Porsha Williams revealed she underwent an emergency hysterectomy earlier this year that "saved my life."
The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star wrote in a Glamour essay published Friday that her doctor discovered over 15 large fibroids in her uterus during a fertility appointment about possibly freezing her eggs.
She also learned she had endometriosis and "another diagnosis involving the uterine lining."

Williams, 45, said she was "stunned" and asked if she could avoid getting her uterus surgically removed, but her doctor insisted she needed a "partial" hysterectomy where she could keep her ovaries.
But during her surgery in May, Williams said doctors found 21 fibroids total, the largest one being "the size of a cantaloupe."
"I woke up after the surgery and thought, 'A part of me is gone,'" the Bravo star wrote. "Fibroids aren't something we usually talk about as women, and neither are hysterectomies. There's a stigma to it, as if you're somehow less of a woman without your uterus."
Williams, who has a 7-year-old daughter, Pilar, with ex Dennis McKinley, said that she immediately began mourning her fertility after the procedure.
"I was 45 and headed toward perimenopause, and I didn't want anything throwing my hormones off," she wrote. "On top of it all was the pain of knowing I'd never carry another child, and that I couldn't even have eggs retrieved for a surrogate. That door had officially closed."
Williams shared that while she "didn't have a choice about the hysterectomy," the surgery has vastly improved her quality of life.
"I hadn't realized the fibroids were behind my migraines, my low iron levels, or how stressed my body had been just from everyday life," she said. "I'd also lost my ability to have sex, since the fibroids had grown large enough to close off more than 60% of my birth canal, and put my bladder at risk from their sheer weight."
Later in her essay, Williams explained that now she's "more present and grateful" for her daughter, whom she called "a true miracle."
She added, "I've always called her my lifesaver, since she gave me my purpose, and now that feels even more true. I really was chosen to be her mom."
During her interview with CBS Mornings on Friday, the "Traitors" alum said she's sharing her story to encourage other women to advocate for their health.
"We have to stop diagnosing ourselves. There are so many different things when it comes to a woman that you need to get checked, and we need to learn to advocate for ourselves," she told host Gayle King.
"If I saw somebody like me sitting here with you talking about fibroids, it would have clicked to ask for it. I had to ask my doctor to check for fibroids after something was wrong."
Before welcoming her daughter in 2019, Williams revealed she suffered a miscarriage six years earlier.
The reality star split from McKinley in 2020, and went on to get married to Simon Guobadia in 2022. They got divorced three years later.
Williams has been dating Patrice "Sway" McKinney since last year.

That is a pretty significant declaration from Cardi, considering the marathon between 2018’s Invasion of Privacy and 2025’s Am I the Drama? Fans spent years asking when album number two was coming. Now Cardi sounds determined to make album number three a much quicker affair.
Speaking backstage with “The Breakfast Club” at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Cardi revealed that she plans to disappear into recording mode later this year.
Short, sweet and probably music to the ears of the Bardi Gang. Cardi admitted she is still in the embryonic stages of the project. She has recorded two songs she likes, but acknowledged she has a “long way to go.” Still, she seems unusually certain about the timetable and says the album is coming in 2027.
“I’m not even playing around,” Cardi said. “I just got this confidence.”
And maybe that confidence is the real story.
Cardi has already returned to the rhythm of being a working recording artist. After “Am I the Drama?” arrived last September, she hit the road for the 35 date Little Miss Drama Tour from February through April. Then came “AH HA” in July, which climbed to No. 3 on Billboard’s US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
She has also been navigating motherhood after welcoming her fourth child, so Cardi certainly has plenty happening outside the booth.

Cindy Crawford's son Presley Gerber dies at 27.
Presley Gerber, a model and the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died Sunday. He was 27.
Gerber died at a rehabilitation facility, according to online records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. A cause of death was not listed.
The medical examiner's office told People magazine that an autopsy was scheduled for Monday, adding that the investigation into his death is ongoing.
A representative for the family said that "the family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."
Gerber was the older brother of model and actor Kaia Gerber. He was signed by IMG Models at age 15 and modeled for brands including Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren.
He had previously spoken about his mental health and experiences with addiction. In 2018, he was arrested on a charge of DUI and sentenced to three years' probation.
In 2020, Gerber had the word "misunderstood" tattooed on his right cheek.
"It says misunderstood, because that's how I felt my entire life," he said in a livestreamed Instagram video. The tattoo appeared to have been removed the following year.
"Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that's all I need to do," he told the Studio 22 podcast in 2023.
He added: "[Mental health] is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It's a 24/7 job, and there's so much to it. That's really what I want to do: help people. Whether you're depressed, you're struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean, it could be anything, and there's no judgment."
The model is survived by his parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, and his sister, Kaia.
In an Instagram video posted in December 2025, Gerber said he wanted clearer guidance from his doctors. "Every psychiatrist I've had, and I've had 15, are just like, 'Well, here's 20 medications and take this if you feel like this,'" he said. "And I'm like, 'No, don't give me that much leeway.' I need some direction."
In the same video, he said he had stopped drinking. "That is no longer serving me," he said.
In one of his final Instagram posts, shared in March, Gerber posted footage from Mexico taken before undergoing what he called an "ibogaine flood dose." Ibogaine, a psychoactive drug derived from the root of an African shrub, is not approved for medical use in the U.S. He wrote, "I faced what I had been running from, and somewhere in all of it, I started finding my way back to myself."
In an interview with Vogue published last month, Kaia reflected on her brother's history with addiction. She said, "When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone. I think that's also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing."
Gerber's family has yet to comment beyond their representative's statement requesting privacy.

