Born in Denmark to a Somali-Ethiopian mother and a half-Turkish, half-Danish father, Mona Tougaard made her debut on the Prada runway in 2019.
It became an “unbelievable and crazy” season, walking runways leaving Prada in Milan to walk Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Valentino and then closing Karl Lagerfeld’s final collection for Chanel.
Tougaard covered Vogue France in August 2022, appearing with Ugbad in a cover story shot by Luis Alberto Rodriguez, her photographer in this post, and again in May 2023. She covered Vogue Italia in August 2021. Mona’s British Vogue covers include the April 2021 and July/August 2024 issues.
Searching for the Big Four Vogue covers, Tougaard has American Vogue in her sights. Although she has multiple US Vogue editorials in her portfolio, she needs an American cover to complete her quartet.

#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey ‘Got a Little Bit of Smoke’ Filming RHOA Season 17
It looks like Cynthia Bailey will have to earn her paycheck this time around on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. After Season 16 largely saw her on the sidelines, serving up a voice of reason in a part-time role, Cynthia revealed that she caught a few “strays” when filming Season 17. No smooth sailing this time!

Cynthia Bailey was shocked by the “strays” she caught filming RHOA Season 17
During a recent episode of Humble Brag, the podcast she hosts with Crystal Kung Minkoff, Cynthia teased what we can expect for Season 17. So far, most of what we’ve heard about the upcoming season has come from K. Michelle’s social media, so it was refreshing to hear someone else’s side.

According to Cynthia, Phaedra Parks recently hosted a party where “things went left.” However, Cynthia missed all of the juicy drama, so she’s heading back to Atlanta to get the details.

While Cynthia was hesitant to reveal who the drama involved, she teased that the newbies have been “very local” and “doing their thing.” She also said there’s been a lot of drama with Porsha Williams.
“Not a whole, whole lot with Phaedra,” Cynthia continued. “Actually, as someone who is a friend of, I got a little bit of smoke since we’ve been filming and had to give a little bit of smoke back.”

Since she’s not a full-time cast member, Cynthia said the ladies coming for her surprised her.
“I mean, I’m not off limits, but at the same time, I’m not necessarily a target either,” Cynthia said. “They’re like, ‘You’re around enough to catch a couple of strays.’”
With over a decade of Housewives under her belt, Cynthia made it clear that she didn’t feel too shaken up by the drama. She can take it, and she can dish it. It’s not her first time at the rodeo.

“Listen, I know my Housewife memory muscle is strong,” Cynthia admitted. “I know how to clock back in.”

#NewMusic from Tweet “Toot Toot”

R&B icon Tweet is back on the music scene with the release of her new single, “TOOT TOOT”, through the SRG-ILS Group (Virgin Music/Universal Music Group).
The new single marks the beginning of a musical journey that will lead to Tweet’s upcoming album, “Memoirs of A Southern Hummingbird,” scheduled for release in early 2026. “TOOT TOOT” was co-written by Tweet, Walter W. Millsap III, Erick Walls, and James Owens Jr., and produced by Walter W. Millsap III, known for his work with artists like Beyoncé and Alicia Keys.

LISTEN HERE:

In a recent statement, Tweet addressed her absence from the spotlight, saying, “I’ve always wanted to set the record straight about the hiatus… I never stopped creating. I kept recording, kept writing, kept living.” She added, “Now I’m finally in a space to give my fans the real story. All the true gems that never made the cut.”

The song is rumored to have been recorded during the sessions for her “It’s Me Again” album from 2005, but did not make the cut at the time.

#HipHopNews:Megan Thee Stallion Teases Return Now That Klay Thompson's "Gone To Work": "Y'all Ready?"
Megan Thee Stallion’s Instagram post sparked buzz about her next move and possible new music.
Fans are speculating about new tracks and calling for the return of “Megan Monday” freestyles.
Her last release, “Whenever,” seemingly set the stage for her next project, MEGAN: ACT III.
With her NBA boo away for the upcoming season, Megan Thee Stallion is seemingly back and, hopefully, gearing up for new music. On Sunday (Sept. 28), the Houston rapper teased the Hotties about her highly anticipated return.

