#MAGFAB: Zoë Kravitz’ by Collier Schorr in ELLE US March 2025!

The talented actor/director Zoë Kravitz covers the March 2025 issue of ELLE US [IG]. Stella Greenspan styles Kravitz in ‘The Unshakable Confidence of Zoë Kravitz’ lensed by Collier Schorr [IG]./ Hair by Nikki Nelms; makeup by Nina Park
Brands include Alaïa, Bode, Guest in Residence, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent, The Row, Cou Cou Intimates and more.
Tyler McCall catches up with Zoë Kravitz at DIMES, in New York City’s Dimes Square, “a micro-neighborhood on the border of Chinatown and the Lower East Side” preferred by “artistic tastemakers”. Kravitz, who has juggled her personal life on two coasts plus Miami for decades, has come to love New York City.
“I feel like I’m part of something when I’m here,” she says. “Some people find it chaotic, but I find it calming, and I find myself fed by the energy of the city. This is a place where I can be alone, but not feel alone. It’s an incredibly special place, and I find it really inspiring. It’s not as segregated as other cities, and you’re around really different kinds of people, with different kinds of interests. Even the sound. And people go, ‘It’s noisy.’ I’m like, ‘I find it comforting.’ ”
Kravitz’s movie ‘Blink Twice’, where she debuted as director, is behind her. The ending is now public, and it was bone-chilling, to put it mildly. It’s a good day when women are directing films this ‘deadly’ with a MeToo perspective.
Kravitz cautions people to look at the film as a story about power dynamics in general, and not only through the MeToo lens of the film. Power corrupts, says Kravitz, implying that we don’t really know how we will behave until we know what it is to have great power ourselves.

Kravitz will appear opposite Austin Butler in Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Caught Steeling’, out Aug. 29, 2025.

#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Gets Honest About Her Marriage to Todd Tucker Today: "We Push Each Other"
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker's marriage is still going super strong. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum has been married to her husband for almost 11 years, and is now sharing the secret to why their marriage works.
Several businesses and two kids together later, Kandi and Todd's relationship is indestructible, and there's a reason for this. Kandi spoke to People on Feb. 27, where she candidly spoke about their marriage, and how they're able to keep things exciting, while also holding each other accountable in their careers. "I think my husband and I, we support each other's dreams, and we push each other," she explained.

"We always have fun," she continued. "Now I work hard but I play hard, so I think we are both like that. And [we] really love family and all of that. So that's what keeps us connected."
Todd was also instrumental in helping Kandi decide if she wanted to step away from RHOA after Season 15. The "Don't Think I'm Not" singer had joined the cast of RHOA in Season 2 and been sharing her life for 13 seasons before deciding to start a new chapter in her life.

"For the last couple of years, couple of seasons, [Todd] and I, you know, we would go back and forth, like you know, 'Is this our time? Is this our time?' But this particular season was my contract year, so basically I was able to make the choice for myself instead of them just picking up my option," Kandi told Extra in November. "So, he and I just really kind of sat and was like, 'OK, what do we want to do?'"

Rest assured, things between Kandi and Todd are very good. Kandi spoke with Us Weekly in April 2024, where she admitted that her oldest daughter (from a previous relationship), Riley Burruss, had told her that there were rumors that she was divorcing Todd. But, Kandi was quick to shut those down. "Riley actually sent it to me," she admitted at the time. "She was like, 'Why do people keep saying that y'all about to get divorced?' I was like, 'I don't know.'"

Kandi continued, pointing out that they are with each other all the time and even addressed why she doesn't always wear her wedding ring. "Today I do," she pointed out. "But they'll be like, 'Why doesn't she have on her ring?' I hardly ever have it on. He always has his on. If he doesn't have it on — then it's going to be a problem. That's going to be a problem."

#NewMusic from Lizzo Is Back With ‘Love In Real Life’

To say that Lizzo has had a rough couple of years would be an understatement. The singer, who last gave us musical joy with her 2022 album Special, suffered a bit of backlash on social media that was capped with a vicious harassment lawsuit brought by former backup dancers. It seems that the star has weathered those storms, however, and is ready to reintroduce herself with a new era. And she does just that with a bit of an edge on her latest single “Love In Real Life.”

