#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey ‘Lost Confidence’ After Menopausal Weight Gain. Now She’s 40 Lbs. Down and ‘Feels So Good’

Cynthia Bailey is down 40 lbs. and getting her confidence back.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 59, recently spoke to PEOPLE about navigating the way her body has changed as she's gotten older and how she's approaching her health.

Bailey says she never had problems with her weight and was always “skinny” after starting her career as a model early on. She also prides herself on being able to “get things done” and accomplish the things she works for, including staying on top of her health.
So, when she reached her 50s and started dealing with menopausal weight gain, she was caught off guard.
“I tried to diet, I had a trainer, I was working out. I was definitely making the effort. But when I got to this one particular crossroad after menopause, I just could not fix it,” she tells PEOPLE. “And that was really frustrating for me as someone who is a little bit of a control freak.”

Bailey admits that her fluctuating weight started to take a toll on her mentally, and she became a lot more self-conscious.
“My fans, they've been with me since I was modeling. So they've seen Cynthia the model, Cynthia the reality star, Cynthia the actress. And the comments on social media are like, ‘Oh wow, she needs to lose weight. She looks a mess. She really let herself go. What happened to her?' I read all those things and, you know, it's hurtful,” she says. “I'm still human. And I found myself agreeing with some of the comments.”

“As someone who lives their life in the spotlight, I was actually starting to lose confidence,” she continues. “I was finding myself not wanting to do the red carpets anymore. I just kind of wanted to be more in the background, trying to hide the weight. Even watching myself back on TV being 30 to 40 pounds heavier, it was hard.”
In early 2025, the mom of one decided to turn to Weight Watchers, which she says “felt like a safe space” to begin her weight-loss journey. She started with a program to change her relationship with food and create healthy lifestyle habits that she could maintain. She then got prescribed a GLP-1 medication to assist.

“I just wanted to feel good again and I wanted to look good again. And I'm not afraid to say that,” she says. “I feel like when you look better, you feel better.”
“I knew I needed to first get on a program because for me, it was about being able to maintain a certain weight once I got there as opposed to losing weight quickly,” she adds.

Bailey says she almost entirely removed bread from her diet and she limits herself to one alcoholic drink per outing. She also focuses on healthy alternatives to her typical meals so she can still enjoy her favorite foods.
“I think that's why I've had so much success because now it's just my life,” she says.
Bailey — one of the cover stars for Weight Watchers' The Mother Issue — says she's lost more than 40 lbs. since starting the program a year ago.

“I went from 206 lbs. to yesterday I weighed in at 165 lbs. And in my mind, I was like, ‘Man, if I could get back to just 160, that would be the perfect healthy weight for me.' I'm almost there.”
Despite the progress, the reality star stresses that she has no desire to be “skinny” again, embracing how her body has changed as she's aged.

“It's not about being skinny. I've been skinny my whole life. I just want to be my healthy weight and my healthy weight actually is not skinny. I just look good,” she boasts. “I look the weight that I am comfortable looking and I can fit my clothes the way I wanna fit my clothes. More than anything, for me, it's about the health of it all.”
As she continues her journey, Bailey tells PEOPLE that she's learned not to be too hard on herself and that being transparent has been really beneficial for her progress.

“Although I come from an industry where aesthetics do matter, I give myself grace by just being authentic about my journey and sharing it,” she explains. “I'm not alone. I'm not the only person getting older. I'm not the only person that went through menopause. So I don't wanna beat myself up about it.”
“I'm at a healthy weight and I feel so good,” she says. “It just feels so good to be able to get dressed, look at yourself in the mirror and like what you see inside and out.”

#MusicNews: Legendary R&B Singer Peabo Bryson Has Died at 75

Peabo Bryson has died at age 75. Per TMZ, the Grammy-winning R&B singer passed away on Tuesday evening after suffering a stroke.
The family issued the following statement to TMZ: “With broken hearts and profound sadness, the family of two-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and balladeer, Peabo Bryson, announces his passing.”
It was reported that Bryson, who previously suffered a heart attack in 2019, had a stroke on Sunday. His rep told Variety, “Two-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and balladeer, Peabo Bryson — the voice behind the Oscar-winning Disney songs ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and ‘A Whole New World’ — has suffered a stroke and is currently under medical care.”

