The Daily Buzz For March 3☕📰☕

 FOLLOW US ON BLUESKY!

Proportions For Summer 2025 Ad

Bottega Veneta reimagines the playful innocence of childhood in its summer 2025 campaign, turning nostalgia into high fashion. The collection thrives on exaggerated proportions, tactile details, and a sense of the surreal, all under Matthieu Blazy’s visionary touch.
Photographed by Sander Houthuys, Bottega Veneta’s summer 2025 campaign features an eclectic cast: Kaplan Hani, Larry Scott, Li Cheng Yuan, Nicolo Sala, Youssef Rocha, and Mohammed Banze. They lounge against plush, oversized animal-shaped cushions—an unexpected nod to childhood that softens the sharp lines of the collection.

This season, the ordinary becomes extraordinary, a signature of Blazy’s work. Soft pastels meet bold structure, with airy tailoring and fluid silhouettes that feel both effortless and sculptural. A pink crinkled suit contrasts with a sharp red shirt, while a plaid overshirt and mélange wool trousers, designed to mimic denim, create a play on textures.
Bottega Veneta’s accessories make their own statement. Woven leather bags, oversized travel pieces, and intricate metal accents add dimension to the season, reinforcing the collection’s balance of playfulness and precision.

Blazy’s vision transforms nostalgia into a refined spectacle, where childhood whimsy meets the sophistication of contemporary craftsmanship.

#MusicNews: Grammy-nominated R&B singer Angie Stone Has Died in a car crash!
Grammy-nominated R&B singer Angie Stone, a member of the all-female hip-hop trio The Sequence and known for the hit song “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” was killed early Saturday in a car crash. She was 63.
About 4 a.m., the vehicle she was riding in back to Atlanta from Alabama “flipped over and was subsequently hit by a big rig,” music producer and Stone’s longtime manager Walter Millsap III told The Associated Press in an email.

Everyone else in the cargo van survived except Stone, he said.
The Alabama Highway Patrol said in a news release that the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van turned over on Interstate 65 about 4:25 a.m. Saturday before being hit by a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia truck driven by a 33-year-old man from Texas.

Angie Stone was pronounced dead at the scene, the highway patrol said. The crash was about 5 miles (8 kilometers) south of the Montgomery city limits.
The Sprinter driver and seven others in the van were taken to Baptist Medical Center for treatment. Officials continue to investigate the cause.

Millsap said he learned the news from Angie Stone’s daughter, Diamond, and longtime The Sequence member Blondy.
“Never in a million years did we ever expect to get this horrible news,” Angie Stone’s children, Diamond and Michael Archer, said in a statement shared by the SRG Group. “We are still trying to process and are completely heartbroken.”

Millsap added: “We are truly devastated by this unexpected and unfortunate tragedy and there are simply no words to express how we feel.”
Stone was scheduled to perform at the halftime show of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association men’s Championship basketball game on Saturday. CIAA Chaplain Pastor Jerome Barber called for a moment of silence at the game.

CIAA Commissioner Jacqie McWilliams-Parker said they were heartbroken by the loss. “She used her incredible talent, passion, and presence to inspire and touch us with strength and hope,” Parker said.
The singer-songwriter created hits like “No More Rain (In This Cloud)” which reached No. 1 for 10 weeks on Billboard’s Adult R&B airplay chart, “Baby” with legendary soul singer Betty Wright, another No. 1 hit, and “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” and “Brotha.”

Stone found a sweet spot in the early 2000s as neo-soul begin to dominate the R&B landscape with the emergence of singers like Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Maxwell and D’Angelo.
Her 2001 album “Mahagony Soul” reached No. 22 on the Billboard 200, while 2007’s “The Art Of Love & War” peaked at No. 11.
The church-grown singer was born in Columbia, South Carolina. She helped form The Sequence, the first all-female group on the hip-hop trailblazing imprint Sugar Hill Records, becoming one of the first female groups to record a rap song.