“Okay, Hotties, my man [is] gone to work now. Y'all ready for me?” she wrote on Instagram, referring to Klay Thompson getting ready for the preseason, which starts in October. She paired the caption with a video of herself serving looks to JAY-Z’s “Big Pimpin’.”
While plenty of fans commented about how incredibly gorgeous Megan looked (“Megan, please, I have a family” and “I’m no [better] than a man” being among the more hilarious ones), others were eager to find out what the Grammy-winning artist has coming next.

One person suggested, “The streets need a Megan Monday freestyle to set off the week tomorrow.” Meanwhile, fellow rapper Scar Lip said, “I’m ready.” See the post here.
Megan left off on a high note with “Whenever” in April. Sampling Ms. Cherry’s “It’s Whatever,” the track found her seemingly taking shots at then-boyfriend Torrey Craig’s ex, influencer Olivia Davis, and possibly Tory Lanez as well. It was a strong first release for the year and appeared to be the lead-in to MEGAN: ACT III.

“Y’all know I don’t give away too much stuff about my music, but ACT III is being made,” Megan told fans during a TikTok Live the month prior. “I’m really just trying to figure out who I want to do features with at this point in life.” To be fair, she released two excellent projects and a documentary the previous year, giving fans plenty of music to enjoy in the meantime.
Megan has been expanding her résumé outside of music. Just last month, she executive-produced and starred in Apple TV+’s “KPOPPED.” On top of that, the Hot Girl Coach is working with “The Boondocks” producer Carl Jones to bring her own anime series to Netflix.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban reportedly separate after 19 years of marriage

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have called it quits, according to People. The Babygirl star, 58, and the country crooner, 57, have separated, with a source telling the magazine, “Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”

“She didn’t want this,” the source added of Kidman. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
TMZ was the first to break the news of Kidman and Urban’s reported split, citing sources that the couple had reportedly been living apart “since the beginning of summer.” Kidman has custody of their two children and is “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone,” according to TMZ. Urban, the outlet reported, has moved out of the family home in Nashville and has since moved into a property of his own, separate from Kidman and their daughters.

Kidman and Urban were together for nearly 20 years. In a 2019 interview with People, Kidman recalled how a sweet gesture from Urban on her 38th birthday in June 2005 solidified her feelings for him, telling the magazine he appeared on her apartment stoop at 5 a.m. holding a bouquet of gardenias.

“That is when I went, ‘This is the man I hope I get to marry,’” Kidman, who was previously married to Tom Cruise, said at the time. “I believed by that point he was the love of my life.”

The pair married a year later, in June 2006, and went on to have two daughters, Sunday, born in 2008, and Faith, born in 2010.
The couple appeared to be in a good place as of June 2025, when Kidman shared a loving anniversary tribute to Urban on Instagram. The Academy Award-winning actress, who has made frequent red carpet appearances with Urban at country music shows like the Country Music Awards and the American Country Music Awards, has frequently gushed about her singer-songwriter husband.
“I’m so lucky that I have Keith, who’s just my love, my deep, deep love. That gives me the ability to go and do whatever I have to do because I know where I can come back to,” Kidman told People in 2024.

The “Straight Line” singer described a similar sense of certainty about Kidman being the love of his life in 2020, during an interview on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast.
“She’s just the one. She’s the one that I was searching for my whole life, and everything not only changed but had to change in me if I was gonna go that road,” Urban said.

Neither Kidman nor Urban has released statements regarding their split.

Madonna opens up about forgiving her 'biggest enemy' brother Christopher Ciccone before he died: 'It is ultimately liberating'

Almost a year after the death of her younger brother, Christopher Ciccone, Madonna has opened up about their years-long estrangement and how she forgave him right before he died.

The 67-year-old Queen of Pop made her podcast debut with in Monday's episode of On Purpose with Jay Shetty, during which she recalled how forgiveness factors into her spiritual journey. Madonna spoke specifically about how hard it was to forgive Ciccone after believing she would "never" be able to get past his "betrayal."
"There's things that have happened to me in my life that I just thought, 'I will never I will never forgive this person,'" Madonna told Shetty. "Now I just don't want to have those feelings anymore 'cause it's a prison and it's poison to not be able to forgive and to live in a state of like holding a grudge or hating someone or wanting them to suffer."

