#RHOA: Nene Leakes I Didn't Vote For Trump Despite Fun On 'Celebrity Apprentice'
'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star NeNe Leakes was hesitant to talk about her experience with President Trump on "The Celebrity Apprentice" in a recent interview -- but she did reveal she did not vote for him.
NeNe sat down for an interview with Vulture and spilled about Trump, where she stands with Bravo and Andy Cohen, and her thoughts on the current state of 'RHOA.'

When asked about Trump -- with whom she worked on the NBC reality show in 2011 -- NeNe said, "Girl, I don't need to be talking about Trump."
NeNe reiterated that she never had issues with Trump on set and that he never had a problem with her. She said Trump is the one who introduced her to John Kolaj, who is the man in an infamous 'RHOA' clip of her being gifted a Rolex.
NeNe said, “What I know about him is I feel like he’s the kind of person that can adapt to any situation.”

Despite the good time on 'Celebrity Apprentice,' NeNe said she did not vote for him. “I’m not a Republican; I'm okay with saying that.” She said her family was poor, “so my family were Democrats.” She also complained about the cost of living under Trump.
When talking about 'RHOA,' NeNe said the show has changed drastically since she left in 2020. Nene was not eager to talk about the lawsuit she brought against Bravo over alleged discrimination ... Bravo has denied all claims of wrongdoing.

NeNe would eventually dismiss the lawsuit. “It is what it is,” NeNe said during the interview.
She said she has exchanged texts with Andy ... but they have not spoken on the phone or in-person.

NeNe is set to return to the network this year for "Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th," which will feature a bunch of cast members from various franchises.

#HipHopNews: The Bronx School of Hip-Hop Will Open This Fall in New York City
A new high school focused on hip-hop is coming to New York City.
According to the New York Daily News, the Bronx School of Hip-Hop will open in Claremont and begin with about 115 to 125 ninth graders, eventually expanding into a full high school.

Founding principal Jason Reyes described the approach as rooted in culture and academics.
“At the core of what we're talking about here is hip-hop culture being used as a vehicle for learning," Reyes said. “This is not just performing arts. It's that and students really digging deep into literary analysis. A good example would be, I'm looking at Kendrick Lamar's album, To Pimp A Butterfly, and I'm comparing that to, let's say, Catcher in the Rye, understanding rhetorical devices."

He added, “And mathematics, you might see students understanding pattern recognition in music, and then creating an algebraic equation.”
Reyes said the school is meant to connect with disengaged students, saying, "Students are disengaged when they don't see themselves in the learning. This school is designed for this generation."

He also said students will graduate prepared for careers in the hip-hop industry or for college. He shared a plan for the school to partner with Lehman College and Bronx Community College to offer college credit in fields like audio engineering, video production, graphics, and business.
The school’s advisers include Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz, and Special Ed, and aims to build additional partnerships with artists.

The Bronx School of Hip-Hop is part of a broader rollout of five new public schools across the Bronx and western Queens.
City officials say the expansion is meant to address overcrowding, respond to shifting enrollment trends, and offer more tailored options for families, even as overall student numbers continue to decline and the system faces pressure to reduce class sizes.

An opening date for Bronx School of Hip-Hop has yet to be announced.

Ashlee Jenae's Fiancé Joe McCann Getting Threats After Influencer's Tragic Death

Ashlee Jenae's fiancé Joe McCannhas experienced racism and received online threats after her tragic death ... TMZ has learned.
Sources close to Joe tell us ... ever since Ashlee died while on a trip to Tanzania in March, Joe and his family have received an overwhelming number of death threats and messages of hate.

We're told this situation is particularly hard on Joe ... because the insinuation that he had anything to do with her death hurts him deeply.
Our sources say Joe truly loved Ashlee ... and he'd never hurt her -- or any other woman, for that matter. Joe has been more than happy to work with authorities during their investigation, our sources add.

On top of the threats, we're told Joe has also experienced a wave of comments attacking him because he and Ashlee were in an interracial relationship. Our sources say these comments often push a narrative about him -- a well-off white man -- killing his Black fiancée.

We were also told Joe is very aware these comments are being made ... and his "pain is being compounded by racist vitriol."
According to a local outlet, police initially believed it was a suicide and have not announced anything to the contrary ... but Ashlee's family doubts that's something she would ever have done.
Joe -- who proposed to Ashlee on the trip -- was questioned by investigators after her death and his passport was even seized, though he has not been arrested for in connection to her death.

