#RHOA: Phaedra Parks Offers Legal Advice to Wendy Osefo Amid Alleged Fraud Issue
Phaedra Parks has some legal advice for 'Real Housewives of Potomac' star Dr. Wendy Osefo's fraud case ... telling TMZ a plea deal might be her best bet.

We caught up with the Phaedra -- a 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' alum -- in NYC on Monday, and she said Wendy needs to think of her kids first and foremost.
ICYMI ... Wendy was arrested on suspicion of fraud in October alongside her husband, Eddie. They're facing a combined 16 charges -- including 7 felonies -- and are expected to be tried separately.

Phaedra thinks they both need to prioritize the well-being of their three children -- Karter, Kruz and Kamrynn -- when weighing their legal options.
The "Traitors" star seems to believe the evidence against Wendy and Eddie is pretty damning, saying ... "Here is the thing. The win for her would be to obviously be exonerated, but the evidence speaks for itself."

Phaedra told us opting for a plea deal could be "in the best interest" of Wendy's kids, adding ... "I think the smartest thing to do is the least amount of time."
She continued ... "At the end of the day, they're both parents. And so, you know, as a parent, your number one interest has to be the care of your children."

Don't forget ... Phaedra was already an established lawyer by the time she joined 'Real Housewives,' so she has the legal chops to back up this advice!

#MusicNews: British Soul Singer Daley Signs Record Deal With SRG/ILS Group

British R&B singer Daley inked a new deal with SRG/ILS Group via his imprint Texx7 Records. He joins a roster that includes Lalah Hathaway, PJ Morton and Tweet.
“Daley is an amazing talent,” said Claude Villani, president and CEO of the SRG/ILS Group. “Those who know, know and those who don’t are about to find out what presence is and what the future can be.”

Daley commented, “From early conversations with Walter Millsap III and Claude at SRG, I felt an instant appreciation and excitement about the music, from people who have a genuine understanding of the craft.

He added, “It’s exciting to partner with a team who see the creative vision and have the energy and expertise to help me elevate it.”
Daley is currently in the studio working on his long-awaited third album. According to a press release, “The project will usher in his next musical chapter, expanding sonically and conceptually over his alternative-R&B / soul roots, with the vocal quality and emotional presence for which he has become known and is so often missing in today’s musical landscape.”

Daley’s upcoming album will follow 2017’s The Spectrum, which includes his Jill Scott-assisted jam “Until The Pain Is Gone.” Speaking on the latter track, Daley told Rated R&B, “It’s dealing with a situation where two people are in love but held back by negative experiences and trying to admit to each other how they feel.”

In the same interview, Daley explained the meaning behind The Spectrum. “I came up with it, from a musical perspective, when I started exploring this album. I was just feeling like I should make an album with a certain sound,” he said. “I was thinking I should do this kind of dark, spacey R&B thing. But when I started writing, it dawned on me that it doesn’t encompass everything that I am and what I do in my live shows.”

He continued, “I would be so limited by doing that, so I started to feel like it needed to be a range of things: the dark stuff, the feel-good R&B songs, and something that would translate really well live. In my head, the word ‘spectrum’ kept popping up in all different areas, so it’s my musical spectrum. It’s a range of what I do.”

In 2014, Daley released his debut album, Days & Nights, via Republic Records. The project included his signature song “Alone Together” featuring Marsha Ambrosius.

#HipHopNews: Chance The Rapper Wins Out Over Ex-Manager In Lawsuit
Chance The Rapper emerged victorious in a legal battle with his former manager, bringing a close to a contested chapter in his career.
Last Friday (March 20), a jury delivered a decision that stated that Chance The Rapper’s former friend and manager, Pat Corcoran, failed to prove that he was owed $3.8 million in unpaid royalties and commissions he sought from the artist. The ruling took place in Cook County, Illinois.

