#MAGFAB: Teyana Taylor Covers ELLE Magazine’s 2025 ‘Women in Hollywood’ Issue

ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER star Teyana Taylor covers ELLE magazine’s 2025 ‘Women in Hollywood’ issue photographed by Carin Backoff and styled by Alex White.
The musician, director, and ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER standout has proven she can do it all. And she’s doing it her own way.

Teyana on the mantra she lives by:
“Honestly, the wait is not punishment; it’s preparation. A lot of times, when we’re going through something or things are not going our way, or in the timing that we want them to go, we keep asking, ‘But why?’ And it’s just understanding that it’s okay if something is not yours. Yes, it can hurt, but that was not for you. I used to pray for times like this to be in this position. Don’t harp on what’s not for you; no matter what that is, whether it is in the business, in a friendship, or in a relationship, I will be okay.”
Teyana on releasing Escape Room, following her five-year hiatus from music:
“I recorded this album on my terms. This is the most vulnerable work I’ve ever done; my label gave me a lot of support and freedom to do that. Sometimes, you’ve got to just shake the table. Some people believed, and some people didn’t believe in the vision I had, and that that made me go harder. Would I have been the same Inez if I didn’t go through that? Would I have been the same Perfidia? Would I be the creative artist that I am today if I hadn’t gone through that break?”

Teyana on what Perfidia, her character in One Battle, taught her:

“Perfidia is unapologetically herself, and those are the parts of her that inspire me because I feel, as a Black woman, when we are at that level of confidence, we’re told that we’re too loud. When we say nothing at all, we’re told that we need to stand up. We stay, we’re weak. We go, we’re the problem. I can appreciate Perfidia standing on what she believes in.”

#RHOA: Porsha Williams of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Loves This 4-Ingredient Tequila Cocktail

Porsha Williams is a true Georgia peach. It’s clear in the way she carries herself — both on and off the set of The Real Housewives of Atlanta — that Williams is as authentic and as passionate as they come. She also loves to host. Her (very-on-theme) go-to cocktail is a spin on a classic margarita that she calls a  “Peach, Please,” margarita, which features Altos tequila, peach preserves, lime, and tajín. It’s perfectly refreshing.

This is Miss Porsha we’re talking about — being the confident woman that she is, we’d expect nothing less. To Williams, hosting isn’t just one night of fun — it’s a moment that curates memories for a lifetime, so it has to be perfect.
Williams takes any moment — whether it’s a party or a business decision — and makes it her own. From her Go Naked Hair, to her Pampered by Porsha business ventures, the TV personality only invests in products she believes will reflect those moments.

“I like to feel like I romanticize my life, my personal life to my professional life, and that brands that I partner with are brands that I actually use. These are things that I actually believe in and things that are part of my life,” Williams tells The Kitchn. “Everything is just consistent. I can talk about it authentically.” Bottom line: Williams keeps it fun, keeps it real, and keeps it her.

What is your go-to breakfast?

I love a soft-boiled egg. That’s what I had this morning. A soft-boiled or sunny-side-up egg with toast and bacon. That’s it; and most days I don’t do toast because I don’t do a lot of carbs. [When I do] literally I want to have that soft yolk and dip it in the bread. It doesn’t even have to have butter on it. I know, it is so basic, but with the salt and the pepper it just hits the spot.

What is your favorite lunch?

I just had the best Caesar salad that I think I’ve ever had here at Mission and Market in Atlanta (and that pesto on the chicken … it is delicious). I will also have to do a shout-out to Houston’s. I love the salmon; the appetizer with the salmon and the chef sauce … this smoked salmon is so, so good. I got one more: ribs from Sgt Wyatt’s Country BBQ in Decatur. I don’t care who you are, how saditty you are — I’m gonna make you eat some ribs from Decatur. And that is a little pull-up — it’s a little trailer and you pull right up to it. It is delicious.

What’s an easy dinner recipe that you’ve been loving recently?

I hate to say it, but I just realized there’s a full grill on my stove, so now I’m a grill freak. What’s easiest to me is just throw a steak on there. It takes like maybe 15 or 20 minutes to cook with some garlic butter. Oh my God. Steak, with a potato and green beans or broccoli. That is definitely my easiest go-to. It doesn’t take me long to cook it at all, and it tastes like I’ve been in the kitchen for hours.

