#RHOA: Today’s Sheinelle Jones Reacts to Rumors She’s Joining ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’
Today’s Sheinelle Jones is responding to rumors that she could be joining the new season of The Real Housewives of New York City.
“My phone continues to explode,” Jones, 47, said on the Friday, September 26, episode of Today With Jenna and Friends. “My phone for the last 72 hours has been exploding.”
Guest Andy Cohen appeared visibly shocked to hear the morning show veteran was facing rumors that she could be joining Bravo’s juicy reality show.

“Well, this didn’t get to me,” he joked. “Would you ever?”
To the surprise of Jenna Bush Hager, Jones didn’t immediately say no to the idea.
“I bumped into June Ambrose,” Jones said. “I talked to everyone on the list, and we're all like, 'Ah!' The last week and a half, [there’s been rumors.] I plead the fifth.”
While Bush Hager, 43, joked that “you can’t leave us like that,” Cohen, 57, was impressed with the answer.

“It's the game,” he replied. “And she left the door open.”
Earlier this month, Bravo fan site Bravo and Cocktails received a tip that Jones, Ambrose, 54, and other New Yorkers were in negotiations to join The Real Housewives of New York City for season 16.
Bravo doesn’t comment on casting rumors and has not made any official decisions on a new season.

Jones later seemingly denied she would be participating in an upcoming season when she ended the segment by saying, “Relax, I'm not on this next season. Everyone's like, 'Are you really?!' Look at [Andy]. He's, like, salivating. It's just good television. Leave me alone.”
To her credit, Jones already had quite the impressive tagline when Cohen stopped by Today to celebrate 10 years of SiriusXM’s Radio Andy.
“Wearing Chanel is nice,” Jones said, “but being Shienelle is the ultimate luxury.”

Fans of The Real Housewives of New York City have been patiently waiting for any updates on the show ever since season 15 finished airing in February.
Cameras rolled as Racquel Chevremont, Erin Lichy, Rebecca Minkoff, Ubah Hassan, Sai De Silva, Brynn Whitfield, Jenna Lyons and Jessel Taank showcased their lives, friendships and fallouts.
Since the show wrapped, both Minkoff, 44, and Whitfield, 39, announced they would not be returning to the show for season 16.

While appearing on The View in June, Cohen confirmed that fans should expect to see some new faces when the show returns.
“We are between seasons, where we typically do a little casting, which is what’s happening now, and we’re very close,” he said at the time.
Jones herself has experienced a season of change in recent months. She resumed cohosting Today’s third hour on September 5 after taking a leave from the morning show in December 2024 to care for her husband, Uche Ojeh. He died in May at the age of 45 following a battle with brain cancer.

While returning to work has had its ups and downs, Jones said she remains grateful for all the support from viewers across the country.
“I had one of the most heartfelt conversations I’ve ever had with my mom because she’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, everybody’s so excited to have you back,’ and my father, and people at the grocery store sending me messages,” Jones shared on the Monday, September 22, episode of Today. “It’s heartwarming.”

#NewMusic from Mariah Carey Releases New Album “Here For It All”

#HipHopNews: Doja Cat Drops New Album ‘Vie’
On Friday, Sept. 26, Doja Cat released her fifth album, Vie. The Grammy Award-winning rapper and singer also shared the video for “Gorgeous.”

The new album arrives almost two years to the day since the release of the "Paint the Town Red" singer’s Scarlet album. She returns with a 15-track album filled with her pop-friendly tunes marked with occasionally sharp edges.

“The French word ‘Vie’ (translated in English: ‘life’) was a choice of wordplay by me starting with the simple fact that this is my fifth album. I wanted to stretch this from the roman numeral ‘five’ tattoo on my collarbone,” said Doja in a press statement. “Five in numerology represents curiosity, adventure, and change. I chose ‘Vie’ as a nod to ‘La Vie en Rose’ and tied it together with the theme of romance, and throughout this project, I give my interpretation on love, sex, romance, pain, and wonder within a relationship.”

The album’s lead single was the bubbly “Jealous Type” and the follow-up is the aforementioned “Gorgeous.” In the latter, the Bardia Zeinali-directed visual features a who's who of stunners, including Yseult, Paloma Elsesser, Alex Consani, Irina Shayk, Amelia Gray, Ugbad, Ida Heiner, Alek Wek, Karen Elson, Sora Choi, Imaan Hammam, and more. The video is styled after OG Revlon ads, and the tune will surely be all over TikTok and Instagram shortly.