The singer strays from the R&B and hip-hop vein most people are used to from her on this track. She tries a bit of rock and roll on for size as she faces her trepidation about finding love. As guitars strum and drums aggressively keep the tempo, the singer navigates stepping back onto the scene with a bit of liquid courage — and she’s doing so with attitude.
“Hey, ho, hey, ho / Give me something with a little tempo / Hey, ho, hey, ho / Give me something I can throw it back for,” she howls on the chorus. “By the end of the world, by the еnd of the night / Baby, come over hеre, I need love in real life.”

LISTEN AND WATCH HERE:
She gets very cinematic in the song’s accompanying video, as well. It begins with Lizzo crying in front of the mirror as she does some soul searching. She’s soon out of the house and ready to hit the club, hopping in the car and then eventually taking over the dance floor. While things are fun, they soon get a little weird and send the star running to the streets. That’s where she pays tribute to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video as dancers in frightful makeup join her in a dance-off before the visual comes to an end.

#HipHopNews: Rick Ross Fires Back At Freeway Ricky Ross Over ‘gay’ Taunt

Rick Ross has responded to a shot taken at him by the man from whom he took his rap name, mocking “Freeway” Rick Ross as a “gangsta informant” in a recent social media comment.
On Sunday (March 2), 2Cool2Blog shared video from the Gervonta Davis/Lamont Roach boxing match in Brooklyn the day before, taken from YouTuber Peaks100’s vlog of his experience.

The video showed Peaks100 meeting boxer Ra-leek Born, who subsequently introduces Peaks to his manager, “Freeway” Rick Ross.
“You the real Ricky Rozay?” the YouTuber asks Ross, referring to a nickname used by the rapping Rick Ross.
“Ross,” the original Ross replied. “Rozay sound gay.”
Rick Ross (the rapper) jumped into the post’s comments, writing: “The gangsta informant [laughing emoji] still lerks @freewayricky !! Go put on a suit peon.”

“Freeway” Rick Ross is a former drug lord who “presided over a huge drug empire in Los Angeles” and was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1996 for purchasing over 100 kilos of cocaine from an undercover officer. He was released from prison in 2009.
Rick Ross took his rap name from the former drug kingpin, and the two have had issues over the years, with the older Ross even suing the rapper (unsuccessfully) over the use of his name.

Ricky Rozay has, in addition to feuding with his naming inspiration, also been going back and forth with 50 Cent lately.
Last month, he resumed taking shots at 50 by announcing that he wants to make his own movie about the Black Mafia Family.
50 is currently an executive producer on the STARZ series BMF, but has recently fallen out with Black Mafia Family co-founder Big Meech, as well as his son and star of the show, Lil Meech — partly due to their association with Rozay.

In a video posted to his Instagram Story on February 6, the MMG mogul disparaged his nemesis’ “lackluster” TV show and revealed plans to upstage it with a “big-budget” production.
“I wanna do a BMF film because you’ve been entertained by a lackluster, small-budget series. Now it’s time to do a big-budget film,” he said.
Ross then pondered who he could tap to direct the potential film, floating a few names: “Shout out to my homie F. Gary Gray. Antoine Fuqua, what’s up? [Quentin] Tarantino… there’s a lot of legends. This is gonna be big, I can feel it.”

Teyana Taylor And Aaron Pierre Seemingly Confirm Relationship With Oscars Photos
Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre are turning heads and setting social media ablaze following their latest photoshoot.
Just one day (March 3) after the star-studded 2025 Oscars and Vanity Fair afterparty, Taylor took to Instagram to share a series of sleek, monochrome snapshots featuring herself and the Mufasa actor.

“Oscar night in black & white, no grey area. [white heart],” she captioned the post of the two standing close and exuding undeniable chemistry. She also set the tone with SZA’s “Take You Down” soundtracking the post. On the other hand, Pierre opted for mystery, sharing the same images on his Instagram without adding a single word.

Aside from the photo, the pair’s Vanity Fair afterparty appearance was just as buzzworthy as they posed alongside Niecy Nash and her wife, Jessica Betts — fueling speculation that something more than friendship is brewing between them.
However, that wasn’t the first time Taylor and Pierre have been spotted together.
The two also attended the American Black Film Festival Honors back in February, where Pierre was honored with the Rising Star award. Cameras captured them in deep conversation at their table, further igniting rumors about a romance.
Though Pierre has kept his personal life pretty private, Taylor has been more open about her past relationships.

