#MAGFAB: Willow Smith Covers Dazed Magazine 'The Impossible Issue'
Creative talent Willow Smith covered the September 2024 issue of the Dazed [IG] ‘The Impossible’ Issue. Shot in Malibu by Lea Colombo [IG] Smith is styled by Imruh Asha. / Hair by Vernon François; makeup by Raoul Alejandre
Dazed catches up with the new Moncler Genius Shanghai designer in Smith’s interview with Dominique Sisley. We might not know as much about Willow Smith as other talents, but she shares one very insightful personal story about her personality.
The daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith released her exhuberant ‘Whip My Hair’ at age 10. In short order, Willow found herself on tour with Justin Bieber in Dublin. The public attention and spotlight were overwhelming, leaving the young, 11-year-old artist with serious panic attacks. She told her father that she needed to go home. He counseled her to live up to her business obligations. And so she shaved her hair off — an act that a decade later still commands respect.

#RHOA: The Real Housewives of Potomac Recap: Unfriendly Black Hotties
Despite the high-octane preview in last week’s “to be continued” teaser, this week’s episode is actually a bit slower paced. That isn’t always the worst thing – one of the best things about an episode with less conflict is that it forces production to engage in unintentional character studies of the state of the cast individually and amongst each other in the build-up to the next major conflict. In this instance, a more deliberate examination of all of the women only reveals that the more seasoned ladies (and OGs especially) have gotten a bit too comfortable resting on their laurels, and the disruption brought about by the newcomers is activating their worst mean girl traits.
Surprisingly, Gizelle is acting like the biggest team player out of the bunch. She is undoubtedly frustrated by Karen’s behavior at their competing events and makes a point to express her frustration, but doesn’t linger on the point after making her irritation clear. She makes nice with Wendy, even attempting to honor her wish to contain the drama to before Wendy’s 40th birthday. It is an unexpected change of pace for her so far this season – I don’t know if Robyn’s firing put her ass in gear or what, but a more conciliatory Gizelle who still isn’t afraid to stir some mess is pleasant to watch.
Her only real mean moment is when she contributes to the pile-on against newcomer Stacey. Without wading too deep into it just yet, Stacey’s demeanor seems to not quite gel with the girls in a way that seems collectively hard for them to describe, and so they land on “boring” or “stiff” for lack of better phrasing. Neither of those labels seems to make sense for what we see on camera so far; I am more prone to land somewhere closer to “quirky” and “corny,” but hey, Wendy is a full corn on the cob and she has managed to make it work for five seasons in a row, so I don’t know if that justifies the collective dismissal. It could just be chalked up to new-girl hazing, but also, Stacey has a quality about her that reminds me of Kenya Moore – maybe it’s because they’re both Detroit girls who seem to come from that hostess/pageant-girl style training, but Kenya similarly rubbed women the wrong way for being too familiar to quick. Time will tell how it all shakes out, but so far Stacey is taking the critiques in stride, which is really all you can ask of her at the moment.
I do have lingering questions over her non-flying pact. DC to Charlotte isn’t all that long of a drive, but does she just not take any bicoastal work during this month? I get that it is meant to honor a family member who was in a plane accident, but is this a practice that she picked up from someone else? I have genuinely never heard of something like this before.
Wendy is similarly uninterested in wading into the muck, holding onto delusions that she will manage to accomplish a peaceful 40th birthday, a tradition that has never been honored on this show. I mean, the person hosting their trip to Lake Norman tried to fight Wendy at Karen’s birthday celebration just two years ago. That said, finally realizing that Wendy is a Gemini is making a lot of her traits make sense: indecisive, impulsive, can’t commit to an idea or a personality. I do think she is balancing out this season, but I don’t know how it didn’t click until now. When it comes to the drama of the trip, however, she is relatively muted, save for kicking off a very bizarre “sidekick/sidechick” triangle between Jassi, Jacqueline, and Mia.
I am generally waiting to render my verdict on the new women of the cast until the Eileen Davidson Accords embargo lifts (so, next week). However, this is our third season interacting with Jacqueline in some capacity, and I am left more perplexed than ever about her function on this show and relationship with Mia. Last season, we watched her and Mia have a brutal falling out that resulted in the duo levying very damaging allegations at each other. At some point they made up, which is fine, but now Jacqueline is right back to their weirdly possessive and slightly incestuous relationship that raised eyebrows in the first place. What does it matter that Jassi makes a joke about being Mia’s best sidekick? Why are you both arguing over who is the number one sidekick? Why are you sharing a bed with your friend again in a massive house? It is all very bizarre and befuddling, and Mia does nothing to ameliorate the situation by letting everyone who meets them know that Jacqueline is insecure and territorial about their dynamic. It crops up in the weirdest of places: Mia’s friends come to dinner and started sharing old memories, and Jacqueline simply had to interject and remind us that her memories with Mia are older. When Jacqueline got up from the table and insisted that she was the “main course,” I cringed so hard. I have no idea what or who she is trying to prove with these moments, but they are awkward, embarrassing, and simply not landing.