Aside from his iconic vocal performances for Beauty and the Beast (“Beauty and the Beast” with Celine Dion) and Aladdin (“A Whole New World”), Bryson released 21 solo studio albums over his career that spanned 50 years. He also released collaborative projects with Natalie Cole and Roberta Flack.

Bryson’s last album, Stand For Love, was released in 2018. The Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-produced LP featured collaborations with Chanté Moore and Gary Clark Jr.

In an interview with Rated R&B, Bryson shared more about the album: “This project started with trust. There’s probably not more than two other people on this planet I would have trusted with this [album] for me than Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.”
He continued, “I knew it was the right thing to do. We set challenges for each other and those challenges were met and superseded in ways that you can only dream about. Their process was a wonderful thing for me … how involved they want you as an artist to be. They aren’t trying to make you into a cookie-cutter image or a projection of themselves. They want you to be you.”

Jimmy Jam also chimed in about the album and working with Bryson. “He’s such a quality artist,” he told Rated R&B. “He’s like that fabric maker who is bringing you the best silk and the best cotton in the highest quality. So when we put those fabrics together and custom make our suits, it’s the finest suit you can buy. We can try to put that same suit on someone else but they’re not going to be able to wear it like he can wear it. Peabo can wear it with so much class and sophistication, which is what he brings to music.”
Jam added, “And we just feel like it’s needed right now. It’s like one of those things you don’t know that you have it until all of a sudden it’s there and you’re like, ‘Whoa. Music hasn’t sounded like this in a while.’ But then there hasn’t been an artist like him. So that’s what it is. It’s a combination.”

Bryson was set to release his final album, Grace, produced by Jam and Lewis, this year, as well as a memoir and tour. “It’s surreal. Most people don’t get to say they’ve had a five-decade career in anything, let alone music. But what makes it even more special is that I almost didn’t make it to see this milestone,” Bryson said.
“The Golden Touch Tour is a celebration — of survival, of 50 years of music, and of the incredible fans who have supported me through it all. We’ll span my entire career, but with a new energy that comes from knowing how precious each performance really is.”

Bryson is survived by his wife, daughter, son and three grandchildren.

#HipHopNews: Quando Rondo Released From Prison To Halfway House
Quando Rondo has been released from federal prison to a halfway house.
After serving 15 months of his 33-month sentence for drug conspiracy, the Georgia rapper has been released from the Edgefield Federal Correctional Institution in South Carolina and is currently listed as being in a halfway house in Atlanta, according to records obtained by XXL on Tuesday (June 2).

The move comes after Quando got five months shaved off his sentence in May.
Quando was originally arrested in December of 2023 and charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances such as fentanyl, cocaine and other narcotics. In August of 2024, he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute controlled substances (marijuana).

He was sentenced to 33 months in prison and began serving his time in January of 2025.
"I’m getting older and wiser, and I understand more now that you have to be close to God," Quando told XXL in October of 2024. "I got a sense of can’t keep going down the wrong road. It’s like, are you going to go down the wrong road until you’re 50? I need new results. I did the wrong thing. Let’s see what doing the right thing get me."

Quando is scheduled to be released from the halfway house on Nov. 11.

Sir Idris Elba Has Been Awarded a Knighthood

Iconic English actor, DJ, and rapper Sir Idris Elba was awarded his knighthood from King Charles at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, reports the BBC. Elba’s knighthood was previously announced at the end of 2025, as part of the 2026 New Year Honours.

The 53-year-old award-winning star, who rose to prominence for his stints as Stringer Bell in HBO’s The Wire and DCI John Luther in the BBC One series Luther, received the honours for services to young people. In 2022, Elba founded the Elba Hope Foundation.

