#MAGFAB: Rosalía Covers the Latest Issue of VOGUE Magazine

Spanish megastar Rosalía speaks with Abby Aguirre about how her career-defining album “Lux” came together and what’s next.

Rosalía on the inspiration for Lux: Fifteen of the 18 songs on the album were inspired by the stories of female saints and mystics. During her year of writing, Rosalía studied hagiographies. She tells VOGUE, “So many of these saints were nuns, and I found it so amazing to learn about their lives, learn about how they would express themselves. They would have an experience of God, and they would explain it with words. Just speaking. It was another way of knowledge, no? Another way of understanding lo divino. And I feel like nowadays a lot of people reference celebrities, and celebrities reference celebrities. I prefer to reference saints.”
On her new rule for the album: Going into Lux, Rosalía made a new rule: No loops. She wanted to spend less time in front of a computer, to use her instrument more, to really sing. “I wanted it to be más físico, Music in its physical state. That can be instruments, objects. It can be human. It can be the air, the metal, the wood. And the orchestra, in a way, I feel it’s maybe the most monumental version of that. Of music in its physical form,” she tells VOGUE.

#RHOA: Todd Tucker with Kandi Burruss In Divorce Court + Claims She Made Travel & Scheduling Decisions Regarding Their Children Without Consulting Him

New court filings in the divorce between Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker reveal Todd is pushing back aggressively and asking the court for expanded authority over their children.
According to Urban Belle Magazine, Todd is requesting that a Fulton County judge designate him as the temporary primary custodial parent, arguing he has been the children’s main caregiver while Kandi has worked out of state. He claims responsibility for daily routines, schooling, supervision, and transportation, and disputes assertions that he has interfered with Kandi’s parenting time.

Todd also challenges Kandi’s account of a Christmas travel dispute, stating he personally transported the children to New York so she could spend the holiday with them. He contends tensions arose because travel plans were made without his consultation, not because he attempted to block access.
On child support, Todd denies neglecting financial responsibilities, saying expenses were divided by mutual agreement and noting the couple’s shared property holdings. He maintains that court intervention is only necessary due to unresolved scheduling disagreements.

Do you think this divorce will wrap up anytime soon?

#MusicNews: Jill Scott is Live From The Front Porch & Debuts Feel-Good New Song ‘Liftin Me Up’

Jill Scott’s promotional blitz for her new album To Whom This May Concern has kept her booked and busy. With days to go before the project drops this Friday, February 13th, Jilly from Philly took the rollout to the DMV for a performance on Live From The Front Porch and had a lawn party while singing classic selections and premiering a brand-new song.

The neo-soul goddess got the party started with a red Solo cup in hand and go-go in the air. Jill popped out with “It’s Love” from her debut album Who Is Jill Scott? - Words And Sounds, Vol. 1 and quickly put it in the pocket. Accompanied by a drummer, percussionist, bassist, guitarist, four-piece horn section and three supporting vocalists, Jill got into the groove and made herself at home there.

“This is live music!” Scott shouted as the band took over with an extended instrumental. She smiled widely and bopped along to the players playing. Jill took a beat to shout out Front Porch and to introduce the next song.

“I got a new song for my beloved DMV. You’ve been so good to me these last 25 years, baby. And this is just for you, and it’s the truth,” she said before launching into the song “Liftin Me Up,” a new track from To Whom This May Concern. Sharing the same go-go DNA as “It’s Love,” the segue between tracks was smooth, and the lyrics were just as loving. Instead of singing about a person, though, this love letter was an offering of thanks to the Washington, D.C. area.

“Your love keeps lifting me up / You remind me that I’m free, ain’t nothing hindering me / You’re like aloe to my cut, keep lifting me up,” Jill belted on the chorus of the feel-good song.

After breaking us off with something new, Scott returned to her crates for her last two selections. She dipped back to her first album to perform “Whatever,” then finished big with “Golden,” the lead single from her sophomore set Beautifully Human: Words And Sounds, Vol. 2.

It’s no surprise that Jill Scott showed up, showed out and showed love on Live From The Front Porch. Jill and her band smashed this performance that was equal parts concert, jam session and party — and all the way live.

#HipHopNews: Larry June, Curren$y & The Alchemist Dropping Joint Album This Month
Curren$y, Larry June and The Alchemist‘s long-awaited collaborative album is finally set to drop this month.
Spitta announced the news in a recent interview with NOLA News, saying: “Me and Larry June dropping February 20th. We shot three [music videos], so we’re dropping the album February 20th.”

