#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Reveals Where She Stands with Riley's Dad Today
Riley Burruss is now 23 years old! The Next Gen NYC cast member celebrated her birthday on Aug. 22, with sweet yet hilarious tributes from her mom, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Kandi Burruss, and her dad, Russell "Block" Spencer.

Russell took to Instagram at the time of her birthday, where he posted both new and old photos of Riley. "Happy B'day to my baby girl [Riley]," he wrote in the caption of the post. He continued, leaving a message for his ex, who gave birth to Riley more than two decades ago. "[Kandi] u could have waited a couple of more [hours] and she would have been a [Virgo] and born on the same day as ME!" he added.

Kandi then took to the comments of the post, where she left a cheeky reply to Russell. "Absolutely not," she wrote. "She was already a week overdue." Russell replied to the comment with a series of crying while laughing emojis.
Kandi also took to her own Instagram account over the weekend, where she revealed that she traveled to NYC for a quick trip to visit Riley on her birthday. The singer snapped a photo with her oldest daughter in the middle of the streets, before filming a video with her outside of some Broadway theaters. "Had to come up here for my big baby. Happy birthday, Riley," Kandi said in the video. "She said she's so mature, and it's only been a day. 23!"

"I had to take a quick flight to NYC to see my baby girl for her bday!" Kandi wrote in the caption of the post. "I can't believe [Riley] is 23!"
Kandi added in a separate post, "I’m so proud of the woman she’s becoming and can’t wait for y’all to see what’s next."
And you can bet Kandi had yet another message for her daughter on her big day. "It’s my big baby’s birthday!!!!! Wow! I’m so thankful that God blessed me with you. I pray that God blesses you to accomplish all of your dreams & goals & that you always have joy," she wrote.
Kandi had previously opened up about her relationship with Russell in a November 2016 interview with The Daily Dish, and revealed why she had not talked about him on RHOA. "For me, that was never anything I want to exploit, the relationship between my daughter and her father," she explained.
Riley took to TikTok on May 16, where she posted a hilarious video of her and her dad lip-synching along to a sound. In the video, the father-daughter duo can be seen declaring basic things about a relationship to be the "bare minimum."

She also shared the moment on Instagram, tagging him in the post. "Don't make me call my dad," she wrote over the photos.

#HipHopNews: Lil Nas X Breaks His Silence And Calls Recent Arrest In Los Angeles “Terrifying”
Lil Nas X was arrested in Los Angeles after allegedly charging at police. He now faces four felony charges.
The rapper entered a not guilty plea and shared a message of resilience with fans on Instagram.
His father publicly defended him, denied drug involvement, and asked fans for continued support.

Lil Nas X is reassuring fans that he’s doing well following his widely publicized arrest in Los Angeles, though he admitted the ordeal left him shaken.
The rapper, whose legal name is Montero Lamar Hill, was taken into custody last Thursday (Aug. 21) after police responded to reports of a naked man along Ventura Boulevard. Authorities allege Hill charged at officers during the encounter, injuring three in the process. He now faces four felony charges, has pleaded not guilty, and has since been released on bail.

On Tuesday (Aug. 26), the Grammy winner spoke directly to supporters via Instagram Stories. “Your girl is gonna be okay, y’all. Okay? She’s gonna be alright,” he said in a calm tone. “S**t. That was f**king terrifying... That was a terrifying last four days. But your girl is gonna be alright.” The post marked his first public statement since the arrest.

In the wake of the incident, Lil Nas X’s father, Robert Stafford, also spoke out offering words of encouragement and clarity. Outside the jail where his son was in custody, Stafford told reporters that his son was “in good spirits” despite the legal turmoil. He emphasized that the family remains united and hopeful, dismissing speculation that drugs played a role. “Absolutely not,” he said when asked about substance involvement. “He’s very remorseful for what happened. But it can happen to any family. He’s going to get the help that he needs.”

Stafford added that his first conversation with his son after the arrest was emotional, filled with both tears and laughter. He urged fans to continue showing love and support, asking them to “give him the same grace and mercy that God gives everyone.” His attorney also expressed confidence that the case will be resolved in the artist’s favor.

