#FASHIONFAB: Dolce & Gabbana Fall-Winter 2025
Dolce & Gabbana’s fall-winter 2025 campaign arrives like a dispatch from the velvet rope. Steven Meisel shoots it in black and white, the preferred medium of spectacle and scandal, and Kit Butler becomes the figure at its center. He slips through crowds under the burn of flashbulbs, his face half-covered by glasses or shadows.

The Dolce & Gabbana campaign treats nightlife as theater, where the cut of a jacket or the weight of a coat reveals the drama. A white shirt and necktie fastened with a jeweled pin turns into a uniform of seduction.
A sequined jacket signals defiance in the press of bodies at the club door. A fur coat draped over denim suggests the after-hours drift, where fashion exchanges refinement for survival.
Kit plays both subject and object. The images draw power from this exchange. Dolce & Gabbana frames him as a man pursued, documented, and always aware of his own silhouette. Clothes in this setting are armor and a ticket of entry.

The campaign alludes to a portrait of style as currency. In Meisel’s lens, the Dolce & Gabbana man of 2025 thrives on visibility, even as he slips into the back seat, half-asleep under a spotted coat, his bag doubling as a pillow. Presence remains the last luxury, and here it comes fully lit.

Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Carter Reportedly Escapes Suspension After Spitting On Dak Prescott

Jalen Carter found himself at the center of controversy Sunday, but the Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman will not face a suspension for spitting at Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott during their heated NFC East clash.
According to USA TODAY Sports, a league official confirmed that a ban is “not on the table,” though the NFL is still reviewing the incident. The source was granted anonymity because the investigation remains ongoing.
Carter was tossed from the game after officials flagged him for unsportsmanlike conduct. The altercation unfolded in the first quarter, just after Eagles fullback Ben VanSumeren was injured on the opening kickoff. As players milled near the 30-yard line, Carter and Prescott exchanged words before the spitting occurred.
Referee Shawn Smith addressed the ejection, calling it “a disqualifiable foul in the game” and labeling it “a non-football act.”
Prescott downplayed the situation when asked about it later. “He was trolling, I guess you could say, trying to mess with Tyler Booker,” Prescott said. “I was just looking at him. I was right here by the two linemen, and I guess I needed to spit, and I wasn’t going to spit on my lineman and I just spit ahead. … And he goes, ‘Are you trying to spit on me?’”
Prescott was in the Cowboys’ huddle then walking towards Carter. Then, he leaned in on the shoulders of his offensive linemen and spit toward the acclaimed Eagles’ defensive tackle. Carter did not appear to be hit by the spit, but appeared offended.
“It was a mistake that happened on my side, and it just won’t happen again,” Carter said. “I feel bad, just for my teammates and the fans out there. It won’t happen again. I made that promise.”
Suspensions for spitting do not happen often, but a fine is likely.
Carter avoids missing more game time, but his actions mar a major victory for Philadelphia over there biggest rival.

Angie Stone's Family has announced a Lawsuit Against Trucking Company
Angie Stone died in a violent highway crash after a tractor-trailer slammed into an overturned van she was trying to escape, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed by her children.
The 63-year-old R&B icon was returning to Atlanta from a performance in Mobile, Alabama, on March 1, 2025, when the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van she was riding in flipped on Interstate 65 in Montgomery County.
The van had nine people onboard and came to a stop in the left northbound lane with its lights still on.
Good Samaritans helped five passengers out of the vehicle, but Angie Stone and another passenger, Sheila Hopkins, were still trying to exit when a tractor-trailer barreled into the van at nearly 70 miles per hour.
Hopkins survived with serious injuries. Stone was thrown from the van and pinned underneath it. She died at the scene.
The truck, owned by CRST, was being driven by Jared Wilkinson, who was allegedly wearing headphones and listening to music at the time of the incident. The lawsuit claims the truck’s collision mitigation system failed to activate, preventing the brakes from engaging before impact.
Stone’s children are suing Wilkinson, CRST and the manufacturer of the safety system for negligence and product failure. The complaint also names the driver and owner of the van, as well as several Georgia-based companies involved in operating the vehicle.
Stone was the only person killed in the crash. The others suffered minor or no injuries.
Known for her soulful voice and chart-topping hits like “No More Rain (In This Cloud)” and “Wish I Didn’t Miss You,” Stone earned Grammy nominations and left a lasting mark on the Hip-Hop and R&B scenes.

