#MAGFAB: Kathy Bates For Variety Magazine

In a new cover story for VARIETY, Emmy-nominated “Matlock” star Kathy Bates speaks with Executive Editor, TV Michael Schneider about her historic nomination as the oldest-ever nominee in the outstanding drama actress category at 77. She also discusses her weight loss, being in over her head when “Misery” elevated her to the A-list, cringing at her performance in “Fried Green Tomatoes,” why she insists that “Matlock” is filmed in Los Angeles, and more.
Bates on her weight loss: “People say, ’Well, it was the Ozempic.’ Fuck you, it was the Ozempic! It took me years to do this. I got this diagnosis about diabetes — my father died of it; his mother died of it; one of my sisters is in peril. When they said ’diabetes,’ I figured out what to do to slowly, over years, to lose the weight. And then when Ozempic came along, I was able to lose the last 15 to 20 pounds and keep it off. But the juxtaposition of getting healthy and then this show coming along is just unbelievable. The timing of it is great.”
On why her historic Emmy nomination is both wonderful and overwhelming: Not only is “Matlock” a hit — delivering nearly 16 million viewers across broadcast and streaming last season — but it has led to a new string of honors for Bates. And she’s not bothered that we keep mentioning that age-related historic stat.
“I love that,” she says, noting that “this feels totally different” from the success that has come before. “It’s true, first of all, and it’s a badge of honor. It’s just the serendipity of all of it. I’ve never had any of this stuff happen before, where I’ve got five different designers sending dresses!”
It’s all a bit overwhelming, Bates says, as she reveals what happened the other day when her new stylist shared some of those stylish clothes.
“She had a beautiful dress for me to try. I looked at it on the hanger, and I thought, ’That’s not gonna fit.’ I put it on, and it fit, and I just melted down. I just started crying and crying. I’m still figuring out what it’s like to be without all of that weight. What was it for? What was I hiding myself from? What are the emotions that are pouring out because I don’t have that armor? It just really surprised me, really shocked me.”
On being in over her head when she hit the big time with “Misery”: Although Bates was 42 when the film elevated her to the A-list, she recalls feeling woefully young and out of step.
“Just like a child. I had no clue. In fact, there’s a picture of me getting out of a car wearing a black-lace bib and a white bra underneath — just so tacky! I just always felt like it was a nightmare. I just felt so ill prepared, like a country bumpkin…Looking back on those years, I felt unprotected. I didn’t know what I was doing. I was a middle-class kid from Memphis, Tennessee, with older parents, and really 20 years behind the times. I didn’t know anything about anything, and it haunted me for years.”

On why she cringes at her performance in “Fried Green Tomatoes”: “I could have done a really good job with that part, and I didn’t do nearly enough,” she says, noting that she was distracted by her “Misery” press tour and filming another project, “The Road to Mecca.”
On insisting that “Matlock” is filmed in Los Angeles: Although “Matlock” shot its pilot in Toronto, Bates leveraged CBS’ desire to cast her into making sure the series would film at home in Los Angeles, at a time when local production losses are a key industry concern.
“This is the first time in I don’t know how many years where I’ve been able to unpack my suitcases and put them away,” she says. “One thing about being 77 is traveling has gotten difficult. I really can’t go on the road by myself anymore. You’re away from your support system…Come on. This is Hollywood, for Christ’s sake. This is a huge industry for California. There’s so much history here. And it’s not just the people who work in production; it’s every other industry that Hollywood supports. The drivers, the restaurants. I don’t want to pack a bag!”

