#RHOA: Porsha Williams Calls Cynthia Bailey ‘The Best Friend’ Amid RHOA Return
It’s going to be an exciting season and friends and alliances are going to be so important. And Porsha Williams knows that. She teased the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and shared that the best friend this time around was Cynthia Bailey.
The reality star talked to PEOPLE about her return to RHOA after a couple of seasons off. And amid crazy drama and lots of piping hot tea, she revealed how Cynthia’s friendship has been particularly special this new season.
Porsha Williams says Cynthia Bailey is literally the show’s “best friend”
“I can not say enough about Cynthia Bailey,” Porsha shared enthusiastically. “She came back as a friend this season and she is literally the best friend of the show. We’ve had other people, but I feel like when she came back in, she genuinely was interested in what we had going on.”
And they certainly had a lot going on. The recent RHOA Season 16 trailer revealed a packed and exciting season of fun, fighting, and more. Porsha previously said she was going to be transparent during Season 16 and based on the trailer, we can see she’s doing just that and transparently showing her displeasure about her ex, Dennis McKinley, working with Drew Sidora.
So it’s good she has her BFF Cynthia with her! “She’s that big sis,” Porsha explained. “She wants to fix everything. She’s a confidant. I just love her.”
Drama wasn’t the only thing Cynthia helped Porsha deal with, and Porsha also revealed that she struggled a bit filming the new season after her hiatus and it felt a bit weird to be back.
“The first day of filming, I kid you not, I felt like a rookie,” Porsha said. “I promise you, I stopped midway and I was like, ‘Am I supported to be looking this way?’”
She confessed that she had to “stop looking at the camera” and “recalibrate” to make the cameras invisible again. She also shared that she had spent some time in therapy to help her set healthy boundaries in her divorce while filming.
Cynthia also talked about her return to the show saying it felt “amazing” to be back on the Bravo show. “It was fun to get back with the girls. There’s something to be said about bringing in some fresh blood and some of the old girls as well.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns Sunday, March 9 on Bravo.
#MusicNews: Erykah Badu Wins First Grammy in Over 20 Years at 2025 Grammys

Erykah Badu was among the list of winners at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The neo-soul legend won Best Melodic Rap Performance for her feature on Rapsody’s “3:AM.”
It marks the rapper’s first-ever Grammy win. “So much to feel,” Rapsody wrote in an Instagram post. “So many loved ones to thank. Not enough words to articulate it all. It’s been a long time coming. Not validation. Affirmation. A welcoming into a prestigious village. Thank you to the Creator, Jehovah. Thank you to those who always saw me. I bring the village of loved ones with me. To those who didn’t, you gotta see me now.”
As for Badu, it’s her first Grammy win in over 20 years and her fifth award overall. Her previous win was at the 45th Grammys in 2003, where she was awarded Best R&B Song for “Love Of My Life (An Ode To Hip Hop)” with Common.
The timeless classic, which Badu co-produced with Raphael Saadiq, Jake & The Phatman, and James Poyser, appeared on the Brown Sugar soundtrack and international editions of her third album, Worldwide Underground (2003), as a bonus track.
Badu became a Grammy winner at the 40th Grammy Awards in 1998, where she won Best R&B Album for her debut album, Baduizm, and Best Female Vocal R&B Performance for the album’s lead single “On & On.”
Here is an overview of Erykah Badu’s Grammys:
Best Melodic Rap Performance: “3:AM” (2025)
Best R&B Song: “Love Of My Life (An Ode To Hip Hop)” (2003)
Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group: “You Got Me” (2000)
Best R&B Album: Baduizm (1998)
Best Female R&B Vocal Performance: “On & On” (1998)
Circling back to “3:AM,” the jazz-tinged track appears on Rapsody’s fourth album, Please Don’t Cry, which was released via Jamla/Roc Nation on May 17, 2024.
In a past interview with Billboard, Rapsody talked about working with Badu. “Dream come true. She’s someone I’ve always admired [and] looked up to. She’s always been graceful and supportive throughout my whole career. She’s one of my favorite and most influential artists.”
Rapsody continued, “So to be able to have a moment with her and create something that’s timeless, I can’t even articulate how beautiful and how thankful I am to God for connecting us in that way.”
