#RHOA: Dwight Eubanks Calls It His ‘Civic Responsibility’ to ‘Turn a Woman Out’
Dwight Eubanks has a preference for men—and a sense of duty toward women. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum got candid about both during a sit-down with Carlos King on Reality with the King, where a conversation about his romantic history became an explanation of what he considers a personal obligation.
“My responsibility, civic responsibility, my moral responsibility is to turn a woman out,” Eubanks said.
The longtime hairstylist told King that while he prefers men, he considers being with a woman more of a challenge. Asked when he last put that philosophy into practice, Eubanks answered without hesitation: “Yesterday.”
That answer came with a correction. “No, I’m just kidding. I’m just kidding,” he said. “It’s been a couple of years.”
Still, Eubanks said interest hasn’t been lacking. “I get more hits from women than I do guys,” he told King. Despite those advances, he said he hasn’t been in a relationship in more than a decade. What he wants now, he says, is someone to share the quieter moments with, including a trip to the park for an ice cream cone.
“It’s not about sex anymore. It’s about the intimacy and the friendship and the trust,” he explained.
King also revisited Eubanks’ other complicated relationship: his friendship with NeNe Leakes. Both men were there for RHOA’s first season in 2008, with King working as Leakes’ producer and Eubanks becoming a familiar presence alongside her.
Their falling-out became a Season 3 storyline involving money Eubanks allegedly lent her late husband, Gregg. Looking back, Eubanks maintained that Leakes never heard his full account before their confrontation.
“We used to hang out for real,” he said, recalling nights out, travel, and time at her home. “When the time is right, we’ll reconnect.”
Eubanks said he originally joined the show to promote his Purple Door salon and charitable work. Much of that, he recalled, didn’t make the cut.
“They wanted the ratchetness,” he said. “And you know, you have to give the people what they want.”
Away from the old Bravo disputes, Eubanks is navigating the prostate cancer diagnosis he disclosed to People in June 2025. That announcement also marked his partnership with ZERO Prostate Cancer to encourage screening and awareness.
He told King he has not undergone surgery and is pursuing active surveillance with his medical team. According to Eubanks, additional testing suggested the cancer was less aggressive than doctors initially believed.
“The quality of life for me is more important than the quantity,” he said.
Purple Door remains open, and Eubanks said he is preparing to move into education while continuing health outreach. He also wants supporters to understand that an evening out isn’t always an invitation to discuss his medical history.
“If I’m out to have a good time,” he told King, “I don’t want to talk about my health.”
He appreciates the concern. His calendar, however, still has other commitments. “I have too much to do,” he said.

Nas Links With NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani To Discuss Preserving Hip Hop’s Roots In The Big Apple

