#RHOA: Porsha Williams Claps Back at Momma Dee When Criticized for Treatment of Drew Sidora!
Porsha Williams is having a controversial season on “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Some fans feel like Porsha’s return to the show has left a lot to be desired. She hasn’t been able to say much about her pending divorce from Simon Guobadia due to a cease and desist. In turn, her fallout with Drew Sidora has been a focal point. Porsha became icy to Drew when she learned her RHOA costar had been filming scenes with Dennis McKinley. Drew didn’t understand the pushback since she reached out to Porsha repeatedly via text messages and Porsha didn’t get back to her.

Regardless, Porsha and Shamea Morton later filmed a scene with Ralph Pittman which many feel like was nothing but payback. Shamea said the whole point was to find out if Drew had been sleeping with Dennis. Messya accusations were made about Drew.

Drew addressed all of this in the After Show episodes. She said that Porsha meant to be hurtful when she filmed with Ralph. Drew did not work with Dennis to spite Porsha. Nor did she film any scenes with Dennis in which she bad-mouthed Porsha. But Shamea and Porsha filmed with Ralph knowing he had been trashing her and he would do exactly that on camera. In her opinion, if she wanted to get even, she could film with Simon. But she wouldn’t take it there because she isn’t that kind of person.

To no surprise, a lot of people have strong opinions about Drew and Porsha’s fallout. “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Momma Dee expressed her thoughts when she recently introduced Drew at an event.

Momma Dee said, “Come on, Drew. Yes! Her and Porsha, it’s some mess going on. I don’t know what’s going on with Porsha this season. But she’s not cool with Drew for taking her hot dog man. I don’t know why she thinks Drew wants a hot dog man. It’s all good ‘cause Momma Dee speaks that truth. Give it up for Drew Sidora!”

Porsha responded on the Bravo Shaderoom’s post.
She said, “@dennismckinley has 1 baby mother and well established! & with great artists on his record label. Put that tooth in and he just might sign you Momma D, love ya .”

Dennis wrote, “I love Scrappy, I don’t speak bad to anyone’s mother & I respect my elders so I’m just gonna be quiet here.  ♥️”

#MusicNews: Teyana Taylor Returns With New Single ‘Long Time’

Teyana Taylor has officially kicked off a new musical era with “Long Time,” the lead single from her upcoming album,
On the moody dance track produced by Rico Love and The Runners, Taylor contemplates a past relationship, recognizing that she stayed longer than she should have.
“I kept you inspired / I lent you my fire / You let me get tired / And the truth is, I didn’t end when it was over,” she sings over a pulsating beat.
“Long Time” is the first offering from Taylor’s upcoming album, Escape Room. The project, which will release via Def Jam, will be accompanied by a short film that she produced under her company, The Aunties.

Taylor stars in the futuristic, noir romance thriller alongside Aaron Pierre and LaKeith Stanfield. Pierre and Stanfield appear in the video for “Long Time,” which sets the scene for what will unfold in the short film.
According to a press release, Escape Room is a visual representation of the album that explores “the ombré effects of life’s journey from the darkness of all aspects of heartbreak (i.e., friendships, career, family, etc.) to the lightness of healing.”

The synopsis continues, “This multi-faceted body of work traces the entire human experience, delivering both a relatable and universal piece of art that audiences can make their own. Escape Room ultimately creates a safe space to break free from whatever we need to escape, leaving hurt behind, and reaching healing.”
Escape Room will arrive five years since releasing The Album in 2020. The 25-track set included the gold-selling singles “Bare Wit Me,” “How You Want It?” featuring King Combs, “Wake Up Love” featuring her now ex-husband IMAN and “Morning” with Kehlani.

The Album also included appearances from Ms. Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, Future, Big Sean, Davido, Quavo, Rick Ross and Taylor’s daughter Junie.
Since The Album, Taylor focused her attention on building The Aunties, which included directing music videos for singers like Monica, Coco Jones and Bryson Tiller.
Taylor expanded her acting resumé, starring in films such as Coming 2 America (2021), A Thousand and One (2023) and The Book of Clarence (2023).

She stars in Tyler Perry’s upcoming film Straw, alongside Taraji P. Henson and Sherri Shepherd. The drama will stream on Netflix beginning June 6.
This fall, Taylor will return to the big screens in the comedy action film One Battle After Another opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio del Toro, Alana Haim and Regina Hall. The movie hits theaters on Sept. 26

#HipHopNews: UMG Threatened To Kill Pop Smoke's Album Over Alleged Drake Diss.
UMG allegedly threatened to kill Pop Smoke‘s posthumous debut album over their belief that a Pusha T guest verse featured a diss aimed at Drake.
According to Steven Victor, who manages Pusha and signed Pop to his Victor Victor Worldwide imprint, UMG wanted to censor the verse.

