#FASHIONFILES: Prada Spring 2026 Resets The Rules Of Dressing.
Prada’s spring-summer 2026 menswear collection continues to unravel the codes of masculine dressing through a calculated clash of references. The lineup reveals a sequence of disruptions.
Coats appear over shirts and briefs while sharp tailoring is layered with sportswear. The staging at the Deposito of Fondazione Prada emphasizes these contrasts, where the sterile runway sets the stage for unapologetic contradiction.

This season, garments serve as statements of uncertainty. The floral tunics and striped sailor tops offer a cheerful dissonance when worn with bare legs and sandals. Some looks feel lifted from vacation snapshots, while others resemble institutional uniforms with skewed purpose.
Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada push these disorienting pairings, using repetition and minimal ornamentation to stretch the possibilities of taste itself.

Accessories reinforce the message. Wide-brim hats create mystery, forming a screen between model and observer. Meanwhile, sandals are paired with socks, sneakers with suiting, and bucket hats with tailored outerwear.
The effect resists cohesion, yet threads together a binding narrative. This collection marks a pivot in Prada’s ongoing commentary on the shifting meaning of dress, shaped by managed confusion and a movement away from tradition.

#RHOA: Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Pays Homage To Porsha Williams’ Late Cousin Londie Favors
The latest episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta addresses Londie Favors‘ death and pays homage to Porsha Williams‘ late cousin.
In August 2024, Williams confirmed that her cousin Yolanda “Londie” Favors had died at the age of 34. The Bravo reality series was filming Season 16, and Williams skipped out on attending an event with her fellow co-star Phaedra Parks, which she organized as she mourned her cousin’s death.

On RHOA’s latest episode, which aired on Sunday, June 22, Williams called Parks to tell her why she wouldn’t be there.
“It just was so sudden — so difficult,” Williams says during a confessional. “Londie was just the most giving person you could ever think of. [She was] a loyal person, the most creative with her company. She did so much for my grandfather’s foundation. The most honest person you can ever think of. It’s just a huge loss.”

Favors was featured on the latest season of RHOA as she helped Williams organize an event for her Pampered by Porsha bedding line. Williams’ cousin was also heavily featured on the spinoff Porsha’s Family Matters, which ran for one season on Bravo.
“I’m devastated because I know Londie was really the backbone of their family — very young, which is brilliant, I mean, a sweetheart,” Parks says in a confessional. “I know Porsha is devastated.”
During the call with Williams, Parks tells her not to worry about not attending her event, adding, “We’ll be praying for you because I know she was like another sister to you.”

At the end of her event, Parks delivers the news to the RHOA cast, which surprises them all.
“I’m in shock,” Cynthia Bailey says in a confessional. “Londie was so sweet, so loving. This is devastating news.”
Although there’s conflict among the ladies, the loss brings them together, and Parks reflects and says, “We just need to support her during this time. This group is a big group. We fall out, but at the end of the day, we are sisters. We gotta stick together and really support one another because you never know when it’s the last time.”

The episode wraps up with a title card: “In Loving Memory. Yolanda “Londie” Favors. 1989-2024.”

#HipHopNews: Eminem's Stalker Receives 30 Years In Prison
Eminem‘s stalker, Matthew Hughes, has received a lengthy prison sentence after being convicted of breaking into the rapper’s home for a second time.
The 32-year-old Hughes has been sentenced to between 15 and 30 years in prison on charges of first-degree home invasion and three years to seven years and six months on aggravated stalking.

The sentences will run consecutive to each other.
Hughes is also banned from having any contact with Eminem and not allowed within 500 feet of his home or work.
Hughes was convicted last month after a brief jury trial that also included testimony from the rap legend.

It is not the first time Hughes has been convicted of breaking into Eminem’s home.
During the first incident in 2020, Em told police he woke up to find Hughes standing behind him. And when asked why he was there, Hughes said he was there to kill him.

He reached a plea deal in that case and was sentenced in September 2021 to five years of probation – but was then arrested that November for simple assault, which led to jail time for violating probation.
He was released on parole last May, and the second break-in happened just months later.
Hughes was also arrested in June 2019 after he was found sleeping in the guest house of a house previously owned by Slim Shady.
In separate news, it was recently revealed that Eminem originally wanted Mariah Carey to play the role of his mom in 8 Mile.