Keke Wyatt’s Son Says Singer Called His Cancer “Karma” And Exploited His Illness For “Attention”

Keke Wyatt’s 23-year-old son, Rahjah Ke’ Morton, is speaking out against his mother, accusing the R&B diva of exploiting his past cancer diagnosis for “personal gain” and “attention.”
Rahjah, who openly identifies as part of the LGBTQ community — or as he described it, the “Alphabet mafia” — claimed that while Wyatt has presented herself as supportive in the past, her behavior behind closed doors has been far from that.
Joining in on the “put a finger down” TikTok challenge, Rahjah posted a video to his Instagram on Friday (Sep 5) where he presented the personal prompt: “Put a finger down if you were diagnosed with cancer as a teenager and your parent decided to publicly announce your diagnosis for personal gain and attention, but behind the scenes saying that your diagnosis is karma for you being apart of the Alphabet mafia — and if they known that you were gonna turn out like this they could’ve kept their money.”
He then had only four fingers remaining with his thumb turned down. See below.
Social media had much to say, with one person commenting on X, “This is DISGRACEFUL!!!!!!! I’m GAGGGEEDDD!!! Not keke not liking the gays Chile ! I’m sorry her son had to go thru that. Smh!!!!!!” Another person remarked, “This is really crazy. I’m sorry to hear this RahJah. I’m gagging I didn’t know this was your mother.”
Keke Wyatt has yet to respond to Rahjah’s claims.
Back in 2017, Wyatt revealed her son’s cancer prognosis in an emotional Instagram video, asking fans for prayers as she prepared to shave her head in solidarity.
“Haven’t really said too much about my personal life, but my child has been fighting cancer and lost all of their hair that they loved. It hurts me so bad,” she wrote at the time. “I need a complete healing for my baby.” Her mother, brother, and aunt shaved their heads as well.
A year later, the R&B Divas: Atlanta star shared that Rahjah had officially beaten cancer. “NO MORE CANCER,” she captioned a celebratory YouTube video, where she and Rahjah opened up about his diagnosis and treatment journey.
Wyatt recalled noticing the first signs of her son’s illness during a trip to an amusement park, when she saw him struggling to walk. Soon after, he began losing weight at a concerning rate. “Because I was dying! I was literally dying, and we didn’t know,” Rahjah chimed in and recalled.
Following bloodwork, the “Nothing In This World” singer recalled receiving the devastating phone call from his doctor confirming her worst fear. “I said, ‘What is it? Like, cancer or something?’ And she said, ‘Yes.’ Honey, my butthole fell on the floor. My throat hit my butt and my butt hit the floor. I couldn’t believe it,” she said. When doctors confirmed it was leukemia, the singer admitted her teeth began chattering in shock.
Wyatt also remembered the terrifying seizures Rahjah suffered while in the hospital. “Whenever something happens with you, the whole hospital pops up at your door,” she told her son. “Everybody had something to do on you. That was the scariest crap I had ever been through in my life. If there was ever a time in my life where I would lose my mind, that would be the day.”
Randy Moss completes cancer treatment, commemorates occasion by ringing bell at hospital
Hall of Fame receiver and ESPN analyst Randy Moss celebrated the completion of his cancer treatment by ringing the bell this week. The Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina released a video of the occasion on Saturday.
He will return to his role as an analyst on ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown" on Sunday before the league's full Week 1 schedule of games.
Moss, 48, revealed last December that he had been battling bile duct cancer and underwent surgery, called a Whipple procedure, to remove the parts of the affected organs in a six-hour procedure. In an Instagram Live video, he explained that he still needed to go through chemotherapy and radiation treatment after the surgery.
"I am a cancer survivor," he said in the video. "Some trying times, of course, but, you know, we made it through. And for that I thank you all."
Prior to sharing his diagnosis publicly, Moss stepped away from his ESPN duties to "focus on a personal health challenge." The previous week, he told viewers and his "Countdown" colleagues on air that he "battling something internally."
During an interview for ABC's "Good Morning America" with Robin Roberts earlier this week, Moss shared the experience of his Stage 2 diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
"I just think that when you live your life, you know, a certain type of way of, you know, eating right, taking care of your health, and all of a sudden you get diagnosed with cancer... I was overwhelmed," Moss said. "It hit like a ton of bricks."
Those who have battled cancer or have family and friends who have undergone treatment are familiar with the ringing of the bell to celebrate the end of treatment and, hopefully, a victory in their recovery. The gesture is believed to have originated in 1996 at Houston's MD Anderson Cancer Center.
"A rear admiral in the U.S. Navy, Irve Le Moyne, was undergoing radiation therapy for head and neck cancer and told his doctor, Kian Ang, M.D., Ph.D., that he planned to follow a Navy tradition of ringing a bell to signify 'when the job was done.'
"He brought a brass bell to his last treatment, rang it several times and left it as a donation. It was mounted on a wall plaque in the Main Building’s Radiation Treatment Center."

