This is the latest in a comeback from Gina Thompson, who has returned to the music scene in recent years after a lengthy hiatus. She shares about the new music:

“This song was presented to me by a friend. It was initially for someone else, but that situation didn’t work out so I was asked if I wanted it. The first time I heard it – I knew it was for me! ‘Nobody’s’ arrangement was different, and took me out of my comfort zone. My past records were customized to my sound, and I wasn’t really drawn from ‘my norm'”.

#HipHopNews: Drake To Headline All Three Days At Wireless Festival In London
Drake is one of the most successful artists of all time. On Sunday morning (Feb. 16), the Canadian recording artist is setting the bar once again after being announced as the headliner for all three nights of the 20th anniversary Wireless Festival in London’s Finsbury Park, between July 11-13.

The “God’s Plan” rapper is set to unleash a different setlist for each night, which is a huge flex. The first night will be Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR with Summer Walker as a special guest, Saturday will be Drake and “The Mandem,” before he closes his set out Sunday alongside Vybz Kartel and Burna Boy. This experience will be an exciting display of his impressive catalog, showing off his versatility as a recording artist.

This announcement comes on the heels of the release of his newest joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR, titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. The 21-track LP features multiple collab songs from the Canadian duo but also has solo moments that help piece together the full-length effort. Tracks like “CRYING IN CHANEL,” “DEEPER” and “NOKIA” have served as standout tracks. The most popular song so far is “GIMME A HUG,” which features a nod to legendary model and actress Melyssa Ford and a diss toward enigmatic podcast host, Joe Budden.

Although Drake mentioned on his album that 21 Savage was the only rapper who had been checking up on him since his beef with Kendrick Lamar, he received a major shout out from Atlanta legend and frequent collaborator Young Thug. The “WAY 2 SEXY” emcee shared a tweet stating, “That boy back [No. 1],” with a goat emoji, in reference to the newest drop. The album also features a co-sign for Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel. Drake named a song after the popular legal representative for his work in freeing Thug and concluding the highly documented YSL RICO trial.

After being reached for comment following Drake’s track list reveal, Steel stated, “I have had the honor of meeting with Mr. Graham. He is so kind, considerate, generous, inspirational, intelligent – a true leader and great model for our community.” The upbeat smash hit is one of the highlights of the primarily sultry and slow project.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ surges to $100 million opening weekend
“Captain America: Brave New World” was No. 1 at the weekend box office and is projected to finish as one of the highest-grossing Presidents’ Day weekend openers.
According to Comscore estimates, the fourth “Captain America” film grossed about $88.5 million in domestic sales Friday through Sunday. It’s expected to surpass $100 million through the remainder of the holiday weekend to become the No. 4 highest-grossing Presidents’ Day weekend opener, edging out “Fifty Shades of Grey,” which grossed $93 million over the four days in 2015, but behind three other Marvel films: “Black Panther” ($242 million) in 2018, “Deadpool” ($152 million) in 2016 and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” ($120 million) in 2023.

“This sets into motion a revival in interest in the MCU, getting the audiences back on board and where they have to see each of these movies because it all ties together,” Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst at Comscore, told CNN.

The debut weekend for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 35th movie is in line with “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” ($95 million), in April 2014, but not as successful as “Captain America: Civil War” ($179 million) in May 2016. “Captain America: The First Avenger” in its opening weekend in July 2011, grossed $65 million, which equates to about $91 million when adjusted for inflation.

“Captain America: Brave New World” didn’t shatter any records for Disney’s lucrative MCU franchise, but it was nowhere near the bottom. “The Marvels,” which debuted in November 2023, had the franchise’s lowest-performing opening weekend at $46 million.
Marvel, which has drawn huge box-office returns since “Iron Man” in 2008, has seen underwhelming opening-weekend figures in recent years. The R-rated “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which opened in July 2024 and raked in more than $200 million in its opening weekend, was an outlier for the latest MCU releases, said Daniel Loria, editorial director at The Boxoffice Company.

Zoe Saldaña is Triumphant after her BAFTA win for 'Emilia Perez'
Zoe Saldana broke down in tears as she accepted the Best Supporting Actress at the EE BAFTAs. The ceremony, held at London’s iconic Royal Festival Hall, marked a milestone moment in the actress’s career, adding to her impressive roster of accolades.

