As the trailer reveals (which you can check out at the top of this post), Angela and Shamea don't exactly see eye to eye. After exchanging some intense insults, will they be able to get on the same page and form a friendship?

#HipHopNews: Kendrick Lamar’s A Minor Chain At 2025 Super Bowl Explained
Kendrick Lamar's 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show chain has left viewers wondering: What did the rapper's letter "A" mean?
During his performance in New Orleans on Sunday (Feb. 9), the rapper appeared on the field wearing a diamond necklace featuring a lowercase letter "A."

The letter holds significance to K-Dot, but many have speculated the necklace might have been a dig at fellow rapper Drake, with whom Kendrick has had an ongoing feud for most of the last year.
Why Was Kendrick Lamar Wearing a Lowercase "A" Chain at the Super Bowl?
The lowercase "A" hails from the logo of Kendrick Lamar's multimedia communications company, pgLang.
The company was founded in 2020, by Lamar and Dave Free. Headquartered in Los Angeles, pgLang focuses on music, film, television, art, books, podcasts and clothing. PgLang aims to communicate this generation's creative language through various mediums.

So, Dot was repping his company's logo with the chain. Plus, he also featured the name of the company on the back of his performance jacket. The "A" also appeared on flags being waved by his crew on the Super Bowl field.
The Kendrick Lamar and  Drake rap battle consumed hip-hop for much of 2024, and the public feud carried over into the Super Bowl.

In his song "Not Like Us," Lamar raps, "Tryna strike a chord and it's probably a minor." The lyric serves as a double entendre, referencing both the A minor musical chord and insinuating that Drake, who Dot calls a "certified pedophile" in the song, engages in inappropriate relationships with underage individuals.
The feud escalated to legal action, with Drake filing a lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the allegations made in "Not Like Us."
During his performance at the 2025 Super Bowl, K- Dot reignited the controversy when he sang the "a minor" lyric and pointedly dissed Drake by calling him out by name while looking directly at the TV camera.
On social media, many rap fans speculated that the chain Kendrick wore during the performance, which was literally a "minor" letter "A," was also a diss toward Drake while others explained that it was part of the pgLang brand.

Michael Jackson’s Companies Call Accuser’s Sexual Abuse Allegations ‘Frivolous’ In New Court Filing

James Safechuck is facing scrutiny after Michael Jackson’s companies labeled his allegations as “frivolous” and “scurrilous.”
According to In Touch, MJJ Productions and MJJ Ventures denied all claims made by Safechuck in his ongoing lawsuit in a recent court filing. They argue that Safechuck waited “almost four years after Michael Jackson’s death” to bring his accusations forward, calling the timing suspicious.

The companies also argue that Safechuck’s lawsuit should be dismissed, calling it “frivolous” and citing his history of making “false” statements in previous cases.
Safechuck’s lawsuit claims that Jackson abused him between 1988 and 1992, when he was just 10 years old.

The case is now preparing for trial after being revived by the courts.
What do you think—are Safechuck’s claims legitimate, or do you believe they’re frivolous?

‘Harlem’ Cast Bids Series Farewell At Los Angeles Finale Party
The ladies of Harlem recognized the series finale with a star-studded affair, ending the era with cocktails, caviar, and celebration. Last week (Feb. 7) the leading ladies, as well as series creator Tracy Oliver, gathered at Issa Rae‘s Somerville restaurant in Los Angeles to toast to the successful series.
The event included a DJ mixing through nostalgic R&B, Afrobeats, and Hip-Hop. A saxophonist also joined in at various points, engaging with the audience and the DJ, adding a live-music element to the affair. Additionally, Harlem star Shoniqua Shandai gave a special performance of her latest release “Black.”

Guests including Meagan Good, Jonathan Majors, Ryan Destiny, Nafessa Williams, Grace Byers, Jerrie Johnson, Tyler Lepley, and more dined on sliders, cocktail shrimp, truffle fries, and chicken tenders dressed with crème fraîche and caviar.

Season three of Harlem is now available to stream on Prime Video and will conclude the run of the comedic drama.
“TV continues to evolve, and we are in a different climate than we were in 2018, when I first sold the show. We were hit with several setbacks, including a pandemic shutdown in the middle of production and a strike and, honestly, surviving all of that is already a major blessing. That said, I’d go for many more seasons if it were up to me. But knowing this was the end going into it, I approached it with that in mind. I wanted everyone’s stories to feel satisfying, even if it’s not what the audience expected,” explained show creator Tracy Oliver.

