-viral video, DJ Premier expressed his frustration over how quickly photos, funeral programs, and videos spread online.
“Yo, you had to fill out an application to get in and get approved… and before you submit it, it said please don’t post, don’t film, and let’s keep it private,” Premier said.
“People are running amuck all over there posting sh-t, the program, even the cemetery. Fake love is even at your funeral.”
He added that despite the violation, the service itself was deeply moving.
“Salute to his whole family who was amazing… Michael Eugene Archer, we love you. D’Angelo forever, man. Into infinity.”
Was DJ Premier’s Outrage “Damage Control”?
While many agreed with DJ Premier’s message, not everyone was convinced his outrage was genuine.
Some pointed out that he also appeared in a photo taken during the service, a move critics say contradicts his stance.
“If you truly stood with the privacy rules, why pose for photos?” one commenter wrote. “This feels like damage control since the guy he posed with posted the whole program.”
Regardless of which side you land on, one thing’s clear: the tension between public admiration and private grief is a complicated one, especially when it involves a legend like D’Angelo.

Susan Lorincz threatens defamation lawsuit against AJ Owens’ mother, children
Susan Lorincz, the Marion County woman convicted of manslaughter for shooting and killing her neighbor, Ajike “AJ” Owens, in 2023, is now threatening a defamation lawsuit against Owens’ children and mother.
Recently filed court records show a four-page letter from Lorincz planning to countersue after Pamela Dias, Owens’ mother, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against her.
Lorincz claims Owens’ children lied in their depositions and trespassed on her property prior to the shooting. She claims one of the children lied about her allegedly throwing a skate at him.
After the altercation, the child told his mother, and Owens knocked on Lorincz’s front door to confront her about allegedly assaulting her son. Lorincz fired a single shot through the locked front door, striking and killing Owens as she stood next to her son.
She wants to sue for slander, libel, and defamation of character for damages exceeding $50,000.
Also named in the letter is Lorincz’s former landlord. She claims he did not secure her property correctly.
Lorincz is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence. She declined to testify at her trial.
A newly released Netflix documentary titled “The Perfect Neighbor” has reignited public interest in the case.
In September, TV20 conducted a one-on-one interview with Lorincz inside the Homestead Correctional Institute, the Florida prison where she is being held.
During the exclusive interview, Lorincz recounted her version of the confrontation with Owens’ children, “There were three boys, and they were very close to my sidewalk, and they had their skates around and stuff. I had fallen over a skate, and I said, ‘Guys, pick up your skates,’ and they’re like, ‘No.’”

In her filing, Ellis claimed that on September 2, during the trial, Cardi threw a pen at a third party outside the courthouse. The pen did not appear to make contact with the man.
Ellis’ lawyer alleged, “The incident happened while she was on a lunch break during the trial. The incident caused another individual to get pushed and injured. It was also completely unlawful and disrespectful for [Cardi] to injure others during the trial” at the courthouse “which she did.”
In the motion, Ellis’ lawyer said he needed additional time to investigate whether the incident was witnessed by jurors. “Jurors would be intimidated if they had viewed this type of conduct.”
In a separate filing, Cardi’s legal team claimed Ellis’ legal team violated the court order to not bring up certain topics during the trial. A judge has yet to rule on either request.
In her lawsuit, Ellis was seeking a reported $24 million in damages over the alleged assault by Cardi. She was awarded nothing following the trial.

Amid other real estate losses, the controversial music and fashion mogul has since fallen behind on the property’s tax bill, Crain’s Chicago Business reported.
An entity tied to West owes Cook County, Illinois an overdue property tax bill of about $1,514, the outlet reported. Similar to the house itself, the bill is modest compared to the rest of the rapper’s multi-million-dollar property portfolio. But his trove or trophy homes, too, have faced financial setbacks.
West recently racked up real estate losses in California and Wyoming, and is attempting to offload several other properties. This follows the hip-hop legend’s years-long fall from public grace amidst erratic behavior, mental health problems and antisemitic comments.
Meek Mill Says Police Are Targeting Him Despite Holding Gun Licenses in Multiple States

Meek Mill says police are targeting him for gun possession despite holding licenses to carry in multiple states.
The 38-year-old rapper fired off a post to his X account on Wednesday (Nov. 5), asking fans how he could secure licenses in all states to avoid future issues with law enforcement.
“Just thinking about how the cops blitz me for a firearm,” Mill wrote. “I got firearm license in like 40+ states ... I also be with people that's license to carry in nyc ... somebody help me get my license in all states so I can remove that stuff from even chasing me to mess my life up.”
The post appeared to reference his recent encounter with New York City police earlier in the week. On Saturday morning, Meek tweeted that he had been detained outside a local nightclub.
"They just pulled me out the car and cuffed me in front of the whole club embarrassed the shit out of me in nyc! I'm not scared to go outside without a gun ... they had guns in my face for no reason smh I thought it was a prank,” he wrote.
"They tryna get me," he added in a separate tweet.
According to TMZ, officers stopped three men shortly after 4 a.m. on Saturday following a report of a man with a gun in his car. No weapon was found, and all three individuals were released.
Mill, who has a long legal history but has since become a prominent advocate for criminal justice reform, co-founded the REFORM Alliance with Jay-Z and several business leaders including Michael Rubin, Robert Kraft, Clara Wu Tsai, and Daniel Loeb.
His advocacy followed years of legal challenges stemming from earlier convictions and probation violations. In 2009, the “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper had gone to jail on weapons and drug charges, receiving 11-to-23 month sentence.
In 2017, he was sentenced to two to four years in prison for violating probation but was released after five months by order of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and placed on a ten-year probation term.
Six years later, Meek stood alongside Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as the state signed three bills reforming probation laws, telling reporters, "We tried to be better but they labeled us as felons, sent us back to jail. I had to fight against that the whole time to gain my respect and be who I am today, and I'm proud of that."