According to Damizza, who produced records for Carey and became head of various Hip Hop focused radio stations, Em courted the legendary pop singer for the role.
Damizza detailed to the TFU Podcast how Eminem wanted to meet Carey for the film.
He also revealed that Carey initially turned down the offer of a meeting before finding out about the movie.
Damizza then detailed the meeting: “The first thing out of [Eminem’s] mouth is, ‘I want you to play my mother.’”

The producer revealed Carey’s reaction: “Her insecurities kicked in big time.”
It has long been speculated that Eminem and Carey dated briefly in 2001, something she has long denied.

T.D. Jakes Dismisses Rumor Of A “Love Affair” With Diddy As Oprah Denies Attending Infamous Parties

Oprah Winfrey and Bishop T.D. Jakes took some time out Thursday (June 18) during the Good Soil Forum in Dallas to address rumors that they attended Sean “Diddy” Combs’ infamous parties before he was arrested in September on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
In a widely circulated clip online, Winfrey is seen saying she’s “never been near a Puff party,” adding, “And anybody who knows me knows if there is a party, I am the first one out.”

Jakes then shares that, while he’s stopped by a Diddy party in the past to wish the fallen mogul a happy birthday, he only stayed for 30 minutes before making his exit. Surprisingly, Jakes also denied long-standing rumors that he and Diddy carried on some type of “love affair.”
“You, too?” Winfrey sarcastically responded to rumor.
“Yes!” Jakes replied. “I am almost 70 years old, what do I look like? And I am a grandfather. What do I look like at this late date?” See the moment between Jakes and Winfrey below.

The subject of which celebrities have attended Diddy’s infamous parties over the years has become a hot one, as several witnesses within his current sex trafficking trial have testified to witnessing or participating in his “Freak Off” sex parties. Both ex-girlfriends and former employees have testified regarding the nefarious nature of the gatherings.
Jamie Foxx also addressed rumors of attending Diddy parties in his Netflix standup special, Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was, where he joked of always leaving the celebrity-packed shindigs early.

“The internet was trying to kill me, though. The internet said Puffy tried to kill me. I know what you’re thinking, did he?” he quipped. “Hell, nah ni**a, I left those parties early. I was out by 9 ni**a, something don’t look right ni**a. It’s slippery in here.”

Eagles Star Jalen Hurts to Inspire Young Readers with Debut Children’s Book “Better Than a Touchdown”
Hurts just announced his debut children’s book, “Better Than a Touchdown,” set for release in Spring 2026 through Flamingo Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House. Illustrated by Nneka Myers, the book tells the story of a young boy named Jalen who dreams of playing for his school’s football team. But when the team gets cut, he and his friends must come together to figure out how to bring it back.

Hurts says the book is about more than just sports. “Some of the most valuable lessons I’ve brought into my adult life were passed down to me during childhood, like the importance of doing something bigger than yourself,” he says in a statement on his team’s website. “I’m excited to share some of that wisdom with a new generation of kids in ‘Better Than a Touchdown.’”

The story is designed to inspire children, but Hurts also hopes it connects with adults.
“I hope this book strikes a chord of resilience, encourages self-belief, and resonates with not only kids, but also teachers, mentors, and parents!”

Margaret Anastas, VP and Publisher of Flamingo Books, says Hurts was deeply involved in the creative process.
“From the moment I met Jalen, it was clear he would pour his heart and soul into this book — and he has done that and more,” she said in a statement to People. “Working with him has been an absolute privilege, and I am so excited for Jalen’s youngest fans to read his wonderful, inspiring book.”

“Better Than a Touchdown” will be published on March 10th, 2026, and is available now for preorder wherever books are sold.

Damson Idris teases Marvel fans about Black Panther

Damson Idris made waves during his promotional tour for the upcoming racing thriller F1, but it wasn’t just his new movie that had people talking. The Snowfall star found himself at the center of swirling speculation about potentially taking on one of Marvel’s most iconic roles – and his responses have fans convinced something major is brewing.

The British actor’s cryptic television appearance has ignited a firestorm of speculation across social media platforms. Entertainment websites are dissecting every word from his recent interview, searching for clues about Marvel’s next big casting decision.
The moment that changed everything
Television appearances can be make-or-break moments for actors
During his appearance on NBC’s morning show, Idris encountered the question that’s been shadowing him throughout Hollywood: Would he step into the Black Panther suit? His masterfully evasive response sent Marvel enthusiasts into a complete meltdown across social media platforms.

The 33-year-old performer delivered what entertainment journalists are calling the most strategically ambiguous answer in recent memory. Rather than providing a clear response, he chose words that left audiences analyzing every inflection and gesture. The show’s host immediately recognized the deliberate vagueness, suggesting that even non-committal responses carry significant weight in Hollywood casting discussions.