What is your favorite snack to eat while filming?

We really don’t even get time to eat … unless we’re doing a dinner scene. And if we’re doing a dinner scene, we take full advantage. Yes, we are talking, but we’ll sit there and order the entire menu to-go. Yes. No snacking and honestly, I’m not a snacker anyway.

What are your three tips for throwing a successful dinner party?

I would have to say, have the perfect tequila. If you’re going to have a great dinner, make sure that the dinner goes along with the drink. Theme it out; go all the way in with it. I’m the type of person, I’ll even stop at the store and get a couple decorations or flowers — something to put on the countertop. So, I just say commit. If people are leaving their homes to come to your house and eat, you’re going to want to make sure that you have it covered top to bottom.

What is your kitchen must-have?

I hate to say it (I hope my mom doesn’t read this), but it’s an air fryer. She has actually hid my air fryer from me before. I went and found it, so I have to have my air fryer.

#HipHopNews: A$AP Relli To Drop Civil Assault Suit Against A$AP Rocky, Attorney Says He's Ready To "Move On"
A$AP Relli has officially ended his civil lawsuit over a 2021 shooting involving A$AP Rocky.
He is now pursuing a defamation case over public statements made by A$AP Rocky and his lawyer.
A judge warned A$AP Relli that the defamation suit could cost him tens of thousands in legal fees.

A$AP Rocky is now 2-0 in his legal battles with A$AP Relli.
On Tuesday (Nov. 11), Billboard reported that A$AP Relli is dropping his civil assault lawsuit accusing the Harlem rapper of shooting him in 2021. His attorney, Aaron Morris, told the outlet that A$AP Relli is “ready to simply move on” from the incident. A$AP Rocky was previously acquitted of the same allegations at a criminal trial in February.

“The ordeal has been a nightmare for him, and the statements calling him a ‘liar’ and worse effectively eliminated his chances of a career in the industry,” Morris told the publication, noting that they plan to file paperwork to dismiss the case later this week.
That may be another win for A$AP Rocky, but A$AP Relli isn’t entirely backing down yet. He still intends to move forward with a separate defamation lawsuit against the "L$D" rapper and his lawyer, Joe Tacopina, over statements to the press that described his claims as “extortion” and a “get-rich-quick scheme.”

“He’s going to litigate the defamation action because of the damages it caused,” Morris said. “But as to the shooting, he’s thankful he wasn’t hurt worse and is focusing on rebuilding his life.”
In September, Los Angeles County Judge Randolph M. Hammock warned A$AP Relli that his defamation lawsuit could end up costing him big. “I’m not talking chump change here. It would be tens of thousands, easily,” he said of the suit, estimating that fees owed to A$AP Rocky and Tacopina could reach upward of $50,000.

“I would urge you to contact the other side and see if a deal can be made,” Judge Hammock suggested. “Maybe in exchange for dismissing the lawsuit, they’ll drop their claim for fees … Maybe it’s time to cut your losses.” A$AP Relli, however, said he’s “already invested over $500,000” in his fight for justice.

#PRAYERS: Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson, 84, hospitalized
Civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson has been hospitalized, according to a statement obtained by media. Jackson, 84, a protégé of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., is under observation for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), the Rainbow PUSH Coalition said Wednesday evening.
“He has been managing this neurodegenerative condition for more than a decade,” the organization said in the statement.
“He was originally diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease however, last April, his PSP condition was confirmed. The family appreciates all prayers at this time.”

Further details about his condition have not been released.
The inside story of how Jesse Jackson almost became America’s first Black presidential nominee
PSP is “a rare neurological disorder that affects body movements, walking and balance, and eye movements,” according to the US National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

The disease typically begins in a person’s 60s and has some symptoms similar to Parkinson’s disease, it adds. Most people with PSP develop severe disability within three to five years.
Jackson rose to national prominence in the 1960s and has spent more than six decades advocating for racial equality, economic justice and voter rights.
In 1971, he founded Operation PUSH as a way to improve Black communities’ economic conditions across the US.

Jackson later launched the National Rainbow Coalition, in 1984, with the goal of obtaining equal rights for all Americans, according to the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.

