#MAGFAB: Naomi Campbell For Dazed Magazine 'Celebration' Issue 2025

Supermodel Naomi Campbell takes one cover of Dazed Magazine’s [IG] Summer 2025 issue, the last one under the editorial vision of IB Kamara [IG]. Ted Stansfield has succeeded Kamara as Dazed Editor in Chief, expanding his duties as editorial director of Dazed Digital and AnOthermag.com and editor of Another Man. Stansfield’s first issue will debut in September.

Meanwhile, the glorious Naomi Campbell channels humanity’s oldest African origins and self-adornment using beads, shells and hair collages made of twigs, real flowers, leaves and even stones and butterflies that honor the deep ties between humans and nature.

The Blombos Cave, South Africa. Shell beads in the Bonobos Caves, part of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site in South Africa,  are dated to 76,000 years ago, making them currently the oldest beads of adornment on record. Of interest to AOC, a nearby Rising Star Cave system was so extremely narrow that it required the paleoanthropologist Lee Berger to recruit six of the smallest-possible physique archaeologists to penetrate this sacred ground.
Six highly-credentialed women able to fit through a narrow chute just 7.5 inches wide were the first humans to penetrate the cave on an expedition that launched in November, 2013. Their discoveries are labeled the homo naledi early humans.
A consistent theme of all of these discoveries is layers of complexity that our earliest humans displayed. Self-adornment as Naomi expresses visually is only one of these complexities.

#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey and Angela Oakley Tease RHOA Reunion
It’s almost reunion time for the ladies of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. And that means tea, tears, and probably a little trauma. Cynthia Bailey and Angela Oakley gave viewers a little bit of a sneaky peek at what to expect.

The two ladies appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and played a game “Re-WHO-nion.” Andy asked them questions and they answered by picking among the bobbing heads of the lovely RHOA ladies. And my goodness what a season it’s been. From Brit Eady’s pistol to Charles Oakley’s cheating allegations, there is a lot of drama that unfolded.

The ladies thought for a split second before Angela answered, “Porsha.” And Cynthia agreed. “Yeah, Porsha.”
That makes sense. Porsha has caused quite a bit of discord on the show. She left Drew Sidora out of her birthday plans then acted cruelly towards her with her anger spilling over to Angela. In her anger, she even made a comment that she should sleep with Charles. Not cool.

Andy then asked them who they feel he got annoyed with the most. “I think it’s a toss up between Kelli (Ferrell) and Shamea (Morton),” she answered. Andy laughed and said he “doesn’t get annoyed.”
He then gave them an easy one and asked whose look they liked the most. Cynthia said she liked Porsha’s look while Angela chose Shamea’s look. Both girls declined to say whose look they liked the least.

“Who threw the best shade?” Andy asked.
“Drew had a lot of tricks!” Cynthia said immediately. And it’s true Drew has been throwing a bit of shade this season, but understandably so. Cynthia turned to Angela and also admitted that “Ms. Oakley also came with her receipts. But Drew had a whole thing.”

“She brought props!” Andy admitted
And finally, the last question was who cried the most and the girls briefly tried to recall if tears were shed. Angela and Cynthia agreed it must have been Porsha or Shamea.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta continues every Sunday at 8/7c on Bravo and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

#HipHopNews: Gelo, Ray Vaughn, And Samara Cyn Enter The 2025 ‘XXL’ Freshman Class
The 2025 XXL Freshman class has been revealed. This year’s class includes breakout stars such as Gelo, Ray Vaughn, and Samara Cyn, as well as viral stars 1900Rugrat, BabyChiefDoit, EemTriplin, Ian, Lazer Dim 700, Loe Shimmy, Nino Paid, and YTBFatt. See below for more info about each of these rising stars.

1900Rugrat
Hailing from West Palm Beach, Florida, Rugrat is signed to 300 Entertainment and first gained popularity thanks to his freestyles — specifically his song “One Take Freestyle.”

BabyChiefDoit
At 17 years old, BabyChiefDoit is the youngest member of this year’s class. A Chicago native, he’s best known for tracks like “Snooze You Lose” and “The Viper.”