However, when the conversation pivoted to his willingness to accept such a role if Marvel extended an offer, Idris showed remarkable certainty. His unwavering enthusiasm for the possibility has convinced many observers that preliminary discussions might already be underway between his representatives and studio executives.

Why this casting makes perfect sense
The entertainment industry loves a good success story

Idris has been building an impressive resume that positions him perfectly for a major franchise role. His breakout performance in FX’s critically acclaimed series Snowfall demonstrated his ability to carry complex, emotionally demanding storylines. Playing Franklin Saint, a young entrepreneur navigating the dangerous world of 1980s Los Angeles crack epidemic, Idris proved he could handle weighty material with nuance and depth.

The actor’s British background adds another layer of intrigue to potential casting discussions. Following in the footsteps of other British actors who’ve successfully transitioned into major American superhero roles, Idris represents a fresh international perspective that could bring new dimensions to the character.
His physical presence and acting range align well with what Marvel typically seeks in their leading actors. The studio has consistently chosen performers who can balance action sequences with emotional depth, and Idris has demonstrated both capabilities throughout his career.

The franchise’s complex evolution
Marvel faces unique challenges moving forward
The Black Panther franchise occupies a special place in both Marvel’s cinematic universe and popular culture. Chadwick Boseman’s portrayal of King T’Challa created a cultural phenomenon that extended far beyond typical superhero movie success. The film’s impact on representation in Hollywood and its celebration of African culture resonated with audiences worldwide.

Following Boseman’s death in 2020, Marvel faced the unprecedented challenge of continuing the franchise while honoring his legacy. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever addressed this by focusing on Letitia Wright’s character Shuri, exploring themes of grief and succession while maintaining the series’ commitment to powerful storytelling.
Now, with Black Panther 3 officially in development, the franchise stands at another crossroads. The question of who might step into a leading role has become one of Hollywood’s most closely watched casting decisions.

Social media erupts with excitement
Fan reactions reveal the power of representation
The internet’s response to Idris‘s television appearance demonstrates just how invested audiences are in the franchise’s future. Social media platforms exploded with speculation, fan art, and passionate discussions about what his potential casting could mean.

Many fans have been advocating for Idris’s involvement long before his recent interview. His work on Snowfall earned him a devoted following who’ve been vocal about wanting to see him in bigger projects. The prospect of him joining the Marvel universe has united various fan communities in excitement.

The enthusiasm extends beyond just Marvel fans. Idris’s potential casting represents another significant step forward for representation in major Hollywood productions, continuing the important work that the Black Panther franchise has championed since its inception.

What industry insiders are saying
Hollywood buzz suggests serious conversations
While Marvel Studios maintains its typical secrecy around casting decisions, industry observers note that Idris‘s comments align with how actors typically respond when they’re actually in consideration for major roles. The carefully crafted non-denial suggests that conversations may be more advanced than publicly acknowledged.

Entertainment industry veterans recognize the pattern of responses that often precede major casting announcements. Actors under consideration for significant roles typically avoid outright denials while maintaining plausible deniability until official announcements can be made.
The timing of these discussions also makes sense from a production standpoint. With Black Panther 3 in early development, now would be the appropriate time for Marvel to be having serious conversations with potential leads.

Looking ahead to Wakanda’s future
The franchise’s next chapter promises excitement
Regardless of casting decisions, Black Panther 3 represents a crucial moment for Marvel’s continued success. The franchise has proven that superhero movies can tackle serious themes while delivering spectacular entertainment, setting a high bar for future installments.

Idris’s openness to joining the Marvel universe, combined with his impressive acting credentials, positions him as a compelling choice for the franchise’s evolution. His potential involvement could bring fresh energy while respecting the series’ established legacy.
The entertainment world will undoubtedly be watching closely as Marvel moves forward with their plans. Whether or not Idris ultimately joins the cast, his enthusiastic response to the possibility has already generated the kind of excitement that suggests big announcements may be coming soon.
For now, fans will have to wait for official confirmation, but one thing is certain – the future of the Black Panther franchise continues to generate passionate interest from audiences eager to see what Wakanda’s next chapter will bring.

Megan Thee Stallion shakes things up with ‘Love Island USA’
The intersection of hip-hop royalty and reality television reached a crescendo when Megan Thee Stallion descended upon the Love Island USA villa, transforming what had become a predictable season into appointment viewing. Her calculated invasion of the dating show demonstrated how celebrity cameos can revitalize flagging programming while simultaneously advancing personal brand objectives.