Cardi B Reveals Her “Uncle Got Deported” During Donald Trump Rant
Cardi shared the family news while venting about Donald Trump's presence at the Super Bowl.
Cardi B‘s recent complaints about Pres. Donald Trump‘s attendance at yesterday’s (Feb. 9) Super Bowl led the “Toot It Up” rapper to reveal a member of her family has been deported.

Following the Philadelphia Eagles wiping out the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22, the mother of three took to social media to share her frustration with the security measures that were in place due to Trump’s attendance.
“Yo, I was too f**king mad today because, you know, Donald Trump and sh*t,” Cardi said in an IG video. “He was at the Super Bowl today and they was giving us a hard time. Oh my gosh. The Secret Service was not playing at that motherf**ker. The Secret Service was not playing to get in that motherf**kin’ stadium. Oh my god.”

She went on to say that the hassle of getting into the arena and to her section resulted in one of her very expensive shoes being damaged. “This shoe cost me three bands,” Cardi said. “All ‘cause of Trump. Now I like him lesser. Now I like him lesser because you didn’t have to go to no damn Super Bowl. Fucking up my shoe. … Now he’s gonna have to, well, he definitely ain’t gon’ do that, bring my uncle. . . back because my uncle got deported.”
The Bronx, New York native of Dominican and Trinidadian descent did not elaborate further on her uncle’s deportation or on her Super Bowl frustrations. See her discuss the incident below.

Since his inauguration, Pres. Trump has implemented deportation policies that have affected thousands of undocumented immigrants, particularly those from Latin countries. Colombian-American actor John Leguizamo recently addressed the mass deportations, calling them “dehumanizing.”
“My immigrant brothers and sisters I know you’re not felons, I know you’re not criminals,” he began before calling Trump’s policies an “attack on Latin immigrants,” adding that the order “dehumanizes the community.”

Celebrities Who Unfollowed Ye Amid His Controversial Social Media Rants

Although Ye has been linked to endless controversies in the past, his most recent rants on X over the last week have been deemed as his worst round of shared revelations yet. Following his appearance on the 2025 Grammys red carpet, the artist formerly known as Kanye West fired off a plethora of posts that included support for Sean “Diddy” Combs” and an unsavory tweet about the late Virgil Abloh. He also called himself a Nazi multiple times and even admitted to domestic abuse.

As a result, many celebrities are unfollowing the 808s & Heartbreak creator, as choosing to do so oftentimes is interpreted as a way to publicly rescind one’s support. Also, as of today (Feb. 10), Ye is not following anybody on X and is only following four people on Instagram: Bianca Censori, Justin Combs, Christian Combs, and Diddy.
Ye’s most recent public appearance was at the aforementioned Grammys event, but he did not step inside the award show itself. Instead, he made headlines because Censori rocked a nearly transparent dress with no undergarments, shocking many onlookers with the bold fashion choice.

Within one of his rants, he addressed the appearance. “I HAVE DOMINION OVER MY WIFE,” Ye posted on X on Friday morning (Feb. 7). “THIS AINT NO WOKE A** FEMINIST SH*T SHES WITH A BILLIONAIRE WHY WOULD SHE LISTEN TO ANY OF YOU DUMB A** BROKE B**HES.”

The 47-year-old also stated that although it was his wife’s choice to step out in the nude look, she wouldn’t have done it without his approval. “PEOPLE SAY THE RED CARPET LOOK WAS HER DECISION YES I DONT MAKE HER DO NOTHING SHE DOESNT WANT TO BUT SHE DEFINITELY WOULDNT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT MY APPROVAL,” he continued to type. “YOU STUPID A WOKE PAWNS I HAVE NO RESPECT OR EMPATHY FOR ANY ONE LIVING CAUSE NO ONE LIVING CAN F*CK WITH ME BUT I DO LOVE SOME PEOPLE AND I GIVE THEM FAVOR.”

Here’s a list of celebrities who have chosen to unfollow Ye.