The 46-year-old actress fought off competition from her Emilia Pérez co-star Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, (Wicked) Felicity Jones, (The Brutalist) Jamie Lee Curtis, (The Last Showgirl) Isabella Rossellini, (Conclave) following her role in the Spanish-language French musical. The category showcased an exceptional range of performances, spanning various genres and languages, making Saldana’s win particularly meaningful.
“I was told not to cry by my children so I’m gonna try,” she said, speaking live on stage at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday, Feb. 16. The historic venue provided a fitting backdrop for this emotional moment, its grand architecture reflecting the prestige of the British Academy awards.

“This is so validating, and a true honor because the very few times I had for a part with a British accent, the dialect coach was like ‘This is not gonna happen for you’ and even though I do love a British accent, and I have a lot of British friends, I find myself repeating their phrases and I find that I am a pain in the a–! This was the creative challenge of a lifetime.” Her candid admission resonated with the audience, who responded with warm laughter and applause.
Saldaña — who has Zen, Cy, and Bowie with her husband Marco Perego — couldn’t stop crying as she dedicated the award to her mother and her husband as she joked that the accent that she affected for the film didn’t necessarily need to be heard again. The touching moment highlighted the personal significance of her achievement.
“I wanna thank my mom for being the most selfless person, it’s thanks to you that I am able to do this, and this is insane,” she said. “My husband, you are God’s favorite and I hate it! But you’re so beautiful. Thank you for my children. Films are supposed to change hearts and challenge minds and I hope, I hope that Emilia Pérez did something like this. Please, because voices need to be heard — just not my English accent!” Her heartfelt words drew a standing ovation from the distinguished gathering.

Emilia Pérez, directed by acclaimed French filmmaker Marie Laurent, has garnered widespread acclaim for its innovative storytelling approach, seamlessly blending Spanish dialogue with French musical traditions. The film explores themes of cultural identity, artistic expression, and personal transformation through the lens of Franco-Spanish musical heritage.

Saldaña‘s portrayal of Emilia, a talented musician navigating the vibrant cultural landscape of 1960s Paris, has been praised by critics for its depth and authenticity. Her commitment to mastering both the Spanish dialogue and British-accented English sequences demonstrates her remarkable versatility as an performer.

The ceremony itself was a celebration of international cinema, with Saldaña’s win highlighting the growing recognition of multilingual performances in British cinema. Her victory speech, punctuated by genuine emotion and humor, captured the essence of her journey in bringing Emilia’s character to life.
Her co-star, Selena Gomez, who delivers a compelling performance as Emilia’s protégé in the film, was visibly moved by Saldaña’s win. The pair’s on-screen chemistry has been particularly noted by critics, who praise their authentic portrayal of a complex mentor-student relationship.
The emotional acceptance speech resonated deeply with both the live audience and viewers at home, embodying the transformative power of storytelling through film. Saldaña’s genuine gratitude and vulnerability on stage served as a powerful reminder of the personal investment artists make in their craft.

As the evening drew to a close, Saldaña’s BAFTA victory stood as a testament to her remarkable contribution to international cinema, while her heartfelt speech remained one of the ceremony’s most memorable moments, celebrating both artistic achievement and personal triumph.

Wendy Williams visits father for 94th birthday

Wendy Williams has been allowed to visit her father for his 94th birthday – despite ongoing restrictions under her court-appointed guardianship. The development marks a rare exception to her current living arrangements, which have been closely monitored since 2022.
The former television host, 60, was photographed arriving at Miami International Airport on Saturday (15.02.25), ahead of her dad Thomas Williams Sr’s birthday celebrations – after Wendy, who is currently living in a New York City wellness facility, had previously expressed uncertainty about whether she would be able to attend due to her conservatorship. Her appearance at the airport marked her first public outing in several months.

Her visit came after a judge ruled she was permitted to fly to Miami for two days to celebrate with her father, and photos taken at the airport showed her smiling as she sat in a motorized scooter upon arrival. The brief reunion represents a significant moment for the Williams family, who have faced limited contact under the guardianship arrangement.

“My dad is going to be 94 next month. I don’t know if I’m able to fly to Miami to say happy birthday to my dad,” Wendy had spoken about her uncertainty regarding the visit last month during an emotional interview on ‘The Breakfast Club’ with Charlamagne tha God. The interview garnered over 2 million views within 24 hours of its release.

