#MAGFAB: Linda Evangelista Covers HARPER’S BAZAAR’s May 2025 ‘Beauty’ Issue

In HARPER’S BAZAAR’s May 2025 Beauty issue, Linda Evangelista shares the powerful story behind her return to the spotlight—and the journey to self-acceptance that’s reshaped her life.
In a candid conversation with Linda Wells, Evangelista opens up about surviving a double mastectomy, enduring a series of surgeries, and the unexpected consequences of a cosmetic procedure that changed the course of her career. Now, approaching 60, she’s no longer hiding. “I’m alive. I’m alive. I’m alive, and I’m going to do what I have to do. I’m going to fight because I don’t want it any other way. I’m not done.”
Reflecting on decades spent as a beauty icon, Evangelista speaks openly about aging, motherhood, body image, and learning to embrace herself exactly as she is. “I’m doing the work,” she says. “I’m trying to get to the place where I like myself, flaws and all.”

On being a breast cancer survivor and owning her scars: “My double mastectomy, I’m fine with it,” she tells me. “I did put in very small implants. What they took out, I put in, cc-wise. I’ve had all those lung surgeries, oh my God, and my keloids and all the chest-tube scars and my C-section scar. There were a lot of surgeries. I’m cool. I’m fine with those. I won. I’m here. I won.”
On finding purpose and joy in her work: “I loved working,” she says. “You never heard me complain about my job, never. I thought it was the greatest job in the world.”
On the infamous $10,000-a-day comment—and what she really meant: As everyone knows, she didn’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day. It was a statement she came to regret for its arrogance. I see it as a declaration of worth. Is it so offensive to know your value? Evangelista considers that. “There’s different ways of saying ‘I value myself, and I command this for my services because I’m worth it’ than the way I said it.”

On never being told she was beautiful during her years modeling and giving to others what she didn’t receive: During the supermodel reign of the 1990s, Evangelista became an avatar of beauty, possessing all of its power. And yet, she says, “I didn’t walk around thinking I was beautiful. The attention was for the work, not for the person. I was never told I was beautiful. I was told, ‘Oh, your hair looks great.’ Or ‘The foot is working. The foot is good.’ But no one ever said, ‘Linda, you’re beautiful.’”
She now tells everyone she can what she never heard herself, as if to right a wrong. “I make a point … I tell my nephews, I tell my friends, and I especially tell my son how beautiful he is because I think it’s important to hear it.”
On no longer feeling watched—and feeling fine with that: For years, she says, “I felt like the eyes were on me. I don’t feel them on me any longer. And I’m fine with that. That wasn’t sustainable, whatever that was back in the heyday, and I’m sure glad I’m not living that life.”
On how her view of beauty has changed: After what she’s been through, Evangelista is reassessing the whole concept of beauty. “I really think beauty is something you earn. I think of my grandmothers’ faces and what the war did to them, the toll it took on them … just wearing their hardships. They wore it, and they were so gorgeous. It had nothing to do with perfection or youth.” At this, she starts to cry, and I ask if she’s okay. She demurs, saying the tears are happy ones.
On struggling to face her reflection after a CoolSculpting treatment left her body with permanent damages: It’s hard to imagine. It’s unimaginable. For someone whose beauty was her career and her identity, now “I have to go through therapy to like what I see when I look in the mirror, and I still don’t look in the mirror. I didn’t want to see myself because I didn’t love myself or like myself.”

On navigating the contradictions of aging: Aging well—if there is such a thing—is a tightwire act: Love yourself, but endure the pain. Don’t let yourself go, but don’t go too far. Exercise all your power, but never let the effort show. Keep up the Botox injections, but dissolve the filler, as Evangelista did, because, she says, “I wasn’t looking like me.”
She’s beginning to find some peace, and maybe that, too, is an upside of aging. “I don’t care how I age. I just want to age. It doesn’t have to be gracefully. I really, really, really don’t want to die. I have still so much to do. I’m finally getting comfortable with myself and with everything, and now I want to enjoy it.”