Further details on the project, such as a title, tracklist and any potential features, have yet to be revealed, although the trio have been spotted together in recent weeks reportedly shooting music videos.
A full-length effort between the indie rap stalwarts has been in the works for several years, with Larry June previously discussing the album during an appearance on The Rap Radar Podcast in 2022.

“We just gotta get together and shoot the visuals … We gon’ get to it … That’s my bro, man. I have nothing but love and respect for Curren$y,” the Bay Area native said.
“Curren$y actually called me one day and was like, ‘Larry, I love your trap shit but you gotta do that smooth shit. We gotta clean the kitchen to your shit!’ I was like, ‘Man, you know, you kinda right!’ I actually like doing the smooth shit better, and ever since then I was rocking with it.

“He actually gave me a lot of advice on the shit I was doing. There was a point in time where I was kinda discouraged with music like, ‘Damn, am I doing this shit right?’ He was like, ‘Man, don’t trip. Just keep rocking and you’ll have everything you want off this shit.'”
The trio have already proven they have undeniable chemistry on tracks like “Endurance Runners” and “Barragán Lighting,” while The Alchemist has separately released multiple joint projects with Curren$y and Larry June.
For a while, it appeared that an album between the three of them might not happen due to apparent tension between Spitta and Uncle Al, stemming from the fallout from their 2018 Fetti EP with Freddie Gibbs.

Following its release, Gibbs called out Curren$y for not properly promoting or being invested in the project, leading to their once-tight relationship souring.
“I definitely would never do that shit with Spitta again,” he declared on the Butcher Block podcast last year. “I don’t fuck with that n*gga at all. If I see that n*gga, I won’t even speak to him.”
Gibbs added: “For a muthafucka to get Alchemist to do an album, have you do artwork, get everything together. I did the whole rollout for that Fetti shit. The whole idea was mine. That n*gga was like, ‘Let’s just rap on these Alchemist beats and put it out.’

“The whole business shit was lackadaisical and a muthafucka ask me why I don’t fuck with Curren$y. Because you played me on some business shit and I thought you was my friend … We were supposed to shoot videos … The n*gga just stopped texting back.”
Curren$y later addressed his former collaborator’s comments in an interview with XXL, suggesting that he felt betrayed by The Alchemist for reuniting with Freddie Gibbs on Alfredo and Alfredo 2.

“Al solid. He neutral. He make the beats. So it ain’t no G-code with bro. I ain’t tripping off that. But with that being said, I can’t get in the car with you because I know for sure what I can’t expect,” he said.
“I told him it’s good. But I told him, if it was me and the muthafucka said something about you, the song wouldn’t exist. I wasn’t tripping. I’m not tripping. But the same way I know, clearly, I’m guessing me and this man [Freddie Gibbs] won’t do no music, y’all in the same car.”

However, the Jet Life chief indicated that he was not willing to let the situation sabotage his album with Larry June and The Alchemist, adding: “For the good of music, and the sounds that me and Larry put down already, I probably gotta let the people have this good shit.”

Person detained for questioning in Nancy Guthrie disappearance

Individual detained Tuesday south of Tucson, Arizona, in relation to case of mother of NBC’s Savannah Guthrie
A suspect in the abduction of US television host Savannah Guthrie’s elderly mother, Nancy, was taken into custody in Arizona on Tuesday, nine days after the 84-year-old woman was reported missing, according to a law enforcement official briefed on the case.

The Pima County sheriff’s department issued a separate statement online late on Tuesday saying deputies had “detained a subject during a traffic stop” and that the individual was “being questioned in connection to the Nancy Guthrie investigation”.
No further details were immediately available, and it was not clear whether the “suspect” taken into custody and the individual described as a “subject” detained in a traffic stop south of Tucson were the same person.

But the apparent breakthrough came hours after authorities released video and photos of an armed man in a ski mask tampering with the door camera of Nancy Guthrie’s home near Tucson on the morning that she was taken from her residence.
Door-camera video shows individual appear to tamper with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door – video
The FBI director, Kash Patel, published the images as the search for Nancy Guthrie, 84, stretched into its second week, saying the images had been “previously inaccessible” but were subsequently obtained from “residual data located in back-end systems”.

The black-and-white images depict a masked figure wearing gloves and a backpack approaching the door of Guthrie’s house. In one of the images, the person waves what appears to be a plant – and in the other, they begin to dismantle the Nest camera.
“Working with our partners, as of [Tuesday] morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at … Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance,” Patel wrote on X.
Savannah Guthrie issued a desperate plea on Monday for anyone who might know anything about her missing mother to contact law enforcement. “We are at an hour of desperation,” she said. “And we need your help.”