The multi-hyphenate star finalized her divorce from former NBA player Iman Shumpert in January 2023 following seven years of marriage. Despite the split, she assured fans that their bond remained strong, particularly when it comes to co-parenting their daughters, 9-year-old Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr. and 4-year-old Rue Rose Shumpert.

“We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our two beautiful children,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
As for Pierre, his quiet sex appeal and charm has made him an “overnight” internet heartthrob.
During a visit to The Jennifer Hudson Show earlier this year, the 30-year-old went viral when he strutted through J Hud’s “spirit tunnel.”

Pierre was all smiles, soaking in the infectious energy of the crew, as they chanted, “Aaron Pierre, that’s Mufasa.” Dressed in black pants, a blue T-shirt, and a matching leather jacket, he turned the hallway into his personal runway, syncing his every step with the beat of the crew’s handclaps.
Since then, Pierre’s “spirit walk” has gone viral with fans drooling over the moment and others recreating it.

Tony Todd’s Wife Upset With Oscars After Late Actor’s Omission From In Memoriam Segment
The Academy Awards is facing backlash from Tony Todd’s family and friends after the late Candyman star was noticeably absent from its In Memoriam tribute. The perceived snub has left his widow, Fatima Cortez-Todd, both furious and disappointed.
Speaking to TMZ, Fatima expressed she was “angry” over the omission and questioned the Academy’s decision-making process. She also pointed out that his extensive Hollywood career spans over 250 film and TV credits—a resume that surely warranted his inclusion.

“[She] feels like people of color and women are often ignored as much as possible when it comes time for the Academy to honor the dead,” the outlet reported. Given that Tony was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for 30 years, she says his absence from the tribute simply “wasn’t adding up.”
While the Oscars are no stranger to In Memoriam snubs, Fatima insisted that Todd wasn’t the only deserving artist left out this year. She argued that the Academy should prioritize honoring industry legends over certain broadcast segments that could be cut to make room for more tributes. In contrast, Fatima recalled the SAG Awards giving him a fitting tribute that used one of his best photos.

Todd’s longtime rep, Jeffrey Goldberg, also weighed, in revealing he’s been flooded with calls and emails from friends and colleagues outraged by the omission.
“I’ll just say that I’m disappointed that Tony was forgotten,” he said. “The Academy might want to reconsider the way they do this section of the broadcast because although it is great that they remember some of those we’ve lost in the past year, they often forget others that should be honored. Tony was my friend and client for over 30 years, and I’m just sad that he wasn’t given the honor that he deserved.”

Tony Todd passed away from natural causes at his Marina Del Rey home in November 2024. He was 69.
In a bittersweet revelation, Fatima shared a memory that came about right before her husband passed. She revealed that Todd had held on just long enough to cast his vote for Kamala Harris in the presidential election. When he found out she lost, he passed away that same night. “He said if she didn’t win, he wanted out,” she shared.

Jay-Z is suing his former accuser

Jay-Z has now filed a defamation lawsuit in Alabama against the unknown female who accused him and Diddy of drugging and raping her before dropping the case.

This is Jay-Z’s second lawsuit This is in addition to the civil suit that Jay-Z filed against attorney Tony Buzbee in Los Angeles County in which the judge says is strong enough to proceed to trial.
In this latest suit, which was obtained by Variety, Jay-Z states that the allegations were knowingly “false” and “malicious,” and were “strategically and tactically calculated and timed to inflict maximum pain and suffering on Mr. Carter.”

Jay-Z claims the accuser admitted to him that she lied
Jay-Z claims that Doe admitted to him that the lawsuit was fabricated.
“Doe has now voluntarily admitted directly to representatives of Mr. Carter that the story brought before the world in court and on global television was just that: a false, malicious story,” Jay-Z claims in the legal documents obtained by Rolling Stone. “She has admitted that Mr. Carter did not assault her; and that indeed it was Buzbee himself – whom she met for the first time at a coffee shop in Houston on the day of her maliciously false NBC News interview – who pushed her to go forward with the false narrative of the assault by Mr. Carter in order to leverage a maximum payday.”

Buzbee dismisses Jay-Z’s suit in a statement to Rolling Stone.
“This new case which alleges the same thing as another one he pieces together and filed in Los Angeles also has no legal merit. Shawn Carter’s investigators have repeatedly harassed, threatened and harangued this poor woman for weeks trying to intimidate her and make her recant her story. She won’t. Instead she has stated repeatedly she stands by her claims. These same group of investigators have been caught on tape offering to pay people to sue me and my firm. This is just another attempt to intimidate and bully this poor woman that we will deal with in due course. We won’t be bullied or intimidated by frivolous cases.”