The "Live a Virgin" singer admitted she perceived her brother as one of her "biggest enemies," sharing that she believes "the hardest ones" to forgive "are the people that you feel like you [are] the closest to. They're your greatest ally and they turn on you. The people that hurt you the most are the people that you love the most."

She added: "This pain is unbearable and you think what's going to save you is to think vengeful thoughts or to never forgive. Like that's going to give you some kind of power, magical power. It doesn't, it just weighs you down and eats away at you and is poisonous."
Ciccone served as a dresser and later an art director for the singer, providing artwork for her smash single "Like a Prayer" and 1990 Blond Ambition World Tour. He also became an interior designer, working for his sister.

In 2008, Ciccone released his autobiography, Life With My Sister Madonna, which debuted at No. 2 on The New York Times Best Seller list. Critics panned the tell-all memoir for its harsh nature, and it reportedly caused tension between Ciccone and Madonna, who did not approve of the book's release.

Following the memoir's release, Madonna's longtime representative Liz Rosenberg told the Associated Press (per Billboard) that the singer didn't read it but found it "very upsetting" that Ciccone "decided to sell a book based on his sister."

"I would have to assume she has come to terms with the fact that they do not have a close and loving relationship," Rosenberg said. "And with the book coming out, I assume that will remove the chances of that ever happening."
Looking back, Madonna revealed that she knew she had to forgive Ciccone but her ego "dance[d] around it. But that changed when Ciccone reached out to her during his illness.

"It was him being ill and reaching out to me and saying, 'I need your help,'" she recalled. "And me having that moment like, 'Am I going to help my enemy?' And I just did. And I felt so relieved. And it was such a load off my back, such a weight that was removed, baggage that I could put down, to finally be able to be in a room with him and holding his hand even if he was dying and saying, 'I love you and I forgive you.' That was really important."
Madonna revealed to Shetty that as she's been working on new music and has written a song about her brother called "Fragile" and another song called "Forgive Yourself" that are connected.

"The chorus of the song is, 'If you can't forgive me forgive yourself,' which is something we all have to do," Madonna explained. "We have to forgive others but we also have to forgive ourselves and stop beating up on ourselves about things, choices we've made in the past that haven't worked out for ourselves or other people."
The idea of taking on that responsibility is a concept intrinsic to the lessons she learned while studying Kabbalah, a Jewish mystical tradition focused on understanding the hidden divine nature of the universe and the esoteric meanings within the Torah.
She said that her hospitalization in 2023 due to a bacterial infection also inspired her feelings of forgiveness.
"That was another thing I realized, when I woke up in the hospital, forgiveness. That word came to my mind. I have to forgive people," she told Shetty. "Because I was there, I was almost there on the other side. I had a conscious moment and my mother appeared to me and she said, 'Do you want to come with me?' and I said no."

Claiming her assistant actually heard her say "no" while unconscious, Madonna said she later realized "that the 'no' was about me needing to forgive and make good with people that I still held grudges against."

Uh Oh? Ne-Yo Reacts To Shoving Fan Who Rushed Stage During Japan Performance: ‘Don’t Try Me’
Ne-Yo shoved a concertgoer when a fan rushed him on stage while he was performing in Japan over the weekend.
Footage has gone viral of a fan climbing onto the stage while Ne-Yo was performing his 2007 smash “Because of You.” The Grammy-winning singer appeared surprised by the fan, and when they seemed to make it about themselves on stage, Ne-Yo grabbed the concertgoer by the neck and shoved them to the side.

Terence Crawford held at gunpoint during traffic stop, Omaha mayor and police issue statements

Terence “Bud” Crawford was celebrated during a victory parade in his hometown of Omaha, Neb. on Saturday but hours later he found himself being ordered out of his car at gunpoint during a traffic stop.
Video surfaced on social media that showed police speaking to Crawford with a gun drawn as the boxer, who is just days removed from his win over Canelo Alvarez, cooperates while stating “I ain’t reaching for no gun” while keeping his hands held high. The police officer is then seen patting Crawford down before the video comes to an end.

Police later issued a statement saying that just before 1:30 a.m. local time, officers stopped a vehicle that was “driving recklessly.” During the traffic stop, the police officer “observed a firearm on the driver’s side floorboard” and for safety, “all four occupants were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint.”