On why the well-being of the artisans she works with is always top of mind: “Everybody says, ’Oh, you’re so nice to the crew.’ But me walking up to the Emmy stage would be for them, because this doesn’t happen without every single person not only putting their heart and soul into it, but also being lovely. You try going in there and hammering shit together 12 hours a day. The grips and the electricians, they have to turn over these stages and the lights; it’s not easy. Every single person in every crew or office, they make this show.”
On AI: “My college roommate, she asked, ’Are you hawking a diet about bananas?’ I said, ’No!’ But she was like, ’Well, it’s you, your face and voice and everything!’ Apparently on Facebook, my AI version is selling a banana diet that just works like crazy. You could have me out there selling ICBM missiles or whatever! You just don’t know whether it’s fake or not.”
On her relationship with co-star Skye Marshall: “This afternoon you saw me screw up, and Skye was there for me. She does that sometimes — she’ll just jiggle me and it’s just joyous. That’s what feeds me. When Skye and I are working together, we just have this ability to lock in with each other that feels so safe.”

Kelli Ferrell Accused of Entering Neighbor's Home Without Permission

The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member, Kelli Ferrell, must stay away from her neighbor after entering their home without permission...
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kelli Ferrell was ordered to stay 30 yards away from a neighbor who claimed she entered her home without permission, Us Weekly can exclusively report. Kelli denied the claims.
On September 2, Monualda Cash filed a petition for a temporary protective order against Ferrell. Ferrell, 40, owns a four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 2,784 square foot home in Atlanta, Georgia. Cash is an HOA board member.
Cash claimed on August 9, “Kelli Potter-Ferrell aggressively entered my private patio, through my private gate in a violent manner.”
Cash said Ferrell was “accompanied by others.” She added, “This incident occurred after her vehicle was booted for again violating [guidelines] by parking in a narrow driveway which is also a designated fire lane.”

Cash said Ferrell was “accompanied by others.” She added, “This incident occurred after her vehicle was booted for again violating [guidelines] by parking in a narrow driveway which is also a designated fire lane.”
The petition alleged that Ferrell had to be “physically restrained and removed during which time she engaged in bizarre behavior while making a series of irratic (sic) verbal threats. Some of which were clear and others that were unintelligible.” She claimed there was video footage of the incident.
Cash asked the court to order Ferrell to stop harassing and intimidating her, for her to stay away from her and her family and for her to receive appropriate psychiatric and psychological services.
The judge granted a temporary protective order but only ordered Ferrell to stay 30 yards away, most likely since the two are neighbors. A hearing has been set for September 22 on whether the order will become permanent.

#HipHopNews: Lizzo And BigXthaPlug Fuel Collaboration Rumors After Dancing To “The Largest”
A viral dance video of Lizzo and BigXthaPlug has fans buzzing about a potential collaboration.
BigXthaPlug’s latest album featured country artists, showcasing his country-trap crossover.
Lizzo’s recent mixtape and deluxe edition signaled a bold new chapter in her musical evolution.
There might be another Texas anthem brewing. On Wednesday (Sept. 10), Lizzo and BigXthaPlug sent fans into a frenzy after posting a clip of themselves dancing to his track “The Largest.”
“We the BIGGEST in the game!” Lizzo captioned the post. Fans immediately flood the comments, questioning whether the two are teaming up on music. “Does this mean a collab is coming?” one person wrote, while another Instagram user said, “I can’t even tell you how much I need a collab with these two.”
What’s particularly exciting is the fact that neither Lizzo nor BigXthaPlug is restricted by genre. In August, the Dallas native dropped I Hope You’re Happy, an album largely featuring country artists like Luke Combs, Bailey Zimmerman, and Ella Langley. “The way I went about it, I looked for anybody who I felt like had some type of soul in them,” he explained to Apple Music’s Thomas Rhett about his choice to blur the lines between rap and country.
“OK, he looks good with the haircut,” one commenter said, referencing BigXthaPlug cutting his locs last month. Another added enthusiastically, “My Texas people in the house,” while someone else noted, “I’m really loving this new Lizzo.”
As for Lizzo, she’s in perhaps the most exciting stage of her career post-Special. In July, she released MY FACE HURTS FROM SMILING and followed it with a deluxe edition last Friday (Sept. 5). The original project boasted contributions from SZA and Doja Cat, while the expanded version introduced nine records with appearances from Lil Jon and Tierra Whack.
“I think I needed to drop those songs so I could subvert that expectation of me,” Lizzo shared with New York Magazine regarding the LP. “In turn, it created this new discovery that I really wanted. I wanted people to rediscover who I am and fall in love with her all over again.”