Speaking of Mia — I generally let her get away with her half-truths and outright lies as long as they are not too distracting, but I need her to lay out for me the timeline of her origin story. Is she from DC, from Miami, or from Charlotte? I feel like she has claimed all three at different moments, and I am more confused than ever. Nevertheless, Mia did her best to throw a nice getaway — personal concierges, meals at the ready, activities scheduled — in what felt like an attempt to make up for the fiasco of the Miami trip she handled previously. Ultimately, they’re in a suburb of Charlotte so there is but so much to do beyond paddling around the water in a riverboat, but she still tried to make it nice!
Mia’s clear objective, however, is to attempt to kick up mess with Karen, who is grumpier and meaner than ever on this trip. Karen’s face seems perpetually stuck in a look of disgust or distaste in every scene: she can barely contain her irritation at the women attempting to keep the drama out of Wendy’s birthday when all of her on-camera celebrations have been unmitigated disasters, and is prepared for combat with Gizelle over their competing events even though the facts are clearly not on her side. Mia’s feeble attempts to get Karen to show some remorse and regret in their one-on-one conversation in the Sprinter is roundly dismissed, with Karen insisting that she is not ready to say she “effed up” even though she screamed that she “could have died” the episode prior, a bad look that makes her look deeply self-serving.
Her ugliest moment by far, however, is laying into Jacqueline for the crime of mentioning one of Karen’s most longstanding habits among the cast: drunk dialing her friends and rambling about whatever is on her mind. It is not a new behavior – Gizelle and Robyn called her out on it years ago, and Charrisse made a point of bringing up Karen’s sloppy drunk behavior whenever she got a chance. Even if Jacqueline fully made it up, which I don’t believe she did, the venom with which Karen addresses it completely outweighs any perceived offense. She is so unrelenting that Jacqueline is reduced to tears, only for Karen to respond that “you can cry til the cows, come home, I don’t give a fuck” — a jaw dropping moment that unmasks Karen as a person who is willing to throw anyone overboard if she thinks that it would keep her afloat.
Karen can call herself the eighth wonder of the world all she wants, but at this point it reads more like a natural disaster: uncontrollable, unavoidable, and devastating to themselves and others. It simply does not read well for her to be so vengeful at any attempts to hold her accountable for her behavior, and it transforms her natural sense of theatrics into blustering, malicious, rants. It is unseemly at best and cruel at worst; most shockingly, for someone who generally seems aware of how her behaviors would read on camera and has cultivated a pretty loyal fan base over the years, it betrays a stunning lack of foresight. The Grand Dame is behaving more like a court jester, and it is pretty hard to watch her downfall – especially at the hands of Mia, who is willing to meet Karen at her level and freely sling mud to put her right back in her place.
And after a day of Karen’s ill-advised antics, Mia does just that, setting Karen up by bringing a friend they had both gone out with to let the group know that Karen once drunkenly butt-dialed them both and accidentally let slip that she was spending time with someone not named Ray. The blue-eyes storyline is back in full force, and I don’t think Karen can escape the allegations this time around.
Next week the drama at Lake Norman continues. See you all then!
• Serious question: why is Ashley so broke? She’s constantly doing hosting appearances, trying to get this business off the ground, and making it sound like she’s robbing Peter to pay Paul and keep up her lifestyle, and it doesn’t really add up. She’s nine seasons into her tenure as main cast on a major reality show — that is a good high-six figure check. I would assume she gets minimum 10-25K per hosting gig. Her not-quite-ex is handling the house. Where is her money going? It can’t all be the manufacturing costs of the spandex tights for GnA. Are her kids in some elite private school or something? I am perplexed at the state of her finances.
• I don’t know what y’all consider funny anecdotes between friends, but what comes to mind is a prank gone wrong or embarrassing injuries that we can laugh about – not my man sucking my toes at the dinner table. I cannot get the image of Incs tiny hands caressing Mia’s gargantuan feet out of my head and am seriously forever scarred.
• The jury is definitely still out on Stacey’s friend TJ, but I am astonished that so many of these women are making a big fuss over celibacy, especially since several of them consider themselves devout/practicing Christians. When Gizelle compared TJ to Jamal, I gasped – wasn’t Jamal’s incessant sex life a massive part of what broke up their marriage after all? Self-awareness seems to be in absentia this season.
• Many props to Mia for fully circumventing the standard chaos of room arrangements; I have always found it to be the most childish farce of the franchise. Now, would I have been comfortable being assigned to a bunk bed on what is supposed to be a luxury vacation? Absolutely not, but from what I understand this is a family house and I would assume that this room is for the kids, and people were simply forced to double up because the cast is a bit loaded this year.
• Every time these women talk about their relationships with their male partners they keep relating details with pride, yet all I hear is glaring red flags. What do you mean you are helping your man’s business and he is publicly calling you an employee? What do you mean you had to give yourself a fancy title while he kind of lets you take on all this extra work? If you need a hobby or some extra work to do, just go to grad school like every other Black woman going through a life change!
• All drama aside, I am glad to hear that Gordon is taking his mental health seriously. I can’t imagine all this disturbance in his personal life is helping things, but it is clear that Mia was covering for his reckless decision-making for some time, and that is likely what contributed to him being pushed out of the family business.