He said to Billboard: “What happened on the Pop Smoke song is that UMG thought that he was dissing Drake on that song. He wasn’t, but they thought he was. Pop Smoke was released on my label and obviously I managed Pusha. So they came to me and said, ‘We’re not going to put this out now, unless you get Pusha to change these lyrics.’ Even though it has nothing to do with Pop Smoke, they’re like, ‘Either he changes these lyrics, or we’re not putting the album out.’

Victor added: “What happened to freedom of speech? First of all, he’s not dissing Drake. But how do you get to tell him to just change his lyrics or you’re not putting this album out?”
Pusha was eventually taken off the song and “Paranoia” featured on Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon without the Virginia MC.

However, the song did eventually leak online with many fans believing that Pusha was indeed taking aim at Drake on the track.
Pusha was also called out by Young Thug over his verse: “I don’t respect the Pusha T verse on the song with me and Gunna cause I don’t have nun to do with y’all beef nor does Gunna, and if I knew that was about him I would’ve made changes on our behalf.. this rapper shit so gay.”

Pusha would snap back: “Don’t feel bad, nobody knew what the verse was abt. The label heads that stopped it didn’t even know. They only assume because he told them. The same way he told about the Ross ‘Maybach 6’ verse. And if he’ll tell record executives abt rap verses, God knows what else he’ll tell. I don’t deal in police work, police rappers or police n-ggas!!”

He added: “I would never look or need your respect for what it is I bring to this rap game.”

Russell Simmons Sues HBO For $20M For Ignoring CIA-Grade Polygraph Tests & Ruining His Reputation

Russell Simmons filed a $20 million lawsuit against HBO, claiming the network and filmmakers ignored evidence and defamed him in the documentary “On the Record.”

Russell Simmons helped shape HBO’s legacy with culture-defining shows like Def Comedy Jam and Def Poetry, but now he’s suing the network for $20 million over a documentary he says defamed him and ignored key evidence in his defense.
The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, targets HBO’s former CEO John Stankey, Warner Bros. Discovery and filmmakers Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick over the 2020 film On the Record, which centers on multiple women accusing Simmons of sexual misconduct.
Simmons claims the film damaged his reputation and business interests by presenting a one-sided narrative.

He alleges the filmmakers and HBO “ignored and suppressed” interviews, polygraph results, and statements that could have supported his version of events.
He also accuses them of deceptive business practices and emotional distress.
The lawsuit demands the immediate removal of On the Record from all HBO and Warner Bros. Discovery platforms and seeks at least $20 million in damages, plus legal fees.

Simmons’ attorney, Imran Ansari, argues the film’s continued distribution amounts to “republication” of defamatory content. The complaint states that despite being presented with exculpatory material, the filmmakers “chose to disregard” it.
The documentary premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2020 and was later released on HBO Max. Before its debut, Oprah Winfrey withdrew as executive producer, citing “inconsistencies” in the accounts presented.
Simmons settled with accuser Sil-Lai Abrams in November 2023, one of several women featured in the film. Simmons entered into confidential settlements with at least six women, totaling nearly $8 million, although some allege that he failed to pay the agreed-upon amounts.

More than 20 women have publicly accused Simmons of sexual misconduct, with alleged incidents dating back to the 1980s. Simmons has consistently denied all allegations, stating, “I have never had a sexual encounter that was not consensual or lawful.”
In the lawsuit, Simmons also pointed to support from civil rights leaders and members of Congress who urged the filmmakers to consider additional evidence.

He claims their requests were ignored.
The legal filing accuses HBO of continuing to distribute the film internationally, which Simmons says has amplified the damage to his reputation.

Kanye West Sets Record Straight On OnlyFans Account With Bianca Censori
Kanye West is responding to speculation that he and his wife Bianca Censori launched their own OnlyFans account.

Kanye West addressed rumors about a supposed OnlyFans page featuring him and his wife, Bianca Censori, calling out a fake account that had been circulating online.
On Tuesday night (June 3), the divisive rapper posted a screenshot of the page in question, titled “yeandbianca,” which showed a header image of the couple and a bio that read simply: “YZY PRN.”
West made it clear the account wasn’t theirs, writing bluntly, “This is not real.”