The jury also ruled in favor of a countersuit by Chance The Rapper, also known as Chancellor Bennett. The countersuit was initially for $1 million, and was combined with Corcoran’s lawsuit for the trial to proceed. Jurors decided that Corcoran would instead pay $35 and that the former manager would turn over the ChanceRaps.com internet domain, which was used to sell merchandise.

The trial covered the breadth of the relationship between the popular Chicago rapper and his manager, which lasted from 2012 to 2020 and saw the two be hailed as a shining example of a successful independent artist and manager relationship. “Chance wanted to be famous and Pat wanted to help,” Corcoran’s lawyer Robert Sweeney said during the trial. “Pat believed in the mission and Pat was going to do whatever it took to make Chance famous.”

Corcoran claimed that there was an agreement between him and Chance The Rapper that entitled him to 15% of the artist’s net profits from any project that he worked on, no matter when the money was paid out and even if he was to be fired. Chance’s legal team argued that there was no written contract. The two came together and had a verbal agreement and handshake deal in 2013, according to the Chiccgo Sun-Times.

Precious Jacobs-Perry, Chance The Rapper’s lead attorney, also stated that Corcoran was attempting to get kickbacks, and mishandled business partnerships with merchandise companies. “Chance sued Pat on principle after learning about the things Pat was doing behind his back,” she said during the trial.

“I claim victory in the name of the Lord,” Chance The Rapper said after the verdict. “We respect the jury’s decision, but the message to music managers is clear: Get it in writing,” said Jay Scharkey, another of Corcoran’s lawyers. “The jury award of $35 speaks to how seriously the jury viewed Chance’s case.”

Nia Long Files For Protective Order Against Alleged Stalker Claiming Romantic Relationship

Nia Long is seeking a protective order against a woman who has repeatedly shown up at her Los Angeles home claiming to be in a romantic relationship with her.
The actress filed for a temporary restraining order on March 23 against a woman identified as Carrie McDonald, TMZ reports. The filing came just days after she was arrested on March 21 for showing up at Long’s home and ringing the doorbell.

It’s not a new issue, as Long’s filing states the woman has allegedly been stalking her for more than two years. According to the documents, Long says she doesn’t know her, but claims the woman has sent unwanted cards, flowers, and gifts, and has shown up at her home on multiple occasions.
Long said the woman previously showed up at her home in the middle of the night in 2024, demanding she open the door. “The Best Man” actress said police issued a “strong warning” at the time and arrested the woman after a second incident.

She is now seeking court-ordered protection for herself, her two children, and her mother, though a judge denied the temporary restraining order pending an April hearing.
The restraining order request comes as Long prepares for her next major role, portraying Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, in Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming biopic “Michael.” Speaking recently, she said she drew on her own experience as a mother to shape the role, describing the character as rooted in love and grace.

“Leaning into grace and love. And that’s what a parent and mother does,” Long said.
The “Friday” actress is a mom to two sons: Massai Zhivago Dorsey II, born in 2000, and Kez Sunday Udoka, born in 2011. She encourages moviegoers to “bring the family” when going to the new biopic, as it’s one everyone will enjoy.

Boris Kodjoe reveals telling Nicole Ari Parker he’d marry her, while she was still engaged to another man
From co-workers to soulmates, Kodjoe reveals how he knew his now wife of 20-plus years was the one.
Boris Kodjoe had an inkling about Nicole Ari Parker, long before he ever popped the question.
During a chat with Kenny Burns for “The Kenny Burns Show,” the 53-year-old actor detailed how he and Parker went from being co-workers on the set of Showtime’s “Soul Food” to a longstanding couple who’ve now been married for over 20 years.

“We met at the table read on the first episode, and she gave me a hug. And she was super sweet, great heart. Right away, I knew that she was going to be in my life. I didn’t know in what capacity,” Kodjoe began around the 14:30-minute mark. “This was my first job. She helped me break down the script. She helped me translate the script, ’cause at the time I still was going back and forth. She taught me everything about the different colloquialisms and how to stress certain words because it’s a different culture.”