But online, fans were immediately excited about “Take Me Dancing,” featuring SZA, who is the album’s sole guest feature. The YTK-produced song, and the third collab between the singers, is an up-tempo groove that is getting rave reviews. “SZA is the siren of this century and my favorite voice,” said Doja Cat herself in an X post on Wednesday (Sept. 24).

Next up for Doja is heavily promoting her latest project. She will be co-hosting NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Oct. 1. A few days later, on Oct. 4, she is scheduled to be the musical guest on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live ,” hosted by Bad Bunny, for its 51st season premiere.

Diddy’s Kids Write Plea For His Release From Prison
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ children and several of his ex-girlfriends have written letters on behalf of his character ahead of his upcoming sentencing, per Us Weekly.
Court documents show that all six of his kids, except his toddler daughter Love Sean Combs, wrote letters to Judge Arun Subramanian, asking for compassion as their father faces prison time.

The Bad Boy Records executive, is slated to be sentenced on Oct 3, following his July conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution of his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, and another woman known as “Jane” who had testified in the trial. He has been incarcerated at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center since his September 2024 arrest.

Diddy, 55, pleaded not guilty to all charges.
In their letters, they described Diddy as a supportive father who has always been present in their lives.

“I was around 4 years old when my Pops came into my life, and he has been the only father figure in my life for as long as I can remember,” he wrote.
“He stepped in and stepped up as a father, at an important time in my life, during my most formative years, in a way that no one else could have. He poured his love into me in a way that I couldn’t quite recognize as a child, a love that I’d only received from women in my life. It was unconditional, safe and unwavering. It still is.”

He added that after his mother Kim Porter died in 2018, Diddy became “the only person we could turn to. He became our rock.”
“Since his absence, life has felt incomplete. Each morning I wake up praying it was just a nightmare,” wrote Justin, whom Diddy shares with ex Misa Hylton. “My father has been there for me every day of my life — not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually and in the deepest sense of what it means to be a father. I know how rare that is.”

He then asked the judge “to see my father the way I do — not through headlines, but through the eyes of a son who loves and needs him. Please allow him the chance to come home, to be the father his children desperately need and to continue the work of becoming the man I know he is capable of being. My siblings and I cannot get back this lost time, but we pray you will give us the gift of having our father back in our lives while we still have time with him.”

Christian opened his letter writing, “I’m asking you to please let my father out of jail! He does not deserve to be there and I know this from the bottom of my heart!!” The son of Diddy and Porter continued, “We have been through a year of lies and discrimination and dehumanization and loneliness and separation and extreme stress on the family. This is my dad and he is the best father in the whole world. He has never ever taught me anything but to treat people with the most respect possible and to never be entitled and to always work for what I want and to treat people with love and kindness most importantly!”

“I am asking you from the bottom of my heart to consider him returning home to our family in October,” wrote Diddy’s eldest daughter. “My dad has always been our foundation. He’s not only a hardworking businessman, but he’s also the one who makes sure we’re cared for and supported. He takes care of my grandmother, his elderly mother, and he’s always been there for us, no matter what. We’ve missed so much over the past year with him and can’t imagine him missing any more milestones in our lives.”

She added, “I understand the seriousness of what’s happening, but I also know my father. He just needs the opportunity to come home, be with his family and prepare for what’s ahead and handle his legal matters. Please take this letter as my honest and heartfelt request to have him return home to us. It would be a blessing to have him home for the holidays.”
In a joint letter, Diddy’s 18-year-old twins with Porter emphasized that their lives “changed in the biggest way” following their mother’s death and then “shattered” after their dad’s arrest. “On that day it felt like we had lost everything,” they wrote. “Ever since then we have been forced to navigate our lives during an extremely hard and overwhelming time without parents. No mom or dad to go to when we are sad, happy, excited, nervous, stressed, lonely, anxious, overwhelmed or depressed.”

The twins added that their dad is an “inspiring person” who taught them to give back to their community. “Words can’t explain how much we miss him and we hope that you deeply consider returning him home to us,” they concluded.

Dana Tran
Tran asked the judge to release Diddy so he could spend more time with their daughter, Love, who is a toddler. “I have tried to keep her life as normal as possible, but the absence of her father has taken a noticeable toll,” Tran wrote. “She asks many questions about why she cannot be with him or why she can only see him under his current circumstances.”
Tran concluded by asking the court to “show compassion” and allow Diddy “to be an active father in our daughter’s life.”