The group recorded “Funk You Up,” which has been sampled by numerous artists, including Dr. Dre.
After finding success in the early 1980s, Stone later joined the trio Vertical Hold before launching her solo career.
Music had been a part of her life since she was a child, with her mother singing around the house and her father singing gospel and blues at spots around town, Stone told the AP in 1999 interview.

″I’m an only child, so my dad and my mom are my life, and when I was I kid I’d look up to my dad,″ she told the AP. ″He was very influential in what I wanted to do.”
Years later, after being hospitalized for congestive heart failure, she changed her life, dropped more than 40 pounds and started eating better, she told the AP. At the time, she said she was just happy to be alive and making music.
“I feel complete. I have a new love, a new album, a new outlook and a newfound joy. A few years ago, I was unhappy, depressed, not happy with the label’s efforts to market me. I had to still manage to uplift my audience,” she told the AP in 2007. “Now I feel like I’m on my way to a happily ever after. I’ve been in the business since 1979. I’ve grudged and drudged. ... Now I can finally say I feel I’ve arrived and mean it.”

A Soul Train Lady of Soul winner, Stone went on to showcase her acting chops with film roles in “The Hot Chick” starring Rob Schneider, “The Fighting Temptations” which starred Cuba Gooding Jr. and Beyoncé, and “Ride Along” led by Ice Cube and Kevin Hart.
She also hit the Broadway stage as Big Mama Morton in “Chicago,” and she showcased her vulnerability on the reality TV shows “Celebrity Fit Club” and “R&B Divas: Atlanta.”

#HipHopNews: Tory Lanez Seemingly Responds To Partynextdoor's Diss Song Apology!

Tory Lanez appears to have issued a response to PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s diss song and subsequent apology to him.
After previewing an unreleased track aimed at Lanez on Instagram Live earlier this week, the OVO singer quickly U-turned and apologized to his fellow Canadian.

Now, Tory has taken to social media to seemingly comment on the surprising turn of events.
“Lol… why wake me up?” he simply wrote on his Instagram Stories on Thursday (February 27).

PARTYNEXTDOOR’s aforementioned diss song, which has yet to be officially released, found him accusing Tory Lanez of running his mouth and biting his style.
“Fuck what Tory Lanez say, you know the B, I’m running that / I did everything he did, oh he’s just a running man […] You said I sound like Young Thug, you know you sound like me […] One day, you’ll be me,” he rapped.
PND also said during the broadcast while introducing the track: “I’m not y’all n-ggas’ friend. Fuck you talking ’bout, bro? Stop saying my name, n-gga.”

Less than a day later, the “Loyal” hitmaker took to social media to apologize to Tory, who he has previously collaborated with and with whom he shares a mutual friend in Drake.
“@torylanez I was told about what you said without hearing your video for myself. You didn’t say anything that I wouldn’t say myself, now that I seen it I was wrong. City is stronger together,” he wrote.

The video PARTY was referring to was a leaked prison phone call in which Tory Lanez namedropped him while teasing new music from behind bars.
“PARTYNEXTDOOR showed his best work of 2025, Drake showed his best work of 2025, The Weeknd showed his best work of 2025,” he said in the clip, referencing $ome $exy $ongs 4 U and Hurry Up Tomorrow. “Now it’s time for me to come out.”

PND does have a history of jumping the gun and beefing with his contemporaries, only to regret it shortly afterwards.
Last summer, the singer let his Twitter fingers fly by calling out his ex-girlfriend, as well as Chris Brown, Jeremih and Bryson Tiller, because she’d appeared in their music video for “Wait On It.”
In since-deleted social media posts, PARTY wrote: “I’m finna make these n-ggas cry… Bryson, Chris, Jeremih… enjoy the nights of your life.”
He quickly walked back his criticism of his R&B peers.

Kevin Liles accused of inappropriate behavior in new lawsuit against him

Kevin Liles, well-known former president of Def Jam Recordings, is currently facing some serious accusations of sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe.
The music industry executive, who helped launch the careers of stars like Jay-Z and Kanye West, is now at the center of a legal storm.