Angel Reese suspended by Chicago Sky after making comments ‘detrimental to the team’

Angel Reese has been suspended by the Chicago Sky following comments she made about her teammates, head coach and the organization.
The forward will miss the first half of the Sky’s game on Sunday against the Las Vegas Aces after her criticisms were published earlier this week by the Chicago Tribune.
“The Chicago Sky values the safety, respect, and well-being of every player. We are committed to accountability so our players can stay focused on playing basketball,” the Sky said in a statement on Friday.
“Because of statements detrimental to the team made by Angel Reese during
league-mandated media, she will not play in the first half of the game on September 7 against the Las Vegas Aces.
“This matter has been handled and resolved internally, and we are moving forward as a team.”
Angel Reese apologizes for critical comments of Chicago Sky’s season
The Sky are currently 10-31 for the season and sit 12th in the WNBA standings – one place above the Dallas Wings in last spot.
Reese expressed her disappointment at the Sky’s season in her interview with the Tribune while urging the team’s front office to bring in “great players”.
“I’m not settling for the same sh*t we did this year,” the two-time All-Star said.
“We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me. I’m willing and wanting to play with the best. And however I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason.”
“So it’s going to be very, very important this offseason to make sure we attract the best of the best because we can’t settle for what we have this year.”

Reese additionally hinted at possibly leaving the Windy City, saying: “I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me. But while I am here, I’m going to try to stay open-minded about what I have here and maximize that as much as I can.”
The 23-year-old has since apologized for the comments she made and clarified what she had meant.
“I probably am frustrated with myself right now,” Reese said after the Sky’s 88-64 win over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday. “I think the language was taken out of context and I really didn’t intentionally mean to put down my teammates because they’ve been through this with me throughout the whole year.
“I just have to be better with my language because I know it’s not the message it’s the messenger. And understanding what I say can be taken any type of way. So, I just have to be better and grow from this,” she added.
The No. 7 pick of the 2024 WNBA draft is averaging 14.7 points and a league-high 12.6 rebounds this season. She has at least one more season left on her rookie contract.

Young Thug apologizes to GloRilla after alleged jail phone call leaks

Young Thug has apologized to GloRilla after an alleged phone call from his time in jail leaked, in which he calls her ugly.
The Grammy-winning rapper and founder of the Young Stoner Life (YSL) label was indicted by Georgia prosecutors along with dozens of others in May 2022 under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. Prosecutors alleged that YSL was more than a label, accusing it of operating as a front for a criminal gang that was involved in murders and drug trafficking.
The trial became the longest in Georgia state history, and Young Thug – real name Jeffery Williams – eventually pleaded guilty to six charges related to gang and racketeering activity in November 2024, having been held in jail for over two years without bail. He was released that month as part of a negotiated sentence that accounted for time already served.
“I take full responsibility for my crimes, for my charges,” Young Thug said in court ahead of his release. “To really everybody that has got something to do with this situation, I want to say sorry.”
Though he’s now been released, his alleged phone calls from his time in jail have been leaking in audio snippets.
In one call, the rapper allegedly calls GloRilla ugly, making comments about her “big ass head” and “big mouth” and saying he “would not pursue her, like at all.”
Glo seemed to respond to the call, writing on X/Twitter on Thursday (September 4): “Mind you dis da same n***a blowing my phone up to ask what color my eyes is lmaooo.”
In a recent interview with GQ, Young Thug asserted that he is an “innocent man”, explaining that he pleaded guilty on those specific charges in order to avoid a harsher sentence.
“Just pleading to something you know that you didn’t do is crazy,” he said. “But you get a chance to keep fighting. [You can] worry about the jury’s fate, or you [can] just go ahead now and go home. It’s like shit, go home.”
Young Thug is now turning his attention back to music, having appeared as a guest on Playboi Carti’s new album ‘Music’ in March, and releasing the new track ‘Money On Money’, featuring Future earlier this week. He is set to release his new album ‘UY Scuti’, the follow-up to 2023’s ‘Business Is Business’, imminently, although there is no confirmed release date yet

