#SUPERBOWLLIX:Super Bowl Matchup is Set: The Kansas City Chiefs Will Face Face The Philadelphia Eagles, AGAIN!

Patrick Mahomes earned a shot at history tonight as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills, 32-29, and will now face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on February 9.
The matchup marks the seventh time the Chiefs have been to the big game and the team’s third appearance in a row. What’s more, if they win, it would technically make the Patrick Mahomes-led team the first in league history to win three Super Bowls in a row. (Historical note: The Green Bay Packers won three consecutive championships between 1966 and 1968, but the first of those was an an NFL Championship, and so not technically a Super Bowl. The team went on to win Super Bowls I and II in 1967 and 1968.)

The Chiefs are now 12-0 this season in games decided by one score or less.
Philadelphia beat the Washington Commanders earlier today, 55-23, in the NFC Championship game. This year will mark the sixth time the Eagles have made the Super Bowl.

The Eagles faced the Chiefs in the Super Bowl two years ago and lost, 38-35. The Eagles’ only Super Bowl win came against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in 2018.
This year’s game is set for the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox. It’s the eighth time the venue has hosted the big game.

Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize-winner Kendrick Lamar is the headliner for the Super Bowl LIX Apple Music halftime show, presented by Roc Nation. He will be joined by SZA. Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty, Lauren Daigle and Ledisi will provide pregame entertainment.

#RHOP: Alum Nneka Ihim Announces Pregnancy, Lost One Twin in Utero
After a long, hard road, Real Housewives of Potomac alum Nneka Ihim is finally pregnant. Nneka had joined RHOP in Season 8 and took viewers with her on her journey to try and get pregnant. The attorney was very open about her struggles in conceiving and trying different options, such as IUI, to make it happen. Nneka has finally succeeded and got pregnant with twins. However, she had to make the sad announcement that she lost one of them in utero.

Nneka Ihim says there is “trauma within the celebration” of her pregnancy
Nneka was a one-season wonder on RHOP. She did not click with her co-star Wendy Osefo and got into a feud with her over a prayer shrine. Then things got worse when Nneka accused Wendy of wanting to “embarrass her on national television.”

Besides her drama with Wendy, Nneka’s other storyline was her struggle to get pregnant. She tried IUI to no avail. But after she left the show, Nneka was able to conceive twins after three treatments of IVF.
Page Six reported the details of Nneka’s pregnancy journey. Nneka said, “The first round of IUI, which I did on the show, did not work. And then I did a second round that also didn’t work.”
She continued, “And I never wanted to do IVF, because for some reason in my head, It just seemed very unnatural. All those hormones and drugs … I was very cautious of it. But my doctor really encouraged me to try it, and I’m so grateful she did.”

At her eight-week doctor’s appointment, she found out the devastating news. Nneka said, “We showed up for an appointment and one of the twins no longer had a heartbeat.”
Afterward, Nneka spent several days in bed. She said, “I wasn’t really eating, wasn’t drinking, wasn’t doing what I needed to do to care for the one that I still had. Because to me, it just felt like I wasn’t pregnant anymore.”
Still, Nneka is focusing on being positive. She said, “There’s trauma within the celebration … so we’re trying to be very optimistic here.” Nneka is now halfway through her pregnancy, and thankfully, her baby is “healthy and very strong.”

Real Housewives of Potomac continues Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.

Reginald VelJohnson Responds To Dave Chappelle’s Joke About Him Attending Diddy “Freak-Off” Party

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ current legal woes were just one of the many topics covered by Dave Chappelle during his Saturday Night Live monologue last weekend. One of the cracks referenced a rumor that circulated last year, placing actor Reginald VelJohnson at one of Combs’ “freak-off” parties, where alleged sexual assaults and sex trafficking took place while guests were under the influence of any number of drugs.