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Faces Backlash From RHOA Fans After Praising Brit Eady as ‘Quintessential Housewife’
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is back for its 16th season and, as fans know, Porsha Williams is along for the ride. However, her return has been met with a yawn, as many feel she functions more as a friend of than a full-fledged housewife. Now, she’s getting a bit of backlash for her recent comments about newbie Brittany “Brit” Eady in light of her drama with Kenya Moore.
Regarding Porsha, many believed she would enter the season as the glue that kept the ladies together, while also providing the fun “Porsha” moments that she had added to earlier seasons. However, it seems her ongoing divorce from Simon Guobadia may have dampened her spirits as well as her ability to film in the marital home.
Porsha recently took to her YouTube channel to share some of her thoughts on Brittany and the show as a whole. This comes after Drew Sidora questioned the newbie about her past in one of the recent episodes. Luckily, The Bravo Shaderoom captured clips. Porsha started, “I do like that Brit is honest. I feel like Brit stands in her truth, and I like that she can own who she is.”
The mother of one then said, “That is quintessential when it comes to a real housewife. Those are the ones who make it past one season. The ones that, honestly, I wanna say right or wrong, but it’s just you stand in your truth. Whatever you believe. Whoever you are, you own that and what you say, you can stand behind. That is a housewife that can last season to season to season to season.”
She added, “Yes, they make mistakes. Yes, they are imperfect, but you know who they are and you know what they say is their truth. So, I do like that about Brit.”
Then, she spoke a bit about the show in general. Porsha said, “Don’t ya’ll like this new refreshed look of Housewives with the younger girls. I think it’s cute. I really do. I did not expect the scene from Drew and Brit, but it was okay. It was cute seeing them together. Now, I will say Drew, who signed her up to be the one to hold Brit accountable when she needs to be held accountable, but okay.”
Porsha then continued talking about the Drew and Brit scene. She said, “I think that Drew did her job of asking her questions. I’m not gonna say hold Brit accountable because at the end of the day, Brit already held herself accountable. I mean, damn are we just gonna beat a dead horse? Girl is like, ‘I’m bleeding out. I know, I know. I have a past, let it go.'”
Porsha went on, “She asked the right questions, and Brit answered them. Like, what else can you say? Who doesn’t have a past? We don’t have the same past, but Brit owns who she is and her past, and who she is now is a beautiful person, and everybody learns from their past. Everybody can become someone else, and so yeah, I think it was difficult for Brit to have that conversation, but I felt like she dealt with it with grace. I really do. I felt like she did not beat Drew up. She did not chop her head off. She answered her questions.”
Porsha then said that it’s all in how you ask questions about someone’s past and highlighted that Drew did it during a one-on-one conversation instead of with a group. One can assume that Porsha was referring to Kelli Ferrell here when she asked about “stealing” Simon from Falon.
Some fans weren’t loving what Porsha had to say. One person commented, “Who told Porsha we wanted to hear from her and her assessments of the episode??? They lied sweety.”
Someone else said, “Porsha, you’ve been my favorite for years now.. pleaseee don’t get on the wrong side!! Just sit this out. We don’t like her, and you can’t convince us otherwise!”
Another fan commented, “Wrong road Porsha…wrong road.” Finally, a different viewer said, “Spell Quintessential.”

