#RHOA: Porsha Williams Addresses Rumors She's Engaged to Patrice "Sway" McKinney
Traitors season four star Porsha Wiliams and her girlfriend Patrice "Sway" McKinney set the record straight after rumors began to circulate that they had gotten engaged.
But no, an engagement ring has not yet entered the mix. But after images circulated that look as though someone had in fact put a ring on it, Sway swiftly clarified her relationship with the Real Housewives of Atlanta star.

“I am not engaged,” Sway wrote on her Feb. 2 Instagram Story alongside a laughing emoji. “Like really, does that pic look like me? Smh it’s clearly A.I. Lawd!”
And in addition to slamming “low budget blogs” she claims make up “completely fake” stories, Sway cautioned, “Don’t believe everything you see people.”

She punctuated the note—which Porsha reposted to her own Story—with an eye roll emoji.
Sway’s message comes just over two months after Porsha debuted the pair’s romance on social media in a series of sweet photos. In one image, Sway wrapped her arms around Porsha in front of a Christmas tree, while the salon owner playfully grabbed the reality star’s butt in another.

“Happiest Birthday @sway_thepro,” Porsha—who filed to divorce husband Simon Guobadia in February 2024—captioned the Nov. 28 post. “Hope this year continues to bring you everything you want and more!”
Before hard launching her relationship on social media, the Traitors season four star had only alluded to the new romances she’d had enter her life since her split with Simon.
"The people who I’m talking to now, it’s just two," she told fans one month earlier during an appearance at CultureCon. "I narrowed it down to two, and he is nice and she is nice."

The 44-year-old—who is mom to 6-year-old daughter Pilar with ex Dennis McKinley—also shared insight into her dating mindset following her divorce.
"I really just wanted to make sure that these were normal people,” she explained. “What I talked to my therapist the other day was, I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists and guess what narcissists do? They love bomb you. They do everything, they look perfect. They mirror you, and these people are not."

And while some fans may have been surprised to learn Porsha was dating a woman, she had previously detailed having trouble being able to “connect with other men.”
"When you go through a bad enough breakup, you're like, 'I don't like nobody,'" Porsha told People in June. "I was sitting there, I was like, 'Do I like women enough? Can I get with a woman? Who can come in and fill this void?'”

Thankfully, Porsha now has Sway in her life.

#MusicNews: MΓ½a Announces 10th Album ‘Retrospect’

A new MΓ½a album is on the way. The Grammy-winning singer has announced Retrospect, her first full-length project in eight years.
The album is set to arrive this spring via her independent label Planet 9, in partnership with Virgin Music.
Regarding her 10th album, MΓ½a said, “Music wasn’t just a part of my life; it was the heartbeat of my home, the foundation of my joy. This album is a celebration of that and the kind of funk that never fades. It’s a bridge between the past and the future, honoring the greats, my inspirations, while forging something new.”

MΓ½a first announced the news on the SHERRI show on Monday morning (Feb. 2). During her sit-down, she discussed the album’s inspiration and confirmed it will feature appearances from rappers 21 Savage and Joyner Lucas.
“It’s rooted in my roots — the love of music, soul music,” MΓ½a told host Sherri Shepherd. “My inspirations: Teena Marie, Prince, Rick James, Stevie Wonder… The Gap Band, SOS Band, all of those influences and more. We’re taking it to the block party. We’re taking it to the basement. We’re taking it to the skating rinks. I love joy, and that’s what we’re going to be celebrating on this album.”

Retrospect will include the latest single, “ASAP,” which dropped Jan. 30. “This is for my core R&B fans who love feel-good music, with meaningful lyrics that hit the soul,” MΓ½a explained. “‘ASAP’ highlights one reaching a crossroad and choosing clarity by being honest about your wants and needs in times of uncertainty, without fear or hesitation.”

Retrospect is the follow-up to 2018’s T.K.O. (The Knock Out), which included standouts such as “Damage” and “You Got Me.”

#HipHopNews: T.I. Confirms ‘Kill The King’ Is His Final Album Before Retiring
T.I. is calling it a rap career, allegedly. During an interview at the 2026 Grammy Awards, the “Bring Em Out” artist revealed that his next album would be his last.
Recently, Tip dropped “LET 'EM KNOW,” a Pharrell-produced track that is the lead single from his forthcoming new album, Kill The King (first announced back in 2021). While speaking to Entertainment Tonight on Sunday (Feb. 1), the Atlanta rapper again relayed that he’d be hanging up his crown after its release.

“It's a blessing, man. ‘LET ‘EM KNOW,’ produced by Pharrell. My first single off of my final album. I'm gonna be done. They should know it,” T.I. said. “I've said it before. It's time.”