The bogus profile appeared to piggyback off West’s previous announcement that he’s launching an adult entertainment brand under the Yeezy label.
Last year he teased the project with a six-second clip captioned: “Yeezy P### is c######,” featuring a voiceover directing users to “go to yeezy.com.”
A second version of the teaser echoed the same message, flashing the words “Yeezy P### Is On Its Way” while again urging viewers to visit his site.

According to TMZ, a Yeezy spokesperson confirmed that the adult content division is officially part of the company and stated that West had tapped adult film producer Mike Moz to help oversee the venture.
The move stirred criticism, especially from those who pointed to West’s past gospel music and his public comments about distancing himself from pornography after admitting a crippling past addiction.
“Playboy was my gateway into full-blown pornography addiction,” Kanye West revealed in 2019. “My dad had a Playboy left out at age five, and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life. From age five to now having to kick the habit.”

Photographer Claims Record Executive Regretted Not Signing Whitney Houston

A documentary exploring the musical journey of the late Whitney Houston reveals the record label executive who missed their chance to sign the singer. The project, Whitney Houston in Focus is based on Bette Marshall’s photography book about Houston’s life before her career propelled her to superstardom with Clive Davis.
According to Page Six, the film claims that Houston once auditioned for CBS Records President Al Teller, who passed on signing her to the label. Teller, who, the film notes once worked as Davis’s assistant, reportedly said that the vocalist needed to mature. It is also revealed that Bruce Lundvall, president of Elektra Records at the time, offered the legendary pop star a deal that Houston declined.

“That was probably the line in his life he most regretted,” Marshall detailed in the film. “To have been there at the beginning was a gift. For that experience to have been captured so beautifully in this film is yet another gift.
Whitney In Focus, is written and directed by Benjamin Alfonsi and produced with Broadway star Audra McDonald. The film premiered at the Doc NYC Festival in 2023 and is available to stream on STARZ. It features never-before-seen photos of a young Whitney Houston that Marshall shot from 1982 until 1986.

“It’s humbling to know that millions of viewers will get to see this side of Whitney. I think they’ll be surprised, and hopefully touched,” Alfonsi said in a statement, per Page Six.

Jessie J Reveals She Has Early-Stage Breast Cancer
Jessie J is standing by the title of her new song “No Secrets” — literally. The singer recently let her fans in on a deeply personal chapter of her life, as she has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
In true Jessie fashion, she shared the news with honesty and a little humor. In a candid Instagram video posted on Tuesday (June 3), Jessie explained that she had been going “back and forth” about whether to speak publicly, but ultimately decided to share with her supporters.

“I want to share it with my fans and the people that care about me, and also I’m a sharer,” she said. “I’ve always shared everything that I go through in my life. Before ‘No Secrets’ came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer.”
The timing is especially poignant, as her song “No Secrets” dropped in April, just as she was navigating the emotional weight of her diagnosis. In her video, the “Bang Bang” belter emphasized the word early, acknowledging that, while cancer is frightening in any form, she’s clinging to hope and gratitude for doctors catching it soon.

Jessie joked that she’s “getting to keep [her] nipples,” calling it “a very dramatic way to get a boob job.” On a more serious note, she shared that she’ll be stepping away from the spotlight for “a lil bit” after Capital’s Summertime Ball on June 15 to undergo surgery. Still finding light in the moment, she added, “I will come back with massive t*ts and more music,” before quipping, “No (more) Secrets and is it too soon to do a remix called ‘Living my breast life’?”

Without completely turning the news into a standup comedy, Jessie made it clear that humor is the way she copes with real life issues. “All jokes aside (you know it’s one of the ways I get through hard times), this last 2 months have been so amazing, and having this go on alongside it on the sidelines has given me the most incredible perspective. BUT… your girl needs a hug.”

Former WH Press Secretary Karinne Jean Pierre + Quits Party Over Biden's‘ Betrayal’ and writes a new book about her time in the WH!

Karine Jean-Pierre, former White House press secretary under President Biden, is leaving the Democratic Party and registering as an independent.
In her forthcoming memoir, “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” she blasts the Democratic Party for what she calls a “betrayal” after Biden ended his re-election campaign.

The book, due out in October, argues it “can be worthwhile to carve a political space more loyal to personal beliefs than a party affiliation.”
Some Democrats reacted sharply. “If you lost the will to fight, then get out of the party,” said longtime aide Jonathan Kott. Strategist Caitlin Legacki urged Jean-Pierre to thank Biden “for doing the responsible thing.”

Former Biden spokesman Andrew Bates declined to comment.