The FBI has yet to identify a suspect, a day after the lapse of a deadline set by a ransom note from the octogenarian’s purported kidnappers.
The Guthrie family said on Sunday that they would pay kidnappers to ensure she safely returns home. Authorities have not confirmed the veracity of this ransom demand.

Efforts to contact the kidnappers appear to have fallen short, with officials saying on Monday night that they were “not aware of any continued communication between the Guthrie family and suspected kidnappers, nor have we identified a suspect or person of interest in this case at this time”.
The FBI said the agency was sending more agents from field offices across the US to Guthrie’s home city of Tucson, Arizona, outside of which her blood had been found.

“We are currently operating a 24-hour command post that includes crisis management experts, analytic support, and investigative teams. But we still need the public’s help,” NBC News quoted the FBI as saying. “Someone has that one piece of information that can help us bring Nancy home. We need that person to share what they know. Please call us at 1-800-CALL-FBI.”

Separately, the Guthrie family’s pastor, Michael Rudzena, described Nancy on television as a “strong woman” and “fiercely loving”.
They had said that one roadblock in the ensuing search for Guthrie was the fact that somebody had disconnected her doorbell camera when she disappeared. And because she was not actively subscribed to the doorbell camera service provider, they could not immediately get images, they said.

Nate Dogg’s Son Accuses Snoop Dogg Of Taking His Father’s Masters
A tense and emotional situation is developing around the legacy of the late Nate Dogg, as his son, Nathaniel Hale Jr., has publicly accused Snoop Dogg of taking control of his father’s master recordings without the family’s full consent. The claims surfaced during a recent podcast appearance, where Hale Jr. spoke openly about long standing concerns within the family regarding what happened to the recordings after Nate Dogg’s health began to decline.

Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Hale, passed away in 2011 at the age of 41 after suffering multiple strokes, leaving behind one of the most recognizable voices in West Coast Hip Hop and R&B. According to Hale Jr., the masters were placed in the care of his grandmother while his father was battling health issues, and that decision later became the center of confusion and disagreement.

“There is something going on that’s a feud right now,” Hale Jr. said. “I’ll be the one to say it because it’s my family. […] And some sh*t went down at a show recently, so I feel comfortable sharing and speaking on it.”
He went on to explain what he believes happened with the recordings during that time. “Supposedly, Snoop got the okay from my grandma to go to her house and get my Pop’s masters,” he said. “She pretty much showed home here the masters were, or however this occurred, and he left with the masters. When my Daddy got sick, my uncle placed the masters at my grandma’s house. He wasn’t aware that Snoop went to my grandma’s house and got the masters.”

Hale Jr. made it clear that much of what he knows is based on what has been shared within the family and that the issue has already caused tension. “And I’m only repeating what my uncle is riding on,” he added. “Me and him just got into a big feud at Warren G’s show recently in front of a lot of people and it was embarrassing almost, and we haven’t talked since. […] I don’t know what’s what, but I’m just sharing what’s out there.”

Despite the accusations, Hale Jr. also acknowledged that Snoop has consistently denied having the recordings. “What Snoop has always told me is he don’t got it, and he would never do something like that,” he said. “I at least want to know that he did get them and they are safe.”
The situation adds a complicated layer to a relationship that was once defined by brotherhood. Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg built a legendary musical connection out of Long Beach, helping shape the sound of West Coast Hip Hop through countless collaborations that became staples of the culture. Now, more than a decade after Nate’s passing, questions about ownership and preservation of his work have created a family dispute that remains unresolved, with Hale Jr. seeking answers and reassurance that his father’s legacy is protected.

‘Real Housewives’ Star Fired From New Show Over Racist Bad Bunny Rant

Jill Zarin is without a job, again. Years after being let go from The Real Housewives of New York City, the former Bravo star has been let go from a spinoff that was set to premiere on E! due to insensitive and perceived racially charged comments she made amid her reaction to Super Bowl 2026 Halftime performer Bad Bunny’s performance.

The show was set to be a reunion of the OG’s from the Bravo franchise. It was tentatively titled, The Golden Life, which was announced on Feb. 3, before the show entered the production phase.
The new show’s producers, Blink49 Studios, revealed in a statement today that they were cutting ties with Zarin, saying: “In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in ‘The Golden Life.’ We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.”