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Crawford and issued a citation for reckless driving.
All four occupants in the car were legally permitted to carry firearms, including a member of Crawford’s security team who was carrying his own weapon at the time of the traffic stop.
A police supervisor and lieutenant also responded the scene at Crawford’s request.
As a result of the traffic stop, Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer ordered “an internal affairs investigation” over the incident.

In the aftermath of the video going viral, Omaha Mayor John Ewing also issued a statement of his own where he revealed that he actually spoke to Crawford about the incident, which followed the celebration in his honor on Saturday.
“I learned Omaha police pulled over Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford on a traffic stop downtown early this morning. After learning of this, I spoke personally to Bud Crawford,” Ewing wrote. “I acknowledge the seriousness of what occurred and how trust between law enforcement and our community is important and shows the need to be continuously vigilant about building relationships. Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer has pledged an internal investigation, which I support and want to be full and thorough. We will gather all the facts and be transparent with the public about our findings.

“Understand that my heart dropped in learning of this end to an otherwise wonderful day and evening celebrating our city’s world boxing champion. We held a great parade and great event at Heartland of America park. The evening birthday party at Steelhouse, which I and members of my team attended, was a showing of joy and pride. Omaha needs to remember this important day as a good one while we seek answers to how it ended. Meanwhile, we must ensure that every resident, no matter who they are, feels safe and respected in Omaha.”

Crawford’s celebration followed his historic win over Alvarez where he became the first ever undisputed three-division boxing champion with a dominant performance to remain undefeated in his career.
He has not directly addressed the traffic stop or the resulting investigation underway.

Gloria Velez Claims NFL Player Attempted To Rape Her At Uncle Luke After Party
Gloria Velez alleges that 2 Live Crew member Uncle Luke once attempted to pay for her silence to protect an NFL player from a sexual assault allegation.
During a recent appearance on VladTV, the iconic video vixen opened up about her experience touring the country at 14 years old and how the period exposed her to predatory behavior from associates of 2 Live Crew and other celebrities.

“At that time, I almost got raped a few times,” Velez recalled.
“But the reason I didn’t tell a lot of people or tell anybody was because I didn’t want to hurt the people that tried to rape me and the ones that did rape me. I thought about their family, I didn’t want to ruin their career, even though they weren’t thinking about what they did to me and how they made me feel.”

Velez remembers that she was on tour with DJ Jealous Jay at the time and traveled to do a show in the Florida Keys where Luke and 2 Live Crew performing.
“Luke had an after party and we all went. There was a new athlete that just got a major deal, a football player and he kept flirting and they kept saying, ‘She’s 14, she’s 14,’ like, chill. They kept telling him that,” Velez said of her friends’ warnings to the unidentified player, who has since retired, according to Velez.

“He’s like, ‘Let’s talk upstairs.’ He was very persistent and I went, ignorantly, and we were upstairs and he tried to rape me. I told him, ‘No, I want to leave,’ and he threw money at me, ‘[saying] how much, how much,’ and kept throwing money.
“I said no, and we went back and forth and he just jumped on me and I just started screaming, even though there was so much noise, so much music. But thank God, my people heard me busted in and he acted like he didn’t care. Like he was above the law, that he was famous and rich.”

“They called me many of times when I got home like, ‘how much money do you need to be quiet?’ I said, but nothing happened.’ He goes, ‘Yeah, but something did happen, even though it didn’t go all the way.’ But I didn’t take any money, and I just said, ‘I’ll be silent, I won’t say anything.'”
When asked, Velez confirms that Luke was one of the ppl who called [to offer money]. “[They offered] a lot of money ’cause he just made a major deal,” Velez said of the unnamed player.

“Later on, I saw him a few times, I never said anything, he never said nothing. As I got older, in my late ’20s, he apologized. He tried to even flirt, I said, ‘That’s not gonna happen.’ I thought that was weird. But I forgave him. I told him I forgive him.”
In a previous interview, 2 Live Crew member Brother Marquise admitted that some men expressed the belief that they had a “pass” to rape women, a mind-state he said was uncommon in Miami at that time. “Some of that sh*t was going on,” Marquis, who passed away in 2024, said of the sexual violence against women.