Before dropping her case, Doe claimed she was 13 when Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly conspired to drug and rape her at an afterparty following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000. She is now 37 years old.

Chris Rock hints at forgiveness after 2022 Oscars slap
The 2022 Oscars will forever be etched in the minds of fans and industry insiders alike, primarily due to the shocking incident where Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage. The altercation stemmed from a joke Rock made about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, which touched on her bald head, a result of her struggle with alopecia.

During the Oscars ceremony, Rock joked, “Jada, I love ya. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” referencing the 1997 film starring Demi Moore, who famously shaved her head military-style for the role. The joke did not sit well with Smith, who walked up to the stage and slapped Rock, demanding he keep his wife’s name out of his mouth. This moment not only overshadowed Smith’s first Oscar win for his role in King Richard but also led to a 10-year ban from the Academy Awards for Smith.

Rock’s journey toward forgiveness
Fast forward to the present, and Rock seems to be embracing a mindset of forgiveness. At a recent Vanity Fair party, he was asked if he would consider hosting another award show. Rock responded thoughtfully, stating, “You never know. The most miserable people on earth are people that can’t forgive. And not just people, you have to forgive yourself sometimes.” His words suggest a willingness to move past the incident, emphasizing that true love starts with forgiveness.

Public reactions and speculations
Rock’s comments have sparked a variety of reactions from fans and commentators. Some have expressed skepticism about his potential return to hosting duties, with one fan commenting, “Maybe this time he won’t make a joke about someone’s sick wife!” Others have suggested that the Academy should consider a host with charisma instead of relying on comedy routines.
Despite the public’s mixed feelings, Rock’s stance on forgiveness indicates a significant shift in his perspective. His brother, Tony Rock, however, remains protective, stating, “That sh-t ain’t f-cking over,” signaling that tensions may still linger beneath the surface.

Will Smith’s apology and its aftermath
In the months following the slap, Smith issued a public apology to Rock via video, which Rock did not accept at the time. This refusal to accept the apology highlights the complexity of their relationship and the emotional weight of the incident. However, Rock’s recent comments suggest that he may be open to reconciliation, which could pave the way for a more amicable relationship between the two.

The bigger picture: Forgiveness in the spotlight
The incident at the Oscars serves as a reminder of the importance of forgiveness, not just in personal relationships but also in public life. As Rock continues to navigate his career post-slap, his focus on forgiveness may resonate with many who have faced their own challenges in forgiving others or themselves.

In a world where public figures often find themselves embroiled in controversy, Rock’s journey towards forgiveness could serve as an inspiring narrative for others. It highlights the idea that while mistakes can lead to significant fallout, the path to healing often begins with the willingness to forgive.

Texas Rapper G$ Lil Ronnie And 5-Year-Old Daughter Killed In Car Wash Shooting
An unfortunate tragedy struck in North Texas this week. Local rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his five-year-old daughter were killed during a shooting at a car wash.
The police reported that two suspects opened fire at a car wash in Forest Hill, a suburb located 30 miles west of Dallas, before 11 a.m. local time on Monday (Mar. 3). Authorities rushed to the scene and attempted to save both victims’ lives; they were unsuccessful as both Ronnie, real name Ronnie Smith, and his daughter were pronounced dead at the scene.

Upon conducting a preliminary investigation, the Forest Hill Police Department determined that the suspects left the scene of the crime in a white four-door Kia after encroaching upon Ronnie’s car and firing shots. A witness claimed that they heard 20 to 30 gunshots, per a report from KTVT. The suspects’ names have yet to be shared, but there is a capital murder warrant out for their arrest.

“He was a good kid. He was,” Stella Houston, G$ Lil Ronnie’s aunt, told WFAA. “He didn’t bother [nobody].” Weeks ago, the 30-year-old rapper shared an Instagram post showing him attending a Valentine’s Day celebration at his daughter’s school. They invited her classmate to be their Valentine since her parents could not be there.
“My BabyGirl Couldn’t Stand The Fact Her Friend Was Sad,” he wrote in the caption. “This Morning Her Daddy Couldn’t Make it to Donuts With Daddy This Morning So Yu Know We Let Her kno it’s Ok 2 Join us & She Can Snap it Up & That Changed her Whole Mood *heart emojis* My Lil Valentines Literally.”

