#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey is set to star in the upcoming sports drama ‘Diamond’
Cynthia Bailey (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), former NFL star turned actor Vernon Davis (The Ritual Killer), and Jemarcus Kilgore (All’s Fair) are set to star in the upcoming sports drama Diamond.

The coming-of-age drama follows 17-year-old basketball phenom Diamond McCarren (Kilgore) as he fights to escape the cycle of trauma threatening to consume his future. With his father (Davis) behind bars and his mother (Bailey) spiraling deeper into heroin addiction, Diamond shoulders the weight of a broken home while clinging to the hope of a Division I scholarship.

Just as his shot at a better life arrives — a college coach’s visit — his mother suffers a devastating overdose. Torn between chasing his dream and caring for the only parent he has left, Diamond makes a life-altering decision that challenges everything he thought he knew about loyalty, ambition, and manhood. In the aftermath, his sacrifice becomes the first step toward healing a family on the brink.

The film is penned by DeShon Hardy, who will also direct and produce. Davis will executive produce the project under his Reel 85 Productions banner. Filming is set to begin this weekend in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
Hardy said: “Diamond is more than a sports story. At its core, this film is about resilience, survival, healing from generational trauma, and the transformative power of love. I wanted to shine a light on the strength it takes for families to rise above circumstance, and how even in the darkest places, hope can survive.”

Davis commented: “When I read the script for Diamond, I was immediately drawn to its honesty and emotional depth. I’m proud to help bring a film to life that not only entertains, but also sparks conversation and inspires change.”
Bailey added: “This story really touched with me. It showed how families can stay together through any and everything. I wanted the opportunity to play a meaningful role and when I read this script I knew this was it.”

BET Network officially welcomes Love & Hip Hop: Miami to its Monday night lineup as the hit reality franchise makes its network debut with Season 7 on November 4 at 8 P.M. ET/PT.
The Miami-based series transitions from VH1 to BET, marking a significant shift for the popular Hip-Hop reality franchise. The move positions BET to capitalize on the show’s loyal fanbase while expanding its Monday night programming with proven content.

Season 7 centers on Miami’s dynamic music scene and the personal dramas of its cast.
Amara La Negra returns as a central figure, juggling motherhood responsibilities while navigating a brewing feud that threatens her personal peace.
The Afro-Latina artist continues to build her music career while navigating the complexities of raising her children in the public eye.

Trick Daddy steps into entrepreneur mode, expanding his Sunday’s Eatery restaurant empire throughout South Florida.
However, his business success contrasts with personal complications as former romantic interests resurface, creating tension in his current relationships.
Miami’s self-proclaimed “Diamond Princess,” Trina finds herself revisiting a past romantic connection that stirs controversy within her close-knit circle of friends and associates. The veteran rapper’s personal life becomes a focal point as old relationships create new drama.

Comedian Michael Blackson and his fiancée, Rada Darling, navigate their unconventional relationship dynamic, bringing humor and unpredictability to the season’s romantic storylines.
The season also highlights Shay Johnson’s spiritual journey as she balances faith with single motherhood, while Miami Tip attempts to transform personal vulnerability into professional strength.

New mother Chyng Diamond struggles to balance her career comeback with the demands of raising a newborn.
Powerhouse music manager Rahki Giovanni, rapper Kent Jones, and Asian Goddess Cat add additional layers of music industry drama and mysticism to the season’s narrative.

Returning favorites include Bobby Lytes and Eliza Reign, alongside viral sensation Pinkydoll, who transitions from NPC internet fame to pursuing rap stardom under Trick Daddy’s mentorship.
Songwriter Sonyae also joins the cast, stepping out from behind-the-scenes songwriting to pursue center-stage recognition.
The network move represents BET’s strategy to strengthen its reality programming slate with established franchises that resonate with its core demographic.

The Love & Hip Hop brand has consistently delivered strong ratings across multiple markets, making Miami’s addition a strategic programming decision.

#RIP: June Lockhart, beloved mother figure from ‘Lassie’ and ‘Lost In Space,’ dies at 100

June Lockhart, who became a mother figure for a generation of television viewers whether at home in “Lassie” or up in the stratosphere in “Lost In Space,” has died. She was 100.
Lockhart died Thursday of natural causes at her home in Santa Monica, family spokesman Lyle Gregory, a friend of 40 years, said Saturday.