#MusicNews: Craig David Announces New Album ‘Commitment’

Craig David will release his new album ‘Commitment’ on August 8th. The UK great is a true all-rounded, a songwriter, rapper, performer, producer, and DJ. Recently signalling his return, Craig David entered Spring with a vengeance, packing out the O2 Arena in London.
New album ‘Commitment’ is out on August 8th; his ninth studio album to date, it aims to blend all the different facets of his music.
The production cast is broad, too – Craig is joined by the likes of Mike Brainchild, Toddla T, Tre-Jean Marie, and Wretch 32, while collaborators include Jojo, Tiwa Savage, and Louisa Johnson.
Available to pre-order now, the record is led by all-new UKG bouncer ‘Wake Up’; interpolating those seismic garage tropes for a new rave generation, Craig David adds some smooth soul into the mix.
‘Wake Up’ for me is my way of not only respecting my garage roots, but also keeping alive the cultural foundation of the sound from where it all started.
The lyric reinforces literally & metaphorically the essence of making sure we don’t fall asleep on the importance of nurturing something we care about. Especially if we don’t want to end up losing it by taking it for granted. This echoes how I feel about the unique sound of UK Garage and the importance of nurturing it for generations to come around the world.
I felt super inspired mixing in the vibes of ‘Indo – R U Sleeping’ on this one, just like me playing out a TS5 garage set. The whole vibe ignited some core memories for me that not only had me in my feels, but inspired me to grab the mic & spit bars again. Just like when I was on pirate radio MC’ing back in the days.

#HipHopNews: Young Thug Makes His Return With “Money On Money
Young Thug is officially back with “Money On Money,” his first lead single since coming home, and naturally, he tapped frequent collaborator Future to help make the moment count. On Friday (April 25), the duo dropped accompanying visuals for the track ahead of Thugger’s upcoming album, UY SCUTI, expected to arrive later in the year.
Produced by Southside and Wheezy, the video finds Young Thug and Future cruising through a shipyard in a stripped-down Lamborghini while spitting bars about “blowin' money fast like a f**kin' cheetah.” The visual companion itself, which plays out very much like Ye and JAY-Z’s “Otis” visuals in terms of the pyrotechnics, ladies riding in the backseat, and camera angles, also serves as proof that the Atlanta rappers’ collaborative genius hasn’t faded one bit.
On the chorus, Young Thug rapped, “These f**k n**gas tellin' for nothin', and I gotta be the one callin' 'em friend,” followed by him belting out, “Brother, you a rat/ Twin, you a pack” early into the opening verse. Of course, those lines could apply to plenty of people, but the internet immediately pointed fingers at Gunna, who notably took an Alford plea deal in the YSL RICO case.

LISTEN HERE:
Young Thug and several co-defendants ended up coming home on probation anyway, so looking back, maybe Gunna’s plea didn't change much. Then again, that's all speculation, and to date, every one of the “fukumean” hitmaker’s releases since his return have still come through YSL Records.
“You identify my b**ches with APs. She ain't got an AP, she is not mine. She belongs to the streets,” Future said about three minutes into “Money On Money.” It’s a more obvious nod to an Instagram Story that Young Thug posted back in 2017 featuring the “Mask Off” rapper, and since then, it’s taken on a life of its own on social media.
“Money On Money” marked Young Thug and Future’s second collaboration of the year, with both of them having appeared on “Dum, Dumb, Dumber” from Lil Baby’s WHAM in January.

Son of NFL Coach Admits to Prank-Calling Shedeur Sanders During Draft: 'I Made a Terrible Mistake'