Queensbridge legend Nas linked with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for a conversation about Hip Hop’s past, present and future, with both men emphasizing the importance of ensuring that the city that created the culture remains a place where it can continue to grow.
The conversation was featured in a short documentary released Wednesday, September 30, highlighting New York City’s newly opened Bronx School of Hip-Hop and the larger question of how the birthplace of Hip Hop can preserve its cultural foundation for future generations.
For Mamdani, simply celebrating what happened in the Bronx more than five decades ago isn’t enough.
“We can’t be content with having been the birthplace of Hip Hop,” Mamdani said. “We want it to still be the home.”
Nas, whose own journey from the Queensbridge Houses to becoming one of Hip Hop’s most celebrated MCs represents exactly the type of New York story being discussed, spoke about the culture as something considerably deeper than entertainment.
“Hip Hop unveils the truth,” Nas said. “Hip Hop tells you exactly what your city looks like, sounds like and feels like.”
The Illmatic MC described the culture as an expression that emerged from communities demanding to be heard during a period when New York was dealing with enormous social and economic challenges.
“It was an outcry from people who demanded things to change, and to tell the world what we were going through,” Nas explained. “And that came from a city that was going through a whole lot.” That history was central to the conversation.
Hip Hop emerged in the South Bronx during the 1970s before spreading across New York’s five boroughs and eventually around the world. More than 50 years later, the culture has become a global force encompassing music, fashion, language, dance, visual art and business.
But the question Mamdani and Nas raised was whether New York can remain more than simply the place where Hip Hop began.
The discussion comes as the city celebrates the opening of the Bronx School of Hip-Hop, a new public high school designed to incorporate elements of Hip Hop culture into traditional academics.
The school opened this month with an inaugural freshman class of approximately 100 students. Its project-based curriculum connects core academic subjects with Hip Hop’s foundational elements, including MCing, DJing, breaking, graffiti and knowledge of self.
Founding principal Jason Reyes said the city’s institutional support for a school centered around Hip Hop represents a remarkable evolution for a culture that was once marginalized by many of the same institutions now celebrating it.
The documentary also features Hip Hop pioneers and New York figures including Melle Mel and Fat Joe.
For Nas, however, preserving the culture isn’t simply about honoring its history.
It is also about giving young people growing up in communities like the one that produced him an opportunity to imagine something beyond survival.
“There’s more to life than just surviving,” Nas said. “It’s all about the youth and how we get them to avoid the mistakes that so many people made.”
Nas reflected on people from his own neighborhood who possessed tremendous potential but lacked opportunities or examples showing them another direction.
“I know so many people from this neighborhood that had so much potential, but there was nothing showing them a different way,” he said.
That point intersects with Mamdani’s larger argument that young New Yorkers shouldn’t have to leave the neighborhoods and communities that shaped them in order to realize their ambitions.
Mamdani’s connection to Hip Hop also predates his political career.
Before entering elected office, the mayor recorded music under names including Young Cardamom and Mr. Cardamom. In 2016, Young Cardamom and HAB released the multilingual EP Sidda Mukyaalo, and Mamdani also worked as a music supervisor on his mother Mira Nair’s film Queen of Katwe.
Now, as mayor, Mamdani is approaching Hip Hop from an entirely different position: helping determine what role New York City government can play in sustaining a culture born within the city’s Black and Latino communities.
For Nas, that means making sure another generation has opportunities that many young people from his era never received.
For Mamdani, it means keeping New York creatively hungry.
“To keep writing, to keep creating, and to keep dreaming, it’s also a reminder of what the city has to be,” Mamdani said. “We have to forever be hungry.”
More than five decades after Hip Hop emerged from the Bronx, Nas and Mamdani’s conversation wasn’t simply about protecting a museum piece.
It was about making sure New York remains a place where the next Nas or the next generation capable of changing Hip Hop entirely, still has room to emerge.
The birthplace is already secured in history.
The challenge now is keeping New York Hip Hop’s home.

Spike Lee Was Restrained During Yankee Stadium Dinner Over Palestine Heckler
Spike Lee‘s pregame dinner at Yankee Stadium became a tense scene Wednesday after a confrontation involving an Ill-mannered heckler prompted people around him to physically restrain the acclaimed filmmaker. The person reportedly asked Lee vaguely about Palestine, using an obscenity.
Lee was dining before the New York Yankees faced the Boston Red Sox on Sept. 30 when an unidentified person began recording him at the restaurant. Sports radio host Andy Slater first reported the encounter and posted video showing the 69-year-old director visibly agitated as several people intervened.
The short 11-second clip does not show any punches being thrown. It shows people surrounding Lee while another man appears to motion for someone to move away from the area.
Slater reported that the person filming Lee asked how he felt about Palestine however, another account added to the report.
The New York Post reported that Lee had initially been friendly with people nearby and posed for photographs before the situation deteriorated. According to the newspaper, the individual filming Lee allegedly asked the director to repeat an obscenity directed at Palestine. The report said Lee became angry and sought help from security.
The person was reportedly removed from the venue.
Neither Lee nor the Yankees have commented on the confrontation.
During the NBA All-Star Game in February, the Oscar-winning filmmaker wore a keffiyeh-patterned sweater and carrying a bag with Palestinian flag imagery. The clothing generated criticism from some pro-Israel people. Israeli-born NBA star Deni Avdija was participating in his first All-Star Game.
Lee later directly addressed speculation surrounding his clothing.
“There has been some conjecture about what I wore to the games on Saturday and Sunday. The clothes I wore are symbols of my concern for the Palestinian children and civilians, and my utmost belief in human dignity for all humankind,” Lee wrote.
“What I wore was not intended as a gesture of hostility to Jewish people or to support violence against anyone, nor was it intended as a comment on the significance of Deni being an an All-Star.”
Lee also praised Avdija afterward and said he had not previously known the player’s background.