Indeed, T.I. has always hinted in his music about having ambitions beyond making records. Tip’s last release was 2020’s The L.I.B.R.A., his eleventh studio album. In October 2024, he announced that he was retiring from performing. At the time, his last show, as a rapper, was at 96.1 The Beat's Jingle Ball holiday concert in Atlanta. “I appreciate y’all for offering me my last working gig because I do not need the money anymore, and I will not be performing,” he told the station. “I don’t want to do it no more. I don’t want people to pay me to hop around and sweat for their entertainment anymore.”

Probably the most notable of T.I.’s side hustles is trying his hand at stand-up comedy. His debut comedy special, Cheaper Than Therapy, was released in December 2025 through his Tip Ain’t Funny website. Despite his on-again, off-again retirement, the ever-confident ATL native believes he has plenty more to share with the world and at home.

"I think I have many gifts that God has given me that I can spend more time and attention on and spend more time at home with my family and my grandchildren,” Tip told ET.
Tip and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, have a total of seven children between them, three of which (King, Major and Heiress) are born to the couple together. They now have grandchildren via Zonnique, T.I.’s firstborn daughter, and their son King.

At the moment, there is no release date for Kill The King.

Legendary bassist dead at 75: ‘Rest in eternal peace and funk’
Billy Bass, the founding Parliament-Funkadelic bassist, died Saturday night at the age of 75.
P-Funk bandleader George Clinton’s Facebook page confirmed the news over the weekend.
“We have now received official confirmation,” the page announced on Jan. 31. “Rest in eternal peace and funk.”

The comment was made on a Facebook post, which erroneously reported Bass’s death in late January.
Earlier this month, Clinton noted that the group was keeping Bass "in our thoughts and in our hearts," without mentioning any specifics.
Bass, whose real name was William Nelson, worked for Clinton at a barbershop. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Bass was recruited to back his boss’s vocal group, then known as the Parliaments.

Clinton, per a 2014 autobiography, recalled how Bass helped him write the band’s first big hit single, 1967’s “(I Wanna) Testify.”
“It comes from an afternoon in the barbershop with the other guys, shooting the shit, and Billy Bass Nelson banging on the guitar,” Clinton explained.
“He was just strumming simple chords, and I was singing a lyric that had been stuck in my head for a while: ‘I just want to testify what your love has done for me.’ Billy and I sang that and let the words settle around us.

“The more we played this new song, the more I knew it would work, not only on the radio but also live. It was so infectious, and even there in the barbershop I could tell that there were so many turnarounds you could do once you got to vamping.”

NBC Ramps Up Security Around Today Show Hosts After Savannah Guthrie’s Mom ‘Dragged’ from Home

Savannah Guthrie’s mother Nancy Guthrie was abducted from her bed and “dragged” from her home near Tucson, Arizona, police say.
Nancy, 84, was last seen at her home in the Catalina Foothills around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 31.
A rep for the Pima County Sheriff’s Office says Nancy is believed to have been abducted from her $1 million home in the upscale neighborhood. The rep said investigators are looking at registered sex offenders in the area.

Police are combing through video footage from nearby homes, businesses and traffic cameras.
Sources tell Naughty But Nice that security has been ramped up around Savannah’s family, and multiple Today show hosts.
“This is not routine,” one senior network insider tells Naughty But Nice. “NBC security has been in active talks with law enforcement all day. This is being treated with extreme caution.”

Additional private security guards have been quietly put in place at studios, residences, and during travel — not just for Savannah, but for other on-air talent as well.
The sheriff’s office is communicating with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which investigates kidnapping and missing persons cases.
Customs and Border agents are also involved in the case, TMZ reports.

Savannah is set to drop out of hosting the start of the 2026 Winter Olympics on Friday, February 6.

Diddy Accuser Lil Rod Jones Planning to Write a Book

Last year former Bad Boy Entertainment music producer, Rodney 'Lil Rod' Jones', breach of contract and sixual harassment lawsuit against Bad Boy CEO, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, took a huge hit after the majority of his claims were dismissed

Lil Rod insists the fight is not over and he's planning to write a book...
Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones said the public should be "satisfied" that Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is finally behind bars, calling the rapper’s current incarceration long-overdue.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror US during the 2026 Grammy Awards ASCAP brunch on January 30, Jones addressed the ongoing legal battles stemming from his $30 million lawsuit against Combs, originally filed in February 2024. Although several of Jones' claims were dismissed last year, it has been claimed that some key allegations remain in court.
"The fight is still on," Jones said. "There are still charges pending against him, and some of those charges we do plan on bringing back. Right now the case is in discovery. You can Google and search around."
When asked whether Diddy's four-year sentence seemed light, Jones said the conviction itself was a step forward in the right direction.
"It’s a start," he said. "He's escaped a lot for many decades and this is the first time he's actually sat behind bars and answered to anything. So I think we all should be at least a little satisfied with that for the moment." Jones confirmed his prior connection to Diddy was strictly musical.
Jones said his own focus has now shifted to working on new projects besides music.
"My book is getting ready to release real soon, in the first quarter," he said. "And my album, also a documentary, and I have a few movie scores that I’m working on presently. You can expect to see a lot in the next three to six months."