A lawsuit in New York accuses Liles of harassment and assault during his time at Def Jam from 1999 to 2004. The plaintiff, who used to work as an executive assistant, said that Liles made hurtful comments about her appearance, making her feel uncomfortable and disrespected at that moment.
The case further claimed that between 2000 and 2002, the harassment from Liles got worse, with him allegedly pushing his body against her and grabbing her. And in 2002, after she rejected his advances, the plaintiff accuses Liles of forcibly raping her.

However, the suit also names Universal Music Group (UMG) and Def Jam, saying the companies knew about his inappropriate behaviour but did nothing to stop it.
The CEO of 300 Entertainment, then denied all those allegations, calling them "outrageous" and "slanderous." He stated that his lawyers haven't seen the lawsuit yet and expressed his intention to clear his name.
Kevin Liles went on criticising the timing as well, claiming that the accuser’s lawyer leaked the lawsuit to the media before even filing it.

Kanye West is caught on the streets of Los Angeles wearing a Nazi swastika shirt
Kanye West has kicked off 2025 in the worst possible way, as the 47-year-old rapper continues to find himself in controversies that continue to tarnish his great legacy in music. The worst part about this whole situation is that it doesn't look like it's going to end anytime soon.
It all started on the Grammy's red carpet when the rapper and his wife, Bianca Censori, made an uninvited appearance, Ye shocked everyone when he asked the Australian model to take off her black coat and showed up in a see-through dress.

Kanye West sparks outrage in Los Angeles over swastika t-shirt
Ye did his thing, Bianca Censori had more searches on the internet than all the Grammy Awards, no doubt she got away with it, but that was just the beginning.
Kanye West used his X account to attack Jews, overweight women, promote the swastika, declare himself a Nazi and show his love for Hitler. He also supported his friend 'Diddy' by insisting that he was innocent. A complete madness that did not end there, he began to fill his official merchandise website with swastikas, he lost his mind.

"Ye" proudly wears his Nazi swastika T-shirt
On Friday, Kanye West was spotted by some cameras wearing a white t-shirt with a black swastika on it, and some fans laughed at his conspicuousness, as it is clear that the rapper wants to be filmed.

"It's always been a dream of mine to walk around in a swastika t-shirt," Kanye posted on his X account.
Something that has caused him a lot of problems lately, since a few days ago the server of his official merchandise site, "Yeezy," was suspended for selling clothes with a swastika logo, and he was also fired from the talent agency for his anti-Semitic comments on X.
In addition, his wife Bianca Censori was on the verge of divorce over the whole Nazi T-shirt issue, according to sources. For now, the couple has found stability, but if these tensions continue to grow, his wife will surely accuse him.

Southern University Student Dies After Collapsing In Alleged Off-Campus Fraternity Ritual
A Southern University student had died during an off-campus incident. According to local news station WAFB 9, Caleb Wilson collapsed while participating as a pledge member in an alleged ritual for the Omega Psi Phi fraternity at the North Sherwood Forest Community Park in Baton Rouge, La. The 20-year-old was unresponsive when he was brought to Baton Rouge General Hospital and pronounced dead on Thursday morning (Feb. 27).

According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office, the cause and manner of death are currently undetermined, and an investigation has been launched. Southern University Division of Student Affairs issued a statement putting an indefinite pause to all membership activities on campus, including fraternities, sororities, and student clubs, until further notice.

Kandi Burruss Addresses LaTocha Scott’s “Residuals” Challenge: “When You [Got] Kicked Out?”
Since LaTocha Scott freestyled her confessions for the “Residuals” challenge, Kandi Burruss addressed her former bandmate on the red carpet at the 2025 ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood.
When asked by VIBE if fans can expect an Xscape reunion in the near future, Burruss feels that’s the least of Scott’s issues, especially considering that she wasn’t “kicked out” of the group.

“She said it best. I think she addressed the issues with her personal life or issues with her family and then us […] I feel like fix what’s happening in the family and then it could be a talk about what’s going on with us because realistically, I thought it was little untrue to talk about you got kicked out,” Burruss explained.

