Kelli Potter, formerly known as Kelli Ferrell, is facing a new legal challenge as creditors move to collect on a six-figure judgment against the Real Housewives of Atlanta star and her restaurant business, Nana's Chicken-N-Waffles.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, a judge entered a default judgment in favor of ARF Financial after neither Potter nor Nana's Chicken-N-Waffles LLC filed a response to the lawsuit. The judgment includes $217,370.21 in principal damages, $4,723.70 in attorney's fees, court costs, and post-judgment interest. The creditor has now issued subpoenas to multiple banks in an effort to determine whether Potter has accounts that can be seized to satisfy the debt.
A representative for Potter says the dispute stems from a business loan taken out during her marriage to ex-husband Mark Ferrell. "This matter stems from a business loan that [Kelli] and her ex-husband, Mr. Ferrell, obtained over five years ago, while married," the representative told TMZ.
The spokesperson added that Potter argued during the couple's divorce proceedings that Ferrell should be responsible for the debt, though he disputed that claim. "We are confident that this legal matter will be rightfully resolved, but as of now, [Kelli] hasn't been officially served," the representative added.
The financial dispute arrives during a period of expansion for Potter's restaurant brand. Earlier this year, she opened a second Nana's Chicken-N-Waffles location in Sandy Springs, Georgia, a milestone that has also been featured as part of her Season 16 storyline on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Potter stressed that her focus extends well beyond reality television.
"I'm super happy to open my second location," Potter said. "Although I'm on reality television, I actually have a brick-and-mortar business that I pour into daily. Seeing its expansion is the best thing ever."
She said the new location was designed with "more space, more menu options and more events" in mind, while also positioning the restaurant for larger corporate partnerships. Potter revealed Nana's Chicken-N-Waffles had already completed an activation with Disney and was pursuing additional collaborations with major brands.

Diddy has reportedly sold his Miami mansion for $55 miilion, which sits next door to the property that was raided by the feds in 2024.
On Tuesday (July 14), real estate site The Real Deal reported that the property at 1 Star Island Drive was purchased by JFStar LLC, a company based in Newport News, Va. The acquisition of the eight-bedroom, waterfront home was financed with an $18.5 million mortgage from San Diego-based Axos Bank, The Real Deal reports.
Diddy bought the home from Gloria and Emilio Estefan in 2021. According to records, Diddy still owns the adjacent property, 2 Star Island Drive, which was raided by agents for the Department of Homeland Security in March of 2024. The raid was part of building a case that led to Diddy's arrest six months later on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The Bad Boy Entertainment founder was found guilty of the latter in July of 2025 and is currently serving a 50-month sentence. He is scheduled to be released on Feb. 8, 2028. Last week, video surfaced of the incarcerated music exec on his daily walk at Fort Dix prison in New Jersey, where he is serving his sentence.

Williams claims his duties extended far beyond a traditional assistant role and included a list of highly specific expectations.
Among the reported requirements? Being able to roll blunts, keep pre-rolls stocked at all times, love dogs and maintain what was described in the documents as “pleasant personal hygiene.” Williams also alleged that the position required him to be available 24/7, keep his phone charged at all times and travel with Wayne whenever necessary.
The filing further claims assistants were expected to wake the rapper on schedule, handle errands and purchases, pack for trips and ensure the day-to-day operation of Wayne’s fast-paced lifestyle ran smoothly. According to the documents, assistants were also required to remain discreet about personal matters and sign non-disclosure agreements.

She also wrote that he "must be accompanied by a male assistant at all times to ensure his safety and to help with basic needs like using the restroom."
According to the filing, the deposition ultimately had to be canceled because Cosby's support person "was not available on the scheduled days."
The filing adds another twist to the high-profile lawsuit brought by Donna Motsinger, who accused Cosby of drugging and raping her in 1972 after inviting her to one of his comedy shows. Motsinger filed suit in 2023 under California's revival law for previously time-barred sexual assault claims, and in March, a Los Angeles jury sided with her, awarding $17.5 million in past non-economic damages, $1.75 million in future non-economic damages, and $40 million in punitive damages—a total judgment of $59.25 million.