Ashlee's family has decided to prohibitJoe from going to her funeral, sources told us. Our sources tell us Joe is in Africa so he was not able to attend the funeral. If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org.

“Michael” Biopic Sparks 400% Increase in The Jackson 5 Streams
The Jackson 5’s music is having a major moment again, thanks to the buzz surrounding the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael.
The film’s release has sparked a surge in streams, pushing the legendary group back into daily rotation across platforms. On May 4, their catalog pulled in 3.7 million streams on Spotify, marking their biggest streaming day of the year. That number reflects a 400 percent jump from the same point last month.

The spike carries deeper meaning. It marks the group’s largest non-holiday streaming week ever recorded. For a catalog that never left public consciousness, that kind of growth signals renewed energy. The timing ties directly to the film, which revisits Michael Jackson’s early rise within the group.

Audiences are connecting with those early chapters. The film spotlights the group’s formation, their raw talent, and their breakout sound.
For many viewers, those scenes stand out as emotional anchors. They also serve as an entry point for younger fans discovering the music for the first time.
That connection is translating into action. Music biopics often trigger spikes in streams, but this wave feels stronger.

Viewers leave the theater and search for the songs that shaped the story. The result blends nostalgia with discovery, creating a powerful listening cycle. Streaming platforms play a key role in that shift. Access is instant.

Colman Domingo Honored With Degree And Inspires Temple University Graduates
Colman Domingo made a heartfelt return to Temple University as he was honored with an honorary degree during the university’s 2026 commencement ceremony.
The acclaimed actor, known for his Oscar nominations and Emmy-winning role on HBO’s Euphoria, addressed the crowd of thousands of graduates inside Philadelphia’s Liacouras Center. His keynote speech combined motivation, humor, and valuable insights drawn from his own journey.

“You did it, you put in the work, you put in the effort, you woke up, you showed up, you showed out,” Domingo told the assembled Class of 2026, emphasizing the importance of persistence and dedication as graduates prepare to face an uncertain future.
This event held special significance for the Philadelphia native, who attended Temple in the late 1980s but left early to pursue his acting career. The university formally recognized him as “Temple Made” by awarding him the honorary degree, celebrating his achievements and connection to his alma mater.

For current students and alumni alike, Domingo’s presence symbolized a successful return home. Amber Rose Admits She Urged Kanye West To Drink Before 2009 VMA Incident

Amber Rose recently opened up about her role in one of hip-hop’s most notorious moments, revealing she encouraged Kanye West to drink alcohol before his controversial interruption at the 2009 MTV Video  Music Awards.

The model and entrepreneur appeared on the "Ball in the Family" podcast hosted by Lonzo and LiAngelo Ball, where she candidly admitted to hyping up Kanye before the event. According to Amber Rose, she told Kanye, "You're a f###### superstar. We need to get that Hennessy. We need to be on the carpet just taking shots of Henny on the carpet."

She continued to boost his confidence, emphasizing, "You the biggest thing in the whole world." However, the situation quickly escalated beyond what she anticipated once they arrived at the awards show venue.

Amber Rose recalled, "All of a sudden I'm just sitting there and then he's on stage. I'm like, 'Oh s###. I was not expecting that.'" Kanye famously took the microphone during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video, interrupting to say, "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time."

While acknowledging the stunt went too far, Amber Rose defended Kanye’s core message, stating, "That's naturally Kanye's personality. Do I agree with how he did it? No. But was he right? Yes. That's how I feel."
Amber Rose and Kanye dated from 2008 until 2010, with their relationship ending as Kanye’s attention turned toward Kim Kardashian. In 2012, Rose publicly accused Kim Kardashian of being a "homewrecker" in their split. Kanye and Kim later married, divorced in early 2021, and Kanye is now married to Yeezy architect Bianca Censori.

Following her relationship with Kanye, Amber Rose married rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2013. They share a son named Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, who is now 13 years old. The couple divorced after one year of marriage. She also has a 6-year-old son named Slash Electric Alexander Edwards with AE Edwards.

Despite the lasting notoriety of the 2009 VMAs incident, Amber Rose revealed she has since spoken with Taylor Swift and assured there is no ongoing tension between them.
This revelation offers new insight into the behind-the-scenes events that shaped a defining moment in pop culture history, highlighting the complex dynamics between the key figures involved

Hayden Panettiere Comes Out: 'Yes, I Am Bisexual'
Hayden Panettiere, who says she has dated women in the past, is now “comfortable” with describing herself as bisexual.
The Scream franchise alum, whose new memoir This Is Me: A Reckoning is out later this month, recently spoke with Us Weekly ahead of the book’s release. During the interview, she reflected on having dated women earlier in her career, though the persistent presence of paparazzi complicated this period of her life.