Ronnie hadn’t released any new music so far in 2025, but had an active 2024 with a slew of singles. VIBE sends its sincerest condolences to G$ Lil Ronnie’s family, friends, loved ones, fans, and all who were impacted by this tragedy.

Dolly Parton Mourning The Death Of Her Husband Carl Dean
Carl Dean, the devoted husband of music icon Dolly Parton for nearly 60 years, has passed away at the age of 82. His death was announced by the singer as she expressed her profound grief and gratitude for the outpouring of sympathy they have received.
"Carl and I spent so many wonderful years together. Words can't do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy," Parton wrote.

Dean passed away in Nashville, Tennessee, and will be laid to rest in a private ceremony attended by immediate family. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
The couple's enduring bond was a cornerstone of both their personal lives and Parton's music career. The love story between Parton and Dean began in a most unexpected place - the Wishy Washy Laundromat, on the day she moved to Nashville at the age of 18.

Reflecting on their first meeting, Parton said, "I was surprised and delighted that while he talked to me, he looked at my face (a rare thing for me). He seemed to be genuinely interested in finding out who I was and what I was about."
They tied the knot two years later on May 30, 1966, in a small ceremony in Ringgold, Georgia. In 2016, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, the couple renewed their vows.

Dean was a businessman who owned an asphalt-paving company in Nashville. Despite Parton's global fame, the couple maintained a relatively private life. Dean, being the private individual he was, rarely accompanied Parton to public events.

Doja Cat Breaks Silence Amid Criticisms Over Her James Bond Tribute Performance At Oscars 2025
Doja Cat addressed the mixed reactions to her performance at this year's Oscars, where she, Raye, and Lisa paid tribute to the James Bond franchise with a medley of classic 007 themes. The performance, which included a surprise cameo by actress Margaret Qualley, has been a hot topic among fans and critics alike.
Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, Doja Cat said, "I put a lot of work into [singing 'Diamonds are Forever'], but the nerves got to me and a b***h hit some flats."

She emphasized that stepping out of her comfort zone to tackle such a celebrated song was a bold move. "I never get to sing like that and what I did was brave and scary as f**k for me," she wrote.
For Doja Cat, the experience, despite the critiques, was a positive one. "I know a lot of people didn't like it, but a lot of people did, and I feel good that I pushed myself," she explained.

Her gratitude for the opportunity was evident as she reflected, "What a blessing that was. I feel amazing about the whole thing." She also praised her fellow performers by asserting, "All the girls chewed down last night God BLESS them all. Absolutely gorgeous performances from everyone."

Similarly, Raye acknowledged the challenges she faced performing Adele's "Skyfall." She admitted, "Was sooo nervous to sing this song because no one can sing Adele like Adele, but I tried my very best."
Despite her anxiety, Raye expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, saying, "I am just so grateful to the Oscars Academy for this invitation to sing on this stage." She received support from fellow artists like Jazmine Sullivan, who praised her by stating, "U always kill it Raye!!," and Paloma Faith, who added, "Stuns huns."

Lisa, who performed "Live and Let Die," has yet to publicly comment on her performance. However, her presence added star power to the tribute.
The segment sparked debates online, with some questioning the relevance of the tribute to the Bond franchise. Critics pointed out that the artists had no direct connections to the 007 movies and speculated that the segment's inclusion was partly due to Amazon's recent acquisition of the franchise.

Despite the debate and nerve-wracking nature of performing such iconic songs in front of an audience filled with Hollywood's elite, Doja Cat, Raye, and Lisa delivered memorable performances that have left a lasting impression. Their courage in stepping up to the challenge resonates with young people who understand the pressures of performing under high expectations.

Lyle And Erik Menendez's Upcoming Court Hearing Postponed Amid Brothers' Ongoing Bid For Freedom

A previously scheduled court hearing for Erik and Lyle Menendez that was initially set for later this month has been postponed.
The two-day hearing had been expected to be held on March 20 and 21. A new date was not immediately announced.
Last week, Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered the state parole board to investigate whether the brothers would pose a risk to the public if they are released after nearly three decades in prison for the 1989 killing of their parents.

Family of Menendez brothers react after Newsom orders risk assessment of possible release
On Tuesday, Lyle Menendez wrote on social media: "The resentencing hearing set for this month will not occur. Everyone involved recognizes the importance of waiting for the results of the Risk Assessment, as initiated by Governor Newsom.

