#MAGFAB: Stanley Tucci Talks THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 for TOWN & COUNTRY Magazine
Stanley Tucci is the May cover star of TOWN & COUNTRY, which is celebrating its 180th anniversary this year. In advance of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 (opening on May 1), writer Jessica Pressler talks with the actor, memoirist, and painter/sculptor about how he has handled personal trials, professional triumphs, and internet adoration. Gird your loins. “Tucci? For Spring. Groundbreaking.” is on townandcountrymag.com now and in the May issue, available everywhere by May 5.
On returning to the role of Nigel Kipling in The Devil Wears Prada 2, and what’s changed since: He thinks the script is a “great commentary on the state of where we are now,” and he loves playing Nigel, who he has said is the character in his oeuvre most like himself. “I always think that acting is like you’re taking bits and pieces of your personality and you’re heightening them,” he says. “So you’re taking the part of me that loves fashion and is a bit of a peacock, the quippy parts, and amping it up a bit. Then you just make sure it remains real and true and that it always has a center, that it has a core, that it has a heart. Otherwise it’s just a pastiche.”

On landing Nigel in The Devil Wears Prada: Tucci likes to say he landed his role “after they tried to cast, literally, every other actor in Christendom,” including John Leguizamo, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’s Carson Kressley, and ostensibly someone British, because the character is called Nigel. “I did realize this time around, Oh, he’s more British than American, isn’t he?” Tucci says.
On aging in Hollywood: “I’m definitely entering a new phase,” he says. “As I get older, as everybody gets older, you’re bored more easily. And making movies is very repetitive. Now, when I’m on a movie set, I realize that by three o’clock in the afternoon I’m like, ‘Okay, we’ve got to get out of here because there’s this place for dinner that I like,’ or ‘I’m going to invite so-and-so from the cast over.’ I have become slightly more impatient. You’re like, ‘Okay, I did that. Now what?’”
On getting older: “I’m entering the winter of my years. There’s no question about it, but you can’t stop it. You can only try to make yourself enjoy it—and look as good as you can while it’s happening.” He laughs. “I mean, otherwise it’s f**king hopeless.”
On battling throat cancer and its impact on his family: “I mean, it was horrible,” Tucci says of the ensuing treatment, which was psychologically traumatizing given the experiences he’d had with his first wife [Kate Spath-Tucci], in addition to being physically debilitating. “I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t do anything for myself,” he recalls. “And Felicity—we had a three-year-old and she was about to give birth.” Their daughter Millie was born in 2018. “She gave birth in the same hospital that I was being treated in. That was awful for her.”
On what’s next: “I want to do so much,” he says. “I want to direct another play, I want to cook more, I’m interested in clothing design. And I’m really interested in devoting a significant amount of time to painting and sculpting.”

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Reveals the Real Reason She Left ‘RHOA’

Porsha Williams announced her exit from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in 2021. Of course, she’s since returned to the show, but there’s been an ongoing narrative that she left to avoid speaking about her marriage to Simon Guobadia. Now, years later, the “RHOA” star is dispelling that rumor, saying she’d already planned to leave the show.

Williams appeared on Carlos King’s “Reality With The King” podcast on April 28. While on the show, the famed reality television producer mentioned that she’d not only left “RHOA” amid her marriage to Guobadia, but also given up other jobs, including hosting “Dish Nation.”
That led her to say, “For the record, I left ‘Housewives’ for that break when I was around 40.” She went on to say that she “had planned for that financially, mentally, everything.” From there, Williams noted that this was after she’d had her daughter and that she wanted to “experience real life in real time outside of the cameras.”

The “RHOA” star continued, “I knew I was going to give myself that time to step away. I had financially prepared for that,” before noting that the show pays a substantial amount, meaning she had to prepare to not have that income.
Williams continued this line of conversation, discussing meeting Guobadia after having already decided to leave “RHOA.” According to her, “Then I met Simon, and at that point I was working at Dish Nation, and I was traveling with him and all that.”