Lil Durk booked three international flights in an alleged attempt to flee the country following the murder-for-hire arrests of five people associated with his group, “Only the Family (OTF).”
According to the indictment obtained by WGN News, records show law enforcement personnel arrested 32-year-old Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks, Thursday night upon his arrival at a Miami-area airport.
The FBI learned that Banks had booked at least three international flights following the arrests of Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston, who prosecutors allege all have ties to OTF, which Banks formed in 2010. The five men were indicted on federal charges in Los Angeles regarding a plot to kill rapper Quando Rondo.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection alerted the FBI that Banks booked two one-way flights to Dubai and Switzerland on Thursday.
While Banks did not board either flight, FBI officials soon learned that the 32-year-old Chicago rapper had also booked a private plane to depart Miami and arrive in Italy.
The indictment further revealed that FBI agents arrested Durk around 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, an hour before the scheduled plane’s departure time. Authorities transported Banks to Broward County Jail, pending a conspiracy murder-for-hire charge.
The rapper was due to appear in court on Friday.
Prosecutors aim to prove that Durk and his alleged five associates targeted rapper Quando Rondo over his suspected involvement in the killing of Chicago rapper King Von in 2020.

Daniel Kaluuya’s statue in London sparks controversy among fans
Daniel Kaluuya, the acclaimed British actor known for his groundbreaking role in Jordan Peele’s 2017 film Get Out, has recently been honored with a statue in Leicester Square, London. While this recognition celebrates his significant contribution to cinema, it has also ignited a wave of outrage among fans who feel the statue’s symbolism is problematic.
Kaluuya’s portrayal of Chris Washington in Get Out marked a pivotal moment in his career, propelling him into the spotlight and leading to roles in major films such as Black Panther and Judas and the Black Messiah. The latter earned him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2021, solidifying his status as a leading figure in Hollywood.
The statue, unveiled on Oct. 9, 2024, is part of the “Scenes in the Square” initiative, which pays tribute to beloved characters and iconic moments in film history. Other statues in the square include characters like Bugs Bunny and Harry Potter, making Kaluuya’s inclusion a notable addition to this collection.
Mixed reactions from fans
Despite the honor, many fans have expressed disappointment and concern regarding the statue’s depiction. Critics argue that immortalizing Kaluuya’s character in a moment of vulnerability — specifically, when Chris falls into the “sunken place” — is not an appropriate tribute. One fan commented, “They made a statue of a Black man falling into the sunken place. I don’t think that’s the best look.” This sentiment reflects a broader critique of how Black narratives are often portrayed in mainstream media.
Kaluuya himself shared the news of the statue on social media, emphasizing that it was chosen by the people. He expressed pride in the moment, stating, “The most special thing about all of this is that it’s been chosen by the people.” However, during the unveiling ceremony, observers noted his seemingly mixed reactions as he examined the statue, with some suggesting he appeared embarrassed.
Artistic collaboration and design
The statue was designed by Sally Regis, director at the creative company 3D Eye. Regis revealed that Kaluuya was involved in the design process, discussing his feelings about the film and his London roots. This collaboration aimed to capture the dynamic essence of Kaluuya’s character, yet the final representation has left many questioning its appropriateness.
Broader implications and cultural commentary
The backlash against the statue highlights ongoing conversations about representation and the portrayal of Black characters in film. Get Out itself is a critical commentary on race relations, exploring themes of exploitation and identity. By choosing to depict a moment of trauma for Kaluuya’s character, critics argue that the statue inadvertently reinforces negative stereotypes rather than celebrating his achievements.
As discussions continue, it’s essential to consider how such representations impact public perception and the narratives surrounding Black individuals in the entertainment industry. The statue’s unveiling serves as a reminder of the complexities involved in honoring Black artistry and the importance of thoughtful representation.
While Kaluuya’s statue in Leicester Square is intended as a tribute to his groundbreaking role in Get Out, the mixed reactions from fans underscore the need for deeper reflection on how Black stories are told and celebrated. As the conversation evolves, it is crucial for the industry to listen to the voices of those it seeks to honor, ensuring that representations are both respectful and empowering.
Kaluuya’s journey from the “sunken place” to stardom is a testament to his talent and resilience, and it is vital that any commemorations reflect the full scope of his contributions to cinema.

Why Michelle Williams missed Destiny’s Child reunion at Kamala Harris rally
In an exclusive report by theJasmineBrand, fans of Destiny’s Child were left wondering about the absence of Michelle Williams at a recent rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Houston. The event was highly anticipated as it was expected to feature all three members of the iconic R&B group, including Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, who both spoke at the rally.
During the rally, Beyoncé and Rowland took the stage to support Harris, creating a buzz among fans and attendees. However, Williams was notably missing, leading to speculation about her absence. Sources close to the situation revealed that there were initial plans for all three members to reunite on stage, making the event even more special for their fans.
Why was Williams absent?
According to exclusive sources, Williams’ absence was due to a scheduling conflict. Currently, she is performing in the Broadway production of Death Becomes Her. The source stated, “Michelle really wanted to be there but logistically couldn’t pull it off.” This highlights the challenges that come with balancing a demanding schedule in the entertainment industry.
Additional challenges
To complicate matters further, one of Williams’ co-stars in the Broadway show fell ill, making it even more difficult for her to attend the rally. This unfortunate situation underscores the unpredictable nature of live performances and the commitments that come with them. As of now, Williams has not publicly commented on her absence from the rally, leaving fans eager for more information
Impact on fans and the group
The absence of Williams at such a significant event has sparked conversations among fans about the dynamics of Destiny’s Child. The group, known for their powerful harmonies and impactful music, has a loyal fan base that cherishes every opportunity to see the trio together. The anticipation for a reunion performance remains high, and events like the Harris rally only amplify that desire.
Looking ahead
Despite the setback at the rally, fans remain hopeful for future opportunities to see Destiny’s Child members reunite. With Williams’ Broadway commitments and Beyoncé’s busy schedule, it may take some time before the trio can perform together again. However, the legacy of Destiny’s Child continues to thrive, with their music still resonating with audiences today.