Steve Harvey opens up about why his shows were cancelled on NBC. Appearing on the latest episode of Vault Empowers Talks with his daughter Brandi, Harvey addressed what went down.
“Here’s what really happened. When they came to me with Celebrity Family Feud, I said, ‘Well, man, let’s just go to NBC.’ Because NBC, I got Little Big Shots over here, let’s give it to them first. So the president at that time, he said, ‘No, we don’t want that. That will never work.’ Okay cool, went over to ABC, and ABC bought it.
“So they [ABC] put us on Sunday night. Well, that Sunday night started crushing NBC’s Sunday night lineup,” Harvey explained. “So Paul Telegdy [former Chairman of NBC Entertainment] came back to me and said, ‘Hey man, we made a mistake. Can you switch this show from ABC to NBC?’ I said, ‘No man, that ain’t right.’ I said, ‘They believed in it, and gave me a crack. I’m gonna stay with them.’ He said, ‘We’ll pay you whatever you’re making.’ I said, ‘No.’ And that moment right there, I saw in his eyes, he hated me. That white man could not believe I told him no.”
Harvey noted that the cancellation notices arrived shortly after he noticed an unusual silence from NBC—getting neither a birthday present nor a Christmas gift from the network.
“In May they made the announcement, and he said out of his mouth, ‘I’ll show him. I’ll take his whole TV career,” Harvey said. “So he cancelled the talk show and Little Big Shots.”
According to Eur Web, a major 2017 restructuring of Steve gave Harvey greater creative control while stripping NBCUniversal of its ownership stake. This move paved the way for NBC-owned stations to replace the talk show with The Kelly Clarkson Show in 2019.
This isn’t the first time Telegdy has been accused of racial discrimination. In June 2020, Gabrielle Union filed a discrimination and harassment complaint against NBCUniversal and America’s Got Talent producers. She accused Paul Telegdy of trying to intimidate and silence her after she reported a toxic, racist work environment on the show.

According to the Final Call, Sister Betsy Jean was honored as a “first-generation farmer” by the Nation of Islam’s Ministry of Agriculture on Feb. 19, 2016 during the Nation’s annual Savior’s Day gathering and celebrations.

Over the past 14 months, her work on the farm in New Buffalo, Mich., her encouragement of today’s youth to take up the challenge of agriculture and farming, as well as her very successful organizing of the Nation of Islam’s first “Michigan Farm-Agriculture Workshop” in 2015, led to being awarded the prestigious honor.
Sis. Betsy Jean answered the invitation from Muhammad Farms Director Dr. Ridgely Muhammad to attend and speak to the gathering but was not told of her award. She learned of it approximately 10 minutes before her talk to the more than 150 in attendance.
“I was so impressed this past year when I came to the Minister’s farm for the agricultural-educational program that Sis. Betsy Jean Farrakhan set up. I was impressed not only by the quality of the information, but with the spirit she generated in the young people and that came,” reflected Dr. Muhammad. “It takes certain people to inspire our people to do certain things and Sis. Betsy Jean has proven that she has that ability,” he said.
Sister Betsy Jean said at the time, “As my father travels, he is offered hundreds of thousands of acres from many countries. And we have to be in position of obtaining the knowledge and then actually go out and teach others and then acquire the land that they are offering. I am the first generation of farmers in my family along with my illustrious husband Brother Maurice.”
“I thank Allah for the opportunity and for my father showing the way. I took up farming and absolutely fell in love with it. No day finds me tired (of farming). I might be tired at the end of the day from working hard, but the concept and idea of farming I am never tired from,” she said.
Sister Betsy Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, who died on June 27, 2026.