It’s previously been announced that Elba is currently partnering with King Charles to create a Netflix documentary to mark 50 years since King Charles established the King’s Trust. At 18, Elba attended the National Youth Music Theatre using a grant from the charity, which was formerly known as the Prince’s Trust.

Prior to that, however, you’ll be able to catch Sir Idris Elba starring as Man-at-Arms in this month’s Masters of the Universe.

Dave Chappelle Honors Eddie Murphy at Netflix Tribute, Teases ‘Chappelle’s Show’ Movie
During Netflix’s AFI Life Achievement Award special honoring Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappelle reflected on both a recent conversation with the comedy icon and the lasting impact of Eddie’s late brother, Charlie Murphy.
Chappelle recalled a visit with Murphy, when the two discussed not only their shared history in sketch comedy but also the possibility of revisiting “Chappelle’s Show” in a film format, EW reports. According to Chappelle, Murphy even suggested the idea himself, saying, “Man, you should do a Chappelle’s Show movie or something like that.”

That exchange framed Chappelle’s appearance during the tribute, where he balanced memories of creative collaboration with more personal reflections tied to the Murphy family’s influence on his work.
“Chappelle’s Show was very difficult to do, but it was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and one of the reasons that it was great was your brother Charlie,” Chappelle said. “Charlie used to tell us stories all day about your ascension to fame, and I just want you to know, every time he mentioned you, he always said how proud he was of you. He said, ‘I love my brother.’”

Charlie Murphy died in 2017 at the age of 57 after a battle with leukemia. He became widely recognized for his appearances on “Chappelle’s Show,” which ran from 2003 to 2006. He was especially known for the “Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Stories” segments, including the infamous Prince basketball story, which became one of the show’s most iconic and defining moments.

During the tribute, Chappelle joked about a potential “Chappelle’s Show” movie, suggesting a way to incorporate Charlie’s legacy as well, saying, “So Eddie, if I do it, [you] do the Charlie parts, and let’s f—ing go.”
The AFI tribute special celebrating Eddie Murphy is now streaming on Netflix.

Samuel Monroe Jr.’s Family Faces Painful Decisions as His Health Battle Worsens

Samuel Monroe Jr., the actor known for his work in Menace II Society and other 1990s films, remains hospitalized in Los Angeles as his family faces a difficult medical update.
His wife, Shawna Stewart, told TMZ that Monroe is still on life support and that a recent CT scan showed he is suffering from encephalopathy. Stewart said his brain tissue is deteriorating after a series of severe health complications.

Stewart also said she is Monroe’s power of attorney and has to consider his quality of life. She made clear that no decision has been made about what comes next.
Stewart told TMZ that Monroe’s immune system is so weak that he is being treated in a negative pressure room. She said he is currently on six antibiotics as doctors continue treating the infections and complications that have kept him critically ill.

The update comes with small signs that have been difficult for the family to read. Stewart said Monroe has opened his eyes a few times recently, though she believes the movements may have been reflexes connected to pain when he is moved.
She described her husband as a fighter and said she is still praying for his recovery.

Monroe’s current hospitalization follows a long battle with meningitis.
In April, People reported that Stewart said Monroe contracted meningitis roughly 18 months earlier while working in Las Vegas. She said the illness went untreated for months after repeated misdiagnoses.
Stewart said at the time that by the point doctors properly diagnosed him, the infection had spread to his brain and spine.

TMZ later reported that Monroe’s condition worsened further after doctors diagnosed him with MRSA pneumonia in addition to meningitis. The outlet also reported that he had needed blood transfusions and dialysis during the health crisis.

The Family Has Asked for Financial Help
Monroe’s family launched a GoFundMe in late April to help cover medical costs and support his children during the crisis.
The fundraiser said the financial strain had been heavy after months of hospitalizations, rehabilitation centers, and continuing care needs. The Los Angeles Times reported that the fundraiser said Monroe could require around-the-clock care if he regains consciousness and is removed from life support.