Jax Ulbrich, the son of Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, admitted that he prank-called Shedeur Sanders during the 2025 NFL draft
On Sunday, April 27, 21-year-old Jax posted an apology on his Instagram, writing, "I made a terrible mistake and messed with that moment"
The Falcons issued a statement, saying that Jeff Ulbrich was “unaware of the data exposure or any facets of the prank and was made unaware of the above only after the fact"
Jax Ulbrich, the son of Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, has admitted that he was the person who prank-called Shedeur Sanders during the 2025 NFL draft.
Jax, 21, shared a post on both his Instagram feed and Instagram Stories on Sunday, April 27, in which he apologized for what he called a “tremendous mistake” and revealed that he had called the newly minted Cleveland Browns player earlier that day to apologize.
“On Friday night I made a tremendous mistake,” Jax began in his post. “Shedeur, what I did was completely inexcusable, embarrassing and shameful.”
“I’m so sorry I took away from your moment, it was selfish and childish. I could never imagine getting ready to celebrate one of the greatest moments of your life and I made a terrible mistake and messed with that moment,” he continued.
“Thank you for accepting my call earlier today. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me,” he concluded.
Jax made the prank call on Friday, April 25, on day two of the draft while the former Colorado Buffaloes player was eagerly awaiting an update on his future in the league.
In a since-viral video of the moment, Shedeur, 23, takes a call from someone pretending to be New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis.
"We're going to take you with our next pick, man, but you're going to have to wait a little bit longer, man. Sorry about that,” the caller says in the video, to which a confused Shedeur replies, “What does that mean?”
According to Fox Sports, Shedeur had been worried about the potential for prank calls ahead of the draft and had even received a new phone with a number only released to NFL executives.
In an official statement released by the Falcons on Sunday, April 27, the team said that Jax had obtained Shedeur’s private phone number from his father's open iPad while visiting his parents' home "to later conduct a prank call."
According to the statement, Jeff Ulbrich was “unaware of the data exposure or any facets of the prank and was made unaware of the above only after the fact.”
“The Atlanta Falcons do not condone this behavior and send our sincere apologies to Shedeur Sanders and his family,” the statement continued.
During a press call with reporters after he was drafted by the Browns on Saturday, April 26, Shedeur said he was unbothered by the prank, per ESPN.
"It didn't really have an impact on me," he told reporters, per the outlet, "because it was just like, I mean, okay, like I don't feed into negativity or I don't feed into that stuff."
"I think, of course, it is childish. Of course, I feel like it was a childish act, but everybody does childish things here and there," he added.

Beyoncé Shares Sneak Preview Of Stage Ahead Of Cowboy Carter Tour
It’s time to grab your spurs and cowboy hat because Queen Bey is heading to a city near you.
In a social media post on Sunday (Apr.27), Beyoncé finally offered fans a glimpse of the stage design for her upcoming Cowboy Carter tour. A few days prior, sketches of the design had been leaked on social media. The black-and-white video begins peering up from the stairs at Inglewood’s Lofi Stadium, panning closer and closer, to eventually reveal the elaborate stage design before fading to black. “She’s coming,” the post’s caption reads.
While some of the Reddit chatrooms had it right regarding the stage design, one can assume that the singer has something much grander under the sleeve, that will leave concertgoers blown away. The Cowboy Carter kicks off Monday, April 28, in Inglewood, CA at Lofi Stadium and will conclude on Saturday, July 26 in Paradise, NV at the Allegian Stadium.
In other news, Beyoncé’s Cécred haircare line is now officially available at Ulta Beauty stores across the US
The haircare brand has gotten rave reviews and won multiple beauty awards since launching in February 2024. A few weeks back, Cécred shared the announcement on its official Instagram page. In a spy movie-inspired skit, the brand depicts the process of “Operation Get Cécred At Ulta Beauty” being completed.

“Operation get @cecred at @ultabeauty is officially COMPLETE, with the help of the big boss and founder, @beyonce! Available NOW at your local Ulta Beauty store and ultabeauty.com,” the post’s caption reads. Along with a few members from the Cécred team, Queen Bey and her mother, Tina Knowles, also appear in the clip.
When Beyoncé isn’t working on her business endeavors, she’s making music history. In March, Billboard dropped off its “Top Women of The 21st Century” list. Beyoncé, whose iconography precedes her, landed at No.3. Slightly ahead of her were two other industry heavyweights: Rihanna (No.2) and Taylor Swift (No.1). Behind her sit Adele at No.4 and Katy Perry at No.5.