Burruss questioned, “When you get kicked out? I don’t know about that. That didn’t necessarily, that wasn’t true.” During one part of Scott’s cover, she stated, “Losing everything was rough […] Losing my sister was insane/ Getting kicked out of my group was insane.”
Burruss noted, “But I do think there was some issues, some decisions on her part that made it to where we ain’t doing nothing. You know what I mean? It’s like you said you didn’t want to do no shows with us. We just continued doing what we supposed to be doing and I think the stuff that’s going on with the family is what made it hard to rekindle anything else.”

Tamika Scott also responded to her sister’s claims on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show.
She first praised her sister’s vocal performance, but urged her sister to “pull up,” adding, “let’s talk about these residuals.” Tamika also shared that when LaTocha and their mother saw her at an event recently, they both walked out, which was heartbreaking for Tamika. She feels she would’ve “fell into [their] arms” and cried if they would’ve approached her to reconcile.

LaTocha left Xscape after signing a deal with Motown Gospel in 2023.

Wendy Williams exposes ‘suffocating’ living conditions

Wendy Williams says her living conditions are “suffocating.” Her statement has drawn attention to the challenges faced by many Americans currently under some form of guardianship.
The former talk show host, 60, has been living in an assisted living facility under a court-appointed guardianship since May 2022, and she made the remark while opening up about her desire to leave both the facility and her legal guardianship. Guardianship arrangements affect thousands of celebrities and private citizens alike, often raising complex questions about autonomy and care.

“Well, I don’t have the freedom to do virtually anything. As far as where I am, I’m on the fifth floor. They call it ‘the memory unit,’ so it’s for people who don’t remember anything,” Wendy said speaking on NewsNation’s Banfield. Memory care units house individuals with varying degrees of cognitive impairment across the country.

She continued: “I’ve met the people who live here and I’ve been here for almost a year now, and this is very suffocating.” Studies show that feelings of confinement can significantly impact mental health, with isolation potentially affecting those in care facilities.
“It’s the memory unit, you know what I mean? Why am I here?” Wendy added many of the other residents require extensive medical care. Her questioning reflects a common concern among those placed in specialized care facilities who feel their level of need doesn’t match the environment.

“I have no idea, but I can tell you that it’s $18,000 a month, which is extremely expensive. And what do I have? I have a bedroom, and a bathroom and a window.” The high cost she mentions highlights the financial burden of specialized care facilities in the United States.
Wendy has repeatedly spoken about her wish to leave the facility. Her public statements have sparked debate among healthcare professionals about balancing patient autonomy with necessary care requirements.

“I am not cognitively impaired, but I feel like I am in prison. I’m in this place with people who are in their 90s and their 80s and their 70s … there’s something wrong with these people here on this floor. I am clearly not,” she told “The Breakfast Club” in January. Advocates for guardianship reform point to testimonies like Williams’ as evidence of needed system improvements.
She also claimed she was only allowed outside twice in 30 days and alleged the facility where she is being kept administered medication to her without full explanation. Patient rights remain a critical issue in many care facilities nationwide.

“The elevators are locked, visitors are restricted. I’m ready to get out of here. I’m ready to get out and get out of the guardianship. It’s suffocating, it’s very lonely,” Wendy went on. Social isolation can contribute to worsening health outcomes, particularly for those with neurological conditions.
Wendy’s court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has overseen the TV star’s finances and medical care since the guardianship was put in place. Court-appointed guardians manage assets and make decisions for those deemed unable to do so themselves.

In February 2024, Wendy‘s medical team disclosed she had been diagnosed with progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. These conditions affect many Americans, with frontotemporal dementia often impacting behavior and personality before memory.
Williams’ situation has drawn comparisons to other high-profile guardianship cases, including Britney Spears, whose conservatorship ended in 2021 after 13 years. Legal experts note that guardianship laws vary significantly by state, creating inconsistent protection and oversight mechanisms.

Healthcare ethicists continue to debate the balance between protection and autonomy in cases like Williams’, with many advocating for more graduated approaches to supported decision-making rather than full guardianship. Recent legislative efforts in several states aim to reform guardianship systems to provide more rights and protections for individuals under care.
Despite her diagnosis, Williams has maintained her characteristic outspokenness, using her platform to highlight concerns about her living situation. People with frontotemporal dementia often maintain awareness of their circumstances even as the condition progresses, potentially intensifying feelings of frustration.

