#FASHIONFAB: A$AP ROCKY x CARRIE MAE WEEMS x BOTTEGA VENETA

A$AP Rocky’s Ambassador role at Chanel is based on a much closer relationship between the entertainer and Mathieu Blazy than people probably understand.
At Bottega Veneta, Blazy ran this ‘Portraits of Fatherhood’ campaign in June 2024. A$AP Rocky shared a deeply personal film by Carrie Mae Weems focused on the mega talent and his sons, chillin at home.

#RHOA: Porsha Williams’ Ex Simon Guobadia Seemingly Reflects On Divorce Drama & Deportation As He Calls 2024 & 2025 The Most Challenging Years’ Of His Life
Simon Guobadia is hoping for a peaceful 2026. The Nigerian businessman and ex-husband of #RHOA star #PorshaWilliams recently shared a candid post reflecting on the past two years and the challenges he faced. “2024 and 2025 were without question the most challenging years of my life. I weathered multiple storms—any one of which could have easily been the end of me. They were unexpected, painful, and traumatic, all at the same time,” Simon wrote.

While he didn’t go into specifics on the challenges faced, some of Simon’s hurdles played out publicly. Porsha filed for divorce in February 2024, and after much back-and-forth, their separation was finalized a little over a year later in June 2025. On top of that, Simon was detained by #ICE last February and was eventually sent back to his home country.

Continuing his post while celebrating the New Year in #Dubai, Simon shared, “My life has taught me this: with every storm comes lessons, wisdom, and ultimately, rebirth. As painful as those moments were, deep down I always knew I was being prepared for something greater.”

#MusicNews: Brandy to Receive Icon Award at 2026 Recording Academy Honors

Brandy will be honored at the fourth annual Recording Academy Honors, hosted by the organization’s Black Music Collective.
The R&B star will receive the Black Music Icon Award at the ceremony on Jan. 29 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, days ahead of the 2026 Grammys.
“So grateful and truly humbled to receive the Recording Academy’s Black Music Icon Award. This honor means more than words—standing on the shoulders of those who paved the way, and celebrating the legacy, resilience, and brilliance of Black music,” said Brandy. “Thank you to the Recording Academy for seeing me, supporting me, and honoring the journey.”

Gospel mainstay Kirk Franklin will also be presented with the award, which recognizes “Black music creators whose artistry, innovation and service have shaped the industry and inspired generations around the world.”
It’s worth noting that Franklin was originally set to be honored at the 2025 ceremony prior to the Recording Academy’s decision to condense Grammy Week programming in the wake of the Los Angeles wildfire response.

Legendary producer Pharrell Williams will receive the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award for his musical achievements, entrepreneurial innovation, philanthropic efforts and “far-reaching cultural influence worldwide.”
“Pharrell, Brandy and Kirk are true visionaries and masters of their craft,” said Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy. “Each has built a legacy that transcends genre, defies convention and shapes culture. Their artistry continues to inspire generations of artists around the world.”

Mason added, “I’m thrilled to join the Black Music Collective in honoring three of music’s brightest stars in January and celebrating their immeasurable contributions to the industry.”
Established in 2020, the Black Music Collective is a group of prominent Black music creators and professionals who share the common goal of amplifying Black voices within the Academy and the music community.
“The Black Music Collective is necessary to help drive the Recording Academy into a new era. Creating an open space for Black music creators can only benefit our membership as a whole,” said Mason, who was then the interim CEO of the Academy.

Past honorees at the Recording Academy Honors include Alicia Keys, Dr. Dre, JAY-Z, John Legend, Lenny Kravitz, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, and Sylvia Rhone.
In other Brandy news, the Vocal Bible will release her first memoir, Phases, on March 31. Last fall, she co-headlined The Boy Is Mine Tour with Monica.

#HipHopNews: Governors Ball 2026: A$AP Rocky, Baby Keem, Mariah The Scientist, And More To Perform
Governors Ball 2026 returns to NYC with a genre-spanning lineup of global stars.
The festival features a mix of Hip Hop, K-pop, R&B, and indie acts across three days.
Tickets go on sale Thursday (Jan. 8), with both single-day and weekend passes available.