Since its release, “Sinners” has enjoyed a level of critical and audience acclaim rarely seen for any film, let alone for an original horror offering, and has been drawing in moviegoers who weren’t all aware of the film’s existence prior to its release.
Jiggly Caliente, Drag Performer from "RuPaul's Drag Race," Has died at age 44

Jiggly Caliente, a beloved drag queen who competed on "RuPaul's Drag Race" and transgender rights activist, has died at the age of 44, her family said in a statement posted on social media Sunday.
Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known by her stage name Jiggly Caliente, was going through what her family said was a "serious health setback" over the last month.
"Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and, as a result, has undergone the loss of most of her right leg," the family's statement said three days before they announced she had died.
Her family said Castro-Arabejo "passed away peacefully" on Sunday morning and that she was surrounded by loved ones. They remembered her as an entertainer and advocate who had "infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity."
"Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light. Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever," her family's statement read. "She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered."
Caliente first walked into the spotlight as a contestant on the award-winning hit reality show "RuPaul's Drag Race." The Philippines-born drag queen competed on season 4 of the show and on the sixth season of its spin-off, "RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars." She became one of the most recognizable names from the show and went on to act in other TV series including "Broad City" and "Pose," as well as appearing as a judge on "RuPaul's Drag Race Philippines."
In 2016, Castro-Arabejo publicly came out as a transgender woman.
"Drag was the awakening for my transness," she told Mega magazine in an interview last year.
Following the announcement of her death, tributes from fellow "Drag Race" contestants were posted to social media, including from Caliente's "drag daughter" and season 14 contestant June Jambalaya.
"Jiggly wasn't just my drag mother she was my safe place, my human diary, my compass when I was lost," Jambalaya said in an Instagram post. "There were so many moments I came to her broken, defeated by the business I love so much,a business that I felt didn't always love me back. And every time, she reminded me of my worth: how beautiful, how talented I was, how my gift could never be measured by a placement on a show."

Bishop TD Jakes Retires From Pastor at The Potter House Daughter and Son in Law will take over!
Bishop TD Jakes, the founder and senior pastor of The Potter’s House in Dallas, is passing the torch to a new generation of leaders.
In a service held on Sunday, Jakes announced his decision to appoint his daughter, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and her husband, Touré Roberts, as the senior pastors of the church he founded. They are expected to assume their roles later this year, after relocating to Dallas in 2022 and serving as assistant pastors of The Potter’s House since 2023.
Jakes expressed his gratitude for nearly 50 years of serving the local and global community as a pastor, global faith leader, and unwavering truth teller. As he enters his 50th year in the public eye, he recognized the pressing need to address contemporary challenges, particularly the looming threat of a diminishing middle class, social unrest, and widening opportunity gaps.
While stepping down from his senior pastor position, Jakes will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board and “spiritual overseer” of The Potter’s House. He will also remain as Chairman of the T.D. Jakes Group, which comprises T.D. Jakes Real Estate Ventures, T.D. Jakes Enterprises, and the T.D. Jakes Foundation. Additionally, he is set to launch a series of podcast shows as part of a new partnership with iHeartMedia, as announced in a press release.
“Elevating Pastor Touré and Pastor Sarah as the new senior pastors of The Potter’s House, we will honor our rich history while embracing a future that demands innovative ministry for the coming age,” Jakes said. “This elevation is not a departure but a rebirth. I will never stop preaching and will continue to minister. This moment isn’t an ending, it’s an expansion. We are not only passing a mantle we are multiplying impact. Leadership is not static, it is dynamic. It demands the courage to evolve.”
Touré and Sarah say they intend to carry the church’s ministry into the future.
Jakes’ announcement comes after he suffered a heart attack while delivering a sermon last year. In his sermon Sunday announcing the change, Jakes grew visibly emotional reflecting on his decades-long career as a pastor and preacher.