Charlie Kirk’s Assassination Prompts Comedy Central To Pull South Park Episode

Charlie Kirk became the center of a media firestorm after Comedy Central pulled a controversial South Park episode mocking him just one day after he was assassinated during a live campus event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday (September 10).
The episode, titled “Got a Nut,” originally aired on August 6 and featured Eric Cartman impersonating Charlie Kirk as a loud, right-wing campus debater.
The storyline included a spoof “Charlie Kirk Award” and quickly became a talking point online for its sharp satire.
Following Kirk’s death—he was shot in front of more than 3,000 attendees during a “Prove Me Wrong” debate—Comedy Central quietly pulled the rerun from its schedule. As of Thursday (September 11), the network has not said whether the episode will return.
Before his death, Kirk had publicly responded to the parody, saying, “They’re going to obviously make fun of me … but I think it’s kind of funny.”
But after the assassination, conservative voices on social media accused South Park of stoking political division and demanded the show be canceled.
The backlash has reignited debate about the boundaries of satire, especially when it targets polarizing public figures.
The next new episode of South Park is scheduled to air Tuesday (September 17), but no official comment has been made by the show’s creators or the network.
Authorities Confirm No Arrests Made In Connection To Charlie Kirk Shooting
Kirk, 31, co-founded Turning Point USA and was a prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump. He was shot just after noon by a sniper positioned on a rooftop, according to law enforcement.
Footage showed him clutching his neck and collapsing. He was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to the hospital.
Authorities have questioned two individuals but released them. No arrests have been made as of the latest update.
Donald Trump ordered flags flown at half-staff through Sunday and offered condolences to Kirk’s wife, Erika, and their children.