Tyler Perry Allegedly Once Fired An Actress For Making A Crew Member Cry Over An Incorrect Food Order
A woman who says she previously worked for Tyler Perry recently shared a heartwarming story about the media mogul standing up for what’s right.
In a post to Threads, she wrote:“I was on the set of a Tyler Perry movie once and saw him fire one of his actresses. A Hispanic lady from the catering crew had messed up her lunch order and she was very, VERY rude about it. The next day, that actress was gone and her replacement was there. Mr. Perry had a talk with the entire cast and crew about being respectful on his set to EVERYBODY. He made it very clear that he was not above letting anyone go. When I say he is a treasure, that’s the type of stuff I’m talking about. He has a lot of empathy and he is a very kind human being! The actress made the caterer cry. That’s how nasty and disrespectful she was. Tyler Perry was having none of that! He told us that everyone deserves respect. Everyone. From the janitor to the celebrities.”
The woman went on to state that Perry used the disheartening moment to bring about something positive, however, sharing that he ended up promoting someone from the background crew to replace the fired actress.

Lil Nas X and Azealia Banks Engage in Fiery Social Media Clash Over Music Critique
It all started when Banks tweeted that Lil Nas X had “fallen off,” adding, “Lil Nas X really fell off so hard. Lmfao that little cuntrag swore she was the tea. B***h has NO BARS. Hahahahaahahahaa.”
Lil Nas X took notice and fired back in a blunt tweet of his own, calling out her looks and what he views as her lack of a career.
“Azealia, I could never make a hit song again and you would still never in ur bussy soap-selling, chicken-sacrificing, botched-body-hating, miserable life reach a 10th of my success. Love ur music btw,” he wrote.
Banks continued her rant on Twitter, calling out the rapper for even responding to her. She referred to him as an “overgrown twink.” She even took things a step further by claiming Lil Nas X had taken suggestive photos mocking the Crips gang. To display the alleged disrespect, she even threatened to leak them.
Banks also argued that the “Old Town Road” star was forced to pay men to be with him and even threatened to spit in his mouth.
It appears that Lil Nas X deleted his response, though Banks is standing beside her words.

Less than a month after Christopher Ciccone succumbed to cancer on October 4, Madonna, alongside her daughter Lourdes, visited his grave at Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin, Michigan. Sharing the experience through her Instagram Stories on October 25, Madonna captioned a photo of Christopher's gravestone with a simple yet profound "Homecoming…………." Caption.
The green marble gravestone was adorned with his name, date of birth, and date of death, a stark reminder of the time they shared.
Not only did Madonna honor her brother, but she also took the time to visit her mother's grave. Madonna Fortin Ciccone, who passed away in 1963 when Madonna was just a child of five, was remembered with red roses and heartfelt kneeling at the gravestone.
Lourdes, 28, joined her mother in this tribute, posing for a photo at her grandmother's grave. Adding to the emotional weight of the visit, Madonna shared a black-and-white video from the past of herself kneeling at her mother's grave with Christopher observing, captioning it, "Life is a Circle."
The trip back to Michigan included a visit to Madonna's grandmother's house. She captured a nostalgic moment outside the home, reminiscing with the words, "When I was little, I thought my Nanoos house was a mansion!"
Christopher Ciccone, who passed away at 63, shared a unique bond with his famous sister. As an integral part of her career, he was not just a dresser and creative consultant but also a talented interior designer, footwear designer, painter, and memoirist.
Reflecting on their relationship, Madonna wrote two days after his death, "He was the closest human to be for so long. It's hard to explain our bond but it grew out of an understanding that we were different and society was going to give us a hard time for not following the status quo."
Madonna revealed that despite experiencing a rough patch and not speaking for some time, they reconciled as Christopher's health declined. She expressed, "We took each other's hands and we danced through the madness of our childhood. In fact dance was a kind of superglue that held us together. Discovering dance in our small Midwestern town saved me and then my brother came along and it saved him too."
She concluded her tribute with a heartfelt sentiment," There will never be anyone like him. I know he's dancing somewhere. [broken heart]."