She then explained that Guobadia wanted her to be with him more often. Because of this, he decided to “supplement that income.” Williams went on, “So that’s how that happened. I did not leave ‘Housewives’ because I got married. It was planned.”
Regarding the persistent rumors about her departure, she said, “Yeah, I don’t understand that. I’ve dealt with worse questions on ‘Housewives,'” before noting that she wouldn’t have returned for season 16 if that had been the case.

Later, Williams claimed she let Bravo know she wasn’t returning before the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 13 reunion.

#MusicNews: Hil St. Soul Preps Release Of Sixth Album ‘Nasalifya (Thank You)’
Hil St. Soul may have taken a 14-year hiatus between her fourth album Black Rose and fifth project Back In Love, but she’s not going to keep fans waiting that long for her sixth set. Three-and-a-half years after dropping her last effort, she is poised to release her new LP Nasalifya (Thank You) on Friday, May 8th.

The UK-based songstress first started teasing the set in 2024 with the songs “Back In Tha Day” and “I’m Done.” Fans didn’t know at the time that those tracks signaled the beginning of Hil St. Soul’s next album rollout. However, things became clearer earlier this year when she released the single “Nasalifya,” which translates into “thank you” in her mother’s native language Namwanga, and a music video filmed in Zambia in tribute to her deceased father.

All three songs will find a home on the new 11-track album. Other intriguing titles on the collection include “Good Vibes,” “Vibrate Higher” featuring Lina Loi, “Can’t Get Over You” and “The System Is So Broken.” Hil St. Soul fans can expect more of her signature neo-soul sound on this project, which is executive produced by her frequent collaborator Regi Myrix.

“I hope my gift brings enlightenment, joy, upliftment, escapism, healing and spirituality," the beloved singer said in a press statement. Hil needn’t worry; she already has.

Hil St. Soul’s sixth album Nasalifya (Thank You) will be released by her long-time label Shanachie Entertainment and is available to pre-save now on several digital music services. If you don’t want to wait until Friday, May 8th to hear it, though, come back to SoulBounce on Tuesday, May 5th for a sneak preview with our exclusive world premiere.

#HipHopNews: Youngboy Never Broke Again’s American Youngboy Documentary Earns $1 Million In First Week At Box Office – Report
Without much fanfare ahead of its release, YoungBoy Never Broke Again's documentary American YoungBoy reportedly earns over $1.1 million in its first week at the box office.
According to Box Office Mojo's report, finalized on Sunday (April 26), NBA YoungBoy's American YoungBoy documentary debuted at No. 10 on this week's box office totals, netting over $1.1 million domestically. The film opened in 583 movie theaters on April 22.

Directed by Nico Ballesteros, American YoungBoy, chronicles the Louisiana rapper's massive MASA Tour, which grossed nearly $70 million in 2025, making it one of the most successful solo rap tours in history. The flick features behind-the-scenes footage of YB's historic tour and moments of the rapper's home and family life between his shows. Producers for the concert film include NBA YoungBoy himself, alongside Patrick Hughes, Kyle Claiborne, and Antoine Banks.

According to reports, fans transformed various cinemas into rowdy, impromptu concerts, causing theater managers to reportedly kick everyone out. In a separate incident, police were called to a theater.

WRAL reported that seven teenagers were detained near the Regal Cinemas in North Hills, N.C., on Saturday (April 25) following a screening of American YoungBoy. Police reportedly responded to calls concerning a massive crowd allegedly fighting at the local Chick-Fil-A and the cinema. The Raleigh Police Department later confirmed that the seven teens were released to their parents.

Cynthia Erivo Stops DRACULA Mid-Show After Spotting Audience Member Filming the show
Cynthia Erivo stopped her one-woman theater show and walked off stage on Monday night after spotting a member of the audience filming her. The Wicked star – who ran the London Marathon just one day earlier – is currently starring in Dracula in London’s West End, and she plays all 23 roles!

