Kandi Burruss wants Soulja Boy to “pull up” after he cursed her out in response to an accusation made against him on her podcast.
“I heard @souljaboy was cussing me out on his live & said he wanted to pull up,” the multihyphenate wrote on her X account on Monday (Oct. 20). “Well I would love for you to pull up. Let’s speak on it!”
On the latest episode of her Speak On It podcast, the Xscape member interviewed former videographer Charlie Rocket, 37, who recalled working for the rapper in 2007.
“I want to preface: I'm very grateful for Soulja Boy giving me an opportunity, but I'm grateful for the good and the bad because at this particular time in Las Vegas, I had actually not eaten in three days,” Rocket near the 12-minute mark linked here.
He continued, “Soulja Boy called me to his room. We're staying at the Bellagio and he wanted to make a really viral video. He said, ‘Come to my room. I'm about to order some room service,’ and he ordered $1,000 worth of room service. When he was done, there was so much food left over. I was excited. The canceled show was part of YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s “Make America Slime Again Tour,” which already faced setbacks in other cities. Salt-N-Pepa Talks Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Induction As Tragedy Strikes Group
Salt-N-Pepa appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America and GMA3 on Monday (October 20) and discussed their historic induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame even as the group suffered a major setback with the death of Pepa’s mother.
The pioneering Hip-Hop duo, consisting of Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandra “Pepa” Denton, earned their place among the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees alongside Outkast and other notable artists.
Their selection marks a significant milestone for female representation in Hip-Hop’s recognition at the prestigious institution.
“It feels amazing. We’ve done all the things now, right? We got the Walk of Fame and the Lifetime Achievement Award, the Grammys. We could go on and on. I don’t think there’s an accolade we haven’t gotten, so we’re very excited,” Salt said. “We’ve always taken our influence seriously, as far as, you know, we know that we impact women with our lyrics and who we are. We always say we brought fun fashion and femininity to Hip-Hop and that really resonated with a lot of women and men.”
Salt-N-Pepa broke barriers as the first major all-female rap group and the first women in rap to achieve platinum status, earning them the title “First Ladies of Rap.”
The group has sold more than 15 million records worldwide throughout their career, with hits like “Push It,” “Shoop” and “Whatta Man” becoming cultural anthems.
“I think we changed, or helped to change, the scope of women empowerment, and that feels amazing to be a part of that change, or to help spearhead that,” DJ Spinderella said.

Former sheriff's deputy Sean Grayson stands trial in fatal shooting of Sonya Massey
Jury selection is set to begin on Monday in the trial of Sean Grayson, the former Sangamon County sheriff’s deputy who was charged with first-degree murder in connection to the July 6, 2024, fatal shooting of Sonya Massey.
Grayson was charged with a total of three counts in connection to Massey’s death – first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and official misconduct.
Grayson’s attorney, Daniel Fultz, declined to comment to ABC News but confirmed that his client has “pleaded not guilty to all charges.”
The trial will take place in Peoria, Illinois, after it was moved from Sangamon County to Peoria County due to extensive media publicity.

Massey then pours the water into the sink and tells the deputy, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus," according to the video.
Grayson threatens to shoot her and Massey apologizes and ducks down behind a counter, covering her face with what appears to be a red oven mitt, the video shows. As she briefly rises, Grayson shoots her three times in the face, the footage shows.
Massey died by homicide due to a gunshot wound to her head, according to an autopsy report released on July 26, 2024, Sangamon County coroner Jim Allmon confirmed to ABC News.

Attorney Ben Crump, who represents Massey’s family, said the autopsy confirmed that this was an “unnecessary excessive use of force, completely unnecessary, certainly not justified."
Crump said that Massey had struggled with her mental health.

Prosecutors alleged that Grayson discouraged his partner from retrieving the medical kit to render aid to Massey after the shooting because he allegedly thought the injuries were too severe to revive her.
The judge in the case ruled during a pre-trial hearing on Sept. 15, 2025, against the defense’s request to exclude body camera footage after Massey was shot, according to WICS, ABC affiliate in Springfield, Illinois.

Prior to Grayson’s time in public law enforcement, he was discharged from the U.S. Army for unspecified "misconduct (serious offense)," according to documents obtained by ABC News.
ABC News also learned that Grayson was charged with two DUI offenses in Macoupin County, Illinois, in August 2015 and July 2016, according to court documents.
He pleaded guilty to both charges. He paid over $1,320 in fines and had his vehicle impounded as a result of the 2015 incident. In 2016, Grayson paid over $2,400 in fines, according to court records.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker signed new legislation on Aug. 12 inspired by Massey's death, according to ABC station in Chicago, WLS. The law creates stricter hiring practices for law enforcement agencies by requiring departments to thoroughly investigate a candidate's history before hiring them.
"It means everything to me. Like to see my mom making some change ... that means the world to me," said Massey's son Malachi Hill Massey.

The Obama Presidential Center To Open In Spring 2026
After breaking ground four years ago, the Barack Obama Presidential Center will soon be open for visitors.
Announced today (Oct 20), the Center will be open in spring 2026 but the Obama Foundation is giving the public a virtual preview of the 19-acre, community-rooted campus slated to open on Chicago’s South Side.
The museum will tell the story of the USA’s first black president’s journey from community organizer to the nation’s first African American president and aims to show how individuals can make a difference in their communities.