Festival season is creeping up, and on Tuesday (Jan. 6), Governors Ball shared its stacked 2026 lineup. A$AP Rocky, Baby Keem, Kali Uchis, and others are set to headline, with many more names filling out the three-day event.

Returning to Flushing Meadows Corona Park from June 5 to June 7, the fΓͺte will begin with Lorde and Keem as night one’s headliners. Notably, the “family ties” rapper hasn’t released an album since 2021’s The Melodic Blue, so it’ll be exciting to see whether he performs any new material. Before they hit the stage, attendees can catch Mariah the Scientist, KATSEYE, and 2hollis live.

Saturday’s headliners are Stray Kids and festival mainstay Kali Uchis. Although there aren’t any rap acts on that day’s bill, “Love Me Not” singer Ravyn Lenae, Blood Orange, and flowerovlove should all be well worth catching live.

Last but definitely not least, Rocky and JENNIE will close out Governors Ball. Dominic Fike, Clipse, Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist, Khamari, Lexa Gates, and Rachel Chinouriri round out Sunday’s lineup, which is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated days.
The presale opens Thursday (Jan. 8) at 10 a.m. ET, with general tickets going live an hour later at 11 a.m. ET. As usual, fans can choose between three-day passes and single-day tickets. While we wait, check out the full flyer below.

It’ll be interesting to see what Rocky brings to Governors Ball 2026, especially with his long-awaited fourth album, Don’t Be Dumb, arriving later this month. On Monday (Jan. 5), the Harlem rapper released the project’s first confirmed single, “Punk Rocky,” which leans into a more punk direction (as hinted at in the title).
There’s also the possibility of Mariah joining Uchis during her set — or the other way around — to perform their collaborations “Pretty Promises,” and “Is It a Crime.” However it plays out, the 2026 lineup already looks like one of the more promising ones in recent years.

Christian Keyes Accuses Tyler Perry Of Trying To Steal ‘All The Queen’s Men’ And Make It ‘Weird’

Actor Christian Keyes is calling out Tyler Perry and accusing him of trying to steal his creative credit on the BET+ series "All the Queen's Men."
Actor Christian Keyes is calling out BET and Tyler Perry over their handling of his original series, All the Queen’s Men, which he claims Perry tried to “steal my creative credit.”

As the BET+ series approaches its fifth and final season, Keyes took to Instagram to share his true feelings about the show’s conclusion and the behind-the-scenes conflicts with the billionaire media mogul.
“I’m not mad about not being there no more. Because, I mean, the studio tried to steal my creative credit,” Keyes said in a video captured by The Shade Room.

Noting a recent advertisement he saw the network make for the show, Keyes accused BET of trying to “post my show like that’s y’all show.”
Keyes originally created All the Queen’s Men based on his book Ladies Night, but says the BET+ drama took a sharp, uncomfortable turn under Tyler Perry and Tyler Perry Studios, with Perry allegedly trying to strip him of creative control.
“It’s you putting the show out there, but you’re also the same studio, Tyler Perry Studios, that removed my creative credit,” Keyes said. “And I had to call a union to have them make you, force TPS to put it back on there.”

Keyes says that after losing full creative control, the series began to feel unfamiliar. His original vision was a gritty, grounded drama exploring power, relationships, and survival within a male strip club empire. By seasons two and three, however, he claims Perry steered the storytelling toward shock value over substance, introducing plotlines he described as “weird” and unnecessary.
“And season two and season three is when All the Queen’s Men got weird, and dudes started getting r-ped with dildos and all that weird sh-t,” Keyes quipped. “Nobody wants to see that sh-t. Put that on your show.”

