#MAGFAB: Bad Bunny for VARIETY Magazine

In a new cover story for VARIETY, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, speaks to Music Reporter Thania Garcia about “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” — a 30-night residency at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan — and his upcoming world tour. He also discusses the backlash he’s faced from spending time with Hollywood’s elite (including Kendall Jenner), rumors that his tour will be a “Bad Bunny Eras Tour,” why he’s not doing any shows in the United States, his acting career, and more
“The idea for the residency was always there, for as long as I can remember. But it became difficult to ignore, the more time passed. I’ll admit, it was hard to complete my last tour, because all I wanted to do was move into this chapter.”
The first nine shows of “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” have been made exclusively available to residents of the island, who, to purchase tickets, were required to present proof of residence at one of nine locations.
“Before the residency, my fantasy for the longest time was to do a massive free show in Puerto Rico that could be locals only. And if it were up to me, all of the shows for the locals would be free, but what we’ve got planned now is next level.”

The team has recruited more than 1,000 local workers, from stagehands to crew, in preparation for the shows.
“We’re trying our best to follow the nature of the album and preserve Puerto Rican traditions across all aspects of what we do.”

On his upcoming stadium tour:
Martínez is the first Latin artist to sell out stadiums in European hot spots like Poland and France. He’s set to perform a string of 12 shows in Spain, where he broke the record for the most tickets sold in the country on a single tour.

“I don’t know if this is a good or bad habit yet, but I prefer not to think about the numbers or the weight of everything. Because then I start, ‘Should I be proud? Should I be nervous? Should I just act like this is totally normal for me?’ When they first showed me the routing for the stadium tour, I was like, ‘Two nights in Sweden?!’ Bro, I thought it was a prank.”

On the backlash from Puerto Rican fans who claim he’s a sellout for being seen with Hollywood’s elite:
Who’s who in Bad Bunny’s orbit has been a hot topic of tabloid blabber ever since he temporarily relocated to Los Angeles in 2023. That’s when he regularly appeared in paparazzi shots with Kendall Jenner. For many, the image of their hometown hero rubbing elbows with Hollywood’s elite was all the proof they needed to brand him a sellout.

“I’m still me, my greatest friends are still the ones from my childhood, and in the middle of it all, there’s always Puerto Rico. It’s not like I’m living a detached reality — I still live on the island. Of course, there’s a line you hit in terms of relatability when you become famous. But Puerto Rico has a very rough and real duality to it: One moment you can say, ‘I love living here; I’m proud to be from here,’ and other times, you’re like, ‘Fuck, man, pa’l carajo, todo’ [‘To hell with everything.’]…That’s why I chose to call this tour ‘I Don’t Want to Leave Here.’ It’s not always paradise, but it’s also a place that requires you to exercise enough resistance to say, ‘I don’t want to leave, and no one can make me.’ It’s a phrase that comes from pride, pain and love.”

On rumors that his stadium tour will serve as a “Bad Bunny Eras Tour”:
“First of all, I’m not Taylor Swift. I want to clarify now so that they don’t get so excited: It’s not going to be organized that way. It’s still very much a tour for [‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos,’] with some older songs sprinkled in.”

On why he’s not doing any tour dates in the United States:
“It’s unnecessary,” pointing out that fans in the U.S. have had no shortage of opportunities to see him perform over the past six years.

On his acting career:
“I like to pick projects that teach me new things. And I don’t like to settle on the first thing that comes. An acting performance is as important as a concert.”

On why his approach to shows stays the same, whether he’s in a packed arena overseas or back home in Puerto Rico:
“I like to perform like nobody there knows who I am or what I’ve accomplished. The stage is where I’m the most present and happiest. I’ll probably be doing this until I’m an old man…At times, I do think, cabrón, what I’m signing up for is a lot. But the way I see it, I’m not a doctor; I’m not a teacher; I’m not someone who has to wake up every morning at 5 a.m. to lay down concrete on a busy road to survive. My job is to fucking sing, and even though it comes with its own set of sacrifices, it feels silly to complain about it.”

