#RHOA: Nene Leakes’ New Talk Show Is Here
The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star shared the news on Wednesday, giving fans a sneak peek into the conversations to come. Carlos King is among the inaugural guests, with the two covering topics on love, tea, and much more. Leakes also co-hosts “Me and My Homegirl” with Sierra Gates and previously held a two-show podcast special with former “Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel. However, “The Nene Leakes Show” marks her first solo effort.

Leakes joins a growing list of Bravolebrities entering the content space. Gizelle Bryant and her former “Real Housewives of Potomac” co-star Robyn Dixon host the “Reasonably Shady” podcast. Since exiting “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Teddi Mellencamp has teamed up with “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Tamra Judge for their “Two Ts in a Pod” show. While each woman offers engaging discussions, Leakes has been one of the most in-demand Bravo personalities to enter this space. Her chances of success are high, especially among her longtime fans who miss seeing her on television.

As viewers embark on this new journey with Leakes, here are some key topics we hope she touches on in her new series:
Often referred to as the woman who built “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Leakes surely has opinions on the highly anticipated Season 16. Her commentary on the drama would be both entertaining and insightful.

From the previews of “The Nene Leakes Show,” it’s evident that her love life will be a major topic. Leakes’ perspective on dating would offer valuable insight. She was previously married to Gregg Leakes for a total of 22 years until his passing in 2021. She later dated designer Nyonisela Sioh on and off for about two years. Hopefully, she will share lessons learned from both relationships.

No matter what direction “The Nene Leakes Show” takes, it’s likely to pull in impressive numbers.

Angie Stone has reached a new milestone on multiple Billboard charts following her death on March 1.
Her debut solo single, “No More Rain (In This Cloud),” has stormed to No. 1 on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart. It’s her first No. 1 on this chart and her first of three entries.

According to Billboard, “No More Rain” received 2.1 million official on-demand streams in the U.S. during the week of her passing, up
“No More Rain,” produced by Stone, samples Gladys Knight & The Pips’ 1973 classic “Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye).”
Stone co-wrote the soul-stirring song with Gordon Chambers and Bert Williams. It appears on her debut album, Black Diamond. It’s Stone’s longest-running No. 1 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart, spending 10 weeks atop the chart.

Right behind “No More Rain” on the R&B Digital Song Sales chart is “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” at No. 2 and “Brotha” at No. 5. The latter two songs appear on Stone’s 2001 album, Mahogany Soul.
“Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” which samples The O’Jays’ “Back Stabbers,” was written and produced by the late Andrea Martin and Ivan Matias, with additional production by Swizz Beatz.

Meanwhile, the uplifting anthem “Brotha” was co-written by Stone, Harold Lilly, Jake and the Phatman (Glenn Standridge and Robert C. Ozuna), and Raphael Saadiq, who also produced it.
Elsewhere on Billboard, “No More Rain (In This Cloud)” debuts at No. 15 on the Digital Song Sales chart, while “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” opens at No. 20. It marks Stone’s first two entries on this chart.

The two songs plus “Brotha” also appear on the R&B/Hip-Hop Song Sales chart:

“Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” No. 6 debut
“Brotha,” No. 14 debut

#HipHopNews: Rick Ross Drags 50 Cent's Dead Mom Into Beef, Disses Tony Yayo & 'Auntie' Murda
Rick Ross has viciously hit back at 50 Cent, bringing his rap rival’s long-deceased mother into their beef.
In a lengthy video rant posted to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday (March 12), Rozay did not hold back on his longtime nemesis and his crew.
“I didn’t know that they say I was the only person that fucked 50 Cent up. I ain’t know that, I’ma be honest. Tony Yayo told 50 Cent himself — y’all can Google it. Tony Yayo said, ‘I wouldn’t do that if I was [him],'” he said, referencing the G-Unit rapper’s recent comments about 50’s feuds with Ross, Big Meech and others.

“‘Cause Tony Yayo know them n-ggas ain’t got no money! Come on, man. Look at Tony Yayo and Auntie Murda — them n-ggas need facials. Old n-ggas whose skin ain’t even right, boy.”
Ross continued clowning Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, saying: “Them n-ggas scared bad, man. You see that n-gga Auntie Murda? N-gga ain’t never killed nothing. That n-gga need a facial so bad. When I be seeing them blackheads on them n-ggas’ skin. Damn! Them n-ggas doing bad.”