Wendy also attributed the uncertainty to her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, saying: “Listen, I don’t know if she’s going to let me see my dad for his birthday.” This statement highlighted the complex dynamics between Williams and her court-appointed guardian.
Sabrina has overseen Wendy’s finances and health since 2022, while her family has had limited contact with her. The guardianship was established following concerns about Williams’ mental and physical health, according to court documents.

A source with knowledge of the case told ‘The Breakfast Club’ the guardianship court holds the final decision over whether Wendy can travel outside of her New York facility, where she receives round-the-clock medical care. The facility specializes in comprehensive wellness care for high-profile individuals.

During the interview, Wendy also emphasized the importance of visiting her father due to his advanced age. Her emotional plea resonated with many viewers who took to social media to express their support.
She added: “I’m exhausted thinking about what if I can’t see my dad for his birthday. At 94, the day after that is not promised.” This sentiment reflects the challenging balance between medical care and family connections in guardianship situations.
Wendy’s mother, Shirley Williams, died in 2020 at the age of 85. The loss of her mother made this birthday visit with her father particularly meaningful for the former talk show host.

Her niece, Alex Finnie, who was present for the interview about her guardianship, shared her frustration over the situation, saying: “She wants to be here for his birthday. And the fact that they’re playing games — I’m sorry, that is just absolutely sickening.” Finnie’s comments highlight the family’s ongoing concerns about the restrictions placed on Williams.
The approved visit represents a significant development in Williams’ guardianship case, which has drawn attention to the complexities of conservatorships for public figures. Legal experts note that such arrangements often require careful balance between medical necessity and personal freedom.

This birthday celebration comes amid growing public discourse about celebrity conservatorships and guardianships, with several high-profile cases drawing attention to the legal framework surrounding these arrangements. Williams’ case has particularly highlighted the impact on family relationships.
Sources close to the situation report that the two-day visit was carefully planned with medical considerations in mind, ensuring Williams’ health needs would be met while allowing for this important family moment. The decision to approve the travel request suggests a possible shift toward more flexible arrangements within the guardianship framework.

LeToya Luckett shuts down pregnancy rumors with humor
In a recent social media exchange that captured widespread attention, LeToya Luckett addressed unsolicited pregnancy speculation with remarkable composure. The accomplished singer and actress took to Instagram with a series of photographs showcasing her in an elegant pink ensemble, complete with matching fur coat and handbag, alongside her husband Taleo Coles. The incident sparked a broader dialogue about body image, respect, and the ongoing scrutiny faced by women in the public eye.

What began as a simple sharing of moments transformed into a meaningful dialogue about society’s tendency to scrutinize women’s bodies. After followers began speculating about a potential pregnancy, Luckett addressed the situation head-on, emphasizing the importance of body acceptance, particularly for mothers who have experienced childbirth. Her response resonated with many women who have faced similar assumptions and judgments about their bodies, particularly in the age of social media where casual comments can have lasting impacts.

The singer’s approach to handling the situation demonstrated both wisdom and empathy, acknowledging the well-meaning nature of some comments while firmly establishing boundaries. Her stance highlighted the importance of challenging societal norms that automatically equate changes in a woman’s body with pregnancy.

As a mother of two children, Tysun and Gianna, Luckett has been transparent about her family planning decisions. She openly discussed her current inability to have more biological children, mentioning surrogacy as a potential future option while expressing contentment with her present family structure. This candid sharing of personal information serves to normalize conversations about fertility and family planning, topics that often remain taboo despite affecting millions of women.
The Destiny’s Child alum has consistently used her platform to share authentic glimpses into her life as a mother, showing both the joys and challenges of parenting. Her social media presence reflects a balanced approach to celebrity parenthood, offering relatable content while maintaining appropriate boundaries for her family’s privacy.

The article would be remiss not to mention Luckett’s recent marriage to Taleo Coles in August 2024. Their wedding ceremony, attended by industry luminaries including Tina Knowles and Toya Wright-Rushing, marked a significant milestone in Luckett’s personal journey. The celebration showcased not just their union but the merging of families and the beginning of a new chapter.

Their relationship has been characterized by mutual support and understanding, with Coles often appearing in Luckett’s social media posts as they navigate life’s moments together. This public display of healthy partnership adds another layer to Luckett’s influence as a role model for young women.
Beyond the immediate context of pregnancy speculation, Luckett‘s response opens up a broader conversation about societal expectations and assumptions. Her approach demonstrates how public figures can use their platform to advocate for respectful dialogue while maintaining their dignity and personal boundaries. The incident has sparked important discussions about body image, particularly for women who have given birth and face pressure to immediately “bounce back” to pre-pregnancy figures.