On keeping a close circle of friends and associates:
“I’ve always felt that I read people extremely well. I’m very intuitive with who and how I spend my time. I take care of my mental and heart space, bien cabrón. There are people that I work with who I’ve known since I was a kid, and what a blessing that is — to know that despite the outside world and time passing, or anything, they still love me the same.”

#HipHopNews: Quavo And Offset Pay Tribute To Takeoff On His 31st Birthday: "[Happy] Rocket Day"
The tribute included heartfelt Instagram posts and public acknowledgment of their bond.
Takeoff’s legacy continues through Quavo’s Rocket Foundation and ongoing efforts to fight gun violence.
Fans responded emotionally to the reunion, viewing it as a moment of healing and remembrance in Hip Hop.

June 18 would’ve been Takeoff’s 31st birthday. To mark the occasion, Quavo and Offset took to social media to celebrate their late Migos groupmate alongside fans.

On his Instagram, Quavo shared a handful of solo shots of the “Last Memory” rapper with the caption, “Rocket Day. Happy Birthday, nephew. I love you.” Jacquees, Jim Jones, Don Toliver, and Fabolous all showed love in the comments, with Murda Beatz notably adding, “Happy birthday, Take.”
Offset, meanwhile, dedicated a few Instagram Stories to the moments they spent together. “Happy G-Day, Rocket Man,” one post read, while another was simply captioned, “Birthday King.”

Takeoff was fatally shot in downtown Houston on Nov. 1, 2022. Only 28 at the time, he was with Quavo attending a private event at 810 Billiards & Bowling when a dice game turned into gunfire. Unfortunately, justice for the late rapper’s death has been slow-moving and seemingly stalled.

In 2023, murder suspect Patrick Xavier Clark was released on a $1 million bond and placed under house arrest. According to FOX 26 Houston, by November of that year, his house arrest was lifted and replaced with conditions prohibiting him from going within 200 feet of the bowling alley or contacting any witnesses, victims, and family members connected to Takeoff.
Since Takeoff’s passing, Quavo has made it a point to preserve his memory, both musically and through The Rocket Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at reducing gun violence.

“When I saw [Takeoff] laying there, I felt like I saw me laying there. So, when I’m doing something like The Rocket Foundation, I just wanted to uplift his legacy and keep his name alive. That’s why we are here,” the “Himothy” rapper explained during a fireside chat at the White House with Kamala Harris, per Variety.

The U.S inserts itself into Israel’s war with Iran, striking 3 Iranian nuclear sites
Saturday evening on Truth Social, Donald Trump made a startling announcement: “The United States has just dropped bombs on Iran.” According to Trump, U.S. forces targeted three nuclear facilities, Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, and the strike planes “have left Iranian air space.” He also sent kudos to the troops, congratulating the “great American Warriors” who conducted the operation. Despite the attack, he emphasized, “Now is the time for peace.”

Trump’s message caught many off guard, as he had previously indicated that a decision on deeper U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict could take up to two weeks. Observers had noted dramatic military movements earlier that day: B‑2 bombers deployed from the United States, journeying across the Pacific toward Iran, a clear sign that confrontation was approaching.

The strikes follow a wave of exchanges between Israel and Iran. Late last week, Israel launched a surprise attack on Iranian targets, prompting a swift and heavy Iranian missile response. Video from Tel Aviv and Tehran shows extensive destruction. Iran’s health ministry reports “more than 400 people in Iran have been killed … with around 3,500 injured since the bombings began.” By comparison, NBC News cites that “just 24 Israeli civilians have been killed in retaliatory strikes.”

The unfolding conflict is also intensifying political divisions within the MAGA base. A recent segment of “The Tucker Carlson Show” featured Senator Ted Cruz advocating for robust U.S. support of Israel. Carlson pushing back, accusing Cruz of lacking understanding of basic facts, even quipping about Cruz not knowing Israel’s population.

With tensions escalating and global attention fixed on the region, the world now watches to see if Trump’s declaration of seeking peace holds or if it marks the start of a broader escalation.