The crossover will see Calvin, played by Cedric the Entertainer, reach out to his cousin Crutch to help his neighbor Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) get a better deal on his new floors, but Crutch comes with more baggage than they intended for. “The Neighborhood” returns to CBS Mon. Oct. 13.
This is not the only “The Neighborhood” spinoff in the works at CBS. A new show centered on Marcel Spears’ Marty and McKinney’s Malcolm is in development at the network though it has not yet received an official greenlight.
Cedric The Entertainer’s production company A Bird and a Bear Entertainment will produce “Crutch.” Owen Smith will serve as executive producer and showrunner with Eric C. Rhone, Cedric, Morgan, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling and Mike Mariano executive producing. CBS Studios will produce and distribute the series.
SZA and Shaboozey Spark Dating Buzz After Mysterious Post
Socials are buzzing after fans spotted what looks like a new connection between SZA and breakout star Shaboozey.
It all kicked off when Shaboozey dropped a carousel on the Gram titled “Goodbye Horses.” One of the clips featured a mystery woman filmed from behind, and eagle eyed fans instantly recognized the fit as strikingly similar to one SZA had rocked not long ago. That was all it took for whispers of a possible romance to take off across the socials.
Of course, not everyone is convinced this is about love. Some fans suggested the two might simply be cooking up music together. One commenter reminded the hype train to slow down, writing, “But why do we always assume dating? They’re literally both musicians, it could be anything.” Still, plenty of others are rooting for the duo. One fan dropped, “I love that for him, absolutely SZA, they are so chocolate together,” while another went all in, declaring, “I’m so ready to be a HUSBAND and FATHER [green heart emoji wedding ring emoji].”

Shaboozey has been on a rapid rise, turning heads with his genre bending sound and high profile collaborations. Fresh off standout appearances on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter and linking with artists like BigXthaPlug to bring his country inspired flavor to rap records, his name is hotter than ever.
Whether this is a budding romance or simply a creative alliance, one thing is certain. Fans are tuned in and ready for whatever SZA and Shaboozey decide to share next.

Denzel Washington reveals he used lyrics from one of his all-time favorite rappers, Nas, in ‘Highest 2 Lowest’

Denzel Washington raps Nas’ “Represent” lyrics in a key scene from Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest.
In a new “Jimmy Kimmel Live” interview, the actor also revealed the Illmatic rapper is one of his all-time favorites.
Denzel considers Nas a “wordsmith” and has an appreciation for his fellow New Yorker’s storytelling.
Denzel Washington is so immensely talented that audiences have no idea when he is going off-script. In his new film Highest 2 Lowest, he leans into his love of Hip Hop to deliver a scene alongside A$AP Rocky that is dripping with New York swag, but only some of the dialogue was written in the screenplay by Alan Fox.
The Academy Award winner hails from Mount Vernon, and his love for storytelling dates back to before he ever graced the silver screen. While promoting the new flick on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday (Sept. 3), Washington previewed a snippet of a scene with him and Rocky in a studio.
In the scene, Washington sits at a mixing console and delivers a gritty rap verse: “I’m the brutalizer, buddha-sizer, accelerator/ I ain’t the type of n**ga who be pissing in your elevator, but sometimes the rap game reminds me of the crack game/ I used to sport Bally’s and Cazals with black frames, but now I’m into new chicks, TECs, and Beck’s.”
The veteran actor portrays David King, a music mogul with the “best ears in the industry,” and the real-life Harlem emcee plays Young Felon, an aspiring rapper who goes to great lengths to get King’s attention. Washington said to Kimmel and the audience, who reacted to the preview with applause, “Full disclosure, everything I said there, I stole from a rapper named Nas. From a song called ‘Represent.’”
Though he also took the liberty to put his own flair on Nas’ bars too, namely converging the lines about Cazals and TECs into one lyrical flex. The homage to the Illmatic lyricist is a genuine nod from one New Yorker to another. “Nas is one of my favorites of all time because I talk a lot. So, he’s a wordsmith,” said Washington.
When asked if Nas’ song was ad-libbed into Highest 2 Lowest, the revered screen gem remarked, “Was King Kong ain’t got [s**t] on me? Nah, that’s what I do.”
In the gritty L.A. cop flick, Washington’s character, dirty narcotics officer Alonzo Harris, gets exposed for his underhanded dealings. In an unforgettable scene, his back against the figurative wall, he ferociously yells, “I’m the man up in this beast… King Kong ain’t got s**t on me!”
Director Antoine Fuqua revealed the emotionally charged line was improvised in a 2018 interview on “The Rich Eisen Show.” “It just came out of him… He gets so into the zone. He’s in the moment, and he did it… It was so powerful,” he explained.
From quoting Nas in Highest 2 Lowest to ad-libbing one of cinema’s most iconic lines, Washington continues to remind us why he will forever be a movie legend!

Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith Grab Lunch In Rarely Photographed Outing Together
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith stepped out together for the first time in quite a while on Saturday (September 6) in Malibu, Calif.
The estranged couple were seen getting their car from the valet while leaving after dining out at celeb hotspot Nobu.
Will kept it casual in a t-shirt and ball-cap, while Jada wore a flowy dress with a hood for their rare outing.
This marks a bit of a reunion for them, as Will has been touring the UK and Europe over the last couple of months, performing at various festivals.
The duo have not been photographed out much in over a year, with their last seen public outing back in November, and prior to that, the Bad Boys: Ride Or Die premiere in LA.
Around two years ago, Jada revealed that they had been separated since 2016, but continued to make public appearances together. She also shared that they’ll never get divorced.
It was recently announced that Will‘s upcoming Netflix action thriller Fast and Loose has found a director in John Swab, with Bad Boys producer Jerry Bruckheimer also boarding the project.

Macaulay Culkin Recalls 'Paternal' John Candy Being First to Notice 'Monster' Father's Behavior

Macaulay Culkin has nothing but love for the late John Candy.
The 45-year-old actor starred alongside John in the 1989 comedy Uncle Buck. In the new Colin Hanks-directed documentary John Candy: I Like Me, Macaulay is featured sharing what it was like working with the comedy icon.
According to Macaualay, John was the first person to notice his father’s “monster” behavior before it really reached its peak.
“He showed a lot of respect. When you’re 8 years old, you don’t really get respect, whether it’s in a workplace or just from adults and grown-ups in general. You felt invited in,” Macaualay said in the documentary, Entertainment Weekly reports. The actor also spoke about how John was unlike other actors who “don’t like” to work with kids.
“I think he always had that really great instinct,” Macaualay went on to say. “Listen, even before the wave crested and the Home Alone stuff was happening, it was not hard to see how difficult my father was. It was no secret. He was already a monster.”
Macaulay said that on the set of Uncle Buck, John was among the first people to take notice of his father Kit Culkin‘s behavior.
“I think John was looking a little side-eyed, like, ‘Is everything alright over there? You doing good? Good day? Everything’s alright? Everything good at home? Alright,’” Macaulay recalled, saying the actor checking on him like that was “a testament to the kind of man he was.”
“I remember John caring when not a lot of people did,” Macaulay said.

Jonathan Bailey to step back from acting amid 'everything happening in the world'
Coming off back to back Hollywood blockbusters, Jonathan Bailey is ready to press pause on acting.
In a British GQ interview published Sept. 3, the "Bridgerton" star said he plans to take a break from acting next year following the release of "Wicked: For Good." Instead of taking on more major roles like paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis or Prince Fiyero, Bailey plans to focus on his LBGTQ+ charity group known as the Shameless Fund.
"I've been working solidly for about three years now, which has been amazing and mind-blowing. But with everything happening in the world right now, I'm going to stop acting for a bit next year and just focus on the Shameless Fund," he says. “Over the next few months, I'll be focusing on staffing and making sure we get all the right people in all the right places."
Fans don't have to worry as his face returns to the big screen alongside Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo when the upcoming "Wicked" sequel releases in theaters this November.
Bailey's reveal comes after the release of July's "Jurassic World Rebirth," which grossed more than $855 million globally, and last November's "Wicked," which grossed more than $755 million worldwide and landed 10 Oscar nominations."
Jonathan Bailey attends the "Jurassic World Rebirth" global premiere in London, on June 17, 2025.
He's also kept busy with TV roles including congressional staffer Tim Laughlin in 2023's "Fellow Travelers" that landed Bailey an Emmy nomination last year in the supporting actor in a limited series category.
However in the looming 2026, Bailey will dedicate his focus to supporting LGBTQ+ people in the U.K. through the charity he founded last year.
September marks the end of summer and the start of fall, and Hollywood A-listers are gearing up for spooky season. But before they get in the Halloween spirit, they'll have to get red carpet ready for the MTV VMAs, the 2025 Emmy Awards and dust off their favorite fits for New York Fashion Week.
Here's what celebs are up to this month, starting with Jason Momoa and Oscar Isaac at the Cartier Glory To The Filmmaker Award 2025 red carpet during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 3, 2025, in Venice, Italy. Scroll through for more.
Founded by Jonathan Bailey, the Shameless Fund is dedicated to uplifting and protecting queer people by utilizing the power of celebrity.
"A few years ago I thought, What can you do as an actor? There are so many amazing people who are on the frontline. They’re the real heroes that are working for organizations, and charities, and initiatives," Bailey told Vogue last year. “How can I raise money without asking people to actually donate and sponsor, (but rather) to invite people to experience art and beautiful, inspiring, naughty, and exciting collaborations?"
During his interview with GQ, Bailey said the charity aims to be fun and creative while also making a real difference and finding solutions to better support the LGBTQ+ community.