The family has also said it hopes to move him into more specialized care or arrange in-home medical support if his condition improves enough for that step.
Monroe is best known to many viewers for playing Ilena’s cousin in the 1993 film Menace II Society.
He also appeared in Tales from the Hood, Set It Off, Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, and The Players Club.

His television credits include Out All Night, NYPD Blue, Southland, and Black Jesus. For fans of 1990s Black cinema, his name is tied to a run of films that became lasting references in American pop culture.
The new report does not describe a final medical decision.
Stewart told TMZ she is weighing Monroe’s quality of life while still praying for his recovery. The same update said Monroe remains on life support as doctors continue treating the infections and complications affecting him.

For now, the current status is narrow and serious: Monroe remains hospitalized in Los Angeles, his wife says a recent CT scan showed encephalopathy, and his family has not made a final decision about what comes next.

Milli Vanilli’s Fab Morvan latest artist to drop out of U.S. anniversary concerts
Fabrice (Fab) Morvan of Milli Vanilli fame has become the latest artist to back out of the 250th-anniversary concerts in Washington, D.C.
Morvan seemed to be all in for the summer concerts as recently as Friday. He reversed his stance on CNN on Monday night, referring to the past week as a "circus."

“This is not what I signed up for,” Morvan told the network.
Vanilla Ice and Flo Rida remain the only acts of the nine originally scheduled to perform at the Freedom 250 anniversary events organized by the Trump administration.

The Ice Ice Baby rapper recently made it clear he has no qualms about performing at the event, telling CBS News in an interview posted Monday that, "There's nothing to it. It's the birthday of America ... it's not anything to do with politics."
Vanilla Ice, born Robert Van Winkle, reportedly added he'd "go play for anybody," including Russian President Vladimir "Putin. Whoever you want — I'd go to Iran. Don't matter."

Poison frontman Bret Michaels, American country singer Martina McBride, rapper Young MC, Morris Day and the Time, and the Commodores also have bailed, over concerns of the partisan tone of the event. The concerts have been scheduled for June 25 through July ‌10 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

C+C Music Factory’s appearance remains uncertain after lead rapper Freedom Williams said in a video, which he admitted he recorded while sitting on the toilet, that he was blindsided by texts from people calling him out for doing the “Trump Freedom show."
Morvan told CNN that after learning Young MC had pulled out, “I was like, ‘Well, that’s weird … what does he know that I don’t know?’ I was a little worried there. And then, one after the next, people started to leave, but I was told by my team who was told by another team, ‘There’s nothing, there’s no political entanglement, there’s no political alignment.'

"I was there to unite the people, to bring people together, to have them walk down memory lane, celebrate life … But throughout the week, it turned into a circus … this is not what I stand for.
"I’m not into politics, so you hear it first here: I’m not attending the June 26th celebration.”
Trump may cancel 250th U.S. anniversary concerts after artists drop out, give speech instead

Morvan, who's originally from France, and Rob Pilatus, a German performer who died in 1998, were a late 1980s phenomenon as Milli Vanilli, founded by German producer Frank Farian. The pair topped the charts with songs including Girl You Know It's True, Blame It on the Rain and I'm Gonna Miss You, and sold out concerts that featured their elaborate dance routines.

However, they were later embroiled in a scandal when it was learned they didn't sing their own songs, and their 1990 Grammy Award as best new artist was revoked. Morvan and Pilatus later spoke out about the controversy, saying Farian refused to let them perform using their own voices. The 2023 biopic Girl You Know It's True, which involved Morvan and Pilatus's sister Carmen Pilatus, chronicles their rise to fame and fall.

'I'm here to entertain and unite the people'
Today, Morvan is lead singer in a new iteration of Milli Vanilli. Last Thursday, other members told The Associated Press that they wouldn't be performing as was previously announced.
“My sister and I were shocked to see our name, Milli Vanilli, as one of the performers,” band member Jodie Rocco wrote in an email.