Colman Domingo Met w/ Marvel To Address Rumors Of Him Replacing Jonathan Majors As Kang?
Colman Domingo is weighing in on what the streets are saying his next major role should be.
If you’re tuned into the Marvel world, you may have heard whispers from fans that Colman Domingo should be selected to replace Jonathan Majors As Kang. As reported, in 2023 Marvel opted to go in a new direction, stepping back from Jonathan Majors and its plans for the character, amid the height of Majors’ domestic violence case involving his ex-girlfriend.

Since then, fans have speculated on who should step in to take over the role, with many suggesting that “Euphoria” star Colman Domingo would be the perfect replacement. It seems that the fandom’s casting selection caught the attention of Marvel, prompting the studio to reportedly hold a meeting with Domingo.

According to Slash Film, Domingo recently spoke on the sit-down, sharing,
“I think there had been conversations of me coming to Marvel in some way. So we [Domingo and his PR team] did follow up with a sit-down meeting with the heads of Marvel. So we did do that, and we talked openly about the landscape of Marvel or even the Kang rumors. But I feel like I want a role to be mine, whatever that role is, whatever I develop. Something didn’t feel right to me, like, ‘Oh, would I replace someone?’ No, I want to build something from the ground up that’s my own.”

Domingo clarified that while he’s unsure if Marvel was actually considering him for Kang, he would love to enter the MCU in a role that allows him to build “from the ground up.”
“I feel like that was never a conversation from my point of view, if I was discussed [to take over Kang]. I still don’t know if I was discussed, but I just know that I would want to build something up from the ground up. So, there’s still talks.”

There have also been rumors of Jonathan Majors possibly making his Marvel return as Kang, however, nothing concerning the role has been confirmed.

GloRilla loses $128K on Super Bowl bet
GloRilla’s rise in the music industry took an unexpected turn following Super Bowl LIX when the Memphis rapper lost $128,000 betting on the Kansas City Chiefs. The significant financial setback has become a talking point within the entertainment industry, highlighting the complex relationship between celebrities and high-stakes gambling. This incident has drawn attention not only to the risks associated with sports betting but also to the broader implications of financial decision-making in the entertainment world.

The Super Bowl LIX betting scene witnessed numerous high-profile wagers, with GloRilla’s six-figure bet standing out among them. The decision to place such a substantial amount on a single game outcome demonstrates the heightened stakes celebrities often engage in during major sporting events. Industry analysts note that this type of high-stakes betting has become increasingly common among entertainment figures, particularly during major sporting events. The practice raises questions about the intersection of celebrity culture, sports entertainment, and gambling behavior. Beyond the immediate financial impact, such high-profile bets often influence public perception and industry relationships.

Fellow artist Megan Thee Stallion’s public acknowledgment of the debt has brought additional attention to the situation. The interaction between these prominent figures in hip-hop has transformed what might have been a private financial matter into a broader conversation about wealth management in the entertainment industry. The incident has prompted discussions about financial accountability and the role of peer relationships in celebrity financial decisions. Many industry veterans have begun advocating for better financial guidance systems within record labels and management companies to prevent similar situations. The ripple effects extend to how record labels approach artist development, with increased emphasis on financial mentorship programs.
The incident has sparked important discussions about financial education within the music industry. Young artists, particularly those experiencing rapid success like GloRilla, often face unique challenges in managing sudden wealth. This situation serves as a catalyst for broader conversations about responsible financial planning in the entertainment sector. Music industry experts emphasize the importance of establishing strong financial foundations early in artists’ careers, including proper investment strategies, risk management, and long-term financial planning. Entertainment industry financial advisors note that sudden influx of wealth without proper management experience, pressure to maintain a certain lifestyle and public image, limited understanding of tax obligations, influence of peer groups, and lack of traditional financial education all contribute to financial difficulties among rising stars.

While financial setbacks are not uncommon in the entertainment industry, the public nature of this loss presents unique challenges for GloRilla’s brand. However, the incident also offers opportunities for growth and potential advocacy roles in responsible gambling awareness. Marketing experts suggest that how an artist handles financial setbacks can significantly influence their long-term career trajectory and public perception. The transparency around such situations can either strengthen or weaken an artist’s connection with their audience, depending on how they address and learn from these experiences. Industry observers note that artists who demonstrate accountability and growth from such situations often emerge with stronger fan relationships and industry respect.