As Luckett continues to navigate her multifaceted roles as an entertainer, mother, and wife, her handling of this situation serves as a masterclass in graceful boundary-setting. Her response not only addressed immediate concerns but also contributed to an ongoing dialogue about body positivity and respect for personal choices.
The incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing need for sensitivity and awareness in social media interactions. Luckett’s example shows how celebrities can use their influence to promote positive change while maintaining their personal dignity and authenticity.

Shakira hospitalized with abdominal issue

Shakira has been hospitalised with an “abdominal issue”. The unexpected health concern has impacted her currently running world tour.
The 48-year-old musician, who is currently on her ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ world tour, informed fans of her condition in a statement posted on X on Sunday (16.02.25), as she has been forced to postpone her scheduled performance in Peru due to her emergency treatment

“I am sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalized,” she said. “The doctors whose care I am currently under have communicated that I am not in good enough condition to perform this evening.”
Shakira had been due to perform in Lima on Monday as part of the South American leg of her tour, which began on 11 February at Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro. The stadium was filled with eager fans for her opening performance.
She is set to play five shows in Colombia, including three in her hometown of Barranquilla, from 20 to 27 February, before closing out the continent’s dates on 8 March. These hometown shows hold particular significance as they mark her return to perform in her native city.

The singer added she was “very sad” about the postponement, explaining she had been looking forward to reuniting with her fans in Peru. The Latin American leg of her tour has generated significant excitement among her devoted fanbase.
But she said she remained hopeful she would be discharged in time for her next scheduled performance, saying online: “I hope to be released and well tomorrow so that I am able to perform.”
Shakira also confirmed her team and promoters were working to reschedule the Peru concert, adding: “Thank you all for your understanding, I love you all, Shak.” The tour’s production team has been working diligently to ensure smooth operations throughout the tour.

The Grammy-winning artist has faced recent scrutiny over her tour’s stage design, with some fans on social media accusing her of copying elements from Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ tour. The production design for her current tour features elaborate staging and lighting effects.

In one widely shared post, a user compared Shakira’s decision to display her name in large silver letters to a similar visual used in Beyoncé’s tour branding. The stage setup includes extensive lighting and visual elements.
Another pointed to the Colombian singer’s onstage metallic wolf, drawing parallels to Beyoncé’s now-iconic silver horse, which featured prominently during her performances. The wolf prop has become a talking point among concertgoers.
Shakira and Beyoncé have previously collaborated, releasing the 2006 single ‘Beautiful Liar’, which achieved significant success on the charts.

Following her opening show in Brazil on her tour, Shakira took to Instagram to share her excitement, declaring: “Rio! I couldn’t have asked for a better crowd to kick off the tour! Thank you for all your love, warmth, and energy on an unforgettable night! São Paulo, are you ready?” The Rio show featured songs from throughout her career.

Shakira‘s ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ tour is set to continue in Mexico from 12 March. The tour, which translates to “Women No Longer Cry,” is her first global tour in seven years and supports her latest album of the same name.
This health setback comes at a crucial time in Shakira’s career, as she continues to promote her latest album and connect with fans worldwide through her energetic performances and powerful stage presence.
The hospitalization has prompted an outpouring of support from fans across social media platforms, with many sending well wishes and hoping for her swift recovery. Her dedicated followers have expressed understanding about the postponement, prioritizing the artist’s health and well-being.

The tour represents a significant moment in Shakira’s artistic journey, showcasing not only her new material but also celebrating her extensive catalog of hits that have made her a global music icon. As fans await updates on her condition, the focus remains on her recovery and potential return to the stage.

Nationally syndicated talker “Tamron Hall” has been renewed for a seventh season, Variety has learned. The daytime strip, which has become Disney’s second longest-running syndicated talker (behind “Live with Kelly and Mark”) has been picked up for another season by major market ABC-owned TV stations and Hearst Television. That gives it a firm go for the 2025-2026 TV season.
“Tamron’s distinctive, thoughtful ability to tap into the meaningful issues of the day continue to resonate with her devoted ‘Tam Fam‘ across ABC Owned Television Stations and the Hearst Television markets,” said Debra OConnell, president of ABC News Group and Disney Entertainment Networks, who was set to announce the renewal on Monday. “With its unique combination of interesting newsmakers and enlightening conversation, I know the show will deliver an exceptional and riveting Season 7.”