Williams’ decades-long career in media, including her successful talk show that ran for 13 seasons, made her a familiar voice for millions of Americans, adding public interest to her current health challenges and living situation.

Lizzo returns with rock anthem & massive tour announcement
Lizzo has kicked off her new era with a rock’n’roll tune. The Grammy-winning artist’s shift to rock represents a significant musical evolution from her previous pop and hip-hop influenced sound.

The ‘Truth Hurts’ hitmaker has released her first single in two years, ‘Love In Real Life’, and since she was sued by her dancers for sexual and racial harassment. The lawsuit, filed in August 2023, became a major discussion point in the entertainment industry.
The single is accompanied by a short spoken word piece titled ‘Everything Was So Much Simpler’, in which she says: “Everything was so much simpler, and that’s exactly what I need. No views. No likes. Real love… and real life.” This reflective piece suggests a more introspective approach to her new music.

“Stay tuned for more music and surprises soon,” a press release teased. Industry insiders suggest this could include collaborative projects with other major artists in the rock genre.
Alongside the new track, the ‘Juice’ singer announced three “super intimate” gigs at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on March 12, Irving Plaza in New York on March 16, and First Avenue in Minneapolis on March 18. These venues are notably smaller than her previous arena tours, offering fans a rare close-up experience with the star.

“I want to introduce to you guys, the newest piece of content from the new era. I’ve been working on new music for the last two years. I took my time and I did it right. The new era has begun today, right now, with you, my chat,” Lizzo had said, teasing her comeback on a Twitch stream. The platform has become increasingly popular among musicians looking to connect directly with their fanbase.

Addressing the shocking allegations in detail for the first time during an in-depth interview, Lizzo said on the ‘Baby, This is Keke Palmer’ podcast in December: “2023 was an amazing year for me. This podcast appearance marked her first extensive public comments about the controversy.

“It was a career-high – like, we had the Record of the Year at the Grammys for ‘About Damn Time‘. This Grammy win represented her fourth career Grammy Award, cementing her status in the music industry.
“I was on my first arena tour and I got to bring the wonderful ‘Big Grrrl’ dancers from ‘Watch Out for the Big Grrls’ on stage with me every night. Like, I was literally living in my dream. Her ‘Special Tour’ grossed over $30 million, according to industry reports.

“Then the tour ended, and three ex-dancers just completely, like, blindsided me with a lawsuit.” The legal filing came just as Lizzo was preparing to begin work on her new musical direction.
The three backup dancers who sued Lizzo were Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez. The dancers had previously appeared on Lizzo’s Emmy-winning reality competition show “Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.”

They filed a lawsuit against the ‘Good as Hell’ singer and her Big Grrrl Big Touring company. The lawsuit contained allegations of workplace harassment and creating a hostile environment.
She dismissed most of the allegations as “silly” and “ridiculous”, adding: “But let’s be clear, I did nothing wrong. So I have no regrets, but I do have now this learned experience that is preparing me for the boss that I’m becoming.” Legal experts have noted that the case remains ongoing in Los Angeles courts.

Lizzo has denied all the allegations levied against her despite more accusers coming forward. Her legal team has filed motions to dismiss several aspects of the case.
In the same interview, the 36-year-old star confirmed she had finished a new album. Music critics who have heard previews describe it as a bold departure from her previous work, incorporating elements of classic rock and alternative sounds.
Lizzo released the song ‘Pink’ for the ‘Barbie’ film in 2023, while her last studio album was 2022’s ‘Special’. Her contribution to the Barbie soundtrack reached over 50 million streams across platforms.

The upcoming intimate tour dates are expected to sell out within minutes, according to concert industry analysts, with fans eager to witness Lizzo’s new rock direction in person. These venues have historical significance in rock music, particularly First Avenue in Minneapolis, which was famously featured in Prince’s “Purple Rain.”
Music industry observers have noted that Lizzo’s pivot to rock represents a growing trend of genre-crossing in contemporary music, as artists increasingly defy traditional categorization. Her new sound has already garnered positive reactions from rock critics who have praised her vocal power and authenticity in the genre.