HE SAID YES! Jussie Smollett Is officially engaged
Jussie Smollett is engaged. The announcement comes as a positive development in the actor’s personal life amid his ongoing legal challenges that have dominated headlines for several years.
The 43-year-old “Empire” actor revealed he proposed to partner Jabari Redd and he “said yes.” Celebrity engagements often generate significant social media attention, with engagement posts typically receiving considerably more interactions than regular content across various platforms.

“I’ll be spending my birthday with my Fiancé … He said YES,” Jussie shared some pictures on Instagram and wrote. The post quickly garnered thousands of likes and comments from fans and fellow celebrities within hours of being published, demonstrating the continued public interest in his personal life.

The series of photos showed a frame-by-frame timeline of how Smollett popped the question on a sidewalk outside a restaurant. Public proposals have become increasingly popular in recent years, with many couples choosing to share these intimate moments in public settings rather than private locations, often creating memorable experiences that can be captured and shared.
“Screaming with tears of joy! My whole heart loves both of you @jussiesmollett. Welcome to the family @jabariredd,” his actress sister Jurnee Smollett commented. The Smollett family has remained close-knit throughout various personal and professional challenges, often showing public support for each other during difficult times and celebrating achievements together.

“I was WAITINGGGGGG!!!!!! congratulations you 2. I pray blessings cover you as you’ve covered each other,” and, their other sister Jazz Smollett, added. Family support plays a crucial role in celebrity relationships, with research indicating that family approval significantly increases relationship satisfaction and long-term success rates among couples in the public eye.

“My babies,” Jussie’s ‘Empire’ co-star Taraji P. Henson wrote. The show, which ran for six seasons, made Smollett a household name and established lasting friendships among the cast members who continue to support each other’s personal and professional endeavors years after the series concluded.
Meanwhile, back in 2019, Jussie alleged he was the victim of a hate crime. The case became one of the most controversial legal stories in recent entertainment history, drawing national attention and sparking widespread debate about hate crimes, media coverage, and the complexities of high-profile legal proceedings.

He was sentenced to 150 days in jail in March 2022 after being found guilty of lying about being a victim of a racist and homophobic attack and making a false police report, but his convictions were overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court after his legal team lodged an appeal. The legal proceedings involved extensive investigations by Chicago police and became a focal point for discussions about justice system procedures.
Smollett‘s attorneys claimed that the actor’s rights were violated after a special prosecutor decided to retry him, even though the initial charges against him were dropped. Legal experts have noted that such cases involving double jeopardy claims are particularly complex and often require extensive appellate review, highlighting the intricacies of the American legal system.

Smollett has always maintained his innocence, insisting “there was no hoax” and that he was the target of a hate crime. The case highlighted broader issues surrounding hate crime reporting and the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and people of color in the justice system, sparking conversations about bias and representation.

The engagement announcement represents a significant shift toward positive personal news for Smollett, who has largely stayed out of the public eye since his legal troubles began. Celebrity rehabilitation often involves strategic personal revelations that help reshape public perception and allow individuals to reclaim control of their narrative in the media landscape.
Industry observers note that Smollett’s career prospects remain uncertain, as Hollywood has shown mixed reactions to celebrities involved in legal controversies. The entertainment industry continues to grapple with questions about redemption, forgiveness, and the appropriate consequences for public figures who face legal challenges.

The announcement also highlights the importance of personal relationships during times of crisis, with many celebrities crediting their partners and families for providing stability during periods of intense public scrutiny. Strong personal relationships can significantly impact mental health outcomes during high-stress situations and provide essential emotional support.
As Jussie moves forward with this new chapter in his personal life, the entertainment industry continues to wrestle with complex questions about second chances, career rehabilitation, and the long-term impact of legal controversies on artistic careers and public perception in an increasingly connected world.

Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty To Grievous Bodily Harm Charge In UK Assault Case

The reported victim, music producer Abe Diaw, claims Brown attacked him with a bottle during the alleged altercation.
Brown remains free on a £5 million bond and will return to court in July.
The trial is set to begin in October 2026.
On Friday (June 20), Chris Brown appeared at London’s Southwark Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to one count of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm. The “Residuals” singer’s charge stems from an alleged 2023 nightclub incident in which he was accused of attacking a music producer with a bottle.

“Not guilty, ma’am,” Brown, dressed in a navy-blue suit, told the court clerk when asked for his plea, according to NBC News. He also faces two additional charges — one count of assault and one of possessing an offensive weapon — and will enter pleas for those at his next hearing on July 11.

Until then, Brown remains free, with his trial set to begin on Oct. 26, 2026.
Brown was initially taken into U.K. police custody in May over the alleged altercation. District Judge Joanne Hirst originally ruled that the charges were “too serious” to grant bail, but the 11:11 artist was ultimately released later that month on a hefty £5 million bond (roughly $6.7 million). He paid £4 million upfront, then another £1 million in the days that followed.

As part of the conditions, Brown had to surrender his passport, though he can temporarily regain it whenever he travels for his “Breezy Bowl XX Stadium World Tour.” In fact, the singer’s court hearing on Friday took place the morning after he played a packed show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Thursday (June 19).
Brown’s tour resumes on Saturday (June 21) in London and is scheduled to run through October. Bryson Tiller, Jhené Aiko, and Summer Walker are expected to join him on select dates along the way.

Miley Cyrus Shares an Emotional Note to Beyoncé After Their ‘II Most Wanted’ Duet in Paris
Miley Cyrus joined Beyoncé in Paris to perform “II Most Wanted” on the Cowboy Carter Tour.
Shortly after their duet, Cyrus shared a heartfelt message to Beyoncé on Instagram, reflecting on their friendship and performing live together.

Brendan Paul, Diddy’s Ex-Assistant, Details Graphic “Freak-Off” Preparation And Clean-Up

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former assistant, Brendan Paul, took the stand on Friday (June 20) to deliver his testimony about his time working for the embattled music mogul — detailing “freak-off” preparation and the clean-up afterwards.
Paul testified that he worked 100-hour weeks for the 55-year-old, who has pleaded not guilty to federal charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The ex-staff member described his role as “advancing” hotel locations, which meant setting up rooms before Diddy’s arrival. That included bringing baby oil, lubricant, condoms, candles, liquor, and arranging room service for extra towels, sheets, and water. Paul recalled how he would prep rooms for what Diddy referred to as “wild king nights” — another term used for “freak-offs.”

Although Paul said he didn’t witness the acts themselves, he knew they involved sex and partying. “I didn’t know what went on, but I just knew what I had to bring,” he told the court. Allegedly, his job was to also clean up. “I would put on gloves for sanity reasons,” he claimed, adding that he’d place used towels and sheets “in a nice pile” and leave tips for hotel staff. Still, the damage sometimes went beyond his efforts. “The rooms were in disarray,” he said. “I would try to avoid getting damage charges.”

Despite his clean-up, Paul claimed hotels often charged Diddy substantial fees for the aftermath. At Miami’s St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in December 2021, the mogul was allegedly hit with a $6,000 bill for “losses and damages.” At The London West Hollywood in January 2023, a $3,750 charge was allegedly issued after hotel staff discovered “bodily fluids stained on the wood floor” and “used linens in various sections of the room.”

By April of that same year, another $1,800 charge was allegedly levied for towels “soaked in baby oil” and evidence of smoking in the room.
During his testimony, defense attorney Brian Steel asked Paul if drugs were “a minor part” of his role, to which Paul agreed, while adding that he was “absolutely not” a drug mule. When he was arrested in March 2024 with 0.7 grams of cocaine, Paul said he hadn’t realized he still had it on him.

“I was sweeping his room earlier that morning,” he explained, “I grabbed the drugs and put them in my bag and I forgot to put it elsewhere.” When asked why he didn’t tell police the drugs weren’t his, Paul answered, “Loyalty.” When asked how he feels about Diddy now, Paul simply responded, “It’s complicated.”
The government is expected to rest its case as early as Monday (June 23), with the defense possibly wrapping up by midweek. The father of seven is currently facing five serious federal charges that could see him behind bars for 15 years to life if convicted.