At the time, Morvan released a statement saying he would be performing at the Great American State Fair.
“I’m here to entertain and unite the people, not divide them,” he said Thursday. “Let’s celebrate life and music, and take a trip down memory lane."
On its website, Freedom 250 says the event is about “celebrating the triumph of the American spirit.” But other events and commemorations surrounding the U.S.'s birthday have attracted criticism for glorifying U.S. President Donald Trump. They include efforts to put Trump’s face on commemorative coins, his signature on bills and his face on a special passport.

Karamo Brown Reveals What Really Went Down & ‘Broke’ The Fab Five After Skipping Out On Press For “Queer Eye” Final Season

Karamo Brown is finally speaking out. Months ago, Karamo shocked fans when he announced at the last minute that he would not be joining his #QueerEye costars — Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, and Jeremiah Brent — for press to promote the show’s tenth and final season. Now, in a new interview with PEOPLE, he’s addressing the years of alleged behind-the-scenes tension within the Fab Five. Karamo claims the toxicity he experienced was made worse by bullying and unchecked bad behavior from executives and production staff. “Everyone would just say, ‘Well, that’s just that person,’ instead of saying, ‘This behavior does not fly in a professional environment,’” he said.

The breaking point came when his mother visited the set and overheard costars speaking negatively about him. “The thing I know is the tears I saw in my mother’s eyes,” he recalled. “[She kept repeating], ‘I thought they were your friends.’” Karamo traces the group’s fracture to the show’s earliest days, when a s3xual harassment complaint was filed against him just weeks into filming.

He maintains he was cleared and that an anonymous third party was responsible — but the damage was already done. “It broke us,” he said. “We all knew the divide between us.” He also revealed he relapsed during the third season after 12 years of sobriety. Now in a better headspace, Karamo recently launched a wellness app and is hopeful the #FabFive can find their way to forgiveness. “I think we all deserve a bit of grace for how we handled ourselves and one another. We were just doing our best.”

Family of Black teen chased and shot in the back by store owner vows civil lawsuit after shocking not-guilty verdict
A South Carolina jury acquitted store owner Chikei Rick Chow of murder in the 2023 shooting death of 14-year-old Cyrus Carmack-Belton.
During the trial, prosecutors and defense attorneys presented conflicting accounts about whether the teen posed a threat during the encounter.
After the verdict, Carmack-Belton’s family confirmed they intend to file a civil lawsuit seeking accountability.

A South Carolina jury found convenience store owner Chikei Rick Chow not guilty of murder on Monday (June 1) in the 2023 killing of 14-year-old Cyrus Carmack-Belton. The Black teen was shot in the back after being chased from Chow’s Columbia-area store.
Chow, 61, was accused of killing Carmack-Belton after allegedly suspecting him of stealing four bottles of water. Prosecutors argued during trial that the teen was running away and did not pose a threat when Chow fired. According to the Associated Press, prosecutor Byron E. Gipson told jurors that Chow “chased a kid down, shot him in the back.”

The defense maintained that Chow acted to protect his son, Andy Chow. Defense attorney Shaun Kent told jurors the case was “not about a shoplifter,” but about “a father who sees a gun pointed at his son and had to make a decision.” Prosecutors acknowledged that Carmack-Belton had a semiautomatic pistol, but said it fell during the chase and that witnesses did not see the teen point a weapon while running from the store.

The trial centered on two conflicting accounts of the chase. Prosecutors said Chow followed Carmack-Belton more than 130 yards from the convenience store before firing. The defense argued that the shooting happened only after Andy testified that Carmack-Belton pointed a gun at him.
After the verdict was read, Carmack-Belton’s family could be heard crying in the courtroom. Chow reportedly sat silently before bowing his head onto his hands. Defense lawyer Jack Swerling said they were “very pleased” with the outcome, while adding, “My heart goes out to them.”

Cyrus Carmack-Belton's family plans to continue fight for justice with civil lawsuit
Outside court, attorney and South Carolina state Rep. Todd Rutherford stood beside Carmack-Belton’s father and said the family does not agree with the jury’s decision. “This makes us feel as if our children don’t matter, and they do,” Rutherford told reporters. “This makes us feel like Cyrus’ life didn’t matter, and it did.”