Regarding the song’s creation, Rapsody told Stereogum, “On ‘3:AM’ I wrote to the piano, and we then built the beat around it later. It was really about raw emotion, and the piano brings out the most honest emotions, you know?”
#HipHopNews: Ye Brags About Bianca Censori Being The "Most Googled Person" After 2025 Grammy Awards
Ye’s wife, Bianca Censori, was briefly the “most Googled person” in the world after her sheer dress stunt at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Taking to Instagram on early Tuesday (Feb. 4), the “Jesus Walks” rapper proudly pointed it out with the receipts, of course.
“We beat the [Grammys],” Ye wrote in a series of now-deleted Instagram posts. “For clarity, Feb. 4, 2025, my wife is the most Googled person on the planet called Earth.” In a subsequent Story, he shared a Google Trends screenshot where “Bianca Censori Grammys” outpaced “Grammy Winners 2025” in search interest.
Another photo showed the two keywords having over 5 million searches, with “Kendrick Lamar Grammys” and “Beyoncé Grammys” trailing behind at 1 million. For context, Censori wore a black fur coat over the see-through nude dress without anything on underneath. Shortly after, reports surfaced of the two being booted from the event, which Ye denied and blamed on Don Lemon, of all people.
“I did not start a rumor about you being kicked out of the Grammys. I actually corrected it… I saw someone on your team who asked me to correct it because it had been reported everywhere,” Lemon said in a video shared on YouTube before urging Ye to “get your s**t straight.”
Controversy aside, Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s “CARNIVAL” was in the running for Best Rap Song. It competed against Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” Rapsody and Hit-Boy’s “Asteroids,” GloRilla’s “Yeah Glo!” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” which ultimately ended up winning.
The Playboi Carti and Rich The Kid-assisted track initially appeared on Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s VULTURES 1 in February 2024. “Rich, Ty, Carti and the supporters that stood by us through everything, this No. 1 is for you. It’s for the people who won’t be manipulated by the system,” Ye said in response to it topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Andre 3000, Usher, Dapper Dan, And More Named As 2025 Met Gala Host Committee Members

The Met Gala is just a few months away, and the institute has tapped big names to serve as members of this year’s host committee. The annual fashion event will be based around the spring 2025 exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” and boasts a top-notch lineup of fashion figures that will contribute to helping the fundraiser up the ante from its previous iterations.
Back in October, The Met announced LeBron James will serve as honorary chair, while Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, ASAP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and of course, Anna Wintour are co-chairs. The announcement made today (Feb. 4) by Vogue revealed this year’s members of the costume institute benefit host committee, which lists names like Andre 3000, Usher, Dapper Dan, Angel Reese, Doechii, Simone Biles, Ayo Edebiri, Sha’Carri Richardson, Spike Lee, Tonya Lewis Lee, and plenty more needle movers.
The Met Gala this year will take place on May 5, 2025, continuing its long tradition of commencing on the first Monday of May every year.
The dress code is Tailored for You, a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear and is “purposefully designed to provide guidance and invite creative interpretation,” per The Met. It is the institute’s first exhibition to focus on menswear since 2003’s “Men in Skirts.” Composed of clothing, photographs, fine art, historical texts, artifacts, and more, it was inspired by guest curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.
“Dandyism can seem frivolous, but it often poses a challenge to or a transcendence of social and cultural hierarchies,” Miller said in a statement. “It asks questions about identity, representation, and mobility in relation to race, class, gender, sexuality, and power. This exhibition explores dandyism as both a pronouncement and a provocation.”
Last year’s gala theme was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” which garnered memorable looks from Tyla, Doja Cat, Usher, Zendaya, and plenty more. A record sum of more than $26 million was brought in by the 2024 event, per NBC.
Diddy Sued By Two Women For Alleged Sexual Assault At Trump Hotel
Diddy has been slapped with a lawsuit from two more women, who claim they were sexually assaulted because of him in the ’90s. TMZ reports that Tony Buzbee made good on his promise and delivered another round of suits aimed at the Hip-Hop tycoon on Tuesday (Feb. 4).
A Jane Doe claimed that a club promoter raped her at a Trump Hotel at the request of Sean Combs after a party at a club called Limelight. Doe claims that she and her friend were “held hostage” at the penthouse suite, while Combs and other men drugged and sexually assaulted them.