“I have explored it, but because I hadn’t shared this with anybody, I didn’t really have the courage to throw myself fully emotionally into it,” she said, as seen here. “Because then if I did fall in love, that wasn’t something that I wanted to ever have to hide.”
Asked outright whether she currently subscribes to any specific labels, Panettiere confirmed that she does.

“Now that I know that this book is coming out, and that I’ve chosen to share it with the world, I’m comfortable to confidently say that yes, I am bisexual,” Panettiere, also known for her performances in Heroes and Nashville, told the publication. “I said it! This is the first time I got to say it out loud.”

Panettiere is set to support the release of her new book with a series of public appearances, including stops in Los Angeles and Nashville.
The 36-year-old actress was seen earlier this year in the Brandon Auman-directed thriller Sleepwalker, which she also executive-produced. She last appeared in the Scream franchise in 2023’s Scream VI, led by Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega.

The Pussycat Dolls Cancel Most North America Tour Dates, Keep One Show

The Pussycat Dolls – made up of Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts in their current formation – are no longer going on tour in North America, aside from one planned performance.
The tour was set to kick off in June alongside Lil’ Kim and Mya, and would have ran across the U.S. and Canada through August.

The “Don’t Cha” girl group revealed the news in a statement posted to social media on Monday (May 4).
“Dolls, we want to share an important update with you,” the statement began.

“When we announced the PCD FOREVER Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates,” they continued.

“@officiallyoutloud at WeHo Pride in Los Angeles is still happening on June 6, 2026, and we could not think of a more meaningful place to celebrate with our fans. The LGBTQ+ community has shown us so much love and support throughout our career, and we’re honored to be part of a weekend rooted in joy, pride, music, and chosen family.”

“Our UK and European dates are still moving forward as planned, and the response has been incredible, with several shows already sold out. We are putting everything into making this show a true celebration of the music and the memories, for the fans who have been with us from the beginning and those discovering us for the first time. We’re working hard to create the kind of show we’ve always dreamed of bringing to you. We cannot wait to bring this reunion to Europe and make these nights unforgettable,” the statement continues.

“If you purchased through Ticketmaster or on AXS in Nashville, refunds will be issued automatically. If you purchased from a third-party reseller (StubHub, SeatGeek, VividSeats) etc., please reach out to your point of purchase. Thank you for your love, patience, and support.”

The group released a new song, “Club Song,” alongside the tour announcement earlier in 2026.
Nicole Scherzinger went viral earlier in the year when asked about why some PCD bandmates were not included in the current reunion, and playfully reacted to the awkward reaction moment in a TikTok.

Hudson Williams Shares BTS Photos From Met Gala With Connor Storrie As Party Details Come Out

The Heated Rivalry co-stars walked the carpet separately, but that didn’t stop the real-life best friends from meeting up and eventually spending a lot of time together.
The next day, Hudson was seen leaving The Mark Hotel with his luggage in tow, seemingly heading back to work on his upcoming film Apparatus with Dylan O’Brien, where he was filming just days earlier.

He also took to his Threads account to share some snaps from the night before, including a bathroom selfie with Connor at the gala, as well as another pic of Connor drinking from a faucet in another bathroom at an after party. Alexa Chung also shared a cute pic of the guys at the Met!
Later on, Hudson replied to a since deleted post, commenting, “Rpfing gotta stop yall,” in response to fans shipping him with his bestie.

Page Six reported several details from an insider about Hudson and Connor‘s night out at the after parties following the Met Gala.
The publication reports they “closed down” the GQ after party, where a source said their “bromance was impossible to miss.”
Their source added that after Hudson was seen chatting with Olympian Alyssa Liu, he met up with Connor at an upstairs outdoor terrace.

“Hudson wanted to continue the night and wants to have a cigarette and talk about plans, but he didn’t want to be outside because there were hundreds of people and a photo pit,” the source said. “They unlocked [the] top of the building and a small group went up and then [Williams] texted Connor Storrie.”