"Hang tight, keep the faith," Lyle Menendez added. The brothers are pursuing multiple avenues to win their freedom: Clemency from Newsom, a resentencing hearing, and a new trial. Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman said last month that he opposes a new trial for the brothers, but he hasn't made up his mind on whether to support a resentencing bid that could lead to their freedom. Newsom has said he will not make a clemency decision until Hochman finishes reviewing the case.

The proposed resentencing for the brothers would make them immediately eligible for parole.
The brothers were found guilty in the murders of their entertainment executive father, Jose, and their mother, Kitty Menendez, and sentenced to life in prison without parole. They began their latest bid for freedom in recent years after their attorneys said new evidence of their father's sexual abuse emerged, and they have the support of most of their extended family.

Hochman said he has filed an informal response urging the Los Angeles County Superior Court to reject a habeas petition filed by the brothers' attorneys in 2023 that seeks a reexamination of their case that centers in part on the allegations that Jose Menendez sexually abused Erik Menendez.

Gabourey Sidibe Says Her Husband Doesn’t ‘Play’ About Checking Her Haters: ‘He’ll Beef With His Grandma About Me’
While chatting with PEOPLE on the red carpet at ESSENCE’s Black Women In Hollywood Awards ceremony on Feb. 27, the 41-year-old actress revealed that her hubby will go to great lengths to protect her from haters in real life and from social media trolls online.
“…Come down here right now. If you step on my dress, he will be here,” Sidibe revealed. “Like, he’s in a feud with a lot of things. I have to be careful about telling him that somebody gave me an attitude because he’ll write them off forever. He’ll beef with his grandma about me. And I deserve it. And I love him so much and I would beef with a lot of people for him too,” she added.

Frankel Clapped Back At A Troll Who Described Gabourey Sidibe As Looking “homeless” In 2024
Frankel showed he wasn’t the one to mess with on Instagram in November 2024 when he flamed an internet troll for comparing his wife to a “homeless” person. The sweet husband shared an adorable family photo of Sidibe playing with their two twins, Cooper and Maya, at home, when the internet bully disrespected him.

In response to the shady comment, Frankel clapped back, “Disrespectfully, I know you ain’t talking,” telling the naysayer to “go find a therapist asap, you’re unwell.” The fearless husband also corrected the internet bully on their grammar.

“And it’s *you’re, genius,” he penned.
Proud of her hubby, Sidibe applauded her husband for taking out the miserable keyboard warrior.
“Oh s**t! I was not even aware of this exchange. My man knows I like to mind my business about what people say about me.  He gathers and keeps it to himself. A considerate King,” she commented at the time on X.

Sidibe and Frankel’s romance blossomed unexpectedly when they connected on the elite dating app Raya. After getting engaged in November 2020, just four months later, the couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony. By April 2024, they joyfully welcomed their twins, Cooper and Maya, who will celebrate their first birthday next month.

Sidibe told PEOPLE that when she first met Frankel, sparks didn’t fly instantly.
“Our first date, literally for the first six dates, as we were leaving, I’d say, ‘Okay, goodbye forever,’” she laughed. “I never intended to see him again. And now he’s at the house.”

Now, the American Horror Story star can’t see her life without her husband.
“When you talk about radical love, what I realize was — and it’s going to sound selfish — but I realized that I liked who I was when I was with him. I liked the ways that I got to grow through loving him and being loved by him. I did not know that the person who I am today existed. And she only exists because of how much he loves me. Isn’t that crazy? I would have punched myself in the face 10 years ago. My husband’s the guy, just that guy.”

Congrats to Gabourey Sidibe and Brandon Frankel!

Jimmy Butler Faces Lawsuit over Unpaid Rent and Property Damage in Miami

*NBA star Jimmy Butler is facing a lawsuit from Five Star Marketing and Promotions Inc.
The company claims that Butler rented a home in Miami during his time with the Heat and owes over $250,000 in unpaid rent while leaving the property with significant damage. He also allegedly changed the locks, and prevented the property owner and maintenance workers from accessing the home, AOL.com reports.