He then turned his attention back to the G-Unit general: “But look, 50. Boy, I see you struggling making that G-Unit Film Studio out there in Louisiana where the cheapest land at. You thought you was gon’ be able to do it and get them loans.”
“What’s wrong? What’s taking so long?” he added. “You ain’t even build the G-Unit Studio yet. That might be why when I stood next to [Big] Meech yo knees buckled. Put your back against the wall. Poor n-gga, you a poor hustler [laughs].”

The MMG mogul then referenced 50’s late mother Sabrina Jackson, who died in a house fire when he was a kid: “I know you wanna make your momma one of them walking stars they put down there. Fuck how your momma live, n-gga. Make her her own walking star.”
Ross’ tirade did not end there as he also threatened to buy Fif’s master recordings.
“50, who owns your masters? I’ll buy your masters,” he sneered. “You better shut up. I will buy your masters.”

Rick Ross’ venomous remarks come shortly after 50 Cent mocked him for being Bow Wow’s “opener” on the Millennium Tour.
Rozay is billed as a “special guest” on the nationwide trek, which is co-headlined by Omarion and Trey Songz and also features performances from the likes of Ray J, Bobby V and former Pretty Ricky singer Pleasure P.
In an Instagram post earlier this week, 50 wrote alongside a flyer for the tour: “[ninja emoji]’s get quiet when they gotta open for Bow Wow, (BOSS) HE not a surprise guest he can’t sell a ticket. LOL.”

The Queens, New York native further jabbed Ross by calling him a “sissy” and claiming that he has to rely on his collaborations with friend-turned-foe Drake to win over crowds on the road.
The pair’s long-standing beef has reignited in recent weeks after Rozay’s aforementioned link-up with Black Mafia Family co-founder Big Meech, who was released from prison last year and who inspired 50’s BMF TV series.
50 previously dragged family members into the feud when he posted a video of Big Meech’s son Lil Meech accompanying Ross’ daughter Toie Roberts to prom, as well as her sweet 16 party in 2018.

#RIP: Democratic Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva of Arizona dies at 77
Democratic U.S. Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva of Arizona, who championed environmental protection during his 12 terms in Congress, died Thursday of complications from cancer treatments, his office said.
Grijalva, who was 77, had risen to chair the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee and was the top Democrat on the committee until earlier this year. He had been absent from Congress as he underwent cancer treatment in recent months.

Grijalva’s office said in a statement, “From permanently protecting the Grand Canyon for future generations to strengthening the Affordable Care Act, his proudest moments in Congress have always been guided by community voices.”

Another Democratic House member, Rep. Sylvester Turner of Texas, died last week from health issues.
Grijalva, the son of a Mexican immigrant, was first elected to the House in 2002. Known as a liberal leader, he led the Congressional Progressive Caucus in 2008 and dedicated much of his career to working on environmental causes on the Natural Resources Committee. He stepped down from that position this year, after announcing that he planned to retire rather than run for reelection in 2026.

Grijalva had announced in April last year that he had been diagnosed with cancer, but would be able to continue his work. Despite missing hundreds of House votes, he sought reelection and won easily in one of the most solidly Democratic districts in Arizona.

The seat will remain vacant until a replacement is selected in a special election later this year.
The Democratic primary is likely to be a fierce battle between allies of Grijalva, a longtime Southern Arizona power broker who led an influential bloc of progressive elected officials, and a more moderate faction. Possible contenders include his daughter, Adelita Grijalva, a member of the Pima County Board of Supervisors, and Tucson Major Regina Romero, one of Grijalva’s longtime allies.

Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego of Arizona, who served in the House until last year, said in a statement that “Congressman Grijalva was not just my colleague, but my friend.”

“As another Latino working in public service, I can say from experience that he served as a role model to many young people across the Grand Canyon State. He spent his life as a voice for equality,” Gallego added.
Grijalva started out as a community organizer in Tucson and served on the local school board for years before being elected the Pima County Board of Supervisors. He resigned from that post in 2002 to seek office in what was then Arizona’s newly created 7th Congressional District.

Grijalva prided himself on representing what he considered the underdogs, those without a voice.
A member of the House Natural Resources Committee for more than two decades, he worked on issues that ranged from securing water supplies for drought-stricken parts of Arizona and the West to securing funding for the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund, which safeguards natural areas and provides recreation opportunities to the public.