The Dracula star stopped the show and called out the guest!
In a clip circulating on social media, confused audience members can be seen looking around as the show is paused. An unplanned intermission of Dracula was forced after Cynthia – the literal star of the show – noticed that someone was filming her.

“Not Cynthia Erivo clocking someone filming in the audience during Dracula and stopping the whole show,” the caption on TikTok read, with the poster later adding that the show was stopped for about 10 minutes.
In the comments section, there was a mixed response. Some people praised the actor for upholding theater etiquette, whereas others questioned whether it really matters that much.

“It’s the modern age … get a grip,” one person commented. “It’s never that deep,” added someone else.
“Good on her. Bring back theater etiquette,” someone else said on the flip side of the argument. “If she could see them filming from the stage, they were a distraction to everyone around them.”

“She’s a hard worker, very dedicated to her art,” agreed someone else. “I respect that so much.”

Chris Brown Wants To Block Former Housekeeper From Bringing Up Rihanna Assault In Current Court Battle
Chris Brown is hoping to keep his checkered past shielded from court. The Kiss Kiss singer is being sued by Maria Avila. She claims that he should be held responsible for an incident involving her in 2020. His former housekeeper alleges that he is to blame after being mauled by a dog at his Los Angeles home.

Maria is seeking a whopping $90 million in damages from Rihanna ex-boyfriend in this case. Chris was infamously convicted of assault during his time with the iconic singer.
The past is the past and irrelevant in this matter. At least that is how Chris and his team see the upcoming trial versus Maria. TMZ reports that Chris doesn’t believe his violent behavior in the past is information the jury needs to hear in this case. The worry is that this could unfairly influence their decision. His lawyers say that any references to his past domestic abuse issues are “improper, irrelevant, and unduly prejudicial.”

While his disturbing incidents while dating Rihanna were years ago, Chris’ past still gets referenced to this day. In February, singer Zara Larsson said there are so many artists she’s blocked on Spotify who have a history of abuse. She adds that you wouldn’t find “a Chris Brown song” on her playlists.

In Maria’s opinion, details about Chris’ past, including the abuse he inflicted on Rhianna, are important during the trial. She believes that it should at least not be off-limits to attack his credibility. Her lawsuit against him was filed in 2021 and has gone through several hurdles. At one point, the housekeeper requested the singer’s financial information.

For his part, Chris has denied any wrongdoing in this case. He argues that Maria provoked the dog at his home.

‘Little Women: Atlanta’ Star Ms. Juicy Arrested In Georgia On Suspended License & No Insurance Charges
“Little Women: Atlanta” star Ms. Juicy was arrested earlier this month in Winder and booked on two charges, according to local authorities.
Police records obtained by TMZ state King-Pearson was taken into custody on April 18 and charged with driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without insurance. The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest and said she later posted bail, though the bond amount was not disclosed.

According to the report, the arresting officer placed handcuffs on her wrists in front of her body because of her size and double-locked them.

Ms. Juicy built a career as a television personality, radio host, actress, and talent manager. She also spent years on “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” before gaining wider fame on “Little Women: Atlanta” in 2016.

Beyoncé’s Publicist Yvette Noel-Schure Debunks Brewing Fan Theory That Act Ill Will Kick Off At The Met Gala
The arrival of Act III remains unknown. Yvette Noel-Schure quickly shut down a growing fan theory that Beyoncé plans to launch her next era at this year’s Met Gala, set for Monday, May 4. Responding to an X fan page that laid out the reasoning behind the speculation, the famed publicist didn’t mince words, simply saying, “This is unequivocally false!!”

The debunking isn’t entirely surprising. Beyoncé is known for rolling out projects with little to no warning or traditional promotion, making fan theories like this easy to spark, but just as easy to shut down.

Dave Chappelle Set For Controversial Return To Hollywood Palladium For Netflix Is A Joke Fest

Dave Chappelle’s bringing three nights of comedy and live music to the Hollywood Palladium this May as part of Netflix Is A Joke Fest.
Dave Chappelle is bringing the Hollywood Palladium to life for three consecutive nights this May with a lineup that blends stand-up, live music, and surprise appearances nobody’s expecting.