“It’s no secret I find inspiration in numbers. For many, the number seven represents a completion for us. For my team and I, season seven represents the continued growth of the show built by the Tam Fam,” Hall said in a statement, while thanking Disney/ABC, O’Connell and ABC News president Almin Karamehmedovic, as well as her production team. “I am so excited to nurture and grow this special show with you,” she added.

Said Burns: “There’s nothing like ‘Tamron Hall’ in daytime. Tamron’s ability to keep her hand on the pulse of pop culture – while also getting both celebrities and our Tam Fam to open up in unexpected ways – is that special sauce that has made the show a unique daytime staple. Season 7 is a reward for all the hard work we pour into making pure magic with each episode.”

Mike Tyson shuts down Jake Paul’s Parkinson’s claim as boxer backtracks the lie

Jake Paul claimed Mike Tyson was cured of Parkinson’s with toad venom, but Tyson’s team denied it. Paul later backtracked, sparking debate among fans.
Jake Paul sparked controversy after claiming that Mike Tyson had Parkinson’s disease and was cured by smoking psychedelic toad venom. Paul made the comments during a livestream with Adin Ross while discussing the use of substances like ayahuasca and mushrooms for health benefits.

During the conversation, Paul excitedly stated, “Toad cured Tyson’s Parkinson’s so that he could come back and fight,” referring to the psychedelic properties of venom from Sonoran Desert toads. The statement quickly went viral, leading to widespread speculation.
Following the viral clip, a spokesperson for Tyson denied the claims in a statement to TMZ, stating, “Mike is happy and perfectly healthy. He doesn’t have Parkinson’s or any other illness.”

This clarification comes amid concerns about Tyson’s health, as he had a medical incident on a plane last year that led to his highly-publicised fight with Paul being postponed from July to November.
After facing backlash, Paul took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify his comments. He wrote:
“Bruh…Mike Tyson didn’t have no Parkinson’s.. WTF. Why the f* is the internet so stupid for? I misspoke. Meant he used toad to heal his pain. He has spoken about it many times. Just like I do. Just like many do.”**

Despite the retraction, Paul’s initial statement had already fueled speculation, leaving fans divided on whether it was a genuine mistake or a reckless exaggeration.

Rihanna branded an 'evil human being' for wearing fur by animal rights protester
Rihanna was branded an 'evil human' being for wearing fur by an animal rights protestor outside of boyfriend A$AP Rocky's shooting trial.
The 36-year-old mogul - who sent a four-word message to kids RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, a day prior - was seen leaving Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday when she was confronted by an animal rights activist with a sign.
The performer was seen at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in the downtown area and during a break briefly joined Rocky - who could face up to 24 years in prison for allegedly shooting his former friend A$AP Relli in 2021.

As Rihanna has worn fur throughout her career and has even been confronted on many occasions about it, the Diamonds hitmaker was asked: 'What kind of person would wear fur in 2025?'
Rihanna ignored the question and the unidentified man became even more aggressive as he  yelled: 'Shame on you. You are an evil human being! Animals are skinned alive.'
The star looked chic in a flowy green patterned long-sleeved maxi dress with white python leather booties.
She hopped in the back of a black SUV as the man held the sign featuring a disturbing photo of a skinned animal in front of the vehicle and demanded she look at it.
Others in the crowd did not agree with what the protester was doing as one even defiantly said: 'She look good in animal.'
Things then got very tense as Rihanna's SUV pushed toward the man which led to the crowd gasping before a security guard pulls him away and the vehicle drove off.

This came a day after Rihanna shared an emotional four-word exchange with her two children during the closing arguments at partner A$AP Rocky's weapons assault trial in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The Diamonds songstress, 36 - who has appeared in the courtroom to support Rocky a total of five times - shares her sons RZA, two, and Riot, one, with the rapper, 36.
The pair were spotted exiting the courtroom to step into a hallway as they each held one of their children, per People.
When the break was at an end, the four gathered together and Rihanna could be heard telling the toddlers to 'wish daddy good luck.'

Rocky then leaned in to kiss the songstress as well as his children before re-entering the courtroom.
The Love On The Brain hitmaker exited through a back door but later returned without their children.