Eem Triplin
After getting his start as a producer for other artists, Eem Triplin switched to rapping and singing his own tunes, leading to the release of his album Melody of a Memory early this year.

Gelo
If you haven’t heard Gelo’s song “Tweaker” by now, you don’t know ball. Triple entendre, don’t even ask me how. The former hooper turned rapper is preparing the release of his debut album, which drops this week.

Ian
He’s not Tyler The Creator’s favorite, but with the support of Lil Yachty (himself a former Freshman), the Dallas suburbanite has generated a passionate fanbase among the Lyrical Lemonade/Rolling Loud set.

Lazer Dim 700
I first heard Lazer Dim as a guest on Denzel Curry’s “Still In The Paint” and the Florida native’s support has been instrumental in helping the Georgian Lazer Dim find an audience for his unique, hyperactive sound.

Loe Shimmy
Another Florida artist, Loe Shimmy’s distinctive voice (a wobbly nasal croak) has led to standout performances on tracks such as “Let It Out” and his verse on Hurricane Wisdom’s “Salute.”

Nino Paid
Columbia Records picked up the PG County, Maryland artist in 2023 after the viral success of his song “Pain & Possibilities,” leading to the release of two full-length projects to date, last year’s Can’t Go Bacc and this February’s Love Me As I Am.

Ray Vaughn
The TDE-signed Long Beach rapper has made lots of noise this year as one of the primary participants in Joey Badass’ one-sided proxy war with Kendrick Lamar, standing in for his former labelmate with fiery diss tracks defending not just his Compton neighbor, but the wider Los Angeles regional scene.

Samara Cyn
Samara Cyn, currently on tour with Smino, just dropped her EP, Backroads, as a follow-up to her critically hailed debut, The Drive Home.

YTB Fatt
Usually, Memphis artists are from Tennessee, but Fatt is putting West Memphis, Arkansas on the map. Ironically, he’s doing so with the help of Memphis native Moneybagg Yo, as a member of the “Said Sum” rapper’s Loaf Boyz Ventures label.

Diddy Opts Not To Testify, As Defense Rests Its Case In Sex Trafficking Trial

Sean “Diddy” Combs has officially opted out of taking the stand in his current sex trafficking trial, confirming his decision to presiding Judge Arun Subramanian Tuesday (June 24).
TMZ reported on the brief exchange, where Judge Subramanian first asked the Bad Boy founder in court how he was feeling. “I’m doing great, your honor,” he replied. “I’ve been wanting to tell you thank you, you’re doing an excellent job.”

After thanking Combs for the compliment, the judge confirmed Diddy’s understanding that his choice not to take the stand was “his and his alone.” Combs replied that after discussing the matter with his team of attorneys, he made the ultimate decision not to testify.

Diddy’s defense team opted not to call any witnesses, only presenting bits of evidence after the prosecution concluded their case Tuesday with the testimony of special agent Joseph Cerciello of Homeland Security Investigations. The prosecution’s case has included testimony from Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie, an ex that went by “Jane Doe” during her testimony, rapper Kid Cudi, and various former sex workers and employees of the Hip-Hop mogul.

With the defense officially resting their case, jurors were sent home until Thursday (June 26), when they will return to the courthouse to hear closing arguments.
Combs has been charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution, maintaining his innocence. If convicted, Combs could face 15 years to life in prison.

Zohran Mamdani declares historic victory in New York City mayoral primary after Cuomo concedes
Zohran Mamdani, the 33-year-old democratic socialist appeared to have cleared the first hurdle on his path to becoming New York’s first Muslim mayor, declaring victory in the city’s Democratic primary on Tuesday night, although it could be days before the final result is known.
In a stunning upset, Andrew Cuomo – who had been a heavy favorite until recent weeks - conceded the race, after it become clear the progressive upstart had built a substantial lead over the more experienced but scandal-scarred former governor.