After having to cede control of the show he created, Keyes called Perry’s leadership “corny,” accusing him of trying to take credit for the series.
“Why try to, you got 16, 17 shows. I got one. Let me have credit,” Keyes said. “My contract says I get credit. Why your corny trying to steal my credit? Because you can’t write like me. Yeah, I wrote the book. And I wrote the show. I wrote the pilot.”
As a result, Keyes says he’s “glad” the show is leaving BET+ and plans to continue the series elsewhere, away from Tyler Perry and the network.

“I’m not sad that my show isn’t there anymore. After season five, it won’t be there anymore,” he said. “I won’t have to deal with that shady, corny kind of leadership over there that would dare.”

Rob Reiner's son Nick no longer on suicide watch ahead of arraignment for parents' murders
Nick Reiner has been removed from suicide watch as he remains in custody on two counts of first-degree murder in the killing of his parents, actor-director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner, People magazine reported Monday.
The magazine cited an unnamed source in the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, which operates the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles, where the 32-year-old Reiner is being held without bail ahead of a Wednesday arraignment.

Nick Reiner made his first court appearance in the case on Dec. 17, when he did not enter a plea as he appeared from behind glass in a custody area in the large courtroom.
His arraignment was postponed until Jan. 7 at his attorney's request. He spoke only to say "yes, your honor" to agree to the date.

After the court December hearing, Nick Reiner's attorney, Alan Jackson, called the case "a devastating tragedy that has befallen the Reiner family." He said the proceedings will be very complex and asked that the circumstances be met "not with a rush to judgment, not with jumping to conclusions."

Jackson declined to answer shouted questions from dozens of reporters surrounding him and has not addressed the guilt or innocence of his client.
Nick Reiner was charged with killing Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Singer Reiner, 70.
They were killed sometime in the early morning hours of December 14, the district attorney's office said. They were found dead late in the afternoon in their home in Brentwood, authorities said.

Nick Reiner did not resist when he was arrested hours later in the Exposition Park area near USC, about 14 miles from the crime scene, police said.
The two counts of first-degree murder come with special circumstances of multiple murders and an allegation that the defendant used a dangerous weapon, a knife. The additions could mean a greater sentence.

In her opening remarks at the Critics Choice Awards on Monday, comedian Chelsea Handler paid tribute to Rob Reiner.
"Everyone in this room knows that the nicest guy in Hollywood was Rob Reiner," Handler said. "Anyone who ever spent time with Rob Reiner knows that the minute you met him, he felt like an old friend when you were in a conversation with him. He was present, he was focused and he was funny, and he would ask you tons of questions, whether you were discussing politics or film or the latest beauty trends."

Paris Jackson’s six-year sobriety reflection is raw and inspiring: “I had to learn to live life on life’s terms”

Paris Jackson is opening up about her journey with sobriety. The young singer, actress, and model shared an inspiring video on her social media, showing the world that recovery is possible, even if it's a difficult road.

Jackson shared the clip over the weekend, showing different moments of her life alongside her pets and loved ones. The clip shows her making music, playing her guitar, hugging some friends, speaking to the camera, and more, all set to the song "To Build a Home," by The Cinematic Orchestra.
In the clip, Jackson is seen living through different moments, whether alone or with others. She included a recent trip to Sedona, which she documented on social media and took with some friends and her adorable dog.

"getting sober ain’t always the indication that life is perfect. a few years in it all got very very hard. for what felt like an eternity. and i didn’t have the same survival skills i was used to having to cope. i had to learn to live life on life’s terms," Paris wrote.
Jackson made it clear that life was consistently challenging her, yet she remained strong in her sobriety. She offered words of encouragement to people who may be struggling with similar illnesses.

"treatment resistant major depressive disorder is a bitch. so is CPSTD. and OCD. if you’ve got this shit, or anything of the sort, you’re not alone. hang in there and if no one’s told you they love you today, i love you," she concluded.
In past occasions, Jackson has opened up about her addictions and the road to sobriety. On social media, she's shared that she has a pierced septum due to her drug use. “I don’t want to get plastic surgery to fix it because I’m almost six years sober and you have to take pills when you do a surgery that gnarly and I don’t want to f--k with that,” she said.