During Super Bowl Sunday, after Bad Bunny’s halftime show performance, Zarin went on an Instagram rant, saying: “We all agree — it was the worst halftime show ever. It’s 250 years that we’re celebrating right now in the United States, and I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish.” Zarin explained, adding the performance was “inappropriate” and citing Bad Bunny grabbing his crotch in front of kids — saying,  “and he doesn’t have to be grabbing himself every five seconds: Is he so insecure?” Zarin, who said she doesn’t speak Spanish, said his performance “looked like a political statement, because there were literally no white people in the entire thing” as she made a sweeping arm gesture that excluded Lady Gaga (among others). She would go on to delete the post as backlash flew in.

This is not the first time a RHONY OG has come under fire for microaggressions or racially insensitive statements. Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer have also been criticized and  punished by the network for similar issues, most recently after the first Black full-time cast member, Eboni K. Williams, accused Singer of racially charged comments and complained to HR, which resulted in the reunion special being canceled and a full recast.

Chris Brown Turns IG Comments Off After Being Slammed For Shading Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance
Chris Brown appears to be tuning out the noise. The R&B singer recently turned off comments on his Instagram after facing heavy backlash over a message he shared following #BadBunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show. The Puerto Rican superstar delivered a widely watched performance that celebrated his culture and promoted unity. Shortly after the show, Chris posted a message to his IG Story that many viewed as shady, writing, “I Think It’s Safe To Say…They Need Me.” The post quickly sparked backlash.

Critics flocked to X and CB’s own Instagram comment section to push back on what they saw as his suggestion that the NFL or #SuperBowl should have featured him instead. One person wrote, “How you hating from OUTSIDE the club, you can’t even get in?! AHAHAHAHAH LETS GO,” while another referenced his past controversies, asking, “Why would we need an abuser?”

R. Kelly Accuser Says She Felt ‘Terrified’ and ‘Exposed’ by Dave Chappelle’s ‘Piss on You’ Sketch

Reshona Landfair, the R. Kelly survivor who was in the singer’s infamous sex tape, has addressed the 2003 Dave Chappelle skit that parodied the scandal.
This month, Landfair revealed her identity after being known as Jane Doe in R. Kelly’s child pornography trial in the 2000s. In the time that Landfair was filmed in the tape being urinated on by the disgraced R&B vocalist, she was fourteen years old. The woman, formerly a member of child R&B group 4 the Cause, is currently promoting her debut memoir, Who’s Watching Shorty?, about her past relationship with Kelly, his acquittal in the 2000s trial, and testifying in the singer’s 2022 trial on child pornography and enticement.

Landfair, who’s now 41, was a recent guest on an episode of The Joy Reid Show, where she recounted her humiliation upon seeing the tape being spoofed in a 2003 episode of Chappelle’s Show. In the episode, Chappelle parodied R. Kelly while performing track, “Piss On You,” with visual references to urolagnia.

“I felt terrified. I felt very embarrassed and very confused because something that was so vulnerable for me was humorous and a mockery to the world and it really just exposed me and made me feel humiliated,” Landfair told Reid about her reaction to Chappelle’s skit.
Reid added that she was “quite sure” that Chappelle didn’t intend to “attack” Landfair with his skit. Landfair also shared that she felt “pretty empty inside,” “very ashamed,” and “really scared” upon hearing that the tape leaked.

“For so long this was a huge secret and I had been groomed to never admit this, never make it to be true about us. So I was scared more than anything,” she continued.
In her book, Landfair said that Chappelle’s skit further traumatized her by “insult to injury,” per WBEZ Chicago. The woman claimed to have been introduced to Kelly by her aunt, vocalist Sparkle, who allegedly allowed Kelly to groom Landfair. Sparkle has repeatedly denied her niece’s claims on social media.

“Enough is enough,” Sparkle said in a recent Instagram reel. “I’ve endured not being believed before, so my niece’s false statements don’t bother me as much as her mindset and willingness to tell the lies.”

Mike Epps Apologizes to Nicki Minaj After Controversial Joke About Trump

*Comedian Mike Epps has apologized to Nicki Minaj following a controversial performance during his Louisville, Kentucky stop on the We Them Ones Tour.
The jokes, which referenced Minaj’s political support for former President Donald Trump, went viral and sparked mixed reactions from fans. Epps suggested that Minaj was being “trained on by Donald Trump and them” and poked fun at her claim of holding a “gold card” visa, implying it offered residency rights. At one point, he also called out a fan in the audience, saying, “Shut up, btch, fck you and Nicki Minaj.”

Minaj has been openly supportive of Trump since last November, praising him over international issues and attending events such as Turning Point USA’s America Fest. She later attended a Trump Accounts summit, held hands with Trump, and called herself his “No. 1 fan.” She also referenced receiving a “gold card” from Trump, which White House officials confirmed is a symbolic memento rather than an actual visa or residency document.