In a speech to supporters, Mamdani said, “Tonight, we made history.”
“I will be your Democratic nominee for the mayor of New York City,” he said.
‘On to victory’: supporters overjoyed as Zohran Mamdani defeats Andrew Cuomo in New York primary
Read more

After 93% of votes were counted in the primary’s first round, Mamdani, a state representative, had 43.5% of the vote. Cuomo was at 36.4%.
Speaking at a campaign rally, Cuomo said Mamdani had run a “really smart and good and impactful campaign”.
“Tonight is his night. He deserved it. He won,” Cuomo said.

New York City uses a ranked-choice voting system, and as neither candidate is likely to reach 50%, the board of elections will now tally people’s second-choice candidates.
Mamdani, who cross-endorsed with Brad Lander, a progressive who came third with 11.4% of the vote, last week, is predicted to benefit more than Cuomo from the count. He thanked Lander in his speech, telling supporters: “Together we have shown the power of the politics of the future: one of partnership and sincerity.”

Mamdani’s stunning rise will serve as a rebuke to the Democratic establishment, and give hope to other progressives hoping to run in elections around the country. Cuomo was backed by deep pocketed donors and endorsed by a wave of centrist figures including Bill Clinton, but Mamdani benefitted from a surge of grassroots support among young people in particular.
Speaking on Tuesday night Cuomo said he had called Mamdani to “congratulate him”.

“He put together a great campaign and he touched young people and inspired them and moved them and got them to come out and vote,” Cuomo said. “I applaud him sincerely for his effort.”
Cuomo told the New York Times that he may still run in the November mayoral election as an independent.
“I want to analyze and talk to some colleagues,” he said.

But given the heavily Democratic makeup of New York, and the unpopularity of the incumbent Eric Adams, Mamdani will be favorite to become New York’s 11th mayor.
The race for New York mayor has been closely watched across the US. In pitting two drastically different Democrats against one another, it offered a vision of what voters want from a party that has struggled to present a coherent alternative to Donald Trump.
Cuomo, the centrist former governor, and Mamdani emerged as the frontrunners in the final weeks of the primary, Mamdani closing the gap on Cuomo through an abundance of enthusiasm from young New Yorkers.
Mamdani had hoped to benefit from the primary’s ranked-choice voting system, which allows voters to rank five candidates in order of preference.

Cuomo, who was elected to three-terms as governor before resigning in disgrace amid accusations of sexual harassment, entered the race with the far superior name recognition, and at one point had a 30-point lead in polling. But a survey released on Monday showed Mamdani winning the primary after multiple rounds of counting.

Mamdani ran on a progressive platform, promising to freeze rent and make buses free citywide, and his campaign was propelled by a social media following that dwarfs his rivals’. He was endorsed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at an event attended by thousands of people in June, and has also won the backing of Bernie Sanders, the Vermont senator.
Cuomo was much less visible, eschewing large rallies for tightly managed appearances at union offices and other small venues. As the race narrowed, his campaign and the organizations backing him – some of which were funded by billionaire Republican donors – focused almost exclusively on attacking Mamdani, spending millions of dollars on mailers and TV adverts. The New York Times reported that Cuomo benefited from more than $25m in outside spending in the primary, a city record.

“This has been a historically contentious race,” Mamdani said.
“I hope now that this primary has come to an end, I can introduce myself once more, not as you’ve seen me in a 30-second ad or in a mailer in your mailbox, but as I how I will lead as your Mayor.
“I will be the mayor for every New Yorker, whether you voted for me, for Governor Cuomo, or felt too disillusioned by a long, broken political system to vote at all.”
Early voting started in New York on 14 June, and the city said more than 380,000 people had voted by Sunday, more than double the number that voted early in the 2021 primary. A heatwave on Tuesday – temperatures in New York reached 100F (38C) – appeared not to have suppressed turnout with more than 1 million people estimated to have voted, CBS New York reported.

The winner of the primary is not guaranteed to become the 111th mayor of New York, but it is highly likely in a city where registered Democrats heavily outnumber Republicans.
The incumbent, Eric Adams, who won the 2021 election as a Democrat but is running this year as an independent candidate, is deeply unpopular in the city. Last year, Adams was charged with taking bribes and accepting foreign campaign contributions, but the charges were dropped in April after the Trump administration intervened.

