#MAGFAB: ELLE’s 2024 Women in Hollywood Issue: Danielle Deadwyler
History Is Speaking Through Danielle Deadwyler. The Piano Lesson star is highlighting Black stories through her films.
On her upcoming role in The Piano Lesson, which will hit Netflix on November 22, Deadwyler plays Berniece, a mother trying to stay afloat after the death of her husband and warring with her brother over what to do with a treasured family piano: “August’s work has been a part of my life since I was young,” says Deadwyler, who began her career in Atlanta’s theater scene. “It has defined my understanding of Black culture, Black family, and Black community. It’s in my theater DNA.” Deadwyler has stayed close to her Southern roots, living in Georgia with her teenage son instead of moving to Hollywood. “My family is most important,” she says. “The art will spring from me whether I’m in a certain place or not. I’ve got homework to check and chicken to cook. Ain’t nobody got time for that other stuff.”

On the highs and lows of being a woman in Hollywood: “Being a woman in the industry is the same as being a woman in the world. You have all kinds of hoops and navigations to move through, and inequities. Black women are not as present onscreen as people would presume; the numbers and the data reveal that over time. We’re constantly striving for access and support. We have a crisis of leadership these days. But I think that we’re incessantly making ourselves stand firmly in the spaces that we’re occupying and learning how to advocate for ourselves in a real way.”

On holding her own in a cast full of men while filming The Piano Lesson: It was the greatest challenge of my life. [Laughs] It was beautiful. They were so loving, and the love was expressed in the deep, serious work that we were all endeavoring in. Malcolm [Washington] enabled everybody to do what they do. There was so much confidence instilled in us by just allowing us to be, and we all have a reverence for August’s work.

On staying engaged: “If you’re not fresh and if you don’t have new eyes every time, then what are you doing? Sam Jackson is 75 and still doing it. He knew everybody’s lines [on set]. If that ain’t my energy, then I need to go back home. I feel anew every time I get the chance to do anything.”

On her most challenging role, on or offscreen: “Motherhood. I’m always trying to figure it out. We’re thinking or overthinking and wanting to do things right. That’s what’s happening to Berniece in The Piano Lesson. How do I be a full self when I’m still weighted by things that are unaddressed? What will become of my legacy and my child? What will life be like in all of this chaos? So that’s the richest role, my biggest and most beautiful responsibility.”

#RHOA, #TWIRL: Kenya Moore Regrets Exposing RHOA Co-Star Brittany Eady
Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore has opened up about her controversial exit from the Bravo series. During a candid interview on the Tamron Hall Show, Moore addressed the incident involving her former co-star, Brittany Eady, and expressed regret over her actions.

A Heated Exchange Between Kenya Moore and Castmate
Moore explained that tensions with Eady escalated during filming for Season 16. “New cast members sometimes come in trying to make a name for themselves,” Moore shared. “This young lady was poking the bear, and things turned dark toward me.” According to Moore, the conflict intensified when Eady allegedly removed her microphone and made verbal threats.

“I felt threatened,” Moore said. “I’m a single mom with a beautiful daughter, and I take any threats against me or my safety seriously.” Despite raising concerns with producers, Moore claimed her feelings were dismissed. “I didn’t feel protected,” she stated. “I was made to feel like a ‘Black Karen.’”

In response to the perceived lack of support, Moore admitted she took matters into her own hands. She revealed finding explicit images online that were allegedly linked to Eady and exposing them during a cast event. “I believed producers would blur the images in the final cut, but I see now that I took it too far,” she said.
Reflecting on her actions, Moore expressed remorse. “If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t have escalated the situation,” she confessed. “The photos were distasteful, and I regret elevating the conflict.” Fighting back tears, Moore emphasized her focus on protecting her daughter. “I’ve never been in a situation like this as a mother, and I made a poor decision.”