“She was very happy up until the very end, reading the New York Times and LA Times everyday,” he said. “It was very important to her to stay focused on the news of the day.”
The daughter of prolific character actor Gene Lockhart, Lockhart was cast frequently in ingenue roles as a young film actor. Television made her a star.
From 1958 to 1964, she portrayed Ruth Martin, who raised the orphaned Timmy (Jon Provost), in the popular CBS series “Lassie.” From 1965 to 1968, she traveled aboard the spaceship Jupiter II as mother to the Robinson family in the campy CBS adventure “Lost in Space.”

Her portrayals of warm, compassionate mothers endeared her to young viewers, and decades later baby boomers flocked to nostalgia conventions to meet Lockhart and buy her autographed photos.
Offscreen, Lockhart insisted, she was nothing like the women she portrayed.
“I must quote Dan Rather,” she said in a 1994 interview. “I can control my reputation, but not my image, because my image is how you see me.
“I love rock ‘n’ roll and going to the concerts. I have driven Army tanks and flown in hot air balloons. And I go plane-gliding — the ones with no motors. I do a lot of things that don’t go with my image.”

Early in her career, Lockhart appeared in numerous films. Among them: “All This and Heaven Too,” “Adam Had Four Sons,” “Sergeant York,” “Miss Annie Rooney,” “Forever and a Day” and “Meet Me in St. Louis.”

She also made “Son of Lassie,” the 1945 sequel to “Lassie, Come Home,” playing the grown-up version of the role created by Elizabeth Taylor.
When her movie career as an adult faltered, Lockhart shifted to television, appearing in live drama from New York and game and talk shows. She was the third actress to play the female lead in “Lassie” on TV, following Jan Clayton and Cloris Leachman. (Provost had replaced the show’s original child star, Tommy Rettig, in 1957.)

Lockhart spoke frankly about her canine co-star. In the first place, she said in 1989, Lassie was a laddie, because male collies “are bigger, the ruff is bigger, they’re more imposing looking.”
She added: “I worked with four Lassies. There was only one main Lassie at a time. Then there was a dog that did the running, a dog that did the fighting, and a dog that was a stand-in, because only humans can work 14 hours a day without needing a nap.
“Lassie was not especially friendly with anybody. Lassie was wholly concentrated on the trainers.”

After six years in the rural setting of “Lassie,” Lockhart moved to outer space, embarking on the role of Maureen Robinson, the wise, reassuring mother of a family that departs on a five-year flight to a faraway planet in “Lost in Space.”
After their mission is sabotaged by a fellow passenger, the nefarious Dr. Zachary Smith (Jonathan Harris), the party bounces from planet to planet, encountering weird creatures and near-disasters that required viewers to tune in the following week to learn of the escape. Throughout the three-year run, Mrs. Robinson offered consolation and a slice of her “space pie.”

As with “Lassie,” Lockhart enjoyed working on “Lost in Space”: “It was like going to work at Disneyland every day.”
In 1968, Lockhart joined the cast of “Petticoat Junction” for the rural comedy’s last two seasons, playing Dr. Janet Craig. The original star, Bea Benaderet, had been diagnosed with cancer and died, also in 1968.

Lockhart remained active long after “Lost in Space,” appearing often in episodic television as well as in recurring roles in the daytime soap opera “General Hospital” and nighttime soaps, “Knots Landing” and “The Colbys.” Her film credits included “The Remake” and the animated “Bongee Bear and the Kingdom of Rhythm,” for which she provided the voice for Mindy the Owl.

She also used her own media pass to attend presidential news conferences, narrated beauty pageants and holiday parades, appeared in B pictures and toured in the plays “Steel Magnolias,” “Bedroom Farce” and “Once More with Feeling.”
“Her true passion was journalism,” Gregory said. “She loved going to the White House briefing rooms.
Lockhart liked to tell the story of how her parents met, saying they were hired separately for a touring production sponsored by inventor Thomas A. Edison and decided on marriage during a stop at Lake Louise, Alberta.
Their daughter was born June 25, 1925, in New York City. The family moved to Hollywood 10 years later, and Gene Lockhart worked steadily as a character actor, usually in avuncular roles, sometimes as a villain. His wife, Kathleen, often appeared with him.