Karmelo Anthony indicted on murder charge in fatal stabbing at Frisco track meet

The teen accused of fatally stabbing another student at a Frisco track meet earlier this year has been indicted on a murder charge, Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis confirmed.
Willis said a grand jury handed up the indictment Tuesday against Karmelo Anthony, 18.
Police say Anthony, then 17, killed Austin Metcalf, also 17, on April 2 at the District 11-5A track meet at David Kuykendall Stadium. Anthony has said he acted in self-defense.

In a news release, Willis said the indictment will allow the case to move “formally into the court system,” adding a trial schedule has not yet been set.
“We know this case has struck a deep nerve — here in Collin County and beyond,“ he said. ”That’s understandable. When something like this happens at a school event, it shakes people to the core.

“But the justice system works best when it moves with steadiness and with principle. That’s what we’re committed to. And that’s exactly what this case deserves.”
In a video statement sent to The Dallas Morning News, Anthony’s attorney, Mike Howard, called the indictment “an expected and routine step in the legal process.”

“Please remember that there are real human beings — kids — on both sides of this case,” Howard said. “We ask that everyone do as the law requires and withhold judgement until all the evidence can be heard in court.”
He continued: “We are confident that when all of the facts are presented and the full story is heard, the jury will reach the right conclusion and justice will be done.”

According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, Anthony was waiting out a weather delay under a tent designated for Frisco Memorial High School students — where Metcalf attended school — when Metcalf told him to move.
Anthony, who was a student at Frisco Centennial High School, allegedly reached inside his bag and said “Touch me and see what happens,” the affidavit said. Metcalf then touched him, to which Anthony replied, “Punch me and see what happens.”
According to the report, Metcalf grabbed Anthony and again told him to move when Anthony pulled out a knife, stabbed Metcalf once in the chest and ran.

Anthony later told responding officers at the scene “He put his hands on me, I told him not to,” according to the affidavit.
The affidavit said Anthony also asked if Metcalf was going to be OK. Metcalf was pronounced dead at a hospital less than an hour after the stabbing.
Anthony has been on house arrest with an ankle monitor since late April, when his bond was significantly reduced from $1 million to $250,000, allowing for his release from jail.
The case, which drew national attention on social media, has caused security concerns for both families. The homes of Metcalf’s parents have been swatted repeatedly, while Anthony’s family said they had to move for their safety.

Jeff Metcalf, Austin Metcalf’s father, previously told The News he feels for the family of the alleged assailant, because “his life is over, his family will be devastated also.”
Jeff Metcalf described his son to be not only an all-district linebacker and the Memorial football team’s MVP, but a member of the National Honor Society with a 4.0 GPA. He dreamed of playing college ball.
“This was going to be his year,” Jeff Metcalf said.

Joy Reid still doesn’t know why she was fired from MSNBC but says her new show is thriving
Joy Reid left MSNBC in February and in June launched her immediately successful “The Joy Reid Show” podcast.
When Joy Reid was unceremoniously fired from MSNBC in February 2025 during what the network claims was an overhaul of their show lineups, bringing her popular show “The ReidOut” to an end, many folks wondered where she was going and what she would be doing next.

The answer to that question is “The Joy Reid Show,” a podcast that—according to Reid—got over a million streams in its first week and hasn’t missed a beat, boasting a backlog of requests to be on the show. In a recent sitdown on The Breakfast Club, Reid spoke about her new show (just launched on June 9) and what it’s been like since transitioning from MSNBC into the independent space, and if there have been any issues with guests, support or growing the audience.

“We’ve had no problems getting bookings and getting support, and I’ve actually been overwhelmed by how quickly the channel has grown.  Our growth trajectory is really good and really fast and so actually, I am very blessed to say: no issues,” said Reid. “We reached a million streams in literally a week.”
Seeing Reid land on her feet might not be a surprise to the legions of fans and supporters of her work and platforms over the years, but one question that most people still have is if she has yet to learn the real reason why she was let go since all theories about ratings and audience numbers have been debunked.