On set, Kodjoe played Damon to Parker’s Teri, ultimately landing the role after using one of his modeling photos as an impromptu headshot. Now, Damon was not a character in the 1997 film starring Vanessa Williams, Vivica A. Fox and Nia Long, he soon became a beloved member of the “Soul Food” universe due to his new relationship with Teri. The chemistry between Parker and Kodjoe was evident, especially given that it was one of Kodjoe’s earliest roles.

What initially began as a three-episode arc between the two characters evolved into a four-season romance. Kodjoe left the show after season four but returned as a recurring character in the show’s fifth and final season.
“We were friends and we were working together. Clearly, it was chemistry and everybody realized and noticed that, even the crew,” Kodjoe reflected before revealing the big joker.

“At the end of the first season, I think it was. I went to her trailer one day and I said, ‘Hey, I just want to let you know that one day we’re going to be married with two kids.’ And I closed the door.”
Now, Parker was already in a relationship with fellow actor Joseph Falasca. The pair eloped in 2001 and divorced later that year, but the mere notion that Kodjoe would shoot his shot in that manner upset her. And Kodjoe knew it.

“She was mad. She was mad for two weeks. Wouldn’t talk to me because she thought it was so disrespectful,” Kodjoe told Burns. “She was engaged at the time… Listen, when a man knows, a man knows. I just knew. I felt it. I knew it. She was going to be my wife. I knew it. And it was nothing going on besides us working together.”

Bad Bunny Beats Copyright Claim, Demands Accuser Cough Up $465K In Fees

Bad Bunny’s crushing copyright victory just got more expensive for emPawa Africa, who now faces a $465K legal bill.
Bad Bunny just won a major legal victory and now he’s making sure the other side pays for it.
The Puerto Rican superstar is demanding that emPawa Africa cover his $465,612 legal bill after he crushed a copyright lawsuit over “Enséñame a Bailar” from his 2022 album Un Verano Sin Ti.

According to Rolling Stone, Bad Bunny’s legal team filed the motion on March 23, arguing that the case was “meritless from the beginning.”
Nigerian producer Dera (Ezeani Chidera Godfrey) and emPawa Africa claimed that “Enséñame a Bailar” used an uncleared sample from a 2019 track, “Empty My Pocket,” which Dera produced for Joeboy.

They wanted $25 million in damages. Bad Bunny’s team maintained they’d properly licensed the sample from Lakizo Entertainment, which had distributed the original track.
The whole thing fell apart when Dera’s lawyers quit in January, citing “irreparable differences” over legal strategy.
After Dera failed to show up for a February 5 discovery hearing and missed a March 6 deadline to keep the case alive, Judge Otis D. Wright II dismissed the lawsuit on March 9 with prejudice, meaning it can’t be refiled.

Bad Bunny’s attorneys argued that emPawa had been “aggressively litigating” a case they knew was weak, hoping Bad Bunny’s wealth and desire to avoid bad publicity would force him to settle.

Instead, the label’s own counsel abandoned ship.
Bunny’s legal team, led by attorney Karen L. Stetson and a crew from Gray Robinson, racked up hundreds of billable hours at rates between $555 and $680 per hour.
This legal strategy mirrors what other artists have done after winning copyright cases.

Mariah Carey recently demanded $1 million from her accuser over “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” and Nelly sought $78,000 after beating a lawsuit over Country Grammar.

Jay-Z Adds 3rd Show To Yankee Stadium – EXTRA INNINGS July 12
Jay-Z announces a third Yankee Stadium show after overwhelming demand for his anniversary celebrations.
Jay-Z just announced a third Yankee Stadium show after the first two sold out in minutes, proving the demand for his anniversary celebration run is absolutely unstoppable.

The newly announced “EXTRA INNINGS” performance lands on Sunday, July 12, following JAY-Z 30 on July 10 and JAY-Z 25 on July 11, which honored Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint, respectively.
Tickets go on sale today at 1:00 P.M. via LiveNation.com, and honestly, if the first two shows are any indication, you’d better be ready when that clock hits.