Fat Joe Sued For $20M By Ex-Hypeman Alleging Sex Acts With Minors, Psychological Coercion, And More
Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, longtime hype man for Fat Joe, has filed a federal lawsuit accusing the Bronx rapper of an array of egregious misconduct — including underage sexual exploitation, coercion, financial fraud, and violent intimidation. The suit comes after the “Lean Back” rapper filed a lawsuit against Dixon in April for extortion after the defendant publicly accused Joe of being a “pedophile” and cheating on his wife with reality TV star Erica Mena.

According to Variety, the 157-page complaint, filed Thursday (June 20) in New York, outlines years of alleged abuse and manipulation that Dixon says unfolded behind the scenes while he supported Fat Joe on and off stage.
Dixon is seeking $20,000,000 in damages, asserting that his former boss — real name, Joseph Antonio Cartagena — engaged in “coercive labor exploitation, financial fraud, sexual manipulation, violent intimidation, and psychological coercion.” The suit alleges that despite his input as a lyricist, vocalist, and performer on tracks like “Congratulations,” “Ice Cream,” and “Money Over Bi**hes,” Dixon was uncredited and unpaid.

Even more disturbing are Dixon’s claims that Fat Joe engaged in sexual activity with underage girls, referencing three specific Jane Does — one of whom was allegedly flown to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic in exchange for cash, clothes, and phone bills.
The suit claims that Dixon “personally witnessed [Fat Joe] engage in sexual relations with children who were fifteen and sixteen years old.” According to the legal documents, Minor Doe 2 is described as a Caucasian female and a non-U.S. citizen who allegedly began a sexual relationship with the defendant at age 15 following a concert overseas. The suit claims Fat Joe flew her to New York City and Miami on multiple occasions.

The documents further allege that due to Minor Doe 2’s adolescent and undeveloped body, the defendant paid for her to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift. Allegedly, she eventually cut ties with him and is now reportedly married to a professional athlete. Meanwhile, Minor Doe 3 is described as a Latina female who allegedly met the defendant when she was 15, approaching her 16th birthday.
According to Dixon’s lawsuit, Joe was allegedly infatuated with Minor Doe 3 to the point of considering leaving his wife. The filing claims he covered all of her expenses, flew her out to various tour stops overseas, and even set her up in a Florida condo just blocks away from the home he shared with his wife. In a recorded conversation cited in the complaint, Minor Doe 3 and her then-15-year-old cousin reportedly described to Dixon how disturbing and inappropriate it was for Joe to allegedly have been fixated on underage girls.

The lawsuit includes accusations of orchestrated orgies, coerced sexual acts under surveillance, and threats of retaliation to witnesses — including alleged messages like “You love your family, right?” and “We let you live.” Dixon is represented by Tyrone Blackburn, the same attorney leading civil litigation against Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In response, Fat Joe’s attorney Joe Tacopina vehemently denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit an “act of retaliation” and part of a coordinated attempt to extort the rapper. Tacopina says law enforcement is already aware of the “extortionate demand” and vowed to hold Dixon and Blackburn accountable. “The allegations against Mr. Cartagena are complete fabrications — lies intended to damage his reputation and force a settlement through public pressure,” Tacopina stated. “Mr. Cartagena will not be intimidated.”

The suit comes just months after Fat Joe sued Dixon in April, claiming the former hypeman defamed him online and tried to shake him down for a settlement. According to Variety, Dixon thinks his lawsuit is the only way to hold the rapper accountable, saying, “This is the right way to fight Joe — through the system. You can’t fight him no other way. Joe think he’s a god. Joe thinks he’s untouchable.”

Dixon has requested a jury trial.

Ciara Addresses Old Rihanna Beef And says Their cool now.