Charlamagne tha God asked her straight up, “Why did it come it [“The ReidOut”] to an end? You heard so many different rumors…the ratings were low…Trump didn’t want her  there…like what was it?”

Reid, ever the professional, laid out the story for those who are still curious about how and why a network cancels one of its successful shows.
“The thing is, it’s so interesting, and, you know, Steven A. Smith tried to come for me and say, ‘Oh, ratings.’ It’s like, yeah, no, that wasn’t it. Everybody, after the 2024 election, all of cable news went in the toilet. Like, everybody’s ratings dropped. And we had actually just had a ratings meeting, like, two weeks before I was fired, where they were like, ‘you guys are actually losing…less than, you know, your competitors and you’re actually doing fine. So our ratings were fine. We were doing fine,” she shared.

She continued,  “The ratings have not gotten better since I left. So it’s not numbers. It wasn’t ratings.” She further shared how she was let go and how the network handled it in the wake of a rumor in a story on the site “Puck” that is no longer available.
“Nobody had called me, nobody had said, ’You did something wrong, you’re in trouble, you’re on probation.’ I had gotten nothing. Then I get a text message early the next morning saying, ‘Can you talk at noon?’ And I was fired immediately. There was no warning. And I asked, ‘Well, you know, what’s the reason? Nothing. They were just like, ‘Oh, we just want to make some changes.’ They never said why.”

She added, “I’ve had to live in the rumor mill with everybody else.”
“The Joy Reid Show” is available wherever you get your podcasts.

JAY-Z Headlining Next Year's Super Bowl Halftime Show?

It's unclear as to where these rumors are coming from, but JAY-Z gracing that stage would be huge for a couple of reasons.
JAY-Z has been working with the NFL for about six years now. Him and his entertainment company, Roc Nation, have been responsible for putting together the Super Bowl Halftime performances. The league has ruffled some feathers along the way at times, particularly earlier this year.

Of course, it had to with them opting for Kendrick Lamar over Lil Wayne with the game being played in the latter's hometown of New Orleans. But even though a lot of people were upset at the move, the show was a smash hit overall. That could be said from a business perspective especially.

It became the most watched halftime show of all time with roughly 133.5 million viewers. That was more than the actual Super Bowl, which reportedly brought in 126 million. Of course, a lot of hip-hop fans were happy they got to hear Kendrick diss Drake on the biggest stage in the world.

'Married to Real Estate' Canceled at HGTV, Says Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson
Mike Jackson and Egypt Sherrod have announced that HGTV has canceled Married to Real Estate after four seasons.
The duo took to social media to share the “unexpected news” they received from the cable network following a trip.

“Mike and I just landed back in the States after an unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean, and we’re met with unexpected news: HGTV has decided not to move forward with Married to Real Estate,” read the statement on Instagram.
The statement continued, “While the chain of events leading up to this is disheartening, we are deeply grateful. Grateful for four incredible seasons. Grateful for our amazing crew and supportive fans. Grateful that our businesses continue to thrive. And most of all–grateful that we are still very much married to real estate (and to each other).”

Married to Real Estate revolved around Sherrod, a real estate broker and designer, and her husband, Jackson, an expert builder, as they helped Atlanta families buy homes with the potential to transform them into their dream homes. Sherrod had previously starred on HGTV in series like Property Virgins and Flipping Virgins.
In her statement online, Sherrod also said, “There’s more to say, and we’ll share soon. But for now, know this: not all setbacks are what they seem. Some blessings show up in disguise. We’ve been here before. We’ll keep counting those blessings–and keep it moving. Stay tuned.”

Deadline reached out to HGTV and Warner Bros. Discovery for comment and will update the post when we hear back.