Snoop Dogg's Daughter Cori Broadus Delivers Baby Girl At 6 Months

Cori Broadus, the only daughter of Snoop Dogg, gave birth to her “perfect” first child with fiancé Wayne Deuce at 25 weeks, two months after announcing her pregnancy.
“The princess arrived at 6 months,” Cori wrote in her Feb. 28 Instagram announcement, alongside a picture of the baby’s foot. “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s perfect as ever!”

She added alongside a prayer hand emoji, “Thank You God for getting me this far no matter the odds that are constantly thrown against me.”
Though the 25-year-old is ecstatic for the baby’s arrival, she also shared the insecurity she felt for not carrying the baby to full term.
“I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed,” she continued. “But no matter what God always shows me that I’m His Child!”

Broadus subsequently shared two instagram stories, telling her followers that she underwent a cesarean section (C-section).
“1st c-section was success:) s/o to the man up above,” she captioned the instagram story of her lying on the operating table.
Her second instagram story was shared while she was in her hospital bed. She stated that she visited the doctor on Thursday, February 27, believing she merely had a severe case of gas.

Doctors informed Broadus that she was exhibiting signs of HELLP syndrome.
Ahead of the early arrival of Snoop’s eighth grandchild, Cori—who has battled lupus since she was a child and had been recovering from a stroke in January 2024—had explained that doctors were keeping an eye on her.
“I’m high risk pregnancy and doctors were very concerned for me and the baby,” she told E! News in December, “but God has his hands on me, and me and the baby are doing perfectly fine.”

The production features music and lyrics by Keys and a book by Kristoffer Diaz. Inspired by the 15-time Grammy winner's life, the story centers on 17-year-old Ali and her mother, sharing a cramped apartment near Times Square. Ali wants to live out her NYC dream, but Mom is scared her daughter will repeat her own mistakes. Ali is further confused when her estranged father—Davis, who is a musician—comes back into her life.

“From songwriting to producing to performing, Tank brings so many talents to the table as a multi-faceted artist,” adds Alicia Keys. “We are thrilled he has chosen to make his Broadway debut at Hell's Kitchen and we can’t wait to show audiences the power and vulnerability he brings to the role of “Davis.’”

Tank's 25-year career has included eight number-one singles, including "Can't Let It Show," "I Deserve," "Slow," "See Through Love," "Before We Get Started," and "When We." He's also collaborated with such industry stars as Beyoncé, Aaliyah, Fantasia, Jamie Foxx, and Jennifer Hudson.

Hell's Kitchen officially opened at the Shubert Theatre April 20 after beginning previews March 28—read the reviews here. Michael Greif directs the work, which features choreography by Camille A. Brown.
Leading lady Maleah Joi Moon, who won a 2024 Tony Award for her performance as Ali, will play her final performance in the musical March 30, to be succeeded by current understudy Jade Milan through May 25. Gianna Harris will be the role's alternate, with further casting to be announced.

The current cast also stars Jessica Vosk (Wicked) as Jersey, Phillip Johnson Richardson (The Wiz) as Knuck, and Tony winner Kecia Lewis (Ain't Misbehavin') as Miss Liza Jane, along with Angela Birchett, Chad Carstarphen, Reid Clarke, Chloe Davis, Nico DeJesus, Timothy L. Edwards, Desmond Sean Ellington, Badia Farha, Vanessa Ferguson, Gianna Harris, Jakeim Hart, Takia Hopson, Gabriel Hyman, Lindsey Jolyn Jackson, Eliazar Jimenez, Kelsee Kimmel, Jackie Leon, Raechelle Manalo, Jade Milan, Onyxx Noel, Susan Oliveras, Sarah Parker, Eric Parra, Aaron Nicholas Patterson, Amanda Reid, William Roberson, Niki Saludez, Nyseli Vega, Lamont Walker II, and Oscar Whitney Jr. Casting is by Heidi Griffiths and Kate Murray.