What makes this moment even more significant is that Jay-Z already holds the record for the most sold-out performances at Yankee Stadium.
In a rare GQ interview, Jay-Z reflected on how not getting a record deal was actually the greatest blessing of his career, forcing him to build Reasonable Doubt from the ground up with nothing but street-level hustle and belief in himself.

“We sold 43,000 records,” he explained, but the real victory was what happened on the streets. “On the streets we were platinum. Anywhere you was going to go, you was going to hear Reasonable Doubt.“
Jay-Z credits the neighborhood itself for teaching him that you’ve got to do things on your own terms, and that mentality powered him through every rejection from every label that didn’t see what he was building.

According to the GQ cover story, he went to every single label looking for a deal, but each rejection only strengthened his conviction that he was right and they were wrong.
The fact that he’s now celebrating 30 years since that independent release with three sold-out stadium shows proves he was onto something from day one.

Yung Miami Defends Writing Letter To Judge In Support Of Diddy, Says He’s A ‘Changed Man’

YungMiami is speaking out about the backlash she faced after submitting a character letter for Sean “Diddy” Combs ahead of his sentencing.

In a newly aired interview with Charlamagne Tha God, she addressed the criticism for supporting Diddy during the height of his racketeering and s3x trafficking trial, revealing it cost her several opportunities. “I think I wrote a letter for a changed man,” she said. “I’m not gonna justify some bullsh*t or support some bullsh*t… I felt like the person that I met was changed. It was a different experience, so that’s why I wrote the letter.”

In that letter, submitted after footage surfaced of Diddy abusing Cassie Ventura, Miami described him as “loving, genuine, supportive, and always encouraging,” crediting him with helping her grow personally and professionally. Echoing that sentiment in the interview, she added, “I can’t speak to nothing that I don’t know of… I can only speak to the person that I met,” noting he “treated me like a queen” and made her believe in herself. She also admitted her loyalty came at a cost, saying she lost money, deals, and relationships.

Diddy was ultimately found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in pro$titution and sentenced to four years and two months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.

Eric Benét Calls Out Celebrities Who Ignore Fans: ‘Just Say Hello’

Eric Benet is calling out celebrity behavior in real time, zeroing in on what he sees as a lack of respect for the very people who made that fame possible.
In a March 24 Instagram Reel, the R&B singer didn’t mince words about public figures who brush off supporters in everyday encounters. “One of my biggest pet peeves… are those public figures or celebrities who lack the grace to just take a picture with your fan,” Benet said, adding that even a small acknowledgment can go a long way. “Or just say hello. Or just acknowledge them if they see you on the street.”

Benet framed the issue as bigger than a quick interaction, pointing to the relationship between artists and their audience. “If you are so inconvenienced by somebody acknowledging you… somebody who adores you, somebody who has patronized your business,” he said, before criticizing those who dismiss fans outright. “I can’t stand y’all… that shame people who adore you.”

The comments arrive as conversations around celebrity accessibility and accountability continue to pick up online. A recent situation involving singer Chappell Roan has added fuel to that discussion.

Catherine Harding, who is married to Brazilian soccer player Jorginho, shared her account of a hotel encounter in São Paulo involving her 11-year-old daughter. According to Harding, her daughter briefly tried to confirm Roan’s presence but did not approach or interact.

“She didn’t have her phone, she didn’t try to take a picture… she literally didn’t do anything,” Harding said in a March 22 Instagram video.
She alleged that a man believed to be associated with Roan approached them in a “very aggressive tone,” accusing the child of being disrespectful and threatening to escalate the situation.

Roan later addressed the incident, denying any involvement. “I did not ask the security guard to go up and talk to this mother and child. I did not,” she wrote, adding that she “didn’t even see a woman and a child.” She also acknowledged the situation shouldn’t have escalated, noting it was “unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions.”