Diddy Returns To The Hole After Contraband Phone, Massages & Party Lifestyle In Prison

Diddy is back in solitary confinement at FCI Fort Dix as prison officials investigate allegations that his federal bid turned unusually comfortable.
TMZ reported Wednesday that officials moved the Bad Boy founder into the Special Housing Unit after NBC News detailed his alleged prison setup.
The move came within roughly a day of the NBC investigation, which relied on four men who said they spent time inside Diddy’s unit.
NBC reported that Diddy allegedly used contraband phones, drank premium liquor, bought medication and paid other inmates to cook, clean and handle chores.
“This is not some normal shit you see in jail. This is some rich shit.”
Diddy’s representative rejected that portrayal and said attention around his daily prison life had become excessive and misleading.
“The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence within the rules and he patiently awaits the court’s decision on his appeal.”
The Bureau of Prisons would not confirm Diddy’s punishment, but officials said inmates found violating disciplinary rules can face sanctions.
“Inmates are not permitted to have access to cellphones,” the agency said while acknowledging that contraband remains a persistent problem inside federal prisons.
TMZ reported that Diddy’s return to solitary is standard procedure while prison officials examine allegations raised by the NBC report.
This is his second known trip to the Special Housing Unit this summer after a July fight with another inmate also landed him in isolation.
AllHipHop reported in August that Diddy left solitary on August 12 after spending weeks separated from the general population.
The current investigation follows AllHipHop’s Tuesday report that his projected release timeline has already shifted eight times since sentencing.
Those earlier changes moved his expected exit forward and backward as federal records changed, although officials never publicly explained every adjustment.
Diddy is serving 50 months after a jury convicted him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution while acquitting him of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
The Bureau of Prisons currently lists Diddy’s projected release date from Fort Dix as January 21, 2028.

Deontay Wilder Formally Denies Ex-Fiancée’s Son’s Assault Claims in New Court Filing
Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has formally denied allegations that he physically assaulted the son of his former fiancée, Telli Swift, in a new response to an ongoing civil lawsuit.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ on Sept. 30, Wilder disputes Kerron Swift's account of the alleged abuse and argues that any injuries the plaintiff suffered resulted from pre-existing conditions or events unrelated to him.
His attorneys are also challenging the claims involving assault, battery, false imprisonment and emotional distress, along with the damages Kerron is seeking.
Kerron filed the lawsuit in April, accusing Wilder of repeatedly abusing him between 2016 and 2024, including incidents that allegedly occurred while he was a minor. The new filing sets out Wilder's defense as the case proceeds through Los Angeles County Superior Court.
When the complaint became public, Wilder's attorney, Paul Patterson, issued a statement denying that his client had ever physically disciplined Kerron or any other child.
BBC Sport reported that Patterson characterized the accusations as containing “complete and utter fabrications” and said the boxer intended to defend himself in court.
Patterson also questioned why the complaint had been filed immediately before Wilder's April fight against Derek Chisora, suggesting that its timing was intended to attract publicity.
Kerron's legal representatives rejected that suggestion. They maintained that they had attempted to contact Wilder's counsel before filing the lawsuit and that their decision to proceed was not connected to the upcoming bout.
The complaint describes several alleged confrontations during the years Kerron and Wilder lived in the same household.
Among the accusations are claims that Wilder struck Kerron, used a belt to discipline him and grabbed him by the throat during another incident.
In its original coverage of the complaint, TMZ reported that Kerron alleged Wilder slapped him inside a vehicle when he was 13, causing his head to strike the interior.
Kerron also described a 2019 incident in which Wilder allegedly struck him with a belt, leaving bruises, and a confrontation in 2022 during which he claims the boxer grabbed his throat, lifted him from the floor and slammed him against a wall.
Those accounts are allegations contained in Kerron's civil complaint and have not been established through a final court ruling.
The Los Angeles County court calendar identifies the lawsuit as Kerron Swift v. Deontay Wilder, case number 26PSCV01214, filed on April 2, 2026.
Wilder was preparing to face Chisora at London's O2 Arena on April 4. The former WBC heavyweight champion went on to win the contest by split decision.
Kerron is pursuing financial damages for the physical and psychological harm he alleges resulted from Wilder's conduct. He has requested a jury trial, with the amount of compensation to be determined through the legal proceedings.
Wilder's latest response challenges both the underlying accusations and the claimed connection between his alleged actions and Kerron's reported injuries.

