#FASHIONFAB! Ralph Lauren Brings Polo 67 & Polo Red To The Hamptons
For spring 2025, Ralph Lauren planted its stakes in the Hamptons, weaving a vision of formal polish and casual ease across wide lawns and salt-kissed air. Extending that campaign, Ralph Lauren now brings its signature scents into the picture, presenting Polo 67 and Polo Red in a continuation of the story.

What began with double-breasted jackets and striped shirting now deepens with a spirit of laid-back adventure, where the sun sets later, bikes lean in the grass, and the scent of summer lingers just a little longer.
Models Akbar Shamji and Salomon Diaz lead Ralph Lauren’s new chapter, embodying the dual personality of the fragrances. Polo 67 arrives with bright momentum, layering citrus, bergamot, and vetiver in a blend as fresh as a morning ride along Dune Road.
Polo Red strikes a bolder tone, carried by grapefruit, coffee, and redwood, capturing the energy of late-night bonfires and the heat of a Hamptons evening. Both fragrances channel Ralph Lauren’s enduring idea of American style—timeless, spirited, and built for wide-open spaces.
The campaign imagery feels native to the landscape—white denim rolled at the ankles, striped knits tossed over shoulders, the casual certainty that defines Ralph Lauren at its core.
Every detail, from the worn watches to the easy tailoring, feeds into the spring 2025 narrative. Polo 67 and Polo Red settle into Ralph Lauren’s Hamptons world as naturally as the breeze rolling off the Atlantic.

#RHOA: What's Tea? Kenya Moore’s Hair Spa in Atlanta appears abandoned with no stylists or clients!
KENYA Moore's Atlanta hair salon seems to be abandoned without stylists or clients, The U.S. Sun can exclusively report.
Though former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya, 54, made a big splash for the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in June 2024, the space no longer appears to be in regular operation.

According to a sign on the door of the ritzy, purple-themed salon, the hours of operation are Thursday and Friday, 10 am to 6 pm, and Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm.
It also says "open by appointment" on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Wednesday, April 30, there were no appointments, and no stylists, clients or administrators entered or exited the salon all day.

The following day, Thursday, May 1, the salon was expected to be totally open to both scheduled clients and walk-ins.
However, there was not a single person present in the spa all day, and the doors were locked.
In addition, there were no products present in the storefront, and drawers appeared to be cleared out.
"It looked like no one worked there at all," one eyewitness said.
The signature purple and pink flowers, velvet couches and white leather salon chairs were visible from outside the glass doors and windows, but no signs of any activity were present inside.

Kenya Moore Hair Spa's Instagram page still posts photos of women receiving treatments, and Kenya herself washed a woman's hair in one video posted on April 18.
"You just never know who might pop out at the @kenyamoorehairspa," she wrote. "Link in bio to book!"
On StyleSeat.com, a stylist named Mo claims to be open for bookings on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with many time slots still available as soon as today, May 6. A representative for Kenya has not immediately responded to The U.S. Sun's call for comment.
Kenya was infamously fired from RHOA last June after a shocking incident at her Hair Spa's grand opening party.
In a scene captured on a recent episode of the long-running Bravo show, Kenya revealed sexually explicit photos of enemy Brit Eady on a poster to all her guests.Bravo blurred out the images as onlookers gasped.

RHOA cast members including Porsha Williams and Kelli Ferrell walked out of the party in disgust.
“I did not want to stand there and seem like I was in agreement of anything,” Porsha told the cameras. “I don't support this.”
Kenya claimed she revealed the photos after co-star Brit seemingly threatened her with talk about guns.
"Hindsight is always fifty, fifty," Kenya later said. "If I could do it all over again, I believe the photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation. I've elevated situations before, and I've taken full accountability for the things that I've done."
"But when I felt threatened, I've never had a child in a situation like this before.

“So, that's why it escalated to the point where I was protecting not only myself, but my child."
Kenya is a single mom to daughter Brooklyn, 6.

#NewMusic from André 3000 7 Piano Sketches!

The Outkast artist’s first new music since the flute-centric New Blue Sun
André 3000 has surprise-released a new instrumental project dubbed 7 Piano Sketches. As the name suggests, it’s a seven-song collection that centers around piano, with the individual tracks prefaced by himself, Emmy Paalman, or Fatima Robinson reading off the song titles. Vocal effects and occasional samples, like a laugh track on “Off Rhythm Laughter,” also intermittently appear. Give it a listen below.