As the artist works to navigate this financial challenge, the industry watches closely to see how she’ll incorporate this experience into her artistic expression and public persona. The situation may influence her upcoming projects and potentially reshape her approach to financial decision-making. Industry insiders suggest that this incident could lead to positive changes in how the music industry approaches financial education for emerging artists. The impact of this event extends beyond personal finances, potentially influencing future contract negotiations, industry-wide discussions about artist financial education, development of new financial guidance programs, changes in management team approaches to wealth preservation, and evolution of artist-brand partnerships and endorsement deals.

SZA Facing Lip-Syncing Accusations After Super Bowl Halftime Show With Kendrick Lamar
SZA, real name Solána Imani Rowe, stirred up debate following her Super Bowl 2025 performance with Kendrick Lamar. The "SOS" artist is accused of lip-syncing during the halftime show when delivering "Luther" and "All the Stars."

One user commented, "SZA lip sync was soo obvious." Another gave a more detailed review of the overall performance, "The mix was TERRIBLE. If you listen back to it on Apple Music now, they fixed the mix. Dot was mumbling and the mic level was way too low. Also, SZA was all lip sync."
Besides SZA, K. Dot also enlisted Samuel L. Jackson to introduce his entrance and Serena Williams as a surprise dancer during "Not Like Us" delivery. Both SZA and Serena used to date Drake who is currently embroiled in a public spat with Dot.

Jodie Turner-Smith Accuses Joshua Jackson of Demanding Sole Custody
Jodie Turner-Smith is taking legal action. Less than two months after the Queen and Slim actress accused ex Joshua Jackson of not paying adequate child support for their 4-year-old daughter Juno, she has filed a petition in court demanding her support demands to be met, also accusing him of seeking sole custody for their daughter.

In documents filed Feb. 3 obtained by E! News, Jodie claims that Joshua has paid “$0 in guideline child/or spousal support” since the couple’s 2023 separation, adding, “even though, he, at the onset of this case, hired two law firms to represent him on custody issues, seeking full legal custody of Juno.”

The 38-year-old—who was married to Joshua from 2019 to 2023, welcoming Juno in 2020—added that she has done “everything” she can to meet him halfway on their issues, “to no avail.”
“At this point, it is clear that Josh is unwilling to negotiate reasonable pendente lite spousal and child support payments to me,” Jodie wrote in the filing. “I am left with no choice but to seek this Court’s intervention and file the instant motion.”
Jodie is seeking $8,543 per month in child support, as well as $28,641 per month in spousal support. The Agency actress is also demanding that the 46-year-old pay her a retroactive $250,000 for fees accrued amid their ongoing legal battle.

And Jodie went on to explain why she believes she deserves the payments from Josh.
“During our marriage, I spent a significant amount of time as the primary caretaker to Juno while Josh continued to advance in his acting career,” Jodie alleged elsewhere in the documents. “Josh has been a successful working actor for over thirty years, while I am significantly younger and am still working hard to establish my acting career. During our marriage, Josh historically made more money than me and at times, significantly more.”
Jodie’s filing comes after her initial request for the same monetary demands in December.

In that filing, Jodie claimed that Josh had, “promised to always support me and ensured me that I would not have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever separated because he said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother.”

Black American Woman Returns to New York After Bizarre Ordeal in Pakistan

Onijah Andrew Robinson, a 33-year-old woman from the United States, has reportedly returned to New York after a bizarre ordeal in Pakistan that went viral and captivated social media.
Robinson traveled to Karachi in October 2024, following an online relationship with 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon. She had hoped to marry him, but upon meeting, Memon rejected her. His family, especially his mother, was not pleased with Robinson’s arrival and even locked her out of their home. Afterward, the family disappeared without a trace, SandraRose.com reports.

Robinson’s stay in Pakistan became even more chaotic when she refused to leave. She allegedly camped outside Memon’s apartment and began holding press conferences, making strange claims, including that she was from Pakistan and pregnant with Memon’s child. She demanded $100,000 from the Pakistani government, stating that she wanted to help “rebuild Karachi.” Her demands escalated, with her asking for an upfront payment of $20,000 and $5,000 to $10,000 each week.