Some 12 years later, the two organizations merged to form Rainbow PUSH Coalition.
The organization’s origins stemmed from the Southern Christian Leadership Conference’s Operation Breadbasket, founded by King, according to the website.
Jackson’s health drew public attention in 2017 when he spoke openly about his diagnosis of Parkinson’s, an incurable disease characterized by tremors, stiffness and impaired movement.

“My family and I began to notice changes about three years ago,” Jackson wrote in a statement at the time, calling the recognition of the symptoms “painful,” and noting Parkinson’s was the disease “that bested my father.”
He said he took the diagnosis as “a signal that I must make lifestyle changes and dedicate myself to physical therapy in hopes of slowing the disease’s progression.”
In 2021, Jackson faced several health challenges, including gallbladder surgery and Covid-19 hospitalization with his wife. Later that year, he suffered a fall and hit his head while attending a meeting at Howard University in Washington, DC, and was kept in the hospital overnight for observation.

In July 2023, Jackson announced his retirement as president of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, succeeded by Rev. Frederick Douglass Haynes III.

Eddie Murphy Details His Lifelong Journey with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
Eddie Murphy shared insight into his journey with obsessive-compulsive disorder in his new documentary Being Eddie, tracing behaviors back to his childhood.

Eddie Murphy knows he has layers. The Shrek star recently got candid about his journey with what he’s described as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)—which can feature a pattern of unwanted thoughts and fears leading to repetitive behaviors, or compulsions—and how he can trace his obsessive behaviors back to his childhood.

“I didn’t know what it was,” Eddie explained in his new Netflix documentary Being Eddie. “I would go and check the stove in the kitchen and make sure all the gas was off in the kitchen. And I’d lay down for about, you know, five minutes, and I would get back up and go back in the kitchen and look at the stove again and check all the gas, and then I’d go back in the bed and lay there for about five, 10 minutes and then get back up and go look at it.”

The pattern, the comedian recalled, would last for about an hour and was repeated every night.
“I’d just say, ‘That’s just some weird s--t that I do,’” he added. “My mother, nobody knew this was going on.”
It wasn’t until he was watching TV one day that Eddie realized there was something more to his actions.
“One day I was watching the news and they did something on OCD,” he explained, “and it was like, ‘Oh, that’s what I—I be doing s--t like that.’ I was like, ‘Oh, mental illness?’”

The realization that his behavior could fall under the category of a mental illness, Eddie said, was enough to break him of the habit.
“I made myself stop doing it,” he said, “I was like, ‘I’m not doing it no more. I thought I was weird. I ain’t know I had some mental illness. F--k that. I ain’t have no mental illness. Mental illness, my ass.’ And I forced myself to stop doing it.”
But while the Trading Places star—who is dad to 10 children—said he was able to quit cold turkey in his childhood, he admitted the habit hasn’t completely left him.

“I check the gas every night, still,” he said. “But every now and then, I’ll check it twice, and say ‘No, motherf--ker, you ain’t starting that s--t again. Take your ass to bed.’”
In the documentary, however, Eddie also speculated that his OCD—and accompanying attention to detail—may have helped him along his comedic journey.

“Sense of humor is ultimately an acute sense of proportion,” he explained. “The funny person notices stuff first.”
As for accepting himself where he’s at, Eddie has a simple answer.
As he said elsewhere in the documentary, “I love myself. Always loved myself. That’s the most important thing.
Being Eddie, currently streaming, is an intimate look at the actor’s journey from standup comic to Saturday Night Live cast member to movie star—all while sharing insight into his inner world, including allowing cameras into his home for the very first time.

“Through the documentary, people get a better understanding of how I got here,” he told Tudum in an interview published Nov. 12. “A young person might think I just walked out of heaven into Hollywood, but that’s not quite how it happened. For the first time, they’re getting a little peek at me

Singer Akon arrested near Atlanta for missing court over suspended license

Hip-hop artist Akon was arrested last week in suburban Atlanta after he didn't show up in court to face a ticket for driving with a suspended license.
Police records show Akon, whose legal name is Aliaune Thiam, was arrested Friday by police in Chamblee, just northeast of Atlanta. Akon was taken to the DeKalb County jail, where he was handed over to the Roswell police. They in turn booked Thiam into another jail, after which he posted bail and was released the same day.