Additionally, woman No. 1 recalled another incident from a 1997 encounter in the Hamptons. She claims she attended a Diddy party in the Hamptons where she worked as a bottle service attendant. Here, Jane claims that the Sean John founder directed one of his cronies to sexually assault her. Doe even details a moment where she “recalls seeing Combs fully naked at one point and witnessing another man sodomizing him.”
A second unnamed woman claimed she was sexually assaulted twice—once by Combs and then by other men at the request of the embattled mogul. The subsequent lawsuit, filed by another Jane Doe, who appears to be a friend of the first victim, accused Combs of drugging and taking advantage of her at the same Trump Hotel penthouse. Doe claims that Diddy had one of the security guards rape her while he looked on.
Sean Combs sent out a statement to the outlet regarding the new accusations, referring to Buzbee’s lawsuits as “publicity stunts.”
“As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every new publicity stunt, even in response to claims that are facially ridiculous or demonstrably false,” the statement read. “Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone—man or woman, adult or minor.”
Irv Gotti reportedly suffers another stroke

Murder Inc. founder and mastermind Irv Gotti reportedly suffered a second, more severe stroke on Tuesday, Feb. 5, and is said to be in critical condition.
According to reports from Hip Hop News Uncensored and AllHIpHop.com, Gotti, 54, was raced to the hospital after the stroke, with conflicting reports as to the severity of the medical malady and his current condition.
Gotti has been saddled with health issues for years that can be traced back to his diabetes.
After initially refusing to confirm that he suffered his first stroke in early 2024, Gotti finally confirmed it through a representative. Photographs later surfaced of him walking with a cane and looking considerably slimmer.
Last August, the rep told Hot 97 : “Irv has been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to have a minor stroke over six months ago. He has since changed his diet to eating more healthy. He’s been successful in making a full recovery. Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life.”
That was last year though.
Gotti elaborated about his struggle with diabetes during an episode of the “Drink Champs” podcast. Gotti admitted that he failed to take his insulin consistently. He said his doctors also implored Gotti to change his diet and increase his exercise regimen, which he said he had adhered to, according to his rep.
In another interview, this time with AllHipHop.com, Gotti said, “Diabetes is deteriorating my body.”
Rumors are swirling furiously on social media, particularly X, that Gotti is in critical condition. None of these reports can be confirmed as Gotti’s inner circle has yet to address the media after multiple inquiries.
Gotti soared to international fame when he founded Murder Inc., towards the close of the previous century. The music label produced major stars like Ja Rule, Ashanti, and Charli Baltimore.
Teyana Taylor shares bold update on Dionne Warwick biopic
Teyana Taylor is “nervous” about her upcoming Dionne Warwick biopic as she reveals she has been given “a lot of creative control.” The project represents one of the most anticipated musical biopics of the decade, with early industry buzz already generating awards speculation.
Warwick, 85, personally chose the lookalike actress to portray her in the upcoming flick, and in an update on the progress of the production, the 34-year-old Coming 2 America star confessed it’s a “big job” and they are taking their time so it’s “perfect.” The casting decision has been widely praised by industry insiders and fans alike.
She told PEOPLE: “We have everything kind of set in stone and everything together. It was a little slowdown, of course, with the unfortunate things that have taken place. But everything is so up and running.” The production team has assembled some of Hollywood’s top talent behind the scenes.
“It’s still going and Ms. Dionne has so much career. So even trying to consolidate … I just want it to be perfect.” Warwick’s extensive catalog includes records that have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.
Aiming for perfection
She added: “I want this to be perfect and I want to sell her story and I just want everything to be perfect. But I’m in such a great space with it. We’re in a great space. We spend a lot of time together. So it’s just like, I’m super excited. It’s a big job. It’s a big job.” The pair have developed a close mentorship relationship throughout pre-production.
Taylor didn’t want to proceed unless Dionne felt “safe” emotionally. This attention to the legend’s well-being has set new standards for biographical productions.
She explained: “She feels so safe and that has been the most important thing for me. Her safety, mentally, emotionally, everything.” The production has implemented special protocols to ensure Warwick’s comfort throughout filming.