“The original title for it was The Best Worst Rap Album in History,” André 3000 said in a press release. “And here is an excerpt from the original liner notes: ‘It’s jokingly the worst rap album in history because there are no lyrics on it at all. It’s the best because it’s the free-est emotionally and best I’ve felt personally. It’s the best because it’s like a palette cleanser for me.’”

Partially composed and recorded prior to New Blue Sun, 7 Piano Sketches first took shape nearly a decade ago when André 3000 stayed in a sparse Texas house with his son that only had a piano, two beds, and a few TV screens. “Having lived with the recordings for a time, André was drawn to the idea of creating more and sharing them in the Spring, a time of year that promises that life, creativity, and possibility are ever-renewing,” a press release elaborates.

It’s no coincidence that André 3000 dropped this new project late at night. He timed the release to align with his appearance at the 2025 Met Gala in New York, where he wore a bespoke piano by Burberry on his back, in collaboration with Benji Bixby—an evolution of Benjamin Bixby, André 3000’s late aughts fashion line—and styled by Law Roach. His outfit appears to align with the illustration on the 7 Piano Sketches’s cover artwork.

STREAM IT HERE:

7 Piano Sketches is André 3000’s first new music since releasing the flute-focused album New Blue Sun in 2023. That served as the Outkast rapper’s debut solo LP, and it earned him three Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. The 2024 short film Moving Day, directed by Dexter Navy, documented the making of New Blue Sun and included a previously unreleased track from those recording sessions.

#HipHopNews: Doechii responds to her Met Gala Controversy!
Doechii has addressed a controversy from the Met Gala where she was criticized online for her alleged treatment of assistants.
Shortly before the event started, the TDE rapper was seen stepping out The Mark Hotel covered by a portable screen and several umbrellas to keep her outfit a secret until she hit the red carpet.

In a clip, Doechii could be heard saying: “Give me another umbrella, now. I need more fucking umbrellas!”
The female MC received much criticism on social media for how she spoke to her various assistants and she has now addressed the backlash.
In a TikTok, Doechii said: “All jokes aside this was such an overstimulating night but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. This was the night we all dreamed of and my team killed it (umbrellas aside).”

She added: “God forbid a girl needs more umbrellas.”
The breakout star has recently been battling industry plant allegations, something she hit out at during her Billboard Women in Music speech.
“I cannot believe it was just two years ago I stood on this stage right here and accepted the Billboard Rising Star Award,” she said. “I had literally performed so hard I danced my shoes off and had to hop up to the mic. And here I am. That moment reflects how I approach my career – always go full out, always go hard and always be fab.”
Later in the speech, she added: “We are the creatives, we are the executives and we are the innovators who are just as central to this industry as the men. Clock it! And I want everybody to hear me clearly when I say that it is not a button, it is our brains. It is not a machine, it is our leadership. It is not a conspiracy, it is our vulnerability. And it is not an agenda, it’s God!”

The Swamp Princess recently jumped on a collab with Westside Gunn who she had previously praised as one of her favorite artists.
She told Ebro Darden: “Lately I’ve been into a lot of MF DOOM, rest in peace. Westside Gunn — he’

Smokey Robinson Reportedly Breaks Silence On Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Smokey Robinson is reportedly “appalled” over claims that he sexually assaulted four former female employees. News of the lawsuit surfaced on Tuesday (May 6), and he briefly spoke with the Daily Mail about the allegations.
“I am appalled. I can’t speak about this right now,” said the 85-year-old Motown star. He was reportedly “mumbling incoherently” on the phone call, but made no further comment on the matter.

Robinson has been accused of sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, gender violence, and creating a hostile work environment by four anonymous women who worked for the singer and his wife, Frances, for nearly 20 years.
The Jane Does claim Robinson “repeatedly forced his fingers and penis into their vaginas, causing severe and excruciating pain” and allege that he would use “physical barriers, force, threats of force” like locking his bedroom door to prevent the women from leaving during the alleged assaults. The women have also accused the couple of not paying them minimum wage and overtime.

Frances, whom Robinson married in 2002, was accused of having “full knowledge of his prior acts of sexual misconduct.” The plaintiffs also say she “failed to take the appropriate corrective action” to prevent his “deviant misconduct,” after settling cases with other women who experienced similar abuse by Robinson.
One Jane Doe claims Robinson “raped” her “at least 20 times” over a 12-year time span. Another said she was sexually assaulted at least seven times. She and the other women didn’t report the attacks out of fear of losing their “livelihood, familial reprisal, public embarrassment, shame and humiliation,” as well as “being threatened and intimidated” by Robinson’s celebrity status.