Black Panther Party Leader Assata Shakur Dies At 78

Assata Shakur, a revolutionary fighter for Black Liberation, has died in Cuba at 78, per Democracy Now.
On May 2, 1973, Shakur was involved in a fatal roadside shootout on the New Jersey Turnpike that left State Trooper Werner Foerster dead and Trooper James Harper seriously wounded. Shakur was convicted of first-degree murder in 1977 and sentenced to life. She spent six and a half years in prison under brutal circumstances before escaping out of the maximum security wing of the Clinton Correctional Facility for Women in New Jersey in 1979 and moving to Cuba.

She had resided in Cuba since 1984, where she was granted asylum.
Her conviction for the murder of Trooper Werner Foerster, and subsequent escape garnered her a permanent spot on the New Jersey State Police’s Most Wanted List. The state long sought to extradite Shakur, who was born Joanne Chesimard, from Cuba, without success.

Cuban officials said she died in Havana of health complications and old age.
In her autobiography, Assata: An Autobiography, Shakur wrote: “It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains.”

Shakur, born on July 16, 1947, in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens, New York, was the sister of fellow Black liberation movement icon Mutulu Shakur, who died in 2023 at 72, and the godmother and step-aunt of late legendary rapper and actor Tupac Shakur, whose mother, Afeni, was Mutulu’s wife.

Quinta Brunson And Kevin Anik Settle Their Divorce
Quinta Brunson and her husband, Kevin Anik, have mutually settled their divorce.
According to TMZ, the amicable agreement follows Brunson’s filing for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce will become official after a judge signs off on their settlement.

The court documents confirm the pair had a postnuptial agreement governing their property disposition and agreed to an uncontested divorce.
In an interview with Bustle, Brunson spoke about dealing with a divorce in the public eye.
“I remember seeing people be like, ‘She announced her divorce,’” Bronson recalled. “I didn’t announce anything.”
“I think people have this idea that people in the public eye want the public to know their every move,” she continued. “None of us do. I promise you. No one wants [everyone] to know when you buy a house, when you move, when a major change happens in your personal life. It’s just that that’s public record information.”

Brunson also spoke about guarding her privacy.
“I love my fans, I love the people who watch Abbott,” Quinta expressed. “But when it comes to matters of your personal life, you do have to tune it out.”
“Those are invisible voices that aren’t in your home with you,” she added, “that aren’t in your personal life, that aren’t your friends.”

Outside of the divorce, Abbott Elementary will return for season five, Deadline reported. Taking it to another level, one episode was filmed live during a Philadelphia Phillies game.
“There are things to tease, but the most exciting thing is that we went to one of the most historic games ever in baseball — we could not have accounted for that; there was no way to know it would go that well, it’s what you imagine,” Brunson explained. “We were like, ‘Ah, we hope we get footage of, like, at least one home run.’ There were seven, and four by one player.”

Cardi B Seems To Diss Nicki Minaj On Young Thug’s “Uy Scuti”

Cardi B and Young Thug just dropped a grenade into the middle of a school yard. Everybody was relaxed—at least Nicki and Cardi. Cardi cleaned up all the chicks on her album, Am I The Drama? But not Nicki.
Cardi’s appearance on Thugger’s freshly released album Uy Scuti, she seems to change this notion. “On The News” has fans pulling out popcorn. Why? Because midway through her verse, Cardi spits: “How you laughing when I heard you getting beat on, gotta pay your n###a way every trip y’all be on.”

The Barbz and the Bardi Gang went into full detective mode. After a lull in the action, Cardi might’ve just fired another shot at Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty. You know Petty has a rep as a bad, bad man. People are wondering if he might get involved in this mess.
It would not be the first time. Petty and Offset had their own clash in 2023, but now that he is out of the picture, he may chill. The Nicki and Petty saga is rumored to be pretty toxic, but that is all unverified.

The second half paints Petty as a financially dependent husband. Nicki’s household has to be tense if they are having any discussion about this. He has had considerable legal troubles and very little career of note.

Young Thug has remained silent, but he certainly benefits since his streams are up. Do you think Cardi planned this to slow any momentum Nicki tries to get?
Nicki Minaj JUST announced her next studio album is slated for March 27, 2026. I am thinking this could be a coincidence.

So, did Cardi B diss Nicki Minaj on Young Thug’s “On The News”? People think so, but I am thinking “subs” do not matter until a name is mentioned.

Metro Boomin Found Not Liable In Sexual Assault Trial
A Los Angeles jury cleared Metro Boomin of all allegations in a civil sexual assault case that was filed in 2024.
The jury found that Vanessa LeMaistre failed to prove her claims, including allegations of rape and sexual battery.
Metro Boomin expressed gratitude after the verdict and acknowledged Young Thug’s support during the trial.