While Benet did not name anyone in his video, his broader point centered on the responsibility that comes with visibility. “They’ve allowed you to have this global access. They’ve allowed you to have this wealth,” he said, emphasizing the role fans play in an artist’s success. “Less than half of a percent of the world is able to experience [that].”
He closed with a reminder of how small those fan interactions really are in the grand scheme. “All they want is for you to just see them for two seconds,” Benet said.

Pinky Cole Says They Locked Her Out The House After Filing Bankruptcy
New developments have surfaced in Pinky Cole’s bankruptcy case, and things are getting more serious. Her home, seized after filing bankruptcy, is now raising new legal questions about what creditors can and cannot do.

According to TMZ, the latest claims come directly from court filings tied to her ongoing case. While she previously filed for Chapter 11 protection, this new twist is unfolding just after a week of videos of Pinky educating her audience about Chapter 11 bankruptcy in a fun and relatable way.

According to court filings, Pinky Cole says Guardian Asset Management seized her home in Loganville, Georgia. The property is described as a six-bedroom, four-bathroom house with more than 2,800 square feet. She claims a notice was placed on the home, and the locks were changed. Because of that, she says she no longer has access to the property.

However, this move could become a legal problem. Filing for bankruptcy usually triggers an automatic stay, which is meant to stop creditors from taking action like this. Her legal team argues that protection should have blocked any attempt to take the home. If the court agrees, then the creditor could face penalties for violating bankruptcy rules.

At the same time, the financial pressure is building. Cole says she planned to rent the home out and already had a tenant set to move in on April 1. Because she lost access, that rental income is now gone. Court documents also show she is dealing with millions in debt, while most household income is reportedly tied to her husband.

Meanwhile, Pinky Cole has been speaking publicly about what she is going through. She has shared emotional updates on Instagram, explaining that she is staying focused and working through the situation. While legal filings show one side, her videos show the personal impact behind the headlines. So the story continues to unfold both in court and online.

Looking ahead, the creditor has not yet formally responded in court. The bankruptcy court will likely decide whether the seizure violated the automatic stay. If it did, she could regain access and possibly seek damages. If not, the creditor may keep control of the property.

Suge Knight to release 'candid and unapologetic' memoir

Suge Knight is to give an "unflinching" look at his life and career with a new memoir.
On Tuesday, a representative from Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books imprint announced that the former record mogul, a divisive figure in the hip-hop community, had written a book titled Your Pain Is My Joy.

Suge, real name Marion Hugh Knight Jr., was a key figure in the rise of gangsta rap in the 1990s, having served as co-founder of Death Row Records.

The label was known for releasing Dr. Dre's debut album, The Chronic, in 1992, and Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle, the following year.
"Back when the streets and the music business mixed freely, Suge Knight brought rap icons such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac Shakur to global superstardom with the creation of his label Death Row Records," a synopsis reads. "Living by the rules of the streets, where might makes right and only the strong survive, Suge made his artists household names the same way he fought his way out of Compton, Los Angeles: By overpowering anyone who got in his way."

In addition to chronicling his rise to fame, Knight also indicated he would offer up some stories about hip-hop stars such as Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Tupac Shakur, with whom he was with on the night that the Dear Mama rapper was shot and killed at the age of 25 in a drive-by shooting in Nevada in 1996.

"Everyone in the rap game has a story about Suge Knight. Now, for the first time, Suge is telling his side," the summary adds. "From his legendary encounter with Vanilla Ice to blow-out brawls with P. Diddy and the night when he and Tupac got shot in Vegas, Suge doesn't shy away from the controversy that has followed him his entire life. He pulls no punches, asks for no forgiveness, and explains exactly how he battled his way to the top."

Knight, 60, is currently in prison. He was given a 28-year sentence after he pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter for a fatal hit-and-run in 2015. Your Pain Is My Joy is set to be released on 4 August 2026.