Noting that she has a far bigger role than just playing the music legend, she continued: “So I think that’s another reason why I took a little while because I needed to make sure it was in the right hands. She’s given me a lot of control, like a lot of creative control, so I’m taking on even a bigger job than just portraying her.” The project marks Taylor’s most significant creative endeavor to date.
“I have a lot of production work, directing work to do, a lot of different things like that so I’m just really making sure everything is perfect.” Industry veterans have praised Taylor’s comprehensive approach to the project.
Warwick previously said there is no one else that could portray her other than “triple threat” Teyana. Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column last year, Warwick gushed: “She is a triple threat, she sings, she dances and she is an actress. I have seen her films, I got to know her and as I got to know her I found that she was doing all of the research that she could find on me.” Their collaboration has become one of Hollywood’s most talked-about partnerships.
“She knows more about me than I know about myself.” The film will cover six decades of Warwick’s groundbreaking career in the music industry.
She added: “I personally chose her – based on a couple of photographs I found. One of her and one of me. We had them interposed together and I can’t think of anybody else who would ever do it.” The physical resemblance between the two artists has garnered significant media attention.
Warwick had teased the project back in 2021 although she had suggested that it was going to be a television series. The transition to feature film format has allowed for a more cinematic approach to storytelling.
The music legend told Entertainment Weekly: “(Teyana) is certainly a talented young lady with whom I’ve had the pleasure of interfacing. She’s very excited about the prospect of being involved, and she’s also going to be very, very much involved in directing it and putting together parts and parcel of how we see this going.” The production is expected to feature never-before-seen footage from Warwick’s personal archives.

What’s a dino flick without a few unexpected twists?
Zora’s mission gets complicated when her crew bumps into a family whose boating trip went south—literally.
After a nasty run-in with some aquatic dinos, they’re stranded on an island hiding a secret that’s been buried for decades.

Postal Service to resume accepting China shipments
The U.S. Postal Service has agreed to resume accepting shipments from China, less than 12 hours after announcing it would stop doing so
"Effective February 5, 2025, the Postal Service will continue accepting all international inbound mail and packages from China and Hong Kong Posts," it said in an updated statement Wednesday morning. "The USPS and Customs and Border Protection are working closely together to implement an efficient collection mechanism for the new China tariffs to ensure the least disruption to package delivery."
The Postal Service had earlier announced it would stop accepting packages from China, as well as Hong Kong, in the wake of the Trump administration's decision to impose a new round of 10% tariffs on all goods coming from the country.
Letters and flats were not affected by the initial announcement. While the Postal Service did not offer an explanation for the shipment halt, Trump ended a so-called "de minimis" exemption for Chinese goods worth less than $800 in making the tariff announcement.
A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson had earlier said China would take “necessary measures” to protect its companies, The Associated Press reported — urging the U.S. to “stop politicizing economic and trade issues and using them as a tool, and to stop unreasonably suppressing Chinese companies.”
Viacom sues Nick Cannon over ‘Bad vs. Wild’

Nick Cannon is facing a legal battle after Viacom International Inc. filed a lawsuit accusing him of assisting Zeus Network in copying his long-running MTV series, 'Wild 'N Out.'
According to AllHipHop, the lawsuit claims that Zeus’s 'Bad vs. Wild' is not merely similar to 'Wild 'N Out' but is essentially a direct reproduction of the show, including the same set design, format, and even Cannon as the host.
Viacom argues that Zeus blatantly infringed on its intellectual property. George W. Kroup, the attorney representing Viacom, asserts that Zeus intentionally copied key elements of 'Wild ‘N Out' to create 'Bad vs. Wild,' with full knowledge that it would infringe on Viacom’s copyrights. He also points out that Cannon’s role in the new show directly violates his contract with Viacom, which prohibits him from engaging in competing or imitative projects.
The lawsuit details how 'Bad vs. Wild' mimics the signature features of 'Wild 'N Out,' such as rival teams, live audience participation, celebrity guest appearances, DJ-driven scoring, and championship prizes. Viacom contends these elements are unmistakable trademarks of its brand. The lawsuit further accuses Zeus of marketing the show as a more extreme version of 'Wild ‘N Out,' using promotional phrases like “Wild ‘N Out on steroids.”