Young June made her stage debut at 8, dancing in a children’s ballet at the Metropolitan Opera House. Her first film appearance was a small role in the 1938 “A Christmas Carol,” playing the daughter of Bob Cratchit and his wife, who were played by her parents.

She was married and divorced twice: to John Maloney, a physician, father of her daughters Anne Kathleen and June Elizabeth; and architect John C. Lindsay.
Throughout her later career, Lockhart was connected in the public mind with “Lassie.”
Even though she sometimes mocked the show, she conceded: “How wonderful that in a career there is one role for which you are known. Many actors work all their lives and never have one part that is really theirs.”

Hakeem Jeffries Formally Endorses Zohran Mamdani
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has finally endorsed Zohran Mamdani for New York City mayor.
On Friday (Oct 24), Jeffries joined President Obama and Former Vice President Kamala Harris who’ve announced their support for the democratic socialist after keeping him at arm’s length since his surprising Democratic primary victory in June.

“Zohran Mamdani has relentlessly focused on addressing the affordability crisis and explicitly committed to being a Mayor for all New Yorkers, including those who do not support his candidacy,” Jeffries, D-N.Y., said in a statement on Friday. “In that spirit, I support him and the entire citywide Democratic ticket in the general election.”

The nod is coming after months of pressure. Among the points of tension between the Mamdani and Jeffries camps was talk by democratic socialists of challenging Jeffries and other US House Democrats in primaries. A top Jeffries aide dismissed some of Mamdani’s allies as being for “Team Gentrification.”

Another point of contention for Jeffries was his concerns with how Mamdani is viewed by the Jewish community. He previously said Mamdani would need to show he is “prepared to aggressively address the rise in antisemitism” in New York City.
In a statement, Mamdani said he welcomed “Jeffries’ support and look forward to delivering a city government, and building a Democratic Party, relentlessly committed to our affordability agenda — and to fighting Trump’s authoritarianism.”

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul endorsed the nominee last month, while Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, also from Brooklyn, has still not offered his support.
Mamdani’s campaign centers on tackling New York City’s affordability crisis, proposing a temporary rent freeze for rent-stabilized units, free city buses, and a 2 percent tax increase on the wealthiest New Yorkers.

Tamar Braxton Denies Having Sex With Sister Toni Braxton’s Man

In a dramatic turn in the ongoing dynamics of the Toni Braxton family, sister Tamar Braxton has publicly denied allegations of an affair with a man linked to Toni. Tamar issued a firm statement on Thursday evening to refute the claims. “I did not have sex with my sister’s man,” she said. “That is false and hurtful.”

The rumors surfaced earlier this week when an unnamed network show aired a beeped-out reference to Toni’s partner. The broadcast insinuated Tamar had engaged in a sexual encounter with that man. Neither the man’s identity nor the nature of his relationship with Toni was revealed. According to the website The Jasmine Brand, Tamar “adamantly denies” the allegation.

In response, Toni has remained silent publicly, though tensions between the sisters have been aired in previous seasons of their reality series. Earlier this year, Toni accused Tamar of gaslighting her, sparking significant media commentary.
Tamar addressed the issue directly via Instagram Live, telling followers: “I care deeply about truth and about my family. I will not allow lies to fester.” She added: “I love my sister and always will. But I won’t let my character be dragged through the mud.”

Friends close to the family told AP that the allegation first surfaced after a private conflict over finances, which then escalated when the show’s producers reportedly asked the sisters about “relationship troubles.” One source says the network “beeped the man’s name because they feared legal risk.”

Industry insiders say the episode will likely be featured in the next installment of the family’s reality series, where the sisters handle “relationship fallout” and internal strife. While no lawsuit or legal claim has been filed, the public nature of the denial indicates Tamar is taking the matter seriously.
Tamar also emphasized her commitment to transparency and healing: “I’m in a place in my life where I want peace with my family and with myself. I refuse to accept lies as truth.” The sisters have been in the public eye for decades, and this latest storm raises questions about how much private life will continue to play out in public.

NBA Coach and Player Arrested in Alleged Gambling Scheme Connected to the Mafia
Federal authorities announced Thursday that two major figures in the league have been arrested in connection with a vast gambling operation allegedly tied to organized crime. The arrests include Chauncey Billups, head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, and Terry Rozier, a guard for the Miami Heat, along with more than 30 other individuals.