Ciara and Rihanna may not have always gotten along, but now, it looks like the two songstresses have been able to put their differences behind them. Back in 2011, the "Goodies" performer appeared on an episode of E!'s Fashion Police. She made a less-than-flattering remark about the Fenty founder, resulting in a fiery back and forth on Twitter. "I ran into her recently at a party, and she wasn’t the nicest," Ciara said at the time.

"My bad Ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme," Rihanna fired back on the social media platform, now known as X. "Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off the stage," Ciara responded. Rihanna then dished out what would soon become an iconic comeback, writing "Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of."

The two women ultimately made up after the "Diamonds" singer apologized, admitting that she only threw shade online because her feelings were hurt. "Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I'm heartbroken! That's y I retaliated this way! So sorry," she said.
"Rhi u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows/everything. you threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let’s chat in person," Ciara replied.

They hadn't been photographed together until the 2025 Met Gala, however, where they appeared to be on good terms. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week, Ciara was asked about their past feud, and where the two of them stand now.
"Oh my gosh, we were babies. Now we're mamas doing our thing. It's all love," she explained, as captured by The Shade Room. "We got to have a good conversation and she's now having her third baby, which is so cool. So shout out to mamas out here doing everything ... CiCi got a lot of love for RiRi.

Serayah and Joey Bada$$ celebrate new baby arrival
The entertainment world has another reason to celebrate as actress Serayah McNeill and rapper Joey Bada$$ have officially entered parenthood with the birth of their first child, a son. The milestone represents a significant moment for both performers, who have built successful careers in their respective fields while maintaining a relatively private relationship.

Serayah, widely recognized for her portrayal of singer Tiana Brown on the Fox musical drama series Empire, shared the news through social media, posting an intimate photograph featuring her newborn’s small foot. The image, shared on Snapchat, provided fans with their first glimpse of the couple’s newest family member while maintaining the privacy they have consistently sought throughout their relationship.

The path to parenthood began publicly in February 2025 when the couple announced their pregnancy. The news came as a delightful surprise to many followers who had been tracking their relationship since it became public knowledge in 2023. However, the foundation of their connection traces back to 2021, when mutual acquaintances introduced the two artists.
Their relationship developed gradually, with both individuals maintaining focus on their professional commitments while nurturing their personal bond. Serayah continued her acting pursuits following Empire’s conclusion, while Joey Bada$$, born Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, sustained his position as a prominent figure in contemporary hip-hop through his work with the Pro Era collective and solo projects.

The announcement of their pregnancy in early 2025 marked a turning point for the couple, who had previously kept many aspects of their relationship away from public scrutiny. Their approach to sharing personal milestones has consistently balanced transparency with privacy, allowing fans to celebrate their journey while respecting their boundaries.
Serayah‘s career trajectory gained significant momentum through her Empire role, where she portrayed an aspiring singer navigating the competitive music industry. The character’s storylines often reflected real-world challenges faced by young artists, providing Serayah with opportunities to showcase both her acting and musical abilities. Her performance on the series, which ran from 2015 to 2020, established her as a recognizable face in contemporary television.

Beyond Empire, Serayah has pursued various entertainment ventures, including music releases and appearances in other television productions. Her social media presence has grown substantially, with followers appreciating her fashion sense, lifestyle content, and occasional glimpses into her personal life.
Joey Bada$$‘s musical career began in his teenage years when he co-founded the hip-hop collective Pro Era alongside fellow Brooklyn-based artists. His debut mixtape, released in 2012, garnered critical acclaim and established him as a notable voice in East Coast hip-hop. Subsequent projects have reinforced his reputation as a thoughtful lyricist who addresses social issues while maintaining street credibility.

The rapper’s artistic output has consistently reflected his Brooklyn roots and experiences growing up in New York City. His music often incorporates elements of classic East Coast hip-hop while addressing contemporary social and political issues, earning respect from both critics and peers within the industry.
The couple’s journey into parenthood carries significance beyond their personal lives, contributing to broader conversations about representation in entertainment and media. Young Black families in the public eye provide important visibility for communities that have historically been underrepresented in mainstream media narratives.