That same source said the duo were inseparable all night.
“They were weaving through the room hand-in-hand and, at one point, even sitting on each other’s laps, laughing like they had the place to themselves.”
Hudson and Connor, affectionately referred to as HudCon by fans, were reportedly the last to leave the GQ party, and kept the night going at another party at Baz Luhrmann‘s bar Monsieur.

That same night, Connor also attended the YSL after party – he wore a different look from the one by the brand he donned at the Met Gala earlier in the night.
On Tuesday (May 5), Connor was also seen in and out of his hotel, where he’s pictured here arriving back with some fruit and water in hand.

NYPD Captain Gets Reassigned After Calling Mayor Zohran Mamdani “An Embarrassment”

An NYPD captain learned quickly that talking spicy while on duty can come with consequences. The badge talked recklessly about the NYC Mayor and it came back to bite him.
As spotted on The Gothamist, Capt. James Wilson was transferred after he was seen on video criticizing New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani while working the scene of an anti-immigration enforcement protest in Bushwick, Brooklyn over the weekend. According to the report, Wilson was moved on Monday to the NYPD’s communications division at a 911 call center in The Bronx.

The video in question shows Wilson speaking with members of a crowd that had gathered outside Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. The protest reportedly formed after word spread that a man arrested by ICE agents earlier that day had been brought to the hospital. Police were called to the scene after multiple 911 calls were made about a large group outside the building.

During the exchange, Wilson was asked about Mamdani and did not exactly keep things neutral. “He’s nonsense,” Wilson said in the clip. “He’s, you know, like temporary.” Wilson also reportedly said “Not my boss,” before calling the mayor “an embarrassment and total nonsense.” The captain then took things even further by saying, “All Democrats: a waste of human race.”

Yeah, not exactly the kind of public-facing commentary the department is probably looking for from one of its captains while on the clock. An NYPD spokesperson told The Gothamist that department policy prohibits officers from publicly expressing personal views about a political party while they are on duty. The spokesperson also said Wilson’s disciplinary process is ongoing.

The protest outside Wyckoff Heights Medical Center also led to several arrests. Officers took nine people into custody, with eight arrested on various charges and one person given a summons and released. The incident comes as another video from the same demonstration has also drawn attention. In that footage, an NYPD officer is seen throwing a demonstrator to the ground. At a Monday press conference, Mayor Mamdani called that video “incredibly disturbing” and said the matter is being investigated.

As for Wilson’s comments, Mamdani reportedly said he had not seen that particular clip yet but would follow up. A City Hall spokesperson declined to comment on Wilson’s transfer.

Hantavirus latest updates: Confirmed cases rise to 5 from Dutch cruise ship, WHO says
People in three U.S. states are reportedly being monitored for potential hantavirus infections after traveling on a cruise ship at the center of a deadly hantavirus outbreak.

Three people – a Dutch couple and a German national – died in the outbreak on the MV Hondius. In all, eight people, including a Swiss citizen, are suspected to have contracted the virus. The number of confirmed cases has risen to five, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that US travelers were being monitored, but that the risk to the American public was extremely low at the time.

According to The New York Times, people in three U.S. states – California, Georgia and Arizona – were being monitored for possible infections, though none had shown signs of illness.
The Georgia Department of Public Health said it was monitoring two residents who had returned home after disembarking from the cruise ship, according to Reuters. Arizona health officials were checking one individual. None were showing any signs of infection.

So far, one of the five confirmed cases of hantavirus has died. The deaths of the other two have not been confirmed to be from the virus. Two of the confirmed cases were among the three patients evacuated to the Netherlands on Wednesday to receive medical care.
The third evacuated patient has no symptoms, but was “closely associated” with a passenger who died on May 2 and is being tested.

Officials are trying to track down passengers who left the ship before the outbreak was reported. Dutch officials said around 40 passengers had disembarked in St. Helena. The whereabouts of many of these passengers is as yet unknown. One French citizen had been in contact with a person who had fallen ill, but was not showing symptoms.

The cruise ship has been cleared to continue its voyage and has departed Cape Verde for Spain’s Canary Islands, which will take three to four days, according to Oceanwide Expeditions. Despite opposition from local officials, Spain’s health minister has doubled down on the plan for the ship to dock on the island of Tenerife.
Hantavirus is typically passed from rodents to humans through feces, saliva or urine. It can cause severe respiratory illness and can be fatal. Human-to-human transmission is rare. In the three confirmed cases on the cruise ship, the patients tested positive for the Andes strain, which can be transmitted among people.