While VelJohnson denied the rumors to TMZ last year, he recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter to share his thoughts on Chappelle bringing them back to the forefront.
“That stuff that came out is so false, but I have to hear it every now and then,” VelJohnson shared of the Diddy rumors. “But Dave Chappelle made it funny, and I really appreciate that. That was really cool. He made it seem very civil.”
He went on, “It was kinda nice to see him talk about me. I just wish he was talking about something a little bit better than that stupid lie with Diddy. But he made it funny, and I appreciate that. It made me look good.”

Chappelle’s joke revolves around the premise that the comic was too “ugly” to be invited to Diddy’s “freak-off” parties, feigning shock when he heard that the Die Hard actor was rumored to have not only been invited, but intimate with Combs.
“I saw one thing on the internet, so I’m not sure that it’s true — probably doubt it’s true,” Chappelle shared onstage. “But I saw it, some guy who said he knew Puffy [and] was like, ‘Yeah, man, I was at the freak-off one time, and Puff was in there with Carl Winslow, the dad from Family Matters. He was smashing, and I was like, ‘Puff, what are you doing?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, feels good to make another man do your bidding.’

“And I was like, ‘Carl Winslow from Family Matters was there, and I wasn’t invited? It’s worse than I thought!’” Check it out below.
“I have no idea why they started that,” VelJohnson told THR of the rumor’s origin. “I don’t know why, and it will never go away. I never even met the man. I have no idea what they’re talking about. I just pay it no mind and keep on doing what I do. I have no idea why they put me connected with it.”

MLK Jr.’s Family Reacts To Donald Trump Declassifying Assassination File
Martin Luther King Jr.’s family has one request for Donald Trump, who has recently declassified the monumental figure’s FBI file.
On Thursday (Jan. 23), President Trump signed an executive order to release thousands of classified government documents, including the assassination of John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

When speaking to reporters during the signing, the 47th president of the United States remarked that “a lot of people have been waiting for this for years…decades. Everything will be revealed.”
Dr. King’s daughter, Bernice King, took to X/Twitter to release a statement regarding her father’s file being declassified. She hoped the King family could see the files before they were shared with the public.

“Today, our family has learned that President Trump has ordered the declassification of the remaining records pertaining to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and our father, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. For us, the assassination of our father is a deeply personal family loss that we have endured over the last 56 years,” the statement read. “We hope to be provided the opportunity to review the files as a family prior to its public release.”

The family also asserted that they were not taking any comments or interviews regarding the matter at this time.
A JFK and RFK family member offered their opinion on the matter as well, with Jack Kennedy Schlossberg blasting Trump for his executive order.
“JFK conspiracy theories—The truth is alot sadder than the myth — a tragedy that didn’t need to happen,” he typed on X/Twitter. “Not part of an inevitable grand scheme. Declassification is using JFK as a political prop, when he’s not here to punch back. There’s nothing heroic about it.”

Dr King was shot and killed in Memphis on a hotel balcony by a man named James Earl Ray in April 1968. Since then, the King family has continued fighting for the truth about what happened on that tragic day.
Over the years, conspiracy theorists have suggested that it was the FBI that got Dr. King killed. However, investigations conducted by the Department of Justice in 1977 and then in 1979 concluded that there “was no credible evidence to support” this theory.

Tabitha Brown responds to Target’s DEI program cuts

Target’s recent decision to scale back its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives has sent ripples through the retail industry, particularly affecting their partnership with influential entrepreneur and actress Tabitha Brown. The move has sparked discussions about the future of Black-owned businesses within major retail spaces and their continued visibility in the marketplace. As major retailers reassess their diversity programs, the implications extend far beyond individual partnerships, touching on broader questions of corporate responsibility and market representation.

Brown’s retail success story faces uncertainty
Brown, who has cultivated a significant following through her engaging personality and culinary expertise, established a successful collaboration with Target, featuring an extensive line of home goods and food products. Her collection resonated with consumers nationwide, exemplifying the positive outcomes of retail diversity initiatives. The partnership represented a milestone in retail diversity, demonstrating how inclusive business practices could create meaningful market opportunities and consumer connections.