Akon, who was born in the United States to Senegalese parents, rose to R&B fame after his 2004 debut album. The Grammy-nominated singer has performed on more than a dozen Top 10 hits, including “Smack That,” ’’I Wanna Love You” and “Locked Up.” He has also been active in philanthropic ventures in Africa, having lived in Senegal as a child.

Representatives for Akon didn't immediately respond to requests seeking comment Wednesday.
Police reports from Roswell show Akon, who lists an address in gated community in neighboring Alpharetta, was found Sept. 10 in a disabled Tesla Cybertruck on a busy street. The police officer called for a tow truck. While he was waiting, the report states the officer checked the license plate and found Akon had no valid auto insurance and had a suspended driver’s license for failing to appear for a court hearing in January 2023.

Police impounded the truck and cited Akon for driving without a valid license, the report says, taking the license he was carrying and releasing him. Police also found and seized an “illegal vape,” the report says.
Chamblee police told local news outlets they responded to a business called Tint World on Friday when a traffic camera alerted them that the Cybertruck was present and was connected to an outstanding warrant.

Akon is currently on tour in India. He performed in Delhi on Sunday, two days after his arrest.

Jeffrey Epstein spills the Tea on Trump in newly released emails
Jeffrey Epstein referenced President Donald Trump in emails to his associate Ghislaine Maxwell and a journalist, claiming in one that Trump "knew about the girls," according to emails released by House Democrats.
Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released three email chains, sent between 2011 and 2019, saying the documents came from the late convicted sex offender's estate as part of the committee's investigation into the Epstein case.

Epstein died by suicide in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. His death has sparked conspiracy theories, including some claiming that Epstein's powerful friends were involved in his crimes.

The administration faced intense backlash and bipartisan calls for transparency after the Justice Department and FBI released an unsigned memo saying they had reviewed the case against Epstein and Maxwell and that no other people would be charged in connection with their cases and that no additional material or evidence would be released.
In a statement to NBC News, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt accused Democrats of "selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump."

She added, "These stories are nothing more than bad-faith efforts to distract from President Trump’s historic accomplishments, and any American with common sense sees right through this hoax and clear distraction from the government opening back up again.”
NBC News reached out to the Justice Department for comment. NBC News also reached out to lawyers for Maxwell and for Michael Wolff, the journalist to whom some of the emails were addressed.

In a 2019 email released by the committee on Wednesday, Epstein wrote to Wolff that Trump “knew about the girls.”
“[REDACTED] mara lago. [REDACTED],” the email, sent several months before Epstein’s death, reads. “Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. Of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop.”
House Democrats released emails from Jeffrey Epstein that referenced Trump.House Oversight committee

The email was apparently referencing Trump and Epstein's soured relationship. The two were friends for years, but the White House said earlier this year that Trump booted Epstein “out of his club for being a creep.”
“He took people that worked for me. And I told him, ‘Don’t do it anymore.’ And he did it,” Trump told reporters in July, adding, “I said, ‘Stay the hell out of here.’”

The emails contain multiple references to a victim, whose name is redacted in the release. But the White House and Republicans on the committee said that the redacted name was Virginia Giuffre, a prominent Epstein survivor who died in April.
Trump has said that Giuffre worked for him at Mar-a-Lago before Epstein "stole her." Giuffre had never accused Trump of wrongdoing and in her memoir, published posthumously this year, she said that “Trump couldn’t have been friendlier" when she first met him while working at Mar-a-Lago.

The top Democrat on the House committee, Rep. Robert Garcia of California, said in a statement that the released emails “raise glaring questions about what else the White House is hiding and the nature of the relationship between Epstein and the President.”
A bipartisan group of lawmakers this summer pushed to force a vote on the House floor to try to make the Justice Department release all files related to Epstein. The lawmakers gained enough supporters on Wednesday afternoon when Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva, D-Ariz., was sworn into office. She has said she would be the necessary 218th signature on the petition, which compels the House to take further action.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump called the Epstein story a "hoax" and accused Democrats of releasing the documents to distract from news about the government shutdown. He urged Republicans not to "fall into that trap."
"There should be no deflections to Epstein or anything else, and any Republicans involved should be focused only on opening up our Country, and fixing the massive damage caused by the Democrats," he said.
A spokesperson for the Republican-led committee accused Democrats in a statement of aiming to "carelessly cherry-pick documents to generate click-bait that is not grounded in the facts.”