Bravo, in a statement, confirmed they investigated the incident, ultimately leading to Moore’s exit. “We take allegations of policy violations seriously and took appropriate action,” the network said.
Despite the controversy, Moore hinted at a possible future with Bravo, maintaining a close relationship with executive producer Andy Cohen. “He’s been a great support system,” Moore revealed. “I’m still under contract and could pop up at the reunion.”

#HipHopNews: The Feds Claim Diddy Is Breaking Jail Rules To Sneak Phone Calls & Influence The Jury Pool,
Diddy has been placing secret phone calls, intimidating witnesses, and planning a public relations strategy meant to taint the jury pool in his upcoming trial, all from inside a federal jail, argued prosecutors in a new memo.
The 30-page memo was filed on Friday (November 15) in response to Diddy’s latest attempt to be granted bail. (There is a hearing on the matter scheduled for next Friday, November 22). The document claims that since Diddy has been incarcerated, he has used a variety of means to evade Bureau of Prisons monitoring of his communications, in violation of jail rules, so that he could make calls that evade surveillance and speak to people he wasn’t authorized to reach out to.

His methods, the government claims, included “using PAC [phone access code] numbers belonging to other inmates to make calls; using three-way calls to contact other individuals, including individuals who are not on his approved contact list; and using an unauthorized third-party communication system to send messages to numerous individuals, including unauthorized contacts.”
Part of the reason for this, the memo continues, was so that Diddy could plan a public relations strategy in order to influence the jury pool....
“[T]he defendant is explicit about his intention to use public statements to alter public perception,” the memo reads. It points in particular to a “social media campaign” around Diddy’s birthday, — citing this post in particular — which the memo says the mogul “enlisted family members to plan and execute” at his “carefully curated direction.”

“The defendant (from within the [jail]) then monitored the analytics—i.e., audience engagement—and explicitly discussed with his family how to ensure that the video had his desired effect on potential jury members in this case,” it continues.
The document also makes mention of Diddy’s alleged “relentless efforts to contact potential witnesses, including victims of his abuse who could provide powerful testimony against him… [T]he defendant’s goal is to blackmail victims and witnesses either into silence or providing testimony helpful to his defense.”

Federal prosecutors aren’t the only ones with negative things to say about Diddy. Shyne recently admitted that he once looked at Diddy as the devil during their strained relationship following the 1999 shooting that he ultimately went to prison for.
The rapper-turned-politician is making his rounds to promote his new Hulu documentary The Honorable Shyne ahead of its premiere on November 18. Appearing on The Stephen A. Smith Show on Thursday (November 14), Shyne opened up about his previous thoughts on Diddy and denied the long-standing rumor he was paid off to take the fall.

“I’ve always maintained in every interview I did until recently when I healed and I moved on and I forgave, but for years I was saying what a creep I thought he was and how he destroyed my life and at one point, I thought he was the devil,” he said. “But because of the power of Diddy which is so loud a far as a pop culture icon, nobody listened. And so I moved on! And I pivoted my life to healing, to forgiveness and to taking accountability for what I can control.”

Jake Paul Defeats Mike Tyson By Unanimous Decision

Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson in 8 rounds by a unanimous decision. Netflix had its first live boxing event on Friday night (Nov. 15) with a card headlined by the Jake Paul, 27, and Mike Tyson, 58—the widest age disparity in sanctioned boxing history. And the generation divide wasn’t the only stark distinction between the two men.

Jake Paul came out to to the ring to Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight,” riding in a customized low-rider with his brother Logan Paul. The entrance was jam-packed with thinly veiled jabs at Tyson, with the song referencing the boxer’s appearance in The Hangover, and even a bird, referencing the “Now Kith” meme. Tyson, however, walked out to the ring with pure intention of throwing down and nothing more. And all the built-up tension was released as the two combatants entered the ring for the highly-anticipated showdown.