Kamala Harris opens up about the 'recklessness' of Biden's re-election bid
Former Vice President Kamala Harris opened up about former President Joe Biden's decision to seek re-election in her forthcoming campaign memoir, writing that deferring to the Bidens to make the decision on their own was "recklessness."
"'It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.' We all said that, like a mantra, as if we’d all been hypnotized," Harris said.
"Was it grace, or was it recklessness? In retrospect, I think it was recklessness," she continued. "The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision."
The comments in Harris' upcoming book, "107 Days," are her harshest criticism of the Bidens' circle yet, laying bare divisions in the White House and grappling with Biden's decision to seek a second term despite widespread concerns over his age.
"During all those months of growing panic, should I have told Joe to consider not running?" she wrote. "Perhaps."
Biden's personal office declined to comment on the excerpt, which was published by The Atlantic.
Before Biden ultimately dropped out of the race, Harris wrote, she believed that he would view her advising him to exit "as naked ambition, perhaps as poisonous disloyalty." She also addressed his age, which polling indicated was a major liability, saying that "at 81, Joe got tired. That’s when his age showed in physical and verbal stumbles.”
"I don’t believe it was incapacity," she added. "If I believed that, I would have said so. As loyal as I am to President Biden, I am more loyal to my country.”
Age was a major political vulnerability for Biden even before his widely panned debate performance, which ultimately led a slew of Democrats to call on him to exit the race.
An NBC News poll conducted in January 2024 indicated that 76% of registered voters had major or moderate concerns that Biden did not have the necessary mental or physical health for a second term.
Harris also laid out several instances in which, she argued, Biden's circle undermined her efforts or did not sufficiently support her.
She pointed to "constant attention" to her vice presidency from journalists and criticized what she said was the White House's reluctance to counter negative coverage.
"And when the stories were unfair or inaccurate, the president’s inner circle seemed fine with it," she wrote. "Indeed, it seemed as if they decided I should be knocked down a little bit more."
That included the issue of immigration and border security, on which President Donald Trump enjoyed a 35-point advantage over Biden in the same NBC News poll. As part of her portfolio, Biden tasked Harris with leading efforts to stem migration to the United States across the southern border — a thorny political task for which she received much criticism from the right.
“When Republicans mischaracterized my role as 'border czar,' no one in the White House comms team helped me to effectively push back and explain what I had really been tasked to do, nor to highlight any of the progress I had achieved," she wrote.
Harris also criticized the White House for not having defended her in other ways, writing that Biden's team "rarely pushed back with my actual résumé" when conservative media attacked her "on everything from my laugh, to my tone of voice, to whom I’d dated in my 20s, or claimed I was a 'DEI hire.'"
Harris claimed she "often learned that the president’s staff was adding fuel to negative narratives that sprang up around me."
While the White House had a large communications team, Harris said, "getting anything positive said about my work or any defense against untrue attacks was almost impossible."
She also criticized what she argued was the West Wing's "zero-sum" thinking.
"If she’s shining, he’s dimmed," she said, referring to what she said was Biden's circle's attitude toward her. "None of them grasped that if I did well, he did well. That given the concerns about his age, my visible success as his vice president was vital. It would serve as a testament to his judgment in choosing me and reassurance that if something happened, the country was in good hands."
"My success was important for him," she concluded. "His team didn’t get it."
Asked for a response to what Harris wrote, former Biden White House spokesperson Andrew Bates pointed to Democrats’ winning a series of recent elections after the presidential race, arguing it was "because we’re making an effective case against Trump’s cost-raising agenda and chaos."
"And I’m proud to have worked for an administration led by two people who are not in the Epstein files," he added, referring to Trump's previous friendship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The aftermath of the election initiated a national conversation about Biden's age and mental acuity and transparency in politics. After Biden dropped out of the presidential race in July of that year, Harris ultimately failed to win any battleground states.
She announced her new memoir about her monthslong campaign in July. The book is set to be released this month.

Vanessa Bryant Officially Shuts Down “Imaginary” Pregnancy Rumors

Vanessa Bryant is calling foul on these rumors. The 43-year-old—mom to Natalia Bryant, 22, Bianka Bryant, 8, and Capri Bryant, 6, with the late Kobe Bryant, as well as their late daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant—debunked pregnancy rumors with a US Open essential.
During a Sept. 6 visit to the Grand Slam tournament with Bianka and Capri, Vanessa partook in one of the tournament’s signature cocktails: the honey deuce, a combination of vodka, fresh lemonade, raspberry liqueur and honeydew melon shaped to look like tennis balls.
“Enjoying my honey-deuce,” she wrote on her Instagram Story after the outing, per a screenshot shared by TMZ. “Keep me posted on how this imaginary pregnancy rumor is coming along.”
As she put it, “24 years later… same rumor.”
But Vanessa didn’t let any misguided speculation stop her and her daughters from having a good time. The Granity Studios CEO also shared a video montage of the sporty outing with Bianka and Capri, showing the trio were all smiles as they took in the women’s final between Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova.
She captioned the Sept. 7 post, “Honey deuce’n.”
But this isn’t the first time Vanessa has alluded to previous pregnancy rumors. In fact, this is the second time she’s addressed baby speculation just this summer. Back in June, the philanthropist utilized the help of two hilarious Rihanna memes to shut down any rumors she had a new baby on board.
The first meme showed Rihanna hanging in the pool, a snorkel on her face and her middle fingers up in the air. Vanessa wrote alongside the image, “Me protecting my peace, not pregnant & having fun all summer.”
Alongside a second image of the “Disturbia” singer, Vanessa added, “I’m not mean, I’m just not the one.”
Instead, Vanessa is enjoying life with her daughters. And when they’re not taking in tennis, Kobe’s daughters are taking a page out of their dad’s book.
Earlier this summer, Vanessa shared a look at Capri’s love for basketball. In the snap, the 8-year-old—whose middle name is Kobe, in honor of her father—held a basketball in one hand and gazed up, emulating a similar pose Kobe took years earlier.
“Like father, like daughter,” Vanessa captioned her July 24 Instagram post, which included a split image of Capri and Kobe. Vanessa also referred to her little one as “Baby Mamba” and her nickname “KoKo Bean,” both additional homages to the late basketball star.