#BoxOfficeNews: 'Venom: The Last Dance' Tops the Box Office with Slighty less numbers than the last one.
"Venom: The Last Dance" opens at No. 1 at the box office following its debut. Despite that, the Tom Hardy-starring movie, which marks the third and final entry of the antihero's story in Sony, shows lack of bite as it falls short of fans' expectations.
"Venom 3" opens to a disappointing $51M on 4,131 screens for a Per Screen Average of $12,346. The number are far behind projections of $65 million and much lower than the precedents. 2018's "Venom" opened to $80 million, while 2021's "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" grossed pandemic record $90 million in its first week.
Despite the bad performance in the domestic market, "Venom 3" shows its strong popularity among international audiences. The "Spider-Man" spin-off has feasted on $124 million overseas for a global start of $175 million.
"Moviegoing is falling back into its sunken state. 'Joker 2' left a hole, and 'Venom 3' is not filling it," says David A. Gross, who runs the movie consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research. "There's little momentum right now."
Back to the new Box Office chart, "Smile 2" took the No. 2 spot in its second week with $9.4 million gross, bringing its domestic cume to $40.7 million so far. "Conclave", meanwhile, opens at No. 3 with $6.5 million from 1,753 theaters. The movie follows Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) as he's tasked with running the covert process of selecting the next Pope after the unexpected death of the current one.
On the other hand, Universal and DreamWorks Animation's "The Wild Robot" falls to No. 4 after gaining $6.5 million in its fifth weekend of release. Following it up at No. 5 is A24's weepy romantic drama "We Live in Time" that earns $4.8 million while expanding to 1,939 theaters.
"Terrifier 3" drops to No. 6 with a little under $5 million, adding to its nearly $46 million total gross. With $3.23 million, "Bettlejuice Bettlejuice" falls to No. 7. "Anora", which was previously at No. 18, takes over the No. 8 spot with $867,142.
Rounding out the Top 10 are "Piece by Piece" and "Transformers One". "Piece by Piece" is at No. 9 with $720,110. As for "Transformers One", it is at No. 10 after earning an additional $720,000 this weekend.

Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' legal team has responded to allegations that actor Jamie Foxx has something to do with the rap mogul's arrest. In a statement issued on Sunday, October 27, Diddy's lawyers shut down the claims.
In an email to AllHipHop, Diddy's legal team called all of these allegations around the "Django Unchained" star a cap, dubbing it "outlandish, ridiculous and baseless." Jamie's team also denied that the actor has any connection to Diddy's legal drama.
The statement came after it was said that Jamie name-dropped Diddy during a live taping of his upcoming Netflix special, "What Had Happened Was". According to eyewitnesses, Jamie suggested that Diddy was responsible for his hospitalization in 2023. A source, however, claimed to In Touch that there is "no truth" to the allegations.
Director Choke No Joke also made similar allegations during an interview with Comedy Hype. "Jamie has a special coming out on Netflix called What Had Really Happened Was, and I went to the taping of it," Choke revealed. "It was three days taping. I went to the first show and I went to the last show. Jamie Foxx states in the special that Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and he is the one that called the FBI on him."
Choke added that Jamie didn't seem to be joking when he said that. "Y'all can determine [whether he] was joking or not when you see the show because to me, I'm a new comedian, right?" Choke explained.
"I've learned, and I know when somebody's setting up a punchline, and I know when you're serious. After he said, 'Yeah, Diddy is the one that did something to me,' he said, 'And I'm the one who called the feds on him,' " he added. "Jamie was scared, right? He disappeared, right? He out [in public] now, as soon as Puff went to jail."

Fans praise Martin Lawrence for reprising ‘Blue Streak’ role in upcoming sequel
Martin Lawrence has another classic in the works! The entertainer is still reeling from the massive success of Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which grossed a reported $403.7 million at the global box office this summer. But instead of hitting cruise control, he is gearing up to reprise one of his most iconic film roles: Miles Logan, a career thief who disguised himself as a Los Angeles detective in Blue Streak.
He surprised fans on social media with the announcement of a sequel to the 1999 comedy. Lawrence wrote, “Y’all better get ready to get all up [in] this thing, ‘cause Blue Streak 2 is on the way! Much love to my team Runteldat Entertainment for hustlin’ hard to make this a reality,” and shared artwork from the original movie poster. According to Deadline, a script is in development but a cast has not been assembled.
In another post shared on Twitter, he simply asked fans, “Y’all ready for this?” A resounding 2,400 people responded, with many saying “yes” by way of gifs of their favorite moments from the film. The original storyline sees Miles released from a two-year stint in prison in connection with a jewel heist. Upon regaining his freedom, the criminal makes it his top priority to locate a diamond he hid at a construction site that has since become a police department. Through several hijinks, including acting as a member of the force, he is eventually reunited with the gem and allowed to flee to Mexico, despite his law enforcement peers learning of his identity.
“Now THIS is how it should be done, no remakes just REVIVE,” one person wrote. A second user said, “Definitely! I hope you bring the whole crew back, including Dave Chappelle!” Another supporter hopes that the sequel will finally answer lingering questions from the original. That person commented, “That would be cool [because] we never knew what happened to your character after you went across [the border] to Mexico.” And like several others, they too hoped to see the full original cast reprise their roles, adding, “Luke Wilson gotta come back with you too if this happens.”
The stand-up legend is currently on his “Y’all Know What It Is!” tour, with dates running through April of next year.