The success of Brown’s product line highlighted the untapped potential in diverse retail partnerships. Her unique approach to lifestyle products and food items brought fresh perspectives to Target’s offerings, attracting both her established audience and new customers to the retail chain. This symbiotic relationship demonstrated the commercial viability of DEI-driven partnerships.
The retail giant’s decision to reduce support for programs specifically designed to elevate Black entrepreneurs’ products marks a significant departure from their previous commitment to diversity in retail. This strategic pivot affects numerous Black-owned brands, potentially impacting their shelf presence and market accessibility. The move raises questions about the long-term implications for retail diversity and inclusion efforts industry-wide.

Industry analysts suggest that such shifts in corporate strategy could have lasting effects on the retail landscape. The reduction in DEI initiatives might influence how other major retailers approach diversity partnerships, potentially creating a domino effect across the industry. This transformation in retail strategy occurs against a backdrop of changing consumer expectations and market dynamics.

Social media platforms have become forums for passionate discussions about the potential consequences of Target’s policy changes. Brown’s dedicated following has demonstrated strong support, expressing concerns about the possible removal of her products from store shelves. This community reaction highlights the broader impact of DEI initiatives on consumer loyalty and brand relationships.

The response from consumers reflects a growing awareness of corporate social responsibility and its role in purchasing decisions. Market research indicates that consumers increasingly consider a company’s commitment to diversity when making shopping choices. The potential restructuring of existing partnerships has prompted discussions about alternative retail channels and the evolution of consumer support for diverse brands.
The significance of DEI initiatives extends beyond individual partnerships, playing a crucial role in shaping an inclusive marketplace that serves diverse consumer needs. These programs have historically provided vital opportunities for marginalized entrepreneurs to reach broader audiences and establish sustainable business models within major retail environments.

The impact of DEI programs on market innovation and product diversity cannot be understated. These initiatives have led to the introduction of unique products and perspectives that might otherwise have remained unexplored. The potential scaling back of such programs raises concerns about future market diversity and innovation opportunities.
As the retail landscape continues to evolve, the focus shifts to how entrepreneurs like Brown will adapt to these changes. The situation highlights the need for sustainable approaches to maintaining diversity in retail spaces while ensuring business viability. The outcome of this transition period could set precedents for future retail-entrepreneur partnerships and diversity initiatives.

Market experts suggest that alternative partnership models may emerge, potentially leading to new opportunities for diverse entrepreneurs. The challenges faced by current retail partnerships might spark innovation in distribution channels and business relationships, ultimately reshaping how diverse brands reach their target markets.

#RIP DJ Unk, creator of ‘Walk It Out,’ dies at 43
Famed Atlanta deejay Anthony Leonard Platt, better known as DJ Unk, has passed away at the age of 43. His cause of death has not been announced yet, and funeral details are forthcoming. In 2009, Unk was hospitalized for a heart attack, which he told XXL was brought on by nonstop touring, poor eating habits, drinking and smoking.

DJ Unk was ahead of his time. Before social media, before TikTok challenges existed, DJ Unk was able to get the entire world to copy his dance moves. He shone a light on Atlanta that was desperately needed and helped make Atlanta a cultural staple by inventing his dances and snap music. Korey “Big Oomp” Roberson, who was responsible for signing DJ Unk to his first label deal 25 years ago, confirmed his passing in a statement to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“DJ Unk was not just a legendary DJ, rapper, and producer, but a true cornerstone of our label, and the imprint that he left globally will be cherished forever,” Roberson wrote in his statement. “Hit songs such as ‘Walk It Out’ and ‘2 Step’ have left an indelible mark on the industry, and his legacy will continue to inspire artists, DJs, and fans alike for years to come. His energy, creativity, and commitment to the craft will never be forgotten.