In October, Jackson was the recipient of the Shining Star Award, an organization devised to help women struggling with addictions, trauma, and all sorts of conditions.

Rihanna Shows Off Entire Backside In Barely Legal Photo Shoot
Rihanna is pushing the Valentine’s Day heat to unbearable levels, posing in barely-there red lingerie that leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination from behind.
One frame catches her turned just enough to flash bare butt cheeks, the fabric riding high and tight, while the rest of the set leans full goddess fantasy. Marble columns, flowing drapes, and warm lighting give it a mythic vibe, but the focus remains on her curves, especially the unapologetic reveal below the waist.

The lingerie cuts sharply across her hips, framing her backside in a way that feels intentional and prominent, as if she wanted that angle to hit hardest.
Her stance pulls everything into view: legs set firm, back arched slightly, the camera catching skin where lingerie usually conceals. It’s a bold move that pushes the campaign beyond romance and into headline territory, because flashing cheeks like that turns a Valentine’s shoot into instant gossip.

Up front, the look stays just as aggressive. The bra lifts and shapes her chest, while the backless design makes the reveal feel complete, front and back, no safe angles anywhere.

Rihanna doesn’t hide behind props or poses, letting the camera sit where it sits and daring anyone to look away. For a Valentine’s Day drop, this isn’t sweet or subtle; it’s raw, confident and built to dominate timelines, with those bare cheeks sealing the deal.

Mary J. Blige Wins Dismissal Of Misa Hylton’s $5 Million Lawsuit
Mary J. Blige won a victory in court with the dismissal of a lawsuit filed against her by Misa Hylton.
In the $5 million lawsuit that Hylton filed in April 2025, she accused Blige of attempting to ‘coerce’ rapper Vado into terminating his management agreement.”
Hylton also alleged that Blige “wanted to sign Vado – with her company, Beautiful Life Productions”, and “sabotaged” her professional relationship with the rapper.
Blige accusded Hylton of harrassing her in July 2025. She also desribed the lawsuit as “frivolous.”

On Tuesday, Judge Phaedra F. Perry-Bond granted a motion to dismiss the case in New York City, according to Billboard.
Perry-Bond said that  Hylton never responded to Blige’s request to dismiss, which led to the case being dropped.
”The court in no way condones parties filing lawsuits claiming millions in damages based on inflammatory accusations, only to have those very same parties abandon their allegations when faced with a motion to dismiss and sanctions,” Perry-Bond wrote.

Perry-Bond did “decline Blige’s request to penalize Hylton for filing the case.” The application can be revived at a later date.
”Plaintiffs and their counsel shall consider this a warning to refrain from engaging in similar patterns of behavior in the future,” she added. “This written warning may serve as weighty evidence on a future application for sanctions if plaintiffs and/or their counsel continue to engage in similar bad faith litigation tactics.”

Nicholas Ramcharitar, Hylton’s attorney, spoke about why his client decided to forego the lawsuit. She received threats after testifying during Diddy’s sex trafficking trial last year. Hylton and Diddy dated in the early ’90s and share a son Justin Combs.
”We do not at any point take lightly the filing of any matter lightly. Especially with the claims set forth in this prior suit,” Ramcharitar said.

Before the lawsuits, Blige and Hylton were friends for almost 40 years. Hylton is credited with curating Blige’s iconic fashion style.

Ego Nwodim Shares Why She Left ‘Saturday Night Live’

Ego Nwodim is opening up about leaving Saturday Night Live. Almost four months after announcing her departure from the iconic show, Nwodim explained her decision at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.
“Here’s the thing: You’re gonna want to leave people wanting more, as opposed to people being tired of you,” Ego exclusively told Live From E!: Critics Choice Awards‘. “That’s my word of advice. You’re gonna want to leave you on a high note. So, it just felt like time.”