Republicans, Bad Bunny and J Lo lead backlash to Tony Hinchcliffe’s racist Puerto Rico joke at Trump’s MSG rally
Republicans and celebrities are reacting with fury to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s racist joke about Puerto Rico during Donald Trump’s marathon rally at Madison Square Garden.
The controversial comedian sparked backlash when he took to the stage at Sunday night’s event in New York City and compared the Caribbean island to “garbage.”
“There’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now,” Hinchcliffe said. “I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”
The fallout from the joke, which fell flat in the stadium, comes as Kamala Harris revealed her plans for the US territory on the same day. “Puerto Rico is home to some of the most talented, innovative and ambitious people in our nation,” she said. “Puerto Ricans deserve a president who sees and invests in that strength.”
Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny threw his support behind Harris by sharing the campaign video of her plans for Puerto Ricans with his 45 million followers on Instagram.
He shared a clip where Harris said: “I will never forget what Donald Trump did and what he did not do when Puerto Rico needed a caring and a competent leader.”
Jennifer Lopez also took the opportunity to share her support for Harris by reposting the video with emojis of the Puerto Rican flag and a ballot box, signaling she had voted for the Democrat.
Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin shared the clip of Hinchcliffe’s offensive joke on Instagram and said: “This is what they think of us. Vote for @kamalaharris.”
Several Republicans have also publicly condemned the comedian’s comments while the Trump campaign is now attempting to distance itself from the remarks.
In a statement, senior Trump adviser Danielle Alvarez claimed the joke “does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign.”
Florida Senator Rick Scott posted a statement on X saying the “joke bombed for a reason.”
“It’s not funny and it’s not true,” he said. “Puerto Ricans are amazing people and amazing Americans! I’ve been to the island many times. It’s a beautiful place. Everyone should visit! I will always do whatever I can to help any Puerto Rican in Florida or on the island.”
Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar also slammed Hinchcliffe and said his views do not “reflect GOP values.”
“Disgusted by @TonyHinchcliffe’s racist comment calling Puerto Rico a ‘floating island of garbage,” she wrote on X. “This rhetoric does not reflect GOP values. Puerto Rico sent 48,000+ soldiers to Vietnam, with over 345 Purple Hearts awarded. This bravery deserves respect.”
Democrats also quickly slammed Hinchcliffe’s comments – and the Trump campaign for platforming them.
Tim Walz and congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded while on live streaming platform Twitch (Twitch)
Tim Walz and New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded while on live streaming platform Twitch, where the Minnesota governor called Hinchcliffe a “jackwad” and recalled how Trump responded to Hurricane Maria, which devastated Puerto Rico in 2017.
“Does anybody remember how [Trump] responded to [hurricane] Maria in Puerto Rico? It was absolutely horrific,” Walz said. “Down there, insulting people. People in Puerto Rico are citizens, they pay taxes, they’re in the military.”
Ocasio-Cortez added that the joke was “super upsetting.” She said: “When you have some a-hole calling Puerto Rico floating garbage, know that that’s what they think about you. That’s what they think about anybody who makes less money than them.”
Hinchcliffe addressed the pair’s criticism in a post on X, where he claimed they had taken the joke “out of context.”
“These people have no sense of humor. Wild that a vice presidential candidate would take time out of his ‘busy schedule’ to analyze a joke taken out of context to make it seem racist,” Hinchcliffe said. “I love Puerto Rico and vacation there. I made fun of everyone…watch the whole set. I’m a comedian Tim…might be time to change your tampon.”
Ocasio-Cortez responded to his post: “Can’t get over this dude telling someone else to change tampons when he’s the one s***ing bricks in his. Depends after realizing opening for a Trump rally and feeding red-meat racism alongside a throng of other bigots to a frothing crowd does, unironically, make you one of them.

Lizzo Wears Ozempic Halloween Costume Referencing 'South Park' Episode That Made Fun of Her
Lizzo had some South Park fun for Halloween. On Saturday (October 26), the singer posted clips and images of herself parodying the South Park special "The End of Obesity" from May. In the episode, the show's lead character Eric Cartman was prescribed a weight-loss drug named after Lizzo, also an alternative for Ozempic.
Just days before Halloween, the 4-time Grammy winner dressed in a tube of 'LizzOzempic,' which promises "a smile on your face and a pep in your step." Other videos show Lizzo dancing with a cardboard cutout and costumed version of Cartman; one post showing her flipping off the camera while the South Park jingle for the 'Lizzo' drug is sang.
Lizzo's playful reaction to the episode is quite opposite from how she called out the show in May, when she called the spoof her "worst fear" in a blind duet TikTok with a scene from South Park.
"That’s crazy. I just feel like, damn, I’m really that bitch," she said around the 1:30-minute mark of the TikTok below. "I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a fuck to the point where these men in Colorado know who the fuck I am and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years."
South Park, which is historically known for their celebrity spoofs, mocked the artist for her message body positivity in the episode. Recently, Lizzo has been on a workout kick, bringing her social media following along for the journey.

Adele, Celine Dion Share Tearful Embrace at Vegas Show
Adele was brought to tears mid-performance after spotting Celine Dion sitting in the audience at her Las Vegas residency show. Adele was in the middle of singing “When We Were Young” at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace when she spotted Dion in the crowd. In a video captured of the heartwarming moment, is visibly shocked and hurries over to Dion for an emotional embrace.
Both Adele and Celine were moved to tears by the interaction, which culminated in Adele introducing Dion to the crowd. The legendary singer of "My Heart Will Go On" received a standing ovation, adding a bow on an already perfect moment
Adele’s moment was already a tear-jerker but probably doubly so for fans as the Brit wraps up her shows in Vegas to take an extended break from music.
A couple of months ago, Adele made it clear at a show in Munich that she would be stepping away from music for “an incredibly long time.”
“I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now,” the singer said in a heartfelt speech to her fans. “I want to live my life that I’ve been building, and I will miss you terribly.
“I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” she continued. “And I will hold you dear in my heart for the whole length of my break.”
One of her reasons for taking a break from music could be her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Rich Paul. After a fan proposed to the singer on stage at one of her Munich shows, Adele responded jokingly, “I can’t marry you, I’m already getting married.”