“I want 20K up front, 5K-10K to stay here every week, and I want those demands from the government right away”, she said in videos on TikTok.
Eventually, local authorities allegedly escorted Robinson to the airport, ensuring she boarded a plane back to the U.S. During the ordeal, Robinson was briefly admitted to a psychiatric ward for evaluation, as her son Jeremiah later revealed that she had struggled with mental health issues.

“My mother traveled to Pakistan to meet a man and his family. She was supposed to return within two weeks, but she never came back,” Jeremiah said.
According to Betches.com, “Onijah had catfished Nidal using filters that made her look like a blonde white woman,” the outlet writes.

Despite her tourist visa expiring in November, Robinson was not initially forced to leave the country. The governor of Sindh province had granted her a humanitarian visa, which expires on February 11. During this period, she remained under the care of philanthropist Ramzan Chhipa, who had been assisting her in trying to arrange a flight home.
Robinson remained adamant about staying in Pakistan amid her family’s attempts to bring her home. Her case sparked conversations about mental health and the impact of untreated disorders.

Wendy Williams’ Son Kevin Hunter Jr. Faces Eviction Again in Miami
Kevin Hunter Jr., son of former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams, has found himself in another housing controversy. According to reports, Kevin, 24, was threatened with eviction from his Miami apartment last month, marking the second time he has faced eviction proceedings at this address and at least the third time during his time living in Florida.

Court records reveal that Kevin failed to pay his $3,731 monthly rent for January, accumulating a total debt of $4,316. On January 7, the property’s management served him with a notice to pay or vacate the premises. By January 28, eviction proceedings were officially initiated. However, the situation seemed to resolve quickly, as the property ownership company filed for a voluntary dismissal on February 3, indicating that Kevin likely paid his overdue rent in full.

A source close to the family shared with The U.S. Sun, “Kevin really needs to get his s**t together. He is a grown man, and there’s no excuse for him not paying his rent.”
This isn’t the first time Kevin has faced challenges in maintaining his housing. Three years ago, he was evicted from another Miami condo. His latest financial misstep adds another layer to the public scrutiny surrounding Wendy Williams and her family.

As Wendy continues her recovery journey following health struggles and the end of The Wendy Williams Show, her son’s repeated issues with stability raise questions about his personal responsibility and independence. Fans hope he can turn things around and avoid further housing troubles in the future.

Jalen Hurts Wore Custom ‘Banned’ Cleats in Super Bowl LIX Pregame

As Jalen Hurts prepared for Super Bowl LIX, his custom PE cleats carry a message as bold as his game: Greatness is unbannable.
The Jumpman logo, a symbol of excellence that transcends sports and culture, continues to redefine boundaries—from the hardwood to the gridiron. Inspired by Michael Jordan’s relentless pursuit of greatness, Hurts embodies that same mindset, proving that true champions refuse to accept limits.

With Jordan Brand expanding its influence into new arenas, these exclusive cleats serve as more than just footwear—they represent a legacy. From one man’s gravity-defying dominance on the court to a global movement that fuels the next generation, the message remains the same: You can’t ban greatness.

Donald Trump to Impose 25% Tariffs on Steel and Aluminum Imports Starting Monday
Donald Trump has announced that a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum will be unveiled on Monday, impacting all countries importing these materials into the United States.
“Any steel coming into the United States is going to have a 25 percent tariff—aluminum too,” Trump stated. “25 percent… for both.”
Beyond steel and aluminum, he hinted at broader trade measures, including tariffs on semiconductor chips, pharmaceuticals, and energy sectors. On reciprocal tariffs, Trump emphasized fairness.

“Very simply, if they charge us, we charge them,” he explained. “A reciprocal tariff where a country pays so much or charges us so much and we do the same… that’s the only fair way to do it.”
The reciprocal tariffs will be detailed in a press conference on Tuesday or Wednesday and will take effect “almost immediately.”
Trump’s hardline trade stance follows his 10% tariff on China imposed on February 1st. However, he granted Canada and Mexico a temporary one-month delay after discussions with their leaders.

Days ago, Trump stood by his decision to impose hefty tariffs on the U.S.’s biggest trading partners, admitting there could be “some pain” but insisting the measure was essential for the country.