Collectively, they’re seeking at least $50 million in damages.
If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, please contact the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673) or go to rainn.org.

Ashanti Blasted By Chris Gotti For Denying Relationship With Irv Gotti: “I Was Their Therapist”
Chris Gotti, elder brother of the late music mogul Irv Gotti, recently addressed comments made by Ashanti regarding her relationship with Irv during her time at Murder Inc. Records. He called her recollection “disrespectful” and dismissive of the deep personal and professional history they shared.
Speaking candidly on the Let’s Keep it 100 podcast, Chris expressed frustration over Ashanti’s portrayal of her past with Irv, particularly her assertion that their involvement never amounted to a real relationship.

“She says they wasn’t in a relationship. They was in a relationship,” Chris stated. He went on to describe himself as a frequent mediator during their private conflicts, saying, “I was they therapist. Like come on now, don’t do that. But at the end of the day that’s what makes what went on with them so real.”
Chris also took issue with Ashanti’s downplaying of Irv Gotti and Murder Inc.’s contributions to her success, suggesting her rise in the music industry wouldn’t have happened the same way without Irv’s influence.

“For her to act like it ain’t Murder Inc. that made her is f**king bullsh*t or Irv made her. She had three deals before him. Like, something with y’all chemistry worked out! Respect it! That’s all. Not saying you have to talk about the ni**a, but respect the magic that was made. That’s all I said.”

“I’m not gonna let no one talk about my brother, [we’re] gonna have a problem, simple and plain. Especially someone who he made their career. Like, I was there. He made you sing records the way you sang them cause you would’ve never sang it that way if it was up to you,” he continued.
Chris’s comments were made in response to remarks Ashanti gave during her 2022 appearance on Angie Martinez’s IRL podcast, in which she addressed Irv Gotti’s earlier statements on Drink Champs. “Let’s clear this up,” Ashanti said.

“We’re not gonna say relationship. We dealt with each other, but was Irv my boyfriend? Was I his girlfriend? Never… Irv had several girlfriends, so I’m a little confused by the label and the description.”
She continued, “I think that Irv definitely has his side and his version… you may think that it’s something and the other person knows that it’s not… Irv has flat-out lied about a lot of things.”

Ashanti added that manipulation played a role in their dynamic, sharing, “He would say stuff like, ‘No one wants to record with you, nobody f**ks with you like that.’”
Despite their complicated history, Ashanti insisted she had no interest in exposing Irv’s secrets, stating, “I’m happy, I’m in a different space… I don’t play in the mud.”

The heated back-and-forth between the two camps has simmered in the wake of Gotti’s death, with Ashanti paying tribute to the Queens, N.Y., native in a public statement on social media.
Ashanti and Irv Gotti were at the heart of Murder Inc.’s meteoric rise in the early 2000s, creating hits like “Foolish” and “Happy” — tracks that dominated the charts and cemented the label’s place in Hip-Hop and R&B history.

Tragically, Irv Gotti passed away in February 2025 after reportedly suffering from a “major hemorrhagic stroke” stemming from his longstanding bout with diabetes. Gotti was 54 at the time of his death.

Woman arrested after raccoon named Chewy found with meth pipe in driver's seat during police stop

A woman has been arrested after a raccoon named Chewy was found holding a meth pipe in the driver’s seat of her car in what police are calling a “strange encounter on patrol” in Ohio.
The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 7:15 p.m. when Springfield Township police officer Austin Branham decided to conduct a traffic stop on South Arlington Road after identifying a vehicle whose registered owner had an active warrant and a suspended driver’s license, according to a statement from the Springfield Township Police Department released on Tuesday.
When Officer Branham approached the car, he found 55-year-old Victoria Vidal of Akron, Ohio, and was able to detain her without incident, authorities said.

“However, things took an unusual turn,” according to the police statement, “As Officer Branham returned to the vehicle, he observed a raccoon named "Chewy" sitting in the driver's seat with a meth pipe in its mouth. Chewy had somehow gotten hold of a glass methamphetamine pipe, leading officers to further inspect the vehicle.”

Police did confirm that Chewy was a pet raccoon and that he was not a wild animal after Vidal had the appropriate paperwork and documentation to own him.
However, a subsequent search revealed that Vidal’s car contained a bulk amount of methamphetamine, crack cocaine and three used glass methamphetamine pipes, police said.