“We got to Miami, it was sort of a lawless place where anything goes. Girls were there and there were guys that were really extra on some thug, some goon sh*t. In Miami, it was nothing, you’d hear guys [say] all the time, ‘I got a rape license.’ I used to see girls get abused and slapped for not participating.”

We have reached out to Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell and his representatives for comment.

FAMU Apologizes After Alabama State’s Honey Beez Dance Team Is Mocked With “Ozempic” Joke

Florida A&M University is doing damage control after a halftime moment at Bragg Memorial Stadium went viral for all the wrong reasons.
On Saturday (Sept. 27), FAMU President Marva Johnson issued a public apology to Alabama State University after their “Rattlers” band announcer made an offensive remark about ASU’s beloved Honey Beez dance team.
The Honey Beez — who are the full-figured dance team that performs alongside the Mighty Marching Hornets — had just wrapped their halftime performance during the FAMU-ASU matchup when announcer Joe Bullard referred to them as “the new face of Ozempic.”

The shocking comment citing the diabetes and weight-loss drug left the entire stadium gasping in disbelief. Watch below.
The remark made waves on social media, sparking outrage and disappointment across the HBCU community. ASU President Dr. Quinton T. Ross Jr. quickly addressed the incident in a statement on Facebook, calling the words “short-sighted” and stressing that “to have their artistry disrespected after such a performance is unacceptable.”

He added that he had already spoken with both Johnson and the Southwestern Athletic Conference commissioner.

In response, Johnson issued her own statement apologizing directly to ASU, the Honey Beez, and Hornet Nation. “I conveyed my regret and reaffirmed that such comments are unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” she wrote, promising accountability and new measures to prevent a repeat of the incident. Johnson also praised the Honey Beez, describing them as a team that “represents discipline, school pride, and performance tradition respected across the nation.”
Many people sided with Johnson, calling out the announcer’s words as out of step with the community FAMU claims to represent. “As an HBCU grad and parent of two current Rattlers, one of which is a classically trained dancer, I was appalled and repulsed at the insensitive comment,” one supporter wrote on Facebook. “Bravo to the President for issuing this apology to ASU and the Honey Beez.”

Not everyone, however, is calling for Bullard’s removal. Miami Hip-Hop legend, Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell, defended his longtime friend. Taking to Facebook, he noted that while the announcer “deeply regrets” his words, the path forward should be a public apology to the Honey Beez and appropriate disciplinary action, but not result in “termination.”

The drama capped off an already tough night for FAMU, as Alabama State handed FAMU a 41-14 loss in their SWAC opener.

Dame Dash Wants To Sue ‘The Breakfast Club’ For Defamation After Chaotic Interview
Dame Dash refuses to allow himself to be the butt of the joke.
The 54-year-old entrepreneur recently revealed that he plans to sue The Breakfast Club after their chaotic interview earlier this month.

The Roc-A-Fella co-founder appeared on Cam Capone News and dished on what he believed was an intentional smear campaign. “I’m suing The Breakfast Club, but I also sent a demand letter to [pause] the Chris Brown lawyer and everyone that was in that whole circle and scene,” he said. He then got into his reasoning, which was admittedly a bit flawed.

“The thing is, we on the radio. So if you say I got dirty sneakers, playing or not, they can’t see it,” he added. “Then they’re going to think I got on dirty sneakers. It’s going to get into the algorithm. ‘Dame has on dirty sneakers.’ I don’t want to hear that when I got on new sneakers.” It is worth noting that The Breakfast Club shares video footage of their interviews in addition to the audio component, so the dirty sneakers narrative could be easily disproven.

The Harlem native also took issue with how he was treated on the show versus how conservative commentator Ben Shapiro was handled. “Someone that triggers our culture constantly. They gave him the utmost respect,” he said. “They let him talk.” In recent history, Dash has addressed his enemies via social media and interviews, but now he’s committed to pursuing litigation against anyone who slights him.

“The people that have been f**king with me, and I think it’s been illegal the way they’ve been f**king with me, I’m not going to take it to the street,” he said before revealing an odd inspiration for his new attitude. “I’m not in the street. I look at what President Donald Trump does. He sues people.”

Dame couldn’t completely stay off the internet, though, as he addressed Charlemagne Tha God in an Instagram clip taken from his show Bosses Take Losses. “Why would they give another culture more respect than their own?” he asked in the caption. “I just dont understand. Smh @cthagod Are they paying you to do it? Either you hate us or someone is paying you do to it. Allegedly. #Stop tearing your own culture down challenge.”