Social Media Erupts Over Shaq’s ‘Creepy’ Remarks on WNBA Star Angel Reese’s ‘Booty Shorts’ Attire
*Shaquille “Shaq” O’Neal‘s recent comments about WNBA star Angel Reese have sparked significant outrage on social media, raising questions about the boundaries of appropriate discussion concerning women athletes.
During his guest appearance on Reese’s podcast, “Unapologetically Angel,” O’Neal (52) made remarks regarding Reese’s attire while she was filming a segment for Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out.” The 22-year-old pro-bball star was seen wearing a light blue crop top and matching shorts, prompting O’Neal to share unsolicited marketing advice that many perceived as inappropriate.
“Imagine you in them same little a** shorts you had on at the Wild N’ Out show dunking. You know how many T-shirts you gone sell? You tripping,”Shaq told her.
Reese’s discomfort was palpable as O’Neal continued to comment on her outfit and the visual implications of her dunking in such revealing clothing. Despite her attempts to shift the conversation to more neutral topics, O’Neal’s fixation on her shorts persisted, which many viewers found unsettling.
The clip from the podcast quickly went viral, leading to widespread condemnation of O’Neal’s behavior, with critics labeling his comments as “creepy” and accusing him of objectifying Reese.
The backlash was swift and intense, with many advocating for the TNT Network to take action against the former basketball player, calling for his suspension or even dismissal due to what they described as overt misogyny. Commentary from social media users was particularly harsh; women voiced their concerns that O’Neal’s remarks constituted sexual harassment in front of a large audience, disrupting the safe space that should exist for female athletes.
However, O’Neal’s comments also received a measure of support from some quarters, largely from male commentators who argued that Reese’s choice of attire was provocative and thereby invited such attention. This victim-blaming stance intensified the critique revolving around the conversation, with many asserting that O’Neal should have recognized the potential impact of his words, regardless of Reese’s outfit choice. Comments on social media reflected a deep frustration with O’Neal’s remarks, with one user pointing out the inherent problem with older men failing to grasp how their words can be perceived: “My issue with men is that they ‘forget’ how old they are which also aids in them being creeps.”
Another comment drew parallels to Chris Rock’s past remarks, suggesting that O’Neal’s disconnection from the realities of younger women’s experiences dated him as out of touch. Such reflections have raised broader questions about age, masculinity, and the responsibility of public figures to model respectful behavior.
One user articulated the broader implications of Shaq’s conduct, stating, “Shaq has been incredibly creepy since he used to get laughs alongside him post-divorce.” They noted a concerning pattern wherein O’Neal seems to pursue attention from much younger women, further complicating the optics surrounding his advice to Reese and the responsibility he carries as a public figure.
As the situation continues to unfold, it serves as a critical reminder of the importance of respect and appropriateness in discussions involving female athletes and public figures. The diverse reactions mark not just a moment of backlash against an individual but also spotlight ongoing conversations about gender dynamics, the portrayal of women in sports, and the societal expectations that govern those interactions.
The incident has mobilized discussions about how society views athletes—especially women—and highlights the need for a cultural shift that respects personal agency and expression without compromising dignity.
Ultimately, the repercussions of this controversy echo the sentiments of many who advocate for a more respectful dialogue surrounding women in sports, especially as they navigate their careers in the public eye.

Tiffany Haddish Seeks Delay in Georgia DUI Trial for Overseas Charity Event Commitment
Comedian Tiffany Haddish is facing DUI charges in both Georgia and Los Angeles, and now she’s asking for a delay in her Georgia case due to a prior commitment overseas. Haddish, who was arrested after allegedly falling asleep behind the wheel in the middle of traffic, has requested a postponement to fulfill her role at a charitable event abroad.
In documents obtained by In Touch, Haddish’s attorney appealed to the judge presiding over her Georgia case to delay her trial, originally set for October 21-25. Her lawyer cited her scheduled appearance as a host for Fashion Trust Arabia in Marrakesh, Morocco, on October 23. The comedian, 44, noted this event’s significance, explaining that Fashion Trust Arabia supports young designers and entrepreneurs across the Middle East. “The organization is relying on Ms. Haddish for this event, and this is a significant personal and financial commitment,” her lawyer stated.
Haddish also pointed out that the court had not yet ruled on a separate motion to suppress certain evidence in her case, arguing that a decision on this motion should precede any set trial date. According to court documents, the prosecution did not object to her request, and the judge approved the postponement.
The charges stem from a January 2022 incident in Peachtree City, Georgia, when police responded to reports of a driver asleep at the wheel. Officers located Haddish’s car and, noting signs of impairment, arrested her on suspicion of DUI. Following her release on a $1,666 bond, Haddish entered a plea of not guilty.
Complicating matters further, Haddish also faced DUI charges in Los Angeles after another incident of falling asleep behind the wheel with a BAC exceeding .08%. As a result, Georgia prosecutors requested that Haddish refrain from alcohol or drug use while out on bond and undergo regular drug testing. Initially required to test weekly, Haddish’s testing schedule has since been reduced to bi-monthly.
In Los Angeles, Haddish has since reached a plea deal on the DUI charge, though the Georgia case remains ongoing.