In addition to the alleged infringement, Viacom claims that the content of 'Bad vs. Wild' tarnishes the reputation of 'Wild 'N Out' by incorporating harmful and offensive elements. These include racial and gender stereotypes, explicit material, and glorified violence—issues that Viacom argues are far removed from the lighthearted humor that defines the original show.
The lawsuit also names several former 'Wild 'N Out' cast and crew members who now work with Zeus, claiming their involvement further blurs the line between the two shows and causes confusion for viewers. Viacom is seeking a permanent injunction to halt the production and distribution of 'Bad vs. Wild,' financial damages, and the return of any profits made from the show.
Lil Wayne says he's skipping the Super Bowl in his hometown, hints at something 'very special' coming
New Orleans native and Grammy-award-winning rapper Lil Wayne said in a social media post on Tuesday that he would not be attending Super Bowl LIX and instead teased that he was working on something "very special."
Lil Wayne made headlines when Los Angeles-based rapper Kendrick Lamar was announced as the Super Bowl halftime performer, with many saying he was "snubbed" for not being selected to take the field in his hometown.
The rapper even publicly expressed his feelings in an Instagram post nearly a week after Lamar was named the headliner. He said being overlooked “broke” him, adding that “I’m just trying to put myself back together.”
Over the years, Wayne has been vocal about his desire to perform during halftime of the NFL's championship game. It will be the second time Lamar will perform during the halftime show after he made a guest appearance with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and Eminem in 2022.
Wayne appeared upset in the video, where he said he had to muster up enough strength to express his thoughts "without breaking.”
“That hurt a whole lot,” he said. “I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a letdown, for automatically mentally putting myself in that position. I thought there was nothing better than that spot, on that stage, on that platform in my city.”
In a recent appearance on the Skip Bayless Show, Wayne cleared the air and said he spoke to Lamar and "wished him all the best."
In the days leading up to the Super Bowl, Wayne posted an Instagram story that started with him saying, "Y'all know I'm not going to be there this week."
"Shoutout to New Orleans, but I've been working on something very special. I've got something exciting coming for you," he said in the video,
Wayne said the surprise would come Thursday, Feb. 6.
"Until then? I'm just chillin'," he said.
Tamar Braxton Exposed For Owing $2.4 Million In Unpaid Taxes

Tamar Braxton is facing a whopping $2 million bill, with two major liens on her record.
Tamar's debts span multiple years, reaching $2.4 million. Her response? Negotiations and full compliance.
The Braxton family has a history of money problems, with siblings Toni and Towanda facing bankruptcy.
Hold onto your seats, folks—Tamar Braxton is in hot water with the IRS, and it’s a whopping $2 million mess! According to exclusive reports from In Touch, the singer and reality star is facing not one, but two major tax liens.
The first lien, which made its debut on July 13, 2023, reveals that Tamar, 47, allegedly owes an eye-popping $2,200,894.14. This staggering sum includes arrears for multiple years: $682,638.95 for 2015, $638,330.13 for 2016, $535,188.16 for 2017, $286,441.16 for 2020, and $58,295.74 for 2021.
And get this—the IRS has her listed address as a posh four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Atlanta, which she snagged in 2022 for a cool $1.3 million.
But the drama doesn’t stop there. A second lien hit the records on January 5, demanding $213,781 for Tamar’s 2022 taxes. When you add it all up, Tamar’s tax bill totals a staggering $2,414,675.72.
After In Touch reached out for comment, Tamar took to Instagram with a response that’s as smooth as ever: "Like many Americans, I was in negotiations with the IRS to resolve discrepancies from a few years. I want to clarify that I have been and still am, in full compliance and have recently reached an agreement with the IRS.”
Her post continued, “It is not uncommon when you have several companies and make a lot of revenue. Let’s move on to the next topic.”
The Braxton clan has had their share of financial woes over the years. Tamar’s older sister, Toni Braxton, is no stranger to money troubles she’s filed for bankruptcy twice. Toni’s first financial meltdown was in 1998, right after her messy split from Arista Records.
Even with over $188 million in record sales under her belt, she claimed her unfavorable contract left her broke. She went for round two in 2010, listing $18 million in debts and just $1.6 million in assets. Her debts were cleared in 2011.