Cavs’ Donovan Mitchell gets real about engagement to Coco Jones
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been hard at work in the offseason, looking ahead after the team was eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in five games in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
But Cavs star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell is also looking forward to something else: marrying his fiancée, singer Coco Jones.

“Man, that’s my dog. I love her to death,” Mitchell told reporters when asked about his engagement during Monday’s media day. “She’s an amazing human being. She brings me peace.”
Mitchell announced their engagement on Instagram in July, sharing a photo with Jones. In the photo, the couple was seen embracing as Jones showed off her engagement ring.

A video also showed the pair walking alongside a swimming pool before Mitchell got down on one knee.
Browns lose 2 wide receivers amid QB questions
Jones also shared the post on her own Instagram page with her song “You” playing in the background.
While opening up about their engagement, Mitchell said getting to spend time with Jones on her tour was a “very unique” experience.

“You realize she travels and works just as hard as we do on the tour bus, up late nights,” he said. “She’s a special human and you see it in her work and to call her my fiancée, my wife, is a blessing, so I’m grateful.”
Rumors that Mitchell and Jones were dating had been circulating for some time. This past winter, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe asked Jones about the rumors on his “Club Shay Shay” podcast.

“I love the internet because they definitely clocked my tea. Little spies everywhere,” she responded with a laugh. “I’m happy and I will say, my music is my outlet where I tell my stories and my truth. Some things I keep for myself because this is my life, too. I say some things and you can hear it on my album.”

Hattie White turns 100 with Jay-Z and Beyoncé by her side

The intimate ballroom in Manhattan buzzed with three generations of the Carter family as Hattie White, the beloved grandmother of hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, reached her extraordinary 100th birthday milestone. The private celebration, held last month, transformed into a testament of enduring family bonds and the profound influence one matriarch can have across decades.

White has remained the steady foundation for a family that has risen to global prominence through music, business and cultural influence. Her journey spans an entire century of American history, from the Roaring Twenties through the digital age, witnessing transformations that few have experienced firsthand.
The centenarian addressed her assembled loved ones with characteristic grace, offering words that resonated deeply with everyone present. Her message emphasized gratitude for those who joined her life’s journey and blessed those who have walked similar paths of perseverance and determination.

The exclusive guest list reflected the deep relationships White has fostered throughout her family’s ascent in the entertainment world. Beyoncé, the global superstar and Jay-Z’s wife, joined the intimate celebration alongside longtime collaborator Memphis Bleek and rap legend Nas. Perhaps most surprisingly, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin made an appearance, showcasing the diverse musical connections the family has cultivated.
The evening coincided with promotional activities for the charitable initiative “Water For Life,” demonstrating how the Carter family consistently weaves philanthropy into personal celebrations. This approach reflects values White instilled generations ago about giving back to communities and supporting those in need.

White’s influence extends far beyond family dinners and birthday celebrations. She gained widespread recognition through her powerful contribution to Beyoncé‘s critically acclaimed visual album Lemonade, where her voice graced the track “Freedom.” Her spoken-word segment about inner strength and perseverance resonated with millions of viewers worldwide.

This artistic collaboration highlighted how White’s wisdom transcends generational boundaries, offering profound insights that connect with contemporary audiences seeking authentic voices of experience and resilience.
Social media platforms exploded with heartfelt tributes as attendees shared carefully curated glimpses of the milestone celebration. Images of Jay-Z beaming alongside his grandmother captured the genuine joy and reverence that characterized the evening. These posts quickly garnered hundreds of thousands of interactions from fans worldwide who felt connected to this intimate family moment.

The viral nature of these tributes underscores how authentic family connections resonate powerfully in an era often criticized for superficial digital relationships. White’s celebration became a reminder that genuine human bonds remain the most compelling content.
The centennial celebration offered profound lessons about maintaining family unity despite extraordinary public scrutiny and demanding professional schedules. White’s ability to remain the family’s emotional anchor while her grandson built a billion-dollar empire demonstrates the importance of staying grounded in core values.