The Houston rapper’s strategic appearance on June 19 served multiple purposes: energizing a cast that had settled into comfortable routines, introducing fresh romantic chaos through new contestants, and showcasing her expanding business portfolio to reality television’s coveted demographic.

Strategic entertainment disruption
Megan’s entrance choreography reflected sophisticated understanding of reality television mechanics. Arriving to the pulsing beats of her track Her, she immediately established dominance over the villa’s social hierarchy. The song choice proved deliberate, reinforcing her musical brand while providing familiar soundtrack for viewers already invested in her artistic persona.

Her declaration of intent—promising to shake the table as she proclaimed that Love Island was not ready for her type of bombshell—aligned perfectly with the show’s fundamental premise of romantic upheaval. The announcement, delivered with characteristic confidence, generated immediate social media speculation that had been carefully cultivated through cryptic posts earlier that day.
This multi-platform approach to audience engagement demonstrates evolved celebrity marketing strategies, where traditional media appearances integrate seamlessly with social media campaigns to maximize impact across diverse audience segments.
The dance contests and limbo competitions that followed transcended typical celebrity guest appearances. Rather than passive observation, Megan orchestrated active participation that forced contestants to display vulnerability and competitive spirit simultaneously. Her philosophy of working hard and playing hard encapsulated the evening’s energy while reinforcing her established brand messaging around confidence and self-expression.

These physical challenges served dual purposes: creating compelling television moments while demonstrating the body positivity principles that underpin her commercial ventures. Contestants who might typically feel self-conscious about their bodies found themselves celebrating physical expression in ways that aligned with Megan’s broader cultural messaging.
The strategic introduction of new contestants TJ and Andreina through Megan’s authority added unprecedented gravitas to the traditional bombshell arrival format. Their designation carried enhanced weight because it came from established celebrity rather than anonymous production staff, immediately elevating their perceived importance within villa hierarchy.

Megan‘s appearance strategically promoted her Hot Girl Summer swimwear collaboration with Walmart, launched weeks earlier on May 19. The collection’s size-inclusive pieces, priced accessibly between $16 and $28, reflected careful market positioning that prioritizes inclusivity over luxury exclusivity.
Her personal involvement in design processes distinguishes this collaboration from typical celebrity licensing agreements. Rather than lending her name to existing products, Megan’s hands-on approach ensures authentic representation of her body positivity advocacy within commercial offerings.

The Walmart partnership demonstrates shrewd business acumen, recognizing that mass market accessibility serves broader cultural goals than high-end exclusivity. By making her designs financially accessible to Love Island’s predominantly young adult audience, she extends her cultural influence beyond entertainment into practical lifestyle choices.
Social media reactions revealed the calculated success of Megan’s villa intervention. Viewer commentary focused on energy revitalization rather than mere celebrity recognition, suggesting her appearance addressed genuine audience dissatisfaction with recent episodes. Comments praising her ability to bring fun back to the villa indicated that her presence filled specific entertainment gaps that regular programming had failed to address.

The widespread praise for her episode reflected genuine appreciation for disrupted routine. Reality television audiences crave unpredictability, and Megan’s appearance delivered chaos within controlled parameters that enhanced rather than destroyed existing narrative structures.
Megan‘s Love Island appearance represents broader trends in celebrity brand management, where traditional entertainment boundaries dissolve in favor of multi-platform presence. Her seamless integration of musical performance, business promotion and cultural advocacy within reality television format demonstrates sophisticated understanding of contemporary media consumption patterns.

The body positivity messaging embedded throughout her appearance transcends commercial objectives, contributing to ongoing cultural conversations about self-acceptance and confidence. By positioning these themes within mainstream entertainment rather than activist contexts, she reaches audiences who might otherwise avoid explicit social commentary.
Her villa takeover ultimately succeeded because it felt organic rather than forced, entertaining rather than promotional, and empowering rather than exploitative—qualities that define effective celebrity brand management in contemporary media landscape.

Joycelyn Savage Speaks Out On Engagement To R. Kelly, Advocates For His Release From Prison
Joycelyn Savage is breaking her silence on her relationship and engagement to R. Kelly, and she’s not just talking about love—she’s advocating for his release from prison.
The 29-year-old stood firm on a big box of WTHelly business, as she revealed that she proposed to the disgraced R&B singer, who is currently serving a 30-year sentence for racketeering, sexual exploitation of children, forced labor, and violations of the Mann Act, which involved the coercion and transportation of women and girls for illegal sexual activity.