Jay-Z Sues Attorney Tony Buzbee Over False Rape Allegations, Claims $20 Million in Losses

Hip-hop mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter has taken legal action against Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, accusing him of defamation, civil extortion, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The lawsuit follows the dismissal of a rape case filed against Jay-Z and fellow music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs in October 2024.
Jay-Z claims that the false allegations, strategically filed the night before his daughter Blue Ivy’s highly anticipated Mufasa: The Lion King movie premiere, resulted in severe personal and financial damage—including the loss of $20 million in business contracts.

The initial lawsuit, filed by a plaintiff known as Jane Doe, accused Jay-Z and Diddy of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000. The shocking claims sent ripples through the entertainment industry, drawing widespread media attention and putting Jay-Z’s reputation on the line.

However, on February 14, 2025, the case was voluntarily dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled in the future. In response, Jay-Z stated,
“The frivolous, fictitious, and appalling allegations have been dismissed. The lawsuit was without merit and never going anywhere.”
While he expressed relief at the case’s dismissal, the damage had already been done. The rap icon insists that the timing of the lawsuit was intentional and malicious, designed to force him into a no-win situation.

Jay-Z’s legal declaration, filed on February 10 in Los Angeles, details how the lawsuit’s timing forced him to make a heartbreaking choice:
“I felt that Mr. Buzbee was placing a gun to my head—that I either bow to his demands or endure personal and financial ruin.”
According to Jay-Z, the lawsuit was strategically filed just hours before Blue Ivy’s big night at the premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King. As a proud father, he wanted to support his daughter’s milestone moment, but the cloud of the allegations threatened to overshadow the event.

Beyond the personal toll, Jay-Z asserts that the false allegations cost him $20 million in lost contracts. The scandal allegedly led to canceled business deals and endorsements, as companies distanced themselves amid the controversy.
The rapper, entrepreneur, and philanthropist also described the immense psychological strain he endured, stating that the lawsuit forced him into “hiding” to avoid the negative media attention. The emotional distress, he claims, was a calculated attack on his character and legacy.

Jay-Z’s lawsuit against Buzbee isn’t the first time the high-profile attorney has faced scrutiny.
In December 2024, Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, filed a separate complaint against Buzbee, accusing him of extortion and defamation.
In New York Supreme Court, Buzbee himself is being sued by a woman who claims he transmitted a venereal disease to her after a 2018 encounter.
Buzbee, known for handling high-profile cases, has yet to comment publicly on Jay-Z’s latest lawsuit.

Jay-Z remains determined to hold Buzbee accountable for what he describes as a deliberate smear campaign. His lawsuit seeks financial damages and aims to set a precedent against attorneys who misuse the legal system for personal or professional gain.
While the legal battle is ongoing, Jay-Z continues to focus on his family, business ventures, and music career. The lawsuit’s resolution could mark an important moment in the fight against weaponized lawsuits and character assassination in the entertainment industry.
For now, the legendary rapper’s message is clear: he refuses to let false allegations define his legacy.

The Grammy-winner also opened up about her creative thought process behind the new album.
“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved. [The project is] reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way,” she said, per Rolling Stone.

Mayhem is Lady Gaga‘s eighth studio album. It will be released March 7, 2025.Delta Air Lines Flight from Minneapolis

Eddie Murphy’s Tracy Morgan Impression and MAGA Tom Hanks Steal the Show on ‘Black Jeopardy’ at ‘SNL50’

“Black Jeopardy,” one of Kenan Thompson’s most popular recurring “Saturday Night Live” sketches, came back to 30 Rock during the show’s 50th anniversary special on Sunday. As usual, Thompson played host Darnell Hayes aka Alex Treblack, with contestants being played by former cast members Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan and, most notably, Eddie Murphy.

The biggest laughs were earned by Murphy, who did an impression of Morgan, while Morgan played a man named Darius and Jordan played a woman named Shanice.
“Welcome to ‘Black Jeopardy,’ the only ‘Jeopardy’ where every single viewer fully understood Kendrick’s halftime performance,” Thompson said, opening the sketch with a reference to Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl appearance.
As Thompson introduced him, Murphy called out, “Big dog gonna make some big money!” in an exaggerated put-on of Morgan’s voice.
“Now wait a minute, Tracy. Don’t you already have a lot of money?” Thompson asked him. “You gotta have a lot of money if you live like I live,” Murphy shot back. “I eat four-cheese lasagna. If they only got three cheeses, I ain’t eating it.” As Thompson tried to wrap him up, Murphy emphasized, “I refuse to ingest three cheeses.”