Not to be outdone, Towanda Braxton, another sister, filed for bankruptcy in 2019. Her paperwork showed $277,000 in assets and $547,000 in liabilities. Among her debts was a $35,000 loan from Tamar, along with issues tied to her Georgia property and past landlord woes. A federal judge finally threw in the towel on this case in December 2022.
Toni Braxton may be one of the best-selling R&B singers of all time, but her royalty agreement has landed her in hot water.
Tamar herself initially burst into the limelight as a member of the R&B group The Braxtons, which she formed with her sisters in the early '90s. However, it was her solo career that truly made waves. Tamar’s breakout moment came with her 2013 debut album, Love and War, which received critical acclaim and commercial success.
Her sharp wit and larger-than-life personality made her a standout on reality TV, starting with Braxton Family Values in 2011. The show, which chronicled the lives and careers of Tamar and her sisters, became a hit and showcased her vibrant personality and drama-filled life.
In 2015, Tamar starred in her own spin-off, Tamar & Vince, alongside her then-husband Vince Herbert. She also made headlines in 2019 when she competed on Celebrity Big Brother.
As for Tamar’s ex-husband, Vince Herbert, he's been no stranger to legal drama either. Since their split in October 2017, Vince has been tangled up in several lawsuits. Recently, he was ordered to cough up $68,000 over an alleged jewelry debt and had to pay $3 million to Sony Music in a separate legal fight.
So, while Tamar’s dealing with her tax troubles, it’s clear that financial headaches run in the family!
Tim Gunn Almost Quit Project Runway After Learning About Their Ruthless Contracts For Contestants!
Project Runway has been a reality TV staple for many years. It first aired in 2004 and featured a group of aspiring fashion designers who competed against one another to create a fashion collection for New York Fashion Week, with the winner getting a cash prize, mentorship, and plenty of exposure.
With the exciting announcement that Project Runway will be returning later this year, fans are remembering the reality series' iconic mentor—Tim Gunn. For 16 seasons, Tim gave sound advice to the contestants and his "make it work" tagline will forever be a staple of the show.
Tim really wanted to see each one of these aspiring fashion designers succeed, even if he was not paid for his appearances in earlier seasons. In fact, he almost quit the show after learning that the contestant's contracts held some really fishy stipulations.
These 'Project Runway' designers prove that winning isn't everything, as they've gone on to have super successful careers after losing.
Tim Gunn is synonymous with Project Runway. Acting as a mentor for fashion designers who had big dreams of having their own fashion brand, Tim's job was to motivate these contestants and push them to their utmost potential.
It came as no surprise that Tim came to the defense of these contestants when he read just how ruthless their contracts for the show were. When the show first aired, it was owned by The Weinstein Company, which handled all the contestant's contracts. In an interview with Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson, Tim shared a story about a contestant unable to acquire his Project Runway designs because his contract forbade him.
Tim shared that this happened to Season 13 contestant Alexander Knox, who the mentor did not actually want on the show because he did not finish design school. "I said, what do you do? You win Season 13 and you go back to be a senior?" That's exactly what Alexander did.
When Tim met with Alexander after the season concluded, he told his former mentor that he wasn't sure what to do for his senior thesis. Tim believed it would be a great idea to use his designs from the show.
"Take the bright spots, the best moments in Season 13 and extrapolate, explore them further," Tim told the former contestant. Although it was a great idea, there was a setback.
Due to Alexander's contract with the show, he could not use his designs because they were now the property of the Weinstein Company. "We're not allowed to have access to anything we did on the show," Alexander told Tim. After hearing this, Tim not only warned the Weinstein Company that he was quitting the show, but was going to fight this stipulation in the contracts.
Tim was extremely unhappy with this revelation that Alexander told him. Because of this, he took action and wrote to the higher ups at the Weinstein Company, including adding his lawyer, and Project Runway's showrunner into the mix. After learning that what Alexander told him was true, Tim wrote back stating that he would quit the show. Although Tim believed he came across as polite in his letters, the higher ups believed he was trying to take control and wouldn't allow it.
"How dare you tell us how to operate the show?" Tim was told by the Weinstein Company execs.