‘One of Them Days’ Sequel in the Works with Keke Palmer and SZA
Keke Palmer and SZA shined in this year’s “One of Them Days,” a buddy comedy that captured the chaos and charm of two friends scrambling to make rent in a single, wild day.
I didn’t cover this film much when it came out, but it’s somewhat worth checking out. While it doesn’t break any new ground, it delivered a strong, laid-back vibe and managed to attract a decent audience along the way. Nothing more, nothing less.

Considering its low production cost, the film turned out to be a commercial success. Shot on a modest $14M budget, it grossed over $51M worldwide, more than tripling its production costs, and now a sequel has been ordered by TriStar, less than three months after its release.
Palmer and SZA are set to reprise their roles in the upcoming sequel, with the original creative team also on board, though story details remain tightly under wraps. TriStar seems to be fastracking this one.

Directed by Lawrence Lamont and penned by Syreeta Singleton, the film blended humor with heartfelt moments as Dreux (Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) navigated a series of misadventures across Los Angeles. Their chemistry was undeniable, anchoring a narrative filled with quirky characters and unexpected twists.
Like “Friday” before it, “One of Them Days” blended street humor with a day-in-the-life structure that captured the vibe of a very specific time, place, and community. No surprise, it might become a cult favorite much like “Friday,” but then again, such a rapidly greenlit sequel could water down its reputation.

Tyler Perry praises Sinbad in new movie Straw, his first role since stroke 5 years ago: 'He delivered'

"I know it's been really difficult for him," Perry adds of Sinbad's recovery after suffering an ischemic stroke in 2020.
Nearly five years after suffering a major stroke, Sinbad has made his return to the silver screen.
The 68-year-old actor and comedian makes his return to acting in Tyler Perry's Straw. Sinbad, who real name is David Adkins, stars alongside Taraji P. Henson,  Sherri Shepherd, Teyana Taylor, Glynn Turman, and Rockmond Dunbar in the whodunnit thriller that premieres on Netflix June 6.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight during a screening of the film in New York City on Tuesday, Perry praised the Coneheads star for his resilience after a "really difficult" time.
"It's so important to me, as a man, that men want to support and take care of their families," Perry, 55, told the outlet. "I know it's been really difficult for him, so to give him this opportunity made me feel amazing. I'm really excited for him. And he delivered."

Sinbad suffered an ischemic stroke in October 2020. At the time, his family released a statement sharing that he had suffered a stroke due to a blood clot traveling from his heart to his brain, and they were "faithful and optimistic that he will bring laughter into our hearts soon."
Two years after the health scare, the Jingle All the Way star's family posted a photo of him learning how to walk again on Instagram. At the time, the family said in a statement, "He continues to receive therapy, fighting for every inch. His progress is nothing short of remarkable."

The comedian has made virtual and in-person appearances since then, including a virtual appearance at the A Different World HBCU College Tour event in March 2024 to join his fellow castmates from the beloved sitcom to raise money for HBCU scholarships and encourage enrollment.

Two months after that, he took the stage at the Netflix is a Joke Presents: Sinbad Tribute Show at the YouTube Theater in L.A. Hosted by Doug E. Fresh, the tribute show benefited the Sinbad Special Needs Trust, and featured comedic performances from Deon Cole, D.L. Hughley, Byron Allen, Mark Curry and DJ Trauma.

Now, Sinbad is taking another leap in his recovery with his role as Benny in Straw. The Netflix film follows Janiyah (Henson), a struggling single mother caught up in a chaotic conspiracy that forces her to make impossible choices to care for her sick daughter.
Sinbad is learning how to walk again after his 2020 stroke: 'I will not stop fighting'
Taraji P. Henson says it 'wasn't hard' relating to struggling single mom in 'Straw'

"This one is a thriller, and I've never done a thriller with Tyler, so I was interested in that," Henson previously told Entertainment Weekly of the film. "There's a twist that happens that you don't see coming — a whodunnit, in a sense. I can't give away too much, so I'm trying to talk around it, but there's some crazy twists and turns in there that'll take you by surprise, that absolutely take the character by surprise."
Henson was struck by how Straw "showcases how easy it is for people in a vulnerable position to be disregarded or disenfranchised by a system that is supposed to protect them."

"That seems to be still an ongoing thing in society today," she added. "I often see people having mental breakdowns on Instagram, and people post it in jest or making fun of it, but I'm like, at the end of the day, was that person treated like trash, or were they treated like a human who needed help? So I'm always interested in that, and that's what I found very interesting about playing this character. This woman is just trying to make it through her day and take care of her child by herself, with all the odds stacked against her. I've been there before."
The knowledge that "we're all one paycheck away" from becoming Janiyah is something that Henson said she hopes inspires empathy in viewers after seeing everything she goes through on screen.