“Darius, Tracy, y’all seem like you might be related,” Thompson said after the game got going. In his outlandish Morgan impression, Murphy said, “Well, James Earl Jones is my biological father. James Earl Jones impregnated my mother on the set of ‘Claudine.’ You know what? We might be related.” Morgan, acting irritated, replied, “I don’t see it.”

The categories for the Jeopardy game were “Look Here,” “This Joker Talkin’ Bout,” “Leave Bronny Alone,” “Mannnn…,” “Live From New York” and, as always, “White People.”
When Morgan selected “Live From New York” and was asked which “legendary late night show created some of comedy’s biggest stars,” an obvious meta-reference to “SNL,” all three contestants fell silent. Darius finally guessed “In Living Color” before Thompson gave them the hint that the show aired on Saturdays. “What is ‘Showtime at the Apollo’?” Murphy offered as Morgan. The buzzer for incorrect answers rang out before he added, “Featuring Sandman Sims,” and was buzzed again. “Hosted by Steve Harvey,” he tried. Though he got yet another buzz, he kept going — “Y’all ready for your next act? Let me hear you say ‘yeah!”” Morgan and especially Jones broke character and burst out laughing during the bit.

Next, Jones appeared close to getting the right answer: “This show has been on every Saturday for years, right, Darnell? And it’s got a host and a musical guest? Can I say the famous catchphrase that opens the show?” On Thompson’s cue, she cheered, “It’s ‘Soul Train!'” and got buzzed. When Thompson finally told them that the answer was “Saturday Night Live,” none of them were familiar. Even when he reminded them that Morgan had been on the show with Tina Fey, Murphy replied, “What is ’30 Rock’?”

Chris Rock then came out to give a guest clue about “SNL” after joking that he’s been watching “Black Jeopardy” since the ’70s, when it was titled “Mama’s Got Questions.” Presenting a photo of the Church Lady, a character Dana Carvey played on “SNL” beginning in the late ’80s, he asked the group to name her. After Jones incorrectly guessed Madea, the right answer was supplied by a surprise Tom Hanks — complete with a Make America Great Again hat and a Southern accent.

Hanks added, “Speaking of church, can I say something? If more folks went to church, we wouldn’t be in this mess we’re in now.” Thompson said he agreed, then stepped forward to shake Hanks’ hand. Hanks recoiled from the gesture, but eventually accepted it. Thompson told him he was welcome on “Black Jeopardy” anytime, to which Hanks responded, “Thank you, my brother. Maybe I’ll start a show for you to come on, and we’ll call it ‘White Jeopardy.”

“We don’t need it!” Thompson said, rushing to a commercial break. “When we return to ‘Black Jeopardy,’ we will see if anyone has watched any of this year’s Oscar movies. I doubt it!”

Jalen Hurts’ Mother Confronts Fox Sports Analyst Nick Wright over Criticism
*Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright was confronted by Jalen Hurts‘ mother, Pamela, before Super Bowl LIX due to his harsh criticism of the star quarterback.
Hurts had an outstanding season, leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a 14–3 record, winning their division, and securing a Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite his impressive performance in Super Bowl LVII, Hurts had faced criticism for inconsistent play, with some labeling him Philadelphia’s weak link. Wright, one of his harshest critics, discussed the encounter with Hurts’ mom on his podcast, What’s Wright? with Nick Wright.

“Saturday night, DraftKings’ Klutch Sports party at Brennan’s in New Orleans, this woman comes up to me and says, ‘I would like to ask you a question, why do you talk so bad about Jalen Hurts?’ I was like, ‘Well, I don’t know that’s fair,’ She was like, ‘Yes, it is. You always talk bad about him.,” Wright began, per the Irish Star.

“She still is like not really having it and then I realized something I should have realized much earlier in the conversation. And I said, ‘Ma’am, may I ask you a question, are you Jalen Hurts mother?’ And she said, ‘Yes, I am.’

“She obviously just thinks I’m wrong, which is what a mother should think,” Wright continued. “She says, ‘What are you going to say when he wins?’ I was like, ‘Well, if he,’ and before that, she goes, ‘Not if – when he wins.’ So, what I’ll say is, Jalen Hurts now deserves to be just considered one of the five best quarterbacks. Winning a Super Bowl really matters a lot.”