While both Tyson and Paul promised to knock the other boxer out before the 5th round, the match surprisingly went for the entire eight rounds. Tyson came out swinging for the first two rounds but Father Time quickly got Iron Mike together, as the icon began to slow down with each subsequent round. Paul kept to a moderate pace throughout the whole match.

Jake Paul’s even-keeled strategy allowed him to drastically out-punch Tyson throughout the match. By round four, Tyson’s legs looked tired and shaky, which were tell-tale signs of exhaustion for a boxer.
As the fight ended in round 8, Jake Paul began bowing to Mike Tyson out of respect for “being an all-time great in this sport” and for “all that he’s done to allow us to be here.” Tyson kept his guard up but gave Paul some dap as he realized the fight was over. In what played out like more of a sparring match than a headlined main attraction, judges declared that Paul was the winner in a unanimous decision.

Kiyan Anthony, Carmelo Anthony’s Son, Commits To Syracuse University
Kiyan Anthony, Carmelo Anthony‘s son, has made his college decision, and he’s committing to Syracuse University. The young basketball player appeared on Melo’s 7PM in Brooklyn podcast alongside his dad and his mother, La La Anthony, where he broke the news himself. Kiyan had been stewing over his final schools, consisting of USC and Auburn, but felt like ‘Cuse was where he needed to be.

Kiyan explained to everyone that what he loved the most about playing for ‘Cuse outside of the connection to his dad were marquee match-ups against universities like Duke and North Carolina. Anthony expressed that the national spotlight would benefit both him and the rest of his teammates who are looking to restore Syracuse to greatness and possible futures in the NBA. “All that played a part into why I chose Syracuse,” Kiyan said on the podcast.

“I’m overwhelmed,” La La said following her son’s announcement during the podcast. “I’m happy because he’s happy…It’s big shoes to fill, but at the same time, this is his moment, his lane and his time to create his own reality.”
Kiyan Anthony also talked to ESPN about his decision, saying, “Ultimately, it came down to my relationship with the staff. From day one, when they started recruiting me, they made me feel like it was family. My dad’s name on the facility is special, but I want to go in there and create my own name, and I’ve already done that through my dedication in the offseason, with early-morning practices, playing at camps, playing on the circuit.”

Kiy then spoke about the culture that Coach Adrian Autry is trying to establish with the Orangemen basketball unit. Anthony expressed to the outlet that Autry, who was named the head coach after the 2022-23 season, had already begun getting to work on the 2025 season.

“I’m going to do everything Coach Autry needs me to do,” Anthony added. “We talk a lot, especially late at night, about how we can make Syracuse basketball great. Off the court, Coach is super cool. You could go out with him on a Friday night. He’s still young and connects with all his players; he is very relatable.”

While Carmelo Anthony only played one season for the Orangemen, his impact on the university is undeniable.
During his lone 2003 season, Melo, a freshman, led the Orangemen to a storybook national championship. His performance was one for the ages, with the Brooklyn native being named both an All-American and the NCAA Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player. Kiyan understands the pressure, but wants to carve out his own page in the NCAA history books.

According to ESPN, Kiyan Anthony is currently ranked No. 36 in the out of 100 players and “is one of the best pure scorers in the country.”

Pharrell Williams Attempts to Defuse Animal Activist Confrontation with a Hug

Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director and one of the most stylish producers around, found himself at odds with animal rights activists.
As Williams was leaving the GQ Men of the Year party in Los Angeles on Thursday, November 14th, he was swarmed by fans hoping for selfies. However, protesters emerged, with one shouting, “What you’re doing is wrong! You know that what you’re doing is wrong!”

Spotting a man wearing a “Defend Animals” hat, Williams attempted to offer him a hug as a gesture of peace. Unfortunately for the Neptunes star, the demonstrator wasn’t having it.

“No, f*** you! You’re an animal abuser!” he yelled.
The group continued to hurl insults, calling Williams a “loser” and a “scumbag.” Rather than responding angrily, Williams calmly replied, “God bless you.”