The comedy legend announced the May 7-9 dates as part of Netflix Is A Joke Fest, the massive comedy event taking over Los Angeles with over 475 shows across 45 venues.
Tickets drop Wednesday, April 29, at 10 A.M. PT, and based on his track record, they’re not sticking around long.
This marks Chappelle’s return to the festival since 2022, when he opened the inaugural edition and made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

During that first show, a 23-year-old rushed the stage and tackled him, but security moved fast, and Chappelle walked away unharmed. The attacker, Isaiah Lee, got 270 days in jail for the incident.
Four years later, Chappelle’s ready to reclaim that stage and show the world he’s not going anywhere.
The momentum behind this announcement is real. Chappelle’s been on an incredible run lately. His Netflix special “The Dreamer” won a Grammy, and he dropped a surprise special, “The Unstoppable,” last December, marking his eighth project with the platform.

In 2025, he became the first comedian ever to receive the NAACP President’s Award, cementing his status as one of the most influential voices in comedy.
According to Deadline, the shows will feature music and guest appearances that haven’t been announced yet, which means the real magic happens when the lights go down.

The 2026 edition of Netflix Is A Joke Fest is shaping up to be historic, with comedy’s biggest names converging on LA for a week of pure entertainment.
Chappelle’s three nights at the Palladium represent the kind of event that defines a festival, and given everything he’s accomplished since 2022, this comeback feels like the right moment.

Prince Jackson Reacts To Cousin Jaafar’s Transformation As His Father

Prince Jackson, the son of Michael Jackson, praised his cousin Jaafar’s performance in Michael.
Speaking with ABC News about the hit film, which he worked on as an executive producer, Prince shared why he believes that fans of his father will love the movie.

“For those of us who were lucky enough to grow up with the Jackson 5 and the Jacksons, hopefully it will reinstate that feeling of nostalgia and fun and family,” Prince said.

“And for those of us like myself and younger that never got to experience that, I hope that it contextualizes the growth and the rise to stardom. And the hard work and effort that my father put into it,” he continued. “Overall, just being a really fun, entertaining time for children of all ages.”
Prince also shared that he was overcome with emotion when he saw Jaafar as his father.

“The first time that I saw him in person, in his hair and makeup, was really an emotional shock because I had not seen my father in a long time,” Prince said as he began to cry. “Jaafar just embodied him and brought him back at that moment.
“It was difficult to maintain and keep my composure because I just really wanted to give him a hug at that moment. But I had to tell him, ‘Jaafar, I’m proud of you. You are gonna do great, but I need to take a little step outside to get some air.’”

He also spoke about how the Jackson family was supportive of Jaafar acclaimed performance.

“As family, we’re very supportive, and we were every bit confident that Jaafar would perform,” said Prince. “But I’m happy to say that I think Jaafar greatly exceeded our expectations. “I’m blown away with what he has done here.”

Nick Cannon Says He’s in Therapy Four Times a Week, Calls It ‘Waste Management’
Nick Cannon takes care of his mental. In a new conversation with Iyanla Vanzant for his Counsel Culture Show, he reveals that he’s in therapy “four times a week.”
When Vanzant asked what his intention was, he said he started going since he was studying for his Master's in psychology.

“Part of the work was to make sure you actually spend time in therapy, but it's been some years now, and I yearn for it,” he continued. “I first went in like, ‘Oh yeah, I'm just doing this to pick your brain and understand the process. I'm good.’ Then really spending that time. Personally, for me, those hours every week, I call it waste management. It's where I get to just go and let it all out.”
He explained that therapy isn’t a place where he goes to “necessarily make sense of everything,” but “to verbalize, to have the opportunity to ponder and sit and sometimes cry, sometimes just breathe.”

He added, “I always call it my spiritual bandwidth. I can only take so much before I have to get it all out.”
Cannon famously has 12 children with six different women. Back in 2021, he shared some advice that his therapist gave him regarding procreating.