Additionally, the lawsuit cites property damage including mold on the ceilings and floors due to Butler neglecting to maintain the air conditioning unit. The property is valued at approximately $10 million. Butler has yet to comment on the legal matter.
In related news, Butler, recently traded from the Miami Heat to the Warriors, launched his coffee brand, BIGFACE, in Miami’s Design District. He first came up with the idea for the company during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the NBA’s 2020 season in the Orlando bubble, Butler launched BIGFACE, selling $20 cups of espresso from his hotel room.  In December, he opened the first physical location of his coffee brand in Miami.
“Being in the bubble, all you had was hoop, hoop, and more hoop,” Butler, who spent six seasons with the Heat, told NBC News. “[Bigface] was just an experiment at the time. It was some coffee with a bunch of sugar in it. We get out the bubble, and I’m like, ‘Man, I miss those days sitting around, making coffee, and having conversations. Why can’t I do that every day?’”

Butler celebrated his coffee brand with a launch party attended by stars like Carmelo Anthony, DJ Khaled, and Paul Pogba.

Venus Williams Flashes Diamond Ring While Out with Rumored Fiancé Andrea Preti
Venus Williams is continuing to fuel engagement rumors with Andrea Preti.
On Monday, March 3, the seven-time Grand Slam champion, 44, was photographed at a hotel in Milan, Italy, with the actor, 36.
As Preti helped her with her bags, the diamond on her ring finger was on full display.

Williams and the actor were first spotted together getting cozy on an Italian vacation in July 2024, but the sparkler made its public debut when the pair were seen outside of a tennis training session in Rome in early February.

Close-up photos of the jewel showed what appeared to be a square-cut diamond in the middle of a pavé-set.
While outside at the training facility at the time, Williams was all smiles as Preti gave her a sweet kiss on her cheek.
The sports star, who was last linked to financier Nicholas (Nicky) Hammond before the former couple parted ways in 2019, opened up to Glamour UK in their October 2022 issue about her relationship status.

"I've had a single life for a long time and I think it's really easy to get stuck in a single life and sometimes – at least for me – harder to get out," she told the outlet. "It makes you think about yourself and what you want and how to behave."
Williams added, "This is how I work and function, and I’m okay with it.”
“When life changes, you’ve got to know when to change. You can’t hold on to either a relationship or the singleness. You have to be able to move at the time – and even if you don’t want to or aren’t ready, you’ve just got to go with it,” she continued.

More recently, Williams and Preti, whose acting credits include the Italian television series A Professor and the film One More Day, were seen spending time together at the Dsquared2 Fall/Winter 2025 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week in late February.
WWD posted a video to Instagram of the two showing off some PDA at the event.
“@venuswilliams and @andreapreti88 share a peck while taking pictures at the @dsquared2 photo call for tonight’s fall 2025 runway show in Milan,” the outlet captioned the clip.
Williams and Preti have been keeping the public guessing on whether or not they are engaged.
For the Milan Fashion Week appearance, the athlete seemed to wear a different ring to the outing.

Williams was also photographed at Dior's Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2025 show in Paris on Jan. 27 where she wore a gold band on her left ring finger.

Beyoncé Pays Tribute to Angie Stone’s ‘Incredible Legacy’ After R&B Icon’s Death

Beyoncé is tipping her cap to Angie Stone after the 63-year-old R&B icon’s sudden death over the weekend.
Shortly after her family announced that she’d died in a car crash Saturday (March 1), a black-and-white photo of Stone went up on Beyoncé’s website along with a personal tribute. “Thank you for your voice, your strength and your artistry,” reads the message.

“Your incredible legacy will live on forever,” it continues. “Rest in peace, Angie Stone.”
Stone was traveling with her band from Alabama to Atlanta on Friday (Feb. 28) when her van flipped and was hit “by a big rig” at around 4 a.m., according to a statement shared with Billboard the following day. While the “No More Rain (In This Cloud)” singer died in the accident, everyone else in the vehicle survived.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Stone started out in music as part of the female rap trio The Sequence. She later embarked on a solo career, scoring several albums in the top 10 of the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The musician logged a total of three songs on the Billboard Hot 100: 1999’s “No More Rain,” 2001’s “Brotha” and 2002’s “Wish I Didn’t Miss You.”

In 2003, Stone played Alma in the film The Fighting Temptations, in which Beyoncé starred.
The Ivy Park founder is currently gearing up to embark on her highly anticipated Cowboy Carter Tour. At the beginning of February, she took home album of the year for her Billboard 200-topping LP Cowboy Carter along with best country album and best country duo/group performance for “II Most Wanted” with Miley Cyrus.