The confrontation mirrored a similar moment at the Toronto Film Festival in September, where a PETA protester interrupted Pharrell’s Q&A for his biopic, “Piece by Piece.”
She shouted, “Stop torturing animals!” while waving a sign that read: “Pharrell: Stop Supporting Killing Animals for Fashion.”
“You’re right. You’re right. You’re right. God bless you,” Williams responded then, encouraging the crowd to applaud the protester. Security eventually escorted her out.

While many are praising his composure, PETA has not backed down. The organization posted footage from the Toronto protest, urging Pharrell to “switch to faux & vegan alternatives NOW,” and reminding him that animals suffer for the fashion he supports.

Malcolm X’s Daughters Sue CIA, FBI, NYPD For $100,000 Over Alleged Role In 1965 Assassination
Three of Malcolm X’s daughters, along with his estate, have filed a $100 million lawsuit against the CIA, FBI, NYPD, and other government agencies. They accuse the agencies of playing a role in the assassination of the civil rights leader in 1965.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in Manhattan federal court, claims these agencies were aware of the assassination plot and failed to intervene.
At a press conference, attorney Ben Crump, representing the family, called on federal and city officials to examine the allegations. He described the actions of past officials as “dastardly deeds” that need to be addressed.

According to AP, the NYPD and CIA have not yet responded to the lawsuit. The Department of Justice declined to comment. The outlet claims that the FBI also refused to comment, citing its standard practice regarding ongoing litigation.Malcolm X’s assassination led to the conviction of three men, but two were exonerated in 2021 after new investigations found issues with the evidence and suggested that crucial information had been suppressed.

The lawsuit further alleges that the prosecution team deliberately hid the government’s role in the assassination.

A Former Kanye West Employee Has Accused Him Of Going On ‘Antisemitic Tirades’ In A Hostile Work Environment Lawsuit
Kanye West (Ye) and Adidas’ lengthy courtroom battle is supposedly over. However, the “Carnival” musician is still facing a mountain of loaded lawsuits.
According to Rolling Stone, Kanye West along with his Yeezy brand and Donda Academy is being sued by a former staffer. In the documents obtained by the outlet, a supposed ex-employee, Murphy Aficionado, is accusing West of fostering a hostile work environment, discrimination, wrongful termination, labor code violations, and failure to pay wages.

Within the filing submitted to the Los Angeles County Superior Court by lawyers Carney R. Shegerian and William Reed, Aficionado claimed West went on “antisemitic tirades” on a “daily occurrence.”

The document transcribed one of the alleged encounters retold by Aficionado as: “The Jews are out to get me. They froze my bank account. The Jews got Kim [Kardashian] and my kids. The Jews convinced Kim [Kardashian]. She has Jewish masters.”
Aficionado continued, saying: “Ye’s antisemitic tirades and conspiracies were a daily occurrence. Often, these outbursts involved how Jews controlled the Kardashians. Other times, Ye recounted how Jews were going after him and his money.”

He also accused Kanye West of subjecting him to flashes of his wife Bianca Censori’s exposed body and a loud intimate moment between Censori and West in the middle of a meeting.
Kanye West has not issued a public response to this lawsuit.

Bluesky attracts millions as users leave Musk's X platform

Social media platform Bluesky is adding millions of users as people flee X after Donald Trump was elected U.S. President and as an upcoming change to the terms of service threatens to complicate legal challenges for the Elon Musk-owned platform.
Bluesky has gained about 2.5 million new users in the past week, raising its total users to more than 16 million, it said on Thursday. It is among a slew of apps looking to replace the platform formerly known as Twitter after Musk's takeover.

"We're seeing record-high activity levels across all different forms of engagement: likes, follows, new accounts, etc, and we're on track to add 1 million new users in one day alone," Bluesky said in a statement.

Several well-known organizations and personalities, including the nonprofit Center for Countering Digital Hate, British news publisher the Guardian and former CNN anchor Don Lemon have said they were leaving X due to concerns about the platform's content and the looming terms change.