According to the indictments unsealed in New York, Billups was charged with participating in a conspiracy to run high-stakes poker games that were rigged and backed by major crime families. Authorities say the scheme used manipulated shuffling machines and even X-ray technology to read the cards of unsuspecting gamblers. “The fraud is mind-boggling,” said Kash Patel, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

In a separate but related case, Rozier is accused of providing insider information about games — including player availability and injuries — which allowed bettors to place unlawful wagers on NBA contests. Prosecutors allege the information was used to place prop bets with the outcome heavily skewed.

U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella Jr. described the arrests as “one of the most brazen sports corruption schemes since online sports betting became widely legalized in the United States.”
Both Billups and Rozier have been placed on immediate leave by their teams and the league. A statement from the NBA emphasized: “We take these allegations with the utmost seriousness, and the integrity of our game remains our top priority.”

The Trail Blazers announced that assistant coach Tiago Splitter will serve as interim head coach while the investigation proceeds.
The two indictments span 11 states and involve tens of millions of dollars, according to law enforcement. The poker scheme allegedly drew on the influence of four of New York’s prominent mafia families, including the Bonanno crime family, Gambino crime family and Genovese crime family.
Billups, who entered the Basketball Hall of Fame last year after a 17-year NBA playing career, is alleged to have served as the “face card” for high-stakes illicit games and to have aided in laundering proceeds.

The arrests send a sharp signal of the vulnerabilities facing a sports-betting industry that has grown rapidly in recent years. Investigators say that the scheme exploited prop bets and inside information that linked athletes, coaches and organized crime. One example given by prosecutors involved players removing themselves from games early to benefit specific bets.

As the league continues to navigate the expansion of legalized sports betting, the investigation may prompt stricter regulations, enhanced monitoring of player conduct and strengthened game-integrity protocols.
Billups and Rozier both face federal charges including wire fraud conspiracy and money-laundering conspiracy, each carrying potentially up to 20 years in prison. Court appearances are forthcoming and many questions remain unanswered.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again will be welcoming his 13th child.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again will soon be welcoming his 13th child. YB has a new lease on life after being pardoned by President Trump and reigniting his career on the massive MASA Tour. His wife, Jazlyn Mychelle, also has a bun in the oven. YB first announced the upcoming new edition on the song "If You Need Me," where he raps, "Me and Jaz on our third kid, me and you just ran another lap."

In recent weeks, Jazlyn has been popping out for the MASA Tour, with fans capturing footage of her appearing to be far along in her pregnancy. On Monday (Oct. 20), a video of Jazlyn getting glammed up was shared on her stylist's Instagram page. In the clip, Jaz has a sizable baby bump. In another video shared on IG the following day (Oct. 21), she is wearing a shirt showing her protruding midriff.

NBA YoungBoy, 26, already has 12 children with 10 women. Back in August, he claimed one of his other children's mothers, Iyanna Mayweather, was also pregnant on the track "This Month Confessions."
"Now Yaya pregnant, gotta make her get rid of it/This ain't the time, I told you, 'No', I made you cry, now I feel illiterate," he raps.
However, Iyanna denied that she is expecting a child with the rapper.

This will be Top and Jazlyn's third child. They already have a 4-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son.

Jay-Z Wins Latest Court Battle As Judge Denies Restraining Order From Alleged Son’s Godmother
Jay-Z scored another victory in his long-running legal battle against Lillie Coley, the godmother of a man who claims to be his biological son. On Friday, a California federal judge denied Coley’s emergency request for a restraining order, which sought to halt a sanctions hearing she described as “retaliatory.”

According to AllHipHop, Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett ruled that Coley failed to meet the legal standard for immediate court action, allowing Jay-Z’s legal team to proceed with efforts to sanction her for what they call “decades-long harassment.”

The case stems from allegations by Rymir Satterthwaite, who has claimed Jay-Z is his father for years. Coley, Satterthwaite’s former guardian, has led the legal push despite multiple dismissals. In 2022, a New Jersey judge barred Coley and Satterthwaite from filing new paternity suits without prior approval.

Jay-Z’s lawyers argue that the filings are ab*sive and unsupported by evidence, while Coley continues to claim he has evaded DNA testing.

What are your thoughts on this longstanding drama?