Vidal was charged with F3 possession of drugs, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and was cited for driving under suspension, authorities said.
She was also subsequently turned over to Cuyahoga Falls Police on her active warrant where additional charges related to crack cocaine possession will be presented at a grand jury pending lab results.
“Thankfully, Chewy the raccoon was unharmed, and notification was made to the proper authorities to determine that she has the proper paperwork and documentation to own the racoon,” police said. “While our officers are trained to expect the unexpected, finding a raccoon holding a meth pipe is a first!”

“No raccoons were hurt or injured in this incident,” authorities confirmed. “As always, we remain committed to keeping our community safe -- no matter what surprises may come our way.”

Partnering with the Big Apple-based team was a “natural” move for the brand.

Heather Fisher, CMO of Fenty Beauty, said: “New York is where we launched Fenty Beauty. We, and Rihanna, have deep roots and love for this city, so the NY Liberty was a natural first WBNA partner for us.
“Everything we do with Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin not only upholds Rihanna’s mission of ‘Beauty for All,’ but reflects her personal connections and inspirations.

The Catholic Church has elected Cardinal Robert Prevost as pope

VATICAN CITY — U.S. Cardinal Robert Prevost has been elected pope, the first time an American has led the Roman Catholic Church. Provost, 69, chose the name Pope Leo XIV.
White smoke streamed from a chimney atop the Sistine Chapel, signaling to the world that the 133 Roman Catholic cardinals inside have elected a new pope.

A roar erupted from the crowd when they saw the white smoke billow from the chimney, which is shown on several large screens in St. Peter's Square. At the same time, the enormous bells of St. Peter's Basilica began to ring, tolling the news that the Catholic Church has a new pope. The crowd continues to build as many carry their countries' flags.
The identity of the new pontiff is not yet known. Vatican officials are expected to announce his name in Latin from the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica shortly.

Cardinal Dominique Mamberti, a 73-year-old Frenchman born in Morocco, is expected to make the announcement — unless he himself is elected pope.
Then the new pope himself will appear and address the crowd.
Rome is brimming with excitement, as thousands gather near the Via della Conciliazione to be present for the historic moment when the new pope is announced and presented to the world.

While the world's 1.4 billion Catholics await the emergence of the new leader of their church on the famous loggia, a series of rituals are taking place.
Once a successful vote is complete, the most senior cardinal asks the newly elected pope, "Do you accept your canonical election as supreme pontiff?"

After he accepts, he is then asked, "What name do you wish to be called?"
The cardinal electors then pay homage and pledge obedience to the new head of the church, and thanks are given to God while the new pope is taken into a sacristy and fitted with papal attire.
Finally, the pronouncement is made in Latin — "Annuntio vobis gaudium magnum: Habemus Papam!" ("I bring you tidings of great joy: We have a pope!") — and the new pope gives an apostolic blessing to throngs of faithful.

The 133 cardinals who assembled in the Vatican for the top-secret conclave have chosen a new pontiff to replace the late Pope Francis, who died at age 88 last month.
Plumes of white smoke streaming from a Sistine Chapel chimney Thursday signaled that a new leader of the Roman Catholic Church ― a faith with more than 1 billion followers ― had been selected by a two-thirds majority vote of the cardinals, the church’s most senior clergy under the pope. The new pope typically appears on the Vatican balcony overlooking St. Peter’s Square within an hour of the smoke billowing.

The 267th pontiff was selected after several rounds of voting over two days. In 2013, it took five rounds of voting in under two days for the cardinals to choose Francis. The fastest conclave lasted only 10 hours in 1503, while the longest lasted nearly three years in 1268.
The conclave initiated Wednesday morning local time, beginning with mass, prayers and oath-taking before the first vote that evening. Italian media reported that the Vatican deactivated all cell phone signals and activated signal jammers in the area to prevent any surveillance of the proceedings.

Any of the participating cardinals could be named the next pope ― and technically, church rules state that any Catholic male is eligible for the role ― but only a handful of cardinals are viewed as the top contenders. And though there are 252 members of the College of Cardinals, only those under 80 are eligible electors. Among the 133 who voted, the Argentine-born Francis had appointed 108 of them ― lending him sizable posthumous influence on who’s been chosen as his successor.

This conclave has been the most geographically diverse one in history, with cardinals hailing from 71 countries, including 17 from Africa, 23 from Asia, 37 from the Americas and 4 from Oceania. The remaining 52 are from Europe, the birthplace of every pope except Francis for the past 1,300 years.