Republicans on the committee later Wednesday released what they say are 20,000 additional pages from Epstein's estate. Trump is referenced repeatedly in those documents, which NBC News is reviewing.
In another email released by Democrats that Epstein allegedly sent to Maxwell in 2011, Epstein says Trump "spent hours" with someone the committee says was a victim. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence on sex trafficking charges in connection with Epstein.
"I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. Police chief. etc. im 75 % there," the email said.
Epstein said Trump "spent hours" with someone that the committee says was a victim of Epstein's.House Oversight committee

Asked during a press briefing whether Trump has ever spent hours with a victim at Epstein’s house, Leavitt said, “These emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong.”
The larger set of documents released by Republicans on the committee contained an Aug. 2018 email exchange between former Obama White House lawyer Kathy Ruemmler and Epstein. Ruemmler had sent Epstein a link to a New York Times op-ed that referenced former Trump fixer Michael Cohen, who had just pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance laws related to hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

In one email from the exchange, Epstein wrote, “you see, I know how dirty donald is. My guess is that non lawyers ny biz people have no idea. What it means to have your fixer flip.”
In a 2015 email released by the Democrats, Wolff informed Epstein that he heard CNN intended to ask Trump about his relationship with Epstein. Epstein responded by asking, “if we were able to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?”
“I think you should let him hang himself,” Wolff responded. “If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency.”

House Democrats released emails from Jeffrey Epstein that referenced Trump.House Oversight Committee
Wolff told ABC News on Wednesday he "was in an in-depth conversation with Epstein at that time about his relationship with Donald Trump."
“I was trying at that time to get Epstein to talk about his relationship with Trump, and actually, he proved to be an enormously valuable source to me,” Wolff told ABC News. “Part of the context of this is that I was pushing Epstein at that point to go public with what he knew about Trump.”

Wolff is enmired in a legal battle with first lady Melania Trump, who Wolff said threatened to sue him to prevent his reporting on her alleged ties to Epstein. Wolff responded with a lawsuit of his own, claiming that the first lady’s threat was “made for the sole purpose of harassing, intimidating, punishing or otherwise maliciously inhibiting Mr. Wolff’s free exercise of speech.”

Former NBA star Michael Ray Richardson dies at age 70

Four-time NBA All-Star Michael Ray Richardson, who was banned from the league for drug use, died Tuesday in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 shortly after getting diagnosed with prostate cancer, his attorney and friend John Zelbst told Andscape.

"The basketball world and anyone Michael came in contact with lost a great sportsman," Zelbst said. "He lived life to the fullest. He overcame the most incredible odds to accomplish what he did in life. He serves as an example on how to redeem yourself and make something of yourself. I think he is the greatest NBA player that has never been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Incredible player -- player, person and family man."

The Denver native starred at the University of Montana before being selected by the New York Knicks with the fourth overall pick in the 1978 NBA draft. "Sugar," as he was nicknamed, had an eight-year NBA career with the Knicks, Golden State Warriors and New Jersey Nets, earning four All-Star selections while leading the NBA in steals three times. The 1985 NBA Comeback Player of the Year also averaged a career-high 20.1 points, 8.2 assists, 5.6 rebounds and a league-best 3.0 steals per game for the Nets during the 1984-85 season.

"He had it all as a player, with no weaknesses in his game," former Detroit Pistons guard Isiah Thomas, a Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer, told Andscape in June. "He is the player who gave me the most problems playing against him. He was taller, just as fast and could shoot from 3 and midrange. His post-up game was elite. Offensively, he had it all."

"Back when he played in the NBA, the best guards were Magic [Johnson] and then Sugar," former NBA guard Quinn Buckner said.
Richardson, however, was banned from the NBA in 1986 for violating the league's drug policy for a third time. The two-time NBA all-defensive first-team selection had substance abuse problems stemming from cocaine use. After being banned from the NBA, he had a short stint in the Continental Basketball Association before starring professionally primarily in Italy and France. Richardson retired from professional basketball in 2002 after playing for AC Golfe-Juan-Vallauris in France.