Former President Biden to build presidential library in Delaware

Former President Joe Biden has decided to build his presidential library in his home state of Delaware, and is set to start a fundraising push to fund the effort soon, according to a senior member of the Joe and Jill Biden Foundation.
The effort is expected to be a heavy lift, as presidential libraries carry hefty price tags totaling into the hundreds of millions of dollars. Biden will start fundraising later than his predecessors and the donor requests come as Democrats continue to grapple with their path forward and where to invest money.
The library will be a key part of efforts to burnish Biden’s legacy. Since leaving the White House, Biden, 82, has spent much of his post-presidency in Delaware but has only given a few public speeches.
In May, he began treatment for an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that metastasized to his bones.
Biden’s team envisions constructing an “immersive museum” to recap his legacy and wants the library to become “a hub for leadership, service, and civic engagement.
“The project will serve as a vibrant and lasting space where history, learning, and civic leadership come together, inspiring future generations to lead with purpose, serve their communities, and strengthen our nation,” the senior member said.
The foundation recently approved a 13-member board of governance comprised of close allies and former administration officials. Rufus Gifford, a longtime Democratic fundraiser who served in the Biden and Obama administrations, will serve as board chair. Other notable members include former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former Delaware Gov. Jack Markell, and Steve Ricchetti, former counselor to Biden.
Biden’s team has yet to place a price tag on the library, but one source familiar with the matter said it’s expected to hit several hundred million dollars. The library is expected to be much smaller in scale than the sprawling campus that will house former President Barack Obama’s library, which had set a $1.6 billion fundraising goal.
President Donald Trump’s inaugural committee collected a staggering $239 million for those festivities, and a person close to Trump’s fundraising previously indicated that excess donations are expected to be directed toward Trump’s presidential library, which he has begun to collect sums for. For instance, the terms of a defamation settlement that Trump reached late last year with ABC News directed $15 million to a “presidential foundation and museum.”
But fundraising for Biden’s library could be a difficult task. Some donors previously expressed hesitation to CNN about giving money to the effort over frustration with the former president’s handling of the end of his presidency and concern of becoming targets for Trump.
Biden’s team has visited or met with officials from other presidential libraries and held conversations with local leaders in Delaware about possible partnerships as part of its planning efforts.
The exact location of the library hasn’t been decided. After leaving the vice presidency, Biden worked with the University of Delaware to set up the Biden Institute and many of his records from his senate career are housed at the university.

Hurricane Kiko Takes Aim at Hawaii: Emergency Declared as Storm Approaches

Hawaii is on high alert as Hurricane Kiko barrels across the Pacific, currently a Category 4 storm with maximum sustained winds of 130 mph. Early Friday morning, the state declared an emergency to prepare for potential impact, especially across the Big Island and Maui.
“Kiko is expected to weaken as it gets closer,” the National Weather Service noted, but the threat of high surf, strong winds, and dangerous currents remains serious.
At 5 a.m. HST, Kiko was 1,205 miles east-southeast of Honolulu, moving west-northwest at 25 mph. The storm could reach the eastern parts of the islands by late Monday.
Acting Governor Sylvia Luke stated, “To ensure the safety and preparedness of our communities, the state and counties will stand ready to mobilize resources to clear debris, secure infrastructure, and respond quickly to any possible damage caused by the storm.”
Meteorologists believe Kiko will downgrade before landfall due to cooler surrounding waters. Still, residents are urged to stay informed and ready.
This marks the second hurricane of the Pacific season, which runs through November 30th.