On Thursday (Sept. 25), a Los Angeles jury cleared Metro Boomin in his civil sexual assault case. Following a brief deliberation, the panel of five men and three women concluded that plaintiff Vanessa LeMaistre failed to prove all four of her claims against the “Trance” producer, including allegations of rape and sexual battery.
“I’m blessed and glad the truth prevailed,” Metro Boomin shared with reporters outside of the court, according to legal journalist Meghann Cuniff. He also thanked Young Thug, who attended his trial on Wednesday (Sept. 24).

The Grammy Award-nominated producer, whose legal name is Leland Tyler Wayne, was sued by LeMaistre in October 2024. In her initial filing, she claimed that they were introduced to one another during a trip to Las Vegas in 2016 and met at a studio in Los Angeles on several occasions.

According to her testimony, LeMaistre said she “blacked out” after consuming Xanax and having “a few sips” of alcohol that Metro Boomin provided at one particular studio session. She claimed that she then woke up in a hotel room to find him on top of her.
LeMaistre further alleged that, a year later, the producer released “Rap Saved Me” with 21 Savage and Offset, which she believed referenced her. Among the lyrics cited in the lawsuit were “She took a Xanny, then she fainted” and “She drive me crazy, have my baby.”
LeMaistre sought between $3.4 million and $3.7 million in damages. When asked how she arrived at those figures, she claimed they came to her during an “Ayahuasca ceremony” she participated in while visiting Peru in 2024.

As previously reported, Metro Boomin took the stand and denied the allegations. “I really don’t know where to start. This is crazy. I can’t even believe I’m up here doing this right now,” he told the court.
“For her to accuse me of something like this, it’s something I could never fathom. I can’t even say what I think should happen to people who rape people,” he continued. Metro Boomin later testified that he lost his mother to domestic abuse and said he believes sexual abusers should be “tortured and killed.”

Toni Braxton Shakes The Table Over Tamar’s “Unsupportive” Claims In ‘The Braxtons’ Teaser

The argument stemmed from Tamar's decision to have their niece Ashlee discuss allegations involving an aunt's ex on her podcast.

Toni Braxton and her younger sister, Tamar, nearly come to blows in the explosive season two teaser for their hit WE tv series The Braxtons.
The clip shows all four sisters — Toni, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar — seated for what was supposed to be a family dinner. Tensions boiled over when Tamar confronted her sisters about allegedly trying to dismantle her business, which includes her podcast.

WATCH HERE

“We have had a series of unfortunate events in the Braxton family lately,” Trina began, setting the stage. From there, Towanda pressed Tamar about not wanting to film with the group, a question Tamar brushed off, hinting that her sisters already knew the reason why.

That reason, according to Tamar, stemmed from backlash after she announced plans to invite their 32-year-old niece Ashlee onto her podcast. Ashlee previously alleged that one of her aunts “cut her off” after she revealed that an ex-partner of the aunt had sent her inappropriate messages when she was 16. Tamar said she wanted to give Ashlee a “safe place” to share her story, but claims she was hit with a cease-and-desist from her sisters before recording

“Y’all tried to shut down my business,” Tamar shouted, as her sisters denied ever filing the legal motion. “Nobody wanted to come to my defense.” That’s when Toni jumped in with, “So you’re gonna sit there and say ‘Toni Braxton ain’t never had your back?’” the Grammy-winning icon demanded. Tamar stood her ground, responding, “You didn’t have my back,” as Toni quickly fired back with a warning: “Don’t f**k with me… don’t f**k with Toni Braxton.”

The argument escalated as Tamar accused Toni of being the one who wanted Ashlee featured on The Braxtons this season. The “Unbreak My heart” singer shot up from her seat, pointed her finger in Tamar’s face, and doubled down: “Don’t you f**king go there… don’t play with me!”

Before the sisters could physically clash, the teaser cut to earlier footage of Tamar having lunch with Ashlee, who clearly will be the season’s most heated storyline.
The incident that sparked the heated exchange between the sisters dates back to December 2024 when Ashlee, who is the daughter of their brother Michael Braxton Jr., came to social media with shocking allegations

50 Cent‘s plans to further his entertainment endeavors in Shreveport, La., will continue after gaining approval to develop the downtown area of the city from the Shreveport City Council. According to local news outlet KTBS, construction is expected to begin as early as the fourth quarter of this year, or the first quarter of next.

This project is a legacy project for me. I don’t think I’ve done anything that directly affected as many people as this project will here in Shreveport, and I’m just excited to get to it.”