Sophia Bush & Ashlyn Harris Secretly Married Last Year

Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris have revealed they secretly got married last summer!
They had a private event in upstate New York in the summer of 2025, with Sloane and Ocean, Ashlyn‘s two children, present for the nuptials.
Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris spoke out about their wedding
“The kids were just running and happy, and we picked flowers from the property and our daughter Sloane was holding them. It was so fun for them, because it wasn’t this pressure-filled day that’s too much for young kids,” Ashlyn said of the event to Vogue. The night ended with roasting marshmallows as a family: “It was so precious, and zero pressure. I will never forget it, and I think wedding days sometimes aren’t like that.”
About their intimate event, Sophia added, “When you get to this stage in your life, you begin to unpack what’s yours and what’s always sort of been for everyone else. You’ve been playing in stadiums in front of 60,000 people since you were 15 or 16, and I started playing a character for tens of millions of people when I was 21. It’s such a privilege to be able to perform as an athlete or an actor, but it also comes with certain costs.”
They wanted to come forward about the nuptials due to the “partner” label as well: “You’re not my partner, you know? You’re my wife,” Sophia told Ashlyn. “And it feels so amazing to say that.”
Ashlyn was previously married to her ex-wife Ali Krieger.
Ashlyn filed for divorce from Ali in September 2023 after nearly four years of marriage. The former couple were teammates on the U.S. women’s national soccer team, and share the two children.
She spoke candidly of their split earlier this year.
Sophia was most recently married to a man named Grant Hughes.
Sophia and Grant got married on June 11, 2022 in his home state of Oklahoma and split 13 months later.
In 2024, Sophia responded to accusations about the start of her relationship with Ashlyn.

Sia Reportedly Sells Rights to Half of Her Music Catalog for $180 Million
Sia reportedly sold a 50 percent stake in her music catalog to Pophouse for $180 million.
Sia will keep $164 million of a $165 million payout because ex-husband Dan Bernad will receive $1 million in exchange for waiving his claim.
The remaining $15 million, tied to songs written during their marriage, will stay in escrow until the exes agree on a split or dispute it later.
Sia has handed over half of her music catalog to Pophouse for nine figures.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the investment company has agreed to pay $180 million for a 50 percent stake in her catalog, of which $165 million will be paid to the singer.
Sia filed for divorce from Dan Bernad last year. The singer recently agreed to pay Bernad $42,500 per month in child support for their son, who was born in 2024, after going back-and-forth in court for months.
Bernad has agreed to waive any claim to that $165 million in exchange for a $1 million payment from Sia, leaving her with $164 million.
The remaining $15 million, tied to songs written while the two were married, goes into escrow. If Sia and Bernad cannot reach an agreement on how to divide it, they will fight over the money later.
Sia joins a number of notable artists who netted big money deals for their catalogs in recent years.
Sony acquired Bruce Springsteen’s entire catalog for a reported $550 million. Katy Perry sold a portion of her catalog to Litmus Music for $225 million. Justin Bieber sold his music rights to Hipgnosis Songs Capital for about $200 million. Earlier this year, Pophouse itself acquired a majority stake in Tina Turner’s music, as well as name, image, and likeness rights for the late superstar.
The Swedish company was co-founded by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus and EQT founder Conni Jonsson. Its portfolio includes investments tied to artists like Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, and Cyndi Lauper.