“My therapist says I should be celibate,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “This is the thing...you can’t be like, ‘No, I’m done.’ Like, what if God says, ‘No, you not.’ I was always like, ‘Yo, I want a big family,’ too. So, you know, the Lord has blessed me with what I asked.”

Digital Underground Member Cleetis Mack Reportedly Dies

Digital Underground member Cleetis Mack, real name Cleveland Askew, has reportedly passed away.
A representative for Digital Underground reportedly told TMZ that Mack unexpectedly died recently, and that his death “leaves a void in our Digital Underground family and in our hearts that can never truly be filled.” A cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, and his age at the time of death hasn’t been revealed.

Mack, also known as Clee, joined the legendary Oakland hip-hop group in 1993. Digital Underground was founded in Oakland in 1987 by Shock G, Chopmaster J, and Kenny-K. His first appearance on one of their records was “Wussup WIt the Luv,” which also featured 2Pac before his departure to focus on his solo career.

The group added that Mack was “more than a part of the movement—he was part of the soul behind it, bringing warmth, loyalty, and quiet strength to everyone around him. He will always be remembered by his humility, love, and spirited energy, qualities that lifted those around him and made a lasting impression on all who knew him.”

The group, which now only consists of Money-B and Young Hump, is still active on social media and has not publicly addressed Mack’s sudden death.

In 2021, Digital Underground founding member Shock G was found dead at age 57 from an overdose of fentanyl, alcohol, and methamphetamine.

Lizzo Celebrates Her 38th Birthday in Sheer Dress During Dinner Date with Boyfriend Myke Wright
Lizzo had a night on the town to celebrate her 38th birthday! The singer-songwriter was joined by her boyfriend Myke Wright for dinner at Chateau Marmont on Monday night (April 27) in Los Angeles.

Lizzo wore a dress with some sheer elements, showing off a little bit of skin.
Earlier that day, Lizzo made a big announcement – her third studio album is going to be released on June 5 and she asked fans to pre-order as a birthday gift to her.

The album is titled Bitch and Lizzo explained the meaning.
“Reclaiming the word Bitch is power – it’s taking a label once used to diminish women and turning it into a declaration of confidence, and unapologetic self-love,” Lizzo she said. “So many incredible women in music have used the word for positivity like Meredith Brooks and Missy Elliot. It was only fitting to name my album Bitch because it has become my favorite word when using it on my own terms and because I am 100% that bitch!”

She wrote on Instagram, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! To celebrate I present to you — MY NEW ALBUM ?????????? COMING JUNE 5TH. Wanna get me a gift? Pre-order my album baby!!!!”

Kirk Franklin’s Biggest Regret Is Signing Over His Publishing at 22, But His Next Birthday Could Come With a Check
Kirk Franklin is speaking candidly about a business decision that still follows him decades later. During a recent Instagram Q&A, the gospel legend said his biggest regret in music was giving away his publishing rights at just 22.
Franklin said he was trying to survive at the time and did not understand the value of what he owned.

“Most of you know my biggest musical regret,” he said. “I regret that at 22 years old, because I was hungry and homeless, that I did not understand the value of what I had in my hand.”
He explained that losing control of his songwriting and publishing affected more than his own pockets. “I did not understand the value of my songwriting and music publishing and what that meant for my children’s children,” Franklin said.

The multi-award-winning artist added that choices made from desperation can carry long consequences. “And I made decisions out of ignorance and out of hunger that have affected me in ways that have had long-term implications.”
Now, he says relief may be on the way. Franklin revealed that copyright reversions could soon allow him to reclaim those rights as he approaches 57.

“Now, the grace is at my age, now there are some reversions that I soon will be blessed to experience,” he said.
Even with the regret, Franklin kept perspective “All things work together for good,” he said, later adding that “fruit out of season will kill you.”

Franklin previously shared that he received some of his publishing rights in his 40s. However, when he turns 57 on January 26, 2027, that could ensure him his rights back or a large payout. Either way, this music icon is counting down.