The Jimmy Kimmel blackout is completely over: Nexstar and Sinclair back down
The blackout of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” is over. Sinclair and Nexstar, the two major station groups that preempted the talk show earlier this month, are allowing the show to return to their ABC-affiliated stations on Friday evening.
This means that Kimmel will be seen again in major cities like Washington, DC, Nashville, and Seattle, as well as several dozen other markets.

The reversal is a victory for Kimmel and ABC and a reflection of the power that national networks have over local affiliates.
Both Nexstar and Sinclair, which together operate nearly a quarter of ABC-affiliated stations, have been accused of trying to curry favor with President Trump and TV station regulator Brendan Carr by keeping Kimmel off the air even after ABC reinstated the show nationally earlier this week.

Sinclair claimed in a statement on Friday that “our decision to preempt this program was independent of any government interaction or influence.”
Several hours later, Nexstar issued a statement saying much the same thing.
The preemptions began last week when Carr leaned into a conservative outcry over Kimmel’s Sept. 15 monologue about the suspected killer of Charlie Kirk by condemning the late-night host and threatening local station licenses.

Nexstar and Sinclair informed ABC that it would yank Kimmel from its stations, leading ABC to preempt the show nationwide.
Nexstar, which is seeking Trump administration approval for its acquisition of another station group, initially condemned Kimmel’s commentary and said it would air other programming instead.

Sinclair said at the time that ABC’s preemption was “not enough” and said it wouldn’t bring the show back until “formal discussions are held with ABC regarding the network’s commitment to professionalism and accountability.”

Sinclair also called on Kimmel to apologize to Kirk’s family and make a donation to Kirk’s conservative political organization, Turning Point USA, although the company didn’t say that was a condition of ending the blackout.
On Friday, Sinclair said that it did have discussions with ABC, but that the network did not accept its proposals “to strengthen accountability, viewer feedback, and community dialogue, including a network-wide independent ombudsman.”

“While ABC and Disney have not yet adopted these measures, and Sinclair respects their right to make those decisions under our network affiliate agreements, we believe such measures could strengthen trust and accountability,” the company added.
Nexstar, too, said on Friday that it held discussions with Disney executives and “appreciate(s) their constructive approach to addressing our concerns.”

The station owner defended its role as a local broadcaster, stating that “we stand apart from cable television, monolithic streaming services, and national networks in our commitment — and obligation — to be stewards of the public airwaves and to protect and reflect the specific sensibilities of our communities.”

But all of Nexstar’s stations, from Syracuse to Salt Lake City, are resuming Kimmel’s late-night show.
Some affiliates of both Nexstar and Sinclair had been inundated with calls from frustrated Kimmel fans in recent days.

On Thursday night, Kimmel made light of the continued preemptions in his monologue.
“Even though we are still being preempted in 60 American cities, on Tuesday, we had our second-highest rated show in almost 23 years on the air,” he said. “Our monologue from Tuesday night has more than 21 million views just on YouTube alone. And I want to say, we couldn’t have done it without you, Mr. President. Thank you very much. We got the Trump bump, and we appreciate it.”

Trump Is Still Fighting to Take Away Birthright Citizenship

Trump’s administration wants the justices to take up his executive order on citizenship again.
by THINKTANK September 26, 2025Reading Time: 2 mins read 0
Donald Trump isn’t done pushing his controversial plan to end birthright citizenship. Today, his administration officially filed requests with the Supreme Court, asking the justices to weigh in on his executive order that denies automatic U.S. citizenship to children born in the country unless at least one parent is a citizen or lawful resident.

The executive order, signed on Trump’s first day back in office in January 2025, immediately set off a wave of lawsuits. Federal courts across the country quickly blocked the order, saying it conflicted with the 14th Amendment, which guarantees citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil.

But Trump’s legal team is doubling down. In today’s filing, they argued the lower court rulings were too broad and overstepped by blocking the policy nationwide. The administration insists that the Supreme Court should be the one to decide if Trump has the authority to redefine birthright citizenship through executive action.

This is the second time this year that the justices have been asked to get involved in the issue. Back in June, in Trump v. CASA, Inc., the Supreme Court ruled that federal judges cannot automatically issue sweeping nationwide injunctions blocking presidential policies, unless that’s the only way to provide full relief to the plaintiffs. That ruling sent parts of the birthright citizenship cases back to lower courts but left the constitutional question, whether Trump’s order itself is legal, unanswered.

Now, the administration wants that constitutional fight squarely in front of the Court. If the justices agree to hear the case, the stakes are massive. A ruling in Trump’s favor could effectively undo a core part of the 14th Amendment that has defined American citizenship for over 150 years.