Kennedy Center Honoree and Once an LGBTQ Icon Gloria Gaynor donated $22K to Republican campaigns, FEC filings show
Singer Gloria Gaynor has been donating to Republican politicians, an investigation into Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings by the liberal news website MeidasTouch showed.

The “I Will Survive” singer was recently announced by the president as one of several artists who will receive a Kennedy Center Honor as he took a more personal role in choosing this year’s nominees
Some people, like The View’s Ana Navarro, asked Gaynor not to accept the award from a president who has attacked so many people’s rights.

“Look, the woman is a goddess and deserves all the flowers that come her way,” Navarro said of Gaynor. “But I wish she wouldn’t accept an award from the hands of a man who has attacked the rights and history of women, people of color and LGBTQ. The gay community in particular, helped turn her signature song into an anthem.”

However, it was unclear where Gaynor (whose real name is Gloria Fowles) stood on electoral politics. In 2017, she even said in a speech that she’s “really not a political person, so I’m not about to really become political.” She vaguely stated that “a lot needs to change,” but didn’t talk about specific policies.
Her political donations, though, tell a different story. In 2016, she made a small donation of $35 to Ben Carson’s Republican campaign, but that was her only campaign contribution until 2023.

But between 2023 and 2025, she made 64 political donations, many through the WinRed PAC, a political action committee that passes along donations to Republican campaigns. She also donated directly to the campaigns of several Republicans, including those of Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), both of whom are anti-LGBTQ+.

The group MeidasTouch compiled a list of her contributions during this time period, totaling approximately $22,000.

Mike Johnson – $2,160.57
Kevin McCarthy – $356.15
The National Republican Senatorial Committee – $1,190.53
Marsha Blackburn – $2,041.50
Dave McCormick – $,1223.05
Josh Hawley – $1,242.28
Ted Cruz – $476.18
Marco Rubio – $114.10
Maria Elvira Salazar – $242.18
Mazi Pilip –  $682.28
Elise Stefanik – $1,173.05
Nick Begich – $847.76
Wesley Hunt – $868.00
Jim Jordan – $1.173.05
Vivek Ramaswamy – $1,219.14
Nikki Haley – $1,123.05
Ben Carson – $235.00
Steve Garvey – $1,023.05
Mayra Flores – $1,123.05
Daniel Norber – $1,115.04
Tayler Rahm – $1,065.04
Service and Honor / Jake Ellzey – $827.52
New Journey PAC – $610.25

New Journey PAC is a political organization for Black conservatives. All of Gaynor’s donations to specific campaigns went to Republican campaigns.
There is no indication that she has donated money to the current president. In fact, she donated to the primary campaigns of several of his opponents, including entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former Gov. Nikki Haley, both of whom are anti-trans.

While Gaynor’s music is loved by many in the LGBTQ+ community, she has not stood up for LGBTQ+ rights. In fact, several years after the release of “I Will Survive,” she became a Christian and distanced herself from a past she considered sinful.
Asked in a 2007 interview with the U.K.’s Radio 4 if she had any opposition to homosexuality, Gaynor said of the gay community, “I want to lead them to Christ and what he has for them. I want to lead them to Him. I want to lead them to truth.”

She said her “I Will Survive” anthem provided “a platform for my purpose, which is to bring the love of Christ to all of my fans. Because they trust me, I think.”
It’s unclear what the president knows about Gaynor’s politics, but he did say earlier this month that he was “about 98% involved” in choosing the honorees, and he “turned down plenty” of people who were “too woke” or too liberal.

Katt Williams Might Be Pulled Into Comedian Reggie Carroll’s Murder Case

Don’t let the TMZ article fool you. This case is about to get crazier. Fast.
The death of comedian Reginald “Reggie” Carroll, who was fatally shot in Southaven on August 21, has rattled the comedy community. Fellow comic and creator Billy Sorrells is not playing games. He’s demanding answers and naming names. Bro is naming the big dogs.