Winner of Doja Cat’s Airbnb Concert Ticket Claims They Were Kicked Out for Bringing Items to be Autographed
Earlier this month, we reported that Doja Cat, fresh off her performance at the Global Citizen Festival, was giving fans an intimate and exclusive concert through a partnership with Airbnb. The one-night-only show was awarded to several winners who were handpicked for the unique opportunity.
Reports stated that Doja was set to put on a listening session, where she performed carefully curated tunes. She previously expressed her excitement to Billboard about putting on the once-in-a-lifetime performance. While the event was expected to be filled with good vibes and catchy songs, one attendee allegedly had a different experience.
A Twitter user known as @grandeunext recounted their time at the concert and revealed that they were kicked out after trying to bring in multiple items, including tote bags, food, merch, and paraphernalia, that they wanted signed by Doja. One of the pieces the user wanted autographed was a screenshot that showed they were blocked on Twitter by Doja’s account and a handwritten letter.
The user clarified that their anger was directed towards Doja, not her team, who were allegedly bothered by the screenshot.
“I spent HUNDREDS on bus tickets, merch, an Airbnb, Uber, and more just to partake in an opportunity that would’ve been a dream experience for me,” the user wrote on the social media platform. “If at any time being blocked was a red flag, you shouldn’t have allowed me to spend hundreds on this trip.”
However, despite the user’s complaints, other attendees took to TikTok to detail their experience, completely different from @grandeunext. In fact, one TikTok user known as Nolan Lewis stated, “The staff were so nice to us, so funny to us, very caring, always checking on us to make sure we were okay. I don’t want anyone involved in the administrative process to think they were doing something terrible by having everyone’s safety in mind.”
Another user named Ginger also spoke about her time at the event and mentioned that “it was phenomenal.” She went on to say that Doja’s team and Airbnb’s partnership was an “insane” experience. She debunked the rumors that tend to follow Doja regarding her disliking her fans.
Neither Doja nor her team has addressed the incident, and it’s unclear whether the user was refunded for their time and money.

Indiana Fever Fires Coach Christie Sides in Latest WNBA Shake-Up Following Playoff Exit
In a surprising move for some, the Indiana Fever announced on Sunday that they fired coach Christie Sides following a disappointing end to the season.
This decision comes just after Caitlin Clark, the 2024 WNBA Draft’s No. 1 overall pick and sensational Rookie of the Year, saw her inaugural season conclude with a swift playoff sweep by the Connecticut Sun. Despite an impressive individual performance by Clark, averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game, her efforts were not enough to save Sides’ job. Under her leadership, the Fever ended the season with a 33-47 record, managing to claw their way to the No. 6 seed after a rocky start, only to crash out of the playoffs in the first round.
In a statement, Fever president of basketball operations Kelly Krauskopf expressed gratitude for Sides’ role during a challenging transition period. However, the gravity of the situation cannot be overstated.
“While decisions like these are never easy, it is also imperative that we remain bold and assertive in the pursuit of our goals, which includes maximizing our talent and bringing another WNBA championship back to Indiana,” Krauskopf wrote in a statement.
This decision adds to the growing list of coaching vacancies in the WNBA, with six teams now searching for new leadership. Last month, the league made headlines when the Chicago Sky terminated coach Teresa Weatherspoon after one season, which significantly impacted rookie Angel Reese. This latest firing raises questions about the Fever’s direction as they look to maximize their talent and chase another championship. The abrupt end to Sides’ tenure, especially after guiding a rookie star like Clark, has left fans and analysts questioning the team’s next steps.

On October 27, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade was honored with an 8-foot bronze statue outside the Kaseya Center in Miami. The statue captures Wade's iconic pose following a double overtime victory against the Chicago Bulls in March 2009, a moment that has become synonymous with his dominance on the court.
The statue was designed by Rotblatt Amrany Studio sculptors Omri Amrany and Oscar León, who also created the Kobe Bryant "Black Mamba" and "Kobe and Gianna Bryant Memorial" statues. Wade was deeply involved in the design process and expressed his satisfaction with the final result.
The statue's unveiling was a star-studded event, attended by Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union-Wade, and former teammates such as Udonis Haslem and Bam Adebayo. Wade spoke passionately about the legacy he wishes to leave, saying, "I believe I gave you guys something set in stone to hold onto. This is my house. I'm out."
The statue's unveiling held special significance as it honored both Wade's legendary career and his close friendship with Kobe Bryant. Wade said that the sight of his statue alongside Bryant's at the same studio "hit him" and made him realize the importance of the legacy they were both building.
Dwyane Wade's statue stands as a tribute to his unwavering determination, his unmatched skill on the court, and the lasting impact he has had on the Miami Heat and the NBA. It also serves as a testament to the deep bond he shared with Kobe Bryant, whose presence continues to inspire players past and present.