In an extremely rare show of solidarity, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News and Fox News are joining together in support of CNN amid their ban from Donald Trump‘s White House. CNN was supposed to have duties at the White House today, but were barred from doing so.
The major networks released a joint statement today “The public has a vital interest in receiving accurate, independent information about its government. No administration should restrict a news organization because it objects to its reporting,” the five networks said together in a joint statement issued today (September 21).
As a result of Trump‘s decision to ban CNN, the networks will now suspend pool coverage entirely.

Kimora Lee Simmons is looking back at the beginning of her relationship with Russell Simmons and revealing how Tyra Banks tried to intervene.
The 51-year-old model and fashion designer opens up about her former marriage in the new Lifetime documentary Kimora Lee: On Her Own, which premieres Sunday night (September 20).
In a new interview with People, Kimora recalled meeting Russell when she was just 16 years old and he was 18 years older than her.
She also revealed that Tyra, who was her friend at the time, tried to keep her away from him.
Kimora said Russell began showing up at her fashion shows and would later come backstage. He also started sending her large flower arrangements.
According to Kimora, Tyra apparently became concerned and tried to intervene.
“I remember Tyra kept me in her apartment through the weekend,” Kimora recalled in the documentary, claiming that Tyra was “trying to avoid me going home and checking my voicemail.”
Looking back now, Kimora believes Tyra was trying to look out for her, though she didn’t see it that way at the time.
“She was trying to protect me,” she told the outlet.
Kimora explained that she initially thought Tyra was getting in the way and questioned what her friend knew about the situation.
“I felt a little bit like she was hating for sure, just because she was getting in my way and getting on my nerves,” she admitted.
Tyra and Kimora remained close enough that Tyra later served as a bridesmaid when Kimora married Russell in 1998. Kimora recently revealed that she and Tyra have not spoken in years.
Elsewhere in the interview, Kimora alleged that her relationship with Russell was verbally abusive.
She said that she did not recognize some of the behavior as abusive until later in life.

Clay Aiken is reliving “the most catastrophic week” of his life.Back in November 2006, the 47-year-old American Idol alum appeared as a guest host on Live With Regis and Kelly. During the episode, Clay created an awkward moment when he playfully put his hand over Kelly Ripa‘s mouth.
“I don’t know where that hand’s been, honey,” Kelly quipped.
While appearing on Page Six Radio on Thursday (September 17), Clay looked back at the moment, and recalled how Rosie O’Donnell inadvertently outed him when trying to defend him.
“I didn’t realize that Rosie O’Donnell defended you so fiercely,” host Evan Real said, referring to the subsequent segment on The View during which Rosie slammed Kelly‘s comment as “homophobic.” Moments after, Kelly called into the show and vehemently denied Rosie‘s criticism.
“You say defended, I say outed,” Clay clarified.
After Evan apologized for not knowing the full context, Clay admitted, “I died inside a lot that week.”
Clay went on to recall that he was asleep in bed in Los Angeles the morning the debate between Rosie and Kelly went down.
His longtime close friend Jaymes Foster, with whom Clay father a son in 2008, came into the bedroom to inform him of what happened.
“‘You need to wake up because Rosie just outed you on The View,’” he recalled her saying. “I woke up. I was freaked out.”
Deep down, Clay knows that Rosie, who he is still friends with, meant no harm by accidental slip.
“I don’t have any ill feelings against Rosie. She did mean well,” he acknowledged. “Her words were, I think, chosen in the heat of like, ‘Why the hell is this girl on live TV with me right now?’ And so she was caught off guard.”

Ross Mathews calls Part 2 of the 90 Day: The Last Resort Tell-All a “fireworks show,” promising candid answers about marriages that unraveled after filming.

Ross Mathews has already hosted both parts of the 90 Day: The Last Resort Tell-All, and his description of Part 2 is pretty simple: "a fireworks show." Considering this season ended with broken marriages, divorce drama, one major no-show, and another cast member reportedly moving on to The Single Life, that may be underselling it.
Mathews spilled some behind-the-scenes tea on the Reality Gays podcast, revealing that several couples arrived at the reunion in drastically different places than where viewers left them. "It's shocking to find where some people are—and where they're not," he said.
And unlike his previous 90 Day hosting gig, Mathews said this reunion carried "an extra responsibility" because these weren't casual relationships. "It's marriages. And children," he said.
Patrick Mendes and Thaís Ramone are among the biggest examples. Their emotional recommitment ceremony had Mathews crying, only for their marriage to subsequently collapse amid divorce proceedings and troubling headlines surrounding their relationship.
Mathews said ignoring that off-camera turmoil wasn't an option. "If you don't address that, I think you lose the trust of the audience," he said. Before the cameras rolled, he told the couple, "This is an opportunity for you to share your side of the story."