Mike Tyson Reveals He Used Fentanyl During Boxing Career
Mike Tyson‘s storied career has been closely observed by the world, but there are still some discoveries that have yet to be widely revealed. The renowned boxer spoke about how he has had experience using fentanyl during his boxing career decades ago — a confession that shocked many.
While speaking on The Katie Miller Podcast about his journey as a cannabis entrepreneur, Tyson delved into the substances he has used before. He said he was initially exposed to fentanyl for pain relief, but experienced withdrawal symptoms when he attempted to stop.
“I’ve done fentanyl before. In the late ’90s, when it first came here, it was a painkiller, and I used to use it to patch up my toe. It was like heroin, once it wears off and you take the Band-Aid off, you start withdrawing, throwing up, just like if you were on heroin or something,” he said.
The 59-year-old added he did it “quite a few times,” but stopped because it “was illegal if it [was] caught in my bloodstream,” which he was initially unaware of.
He explained, “It was a narcotic, my friend told me. It was brand new. I told my friend, ‘Could I use this? Would I be able to use this?’ No one ever heard of it.’ You couldn’t use it, and I didn’t know that. I thought it was a painkiller.” The boxer added he would have continued to use it if he was allowed to.
According to the DEA, fentanyl is a “potent synthetic opioid drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use as an analgesic (pain relief) and anesthetic.” It is approximately 50 times more potent than heroin as an analgesic and 100 times more potent than morphine. The CDC reported the drug caused 48,422 overdose-released deaths in the United States back in 2024.
Tyson has opened up about his battles with drug addiction throughout his life. In his autobiography, The Undisputed Truth, he admitted to fighting under the influence of marijuana and cocaine. He said he was a “full-blown cokehead” during certain chapters of his career, and he tested positive for marijuana in 2000 before his fight with Andrew Golota.
The “Baddest Man on the Planet” made headlines last year for stepping into the ring with Jake Paul. In November 2024, the two faced off and Paul defeated Tyson in 8 rounds by a unanimous decision.

Usher attended Virgil Abloh’s Honor At Harlem Fashion Row’s Style Awards

The 18th annual Harlem Fashion Row Fashion Show & Style Awards was among the NYFW kickoff on Tuesday (Sept. 9).
This year’s theme was “This Is The Table,” described as a “celebration of unapologetic elegance and designers shaping the future of fashion.” Among the honorees were Nikki Ogunnaike (Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire), Christiane Pendarvis (Co-CEO of PATTERN Beauty) and costume designer Ruth E. Carter who received the Ann Lowe Maverick Award— named after the unsung and previously uncredited Black designer of Jackie Kennedy’s wedding dress. Celebrity stylist Jason Bolden was named Stylist of the Year and Usher was honored with the Virgil Abloh Award.
The crooner thanked a slew of close family members who guided him through life and helped shape the man he is today. “All of these people were significant parts of my ambition,” he shared. “They taught me to dream and run wild and use my imagination in fashion.” He also praised God for affording him the opportunity to do what he does. “I recognize Him more than anything for saving me in my hardest moments,” said the 45-year-old.
He acknowledged that his resurgence of sorts can be credited to his Las Vegas residency and cherry-aided serenades, but also mentioned that these moments took time to create, especially during a period when he felt tapped out creatively.
Usher mentioned Abloh’s notorious three-percent rule. It’s his idea that “you really only need to change something by 3% in order to create something new.” Usher used it as a foundation to reinvent old ideas of his own and transforming them into something new and refreshed. He also added his mantra of always looking up to this newfound philosophy. “You’ve seen me do a lot of things and I wanna introduce something that was passion-based, so I’m happy that I was able to do that and be recognized [for that],” he said.
The father of four then gave his flowers to all those who contribute to fashion and their respective industries and thanked his mother, Jonnetta Patton, for her incomparable support. “I was really searching for identity. My dad gave [me his] name, but he didn’t show me what to do with it. So I had to define it in the way that I thought would make it matter,” Usher noted.
Before concluding, he urged everyone to do everything for their 17-year-old self. For Usher, he shared, “That 17-year-old version of myself is the same thing that encourages me to this day, to make me fearless.”