In her statement, Joycelyn Savage shared that she and R. Kelly have been together for 10 years, and she visits him regularly.
She’s hopeful that once he’s released, they’ll get married and start a family.
Because why not, right? Love conquers all, even prison sentences, apparently.
This revelation comes in response to her parents, Jonjelyn and Timothy Savage, who recently spoke to TMZ about their efforts to block R. Kelly’s request for a pardon from former President Donald Trump.

Now, I could be wrong, but my Spidey Senses tell me that Trump’s been a little preoccupied with ruining the United States… so Kells may need to keep stepping in the name of love (on CB4) for now.
Joycelyn’s parents believe that, even with him behind bars, she’s still under the spell of the Pied Piper.
In fact, they’ve begged to have a private conversation with her “as a family,” especially now that Kelly is incarcerated, but judging by her recent comments and actions, she’s not interested in taking that call.

Here’s what Joycelyn Savage had to say in her own words during her mini press conference:
Hi everyone. My name is Joycelyn Savage. I’m 29 years old and I’ll be 30 next month.
I just want to come out here and let you guys know that I am not a victim.
I’ve been with Robert for 10 years. He’s been incarcerated for six years, and I’ve seen him every weekend for the past six years.
Just three years ago, I proposed to Robert and he said, yes. We are planning on getting married and having a family, and I’m very excited about that.
Please do not believe the lies my mother and father are spreading about me and Robert.
I am not held against my will. I am not a sex slave. I’m not brainwashed, and all those crazy lies are just that—lies.
I want Robert to get the righteous justice he deserves. He deserves to be free. Enough is enough. I’m tired, and he’s tired too.

So please, continue to pray for him. I’m praying for him. I believe he will be out soon.
Also, just so we’re clear: I choose not to call my parents. I’m a grown woman, and if I decide not to call them, that’s my choice.
It is what it is. I’m happy where I’m at. I’m in love, and I’m good.
Thank you for listening, and have a great day. Bye.

Barbra told the publication that in order to come back for the upcoming Little Fockers movie, she would have to get a serious pay raise.

Tyrese Haliburton Releases Statement After NBA Finals Game 7 Injury
Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton has released his first statement since suffering a right torn Achilles tendon in Game 7 of the Pacers’ NBA Finals loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday (June 22).
The 25-year-old athlete took to his various social media pages to update fans, sharing a snap of him being treated in the hospital alongside a lengthy breakdown of his mental and physical state since sustaining the injury that killed the Pacers’ shot at victory.

“Man. Don’t know how to explain it other than shock,” Haliburton began. “Words cannot express the pain of this letdown. The frustration is unfathomable. I’ve worked my whole life to get to this moment and this is how it ends? Makes no sense.”

He goes on, “Now that I’ve gotten surgery, I wish I could count the number of times people will tell me I’m going to ‘come back stronger.’ What a cliche lol, this sh*t sucks. My foot feels like dead weight fam. But what’s hurting most I think is my mind. Feel like I’m rambling, but I know this is something I’ll look back on when I’m through this, as something I’m proud I fought through. It feels good to let this sh*t out without y’all seeing the kid ugly cry.”

Haliburton goes on to say that he knows he’ll, “come out on the other side of this a better man and a better player,” adding that he doesn’t regret the injury because he sustained it while fighting for his city. He goes on to apologize to the state of Indiana for not securing the chip.
“Indy, I’m sorry. If any fan base doesn’t deserve this, it’s y’all. But together we are going to fight like hell to get back to this very spot, and get over this hurdle. I don’t doubt for a second that y’all have my back, and I hope you guys know that I have yours. I think Kobe said it best when in this same situation. ‘There are far greater issues/challenges in the world then a torn achilles. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, find the silver lining and get to work with the same belief, same drive and same conviction as ever.’ And that’s exactly right. I will do everything in my power to get back right.”

He wraps up the note by quoting scripture: “Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Pharrell Williams Sues Clothing Company for $14 Million Over Fake Billionaire Boys Club Gear

Pharrell Williams is suing t-shirt company Spreadshirt for $14 million, accusing the online print-on-demand platform of selling fake Billionaire Boys Club (BBC) merchandise and cashing in on his brand without permission.
According to AllHipHop, the lawsuit, filed by BBC Ice Cream LLC, claims that Spreadshirt allowed unauthorized sellers to upload knockoff BBC designs, then printed, packaged, and shipped the merchandise while disguising its role in the operation.