Tim fought for weeks with the company and even his lawyer believed that he wouldn't win. However, the Weinstein Company finally agreed with Tim and shared that the contract would be changed for Season 14. This still wasn't enough for Tim. He wanted the new terms to be "retroactive" for the previous contenders in the last 13 seasons. Surprisingly, they allowed it and Tim returned to film Season 14.
Tim left Project Runway, along with host Heidi Klum, after Season 16 to star in another fashion competition show called Making the Cut.
But, that wasn't the end of it. While filming Project Runway: Junior, the show introduced three mentors from past Project Runway seasons. When Tim asked them how they felt knowing they now own their designs, he was shocked to hear not one of them received an email from the Weinstein Company.
It just so happened that the person working for the Weinstein Company was there on set, and Tim approached them wanting answers. After that person told Tim that "letters are going out this week," he threw out a few expletives and couldn't believe they had lied.
While some have gone on to great fame and success, not every winner of 'Project Runway' still works in the fashion industry.
The first-ever winner of Project Runway was Jay McCarroll. His winnings consisted of $100,000 to start his own fashion line. However, after reading the terms and agreements in his contract, Jay forfeited the cash prize.
According to the New York Post, Jay was asked about why he decided not to take the grand prize by the Washington Post, and stated that he could not reveal his exact reasons, but that it had something to do with there being "too many strings" attached.
In Tim's interview on Really Famous he revealed that Jay did not take the $100,000 prize because of what was stated in his contract. The two met to go over the contract and after reading it, Tim looked up at Jay and told him, "You can't sign this." The contract stated that any earnings Jay made from that point on, 15% of it would go to Miramax, which was owned by the Weinstein Company.
"15% of his design work, his teaching work, if he worked at McDonald's, it would be 15%, forever."
Tim expressed that he was "proud" that Jay refused to pretty much sign his life away and that it was a huge "humiliation" for Miramax. Tim threatened the company that he would not return, and they changed the contract rules.
Beyonce Defended By Whoopi Goldberg Following Controversial Best Country Album Win At Grammys 2025

Whoopi Goldberg has fiercely defended Beyonce Knowles' Grammy win after a Fox News pundit criticized the singer's victory in the best country album category.
On Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle", Raymond Arroyo called Beyonce's Grammy win a "ridiculous outcome." Arroyo claimed that the singer did not deserve the award and country artists were "not happy."
"I'm gonna put this in some context Laura: Dolly Parton has 10 Grammys. Frank Sinatra had 11 Grammys. Beyonce has 35. How is that possibly commensurate with that talent? I mean, come on," the critic said, mockingly adding that Beyonce only won because "Lady Gaga's cat sitter votes for best reggae and best country albums."
On "The View," Whoopi Goldberg took aim at Arroyo's claims. She pointed out that Grammy voters must be in the music industry, debunking the idea of unqualified individuals voting. Goldberg also highlighted the expansion of Grammy categories over the years, from 28 in 1959 to 94 in the present day.
Goldberg emphasized that Beyoncé had earned her win fairly. She cited an example from the 1959 Grammys, where Frank Sinatra received six nominations but only won for his album cover, not his singing. "You can't do that. She earned it," Goldberg declared.
Goldberg further criticized Arroyo, "You want to hold on to country music like white people didn't also buy her country album. Come on, man! People voted for it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. Same with the Oscars. Sit down! … Music does not have the issues you have. Music is about the people."
With her latest Grammy-winning album "Cowboy Carter", Beyonce became the first Black woman to win Best Country Album. It also grabbed the top honor, Album of the Year, marking the first time she got the title in her long music career that spanned decades.
Lady Gaga Dances Up A Storm In 'Abracadabra' Music Video
Hot on heels of her Grammy win, Lady GaGa unveiled the music video for "Abracadabra," a single from her album "Mayhem." The video pays homage to Gaga's earlier hit "Alejandro" through its color scheme, dance routines, and religious imagery.
The video features a dance battle between the light and dark sides within Gaga, represented by the character Mayhem. Gaga's dancers hoist her high above their heads in a similar fashion to the "Alejandro" video, and crosses are used throughout as a symbol of religious conflict.

Gaga also emphasized the importance of LGBTQ community in the "Abracadabra" video, featuring queer ballroom artists like Honey Balenciaga. "Category is: dance or die," the singer dressed in red declared in the opening scene before the dance mayhem begins.