A terrifying medical emergency has gripped the 90 Day Fiancé community after fan favorite Armando Rubio revealed his daughter, Hannah, was airlifted to an Arizona hospital while he raced against the clock to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. The TLC star made an urgent public plea for help securing an emergency travel visa before later confirming he was on his way.
Rubio's first message asked if anyone had connections at a Mexican embassy or consulate who could help expedite a medical emergency visa. As the situation intensified, he updated the request to include anyone with contacts at U.S. Customs and Border Protection along the Baja California border.

Mara Brock Akil Says She'll Need $50 Million Budget for 'Girlfriends' Movie
Mara Brock Akil, creator and showrunner of Girlfriends, is looking for a production studio to cough up $50 million for a movie adaptation of the hit sitcom.
The legendary screenwriter, who recently published her debut novel, The Revelation of Dionne Daphne, spoke about the budget for the potential Girlfriends film on the Thursday (July 2) episode of podcast Question Everything.
"I need the money that I need and if it’s not going to be there, I can’t keep knocking on every door," Akil said around the 40-minute mark of the video below. "I have to sort of move on. But when that money comes, or a new idea comes for a lesser amount, if I can’t do it right, why am I doing it?"
While Akil has the storyline to reunite Girlfriends characters Joan, Toni, Lynn and Maya, she wants to "do this right."
"And so right now I'm looking for $50 million to tell the story that I'd like to tell, set in Los Angeles, for the entire cast to come back," she continued. "They want to come back. They're open to it. But we all want the right value."

Brandy dons a platinum blonde hairdo while stepping out for the premiere of her new movie Descendants: Wicked Wonderland held at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Tuesday (July 14) in Los Angeles.
The 47-year-old singer and actress was joined by her daughter Sy’rai on the checkered carpet for the upcoming Disney movie.
Brandy is set to reprise her role as Queen Cinderella for the third time, following her turn as the iconic princess in the 1997 TV movie, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and returning to the character in Descendants: The Rise of Red in 2024.
Brandy was also seen posing on the carpet with her onscreen daughter, Malia Baker, who plays Chloe in the movie.

Madonna’s Club Confessions NYC Party: Star-Studded Guests
The “Bring Your Love” pop icon has been bringing her Club Confessions parties all around the world in the lead-up to the release of Confessions II earlier this month, including stops at The Abbey in West Hollywood and in Paris during Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
In a true full circle moment, Madonna brought the party to New York City two decades after appearing as a surprise guest DJ at a MisShapes party in October of 2005, where she debuted songs from Confessions on a Dancefloor alongside producer Stuart Price and DJ Junior Sanchez.
Just as she did over 20 years ago, Madonna teamed up with MisShapes, Junior Sanchez and Stuart to spin and sing along to tracks – this time mainly from her new companion album Confessions II, along with the first Confessions album and fan-favorites from her back catalog.
The party included sets from Honey Dijon, FCUKERS, Junior Sanchez and Sam-E, with Madonna eventually joining Stuart behind the DJ booth during his set.

Cardi went off on Chris in a social media barrage Tuesday … claiming he's changed his story about Stefon multiple times. She alleged his initial story did not include any claim of Stefon taking his penis out in front of him … but that ended up as a claim in his lawsuit.
She said she hated how she was defending Stefon, who she was currently beefing with. Cardi said she was upset because she didn't believe Chris' claims against her baby daddy ... but Chris told her to "take off the blinders."
Cardi alleged Chris was obsessed with Stefon.
Chris caught wind of the post and quickly responded in the comment section. He said, "I have too much respect for Bardi (and women in general) for me to [say] anything disparaging back to her, but mama please take off the blinders."