He also played a key role in writing the National Landscape Conservation System Act and the Federal Lands Restoration Act, which were passed and signed by President Barack Obama.
In recent years, he also led advocacy in Congress for the creation of a new national monument near the Grand Canyon. It was part of an effort to protect the area from uranium mining and to acknowledge repeated calls by Native American tribes that sought to protect more of their ancestral homelands.

He also opposed plans to develop a major copper mine in southern Arizona.
Rep. David Schweikert, a Republican and fellow Arizonan, said on the social platform X that Grijalva “was always very kind to me — he had a great sense of humor. As a fellow animal lover, we often found ourselves working together on animal protection issues.”

Angel Reese And Other WNBA Players Could Go On Strike If League Doesn’t Meet Their Demands

Angel Reese is signaling that a WNBA league-wide strike could be on the horizon if player demands go unmet. Never one to shy away from speaking her mind, the All-Star made her position clear on a recent episode of her Unapologetically Angel podcast.
“I need to be in the meetings because I’m hearing that if [the league] don’t give us what we want, we’re sitting out,” the 22-year-old declared. She was joined on the show by fellow WNBA player Dijonai Carrington, who’s also served as the union representative for the Connecticut Sun representative.

“That’s a possibility, for real,” the Dallas Wings player agreed.
The financial realities Reese and her peers face have long been a point of discussion in and outside of the league. Reese has addressed her low WNBA salary in the past and is set to earn $74,909 next season. Upon entering the league, Reese signed a four-year rookie contract worth $324,383 to play in the same WNBA that secured a $2.2 billion media rights deal in July 2024 to allow games to be aired live on Disney, NBC, and Amazon for the next 11 years.

WNBA Player’s Association Executive Director Terri Carmichael Jackson addressed the players’ mission in an October statement. “The players made the decision to opt out of the last CBA to realign the business and save the league from its own limitations,” she stated. “Today, with a stronger foundation and new investments flowing in, they’re opting out again — this time to fully professionalize the league, secure proper wages, improve working conditions and lock in meaningful benefits.”

The disparities between the WNBA and its male counterpart, the NBA, are stark.
Bloomberg reported that the WNBA generated $200,000,000 in revenue last season, with only 9.3 percent allocated to player salaries. On the flip-side, NBA players receive a full 50 percent of league revenue — a share that amounted to a staggering $5.3 billion in 2023 alone
For many WNBA athletes, financial stability requires playing overseas during the offseason — an option that Unrivaled, a new alternative league co-founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, is hoping will help bridge the financial gap.

Offering a nine-week season and an average salary of $250,000 for its 36 participating players, Unrivaled is meant to present a lucrative alternative to international play.

Reese, who has committed to the new league, has been forthright about her WNBA earnings. “I just hope y’all know, the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all. I don’t even think it pays one of my bills. Literally,” she stated bluntly in an Instagram Live session last year.
While Reese has leveraged her star power to secure endorsement deals and a build a robust personal brand, many of her peers do not have the same financial cushion. Perhaps its star players playing for another league can induce the WNBA will rev up their engines to make change.

Anika Noni Rose ‘deeply Disappointed’ Amid Tiana Series Cancellation

Rose encouraged fans to show their utmost support for the forthcoming "Tiana Special Event" inspired by "The Princess and the Frog".
The voice of Disney’s Princess Tiana, Anika Noni Rose, is speaking out following news of the Tiana series cancellation on Disney+.
“I, too, am deeply disappointed that the continuation of Tiana’s journey in series form has been cut short,” Rose wrote in a March 11 Instagram post. She expressed to fans that the series, which was announced in 2020, “was a long time coming, and a lot of beautiful work was put into it by all of the creatives involved.”

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ announcement to shelve what was planned as a musical featuring Rose as Princess Tiana from Disney’s 2009 film “The Princess and the Frog” comes amid Pixar’s decision earlier in March to pull the plug on creating long-form streaming content. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a spokesperson revealed that the cancellation is part of a shift in business strategy at Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Although Rose is hurt that her opportunity to reprise her role in the series as Disney’s first Black princess has been cut short, she is hopeful that fans will show their utmost support for the upcoming “Tiana Special Event.” She urged her fans to encourage everyone they know to tune in when the program airs. She left fans with a message to “show your love and your desire in the numbers. Make that desire an undeniable and real thing.” The actress promised fans that the team that has created the magic of Princess Tiana over the years will continue to deliver the “most beautiful content” possible.