Roberson added, “We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We also want to thank everyone who has supported DJ Unk and the Oomp Camp over the years.”
Snap music was pioneered by Unk in 2006 with the smash tune “Walk It Out,” which also created a dance style that became a cultural sensation and made the Billboard Hot 100 top 10. “2 Step,” his second single, reached its highest position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 24. In 2006 and 2008, he put out two albums, Beat’n Down Yo Block! and 2econd Season. GloRilla‘s “Hollon” single from her 2024 debut album Glorious samples DJ Unk’s “Hold On Ho” from Beat’n Down Yo Block!. He was truly a trendsetter whose musical impact is still felt today. May he rest in power.

So will Akademiks actually get canceled for this one?

Michael Jackson Biopic Forced To Rewrite Part of Script Due To Child Abuse Settlement Clause
The highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic has reportedly hit a major roadblock due to an old legal agreement.
Insider reports claim the film’s third act, centered on the 1993 child-molestation allegations against Jackson, must be rewritten. A settlement from the ’90s reportedly prohibits dramatizing the Chandler family’s story—a key component of the original script.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Evan Chandler, a dentist and screenwriter based in Los Angeles, accused Jackson of s*xually abusing his 13-year-old son, Jordan. While a police investigation found no evidence against the pop star, the Chandlers later made the story public and sued Jackson, resulting in a financial settlement.

To complicate matters more, an estate executor allegedly failed to notify filmmakers of this restriction until after the $150 million production had wrapped. Reshoots are now in the works, with the Jackson estate covering costs, though the revised script still awaits final approval.
Despite the setbacks, Michael is now slated for an October 2025 release, postponed from its original April debut.

$100 Million Lawsuit Against Diddy Dismissed

Last year a Michigan prisoner filed a $100m civil lawsuit against Bad Boy Entertainment CEO, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, accusing him of sixual assault
The case has been tossed out for waiting too long to file...According to In Touch
The male prisoner who accused Diddy of sixual assault at a Holiday Inn had his lawsuit thrown out of court this week after Jennifer Lopez was dragged into the drama, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, a federal judge in Michigan dismissed Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith’s case on Wednesday, January 22.

The judge ruled that the claims were barred by the statute of limitations. Derrick claimed Diddy, 55, assaulted him in 1997.
At the time, the law stated Derrick would have had three years to file claims. The recent order read, “[Derrick] filed this lawsuit in 2024, which is long after the applicable statute of limitations expired.”
The judge said, “Accordingly, [Derrick’s] claim is barred by the applicable Michigan statute of limitations and must be dismissed with prejudice.” The “with prejudice” means Derrick cannot refile or bring the same claims against Diddy in the future.
Diddy’s request for sanctions, specifically an order prohibiting Derrick from filing future cases against him, was denied.
The judge also declined Diddy’s demand for monetary sanctions against Derrick but noted they could be awarded in the future based on Derrick’s actions.

Why is Katt Williams is spilling tea about Martin Lawrence
Stop everything you’re doing because Katt Williams just dropped a bomb that’s got the internet in shambles. During his latest stand-up show, the comedian went full savage mode on Martin Lawrence, basically saying what everyone’s been thinking but nobody dared to say out loud, and trust me, this tea is hotter than your morning coffee.

Picture this: Williams on stage, doing his thing, when suddenly he decides to address the elephant in the room about Lawrence’s health. With his signature no-filter style, he straight up called out Lawrence for allegedly hiding a stroke. Talking about how Lawrence keeps saying he didn’t have a stroke, but every time he does an interview, he looks like he had a stroke! And just like that, the whole room went from laughing to that awkward silence.

Here’s the thing about Williams’ comments that’s got everyone shook, it wasn’t just about landing a punchline. Between the laughs, he dropped some serious truth about how we handle health issues in the public eye. And honestly? He might be onto something.

Remember last year during the Bad Boys: Ride or Die press tour? Everyone noticed something was different about Lawrence, but it was like we all made a silent agreement not to mention it. Fans couldn’t help but notice he seemed to be struggling with some basic movements, but whenever anyone brought it up, it got shut down faster than your New Year’s resolutions.
This whole situation is like when your messy friend starts spilling tea at brunch, except this time it’s about something serious. Williams might be known for his comedy, but he’s also got a track record of saying what others won’t. It’s like he’s using humor as a Trojan horse to get us talking about the real stuff.