Sam Smith opens up about 'nightmare' of getting liposuction at 13: 'I was just getting so teased'

That's how the "Latch" singer described their young adulthood prior to making the decision to undergo liposuction.
"I had surgery on my chest when I was 13 years old, because I had a growing chest," Smith explained on Wednesday's new episode of Penn Badgley's Podcrushed podcast. "There were all sorts of reasons why, but mainly, I was just getting so teased, I couldn't go swimming in school, and I couldn't — like, getting changed in the locker room was hell. So I got liposuction when I was 13 years old."
The turbulence of this tender time in Smith's upbringing was clear even from their tone of voice while reflecting back. But they did remember their parents as "hugely supportive of the whole thing, because they just saw how much it was crippling everything about me."
Getting into specifics, Smith recalled that it was "just all a struggle with food and stuff. And the liposuction, it worked, but it was also a nightmare because they gave me a bandage." That bandage, which Smith was made to wear around their healing torso, wound up to be the undoing of the whole ordeal.
"If I wore the bandage, it meant that I would get to the front of the lunch queue," Smith joked. "So I just kept this bandage on for nearly a year, and I'd be like, 'Oh, don't come close to me,' and then I'd just get first at lunch... so the surgery never really worked."
Smith went on to explain how they've grown to be much more comfortable in their skin. Opening up about the procedure has helped — something they first chose to do in 2019, five years after their debut album, In the Lonely Hour, broke them out to international stardom. At the time, Smith's recollection about their age was a little different, however.
“I used to get my mom to write a note to the school when I was like eight, so I wouldn't have to go to swimming lessons. So it's something that's been in me forever," the singer told The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil then. "When I hit 11 years old, I went to the doctor's. I was so self-conscious that it was affecting my mood every day. I had liposuction, I was 12 years old."
In 2023, Smith helped blaze a new trail by helping German pop star Kim Petras make Grammys history. Their baroque hit "Unholy" won them Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2023 awards, making Petras the first openly trans winner in the ceremony's history.

Miss Universe Contestants Walk Out in Protest After Executive Publicly Humiliates Miss Mexico During Live Event [Video]
Tensions ran high during a Miss Universe pre-pageant event in Thailand when several contestants appeared to walk out in defense of Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch, after a public confrontation with pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisil.
In a Facebook Live video from the event, Itsaragrisil scolded the women, insisting they promote the host country. Turning his attention to Bosch, he accused her of refusing a photo shoot and claimed she wasn’t posting content on her director’s orders.
“Be careful. You are in Thailand. You are in a game,” he warned, before calling her a “dummy.”
Bosch stood up to defend herself, but was quickly interrupted. “Because I have a voice,” she firmly stated. “You are not respecting me as a woman.”

He asked why she remained standing, but Bosch was not done making her point. Itsaragrisil called for security, sparking visible protest from the other contestants. Bosch exited while saying, “As women, you need to show respect for us.”
Miss Universe later released a statement reaffirming its commitment to “respect, safety, and integrity” and confirmed the show would go on as planned. The organization stated that its Chief Executive Officer, Mario Bucaro, will travel to Thailand to “strengthen collaboration” with the country.

Jimmy Kimmel Transforms His Late-Night Studio Into a Food Bank to Help folks with SNAP Benefits
Jimmy Kimmel is poking fun at Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” by launching a new initiative to give back to so many in need. His late-night show just introduced the “Big, Beautiful Food Bank,” a donation center set up right on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Hollywood backlot. The move is a response to a serious problem as millions of Americans risk losing access to food assistance.
“Cutting SNAP benefits creates uncertainty for American children, seniors, and families,” Kimmel’s team shared on Instagram. “To support our community members in need, we’re starting a donation center in our Hollywood backlot.” They encouraged, “If you are in LA, please come by to donate food, and if you are not, please consider supporting your local food banks.”
SNAP, which supports more than 42 million Americans, is at risk due to the ongoing government shutdown. Ronald Ward, a senior official at SNAP, issued a warning that if the budget isn’t resolved soon, there won’t be enough money to fund benefits this month.
Kimmel’s food bank is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 6901 Hawthorn Ave in Los Angeles. Donations of non-perishable food, baby items, and hygiene products are all being accepted.