Instagram followers promised to show up on their end and rallied in support of Rose’s challenge to them to run the numbers up when the forthcoming special is released. Princess Tiana fans can look forward to the short special inspired by “The Princess and the Frog,” featuring all-new storytelling.
“I’m so grateful to all who have worked to bring the Tiana series to life and all who continue to love her into existence and beyond,” Rose captioned her slideshow of thoughts. In addition to expressing gratitude to loyal fans, she also thanked the team of directors, writers, animators, and sound.

Keke Palmer Asks Claressa Shields When She’s “Knocking Remy Ma Out” Over Papoose Scandal
When Remy Ma & Papoose exposed each other for their alleged affairs last year, Claressa Shields challenged the femcee to a boxing match.
Late last year, Remy Ma and Papoose's relationship blew up, as they both hopped online to put each other on blast. The femcee accused the father of her child of cheating on her with professional boxer Claressa Shields, even exposing some of their text messages. Papoose was quick to fire back, referencing his wife's rumored affair with fellow battle rapper Eazy The Block Captain.

Amid all of this, Shields jumped in to challenge Remy to a boxing match. While she appeared to only be joking, social media users took this narrative and ran with it. "Claressa Shields vs @RealRemyMa Feb 2nd! Come get yo a** whooped crash out!!" she tweeted at the time. Now, during a recent appearance on Baby This Is Keke Palmer, she was asked to provide fans with an update. “When are you knocking Remy Ma out?” Palmer asked.

The athlete laughed upon hearing the question, but made it clear that she never had any real intentions of hurting Remy. According to her, she didn't even see the drama coming, and was simply looking to promote her biopic The Fire Inside. “Listen, I woke up that morning just as shocked as everybody. Like, what the hell? Oh, my God. What’s going on? I’m like, ‘I want to promote the movie. What is this?'” she explained. “So, you know, they say all publicity is good publicity.”

“I have to tell myself, like, this comes with the territory,” she also added. “So I think it’s not about the problem. It’s about how you handle the problem. And I think I handled it very well.” Last month, Shields celebrated Valentine's Day with Papoose in Hawaii, seemingly confirming that they're an item. They both showed off their adventures on social media. At the time of writing, Remy has yet to address Shields' latest comments about the debacle.

R. Kelly Remixes Chris Brown's "Residuals," Says He Doesn't 'Deserve' Prison

R. Kelly is the latest singer to provide his verse to Chris Brown's "Residuals" after the likes of Mario, Jacob Latimore, and others.
Despite currently spending time behind bars, R. Kelly found the time to make a remix of Chris Brown's "Residuals" over a prison phone call.
The disgraced 58-year-old singer-songwriter and convicted sex offender participated in Tank's challenge to have artists contribute their own verse to Chris Brown's 2023 track, which appeared on the deluxe edition of his album 11:11. Frequent R. Kelly collaborator Rodney East shared the remix on Instagram, and stressed that it was the real deal and not artificial intelligence.

"They're still selling my music, making all this money / Don't even send shit to my folks for commissary," Kelly sings on the remix, which can be heard below. "Though I'm in this place, I know I don't deserve this / There's questions on my mind."
In the track, he also asks "who's getting all my checks" as he's behind bars. "Where is my money at? / Tell me who, who's getting paid for my grind? / All of that's supposed to be mine?" he sings. "Who gave you 34 years? / Who made you billions of dollars? / Who put the R in R&B? / I swear that it's killing me in my cell, making me holler, dammit."

The remix comes shortly after R. Kelly made an appearance on the Inmate Tea with A&P podcast, during which he claimed he's written as many as 25 albums during his time in prison.

"Well, singing is a beautiful disease that’s incurable," he said when asked if he's kept working on new music behind bars. "That’s not gonna happen, stopping singing. I don’t care where I’m at. I’m always singing, I’m always writing. I’ve written, like, 25 albums since I been in here, and right now I’m just working on getting out… I’m using patience as a tactic right now."
In 2022, R. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Last year, his daughter Buku Abi, born Joanne Kelly, alleged that she was sexually abused by her father.