Social media is having a field day with this one. Half the people are sharing old clips trying to prove Williams right, while the other half are defending Lawrence like he’s their personal family member. It’s got more drama than your group chat after someone leaves someone else on read.
This isn’t just about Lawrence or Williams. It’s about how we deal with health issues in the public eye. Why do we act like having health problems is something to be ashamed of? It’s 2025, and we’re still treating medical conditions like they’re scandals waiting to happen.

Maybe Williams did us all a favor by bringing this up, even if his delivery was about as subtle as a Broadway musical. In a world where we’re supposedly all about mental health awareness and being real, why are we still acting like physical health issues are something to hide? It’s giving very much “we need to talk about this but nobody wants to go first” energy.

Whether or not Williams crossed a line with his jokes, he definitely got people talking. And maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Because at the end of the day, there’s nothing wrong with having health issues and getting better. What’s wrong is feeling like you have to hide it.
Meanwhile, Lawrence is probably somewhere wondering how he ended up being the topic of the week when all he’s trying to do is promote his movie. But that’s showbiz, baby, one minute you’re doing press for Bad Boys, the next minute you’re the subject of the most talked-about comedy routine since Dave Chappelle’s last special.

So here we are, watching the internet explode over a comedy routine that might just be more truth than joke. Whether you think Williams was wrong for this or speaking facts, one thing’s for sure, this conversation isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Sinead O'Connor Leaves Entire $1.7 Million Estate To Her Children, Grants Them Full Control Of Her Music
Sinead O'Connor, the Irish singer famously known for her hit "Nothing Compares 2 U," left her estate to her children following her death on July 26, 2023. According to probate records obtained by the US Sun, O'Connor's estate was valued at $1.7 million, which was later adjusted to $1.4 million after the payment of debts, funeral costs, and legal fees.
O'Connor's will, signed in 2013, specifically dictated that her music could be released "at the discretion of any of my children who are then over 18," allowing them to "milk it for what it's worth." This directive ensures that her children have control over her artistic legacy, potentially benefiting from the revenue generated by her posthumous releases.

Beyond the financial aspect, O'Connor's final wishes were steeped in personal touches. She instructed that her albums be released at the discretion of her children and requested to be dressed in priest clothing in her coffin, accompanied by a Hebrew bible and her album "Theology."

Her youngest son, Yeshua Bonadio, was to inherit her cherished guitar collection while her religious items had been earmarked for her son Shane, who tragically passed away by suicide in 2022. Her ex-husband, John Reynolds, who she was married to from 1987 to 1991, was named the executor of her estate, ensuring that her wishes would be carried out properly.
O'Connor died in London at the age of 56, with the cause of death being a combination of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma, along with a respiratory tract infection. Her death followed the tragic loss of her son Shane, deepening the heartbreak felt by her family and admirers.

In their statement to RTÉ, her family expressed their immense grief and requested privacy during this challenging time, stating, "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad."
Details of her British estate have yet to be disclosed to the public. However, the singer's will reflects her deep love for her children and her desire to ensure their well-being and control over her musical heritage. Sinéad O'Connor's legacy will last not only through her groundbreaking music but also through the thoughtful provisions she made for her family's future.

Mary J. Blige Says She ‘Fired Someone’ After Her Upcoming Tour Setlist Leaked Onlined

When Mary J. Blige said she wanted no more drama in her life, she meant it.
In an interview promoting her upcoming Lifetime film Mary J. Blige’s Family Affair, the Grammy-award winning songstress, 54, reveals to PEOPLE she let someone go from her team after part of the setlist for her upcoming For My Fans Tour leaked online last week.

“Yeah, I was pissed, and I fired someone because of it,” Blige confirms.
The reigning Queen of Hip-Hop Soul is embarking upon a 36-city tour this year, kicking off in Greensboro, NC on Jan. 30 and wrapping in Philadelphia, PA on April 17.
Blige has worked hard the past few weeks hashing out the final details for staging and overall production. She considers the setlist the most sacred element, hence her disappointment.