Muni Long Sued By Ex-Managers, Including Music Exec Chaka Zulu, For $600K In Unpaid Commissions

Muni Long is facing a lawsuit from her former managers, who claim she owes more than $600,000 in unpaid commissions.
Ebony Son Entertainment, run by industry veterans Chaka Zulu and Jeff Dixon, alleges the Grammy-winning singer stopped paying her agreed-upon 20% management fee in late 2024 despite earning millions through shows, deals, and collaborations. The pair, who helped manage Ludacris under their Disturbing Tha Peace label, say their work played a major role in Long’s Grammy success.

“Defendant Priscilla Renea Hamilton is publicly known as the musical artist ‘Muni Long’ but her less well-known performances are as a serial grifter,” the lawsuit states.
Long’s team fired back, calling the claims “unfounded” and insisting “no formal contract ever existed.” They allege Ebony Son’s team once “took possession of the artist’s phone and sought to have her involuntarily committed” during a lupus flare-up.

Zulu is an established businessman but he’s most widely known for a criminal case he was fighting. He previously faced a 2022 mrder charge stemming from an Atlanta sh*ting, but prosecutors later dropped the case, ruling he acted in self-defense.

Megan The Stallion Files to Dismiss Cameraman Lawsuit

Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion is currently being sued by her former photographer, Emilio Garcia, for wrongful termination
Meg's legal team files to dismiss claiming Garcia has no proof of his claims...

In Tuesday’s new filing, Megan’s lawyers say that after extensive discovery – the process in a civil lawsuit where both sides exchange evidence – it’s now clear that Garcia lacks the necessary proof to win most of his case. She’s seeking so-called summary judgment on all but a few of Garcia claims, including his accusation that she fired him in retaliation.
“The evidence demonstrates that plaintiff’s own insulting text messages about Ms. Pete — not any purported complaints about his work environment or wages — caused the end of his services,” her lawyers say.

Megan’s filing came a day after Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, her management company, filed a similar motion seeking to end the lawsuit. In it, the company said that Garcia had “inexplicably” named the company though Roc had “never employed plaintiff, or even contracted for one minute” of his cameraman services: “The time has come to end the burden and expense that this suit has imposed on Roc Nation.”

Wendy Williams Is Prepping for her Court Appearance
Former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams is scheduled to testify in court for the lawsuit filed by her court ordered guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, against Lifetime over Morissey's portrayal in the "Where is Wendy Williams," documentary

Wendy is in intensive training prepping for her deposition...Warrior Wendy Williams is plotting her comeback – in the courtroom.
RadarOnline.com can reveal the 61-year-old former talk show queen has begun "intensive training sessions" to prepare for a high-stakes deposition in her lawsuit against Lifetime and A&E over their Where Is Wendy Williams? docuseries – a showdown her inner circle believes could finally shatter her court-ordered guardianship.
"She knows this deposition is everything," shared an insider. "If Wendy comes across as sharp, strong and totally in control, it could show she's capable of making her own decisions again."

A judge has already ruled Williams' dementia and aphasia diagnoses don't disqualify her from testifying – but her camp isn't leaving anything to chance.
She's working with legal coaches, memory specialists, even medical pros," revealed another source.
"This isn't just about a lawsuit – this is about freedom."
Back in August, the former TV host demanded a new dementia test and claimed the results of her prior tests "were manipulated to make her look worse than she is and keep her locked away."

Kamala Harris Addresses Possibility of Running for President Again

Kamala Harris reveals if she plans on running for President again. In a new interview with the BBC set to air on Sunday morning (October 26), the 61-year-old former Vice President of the United States made it clear that her career in politics isn’t over yet.

“I am not done,” Harris said. “I have lived my entire career as a life of service and it’s in my bones.”
She also said that there’s still a chance of her “possibly” being elected as the next President.
When asked about her place in the polls where she currently ranks very low (even ranking behind Dwayne Johnson), Harris dismissed the results.

“If I listened to polls I would have not run for my first office, or my second office – and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here,” Harris asserted.
During an interview from over the summer, Kamala Harris explained why she’s not running for Governor of California.

Today, the brand we all grew up admiring is using our platform to design faster, test ideas instantly, experiment without limits and bring entirely new silhouettes to life. Nike has always defined the future of footwear, and Zellerfeld’s technology is helping unlock new possibilities in design.”