Michelle Obama And Brother Craig Robinson Discuss Friendship With Issa Rae In First Podcast Episode
Michelle Obama and her older brother Craig Robinson have introduced the first guest on their IMO (In My Opinion) podcast: the incomparable actress, writer, and producer Issa Rae. In this episode, Issa joined the siblings to talk about the expansive topic of friendship, specifically about how to maintain them and the complexities of them.
Diving deeper into Issa’s opinions on the topic, the co-hosts asked the Insecure creator about her personal support system, opinions on high and low-maintenance friendships, and other aspects. When asked about the kind of friend she believes she is, Issa admitted that she’s questioned if she’s a “bad friend.”

“I think about you, but I might not text you to be like, ‘Hey I just want to make sure you’re okay,'” Issa admitted. “But you should know that I would hope you would call me if you weren’t okay and know that I would show up for you and be there for you.” She added, “I’m not a considerate friend in the way that i would like to be. It’s like one of my biggest flaws.” She also explained that because she is “so work focused” she doesn’t reach out to her friends as much, although she’s always thinking of them.

Elsewhere in the convo, the co-hosts asked about the right time to “end a friendship,” to which Issa shared a story about her most “painful” friendship breakup.
“I had a friend who I thought I was going to be friends with forever,” she began. “But she went through two major milestones — kind of traumatic milestones really young — she got married when we were in college and divorced when none of my other friends had experienced those things. And as a friend I didn’t know how to handle that. That was actually strike two, on my part, for her. I couldn’t be there for her like she needed me to.”

Issa’s openness on friendship comes almost a year after her former co-star and friend, Amanda Seales, claimed that Issa wasn’t “empowering” her during their time on set for Insecure. In a 2024 viral interview with Shannon Sharpe, the comedian and actress alleged that Issa “didn’t feel like I deserved to be protected. But that was my experience. And nonetheless, I have still always protected her because I felt like it was my responsibility to do so. But it is not.”
To counter that, Issa joined The Breakfast Club last September where she said admitted that she’s never going to work with “anyone who goes on a podcast and talks sh*t” about her again. Although she didn’t mention any names, it was assumed that she was speaking about Seales.

Mase, Lil' Kim, and Gloria Carter Attend Funeral for The Notorious B.I.G.'s Mother Voletta Wallace

Mase, Lil Kim, Faith Evans, and Jay-Z's mother Gloria Carter were among those in attendance for the funeral of Voletta Wallace, mother of The Notorious B.I.G., in New York City on Wednesday.
According to TMZ Hip Hop, the funeral was held in Frank Campbell Funeral Chapel, the same funeral home where the service for the late Brooklyn rapper took place in 1997.

Diddy's son Christian "King" Combs, as well as Christopher Jordan "C.J." Wallace, Biggie's son with Evans, and T'yanna Wallace, his daughter with high school sweetheart Jan Jackson, were also seen arriving for the service.

All attendees were required to check in with security guards to ensure they were on the approved guest list, as reported by Rolling Stone.
Wallace passed away last month in Pennsylvania where she was under hospice care. She was 72.

Following Biggie's death, Voletta kept the memory of the rapper's legacy alive with the 2009 biopic Notorious, which she served as a producer. She appeared on the 1999 posthumous album Born Again. Wallace oversaw the hip-hop legend's soaring estate, which is estimated at $160 million.

Jessica Simpson's Sobriety Under Scrutiny After Slurring Video
Jessica Simpson, 44, ignited a flurry of concerns among fans after posting a video to her Instagram while en route to the 2025 South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. The video, intended to give a casual update, instead drew questions regarding Simpson's "slurring" speech.
In the clip, she announced, "Hey everybody, it's Jessica Simpson. We just landed in Austin, and right now I'm going to wait in line at Enterprise. This is not an ad, but I'm getting a rental car."

Simpson, dressed in a striking blue faux fur jacket over a cheetah print outfit with silver accessories, seemed unaware that her speech pattern had fans questioning her sobriety status.
The speculation arose from comments pointing out that Simpson appeared to be "slurring" her words. Some fans even jokingly suggested she had a drink during the flight, despite Simpson's well-documented sobriety journey.

One fan commented, "Someone had a cocktail on the plane lol," while another reminisced, "Remember in Newlyweds when she spoke like a normal girl?"
Addressing a similar occurrence from 2022, Simpson firmly denied any relapse into drinking, asserting her dedication to sobriety, which she began in October 2017.
Simpson's struggle with alcohol addiction is no secret. The "Dukes of Hazzard" star has been open about how she was "killing herself with all the drinking and pills," but found a new sense of self and clarity after giving up alcohol.