Mahershala Ali “Call Marvel, I’m ready” still down to film Blade:

It’s been six years since Marvel Studios first unveiled Blade at San Diego Comic-Con, but the project has remained stuck in development hell ever since, cycling through writers and directors with no clear end in sight. One constant, however, has been Mahershala Ali, who remains committed to the role and is eager to finally bring Blade to life—assuming Marvel can ever get the film off the ground.

During the New York premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth, Ali was asked if he knew when production on Blade would finally begin. “Call Marvel,” he said. “I’m ready. Let them know I’m ready.”

I imagine Ali might be feeling a tad frustrated at this point, but kudos to him for sticking with it. Fans have been puzzled as to why Marvel is having so much trouble with Blade, including David S. Goyer, who scripted the original three movies starring Wesley Snipes.
“I think Blade is a relatively simple story. It’s not complicated. I always think about when you embark on a movie like this, you have to distil down what is the promise of the movie.” Goyer recently said. “The promise of a new Blade is that it should have insane ass kicking, it should be pretty scary, might be R-Rated, it doesn’t have to be, and it should not be complicated. It should be a simple story. So, I don’t know why it’s been so hard. I have no idea why. I’m baffled. Mahershala Ali is an amazing actor. I don’t know why.“

The Blade reboot has been through a lot. It was initially slated to be directed by Bassam Tariq, but Marvel reportedly grew concerned that he wasn’t the best fit for the project. The studio gave Mahershala Ali a list of potential replacements, but the actor conducted his own search and handpicked Yann Demange, who also exited the project. Blade was reportedly just weeks away from starting production in 2023 when the WGA strike hit and was followed by the SAG strike. Everything shut down, but Blade was left dormant even when the strikes concluded. Delroy Lindo and Aaron Pierre, who were reportedly attached to the project, departed, and new writers were brought in to tackle the script. The film has been removed from Marvel’s schedule. As it stands, Ali’s only appearance in the MCU has been a vocal cameo in the post-credit scene of Eternals.

DDG Requests Permission To Visit Son in Italy Amid Custody Battle With Halle Bailey

In a new breakthrough in the bitter custody battle between DDG and Halle Bailey, the latter has requested permission to visit their son, Halo, in Italy while he is in the temporary sole custody of Bailey.
DDG, born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., and his lawyer filed for visitation in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday, June 24. Bailey was previously granted temporary sole custody of the 18-month-old son they share after accusing the rapper of abuse.

Bailey is currently in Rome for two months to shoot a movie. According to a report from Billboard, DDG's lawyer, Larry Bakman, told Judge Latrice A.G. Byrdsong that he wished to visit their child at the end of the month under his mother — Halo's grandmother's — supervision. The judge granted his request, but stipulated that a professional should monitor the visits instead as requested by Bailey's lawyer, Jeremy Lane. Lane's reasoning was that DDG's mother has a history of "enabling" his abusive behavior the singer cited in her request for sole custody.

The judge says it's "reasonable" for DDG to be granted visitation rights overseas under the supervision of a professional monitor. If permission is granted, the judge also requested that DDG be unable to post the child on social media during the timeframe.

Both parties' lawyers are now searching for professional monitors ahead of their second court date on Thursday, June 26, to discuss the matter further.
DDG previously filed a motion to prevent Bailey from leaving the country with Halo. In a response to the motion, Bailey said, "I must be on set in Italy to film a movie. I am contractually bound to be there from June 7, 2025 to August 4, 2025. Darryl has known about this work obligation for months. This is my source of income, on which Halo and I rely to pay all bills."

The filing, which has been viewed by Complex, continued, "Darryl has not contributed any regular support since Halo was born. I will be held liable for damages to this film if I am not there, which I believe would be a breach of my contract. I cannot leave Halo with Darryl, as Darryl will be out of town a majority of those months. Halo is also a protected person by the Court's Temporary Restraining Order."
Bailey previously filed a police report and sought a court order for protection after DDG allegedly attacked her multiple times, some incidents being in front of Halo. As per the agreement, he is also not allowed to post or stream with the child.