Ex-MPD officers found not guilty of killing Tyre Nichols in state trial

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — In a unanimous decision, the jury in the state trial of three former Memphis Police Department officers charged with the death of Tyre Nichols found the defendants not guilty on all counts.
Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley and Justin Smith all faced charges of murder in the second degree, aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of official misconduct and official oppression. All three pleaded not guilty to their charges during the first day of the trial.

They were found not guilty on all charges after jurors deliberated for about eights hours. You can watch the reading of the verdict here.
Nichols was beaten Jan. 7, 2023, after a traffic stop that was caught on video, and he died three days later. Nichols died of blows to his head, and the manner of death was homicide, an autopsy report released May 4, 2023 showed.
Two other former officers, Emmitt Martin III and Desmond Mills, pleaded guilty to federal charges and testified at the federal trial in 2024. They also pleaded guilty to state charges, but Martin's state plea deal has not been set in stone like Mills.

The state trial began April 28, 2025. With attorneys previously predicting the case to last around three weeks, Shelby County prosecutors surprised some when they rested their case during day three of the state trial after calling just five witnesses. Defense attorneys finished making their case the following Saturday on day six.

More than 20 witnesses were called in total over the course of a week and a half — including Nichols' mother, Desmond Mills and another MPD officer who was fired but not charged for the incident. Martin did not testify.

Although believing Martin was the most at fault, prosecutors had told the jury that the three former officers should be criminally responsible for aiding and failing at their duty to prevent the beating.
Disagreeing with defense attorneys' claims of Bean and Smith not seeing all of the hits to Nichols — partially due to being hit by pepper spray — prosecutors contended that the former officers would have felt and heard the impact from the first clout and had not appeared to be affected by the spray in the video. The two had been trying to hold Nichols while the beating occurred.
For Haley, who did not witness most of the strikes Nichols received, prosecutors argued he rushed onto the scene without assessing the situation and delivered a kick to the 29-year-old before taking a picture of the injured man and sending the photo to others later.

Defense attorneys argued Nichols had resisted officers’ commands and attempts to arrest him, asserting that the incident happened due to the choices of Nichols and Martin, who had inflicted the majority of the hits.
In regard to Smith and Bean, lawyers said the former officers were only focusing on restraining and arresting Nichols, and did not have malicious intent. The attorneys had called character witnesses who said both were good people and officers.
Haley’s attorney contended that Haley was not at the scene when most of the beating occurred and did not deliver any strikes that led to Nichols’ death.

In the federal trial, Bean, Smith and Haley were all found guilty of obstruction. Bean and Smith were acquitted for three other counts.
Haley was found guilty of obstruction, conspiracy to commit obstruction and lesser charges of the first two counts, deprivation of civil rights and deliberate indifference resulting in serious bodily injury.

Simon Cowell on Couple Allegedly Offering Him $150,000 to Judge Them Having Sex: 'I Thought, Do I?'
If one finds themselves in a position to frivolously spend approximately $150,000, why not put it toward an admirably optimistic attempt at booking Simon Cowell to judge you and your partner’s respective sexual performances?
That’s exactly what one couple did—allegedly, at least—after approaching the American Idol alum at a restaurant. Cowell, soon to be seen in a new season of America’s Got Talent, looked back on the potentially enticing offer during a recent conversation with Elizabeth Day for How to Fail.

Asked about what he usually hears from people when approached in public, Cowell couldn’t help but mention the ultimately declined sex judging gig.
“People used to ask me to be rude to them,” Cowell said, as seen above. “I mean, literally they would come up and say, particularly in America, ‘Will you be rude to me?’ And I’m like, ‘No.’

And then one time, it’s a true story, I was in a restaurant and this guy comes up to me and he said ‘I love your show.’ I said, ‘Thank you very much.’”
The encounter carried on in the usual manner from there until, per Cowell, the offer of “Would you judge us having sex?” was made.
“I’m like, ‘Are you winding me up?’” Cowell recalled. “They went, ‘No, we’ll pay you.’ I went, ‘How much?’ And it actually was a lot of money. I thought, do I? No, I just can’t do it.”

Cowell said the couple offered $150,000 for the job. More studious Cowell heads will note that he has shared this anecdote in the past, including during a 2022 conversation with Seth Meyers.

Nickelodeon also confirmed the show was ending in a statement provided to JJJ.

Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan was created by and executive produced by Tyler Perry, who also wrote and directed several episodes.

From Dylan giving Rebecca and Charlie lessons in “swag” and street smarts, to learning that even rappers have rules in the Wilson house, the series follows the hilarious hijinks this family faces as they try to get on the same beat.