Patrick Mahomes Sr. Jailed for Allegedly Drinking While Wearing Ankle Monitor, Violating Probation
Patrick Mahomes Sr. is back in jail for violating his probation after allegedly drinking alcohol.
Mahomes Sr. was booked into the Smith County Jail in Texas on Feb. 3 for the violation. TMZ claims that, according to the District Attorney, he had a high alcohol reading on an alcohol ankle monitor on New Year’s day.

His probation report allegedly states that urine samples provided on Jan. 5 and Jan. 9 were negative for alcohol.
Mahomes Sr. has been arrested at least three times for driving while intoxicated. His most recent arrest happened days before the 2024 Super Bowl over the years. In body footage of the arrest, he can be heard attempting to get out of trouble by using his son’s name.

Months later, Mahomes Sr. entered a guilty plea and faced up to 10 years in prison, along with a fine of up to $10,000. He ultimately received five years of probation.
In an episode of ESPN’s docuseries The Kingdom, Mahomes Sr. spoke about his 2024 DWI arrest, calling it the “most embarrassing thing I’ve ever been through in my life” when his son had to address the arrest in interviews.

With his arrest, Mahomes Sr. now faces up to 10 years in prison, which can include community service, Alcohol Anonymous classes, and being enrolled in the repeat DWI offender program.

Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Foster Shown Being Arrested in Body Cam Footage

Tameka Foster, the ex-wife of R&B vocalist Usher, was seen being arrested for failure to appear in court in newly surfaced body cam footage.
According to TMZ, Foster, who shares two teenage sons with Usher, was booked one year after getting a ticket for driving without car insurance. Foster then purchased insurance for the vehicle, but didn’t show up in court to present proof to a judge.

This led to a warrant being issued against the former Bold & Bougie star, and upon a return flight to Georgia from St. Barths, she was arrested by Brookhaven Police on January 5.

The body cam video shows a police officer allowing the designer and celebrity stylist to make a phone call and apologizing if she felt as though she was treated “unfair.”
“I mean, if I were acting belligerent or something, I’d understand,” Foster said about the officer having cuffs on hand.
Foster also joked with the officer, who offered to unlock her phone with a passcode and swore that he wasn’t trying to snoop. The designer also called her mother before trying to rectify the payment with the officer.

“This is the craziest out-of-body shit I’ve ever experienced,” Foster said. “The sad part is, I got pulled over for nothing. I don’t even have a speeding ticket.”
Foster also shared that it has been four days since her 55th birthday and pleaded with the officer not to tell anyone about the arrest.
Foster and Usher were married from 2007 to 2009 and share sons Usher “Cinco” Raymond V, 18, and Naviyd Ely, 17.

Shaboozey Addresses Backlash and Explains His “Immigrants” Remarks in Grammy Acceptance Speech
What was meant to be a celebration turned into a conversation, and Shaboozey is now making sure his message is fully understood.
On Tuesday, February 3, the artist released a public statement addressing reactions to his acceptance speech at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Over the weekend, Shaboozey won Best Country Duo or Group Performance for “Amen,” his collaboration with Jelly Roll, making history in the process.

“First and foremost, I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has supported and celebrated my journey as an artist. I also want to acknowledge the conversation surrounding my acceptance speech,” he wrote.

“To be clear, I know and believe that we — Black people, have also built this country. My words were never intended to dismiss that truth,” Shaboozey continued. “I am both a Black man and the son of Nigerian immigrants and in the overwhelming moment of winning my first Grammy my focus was on honoring the sacrifices my parents made by coming to this country to give me and my siblings opportunities they never had.”

He also emphasized the historical weight of the win.
“At the same time, winning this award on the first day of Black History Month and becoming the first Black man to win Best Country Duo is Black history,” he said. “It stands on the foundation laid by generations of Black people who fought, sacrificed, and succeeded long before me. This moment belongs to all of us.”

During his original speech, Shaboozey thanked God, his mother, and immigrant families, saying, “The last thing I want to say, immigrants built this country. Literally. Actually.”

He ended his statement with a clear intention moving forward. “My entire career has been rooted in lifting people up, honoring where we come from, and expanding what’s possible… I intend to continue doing that work for the rest of my life.”