"That's why I've made it a mission of mine to actually see people," she says. "I was a struggling mom before. I remember when all I could afford was Hamburger Helper meals. It wasn't hard for me to reach back to those memories. It makes me grateful for all of that I've accomplished, for sure."
Straw arrives on Netflix Friday, June 6.

Lady Gaga’s stunning Pride month hair transformation
This wasn’t just any ordinary hair change. This was Gaga making a statement, serving looks, and basically reminding everyone why she’s been the queen of reinvention for over a decade. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, coinciding with the start of Pride Month and setting the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable summer of self-expression.

Let’s talk about this hair, because wow. Gaga’s latest creation reached astronomical heights – we’re talking about at least eight inches of perfectly teased platinum blonde perfection towering above her head. The French word “bouffant” literally means “puffed out,” and this look took that definition to entirely new levels.

The styling was absolutely meticulous. Every strand appeared deliberately placed to create maximum volume and impact. This wasn’t some casual weekend experiment with a curling iron – this was high-fashion hair artistry at its finest. The platinum shade was so brilliant it practically glowed under the event lighting, creating an almost ethereal effect that photographs couldn’t fully capture.

What made this look even more spectacular was how it played against the event’s theatrical setting. Posing alongside Wednesday star Jenna Ortega in a purple velvet-lined coffin, Gaga’s towering bouffant created a striking visual contrast that was equal parts glamorous and gothic. The juxtaposition was pure genius – soft, voluminous hair against hard, dramatic props.
But the hair was only part of the story. Gaga’s makeup artist clearly understood the assignment, creating a look that perfectly complemented the dramatic hairstyle while adding layers of meaning to the overall aesthetic. The pale, almost porcelain complexion served as a blank canvas, allowing other elements to take center stage.

The bleached eyebrows were a particularly inspired choice, creating a cohesive color story with the platinum hair while giving Gaga an otherworldly appearance. This technique has become increasingly popular in high-fashion circles, and seeing it executed so flawlessly on such a major platform was genuinely exciting for beauty enthusiasts.

The eye makeup told its own story entirely. Heavy, dramatic application created depth and intensity, drawing attention upward toward that magnificent bouffant. The contrast between the light hair and dark eyes created a compelling visual tension that kept viewers engaged and guessing.
Perhaps most striking was the bold red lipstick, applied in a deliberately imperfect way with color bleeding beyond the natural lip line on one corner. This wasn’t a mistake – it was artistic intention, adding an element of controlled chaos to an otherwise perfectly orchestrated look.

For those who follow Gaga‘s career closely, this transformation represents something much more significant than a simple hair change. The pop icon has always used her appearance as a form of artistic expression, and this latest look continues that tradition while exploring themes of duality and contrast.
The concept of light versus dark has been a recurring motif in Gaga’s recent artistic choices. Earlier during her Coachella headlining performance, her styling team deliberately explored this theme, creating looks that embodied both gothic darkness and ethereal lightness. This Netflix event look perfectly captured that same energy, with the brilliant blonde hair serving as the light element against darker makeup choices.

This artistic approach reflects Gaga’s understanding that true artistry often comes from embr-acing contradictions rather than avoiding them. The ability to be simultaneously soft and hard, light and dark, approachable and mysterious – these contradictions make her endlessly fascinating as a performer and style icon.
The timing of this transformation couldn’t have been more intentional or meaningful. As Pride Month officially began, Gaga’s bold new look served as a powerful reminder of the importance of authentic self-expression and the courage required to live openly and unapologetically.

Throughout her career, Gaga has been a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and has consistently used her platform to promote acceptance and celebration of all identities. This dramatic hair transformation fits perfectly within that narrative, demonstrating once again that there’s no wrong way to express yourself when you’re being genuine.
The look also represents the kind of fearless creativity that Pride Month celebrates. It takes real confidence to debut such a dramatic transformation at a major industry event, knowing that every angle will be photographed and analyzed. But that’s exactly the kind of bold authenticity that makes Gaga such an important figure in both entertainment and activism.

Creating a bouffant of this magnitude requires serious technical skill and planning. The amount of backcombing, teasing, and product application needed to achieve this height while maintaining the shape throughout an entire evening is genuinely impressive from a hairstyling perspective.

The hair had to be strong enough to hold its shape under hot lights and through multiple photo sessions, yet soft enough to move naturally when Gaga turned her head or changed positions. Achieving this balance requires not just artistic vision but serious technical expertise.