"My darkest day was when the guy [from the NBA] met me at the airport and told me I was banned from the NBA," Richardson told Andscape in May. "I will never forget that day. They waited for me in Newark. As soon as I got off the plane, I knew what was going on. After that, I went home and went on a few days binge. And then after that, I came to. I got myself into it. I have to get myself out."

Richardson also coached in the Continental Basketball Association for the Albany Patroons and the Oklahoma/Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry. Richardson led the Cavalry to three consecutive titles -- with the CBA in 2008 and 2009 and the Premier Basketball League in 2010. He coached the London Lightning of NBL Canada from 2011 to 2014 and has coached basketball camps for underserved communities each summer since 2014 with former Nets teammate Otis Birdsong in Florida, New Jersey and California. Richardson also previously served as an ambassador for the Denver Nuggets in the early 2000s.

Richardson retired to Oklahoma with his wife, Kimberly, and was a regular at Oklahoma City Thunder games in recent years. In 2024, Richardson co-authored a book about his life called, "Banned: How I Squandered an All-Star NBA Career Before Finding My Redemption." His son, Michael Amir Junior Richardson, plays professional soccer in Italy for Fiorentina and nationally for Morocco.

Michael Ray Richardson described it as a "blessing" to turn 70 years old, which was celebrated by family members during a surprise birthday party in Phoenix in April.
"I'm still here after all the s--- I've gone through," Richardson told Andscape in May. "I was thanking everyone for coming. It was a surprise. All of my friends were happy to see me because I haven't seen all of my friends in 10 years. It's really good to see your friends because every year you lose somebody."

Legendary Actor Morgan Freeman says he doesn't plan to retire, explains why he keeps working
Morgan Freeman may be approaching 90, but his only question about the milestone is whether he'll still be playing golf. He tells AARP's Movies for Grownups in a new interview that he has no retirement plans and that he keeps working because he learned that it's the secret to longevity.

"There is a saying about old age — 'Keep moving' — and what Clint Eastwood says: 'Don’t let the old man in,'" Morgan says. "The way to do that is to keep getting up in the morning, keep working out in the gym, keep taking your vitamins, keep taking your prescribed meds, and keep moving. Keep moving. That is the secret to it all."

Morgan has acted in a slew of films over the years, but he says Driving Miss Daisy and Invictus best represent his career. He also shared his desire to make a movie with Meryl Streep, whom he described as "the best."
His latest project will see him reprise the role of Thaddeus Bradley in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the third installment of the Now You See Me franchise. Asked what he loves most about revisiting the character, Morgan says, "You’re more comfortable learning your lines, you’re more comfortably ensconced in the role, you’re more comfortable interacting with the same actors that you were interacting with before. You know what to expect. It makes it easy."

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t arrives in theaters Friday.

Nicki Minaj has gone MAGA! She Shares Anti-Trans White House Post
In a year in which Nicki Minaj has birthed not one, but two TikTok trends, the rapper has courted backlash after aligning with the White House in multiple social media posts.

On Tuesday, Minaj reposted an official White House TikTok video touting all of Donald Trump’s purported achievements during the first year of his second presidential term. The achievements included “No men in women’s sports,” alongside “Our cities are safer than ever” and “World peace.” The video also featured Minaj’s song “Va Va Voom.”
The bizarre, short clip, is currently listed under Minaj’s “Reposted” tab on her official TikTok account, where she boasts over 22 million followers.

Though the White House’s post did not mention trans people by name, “No men in women’s sports” has been a cornerstone of Trump’s anti-trans agenda. On his first day in office in January, Trump signed an executive order defining gender as binary and determined at birth. In February, he followed that up with an order named “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” which deemed the participation of trans women in women’s sports to be a violation of Title IX, a federal law barring sex-based discrimination in federally-funded programs, including schools. The order led to governing bodies like the National Collegiate Athletic Association to ban trans women from women’s sports leagues.

Most of the other videos Minaj reposted in recent weeks feature variations of her viral challenge sporting a mashup of “Beez in the Trap” and “What’s Up” by the 4 Non Blondes. That includes a November 3 video, also from the White House TikTok account, of Trump alongside his wife Melania Trump. Rather than participating in the challenge, the two are seen walking and holding hands in stock footage.