Greif reassembled his complete Off-Broadway creative team for the Broadway bow. The music team includes music director Lily Ling and orchestrators Adam Blackstone and Tom Kitt with arrangements by Keys and Blackstone. The creative team also includes scenic designer Robert Brill, costume designer Dede Ayite, lighting designer Natasha Katz, sound designer Gareth Owen, projection designer Peter Nigrini, hair and wig designer Mia Neal, and makeup designer Michael Clifton. Foresight Theatrical is general manager, and Danny Maly serves as production stage manager.

The Broadway production was nominated for 13 2024 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It won Tonys for Moon and Lewis' performances, and also took home the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

'Madame Web' And 'Joker: Folie A Deux' Lead Winners List At 2025 Razzie Awards
The Razzie Awards, celebrating their 45th year, have once again unapologetically handed tongue-in-cheek acknowledgment of Hollywood's less-than-stellar efforts. This year, Spider-Man spin-off "Madame Web" emerged as the biggest "winner" of these unwanted accolades.

The film, along with its star Dakota Johnson and its screenplay, received the most Razzies, underlining its reputation as a disappointment in the eyes of critics and audiences alike.
Key lowlights from this year's Razzies include "Joker: Folie a Deux" receiving two Razzies. The "Joker" sequel won Worst Remake, Rip-off or Sequel and its onscreen couple Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga was dubbed Worst Screen Combo.

Meanwhile, Francis Ford Coppola was named Worst Director for his ambitious yet evidently flawed project "Megalopolis" and Jon Voight found himself walking away with the Worst Supporting Actor title for his roles across multiple films, including "Megalopolis," "Reagan," "Shadow Land," and "Strangers."
All wasn't gloom and doom at the Razzies, though. Pamela Anderson was honored with the Razzie Redeemer Award for her performance in "The Last Showgirl," marking a significant comeback from her previous title as Worst New Star in 1996.

While no one aspires to receive a Razzie, these awards serve as a sobering reminder of the industry's fleeting successes and spectacular downfalls. For young film enthusiasts, the Razzies offer a candid insight into the unpredictable world of cinema.

Here's a list of "winners" at the 45th Golden Raspberry Awards:
Worst Picture: "Madame Web"
Worst Actor: Jerry Seinfeld - "Unfrosted"
Worst Actress: Dakota Johnson - "Madame Web"
Worst Supporting Actor: Jon Voight - "Megalopolis", "Reagan", "Shadow Land", & "Strangers”
Worst Supporting Actress: Amy Schumer - "Unfrosted"
Worst Director: Francis Ford Coppola - "Megalopolis"
Worst Screen Combo: Joaquin Phoenix & Lady Gaga - "Joker: Folie a Deux"
Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel: "Joker: Folie a Deux"
Worst Screenplay: "Madame Web" written by Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, Claire Parker, and S.J. Clarkson
Razzie Redeemer: Pamela Anderson - "The Last Showgirl"

Congrats?

'SNL' Star Bowen Yang Denies Claims He Got Shane Gillis Fired From The Show
Bowen Yang is setting the record straight over claims that he played a role in Shane Gillis' firing from "Saturday Night Live" (SNL). Recent accusations were made under an Instagram post promoting Gillis' second hosting stint.
In the comment section, Michelle Best, a background actor on the show, called "Wicked" star Bowen Yang a "whiny queen" who pushed Gillis out. "SNL fired him as a hater. He's not," Best wrote before praising Gillis. "He's very kind and has smart humor and stands up to bullying. Good for him!"

Yang quickly responded, disputing his involvement in Gillis' firing. "Didn't do any of this but I wrote the sketch you were a background actor in," he responded. It's unclear which sketch Yang referred to, but Best did appear in a 2019 sketch, "Fashion Coward," featuring Emma Stone.