In an Instagram Live broadcast, Sorrells alleged that Carroll was killed at a residence tied to comedian Katt Williams. This isn’t verified, but it’s very public. And, for some reason, he jabbed at other comedians for being silent. He name-checked a few big dogs, including Katt.
“Yeah, you might wanna go get TMZ for this one,” he said.” Yeah, y’all might need to go start tagging the blogs. What we not going to do is we not going to act like Katt… you didn’t know who the f### Reggie Carroll was. What we not going to do is act like Red Grant, you ain’t know who Reggie Carroll was. What we not going to do? You sit up here, Mo’Nique, and downplay who the f### Reggie Carroll was?”

Mo’Nique has pictures with Reggie, but I don’t believe she posted them post-death. I’m not sure what the relationship was with the other comics, but I do know generally there’s a kinship amongst these folks. Also, it’s my understanding that they all toured with Katt.
Billy added: “Katt Williams. You the truth teller. You the Lord of knowing so much truth. You the master of being able to tell everybody else this s###. Katt Williams… tell me why Reggie Carroll died out your house. Tell us what happened to Reggie Carroll.”

Billy Sorrells also identified the man arrested in connection with Carroll’s death as Tranell Williams, alleging that he may be related to Katt Williams. Now, we haven’t been privy to the details of the death, and I don’t expect anybody to speak out during an ongoing murder case. But, Billy isn’t biting his tongue. He took time to describe the man he says killed Reggie.

“Don’t sit here and be quiet now,” he said. “Tranell Williams. Got court on Wednesday, a 6’8”, 225-pound n###a. Y’all know what size Reggie was. Reggie was hit more than five times. Why y’all left Reggie out there on the motherf###ing curb by your crib?”

“Riddle me that. Everybody want to talk about who sucking d### and all this other bulls###. Tell us why my n###a dead. Katt, tell us why Reggie Carroll died at your house, n###a.”

For the record, authorities haven’t confirmed any family connection between the suspect and Katt Williams. But, court records list Tranell Williams as facing charges in Carroll’s death.
Neither Katt, Red nor Mo’Nique has commented publicly. The investigation is ongoing and I’m sure there will be more.

Lisa Cook Refuses to Step Down From the Federal Reserve Board
Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook said Monday she will not step down from her position following an unprecedented attempt to remove her from the central bank’s board, according to the Washington Post (WP). The move, which cites disputed mortgage fraud allegations, could trigger a court battle that reaches the Supreme Court.

Cook, the first Black woman to serve as a Fed governor, responded firmly in a statement, saying that the current federal government “purported to fire me ‘for cause’ when no cause exists under the law, and “has no authority to do so.” She added, “I will continue to carry out my duties to help the American economy as I have been doing since 2022.”
Cook, who was appointed in 2022, has retained high-profile attorney Abbe Lowell. He criticized the attempted dismissal, saying that the federal government’s “demands lack any proper process, basis or legal authority. We will take whatever actions are needed to prevent his attempted illegal action.”

Legal experts note that under the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, governors can only be removed “for cause.” Historically, that has been interpreted to mean serious misconduct or dereliction of duty. While the letter tied to the removal cites allegations of false statements on mortgage applications, Cook has not been charged with any crime.

The attempted dismissal quickly drew political reaction. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) called it “an authoritarian power grab that blatantly violates the Federal Reserve Act and must be overturned in court.”
If the removal is upheld, the balance of the Federal Reserve Board could shift, giving the current administration the ability to nominate another member and secure a majority of appointees. Fed Board governors serve staggered 14-year terms, making any changes to the board highly consequential for the future of U.S. monetary policy.

Financial market analysts said the markets showed an immediate reaction following the announcement, with the U.S. dollar index dipping.

Will Smith Accused Of Using AI-Generated Clips In Alleged “Fake” Concert Footage

Will Smith is facing backlash after fans accused him of using AI-generated footage in a recent Instagram post promoting his Based On A True Story Tour.
The video, shared on Aug. 12, shows Smith performing his motivational anthem “You Can Make It” in front of what appears to be a massive, adoring crowd, complete with waving signs and fans singing along.

In the clip, Smith is seen walking along the stage, eventually climbing a barricade as the camera pans to dozens of cheering concertgoers.

Many fans are holding signs, some featuring personal messages and tributes about how the star’s music and story have impacted their lives. Alongside the video, Smith captioned, “My favorite part of tour is seeing you all up close.”
However, viewers were quick to question the authenticity of the crowd, pointing out unnatural elements like extra fingers, distorted faces, and inconsistent hand shapes — hallmarks of generative AI content.