In a new clip shared online, Epps admitted that he crossed a line and apologized to Minaj and her family. He acknowledged that alcohol impaired his judgment and said he should have exercised more care while performing.

Kirk Franklin Urges Church to Speak Up on ICE Enforcement: ‘Jesus’ Momma and Daddy Were Immigrants’

*Gospel artist Kirk Franklin is calling on the church to break its silence on immigration enforcement. He recently addressed concerns about increased ICE activity and deportations across the country. Franklin said Christian leaders should be more vocal during moments of human suffering.

His comments came during multiple interviews, including a conversation with Baller Alert on the 2026 Grammys red carpet. Franklin stressed that faith should guide public compassion. He argued that silence contradicts Christian responsibility.
Franklin pointed to the Bible to explain his position on immigration. He referenced Mary and Joseph fleeing to Egypt with Jesus to escape persecution. Franklin said this story should influence how believers view immigrants today.

“I think that we should be very intentional about being very vocal about, first of all, Jesus’ momma and daddy were immigrants,” Franklin said.
He emphasized that Jesus’ family sought safety in another land. For Franklin, that history makes compassion nonnegotiable. He believes Christians should respond with empathy rather than fear.

“We need to get in the streets and to be able to save and love as many people as we can. And when I say ‘save,’ I’m not talking about just their souls. I’m talking about their lives.”
Kirk Franklin said the church must be more intentional and outspoken. He criticized what he described as silence from Christian leaders and gospel figures. Franklin warned that quiet faith can enable harm.

He encouraged churches to focus on practical care. That includes feeding people, protecting families, and supporting vulnerable communities. Franklin said action matters when government systems fall short.
Franklin’s comments arrive amid heightened ICE operations in early 2026. Deportations and enforcement efforts have intensified nationwide. These actions have renewed debate over immigration policy and morality.

Faith leaders across denominations are divided on how to respond. Some urge activism and public witness. Others prefer prayer and private ministry over protest.
Many supporters praised Kirk Franklin for speaking boldly. Fans and faith leaders applauded his biblical framing of compassion. Progressive Black church communities especially welcomed his words.

Online reactions described his stance as timely and courageous. Supporters said Franklin voiced concerns others avoid. Several noted his long history of addressing social issues through faith.
Not everyone agreed with Kirk Franklin’s position on ICE. Critics argued the church should avoid political activism. Some stressed obedience to laws and government authority.

Others questioned applying ancient scripture to modern immigration policy. Debates erupted over legal versus undocumented immigration. These disagreements reflect deeper divides within Christian communities.
This is not the first time Kirk Franklin has addressed social concerns. Throughout his career, he has spoken on faith, accountability, and justice. His music and interviews often challenge comfort and complacency.

Franklin’s stance continues that tradition. He believes faith should engage real-world issues. For him, compassion is a public responsibility.
The reaction to Kirk Franklin’s ICE comments shows how divided the church remains. Immigration sits at the intersection of faith, law, and humanity. His words force difficult conversations many avoid.
As enforcement increases, churches face choices about silence or action. Franklin’s message urges believers to respond with care. The debate highlights how faith shapes public life.

Britney Spears Quietly Sold Her Entire Music Catalog in Multi-Million Dollar Deal
Another major pop catalog has officially changed ownership. Britney Spears has reportedly signed off on a deal that hands over her music catalog rights, marking a significant business move in her post-conservatorship chapter.
Paperwork reviewed by TMZ shows the agreement was finalized on December 30, with Spears transferring her ownership stake to music publisher Primary Wave. The financial details were not disclosed publicly. However, sources familiar with the deal described it as a “landmark deal,” placing it in the same conversation as the estimated $200 million catalog sale completed by Justin Bieber in 2023.

Those close to Spears say she feels good about the decision. Since finalizing the sale, she has reportedly been focused on personal time and reconnecting with her children.
The catalog reportedly includes records that defined multiple eras of pop music. Early-career hits like 1999’s “Baby One More Time” and “(You Drive Me) Crazy” are said to be part of the deal, along with later singles such as “I’m a Slave 4 U,” “Gimme More,” “Piece of Me,” and “Hold It Against Me,” among other classics.

Primary Wave has not publicly commented on the acquisition. Complex has reached out for confirmation, and updates may follow.
Spears now joins a growing list of artists who have chosen to sell their catalogs rather than rely solely on long-term royalty payments. That list includes Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Neil Young, Shakira, Sting, Phil Collins, and Stevie Nicks.