Speaking with Tamron Hall, Todd expressed concern over Gary’s ex-wife, #ShannonPrice, deciding to remove the Diff’rent Strokes from life support. According to Todd, Shannon agreed to requests from Gary’s friends to “give him more time” to recover. However, she allegedly went back on her word, ultimately having doctors end the support. He passed on May 28, 2010, at the age of 42.
Gary was placed in a medically induced coma two days before his de@th after suffering an intracranial hemorrhage from a fall. Reportedly, doctor, unaware that Gary and Shannon had secretly divorced, made Shannon the decision maker on the actor’s health. In July, Shannon claimed in A&E’s Lie Detector: Truth or Deception special that she “had no choice” because her ex “had gone into cardiac arrest, and that is ultimately what took his life.”

Charlie Sheen Opens Up About Sexual Experiences With Men

Charlie Sheen isn’t holding back. The former “Two and a Half Men” star spoke with People on Friday about his upcoming Netflix documentary, “aka Charlie Sheen.” In the two-part series, Sheen opens up about his past sexual experiences with men.
“Liberating. It’s fucking liberating... [to] just talk about stuff,” he says in the documentary, per People. “It’s like a train didn’t come through the side of the restaurant. A fucking piano didn’t fall out of the sky. No one ran into the room and shot me.”
Sheen went on to unpack the context behind his exploration. According to him, his same-sex experiences began during a period when he was using crack cocaine — a time he described as both chaotic and revealing.

Sheen went on to unpack the context behind his exploration. According to him, his same-sex experiences began during a period when he was using crack cocaine — a time he described as both chaotic and revealing.
“That’s what started it,” he said, explaining how drug use opened the door. “That’s where it was born, or sparked. And in whatever chunks of time that I was off the pipe, trying to navigate that, trying to come to terms with it — ’Where did that come from? Why did that happen? And then just finally being like, ‘So what?’ So what? Some of it was weird. A lot of it was fucking fun, and life goes on.”
It was during his years of intense drug usage that Sheen contracted HIV, which he revealed in a now-famous interview with Today in 2015. Sheen said he learned he was HIV positive four years before the interview aired, and had paid millions of dollars to “unsavory” people who had blackmailed him by threatening to reveal his diagnosis.
Initially, Sheen said he feared he had a brain tumor, but after extensive testing, he was finally given the real diagnosis — something he called a “turning point” in his life.