“[Spreadshirt’s] conduct continues unabated, and the manufacture, publishing, advertising for sale, and sales of counterfeit and infringing Products persist,” said Richard J. Pocker, attorney for Williams. “BBC brings this action to put a stop to this ongoing unlawful conduct and to hold [Spreadshirt] accountable for their actions.”
The suit states that Spreadshirt is not just a passive service provider but an active partner in the alleged counterfeiting. The company reportedly used “white-label” packaging to hide its involvement and did little to prevent or report trademark infringement.

BBC accuses Spreadshirt of violating federal trademark laws, including trademark dilution, counterfeiting, and false designation of origin. The brand is seeking injunctive relief, punitive and compensatory damages, and attorney fees.
Billionaire Boys Club, founded in 2003 by Pharrell and designer Nigo, blends streetwear with luxury and skate culture. The brand has made waves through collaborations with the Yankees and NBA All-Star Weekend, appearances in Pharrell’s videos, and international partnerships with retailers like Nordstrom and Ssense.

Most recently, the brand was featured in the LEGO documentary “Piece by Piece,” highlighting Pharrell’s life and career.

Trump says he is 'not happy' with Israel after saying it and Iran both broke a ceasefire
President Trump on Tuesday lashed out at Israel and Iran for possible violations of a ceasefire, telling reporters at the White House: "You know what we have? We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the f*** they're doing."

"Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I've never seen before, the biggest load that we've seen. I'm not happy with Israel," Trump said.
Trump also posted a warning on social media: "ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!"

The president's charged comments came hours after Israel and Iran agreed to stop their war early Tuesday, followed by accusations from Israel that Iran had broken the ceasefire.
Israeli emergency services and security officers search for casualties in the rubble of a building hit by an Iranian missile in Beersheba in southern Israel on Tuesday.

Israel and Iran said they agreed to stop fighting on Tuesday, following President Trump's announcement that the two countries had reached a ceasefire deal.
But the future of such a ceasefire came under immediate question, as reports persisted Tuesday morning of further strikes.
In a statement to NPR, the Israeli military accused Iran of firing two missiles toward Israel after the ceasefire took effect, and said they were intercepted. Iran's military denied any missile launches at Israel after the agreement took effect, according to Iran's state media.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the military to "respond forcefully" and "continue the intensified operations targeting regime assets and terror infrastructure in Tehran."
The tenuous ceasefire comes more than a week and a half after Israel launched its attack on Iran, leading to deadly exchanges of missile and drone barrages between them and threatening to draw the Middle East — and the United States — into a wider war. It comes a few days after the U.S. bombed Iranian nuclear facilities
"In light of the operation's objectives being achieved, and in full coordination with President Trump, Israel has agreed to the president's proposal for a bilateral ceasefire," the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.

Before the Israeli statement, Trump wrote on social media in all caps: "The ceasefire is now in effect. Please do not violate it!"
Earlier in the morning, Iran's state TV said Tehran had "imposed" a ceasefire on the "Zionist enemy." Iran's government does not officially recognize Israel as a state.
Israel and Iran exchanged attacks up to the final moments when the ceasefire was due to begin, causing casualties, according to Iranian state media and Israeli emergency services.

The final death toll from the war is not immediately clear. Over the weekend, Iran's Health Ministry said 430 civilians had been killed by Israel's strikes in Iran. An independent activist group called the Human Rights Activists News Agency counted 974 total fatalities, as it also included 268 Iranian military personnel.

Israel's previous death toll was 24, according to the Israeli government, but recent barrages have caused new fatalities.
On Monday, Trump first said Israel and Iran agreed to a ceasefire that could lead to an end to the war between the two countries.
Trump's strikes on Iran a gamble with 'no endgame in mind,' says Sen. Mark Kelly

Soon afterward, Vice President Vance, speaking on Fox News, said Trump wanted to work on a "long-term settlement" between Iran and Israel.
"I think the Iranians are at a place where they don't want to keep on fighting," Vance said in the interview.
Earlier Monday, Iran's state-run news agency Tasnim said that Tehran launched missile attacks on U.S. bases in Qatar and Iraq. The U.S. Central Command said the U.S. and Qatari forces successfully intercepted the Iranian missiles targeting the air base.

Trump said on social media that U.S. officials had been given advance notice by Iran of the strikes.