Her influence can be seen in how the Carter family approaches their platform, consistently using their reach to address social issues and support community initiatives. This sense of responsibility and purpose reflects principles White cultivated through decades of guidance and example.
The evening served as more than a birthday party; it became a masterclass in honoring elders while celebrating the continuation of family traditions in modern contexts. As guests departed, many commented on feeling inspired to reconnect with their own family matriarchs and patriarchs.

White’s remarkable century of life stands as a beacon for younger generations navigating an increasingly complex world. Her celebration reminded everyone present that success means little without the foundation of family love and the wisdom of those who came before.

Chicago house legendary DJ Ron Carroll dies at 57💔
Ronald “Ron” Michael Carroll (1968–2025) Ron Carroll, the legendary Chicago DJ, vocalist, and songwriter whose voice became one of the defining sounds of house music, has passed away at the age of 57 on September 22, 2025. Carroll’s career spanned three decades and reached audiences across the globe, while always staying rooted in the city that shaped him.

Born and raised on Chicago’s South Side, Carroll’s love of music began in the church, where his gospel-infused voice first found power. That spiritual foundation carried into his artistry, giving his performances a soulful urgency that electrified dance floors. By the early 1990s, Carroll was writing, producing, and performing tracks that would earn him worldwide recognition and solidify Chicago’s status as the birthplace of house music.

Carroll’s breakthrough as both a vocalist and a songwriter led to collaborations with an array of international producers and DJs. His soaring voice and lyrics defined timeless anthems, while his own DJ sets reflected a deep understanding of rhythm, community, and the pure joy of music. He carried Chicago with him wherever he went, proudly representing the city on stages from Miami to Ibiza to Amsterdam.

Beyond his career, Carroll, known as the Minister Of Sound was celebrated for his generosity of spirit. He mentored up-and-coming artists, pushed for greater recognition of vocalists in the house music scene, and never hesitated to lend his talents to causes that uplifted others. For Carroll it was a form of healing and connection.

He leaves behind family, friends, and an extended community of artists and fans whose lives were shaped by his presence. His voice will live on in the songs that continue to move people on dance floors and in hearts around the world.
Briahna Gatlin, CEO of Swank Publishing and a close friend of Ron had this today about what he means to his family, friends and to house music. “Ron was innovative and knew how to extract the heart and soul out of house music, he made you feel like you were having and out of body (catching the Holy Ghost) experience when he would play and make music. From his big smile to his jokes he always kept it positive but passionate. He touched people in a way that made everyone feel seen, he was vocal and vulnerable with his family and friends and handled them with love and care and gave his all until he had nothing left”

Ron Carroll’s passing marks the loss of a true pioneer, but his legacy remains eternal. May his soul rest in peace, and may his music forever remind us of the spirit of Chicago house.

Locals Puzzled by Beyoncé & Jay Z Swampy UK Property Purchase

Last month it was reported that Beyoncé and Jay Z closed on a Cotswolds estate in the U
Locals are excited for their arrival but claim the property turns into a swampy mess after a few days rain and are curious why they would buy it...

According to The Daily Mail: Pop royalty Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z are the latest global celebrities to plot a move to the increasingly fashionable Cotswolds - and are close to securing a £7million mansion.
But the golden hitmaking couple appear to be unaware that the plot they are eyeing is so prone to annual flooding that it is known locally as 'the paddy field'.
And what's more, The Daily Mail can reveal, the 58-acre plot isn't technically in the Cotswolds at all - but just outside an area that has increasingly global cachet.
Instead the property - which they are understood to have visited several times - is just outside the sought after area in west Oxfordshire, in a sleepy nearby hamlet called Wigginton.

The village's picturesque chocolate box streets looked glorious in the early autumn sunshine when the Daily Mail visited - and found that the talk of the village was about the imminent arrival of Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
One local told the Daily Mail: 'The word now is that it has all been signed, and the money has been deposited in the bank. That is what we have heard.
Another told us: 'At the village fete it's what everyone was talking about, we know they came and viewed the site by helicopter in the summer and since then negotiations have been ongoing, but it's apparently been sorted now.
'But I'm not sure if she fully knows what they have let themselves in for as it's in a dip and is prone to flooding – we call it the paddy field because the water rises up very quickly. It can be like a swamp when there are several days of rain.'
'We are looking forward to seeing them around the village, but I will be honest they might find it a little boring as there's not much to do apart from enjoy the glorious countryside.