The color work was equally impressive. Achieving that level of platinum blonde requires multiple processing sessions and careful maintenance to prevent damage. The evenness of the tone and the brilliant shine suggest professional color work of the highest caliber, likely involving custom formulations to achieve that specific shade.
If history tells us anything, it’s that Gaga’s bold style choices often predict broader beauty trends. This bouffant moment is likely to inspire countless interpretations throughout the summer, from scaled-down versions for everyday wear to full-scale recreations for special events.

Beauty enthusiasts are already taking note of the specific techniques used to create this look, from the teasing methods to the color choices. Expect to see variations of this aesthetic appearing at music festivals, Pride events, and fashion shows throughout the coming months.
The look also represents a return to more dramatic, statement-making hairstyles after several years of more minimalist beauty trends. This could signal a broader shift toward embracing maximalist beauty choices and encouraging people to take bigger risks with their personal style.

As we dive deeper into Pride Month and summer 2025, Gaga’s stunning bouffant serves as the perfect reminder that self-expression should be bold, unapologetic, and absolutely fabulous. Sometimes the best way to make a statement is to reach for the sky – literally.

DDG asks judge to stop Halle Bailey from traveling with their son

DDG and ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey are continuing to hash out their custody issues in court.
On June 4, lawyers for the 27-year-old rapper and Twitch streamer – born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. – requested a temporary emergency order in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to a filing reviewed by USA TODAY.

The filing, made as part of Bailey's restraining order case against DDG that was initiated in May, asks the judge to prohibit the 25-year-old actress from traveling to Italy with their 18-month-old son, Halo. His team also asked for a continuance, or a postponement, of the domestic violence restraining order hearing that had been scheduled for June 4.

According to People and E! News, in a 44-page filing, DDG's lawyers leveled allegations that cast doubt on Bailey's fitness as a parent, calling her "an imminent emotional and psychological risk."
Per Billboard, the judge overseeing the case indicated she would soon issue an order on whether Bailey can travel with their son on June 4. The next hearing in the case is reportedly June 24.

Bailey had been granted a temporary restraining order from DDG the same day she filed her request, according to a May 13 notice reviewed by USA TODAY.
In her May filing, Bailey accused DDG of physical, emotional, verbal and financial abuse and requested full legal and physical custody of Halo.
As a result of DDG's alleged abuse, Bailey demanded no-contact and stay-away orders for herself and Halo that prevented DDG from getting in touch with the mother-son pair, in addition to requiring the rapper to remain 100 yards away from them and to stop posting about Bailey and Halo on social media.

"I realize that there is no placating Darryl," Bailey wrote in a statement attached to the filing. "I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this. I never know when he is going to demand our son be in his mother's care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse."

Byron Allen Selling 28 Local TV Stations
Last year media mogul Byron Allen was accused of falling behind on his broadcast fees to ABC, CBS and NBC after buying more than 20 TV networks

Now Allen has put his TV empire up for sale...Byron Allen is putting his local TV stations up for sale.
Allen’s Allen Media Group (AMG) says that it has hired the investment bank Moelis & Company to market its local stations, which are comprised of 28 ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox affiliated stations in 21 markets.
AMG owns stations in Honolulu, Hawaii; Madison, Wisconsin; Montgomery, Alabama; Flint, Michigan; and Tucson, Arizona, among other cities. The company says that it will use the cash generated from any sale to “significantly reduce” its outstanding debt.
“Six years ago, Allen Media Group began the process of investing over one billion dollars to acquire big four network-affiliated television stations. We have received numerous inquiries and written offers for most of our television stations and now is the time to explore getting a return on this phenomenal investment,” said AMG founder and CEO Byron Allen. “We are going to use this opportunity to take a serious look at the offers, and the sale proceeds will be used to significantly reduce our debt.”

The company has had to undergo cuts over the last year or so as it has grappled with a rapidly changing media environment. In February it refinanced its $100 million revolving credit facility to give it more runway to execute.
The sale plans, cuts and refinancing are indicative of many of the issues facing linear TV companies, which are feeling the pinch of cord-cutting )local stations are beneficiaries of retransmission fees, just like cable channels) as well as a more competitive advertising environment, with tech and entertainment giants moving toward more automated ad buying.

Navy to rename USNS Harvey Milk during Pride Month, prompting outrage

The U.S. Navy is renaming the USNS Harvey Milk, a ship honoring one of the first openly gay elected officials, without providing a reason.
The move aligns with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s directive to eliminate cultural observances like Pride Month and rename assets.
Lawmakers and activists are calling the decision a targeted rollback of LGBTQIA+ recognition in the military — part of a broader culture war under the Trump administration.