Their relationship and growing family offer audiences authentic examples of successful young professionals building lives together while maintaining individual career ambitions. This representation becomes particularly meaningful in an era where diverse family structures and relationship dynamics receive increased attention and celebration.

The entertainment industry has witnessed growing emphasis on authentic storytelling and representation across various platforms. Celebrity couples like Serayah and Joey Bada$$ contribute to this evolution by sharing their experiences while maintaining agency over their narratives.
As the couple transitions into their roles as parents, questions arise about how they will balance professional commitments with family responsibilities. Both individuals have demonstrated dedication to their respective crafts while building their relationship, suggesting they will approach parenthood with similar intentionality.

The entertainment industry’s demanding schedules and travel requirements present unique challenges for working parents, particularly those in music and television. However, many successful artists have navigated these challenges while maintaining thriving careers and family lives.
Their son’s arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter that will likely influence both artists’ future projects and public presence. Many performers have found that parenthood provides fresh inspiration for their creative work, leading to projects that explore themes of family, legacy, and personal growth.

The couple’s approach to sharing their parenthood journey will likely continue reflecting their preference for selective privacy. Their ability to maintain boundaries while engaging with fans has characterized their relationship from its early public stages.
This newest addition to their family represents not only personal fulfillment but also continuation of their individual legacies through the next generation. As they navigate the joys and challenges of raising their son, their experiences will undoubtedly resonate with other young parents facing similar transitions.

The birth of their child stands as a testament to love, commitment, and the building of family in the public eye while maintaining authenticity and personal values.

In its second weekend at the box office, “Sinners” earned $45 million domestically, marking an impressive 6% drop from its opening weekend number. To date, the film has grossed more than $360 million on a reported $90 million production budget.

Judge Denies R. Kelly Emergency Motion
This week Grammy Award winning singer / songwriter, R. Kelly, suffered an overdose in solitary confinement, just days after his legal team filed an emergency motion for his immediate release, claiming prison officials put a hit on him

The motion has been denied...R. Kelly’s emergency motion for home detention in an effort to protect him from what he claims is a “widespread conspiracy” to have him killed was denied by a judge on Thursday, who said his claims were not backed up by evidence.
The disgraced R&B singer’s request would see him taken out of prison and on temporary furlough. Judge Martha M. Pacold’s upholding of Judge Harry Leinenweber’s 2023 sentencing of 240 months of imprisonment came one week after Kelly was rushed to the hospital after overdosing on prescription medication given to him by prison staff.

#RIP: Lynn Hamilton, ‘Sanford and Son’ and ‘The Waltons’ Actress, Dies at 95

Lynn Hamilton, a retired actress who had a recurring role as Donna Harris in “Sanford and Son,” died on June 19. She was 95.
Hamilton died in her home in Chicago of natural causes, according to a Facebook post from her former manager and publicist, Rev. Calvin Carson.
“Her illustrious career, spanning over five decades, has left an indelible mark on the world of entertainment, motivating audiences across the globe through her work as a model, stage, film and television actress,” he wrote.

In addition to “Sanford and Son,” the actress held a recurring role on “The Waltons” as Verdie Grant Foster. She also made several TV appearances in sitcoms, soap operas and miniseries including, “Roots: The Next Generations” (1979), “The Golden Girls” (1985), “227” (1985), “Generations” (1989),  “Dangerous Women” (1991) and “Port Charles” (1997).

Born in Yazoo City, Miss., Hamilton moved with her parents to Chicago Heights, Ill., at 12 years old. She attended Bloom High School but gained acting experience at Goodman Theatre, beginning her career in Chicago’s community theater scene. She also spent three years with the New York Shakespeare Festival and was a member of President Kennedy’s cultural exchange program, where she toured and performed in “The Miracle Worker” and “The Skin of Our Teeth.” In 1966, she joined the Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Once she took her talents on-screen, the first project Hamilton appeared in was John Cassavetes’ 1958 drama “Shadows,” where she held a background role during a party scene.
She then went on to appear in NBC’s “Sanford and Son” in the seventh episode of the series as a landlady before being cast in a recurring role as Fred Sanford’s girlfriend and fiancée on the TV sitcom. Her character, Donna, was a nurse who frequently cared for Fred (played by Redd Foxx). She worked on the sitcom from 1972 to 1977.