'There is no pub, or shops but there are two churches and a community book swap shop in the old bus stop.
'To be honest, I've not heard of Beyoncé and Jay-Z until now, but my children have and they've played me some of her songs and they're quite catchy.'

Cardi B Calls Out Nicki Minaj in Series of Tweets, Says They're Not Peers Because of Age Difference
Cardi B is slamming Nicki Minaj after her longtime enemy tweeted and then deleted a series of diss tweets about her.
Cardi‘s feud with Nicki goes back many years and in 2018, she revealed the breaking point for her. They had gotten into a physical fight just weeks before those comments.

It all started on Monday night (September 29) when Nicki simply tweeted out “$4.99,” seemingly referencing the promotional price of Cardi‘s new album Am I The Drama? on iTunes.

Nicki used the lyrics of Cardi‘s song “Magnet” to write a series of disses.
“Abcdefgeeeeeeee,” Nicki wrote in one post. “SUR GER REE TO LOOK LIKE MEEEEEE / tell the rat & tell J ZEEEEEE / Rico Fraud & PERJURY.”
“Fallin off the charts wit a big bellyyyy / RUNNING TRAINS. Barefoot, still smellyyyyy / Still. You. Could. Not. outsell. meeeeee,” she wrote in another.

All of Nicki‘s tweets have since been deleted, but Cardi‘s responses are still live.
In one response, Cardi noted that she doesn’t feel like she and Nicki are actually peers because of their age difference, pointing out that she was in high school when Nicki was popular.
Cardi is 32 and dropped her first hit song in 2017 while Nicki is 42 and dropped her first hit songs in 2010.

“Why you keep bringing up my album?? It’s not the gag that you think it is..You been in the game like 16 years.. you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time. Rihanna, Taylor swift, Drake…those are the numbers you need to be competing wit and you can’t cuz you doing lower than all of them… I was in high school when you came out wtf is you comparing yourself to me for???” Cardi said.

'Pose' Star Indya Moore Criticizes Ryan Murphy Over His Recent Silence on Trans Rights

Indya Moore doesn’t feel like Ryan Murphy has done enough to advocate for trans rights during a time when the government is actively stripping them away.
The Pose star took to Instagram to publicly call out the FX show’s co-creator, questioning his silence on trans issues in the years since the series ended.
“I want to express my thanks and my gratitude to all the people who have ever given us jobs, allowing us to be able to speak out. But like, we really need y’all. We really, really need y’all,” Indya said, becoming visibly emotional as she spoke.

The 30-year-old continued, saying, “Like, the fact that Ryan Murphy has been this silent — like, we really pissed you off that much, Ryan? Like Ryan Murphy, who upset you that much?”
Indya then added, “Janet really pissed you off that much?”
For context, she’s referencing the Pose season 3 red carpet premiere event from 2021 when trans activist Janet Mock—who was also a writer, director, and producer on the show—delivered a speech criticizing Hollywood for its treatment of the trans community.

“I’m trying to understand how is it that you could do something like Pose during Donald Trump‘s administration and then, it’s like — poof — you’re gone? It’s garbage. It’s an embarrassment. Like that’s how it feels,” added the model in her impassioned Instagram video.
Pose, which aired from 2018 to 2021, was praised for centering trans voices and casting trans actors in leading roles. But Indya‘s message suggests that the allyship may have ended when the cameras stopped rolling.
But the actress, who played Angel Vasquez-Evangelista on the show, wasn’t done there. She went on to say, “Ryan Murphy, we need you to do more. You do need to address the racism, the violence, and the targeting of people on your productions, Ryan Murphy. Yes, you do.”

To conclude her video, Indya pleaded with viewers to advocate for trans people.
“Please advocate for us in your countries. We need your help, we need your support.”
Fellow trans actress and activist Laverne Cox was quick to comment, writing, “Love you so much my sister. This call to action, this call to love, this call for empathy, acknowledging each other’s humanity both intra-community and for those who proclaim allyship. I’ve been weeping just like this. Weeping. But not showing it. But I hear you. I feel you deeply. I’m right there too.”

Other stars like Alyssa Milano and Jamie King also shared their support.