One skeptical user wrote, “Imagine using AI and generating a sign about Cancer. This is absolute [clown] behavior.” Another added, “An AI crowd being posted on the official page is maaaad embarrassing.”

A third fan quipped, “Fresh Prince of A.I. – The Bounce Back. This is awful,” while another chimed in,
“This use of AI is INSANE and downright sad.”
While the criticism mounted, others offered a more forgiving interpretation, suggesting the visual distortions could be the result of upscaling lower-resolution footage, rather than artificial generation.

Smith did not specify which show the footage came from, but it likely originates from one of his recent European stops — either Smukfest in Denmark on Aug. 7 or Dreambeach Festival in AlmerΓa, Spain on Aug. 9. As of now, Smith has not publicly addressed the accusations.
The renowned actor and rapper is currently nearing the end of the UK stretch of his tour, with upcoming shows in Manchester (Aug. 27), London (Aug. 28), Wolverhampton (Aug. 30), and Paris (Sept. 2).

Tyrese Gibson Opens Up About His Secular Lifestyle with Kirk Franklin and The Den of Kings Podcast.
Actor and singer Tyrese Gibson is known for his roles in blockbuster franchises like Fast & Furious and his chart-topping R&B hits.
However, in a recent interview, the entertainer took a more personal route, opening up about his sexual past and the realization that his lifestyle had reached a dangerous tipping point.

During a revealing appearance on Kirk Franklin’s Den of Kings podcast, Gibson didn’t shy away from discussing the large number of sexual partners he’s been with over the years — and how it eventually forced him to confront deeper issues within himself.

“I believe my number is a little scary,” the Cali native said of his body count. “I got to a point where a powerful man of God asked me a question,” Gibson shared. “Without even coming at me, he just said, ‘Hey, Reese, let me ask you, man. How many more?’”

Gibson went on to explain that he “didn’t feel attacked” by the question, because he had already begun to question his own behavior.
“I already had it in my head that I’m doing too much, too often. Too many cities, too many states, too many countries. It’s too much.”
The Grammy-nominated artist also explored the emotional and psychological factors behind his choices. “You either a sex addict and you out here just trying to put your weewee in everything and you just losing your damn mind, or it’s coming from something,” he said.

“What’s triggering your sexual appetite? Why do you want to do so much with so many?” For Gibson, the turning point came when he realized the lifestyle wasn’t sustainable.
“I had convinced myself that at a certain point it’s going to be over. All of this access that I have to all of these women, it’s going to be over soon. It’s going to be another situation where one minute you hot, and the next minute you not.”

“I was already prepared to settle down in my mind because I said if I keep moving the way I’m moving, I’ma die out here,” he admitted. “HIV, AIDS is inevitable [for] everyone.”
In recent years, Gibson has experienced highs and lows in his romantic life. He was previously married to Norma Mitchell, with whom he shares a daughter. He later married Samantha Lee in 2017, but the couple announced their separation in 2020.
Tyrese has since remained open about his desire for connection, as he’s currently dating Zelie Timothy, whom he’s been linked to since 2021.

‘Power’ actor Alix Lapri arrested on suspicion of cruelty to children

Alix Lapri, who portrayed Effie Morales on the Starz show “Power,” was arrested last week in Atlanta on suspicion of cruelty to children in the third degree and disorderly conduct, according to county records.
The actor, whose full name is Alexus Lapri Geier, was released the following day. Details on the circumstances surrounding the Aug. 17 arrest were not immediately clear.

The 28-year-old actor appeared in several episodes of “Power” as well as its sequel, “Power Book II: Ghost.” She also had a role in the film “Den of Thieves.” But Lapri hit the limelight as a singer
She released an EP in 2012 titled “I Am Alix Lapri.” Lapri also appeared on BET’s sitcom “Reed Between the Lines” alongside Tracee Ellis Ross and Malcolm-Jamal Warner.

The state of Georgia considers cruelty to children in the third degree to be a misdemeanor.
It occurs when a person “intentionally allows a child under age 18 to witness the commission of a forcible felony, battery, or family violence battery,” according to Child Welfare.