Rihanna Looks Cozy While Showing Off Baby Bump at LAX
Rihanna is keeping her airport look cozy and chic as she shows off her baby bump.
The 37-year-old “Work” singer and Fenty Beauty owner was spotted outside LAX on Tuesday (June 24). She kept her look casual and cozy in a pair of white sweats, a cream hoodie, and matching tank top. Her hair was down in stylish braids and she topped off the airport look with a pair of trendy sunglasses.

While she exited her car, Rihanna‘s baby bump was on display. The business owner is currently pregnant with her third child with rapper beau A$AP Rocky.

The two broke the news that they were expecting another baby at the 2025 Met Gala. There, Rihanna turned heads in a tailored look that showed off her growing bump.
If you missed it, another singer recently cleared the air about her rumored feud with Rihanna.

Whoopi Goldberg Absent From 'The View' Amid Backlash For Comparing Black Americans And People In Iran
Whoopi Goldberg is absent from "The View" this week amid intense backlash for her controversial remarks about Iran.
The Oscar winner's comments sparked harsh criticism from Iranian dissidents and social media users, who called the comparison offensive and inaccurate.
Amid the uproar, Whoopi Goldberg appeared unfazed in a celebratory post from the Taobuk Festival, where she received an award for her book “Bits and Pieces.”

Goldberg is currently away from “The View” as the daytime talk show gears up for its annual summer break.
At the start of Monday’s live episode, cohost Joy Behar filled viewers in on Goldberg’s absence.
“We are all jealous of Whoopi today because she's in Italy — I hope it's 100 degrees,” Behar joked. "She's in Italy accepting an award for her book 'Bits and Pieces,' so she will be out this week."
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Oscar-winning actress is expected to return to the show’s roundtable on July 7, once the program resumes regular programming after its usual July 4th hiatus.

During her time away, Behar will step into the moderator role, a position she routinely fills on Fridays when Goldberg typically takes the day off. Ana Navarro also joined the panel for Monday’s discussion, alongside Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Goldberg is known for her bold and controversial remarks and was once suspended from "The View" in 2022 for saying that the Holocaust was "not about race."
Her comments at the time ignited a wave of backlash, which led to her subsequently issuing a statement, apologizing to Jewish people.
It read, "I'm sorry for the hurt I have caused. As Jonathan Greenblatt from the Anti-Defamation League shared, 'The Holocaust was about the Nazi's systematic annihilation of the Jewish people — who they deemed to be an inferior race.' I stand corrected."

The day after her apology statement, ABC News president, Kim Godwin, announced that Goldberg was suspended from "The View" for two weeks.
The actress returned after her suspension and resumed her role by stating that the show would continue to have "tough conversations."
Goldberg’s recent absence from “The View” comes on the heels of a fiery on-air exchange that stirred controversy online.
The heated moment unfolded during Wednesday’s episode when co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin condemned Iran’s oppressive regime, citing the execution of LGBTQ+ individuals and the imprisonment of women who violate strict dress codes.

However, Goldberg pushed back, making a provocative comparison between human rights abuses in Iran and violence against marginalized groups in the United States.
“We have been known in this country to tie gay folks to the car. Listen, I'm sorry. They used to just keep hanging black people,” Goldberg said. "It is the same.”

Griffin strongly disagreed, emphasizing the extreme restrictions placed on Iranian citizens under Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
“It is not even the same. I couldn't step foot wearing this outfit in Tehran right now," she pointed out, highlighting the dangers faced by Iranian women under the country’s morality laws.
Despite the pushback, Goldberg stood by her argument, "That's why I'm saying that it is the same," she insisted. "Murdering someone for their difference is not good, whoever does it. It's not good."

When Griffin countered that the U.S. is not Iran, Goldberg replied, “Not if you’re Black.”
Following her controversial comments comparing the Black American experience to life under Iran’s oppressive regime, Goldberg got slammed by Iranian dissidents and social media users.

Dr. Sheila Nazarian, an Iranian-born plastic surgeon who fled the country with her family in 1985 after her father was targeted by the regime, spoke out against Goldberg’s remarks in an interview with Fox News Digital.
"Whoopi Goldberg’s comparison between being Black in America and living under Iran’s authoritarian regime is deeply misguided and dismisses the brutal realities faced by millions of Iranians," she said.