According to NBC News, the U.S. Navy confirmed it will rename the USNS Harvey Milk, a fleet replenishment oiler named after the LGBTQIA+ rights pioneer and Navy veteran. The decision arrives during Pride Month, a move that critics say sends a troubling message about the erasure of LGBTQIA+ contributions. The Navy did not provide a reason for the renaming.

As the publication explained, Harvey Milk served in the Navy from 1951 to 1955 as an operations officer aboard the USS Chanticleer and the USS Kittiwake. Decades later, he made history in 1977 as one of the first openly gay elected officials in the U.S., winning a seat on San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors. Milk and Mayor George Moscone were assassinated a year later by ex-supervisor Dan White, whose lenient sentence sparked violent protests.

The USNS Harvey Milk, launched in 2021, is part of a class of Navy ships, named after civil rights icons including Thurgood Marshall, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Harriet Tubman and others. Per NBC News and the Navy’s official website, the class as a whole was named after late Congressman John Lewis. Milk’s inclusion was intended to honor both his military service and hiss historic advocacy.

Pentagon directive targets “identity months” and civil rights figures
The vessel’s renaming aligns with recent directives from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth under President Donald Trump. In a statement shared by NBC News, Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell stated, “Secretary Hegseth is committed to ensuring that the names attached to all DOD installations and assets are reflective of the Commander-in-Chief’s priorities, our nation’s history and the warrior ethos.”

In January, Hegseth issued a controversial order titled “Identity Months Dead at DoD,” ending official recognition of LGBTQ Pride Month, Black History Month and others. “Efforts to divide the force — to put one group ahead of another — erode camaraderie and threaten mission execution,” the memo read.

Political leaders condemn USNS Harvey Milk renaming
California Sen. Alex Padilla condemned the move, stating, “Harvey Milk’s legacy will not be erased by Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth’s petty culture wars and attempts to undermine the tremendous contributions and service of the LGBTQ+ community to our country.” Others, including Sen. Chuck Schumer, expressed the same sentiments on social media.
The Navy has yet to announce the ship’s new name. For many, however, the decision represents more than a change of title — it signals a shift in how the Department of Defense views diversity, legacy and inclusion.

Samuel L. Jackson Recalls Near-Death Experience When He Was 'Dragged by a Subway Train'
Samuel L. Jackson is looking back at a terrifying incident. During a recent appearance on Paloma Faith‘s Mad Sad Bad podcast, the 76-year-old Pulp Fiction actor recalled nearly getting dragged to death by a subway in New York City years ago.
“I got dragged by a subway train in New York… I got dragged by the A train,” Samuel recalled. “I was in the middle door of the last car, and it was a long-ass train station. And when the door closed on my foot, [the] train took off. So I’m sitting there thinking, I’m like, ‘Oh, f‑‑k, I’m going to die.’”

Samuel said that he saw the end of the platform rapidly approaching while he was stuck in the train door.
“I could see the tunnel coming, and I couldn’t figure out anything that I could grab or hold on to and get close to the train so I wouldn’t get killed in the tunnel,” he explained.

Fortunately, someone aboard the train jumped into action and was able to stop the train before Samuel got seriously injured.
“It just slowed down really, really slow, until all of a sudden the train stopped,” the Shaft actor added.
Samuel previously shared the near-death experience in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2021. In that interview, he said that incident occurred in December 1988, caused him to tear his ACL and meniscus, which forced him to spend 10 months on crutches and more than a year in physical rehab. He sued the New York Transit Authority and was ultimately awards $540,000, according to Deseret News.

Octavia Spencer Rekindling the Madness as ‘Ma’ Sequel Moves Forward at Blumhouse

Looks like Ma is not done yet. Ya’ll remember that film? Before we refresh your memories, let’s get some of the important stuff out the way. Blumhouse Productions has confirmed that a follow up to their cult-favorite thriller Ma is officially in development and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer is stepping back into her sinister role that left audiences shaken and obsessed. Ma, though.

It’s still early so the studio hasn’t named a director or screenwriter for the sequel just yet, one thing is clear. Spencer’s return is locked in. Blumhouse founder Jason Blum shared his excitement, stating, “Ma has proven to be a social phenomenon since its release in 2019, with fans eagerly embracing the film and Octavia’s iconic performance as Ma.” He added, “Ma likes to say ‘don’t make me drink alone’ so we’re thrilled Octavia will join us again for a second round.”