In addition to Carl, the series starred young rapper Young Dylan, aka Dylan Gilmer, in the titular character, along with Mieko Hillman as Myles’ wife Yasmine, Celina Smith as Dylan’s cousin Rebecca, Hero Hunter as her brother Charlie, Jet Miller as her best friend Bethany, and Aloma Wright as Dylan’s grandmother Viola.

Chris Brown Pushes for Privacy in Ongoing Lawsuit
Chris Brown is asking the court to protect sensitive personal information as legal proceedings continue over a 2021 dog attack involving one of his pets. In a newly filed emergency motion in Los Angeles, the artist’s legal team requests that certain portions of his deposition remain confidential.

According to reporting by AllHipHop, Brown’s attorneys argue that making details like his residential address public could jeopardize the well-being of his children and other family members. “Mr. Brown has historically had issues with intruders and trespassers on his property,” the legal motion explains. “On one occasion, after having returned from a tour, Mr. Brown came home to a stranger who had broken into and was living in his house.” The filing emphasizes the seriousness of the issue: “These sorts of targeted break-ins not only constitute an ‘unwarranted annoyance’ but also threaten Mr. Brown’s and his family’s safety.”

The urgency of Brown’s request stems from the opposing side’s refusal to seal his deposition. Maria Avila, a former housekeeper, is suing the singer for $90 million, alleging that his dog, Hades, severely bit her, while Brown was present and did not intervene.

Though the case isn’t expected to reach trial until February 2026, it is one of the legal matters Brown faces. He is also engaged in a separate legal dispute with Warner Bros., seeking $500 million in damages for defamation. Brown claims a recent documentary misrepresented him as a “serial rapist and sexual abuser,” which he strongly refutes.

As the court case progresses, Brown is fighting to maintain privacy around his personal and family life amid growing legal scrutiny.

Ray J Reveals Childhood Sexual Abuse by Female Caregiver During Emotional Twitch Livestream
In a tragic revelation made during his Twitch livestream, Ray J admitted that he was sexually abused as a young child by a woman in charge of caring for him.
“My babysitter raped me,” he blurted out while in the company of several young women, who became visibly uncomfortable.

When one laughed, seemingly out of nervousness, the “One Wish” star replied, “It’s not funny.”
He once again reiterated, “She raped me,” before going on to describe an extremely graphic sex act that he was forced to perform on the adult woman while he was just a kid.

When asked if the incident “traumatized” him, Ray initially avoided the question and offered more details of the abuse. However, later in the stream, he did share that he was indeed “traumatized,” adding that the unidentified woman placed him in a headlock at one point.

While this is Ray’s first time speaking candidly about this situation, in his previous interview with Shannon Sharpe on “Club Shay Shay,” he did open up about dating and seemingly being groomed by a 34-year-old when he was 14. It’s unclear if this is the same person who raped him when he was younger.

Cedric the Entertainer Confirms Canceled ‘The Neighborhood’ Spinoff Will Live on in Season 8

*Although CBS chose not to move forward with the planned spinoff of “The Neighborhood,” focused on brothers Malcolm and Marty, fans won’t be left hanging. As we reported earlier, key elements of the axed series will now be integrated into Season 8 of “The Neighborhood.”

In an interview with TVLine, Cedric the Entertainer, star and executive producer of the hit sitcom, reassured viewers that the story arc introduced in the Season 7 finale, which doubled as a backdoor pilot for the spinoff, won’t be forgotten. “We love the idea that Malcolm has moved [to Venice],” said Cedric, who wrote the pilot. “We still wanted to make this transition and show the growth of the Fuse Box, which is why we have Marty going back and forth [from Pasadena to Venice].”

The comedian said the creative team “love the idea that Malcolm has moved there,” and “wanted to [make] this transition and show the growth of the Fuse Box, which is why we have Marty going back and forth [from Pasadena to Venice].”

The proposed spinoff was to follow Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) and Marty (Marcel Spears) as they settled into Venice Beach, exploring their independence in a wildly different cultural environment. While CBS ultimately passed on the series due to budget constraints, Cedric emphasized the creative team’s enthusiasm for the project. “We thought we did a great job,” he said, though he acknowledged networks are “not spending a lot of money” these days.

Despite the disappointment, Cedric remains optimistic. “I want everybody to write in [to CBS],” he urged. “I think people are going to see this season finale and be, like, ‘That’s a great show! Y’all should do that show!’”

“The Neighborhood” returns for its eighth and final season during the 2025–26 television season.