Rutherford also said the family plans to pursue a civil lawsuit. “I’ve been practicing law for almost 30 years. I’ve never seen anything like this. I don’t understand it,” he said.
Carmack-Belton’s death prompted protests and vigils in Richland County in 2023. At one vigil, empty water bottles spelled out “Cyrus” outside the store.

Scott Pelley fired from CBS News after tense ‘60 Minutes’ meeting

In a Tuesday note to staff obtained by MS NOW, new executive producer Nick Bilton announced the network “parted ways” with the longtime correspondent.
Veteran “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley has been fired from CBS News a day after he excoriated the show’s new executive producer and editor-in-chief Bari Weiss in a staff meeting.

The venerated show’s newly named executive producer, Nick Bilton, announced the network “parted ways” with Pelley in a Tuesday note to staff obtained by MS NOW.
“I know how much Scott meant to many of you, and I don’t say this lightly,” Bilton wrote. “I made repeated attempts to have direct conversations with him over the weekend, and this afternoon I tried to find common ground. That was not the path Scott chose.”

Pelley’s firing deepens a seismic shift for the network, which has seen an exodus of journalists since David Ellison, CEO of Paramount Skydance, appointed Weiss as editor-in-chief last year. Last week, correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi’s contract expired after she criticized Weiss for pulling her segment on torture in Salvadoran prisons from the air. (Weiss maintained that the story was not ready. A revised version aired a month later.)

Pelley has worked for the show since 2004 and has won more than 50 Emmy Awards, according to his bio on the network’s website, which also notes he won half of all major awards earned by “60 Minutes” during his tenure.
In a staff meeting Monday, Pelley told Bilton — a journalist and filmmaker who has no prior experience in broadcast television — he had “slender” qualifications for the job, and that Weiss was “murdering” “60 Minutes,” according to The New York Times, which obtained a recording of the meeting.

“She does not love this place,” Pelley reportedly said of Weiss, according to the Times. “She was brought in to kill it, and she’s been doing exactly that.”
The news of Pelley’s firing was first reported by journalist Oliver Darcy, author of the newsletter Status.
In the termination letter Bilton sent Pelley, which was also obtained by MS NOW, the new executive producer said the veteran correspondent “hijacked my first meeting with staff to disparage me, my qualifications, and my intentions with remarkable incivility and contempt.”

“Yesterday’s performative display of hostility — enacted in front of the staff instead of in a civil, private conversation — demonstrated that you have no interest in contributing to the future success of the show, or approaching my new tenure with a mind open to collaboration and progress,” Bilton wrote.
In a phone interview with the Times after news of his firing broke, Pelley said he devoted decades of his life to the network.

“I have been in combat in Afghanistan. I have been in combat in Iraq. I have been in the war zone in Ukraine multiple times, risking my life and the happiness of my family because of my devotion to the broadcast,” he told the newspaper.

Karen Bass advances to November runoff in L.A. mayoral race
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass will advance to the November runoff after taking a strong lead in Tuesday’s primary election, the Associated Press has declared. With 51% of the ballots counted, Bass leads with 36% of the vote, ahead of reality TV star Spencer Pratt at 29% and City Councilwoman Nithya Raman at 21%. Pratt and Raman continue to battle for second place.

KAREN BASS
    172,720    34.78%

SPENCER PRATT
    151,149    30.44%

NITHYA RAMAN
    110,848    22.32%

Bass addressed her supporters Tuesday night saying, “In a couple of hours, we will declare victory!” Bass went on to thank her supporters for her sizable lead in the polls.
“We are going to continue moving our city forward because this is the greatest city in the world and I just want to tell you from the bottom of my heart, I love you, I appreciate you for believing in me and standing with me when others doubted me because you know who I am,” Bass said. “I have devoted my entire life to serving the city that I love, where I was born and I will continue to do that all the way to victory in November.”