The original film, which was considered a hit, basically, introduced viewers to Sue Ann, a quiet loner in a sleepy Ohio town who suddenly finds herself playing host to a group of local teens. After agreeing to buy alcohol for the underage crew, she invites them to party safely in her basement. But her warm welcome quickly sours. With rules like one kid must stay sober and never go upstairs, things take a dark turn. What starts as a teen dream quickly spirals into a chilling nightmare as Ma’s obsession grows more dangerous by the hour.

Directed by Tate Taylor, who previously worked with Spencer on The Help, the film defied expectations with a modest five million dollar budget and a global box office haul of sixty one million dollars. It quickly became a staple in pop culture circles, giving life to viral memes and memorable quotes that still surface across the Gram and other platforms.

The first successful installment also featured a strong supporting cast including Juliette Lewis, Diana Silvers, Corey Fogelmanis, Gianni Paolo, McKaley Miller, Luke Evans, Missi Pyle and Allison Janney.

Bettor who bragged about heckling U.S. sprinter Gabby Thomas during loss banned by FanDuel
FanDuel has banned a bettor who bragged about heckling U.S. sprinter Gabby Thomas during a Grand Slam Track event and declared on social media that her loss in a race "made my parlay win."
FanDuel announced the ban in a statement provided to media Wednesday.
“FanDuel condemns in the strongest terms abusive behavior directed towards athletes,” the statement reads. “Threatening or harassing athletes is unacceptable and has no place in sports. This customer is no longer able to wager with FanDuel.”

Thomas, who won three gold medals at the Paris Olympics, competed in two races at the Grand Slam Track meet in Philadelphia last weekend. She finished second in the 200 meters on Saturday and fourth in the 100 meters on Sunday. Melissa Jefferson-Wooden won both races.
The heckler describes himself as "The Track and Field Bully" in his social-media bio. He posted video of himself in the stands at the starting line of Sunday's 100-meter race yelling at and heckling Thomas as runners prepared to take the starting blocks.

"Don't choke, Gabby, like you did yesterday, Gabby," he yelled. "You a choke artist. You going down, Gabby."
This went on for more than a minute on the video, which included the heckler making comments about Thomas' husband.
The heckler wrote alongside the video that "I made Gabby lose by heckling her. And it made my parlay win." The post included a screenshot of a $1,000 FanDuel parlay slip with Jefferson-Wooden picked to win.
The heckler also posted separate video of himself yelling directly at Thomas as she walked on the track between events. Thomas responded with a smile, asking, "What are you doing here?"
Thomas responded to the heckler's social-media post with one of her own Monday.

"This grown man followed me around the track as I took pictures and signed autographs for fans (mostly children) shouting personal insults- anybody who enables him online is gross," Thomas wrote.
She later responded to a comment on her post that supported the heckler:
"I think heckling is tolerable," Thomas wrote. "… but following me around the stadium is weird in my opinion. But you’re both kinda weird so i can see why you think it’s normal."

Grand Slam Track announced it was launching an investigation into the heckler in a statement provided to media on Monday.
"Grand Slam Track is conducting a full investigation into the reprehensible behavior captured on video," the league told Front Office Sports in a statement. "We are working to identify the individual involved and will take appropriate action as necessary. We will implement additional safeguards to help prevent incidents like this in the future. Let us be clear, despicable behavior like this will not be tolerated."

The status of the investigation was not clear as of Wednesday afternoon.

Kobe and Gigi Bryant Mural Vandalized Again Just Days After Being Restored

The tribute to Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi in downtown Los Angeles has been disrespected once again. Just days after artist Louie “Sloe” Motions completed a full restoration of the mural, it’s been hit by vandals for the second time in just over a month.
White spray paint was scribbled across the mural, which sits at 14th and Main, completely covering the faces and artwork of Kobe and Gigi. The mural had just been restored last Friday after it was initially defaced in April with profanity and black and white graffiti.

This piece, known to many as the “Mambas Forever” mural, became a powerful memorial in the wake of the Bryants’ tragic deaths. But now, after two back-to-back acts of vandalism, Sloe Motions says he’s done fighting to keep it in the same spot. He’s looking to move the mural to a safer, more protected location—possibly with support from a foundation or business, and all at no cost.
Back in April, NBA star Luka Dončić stepped up to help, donating $5,000 to restore the mural after the first attack. Fans were hopeful the tribute would finally stand untouched.

Sadly, that wasn’t the case.
Now, Motions is calling for unity and a fresh start—somewhere the community can truly honor the legacy of the Black Mamba and his Mambacita without interruption. No arrests have been made in either incident.