Simone Biles May Skip Competing At 2028 Olympics To Enjoy Life With Her Husband And Travel

The most decorated gymnast, Simone Biles, is shifting her priorities. The 28-year-old recently said she may not compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics because she wants to focus on aspects of her life beyond work.
“I’m really trying to enjoy life, to spend time with my husband, go support him at his games, live my life as a woman,” she said during an interview with French sports daily L’Equipe. “I’ve accomplished so much in my sport. For me to come back, it would really have to excite me.”
Simone is currently married to NFL player Jonathan Owens, and they have been married since April 2023. The busy athlete couple only recently had their honeymoon in South Africa after two years of marriage. It makes sense that Biles is ready to slow down as the couple has been building a home in Texas for some years, and also discussed starting a family in recent years. Back in 2022, Simone said she wanted two kids, while Owens was opting for a football team of little ones.
During the interview, the star athlete also explained how much time is spent preparing for the Olympics and expressed uncertainty about whether she wants to commit to it again.
“A lot of people think it’s just a one-year commitment but it truly is the four years leading up to the Olympics,” she said. “It’s in LA it’s back in the States, which is so exciting. But if I’m going to compete again, I’m not so sure.”
The gymnast swept the 2024 Paris Olympics, winning four medals in total–three gold and one silver. Biles made history by breaking Shannon Miller’s record for most Olympic medals won by an American gymnast. The 28-year-old is also the most decorated gymnast of all time.
That said, the gymnast does plan to attend the games but hasn’t decided in what capacity.
“Whether on the [gymnastics] apparatus or in the stands, I still don’t know that,” she told L’Equipe. “But 2028 seems so far away, and my body is aging. I felt it in Paris.”
Biles expanded on how taxing the sport can be and its impact on her body.
“I went back to the [Olympic] village, I took the elevator, and my body literally collapsed. I was sick for 10 days,” she said. “The other day, we were sprinting in the garden with friends, I had aches and pains for three days. So, I honestly don’t know. We’ll see.”

Denzel Washington Responds To Backlash Over Pricey Tickets For His Broadway Show

As theatre lovers flock to the latest Broadway production of "Othello, featuring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, ticket prices have become a hot topic of discussion. While demand for the show is immense, ticket pricing upwards of $900 is drawing criticism.
Brian Cox, known for his role in "Succession", criticized the hefty costs during a London theatre talk. "It's not right," Cox stated, "There's amazing shows and hits, but there's too much money stuff involved in American theatre where apparently, you're paying $1,000 a night to see Othello."
The actor who's currently starring in the West End play "The Score" continued, "A friend of mine said they couldn't believe it, and they paid a f******... excuse me, that's wrong. That balance is wrong because it puts the theatre in a whole different place."
Fellow actress Audra McDonald shared a similar sentiment when speaking with Gyllenhaal for a one-on-one conversation with Variety. McDonald, starring in her own Broadway play "Gypsy" as Mama Rose, lamented, "Your show opened after mine, so I’m desperate to see it. Also I can't afford to come to your show."
Denzel Washington commented on the issue during the Entertainment Community Fund Gala on April 21. "[They're selling] as low as $50. People don't talk about that," he argued in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, likely referring to the $49 student rush tickets.
Despite the astronomical prices for some seats, Washington downplayed comparisons to music superstars like Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z, stating, "I haven't quite felt like that. I can't sing or rap."
In contrast, "Othello" director Kenny Leon did not shy away from comparing the Broadway spectacle to high-profile events like a Los Angeles Lakers game or a Beyonce concert. In his interview with the Daily Mail, Leon emphasized the show's broad appeal, noting audience attendance from "all economic ranges" and availability of student tickets.
"So to me, with a commercial industry, people are paying what they think it's worth," he remarked. Citing an instance of one man willing to pay $921 for his ticket, Leon underscored the perceived value and unique experience of the show.