Gillis, who joined "SNL" in the same season as Yang, was ousted after his previous racist and homophobic jokes resurfaced. Although he apologized for his remarks, describing himself as a "comedian who pushes boundaries," the damage was done and it led to his exit.
"SNL" creator Lorne Michaels expressed regret over the firing, indicating the decision came from higher-ups. "He [Shane Gillis] said something stupid, but it got blown up into the end of the world. I was angry. I thought, 'You haven't seen what we're going to do, and what I'm going to try to bring out in him,' because I thought he was the real thing."

Bowen Yang, "SNL" first Chinese-American and one of the few queer members, has expressed his desire to move beyond the controversy. He recalled Gillis' personal apology and the subsequent media portrayal which left a negative impact.
"Anytime our names are in the same sentence... it always feels deleterious. It feels like one person is trying to undo the other," Yang told Variety. "I think he and I have done enough things in our careers now to really not have that be the definitive beginning."

Since his "SNL" debut in 2018, Yang's star has continuously risen. He has earned three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, with a fourth for writing.
Shane Gillis will return to the show as a host alongside musical guest Tate McRae, this Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock.

Tyra Banks Talks 'America's Next Top Model,' Says Show Didn't Always 'Get It Right' But Still Made a Mark
Tyra Banks owned up to some controversies surrounding her hit reality series America’s Next Top Model.
The 51-year-old supermodel launched the show in 2003. It ran for 24 seasons with Tyra serving as the main judge for all but one.
In 2020, the show went through a reckoning online with some viewers calling out troubling moments, including a photoshoot where contestants had their skin darkened to appear “biracial.”

Although Tyra acknowledged that the show sometimes got it wrong, she also praised it for breaking ground.
She made the remarks while being honored as the Luminary Spotlight honoree at the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards on Thursday (February 27).

“Over 20 years ago I created a show called America’s Next Top Model. And you guys have no idea how hard we fought to bring the diversity to that television show at a time when it didn’t exist; to show different beauties at a time when the world was like, ‘What? You casting that?’ A time when people in the fashion industry were telling me, ‘You putting the girls from the hood on your show,’“ she recalled, via People.

Tyra continued, saying that people called out her casting choices. “And we fought and we struggled and we made it happen,” she said.
“Did we get it right? Hell no. I said some dumb s-it,” the model admitted. “But I refuse to have my legacy be about some stuff linked together on the Internet when there were 24 cycles of changing the world. And I am so excited that I, and so many of us, have opened that door for others to follow.”

Sara Rivers from “Da Band” Sues Diddy Over Unpaid Royalties, Breach of Contract and Harassment

Another one of Diddy’s former artists is suing him. This time, Sara Rivers from “Da Band” is airing out her grievances legally.
Rivers, known for her role in the 2000s reality show, “Making Da Band,” filed a lawsuit accusing Diddy of failing to honor a contract and withholding payment for her work. According to Rivers, she was promised compensation for her contributions to the group’s music and appearances, but Diddy allegedly failed to fulfill his financial obligations.

In the lawsuit, Rivers details the emotional and financial toll that Diddy’s actions had on her career. She describes feeling exploited and neglected, as her attempts to resolve the matter were ignored. In the past, other musicians have come forward with similar accusations, with tales of unpaid royalties and broken promises. Producer Lil Rod sued the embattled mogul in 2024, citing sexual misconduct and failure to pay him for his work on “The Love Album: Off the Grid.

Rivers is also accusing her former boss of sexually harassing and assaulting her. She says that Diddy once backed her into a corner while running his hand across her breasts, despite her resistance. The suit also names MTV, Viacom, and several former Bad Boy employees, including Diddy’s mother, Janice, and his ex-assistant Fonzworth Bentley.

Diddy’s lawyers slammed her allegations, suggesting they were a money grab.
“We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. With the deadline for New York’s Gender-Motivated Violence Act expiring tomorrow, it’s clear that opportunists are rushing to file last-minute, meritless claims. Mr. Combs remains confident he will prevail in court,” they wrote in a statement.
Dawn Richard also sued Diddy last year for mistreatment during her time on and off the series. After being voted into Danity Kane, Richard claims she was subjected to sexual advances and bullying even in the years after the group disbanded.