“I had accomplished so much there,” she continued. “And I got to be part of such an incredible ensemble. I learned so much. Then, I wanted to take those skills that I learned and cultivated there and see what else I can do.”
Nwodim also spoke about her being nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category for the SNL performances

“The critics, they are not easy,” “Ego said.  is what they do. They said, ‘We respect what you do.’ And I am so honored by that.”
“I’m over the moon,” she continued. “It feels really, really meaningful and special to have my work at SNL recognized. I’m in such great company tonight as well. This is a dream come true.”
Ego was the fifth co-star to announce their departure  from the show ahead of its 51st season.

“The hardest part of a great party is knowing when to say goodnight,” Ego wrote on her Instagram Stories. “But after seven unforgettable seasons, I have decided to leave SNL.”
“I am immensely grateful to Lorne [Michaels] for the opportunity, to my castmates, the writers, and the crew for their brilliance, support, and friendship,” she continued. “Week after week on that stage taught me more than I could have ever imagined, and I will carry those memories, and that laughter, with me always.”

Diddy Faces Payroll Complaints From Behind Bars As Employees Allegedly Go Unpaid
Diddy’s money troubles are spilling beyond his prison walls, with staffers claiming they’re being left unpaid while his team insists everything is running smoothly.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ that his finances are currently being overseen by Tri Star Sports & Entertainment, and that some staffers feel the firm is keeping too tight of a grip on his money. Allegedly, several attorneys handling Diddy’s growing list of civil lawsuits have gone unpaid, along with additional employees — prompting at least one person to quit.

However, Diddy’s rep, Juda Engelmayer, pushed back on the claims, telling TMZ, “People, personnel, and attorneys are all being paid, and no one is leaving.”

When asked if payments were being made on time, Engelmayer added, “Sean Combs controls his own finances. Everyone gets paid for their work once it’s completed and confirmed, after routine review.”
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following his Mann Act convictions.

Kevin Hart signs over rights to his name by signing a partnership with Authentic Brands Group (ABG)

Kevin Hart has taken a significant step in expanding his personal brand by signing a partnership with Authentic Brands Group (ABG), a company known for managing major names like Shaquille O’Neal, David Beckham, and the estate of Muhammad Ali. With children Hendrix and Heaven from his previous marriage, and Kaori and Kenzo with his current wife, Eniko Hart, he has expressed a clear intention to create a lasting legacy that will extend beyond his own career.
Hart described the partnership as an opportunity for acceleration, diversification, and growth. Over the years, he has built businesses and created opportunities across multiple sectors, including film, live comedy, and digital content. The collaboration also aligns with ABG’s broader strategy of partnering with influential leaders in entertainment who can extend their brands across new categories and regions. Hart’s experience in comedy, film, and digital content makes him an ideal partner in pursuing this vision.

This partnership illustrates a growing trend among entertainers to transform personal recognition into sustainable business ventures. Hart’s decision to co-own his namesake brand ensures that he remains invested in its success while shaping how it operates commercially.

Michael B Jordan Weighs In On Netflix & Warner Bros Deal: 'As Long as Care of Film & Cinema Is a Priority'

Michael B Jordan is stressing the importance of film and the theatrical experience!
The 38-year-old actor and director was recently asked about the impending Netflix acquisition of Warner Bros, where his most recent film Sinners was made.

“As long as the care of film and cinema is a priority at the forefront, that’s what I feel is most important right now as an actor, as a director,” he hells THR. “Movies need to be seen on a big screen. That communal experience is what makes Sinners so great, [what makes] One Battle After Another so great, [what makes] Marty Supreme so great. What makes all these movies so great is that you get a chance to go to theater with people and watch it and have a moment to laugh together, to cry together, to cheer together. That’s why I love going to movies, is for those storytelling experiences. That’s the priority. All the other business stuff is a little bit beyond me.”

He also teased his upcoming The Thomas Crown Affair reimagining.
“It’s a big movie. It’s international. It’s sexy. It’s a lot of fun. A lot of twists and turns,” Michael said. “It’s going to have some things that I think audiences won’t be expecting that might be a nice treat for them.”
MBJ serves as writer, director and star of The Thomas Crown Affair, which has already filmed and will be released through Amazon MGM Studios. See what he previously said about the movie!