“We worked too hard and the setlist is the most private thing,” she says. “It was unprofessional. Obviously it was somebody within the camp, and they risked their whole life just to get a couple of likes.”
Thankfully, the leak was only a partial one. While fans can expect a bevy of hits and tracks from her latest album Gratitude, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee says there’s so much more in store for her fans.

“Only a little bit got leaked, and that's not even half,” reassures Blige. “People don't even know what else is coming.”
For the tour, Blige is tapping a couple of R&B crooners to join her: Mario, best known for his chart-topping single “Let Me Love You,” and Blige’s longtime collaborator and hitmaker Ne-Yo.

“I love Ne-Yo and Mario and I think those two guys have some of the best love songs of their generation,” says Blige. “Last time, I had Queen Naija and Ella Mai [on the Good Morning Gorgeous Tour.] I love me some Ella Mai, and I love Queen. This time I said, ‘We really need the women to be serenaded this time.’ We really need the women to feel special, and it's time for women to feel special.”

The “You Ain’t The Only One” singer first addressed the setlist leak in an Instagram story post on Jan. 18.
“This kinda hurts and it’s sad to see this leaked,” wrote Blige. “I wanted to surprise my fans with something special. But this doesn’t even scratch the surface of what I have planned.”

Liza Minnelli's Great Disappointment in Life Is 'Not Being a Mother,' Says Friend of 50 Years: 'So Much to Give'
For a woman who once faced the gargantuan challenge of emerging from the shadow of an iconic mother (The Wizard of Oz star Judy Garland), Liza Minnelli has done an incredible job securing a solid legacy as an entertainer.
She's won an Oscar (for the 1972 film Cabaret) and countless other accolades throughout her decades-long career. Some would even dare to say her achievements as an entertainer have matched — possibly even surpassed — those of her mother, who died in 1969 at age 47.

But according to some of her friends, the great disappointment in the life of the 78-year-old star has been never having the family she's craved all her life.
"I desperately want a family. I really want a family," she says to Geraldo Rivera in a vintage interview clip included in the new documentary Liza: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June and is currently playing in select theaters.

After the clip, the documentary shows three headlines announcing various pregnancy losses for the singer, who was married and divorced four times.
“We have been with Liza through all her emotional setbacks, like miscarriages," says Allan Lazare, who was friends with Minnelli for more than 50 years before his death in February 2024. In the documentary, Lazare is interviewed alongside his wife Arlene.
"If she had to pick one thing that she’s disappointed in her life and that’s not being a mother," Lazare continues. "She would have been a great mother. She has so much to give. She’s been so wonderful with our children."

He then goes on to describe the close relationship Minnelli has with his and Arlene's daughter. "We have a picture when our daughter was 3 years old around a Christmas tree [with] Liza hugging her and then 35 years later, when our daughter had a 3 year old, we have a picture around that same Christmas tree.”

Adds his wife Arlene, “She taught our daughter when she was 6 years old how to sing [Minnelli's signature song] ‘Liza with a Z.’… Our daughter was so proud to sing it, and she sang it all over the place for everybody.”
Mia Farrow, 79, who has been friends with Minnelli for most of their lives, also talks about the bond Minnelli shares with her children.

“She’s godmother to my twins, who are 50 now, and she’s never missed a birthday, anything.”
Minnelli's longtime friend Michael Feinstein, 68, explains in the doc that maintaining a close relationship with the children of her friends has provided her with a degree of comfort. “Even though she wasn’t able to have children of her own, she seems to have created her own family through all the children who came into her life and all the godchildren," he says.
But of course, as several of her friends acknowledge, the regret that she never had a chance to have a family of her own remains.
“She would have made an incredible mother, and life wasn’t perfect," Lazare says. "But she moved on, and she’s become part of our family. I think that’s part of our attraction for her. We’ve kept this bond with sort of a family she didn’t have.”