Zohran Mamdani Called Out by Media for Being a Dipset Fan
Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee in the New York City mayoral race, has been accused of supporting a "pro-terrorist" rap group known as The Diplomats in an apparent hit piece.
In the article by Jerry Dunleavy, chief investigative correspondent for JusttheNews.com, Mamdani is called out for posting the same photo of Juelz Santana in an American flag outfit from the "Dipset Anthem" music video on Independence Day, with the caption, "Happy 4th," in three of the last five years.
The piece describes Dipset as a "controversial rap group" who "were famous — and infamous — for some of their pro-terrorism-tinged lyrics."
The claim stems from Dipset's obsession with 9/11, especially on their debut album Diplomatic Immunity, less than two years after the events of Sept. 11, 2001. In addition to their lyrics, the crew also referred to themselves as "the Dipset Taliban" and "Harlem's Al Qaeda."
This fixation was revisited on social media just last year.
Despite the article's best efforts to paint Mamdani in a negative light because of his fandom of Juelz and Dipset, people seemed to elicit the opposite effect.
Back in July, Zohran Mamdani linked with Wu-Tang Clan, Run The Jewels, and the LOX for the final Wu-Tang NYC show at Madison Square Garden. A month prior to that, 50 Cent offered Mamdani $258,750 to leave NYC. "Where did he come from 👀 whose friend is this? I'm not feeling this plan no," he wrote on Instagram. "I will give him $258,750 and a first class one way ticket away from NY. I'm telling Trump what he said too!"
Kanye West Must Attend Deposition for Donda Academy Lawsuit

A Los Angeles judge has ordered Kanye West to sit down for a deposition in a lawsuit brought by a former Donda Academy employee.
The ruling gives the rapper and founder of the defunct Academy just 30 days to appear in person and answer questions from opposing counsel. The case stems from a complaint filed in April 2024 by Trevor Phillips, who says he worked for both Donda Academy and West’s Yeezy brand.
In court filings, Phillips alleges he endured repeated harassment, discrimination, and retaliation while employed. He accuses West of openly sharing antisemitic views with staff, berating Black employees, and even suggesting he wanted to shave students’ heads and build a jail on school grounds.
Phillips’ lawsuit outlines 11 causes of action, including discrimination, hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and intentional infliction of emotional distress in his complaint. He is seeking damages and an injunction to bar West and his companies from operating schools for minors in California.
According to legal documents obtained by Complex, Phillips’ legal team has made several unsuccessful attempts to get West to testify. The judge’s latest order sets a strict deadline and aims to ensure West faces questioning in person after months of delays.
Phillips’ complaint also describes instances where West allegedly praised Adolf Hitler, denied the Holocaust, misused school funds, and subjected employees to unsafe working conditions. The allegations paint a disturbing picture of the environment at Donda Academy before its shutdown in 2023.
When the lawsuit was first filed, Phillips’ attorney Carney R. Shegerian issued a statement on the matter: “By filing this lawsuit, we hope our injured clients’ rights are vindicated, and that the famous artist Mr. West understands that his messages — which we alleged preach discrimination, antisemitism and Hitler-love — have no place in the world.”

Murray, who was said to be Shepherd's closest friend and a confidant, was at the center of a June tabloid report that claimed complaints had been made to the show's human resources department after he posted a video that unnamed staffers called "inappropriate."
The television executive mused in a clip: "Is this a cultural thing? I’ve been noticing that predominantly the Black people in the bathroom wash their hands and some of the others don’t."
When asked about the reason for his departure, Murray sicced his high-powered attorney onto RadarOnline.com who blasted via email: "To be clear, the precise circumstances of his professional decisions are not your or the public’s concern."

IT looks like the Cotswolds is becoming the new Hollywood as several stars purchase homes in the picturesque English countryside.

The pair, who were declared the richest celebrity couple, have reportedly received planning permission to build a “spectacular rural estate” and if they go ahead with the plans, they won’t be far from Great Tew, which is already home to huge names in the showbiz world.
However, after previous backlash from villagers over disturbances by high-profile moves, the jury is out on whether Beyonce, 44, and Jay-Z, 55, will be accepted into the local community.

A resident told MailOnline: “I don't give a flying toss,” before adding that his wife has seen the couple head into Burford Garden Centre in their Range Rovers.
“When someone points them out to my wife, her first reaction is to ask who they are. Some of these so-called celebrities I've never actually heard of.”
Another resident, who works at Great Tew’s village pub, Falkland Arms, told The Times: “We love our local clientele and we don't want the couple's arrival to bring in a different sort.”