In a poignant Instagram post from 2023, she shared an "unrecognizable" photo from the peak of her addiction with the caption, "This person in the early morning of Nov 1, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself." She emphasized that quitting alcohol allowed her to tackle traumas head-on and reclaim her self-respect.

Currently, Simpson is navigating her separation from husband Eric Johnson. She's channeling her experiences into her music, with a new EP titled "Nashville Canyon" set for release on March 21. The second part will follow in early summer 2025.
This comeback project includes a track called "Leave," which seemingly addresses her rocky marriage. The lyrics suggest infidelity, adding a raw and gritty narrative to her musical repertoire.

Wendy Williams' Guardian Speaks Out Amid Claims Of 'Elder Abuse' And 'Luxury Prison'
The saga of Wendy Williams, the charismatic former host of "The Wendy Williams Show," continues to unfold with new developments and conflicting narratives.
Williams has been voicing her frustration with what she describes as a "prison" environment in her New York City assisted living facility, prompting a strong rebuttal from her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey's attorney.

Wendy Williams, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in early 2024, has been under court-ordered guardianship since 2022. Her allegations have painted a bleak picture of her current living conditions, including claims that she isn't allowed visitors and must seek permission to access amenities.

Williams' representative highlighted these issues in a call to "Good Day New York," where she detailed the restrictions imposed on her in the fifth-floor memory unit.
Morrissey's lawyer responded publicly, disputing Williams' characterizations as "untrue, inaccurate, incomplete or misleading." According to the attorney, Williams "receives excellent medical care" at the facility, which boasts a spa, a workout room, excellent food, a dining room, and outside terraces.
Additionally, the attorney emphasized that Williams can call and see her family members whenever she desires, noting her recent trips to Florida for her son Kevin Hunter Jr.'s college graduation and her father's birthday.

Despite these assertions, sources allege that one of Williams' trips was initially denied by a judge and only approved after the premier of the "Saving Wendy" documentary.
Furthermore, while the legal team insists on the quality of care Williams is receiving, she has voiced strong opposition, even going so far as to drop a note reading "Help! Wendy!!" from her window, following which she was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital for a cognitive test which she reportedly passed with flying colors.

Following the welfare check by cops, the guardianship is reportedly now being investigated as "elder abuse."
The legal dispute also touches on financial aspects. Morrissey's attorney mentioned that the guardian has been working without pay since 2022 and has only received one payment of less than $30,000 for services rendered. This claim forms part of their argument against what they perceive as misleading information about the guardianship's operation.

As Wendy Williams seeks to terminate her guardianship, the court's decision remains a pivotal factor in her future. Until then, the public remains divided, and the media scrutiny continues to place both Williams' health and autonomy, along with her guardian's role, under the microscope. Only time will tell how this dramatic chapter in Wendy Williams' life will conclude.

While Annie and David weren’t initially sure if they wanted to have children together, she revealed she had a change of heart after she met her nephew in 2023. They ultimately agreed that they would try to conceive, and David even underwent a vasectomy reversal.

In January, Annie and David announced that they had begun their “major journey” to become pregnant and she had started undergoing IVF. “We look forward to the next steps and will keep you posted. They were absolutely amazing,” David explained to his social media followers about the decision. “Time to head back to Arizona.”

By June, Annie revealed that “the embryo transfer was successful.” After she thanked her doctor for being so “amazing” and helping make her “dreams come true,” she thanked “everyone for your love and support.”
“The most important person in my heart and my life is my husband David sweet potato king thank you so much,” she continued in the Instagram caption. “Thank you @hrcfertility and @hrcfertilityembryology and all the nurses, Angels, Michelle and everyone, you guys are awesome people and so kind. Thank you so very much. Form today everything will be in God hands and I will do my best for you ‘My Child.’”
They continued to keep their fans in the loop by sharing another update about her IVF journey in March. “The emotional roller coaster of IVF is hard to articulate. We will know in the next week if the embryo has in fact become a baby,” the reality star wrote in the caption while thanking their fans for their support. “We will update as we know. I thank all of the providers and everyone who have been involved with us since January when we began this journey.”

After they announced their pregnancy, Annie and David shared several updates about their journey on social media. They gave fans a glimpse into their baby shower in October. “We had such an amazing time at the baby shower,” they captioned photos from the special occasion. “Thank you to everyone who was able to make the party and to everyone who has sent us their thoughts, love and gifts for the baby.”
In November, she revealed that her husband spoiled her by bringing stuffed animals to a doctor’s appointment. “After my Dr appointment he got me a very cute animals,” she captioned a clip of David holding a stuffed monkey and stuffed bear.