Bass has faced criticism for her handling of the January 2025 Palisades Fire, which broke out while she was on a diplomatic trip to Ghana. She rushed back to Los Angeles as the wildfire tore through Pacific Palisades and Malibu, ultimately destroying more than 15,000 structures and killing 12 people. Pratt lost his home in the fire.
Pratt was hopeful when he spoke with reporters Tuesday night as he remained in second place with about half the votes counted.

“I’m going to prove to everybody that this is for real,” Pratt said.
He went on to criticize Bass’ performance as mayor, adding that he would be willing to debate her multiple times in the coming months.

“Mayor Bass has allowed the city to become covered in potholes,” Pratt said. “Then there’s the moms who want to be able to go to the parks and not see anybody shooting up fentanyl with their pants off.”

Dame Dash Says Jay-Z’s Breath Used to Smell Like “Cinnamon Doo-Doo”

Jay-Z spent his Roots Picnic set firing shots, and Dame Dash was always going to be the one to fire back the loudest. On The Art of Dialogue, Dame heard the freestyle, clocked the lines aimed at him, and decided the best response was not another verse but a full roast of how Jay looked and, somehow, how his breath used to smell.

He opened on the hair. Jay showed up to Belmont Plateau with a big afro after years of freeform locs, and Dame could not let it go. He said the style was so distracting he could barely hear the lyrics, then started questioning whether any of it was even real. He wanted to know who talked Jay into the look and how they got the hair to sit like that, joking that nobody bothered to film the before and after the way they should have.

Here is where the bit falls apart. Beyoncé’s Cecred brand has already posted about Jay’s afro as his actual hair, so the wig theory was dead on arrival. Dame kept swinging anyway, eventually landing on a new nickname for his old partner. He started calling him “Dookie Wick,” a shot at the texture of the new hair, and floated a slogan to go with it, telling everybody it was time to “make him great again.”

Then he reached all the way back for the pettiest jab of the day. Dame claimed Jay’s breath used to stink and that he would chew Big Red to cover it, which Dame summed up as “cinnamon doo-doo.” It is the kind of insult that has nothing to do with the music and everything to do with two men who have been circling each other for twenty years.

That is really the backdrop for all of it. Dame and Jay built Roc-A-Fella side by side, then split into two very different lives. Dame has been open about his money problems in recent years, while Jay sits at the top of the culture, and that contrast hangs over every word. The Roots Picnic freestyle just gave Dame a reason to pick the conversation back up, and he took it as far as a Big Red joke would let him.

Robin Quivers Announces She’s Cancer-Free in Powerful On-Air ‘The Howard Stern Show’ Moment
Robin Quivers shared some life-changing news with listeners of The Howard Stern Show this week!
During a live episode of SiriusXM’s long-running radio show, the co-host revealed that she is officially cancer-free, more than a decade after first being diagnosed.

Howard Stern introduced the emotional moment by telling listeners he had some of the best news he had ever heard.
“Robin, it gives me a chill to even say it, but this is honestly the best news ever. Go ahead,” Howard said.
Robin then got the chance to give the news herself, saying, “I’m cancer free.”

Howard reflected on Robin‘s health journey and praised the strength she showed after being diagnosed 14 years ago.
“What do you think of that? 14 years ago, when Robin was diagnosed, she took charge of her health. She started to do all the right things. She never deviated. And I’m telling you, Robin, on behalf of this show, and you know, of course, to me, you’re the most important. And I love you. And I am so happy for you. And I don’t even know what you must be feeling inside.”

Robin responded, “I feel like a brand-new person.” Robin compared the news to winning the lottery
Howard then went on to ask what it was like for Robin to receive official confirmation that she was cancer-free after so many years.
“When you read the piece of paper that said cancer-free, you probably were like checking it nine times to make sure you were reading it right,” he assumed.

Robin agreed with him, comparing the experience to winning the lottery.
“I was like a person who’s won the lottery and can’t believe their eyes when they’re seeing all the numbers. Is this what I think it says?”
“Unbelievable miracle. God bless you,” the disc jockey said. “Congratulations. I can’t be happier.”

Congratulations to Robin on the incredible good news!