X was called out by misinformation experts during the election for playing a central role in enabling the spread of false information about the critical battleground states.
On Nov. 6, as news broke that Musk ally Trump won the presidency, X attracted 46.5 million visits in the U.S. - more than any day in the past year and 38% higher than an average day in recent months, according to analytics firm SimilarWeb.

Bluesky's website, meanwhile, attracted around 1.2 million visitors on Nov.6, more than Meta Platforms-owned (META.O)
, opens new tab
Threads, which had around 950,000 visitors. But Threads app had more visitors than that of Bluesky.
"Outsized growth, particularly for Bluesky, may have been driven by a rise of controversial content or technical issues on competitor X," said Abraham Yousef, senior insights analyst at market intelligence firm Sensor Tower.
"The departure of popular accounts, media personalities, or organizations, may have led consumers to conclude that X is no longer their preferred platform, which could also be fueling growth on other platforms, particularly Bluesky and Threads."
TERMS CHANGE

The Bluesky surge comes ahead of a change in X's terms on Friday that requires all legal disputes related to the platform to be brought exclusively in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas or state courts in Tarrant County, Texas.
The Center for Countering Digital Hate said on Thursday the change could hinder legal challenges against the platform by steering future lawsuits toward judges Musk believes "will be on his side".

"Now, the billionaire will be able to bring lawsuits to friendly courts against whoever disagrees with him on his platform," said the nonprofit that has faulted Musk for letting hate speech spread on X.
X and Musk did not respond to requests for comment.
Still, Bluesky's user count is much smaller than rivals. Threads has about 252 million monthly active users on its mobile app, while X has about 317 million, according to Sensor Tower.
"X seems to be in a better position than it has in a while given the ability to represent the views of president-elect Trump," said D.A. Davidson & Co analyst Gil Luria.

"While there are other competing platforms, those may have a hard time catching up with X, since microblogging has significant network effects."

Turkish film festival canceled after Daniel Craig's new film 'Queer' got banned in the country
Luca Guadagnino's highly-anticipated new romantic drama Queer has been banned in Turkey, and an entire film festival has been canceled because of it.
Queer, which stars Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey as two American expatriates living in Mexico in the 1950s who have a profound connection and spark a steamy love affair, was set to screen at the 2024 Mubi Fest Istanbul on November 7. However, in a last-minute decision, the city governor has banned the film.

"Hours before the start of Mubi Fest Istanbul 2024, which took months to prepare and was sold out days ago, we regretted to learn that the screening of Queer, which was part of the festival program and which was also the opening film, has been banned," Mubi Turkey wrote in a statement.

"The decision states that the movie is banned because it contains provocative content that would endanger the peace of the society and that the ban would be implemented for security reasons," the statement continued. "We believe this ban is an intervention that restricts art and freedom of expression. Festivals are breathtaking spaces where art and cultural diversity are celebrated, bringing people together. This ban takes not just one movie away but also the meaning and purpose of the entire festival."

"In the name of protecting freedom of expression and artistic expression, we will continue to stand on this issue," the statement concludes.
Queer centers on a gay love story between two men, and features several scenes that involve gay sex and nudity.

Keith Haring & Betty White get the “forever” treatment with new stamps from The USPS
The United States Postal Service shared good news on Friday with an announcement they’ll be honoring two LGBTQ+ icons with stamps in 2025: Keith Haring and Betty White.
“This early glimpse into our 2025 stamp program demonstrates our commitment to providing a diverse range of subjects and designs for both philatelists and stamp enthusiasts,” said Lisa Bobb-Semple, Stamp Services director for USPS, where “diversity” will no doubt be under fire under the incoming administration.
Keith Haring shot to fame in the 1980s with his iconic, graffiti-inspired drawings that became an instantly recognizable visual language. He devoted much of his work to social activism centered on the HIV/AIDS epidemic; Haring died of AIDS-related complications 1990. He was just 31 years old.