Netizens also took to social media to slam Goldberg following her controversial comment, with some even calling for her to be "fired" from "The View."
However, Goldberg appears unbothered by the backlash as she shared a celebratory moment from Italy on Instagram.
She posted a photo from the Taobuk Taormina International Book Festival, where she received an award for her book “Bits and Pieces.”
"Thank you (Grazie!) @taobukfestival for giving me a beautiful experience in an extraordinary environment, an honorable award, and your kindness," she wrote. "Books are so important to all the world."

Offset Shocked When Celebrity Crush Sabrina Carpenter Is Revealed by Magic Trick: 'Artistically She Got It All Together'

Offset was visibly shocked when a magician accurately revealed his celebrity crush
Offset's celebrity crush has been magically revealed.
Magician Anna Guzman met with the rapper for Complex, where she tried to guess Offset's crush without him revealing it.

"Well, think about your love life. Do you have a celebrity crush right now? Someone we would all know," Guzman said in the video shared to Instagram on Tuesday, June 24, warning him not to say the name "out loud."
Guzman then asked if the person knew he had a crush on her, to which he said "no."
She then pressed him to see if his crush was an "artist" and asked him what his "favorite song" of her's was, but teased him when he couldn't name one.

"I feel like artistically, she's got it all together," said Offset, 33.
Guzman then handed the "Bad and Boujee" musician a piece of paper with a name that she had written earlier, which said "Sabrina Carpenter."
"How you get this right?" That's crazy. That's crazy," said the "Open It Up" performer, who was visibly shocked.
He continued: "This is cap! No way. I ain't never said this before."

Guzman then expressed she was surprised that Carpenter, 26, was his "type."
Offset is currently estranged from Cardi B, who filed for divorce from him for a second time in July 2024.
The former couple, who have had an on-again, off-again relationship since 2017, share three children.

Cardi initially filed for divorce in September 2020 amid infidelity rumors, but called it off two months later.
The "Bongos" singer said that she was single and that she and Offset broke up in December 2023.
However, the pair were seen holding hands months later at a Met Gala afterparty.
A rep for Cardi confirmed that she filed for divorce from Offset a second time in July 2024.

The following day, she then announced on Instagram that she was expecting her third child with the rapper, whom they welcomed last September.

Trump’s Nobel Peace Nomination Pulled After Failing to Deliver on Russia Ukraine Ceasefire
Trump loses backing from key Ukrainian official over stalled Russia Ukraine peace efforts and shift in focus to the Middle East
Iran Vows Retaliation After Trump Orders Airstrikes on Nuclear Sites: “Everlasting Consequences”
Ukrainian lawmaker Oleksandr Merezhko, who once believed Donald Trump could broker peace between Kyiv and Moscow, has officially withdrawn his Nobel Peace Prize nomination. The withdrawal comes as hopes for a negotiated ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia continue to fade and Trump’s diplomatic focus has shifted toward the Middle East.

Merezhko, chair of Ukraine’s parliamentary foreign committee, initially nominated Trump in November, banking on the Republican leader’s vow to end the war in 24 hours if re-elected. But with Russia still holding out on US proposals and Ukraine under fresh attack, Merezhko now says Trump has failed to follow through, accusing him of appeasement, silence on missile strikes, and reluctance to sanction the Kremlin.

While Trump appeared more invested in brokering a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, an effort Ukraine fears could redirect American military resources and political capital, Kyiv is left watching its war slip further from global priority.
Trump recently told followers he was watching oil prices, but Ukrainian officials say those rising prices may only benefit Russia as tensions in the Middle East drive markets upward. Meanwhile, the EU is backing away from a new price cap on Russian oil.

Despite the setback from Ukraine, Trump’s international standing took a twist after Pakistan pledged to nominate him for the next Nobel Peace Prize, calling him a genuine peacemaker for his involvement in calming tensions between Pakistan and India. India, however, is not giving him that much credit.