Lapri’s manager did not respond Tuesday to a request for comment. Calls to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office were not immediately returned.

Cracker Barrel Returns To Old Logo After Backlash, Promises To Restore Beloved ‘Old Timer’ Branding
Cracker Barrel has reversed course on its controversial rebrand, announcing it will scrap its new logo and keep the “Old Timer” after customer backlash.
“We thank your guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel,” the chain said in a statement to FOX Business. “We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain. At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been and always will be about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family.”

The Tennessee-based company acknowledged it “could have done a better job sharing who we are and who we’ll always be” after removing “Uncle Herschel” from its branding.
“What has not and will never change are the values Cracker Barrel was built on,” the company said, pointing to “hard work, family, and scratch-cooked food made with care” as its foundation since 1969

Deion Sanders 'praying' his son Shilo gets another NFL opportunity after Buccaneers waiver, preseason ejection

Shilo Sanders is a man without an NFL team, for a very well-known reason at this point. His father Deion Sanders says his son is going to be just fine.
Speaking to reporters Tuesday, the Colorado head coach said he was "praying" that another team will pick up Shilo in the wake of his waiver by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, adding that the 25-year-old will be fine either way:
"I'm proud of my kids, all of them. I prepared my kids for any and everything that could possibly happen in life and in sports. That's part of fathering, that's part of parenting, that's part of having a relationship. So, he is mentally where he needs to be, physically where he needs to be.

"We're praying that he gets another opportunity to go with a team. But if he doesn't, the plans have already been put forward to what he's going to do next. Shilo's a man of many talents and he's going to be straight. All of the Sanders are going to be straight, with or without football. You better believe that."
The younger Sanders made the bad kind of headlines Saturday when he was ejected from the Bucs' preseason finale for taking a swing at Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson. Davidson blocked Sanders through the end of the play, which led to Sanders winding up and smacking his opponent in the helmet.

Sanders entered the game already on the roster bubble after going unselected in the 2025 NFL Draft. A spot on the Bucs' 53-man roster appeared to be a long shot given his fall out of the draft wasn't a surprise — at least compared to his brother Shedeur's fifth-round selection — but Sanders' ejection likely made the decision easy.

Buccaneers head coach Toddy Bowles was frank about his thoughts on the incident after the game:
"You can't throw punches in this league. I mean, that's inexcusable. They're gonna get you every time. Gotta grow from that."
Sanders will now have to do that growth with a different team, unless Tampa Bay signs him to its practice squad. With Sanders on waivers, any NFL team can put in a claim for him until Wednesday afternoon. If he goes unclaimed, he will be a free agent and will likely need to join a team's practice squad to remain in the league.

This is all happening with the 25-year-old in a unique financial position, as he's going through a personal bankruptcy case in the wake of an $11 million legal judgement. Sanders filed for bankruptcy in 2023 in an attempt to erase a debt he owes to a former security guard he was accused of attacking in high school, who took him to court and won via a default judgement. It remains to be seen whether he will be forced to pay out that eight-figure sum.

Parents of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro charged with murder, make first court appearance
The mother and father of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, who is presumed dead, appeared in court on Tuesday after they were charged with the baby's murder.
Rebecca and Jake Haro appeared in court -- with public defenders representing the mother and father -- for less than five minutes, with a $1 million bail set for both. Their arraignment will continue on Sept. 4.

According to the Riverside County District Attorney's office, they are also charged with making a false police report.
Rebecca is currently being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center, while Jake is being held at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility, according to jail records.

The baby's father was spotted in a red jumpsuit with deputies in a field on Sunday. At the end of the day, the crews left, and the search continues.

The parents' court appearance comes as the search continues for the Riverside County baby, who was first reported missing nearly two weeks ago.
More than a dozen vehicles with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department were parked alongside the 60 Freeway, east of Moreno Valley, on Sunday afternoon in a remote, hilly stretch of land known as the Badlands. Investigators searched the steep terrain with cadaver dogs, looking for baby Emmanuel.

The baby's 32-year-old father, was spotted with deputies at the location on Sunday, dressed in a red jumpsuit. The department noted that Jake was at the scene with investigators, but was not helping in the search.
The father of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro was seen with sheriff's deputies in a remote Moreno Valley field as the search for the child's body continued.