The new “Love” stamp commemorates the artist with his now classic image, Untitled from 1985, depicting two figures holding up a heart. The stamp “celebrates the universal experience of love” with the “instantly recognizable” image, according to the Postal Service.

The service’s art director, Antonio Alcalá, called the drawing “ideal” pick for the Postal Service’s popular stamp program.
“The non-specificity of the figures allows a variety of people to see themselves in this stamp,” Alcalá said. “Partners getting married, celebrating an anniversary, siblings sending each other a heartfelt greeting, or even party planners setting a positive tone for their event.”

Betty White gets the “forever” treatment, as well — she’d lived nearly that long at her death just days shy of her 100th birthday in 2021.
Another “icon,” by the Postal Service’s description, White was a mainstay of television since her debut on local TV in Hollywood in the late 1940s. She was a popular guest on game shows before she revealed her comedy chops for a primetime audience on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, playing Sue Ann Nivens, the acerbic and sex-starved host of a local TV cooking show. She earned her gay bona fides as the lovable and clueless Rose Nyland on The Golden Girls.

White’s purple-hued portrait based on a 2010 photograph by Kwaku Alston captures the celebrity’s sly, “in on the joke” personality.
The actress and animal lover was decidedly non-political over her career, but did weigh in on marriage equality in 2010 with some “forever” advice for readers.
“I don’t care who anybody sleeps with,” White told Parade Magazine. “If a couple has been together all that time — and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones — I think it’s fine if they want to get married. I don’t know how people can get so anti-something. Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much.”

Adele Shows Off Engagement Ring Again During Las Vegas Residency
Adele showed off her giant engagement ring during her Las Vegas residency, which drew a boisterous response from fans.
On Friday night, Adele hit the stage at Caesar's Palace for her second to last residency weekend. Midway through a rendition of "I Drink Wine" when she sang, "I need some substance in my life, somethin' real / somethin' that feels true," the singer flashed a massive ring.

According to TMZ, Adele usually does this at all her shows during the residency, and fans get excited each time she does it. Adele announced in August that she was engaged to sports agent Rich Paul, whom she's been dating since early 2021.
Earlier this year, Adele revealed she wants to have a daughter with Paul. She made the announcement during one of her residency shows and explained why she wanted to have another child.

"Once I'm done with all of my obligations and all of my shows, I want to have a baby. And I want to have a girl because I've already got a boy," she said in the video. "I feel like she might be the person I love the most in the world, and I'll probably hate the most in the world as well... She's going to put me in my place all the time, isn't she?"
She continued, "With me as her mother and Rich as her father, my daughter's going to be a bossy little queen, isn't she?"

Monique Samuels Seemingly Accuses Carlos King of Manipulating Her into Joining “Love & Marriage: DC” by Playing the “Black Card”

Former “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Monique Samuels has stepped back into the spotlight to share unfiltered views on her interesting reality TV journey. From her departure from “RHOP” following a physical altercation with Candiace Dillard Bassett to her brief time spent on “Love & Marriage: DC,” Samuels is speaking candidly about what she learned and even issues with “LAMDC” production.
To give some context, after Samuels left “RHOP,” many fans hoped that she would return to the franchise. Instead, Monique decided to take her talents over to Carlos King’s “Love & Marriage: DC,” showcasing a more authentic side of herself. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. In a recent interview with Jay Hill, Samuels revealed she was not pleased with how she was portrayed on the show, calling it the “greatest nightmare but my greatest teacher.”

“Imagine you being on camera and having a conversation, and now something’s said in the conversation that pops you off. They not showing nothing about that; they just showing you pop off. When I tell you, it was like every single scene, I was yelling, and I was going off. And when I tell you the whole synopsis of the show was get to know the real, full me. Get to know the real me…and they got me like only had me yelling and acting crazy,” she explained.