While on “Sanford and Son,” Hamilton made her debut as Verdie on the drama series “The Waltons.” Her recurring role lasted from 1973 to 1981. Jon Bernthal’s Punisher Set for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ With Tom Holland
The Punisher returns. Jon Bernthal is suiting up as the vigilante once again for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” Sony and Marvel’s latest web-slinging adventure.
Bernthal first suited up as Punisher, aka Frank Castle, in Netflix’s 2016 series “Daredevil,” becoming a fan-favorite before starring in his own spin-off series “The Punisher” in 2017, which ran for two seasons. He most recently returned to the role earlier this year in the Disney+ series “Daredevil: Born Again.” He’s set to appear in the second season, and will return again for a 2026 Disney+ special centered on Punisher from director Reinaldo Marcus Green.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” marks the fourth film centered on Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, following the Jon Watts-directed “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017), “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019) and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021)
Plot details on the fourth installment remain under wraps. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will swing into theaters on July 31, 2026.
“I know we left you with a massive cliff hanger at the end of ‘No Way Home,’ so ‘Spider Man: Brand New Day’ is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say,” Holland told the crowd at CinemaCon earlier this year via video message.

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton will direct “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who play Peter Parker’s besties MJ and Ned, are expected to return. “Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink will also appear in the film.
The three previous films have all been box office successes, with “Homecoming” grossing $880 million, “Far From Home” earning $1.13 billion and “No Way Home” generating $1.9 billion globally.

Bernthal is represented by CAA and Sloane Offer.

Florida Father Arrested For Leaving Toddler To Die In Hot Car While He Got A Haircut & Drake At Bar

A Florida father is behind bars after allegedly leaving his 18-month-old son to die in a sweltering vehicle while he got a haircut and drank at a bar.

Police say 33-year-old Scott Allen Gardner left toddler Sebastian inside his truck for over three hours on June 6, while he visited Hanky Panky’s Lounge in Ormond Beach. Temperatures outside hit 92 degrees, and the child’s body temperature soared to 111 degrees before he died.

Gardner allegedly gave investigators false accounts of what happened. “The same OBPD officer who tried to revive Sebastian placed Gardner in handcuffs today,” the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said. Bodycam footage captured the moment he was arrested at his mother’s home.

Gardner was booked into Volusia County Jail and charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child and child neglect causing great bodily harm. As he was taken away, two people shouted “I love you,” to which Gardner replied, “I love you guys.”

Columbia Activist Mahmoud Khalil Freed After Judge Overrules ICE Detention
After spending over three months in federal detention, Columbia University pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil walked free from an ICE facility in Jena, Louisiana, Friday evening.
Khalil, a green card holder and U.S. permanent resident originally from Algeria, was detained by ICE in New York back in March. He arrived in New Jersey post-release and shared emotional words with reporters: “The hundreds of men who are left behind me shouldn’t be there in the first place. The Trump administration are doing their best to dehumanize everyone here — whether you are a U.S. citizen, an immigrant or just a person on this land, doesn’t mean that you are less of a human.”

A federal ruling from U.S. District Judge Michael Farbiarz ordered his release, overriding an earlier decision by an immigration judge who denied bond and ordered Khalil’s deportation. The Department of Homeland Security slammed Farbiarz’s decision, calling him “one rogue district judge” and claiming his order undermines national security and public confidence in the courts.
The release conditions, set by Magistrate Judge Michael Hammer, do not include electronic monitoring or immediate bond payment. Khalil must surrender his passport and limit travel to certain states.

During the hearing, the DOJ argued Khalil shouldn’t get his green card back, citing the deportation order. However, Judge Hammer sided with Khalil’s attorneys.
Khalil’s legal team contends his detention was politically motivated. “Retaliatory detention is the government’s goal,” said his attorney Alina Das, “as punishment for his speech and viewpoint.”