Minaj’s reposting of the TikTok video comes just a few days after the rapper posted a screenshot of a Trump post from Truth Social, the social media company partly owned by the president. Trump’s original post highlighted attacks on Christians in Nigeria. (As pointed out by the New York Times, Trump’s aid cuts from earlier this year have killed many more Christians than any group he seems to be worried about.)

Minaj stated that reading the president’s post gave her a “deep sense of gratitude” because “We live in a country where we can freely worship God.”
“Thank you to The President & his team for taking this seriously,” Minaj added. “God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.”

When one of Minaj’s LGBTQ+ fans quoted the rapper’s post and criticized her for praising Trump, and thus alienating her queer fans, Minaj lashed out at them and seemed to blame her gay fans for not protecting her in a since-deleted post, per Out.
"Imagine hearing that Christians are being MURDERED & making it about you being gay,” MInaj wrote. “When my home was swatted multiple times with my innocent toddler inside (with maybe 20 officers with guns drawn pointed at home due to political corruption), you being gay couldn’t save me.”

While Minaj has grown more vocal in her support for Trump in the past, the rapper has expressed alignment with Trump since his days as a candidate for president. In a December 2015 interview with Billboard, Minaj said, “There are points he has made that may not have been so horrible if his approach wasn’t so childish.” She continued, “But in terms of entertainment — I think he’s hilarious. I wish they could just film him running for president. That’s the ultimate reality show.”

Questlove Teases New D'Angelo Music
The world may soon get to hear new music from D'Angelo, according to Questlove. While attending the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on November 8, The Roots drummer and producer alluded that the world might soon get to hear unreleased songs from the late Soul Singer: "You'll see soon," he said when asked about the possibility of a posthumous D'Angelo release.

"It's always the sound of yesterday but for the future, and this record's no different," he told reporter Courtney Tezeno when asked to describe the what the unreleased music sounded like.

It's been over 10 years since D'Angelo released his last and final studio album, Black Messiah, in 2014. D'Angelo, real name Michael Eugene Archer, died on October 14 in New York City after a private battle with pancreatic cancer. This past January, the reclusive made an appearance in Questlove's documentary about pop music pioneer Sly Stone, Sly Lives!, where he reflected on the similar struggles he and Sly faced in their careers.

D'Angelo had been working on an album with longtime collaborator Raphael Saddiq for several years at the time of his death, according to Variety. He was scheduled to perform at the Roots Picnic 2025 festival months before he died, however pulled out before it took place.

At press time, D'Angelo's estate hasn't confirmed any official posthumous releases, songs, albums or otherwise.Last month neo-soul singer, D'Angelo, passed away age 51 after a bout with pancreatic cancer

Stephen A. Smith Highlights Michelle Beadle Being “Jobless” In Response To Prayers For His “Downfall”

Stephen A. Smith has responded to sports commentator Michelle Beadle‘s explosive tirade targeting him, in which Beadle reveled in her admission that she “prays” for Smith’s “downfall.”
Beadle recently unloaded on Smith during a broadcast on her platform, Beadle & Decker, tearing into the ESPN star for partnering with a “fraudulent” gaming company to promote their digital solitaire game.

“Honestly, I’m not a religious person, but I pray for the downfall,” Beadle said on the episode, which was uploaded on the show’s YouTube last Thursday (Nov. 6). “It’s gross, man, you gotta have principles in this thing.”

On Friday (Nov. 7), during his afternoon show on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio, Smith appeared to address Beadle’s comments, albeit without mentioning her by name.
“I hear people talking about me on SiriusXM and who they would have preferred and who they would have wanted or whatever. I’ve been doing this for 30 years,” Smith began. “I’ve been blessed and fortunate that when I’m doing stuff in this industry, I win.

“You got some people that were in this business and they talk smack now cause they can’t get a job in the business cause they didn’t do a good enough job when they were in the business so now they gotta talk smack and their reputation is they’re talking to people.”
Smith went on to seemingly accuse Beadle of having a bad attitude and lacking work ethic, factors he suggests has left her without a job at a major network or media company. “Well, what you got going on,” the Hollis, Queens native asked.