At the end of the day, the search crews left, and the body of baby Emmanuel was not discovered. Crews had not returned to the location on Monday, but officials say the overall search continues.
"The search has concluded, and Emmanuel was not located," the sheriff's department said in a statement. "The investigation to find Emmanuel continues."
His 41-year-old mother first made a tearful plea for the public to help find baby Emmanuel after she claimed she'd been attacked in a Big 5 parking lot in Yucaipa on Aug. 14. She reported that her baby had been kidnapped.

The search continues for a 7-month-old boy who was reportedly kidnapped in Yucaipa.
Not long after the interview, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said the couple had stopped cooperating with their investigators. Some viewers said it was strange that in our interview, Jake spoke about his son in the past tense.
"He was a healthy baby. He was crawling. He was kicking. He was playing with his toys. He was a 7-month-old, he was our 7-month-old," Jake told Eyewitness News on Aug. 15.

One week later, both parents were arrested at their Cabazon home. Now, a memorial for the 7-month-old boy grows outside of the home, with people who didn't even know him stopping by to pay their respects.
The case is being investigated by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department because the missing person's case originated in Yucaipa, but the case is now in the hands of the Riverside County District Attorney's Office because investigators believe the alleged murder happened in Riverside County.

Officials have conducted "extensive" searches in the areas of Yucaipa and Cabazon and have also served "several search warrants at the Haro home." Authorities are also reviewing a "large amount of surveillance video" from the areas of interest.
According to Riverside County records, Jake pleaded guilty to willful cruelty to a child following a 2018 arrest.
Deputies say the Haros are also at the center of other reports of abuse.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies say they responded to a call of child abuse at a home in the 23000 block of Cottonwood Avenue in Moreno Valley on Thursday afternoon. They confirmed the investigation is related to the Haros.
Deputies said the investigation into the alleged abuse is ongoing. No further details were released.

Devon Walker exits ‘SNL’ with a message about the ‘toxic as hell’ workplace

Devon Walker has announced his departure from “Saturday Night Live.”
The comic, who had appeared on the show for three seasons, posted a series of photos on Instagram with the news.
“To me, jobs in this industry feel like a bunch of little marriages. Some of em last for a long time if we’re lucky, but most of them are fleeting. Permanent until they’re not,” Walker wrote. “That’s the deal. You know what it is it when you sign up.”

He added: “Me and the show did three years together, and sometimes it was really cool.”
“Sometimes it was toxic as hell,” Walker continued. “But we did what we made the most of what it was, even amidst all of the dysfunction. We made a f***ed up lil family.”

He thanked friends and fellow “SNL” writers Alex English and Gary Richardson, with whom he ran the DAD comedy show at New York’s Jane Hotel, noting that the three of them “really went from running a bar show to working together at 30 Rock!”
John Mulaney had a hilarious response to speculation about an ‘SNL’ succession plan
“Anyway, I’m bout to go to Japan,” Walker concluded his note. “When I get back I’m tryna be in a prestige drama. Ideally something with Julianne Moore. Hope y’all staying hydrated and getting some money today.”

“Just to be clear, this is good news!” he wrote in a subsequent Instagram story.
“It was just time for me to do something different. Please don’t be hitting me with the ‘I’m so sorry’ — we not on that at ALL,” he wrote. “Sometimes mom and dad just don’t see things eye to eye.”

Cardi B Attends Day 2 of Assault Trial, Laughs at Lawyer Asking If Her Hair Was Real or a Wig
Cardi B steps out in a bright blonde hairdo while leaving the second day of her 2018 assault trial on Tuesday (August 26) in Alhambra, Calif.
The 32-year-old was joined by her lawyers while leaving the court after attending her civil trial, where a security guard has accused her of assault, including cutting her face with her finger nail.
One part of the trial has been going viral, where Cardi B was on the stand responding to questions from the plaintiff’s team, including about her hair.

“Yesterday, you had black hair, short hair. Today it’s blond and long,” the plaintiff’s lawyer, Ron Rosen, noted during questioning, via Complex. “Which one is your real hair, or are they both real?”
Cardi then looked at him and laughed, replying, “They’re wigs.”
“It’s a good wig then,” he added before moving on, next asking if she was affiliated with a gang.