The Baltimore Ravens Fire Head Coach John Harbaugh After 18 Years
The Baltimore Ravens have parted ways with head coach John Harbaugh, the team announced Tuesday, bringing an end to one of the longest and most successful coaching tenures in franchise history.

Harbaugh took over as head coach in 2008 and led the Ravens for 18 years, compiling a 180-113 regular-season record. During his time in Baltimore, he established the team as a consistent contender and one of the NFL’s most stable organizations.
His tenure was highlighted by a Super Bowl victory during the 2012 season, achieved in just his fifth year as a head coach. Harbaugh also earned AP NFL Coach of the Year honors in 2019 after guiding the Ravens to a 14-2 record and an AFC North title. That division crown was one of six Harbaugh captured during his run in Baltimore.

Under Harbaugh, the Ravens became known for their physical identity, adaptability, and strong locker room culture. He coached multiple roster eras and quarterback transitions while maintaining long term competitiveness.
The decision signals a significant shift for the Ravens as the franchise looks toward a new chapter. The organization has not yet announced plans for an interim coach or a timeline for naming Harbaugh’s replacement.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting Just Voted to Close: What This Means for PBS and NPR

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has voted to shut itself down after Congress rescinded roughly $1.1 billion in federal funding, leaving the organization without the resources needed to continue operating.
CPB was created in 1967 under the Public Broadcasting Act and has long served as the main federal funding channel for public media in the United States. It did not produce shows itself. Instead, it distributed federal dollars and support to more than 1,500 local public radio and television stations across the country.

With the funding cut and no replacement mechanism in place, CPB’s board approved a plan to wind down operations and dissolve the organization.

What CPB Actually Did. CPB’s role was often misunderstood. It was not a network like PBS or NPR.

Instead, CPB:
Distributed federal funding to local PBS and NPR member stations
Helped support local journalism, educational programming, and cultural content
Funded infrastructure for emergency alerts and public safety broadcasting
Provided stability for smaller and rural stations that lacked large donor bases

For many stations, CPB funding covered essential operating costs rather than flashy programming. So what does this mean for viewers and listeners right now?

PBS and NPR Are Not Shutting Down Overnight
PBS and NPR still exist and will continue to produce and distribute national programming. Shows like PBS NewsHour, Nature, All Things Considered, and Morning Edition are not being immediately canceled.

These networks receive funding from:
Individual donations and memberships
Corporate underwriting
Foundations and grants

The loss of CPB does not automatically take national programming off the air.

Local Stations Are the Most Affected
The biggest impact will be felt at the local station level, especially in rural areas and smaller markets.

Without CPB funding, some stations may:
Cut local news reporting and community-focused shows
Reduce staff or production budgets
Limit educational or children’s programming
Shut down entirely if alternative funding cannot be secured

How severe the impact is will vary widely depending on how much each station relied on CPB money.
Programming May Change Over Time
While major national shows are expected to continue, viewers and listeners may notice changes such as:

Fewer locally produced programs
Reduced coverage of local government, schools, and community issues
Less experimental or niche cultural content

These changes are likely to roll out gradually rather than all at once.
Emergency and Community Services Could Be Reduced
Public broadcasting stations often play a key role in:

Weather and disaster alerts
Emergency communications in rural areas
Community information during crises

If stations lose operational funding, maintaining these services may become more difficult in certain regions.
Can Donations Replace the Lost Funding?
Some stations have already seen a spike in donations following news of the funding cuts. Philanthropic organizations have also stepped in to help in the short term.

However, donations alone may not fully replace the stability that federal funding provided, especially for stations serving low-income or sparsely populated areas.
The Bottom Line for Viewers
PBS and NPR are not disappearing immediately
The biggest changes will happen behind the scenes at local stations
Smaller and rural communities are likely to feel the impact first
Programming and services may slowly shrink rather than abruptly vanish

For viewers and listeners, the real question is not whether public media survives, but how local and community-focused it will be without federal support.