“It’s all of that that comes with it, because somewhere along the way, they didn’t do what it took to resonate continuously. And that’s why they’re on the outside looking in… they don’t have a job in the industry. Don’t think they don’t want one. They do. They just didn’t know how to act, and they didn’t know how to be productive enough to keep a job.”

He continued, adding, “Some of these podcasts, some of the stuff that you see them saying, they ain’t even talking about things, they are talking about people because they don’t have to do real work. They can find a way to get clicks and make money that way cause they can’t make money any way else.
“Those people, you let them keep talking and you feel bad for them from time to time cause that’s how desperate they’ve become. And they know who they are. And so do you.”

The discord between Smith and Beadle dates back to their days working together at ESPN, with the two clashing over Smith’s comments regarding former NFL star Ray Rice’s domestic assault of his wife, which Beadle publicly deemed as tone-deaf and insensitive.
Smith would receive widespread backlash for advising women to avoid provoking men in hopes of avoiding a physical altercation. In addition to issuing a public apology for his remarks, he was suspended from appearing on-air for a week, a strong reprimand many believed was influenced in part by Beadle’s visceral reaction.

The drama between Beadle and Smith bubbled back to the surface earlier this year, when Smith announced his new SiriusXM radio show in Beadle’s time-slot, essentially replacing her on the network.

Beadle’s ire towards Smith was clear during her verbal assault of the 58-year-old former columnist, referencing his new deal with Papaya Gaming, which he teased after being “caught” playing solitaire on his phone while attending an NBA Finals Game this past June.
“ESPN pays him a gazillion dollars to get a lot of stuff wrong and yell,” Beadle said of Smith. “He gets caught playing solitaire during the NBA freaking Finals. You created this monster. He is bigger than you now, and that’s exactly your fault. You let him run rampant all over that company.

“He made you look like fools for handing him a blank check in the first place,” she added. “He doesn’t even give a sh*t about the stuff that he’s paid a gazillion dollars to talk about. Now he’s turning around and turning that into a money-making opportunity. Then the money-making opportunity looks like it’s a fraudulent crap business to begin with.”
Smith has since called out Beadle, as well as former ESPN moderator and host Cari Champion, by name on his Straight Shooter With Stephen A. segment on Tuesday (Nov. 11).

Diddy's Prison Release Date Pushed Back After Alleged Rules Violations

Diddy will be spending even more time in prison after he allegedly broke the rules.
It was reported last week that the 55-year-old music mogul, who was sentenced to four years in prison, was caught drinking homemade alcohol while in jail.
Diddy‘s release date was set for May 8, 2028, but it was just reported that his release date is being pushed back now.

People reports that Diddy‘s release date has been changed to June 4, 2028.
Diddy‘s rep denies that he broke rules.
“There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs,” the rep told People. “He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.”

“This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumors will surface throughout his time there,” the spokesperson added. “We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace.

Tory Lanez's 10-Year Prison Sentence Appeal Denied
Tory Lanez will remain in prison. mThe 33-year-old rapper has been serving time for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot back in 2020, after being sentenced to ten years in 2023.
Tory has since maintained that he’s innocent and has refused to apologize. He filed an appeal to overturn the 10-year sentence, but was denied by the courts.

The rapper claimed there was insufficient proof that he was the shooter and he received an unfair trial. The court’s ruling said there was no reason to overturn the verdict.
“Peterson contends the trial court committed a number of errors,” the appeals court shared, via Billboard. “We find no prejudicial error and, accordingly, affirm Peterson’s conviction.”

Among his arguments in the appeal, Tory said it was unfair for jurors to hear an earlier interview with Megan‘s friend/assistant Kelsey Harris where she blamed him for the shooting, and he also said prosecutors improperly cited an Instagram post where he seemingly said that Kelsey had not shot Megan.

In addition, he also claimed prosecutors “introduced racial bias into the proceedings” when referencing a tattoo of a gun on his chest.
“It was defense counsel who asked — both on direct and on redirect — if [a witness] had ever seen Peterson with a gun,” the appeals court said. “Neither of the prosecutors even mentioned Peterson’s tattoos — much less the tattoo of a firearm — in their closing arguments.”