Fans first got to know Annie and David when they made their reality TV debut during season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? They quickly became fan favorites and they went on to document their love story on David & Annie: After the 90 Days beginning in January 2022.

*Legendary R&B singer Gladys Knight had to cancel her performance in Florida on Saturday night after falling ill backstage.
According to TMZ, the 80-year-old music icon was battling the flu before the show and received medical treatment in Florida. She was released later that night.

“Tonight’s performance by Gladys Knight was cancelled due to illness,” a Florida Theater statement said. “Ms Knight and another member of her staff were taken ill backstage, very suddenly, and at the last minute, which necessitated the sudden cancellation of the show. We hope to reschedule the show, but it’s too early to know about that… we should know more early next week.“

Beyoncé Has No Plans to Return to Acting, Says Tina Knowles
*Beyoncé has captivated audiences on both stage and screen, but according to her mother, Tina Knowles, her days as a film actress are behind her.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on March 7, Knowles reflected on her daughter’s past film work, sharing a clip of Beyoncé’s performance as Etta James in “Cadillac Records” (2008). “This is still one of my favorite movies, and it makes me miss the fact that my child decided not to continue with movies,” she wrote.

Beyoncé made her acting debut in the 2001 TV movie “Carmen: A Hip Hopera” before appearing in “Austin Powers in Goldmember” (2002), “The Fighting Temptations” (2003), “The Pink Panther” (2006), “Dreamgirls” (2006), and “Obsessed” (2009).  She has also lent her voice to Queen Tara in the animated film “Epic” (2013) and portrayed Nala in Disney’s “The Lion King” (2019) as well as the prequel, “Mufasa: The Lion King”(2024).

Praising her daughter’s performance in “Cadillac Records,” Knowles added, “She killed it in this movie. And she so unselfishly donated her salary to the Phoenix House.”
Phoenix House is a nonprofit organization that supports individuals in addiction recovery. Beyoncé reportedly contributed her $4 million paycheck from the movie to the foundation.

The multi-Grammy-winning artist is preparing for her Cowboy Carter tour, but may be facing unexpected ticket sale challenges, NewsNation reports.
Despite the album’s success—topping the country charts and earning her a Grammy for Album of the Year—her upcoming tour has yet to sell out any shows. Tickets remain available across all dates, according to Ticketmaster and StubHub, NewsNation reports.

The issue is particularly noticeable in the U.K., where The Times reported that Ticketmaster anticipated a rush for tickets that never materialized. In the U.S., economic factors may be at play, as many fans spent heavily on her last tour and on Taylor Swift tickets.
“Her fanbase did not like Cowboy Carter—they were not impressed,” a music industry insider said. “They just blew their wad seeing her two years ago and in Taylor tickets… Bad economics right now.”

Virginia High School Athlete Faces Assault Charge After Baton Incident During Track Meet

A Portsmouth high school athlete has been charged with assault and battery after a viral video showed her striking another runner with a baton during a track meet earlier this month.
Sixteen-year-old Alaila Everett, a student at I.C. Norcom High School, was officially charged following the March 3 incident at the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Championship. During the second leg of the 4×200 relay, Everett was captured on video hitting fellow runner Kaelen Tucker in the head with her baton as Tucker attempted to pass her. Tucker immediately dropped her baton and clutched her head in pain. She was later diagnosed with a concussion.

The City of Lynchburg Commonwealth’s Attorney confirmed that a petition for assault and battery was issued following the incident. Everett’s father, Genoah Everett, defended his daughter, claiming the contact was accidental and happened as Alaila struggled to maintain balance during the race.

Since the video went viral, Everett has faced online backlash, including racial slurs and threats. The Portsmouth NAACP has expressed concern for her well-being and stated they are reviewing the situation.
Kaelen’s parents said the school’s athletic director and Everett’s father have since apologized, but they have not received direct contact from Alaila or her coach.

Portsmouth Public Schools reported the incident to the VHSL, which is still investigating. “We are cooperating with the VHSL in its work. The division will support and follow the ruling upon its completed investigation,” the district said in a statement.
The VHSL stated that disqualifying Everett from the race was the correct course of action and reaffirmed their commitment to student-athlete safety.