In 2024, Christian Siriano publicly called out Bravo reality TV stars asking for free clothes. Fast forward a year later, the designer revealed whether those television personalities had started to pay for their dresses.
"Bronwyn still pays," Siriano told Page Six, referring to "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" newcomer Bronwyn Newport. "Brownyn bought two dresses yesterday, so anyone that says Bronwyn doesn't pay…She does!"
"Project Runway" alum Christian Siriano previously vented his frustrations towards stars expecting freebies, "A lot of people like free clothes, and not everyone needs free clothing. We're not an endless closet. It's a lot of work and energy and time and money that we put into clothes. This is what we do for a living."
While Siriano remains firm on his policy regarding complimentary clothing for everyday television shoots, he makes an exception for notable occasions like the Oscars.
"If you're winning an Oscar, it's a little different," he explained. "A little different than like, going to the corner store on the episode of 'The Housewives.' "
On a brighter note, Siriano has achieved one of his cherished goals. The designer was elated to dress Halle Berry for the 2025 Oscars, fulfilling what he described as his "greatest goal in my whole career."

David Tennant Criticizes JK Rowling for 'Demonizing' the Trans Community: 'Just Let People Be'

David Tennant is urging J.K. Rowling to curb her anti-trans comments. The 55-year-old actor, who played Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, voiced his opinion about J.K. openly celebrating the U.K.’s Supreme Court ruling that trans women should not be recognized as women under the Equality Act.
“When I was a teenager, there was this thing that Margaret Thatcher’s government introduced called section 28, which was about stopping the promotion of homosexuality in school, which was a weird umbrella term, which was basically saying it was illegal to talk about being gay in school, or to suggest that that might be a normal way of behaving,” he said while on a recent episode of The Assembly, per The Guardian.
“We look back on that now as a medieval, absurd thing to try and say, and I think the way the trans community is being demonized and othered is exactly the same,” he added.
He continued, “J.K. Rowling is a wonderful author who’s created brilliant stories, and I wish her no ill will, but I hope that we can all as a society, just let people be. Just get out of people’s way.”
If you didn’t see, earlier this month, another actor criticized J.K.‘s support of the U.K.’s anti-trans ruling.

President Trump Records Lowest 100-Day Approval Since Eisenhower Era

Well, what y’all expect? Despite entering his term with robust poll numbers, a recent survey conducted by CNN and SSRS indicates a significant shift in public perception of the current president’s performance as he approaches his 100th day in office.
The president’s 41% approval rating stands as the lowest recorded for a newly elected president at this juncture, dating back at least to Dwight Eisenhower. This statistic includes the president’s previous term.
A decline of 4 percentage points since March, and 7 points since late February, has been observed in approval ratings regarding the president’s handling of his duties. A new low of 22% of respondents expressed strong approval, while 45% indicated strong disapproval.
Noteworthy decreases in approval were observed among women and Hispanic Americans since March, with a 7-point drop in each group, resulting in approval rates of 36% among women and 28% among Hispanic Americans. Partisan viewpoints remain consistently polarized, with 86% of Republicans expressing approval and 93% of Democrats expressing disapproval. Among political independents, the president’s approval rating has fallen to 31%, matching a previous low point from his first term and aligning with his standing in January 2021.
The poll reveals a decline in public confidence across nearly all key policy areas addressed by the president.
Approval ratings concerning economic issues have notably decreased since early March, coinciding with the implementation of tariff plans that led to stock market volatility and concerns about rising prices. Approval ratings on inflation have decreased by 9 points to 35%, and on tariffs, by 4 points to 35%. The president’s approval rating for handling the economy has fallen by 5 points to a career low of 39%, matching a previous low from his first term and a recent low from March. Only 52% of respondents expressed confidence in his economic management, a 13-point decline compared to a December CNN poll.
“I’m disappointed. I didn’t vote for him. I was going to give him the benefit of doubt, because I figured, you know, he could do things to help the economy and … further disappointment,” stated a 55-year-old Virginia resident, identifying as an independent poll participant who has worked in federal government for over two decades. She requested anonymity.
Overall, public confidence in the president’s ability to responsibly exercise presidential power (46%, down 8 points) and provide effective national leadership (50%, down 9 points) has decreased significantly since December. This shift coincides with the president’s issuance of numerous executive orders that have faced legal challenges.