The judge in the case, Judge Ian Fusselman, became annoyed by the line of questioning and told the lawyer to focus on what’s relevant to the case, which was ignored. The judge then noted they were going to take a break instead.
In this trial, Cardi B is being sued for a 2018 incident at a Beverly Hills obstetrics and gynecology office with a security guard, Emani Ellis, after she alleged the rapper became angry at her, cut her face with her finger nail, and tried to swing at her but missed, body-shamed her, called her racial slurs and spat on her.

Zoe Kravitz Bares Ripped Abs at 'Caught Stealing' NYC Premiere
Zoe Kravitz is baring a lot of skin for the NYC premiere of her movie Caught Stealing.
The 36-year-old actress wore an ab-bearing dress while walking the red carpet with co-star Austin Butler at the premiere on Tuesday night (August 26) at Regal Union Square in New York City.

Zoe and Austin shared a cute moment together on the carpet, smiling wide at each other as the cameras snapped pics. They initially sparked some dating rumors last week after looking close during the press tour in Europe, but now Zoe has been linked to another massive star.

Also in attendance at the premiere were co-stars Bad Bunny, Regina King, Matt Smith, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, Griffin Dunne, and Carol Kane. Director Darren Aronofsky was also there.

Trump Opens U.S. to 600K Chinese Students, MAGA Furious Over “Betrayal”
Donald Trump just made a major shift in immigration and education. He announced that the United States will welcome 600,000 Chinese students to study in American universities. That number more than doubles the amount already here.
Speaking during ongoing trade negotiations with Beijing, Trump said, “We are going to allow their students to come in. It is very important and we are going to get along with China.” The move represents a sharp reversal from earlier promises to cut down on Chinese student visas and to block potential security risks.

MAGA supporters are not celebrating. Many in Trump’s base see this as a direct betrayal of the “America First” message.
Conservative commentator Laura Loomer blasted the decision. She wrote, “I did not vote for more Muslims and Chinese people to be imported to my country. Please do not make America China. MAGA does not want more immigrants.”

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene joined the criticism, claiming Chinese students are taking opportunities away from Americans. She asked, “Why are we allowing 600,000 students from China to replace our American students’ opportunities?”
Universities, however, are welcoming the change. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick explained that many schools depend on international tuition to stay open. He said, “Without allowing the Chinese students, the bottom 15 percent of universities would go out of business in America.”

The decision has created a sharp divide. Supporters argue it will help improve trade talks with China and keep U.S. colleges afloat. Opponents believe it undermines the same “America First” policy that helped Trump win support from his loyal base.
For now, the plan is moving forward and the clash between Trump’s policy shift and MAGA outrage is only growing louder.

Whistleblower Says Feds Left Every Social Security Number Sitting on an Unsecured Server

A new whistleblower complaint is sounding alarms about how the federal government handles sensitive information, with claims that the Social Security data of more than 300 million Americans was left exposed on an unsecured server.
According to ABC News, the complaint, filed Tuesday by Social Security Administration Chief Data Officer Chuck Borges, alleges that in June, the Department of Government Efficiency uploaded a complete copy of Social Security records to a “vulnerable cloud environment” without proper security or oversight. “Should bad actors gain access to this cloud environment, Americans may be susceptible to widespread identity theft, may lose vital healthcare and food benefits,” the complaint states.

Borges, who joined SSA in January 2025, said the exposed database includes “the name of the applicant, place and date of birth, citizenship, race and ethnicity, parents’ names and social security numbers, phone number, address, and other personal information.” He also claims he raised concerns within the agency, but “to date has not been made aware of any remedial action.”

The SSA disputed the allegations, stressing that its systems remain secure.
“Commissioner [Frank] Bisignano and the Social Security Administration take all whistleblower complaints seriously. SSA stores all personal data in secure environments that have robust safeguards in place to protect vital information,” an SSA spokesperson told the outlet.

The agency added that the data mentioned in the complaint is held in a “long-standing environment used by SSA and walled off from the internet.”
Borges, a Navy veteran, previously held senior roles at the General Services Administration, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Centers for Disease Control.