Lady Gaga is set to release her new album on March 7. While the LP marks her return to her pop roots, she said it's actually an "utter chaos" with a mix of "90s alternative, electro-grunge, Prince and Bowie melodies, guitar and attitude, funky bass lines, French electronic dance, and analog synths."
As a prelude to her new creation, she released a collaboration with Bruno Mars, "Die With a Smile", that earned the duo a Golden Gramophone for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
"My 14th Grammy award is a very special one. Being a songwriter, all I want to do is tell stories that touch peoples hearts. Telling this story with Bruno about love is truly a piece of my soul—love is what we all need right now. Thank you little monsters - wherever you go that's where I'll follow," GaGa gushed on Instagram.
Marcus Jordan Told Cops 'I'm Michael Jordan's Son' Before Arrest For DUI And Cocaine Possession

Early Tuesday morning, February 4, Marcus Jordan was arrested in Florida under charges of driving under the influence, possession of cocaine, and resisting arrest without violence. The incident occurred in Orange County when officers from the Maitland Police Department found his blue Lamborghini SUV stuck on railroad tracks near Greenwood Road and Mechanic Street.
According to the police report, officers encountered Jordan around 1:14 A.M. with his vehicle's headlights still on. The Lamborghini's tires were buried in the dirt and rocks from spinning repeatedly on the tracks. Marcus Jordan, visibly disoriented, claimed he had made a wrong turn and required assistance to get his car off the tracks.
The situation escalated when officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the car, coupled with Jordan's slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Jordan admitted to consuming alcoholic drinks at multiple venues, including a gentleman's club in Winter Park and Casselberry area, before getting behind the wheel.
Before his arrest, he was seen speeding away from cops, making the wrong turn, and getting his car stuck on the railroad tracks. "I'm Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan's son," he told the officers in the footage. "I appreciate your concerns, but I am not inebriated.
Despite insisting he was under the legal limit, a field sobriety test led officers to arrest him on DUI charges.
Adding to his troubles, a search revealed a small plastic bag with a white substance in Jordan's pocket, which tested positive for cocaine. Although initially resistant - refusing to exit the car and obstructing officers' attempts to close the patrol car door - Jordan was eventually brought to the DUI detention center and then transferred to the Orange County Jail. He was held on a $4,000 bond.
This incident adds another chapter to Marcus Jordan's run-ins with the law - he had a previous arrest in 2012 for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in Omaha, Nebraska. The arrest comes at a time when Jordan was under media scrutiny for his past relationships, including with Larsa Pippen and Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole Murphy.
Upon his release from jail, Marcus Jordan refused to speak with reporters, keeping his hood up as he left in another Lamborghini. The Maitland Police Department released more than an hour of bodycam footage showing Jordan's initial interactions with officers, further highlighting the night's chaotic events.
This latest run-in with the law serves as a stark reminder of the potential consequences of impaired driving and drug possession, no matter one's background or notoriety. The legal proceedings ahead will determine the next steps for Marcus Jordan after this troubling incident.
2025 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game Rosters Announced
The NBA and ESPN have unveiled the rosters for the 2025 Ruffles® NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
On Tuesday, the NBA announced which celebrities would be participating in this year’s festivities. Two of the biggest personalities in streaming and online content creation, Kai Cenat and Druski, will play on opposite sides. The same goes for Grammy-nominated musicians Noah Kahan and Shaboozey.
A couple of celebs who might have an advantage over their competition are WNBA stars Allisha Gray and Kayla Thornton. Gray is a two-time WNBA All-Star with the Atlanta Dream, and Thornton just won the 2024 WNBA title with the New York Liberty.
Former Golden State Warriors star Baron Davis will lace up his sneakers once more as he takes the floor, and he will be opposed by another former Warrior in NBA champion Matt Barnes.
The star power isn’t limited to the players either because both team has a pair of famous coaches. One team will be coached by MLB all-time home runs leader and former San Francisco Giant Barry Bonds, as well as rapper 2 Chainz. The other side will be led by Pro Football Hall of Famer and San Francisco 49ers icon Jerry Rice, who will be assisted by influencer Khaby Lame.