Passengers Subdue Pilot After Midair Stabbing on Flight to Tel Aviv

Passengers aboard a FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv helped prevent a potential catastrophe Wednesday after one pilot allegedly stabbed another during the journey, forcing an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.
According to The New York Times, the aircraft landed safely in Tabuk, where passengers and crew members disembarked. A replacement aircraft later transported everyone safely to Israel.
According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, one pilot stabbed the other and “apparently tried to crash the plane with everyone on board.” Israeli authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and its possible motives.
Netanyahu identified the injured pilot as Capt. Smit Machchhar, an Indian citizen. Three Israeli officials identified the other pilot, believed to be the aggressor, as an Omani citizen.
Passengers described a terrifying scene as the aircraft reportedly plunged toward the Saudi desert. Overhead compartments swung open while parents held onto their children.
Tzvika Manes, who was seated in the front row of FlyDubai Flight 1073, told The New York Times that he heard screams coming from the cockpit before rushing to retrieve his 6-year-old daughter from the bathroom.
Manes said the cockpit door was partially open when he saw the bloodied Indian pilot struggling with the other crew member.
Alongside two other passengers, Manes jumped into action to stop the attack. The three managed to overpower the alleged aggressor and used cables from the aircraft’s headphone sets to tie him up and restrain him.
The injured pilot suffered wounds to his head and cuts on his fingers.

Death Row Inmate Christa Pike Survives 2 Lethal Injections in Tennessee Botched Execution Attempt
Tennessee’s attempt to execute the first woman in 200 years, Christa Pike ended last night in a medical and legal emergency, with her attorneys reporting that she remained alive after receiving two lethal injections intended to kill her.
She survived two lethal injection attempts and was reportedly awake during it all. What the actual F?
Inside Nashville’s Riverbend Maximum Security Institution on Wednesday, September 30, witnesses described a disturbing sequence: pentobarbital was administered, Pike continued breathing, and curtains repeatedly blocked their view. More than 40 minutes after the final dose, she reportedly remained awake. Witnesses heard loud snoring, and media observers were escorted out at approximately 8:53 p.m. local time.
Pike reportedly said during the procedure, “The vein in my arm feels like it’s about to bust”.
Her legal team sought emergency court intervention to stop further execution efforts and secure immediate medical treatment. Late Wednesday reporting confirmed her attorneys’ account that she was alive and needed care. Her precise medical condition and whether treatment had been provided remained publicly unclear.
Pike, 50, is Tennessee’s only woman on death row. She was sentenced to death for the 1995 torture and murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer, a fellow Knoxville Job Corps student. Pike was 18 when the killing occurred.
The execution followed hours of courtroom maneuvering. The Sixth Circuit temporarily halted proceedings while considering issues surrounding evidence of Pike’s childhood sexual abuse. The U.S. Supreme Court subsequently lifted that stay, with Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissenting.
Her attorneys had already warned that vein and health conditions could complicate lethal injection. They cited Tennessee’s abandoned May execution attempt involving Tony Carruthers, when staff spent more than an hour unsuccessfully seeking IV access. Dr. Mark Fowler, involved in that procedure, also oversaw Pike’s attempted execution. Those repeated difficulties put the state’s preparation and medical safeguards under renewed scrutiny.
Tennessee officials had provided no detailed explanation late Wednesday. Federal defender Kelley Henry told The Tennessean that another execution date would require action from the Tennessee Supreme Court if Wednesday’s deadline passed