Monique didn’t shy away from taking shots at an unnamed producer, presumably King, who told her the show was aimed at breaking stereotypes about Black families in reality TV.
“He approached me with support and came to me with some, ‘You know we Black. These white shows, they don’t show Black people in the light that they should be shown in. You know it can be natural drama. It doesn’t have to be this scripted drama,'” Monique recounted. “And it created a relationship of ‘Alright, let’s see what we can do together. Let’s work together.’ So, I believed him when he used the Black card. And he did me worse than the white folks. I was like, ‘He could have at least waited till the second season to trash me.’”

She further explained, “It was just like, ‘We got her. Dog her a** out.'” It was like my name was used to gain the audience and I felt like I got trashed on that show. They didn’t show any of my real moments where I gave more context to what was happening.”

On a mesmerizing night in the Mexico City Arena, which seats up to 20,000 passionate supporters, Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark emerged victorious in the 73rd edition of the Miss Universe competition. She becomes the first contestant from her country to win at the pageant contest.

The Danish beauty, who is also a staunch animal protection advocate and works in the diamond selling business, surpassed Miss Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina in the final showdown to claim the coveted crown. Miss Mexico Mariana Fernanda Beltran secured the third spot in this year's competition.
Miss Thailand Suchata Chuangsri and Miss Venezuela Ileana Marquez rounded out the top 5 candidates. They were given the same question, "This universe has inspired generations of women. What is your message to the ones watching you right now?"

Miss Denmark's winning answer: "No matter where you come from, no matter your past, you can always choose to turn it into your strengths. It will never define who you are. You just gotta keep fighting. I stand here today because I want to change, I want to make history, and that's what I'm doing tonight. So, never give up always, believe in yourself, in your dreams, and that is exactly what you're going to do."

Mexicans have a unique connection to Miss Universe, as this is the third time the country has played host to the event. The vibrant energy of Mexico City, known for its rich history and lively atmosphere, provided the perfect backdrop for this momentous occasion. This year's event saw several countries represented for the first time, including Belarus, Eritrea, Guinea, Macau, Maldives, Moldova, and Uzbekistan.

Skai Jackson's Baby Daddy Arrested After Police Confrontation
When Skai Jackson gives birth to her child, hopefully her baby daddy doesn't try to escape from his responsibilities like he did during a recent run-in with police. Deondre Burgin, who is revealed to be the father of the actress' child, was recently arrested following a police confrontation.
Deondre, who is a former inmate, was arrested in Cincinnati, Ohio on Wednesday afternoon, November 13. According to the arrest report obtained by TMZ, Cincinnati police officers tried to arrest Deondre on a juvenile parole violation warrant, but he ran off when confronted by cops and then fell, causing a small cut on his left cheek.

The encounter was caught on video, which saw officers wrestling Deondre to the ground. They put cuffs on him and pinned him down while waiting for backup to arrive. Law enforcement sources confirmed that Deondre was cited for misdemeanor obstruction of official business and has since been released.

Tasha K was the first to reveal Deondre's troubled past. The blogger claimed that he's already got three kids with three different women. She also posted the video of Deondre's encounter with police, during which he was reportedly nearly hit by a car.
Deondre also appeared to shade Skai after she confirmed her pregnancy. "On woop im salty i got this dumb a** Disney Chanel (sic) b***h pregnant I hate this h**," he wrote on Facebook.

Skai and her mother, however, defended him, claiming that his account was hacked. "His page was hacked! He never said this. End of story," the "Bunk'd" alum responded in the comments section. Her mother additionally insisted, "HE NEVER SAID THIS!!!! Stop being messy!!!"

Deondre was also slammed by social media users for taking aim at Cameron Boyce, Skai's co-star on "Jessie", in a video. He was apparently not happy to be compared to the actor.
Skai and her boyfriend previously made headlines after she was arrested for domestic battery stemming from an argument with her boyfriend in August. However, by September, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office dropped charges against the star due to insufficient evidence.
