#RHOA: Shamea Morton addresses viral ‘RHOA’ dinner and admits she crossed a line with Porsha Williams
The 'RHOA' castmates' bitter feud has become one of the long-standing storylines of the 17th season of the long-running Bravo series.
The back-and-forth between Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams throughout the current season of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" reached a breaking point.
During the July 13 episode of "RHOA," the cast went on a trip to Scotland, where Morton and Williams, former best friends, took their dispute to a new level. At one point, Morton and Williams exchanged deeply personal accusations, including their mothers. Morton accused Williams' mother of allegedly pursuing her father. Williams countered by accusing Morton's mother of having an affair with her husband's brother.
The incident got so heated that Morton apologized to the other women, telling them that their trip was not the place for her and Williams to air their grievances.
On Sunday's episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," Morton admitted her fault in the argument.
"The timing wasn't good. I definitely shouldn't have brought it up at the dinner," she told Cohen. "It just came out. I was so fed up. It was festering for so long."
She added, "The dinner was not the appropriate time to do it. That's why I apologized to the ladies for the timing of it all and for making them feel uncomfortable."
The argument caused ramifications back home for Morton, who said her mother was "rightfully" hurt by the comments.
"That I apologize for," Morton said. "Because they shouldn't have been involved in it anyway. And this wasn't something that happened that night; my mom was brought up last year. I thought we were moving on from it."
Morton, who was a recurring cast member on the show for several years, joined as a full-time member of the Housewives this season. When asked three things she missed about her friendship with Williams, she didn't hesitate to tell Cohen her thoughts.
"We cut up real bad when we acting silly and outside," she began. "The relationship with her daughter and her sister and … just the ability to be able to text if I'm going through something or need some advice or need a laugh."

Adding more to his statement, Ye issued: “We need to not be locked in white systems. Praying for Puff and his family.”
Going back further, in a 2022 cover story with Esquire, Cudi said it would take a “miracle” for them to be friends again. Cudi and Ye’s relationship has been on the rocks since Ye called out his former friend for being friends with Pete Davidson. Davidson, who Ye also waged an online war with, is the former boyfriend of Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian. In the disagreement, Ye removed Cudi’s contributions from his DONDA 2 album.
The beef would reach a new level once Ye pulled out of Rolling Loud. Cudi was booked to replace him, and Ye showed up anyway on a different stage. Fans at the festival would also launch items at Cudi on stage.
Cudi revealed the issues between the two reach back a while, acknowledging Kanye would not lend his talents to his albums. “I’ve been on every one of that man’s albums. He’s only been on two of mine. That should tell you something,” Cudi said. “And don’t think I didn’t ask.”
Cudi would reveal the toll that the bullying by Ye on social media took on him, adding the rapper’s fans would send messages and flood his comments.

Hundreds gather for Nolan Wells’ funeral in Mississippi
Nolan Wells, the Mississippi teenager whose death after a Fourth of July boating trip with friends has spurred national attention, was remembered Monday as a “gentle, calming spirit” during a funeral that attracted hundreds.
“I want to give all thanks and honor and glory to God for choosing Elmore and me to be Nolan’s parents,” Wells’ mother, Christine Wells-Wonsley, said at the funeral at Center Pointe Church. “We thank you, Lord, for the beautiful 18 years that you blessed us with him.”
Hours before the funeral service in Ocean Springs, which began just after noon local time, people were seen waiting in line, including nearly all of Wells’ high school football teammates. Many of the mourners were seen dressed in black and blue — the colors of Wells’ high school team — per the family’s request.
Ahead of the service, a slideshow of photos of Wells, his friends and his family was played alongside gospel music. The Rev. Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy, and the Wells family’s attorney, Ben Crump, issued a call for justice and asked those with information to come forward.
“Until we get to truth, until we get to justice, we gonna stand up and we gonna keep ringing the justice bells for Nolan Wells,” Crump said, before chanting “Justice for Nolan Wells!”

“Nolan had such a gentle, calming spirit about him. He had a way of making people feel seen, welcome and valued,” Wells-Wonsley said. “He could lift your confidence with just a few words and make you feel like you belonged.”
Wells-Wonsley called her son “protective and nurturing” and spoke about how he once told her he wanted three daughters.
“Your absence has left an emptiness that can never truly be filled,” she said, directly addressing Wells. “In a world that can often feel dark, be like Nolan, be the light that brightens the lives of those around you.”
Elmore Wonsley, Wells’ father, also spoke, noting how proud he was of his son, who, he called a model for his younger brothers.
“You grew up to be a very young man that everyone enjoyed to be around,” Wonsley said, also noting his son was often kind to his peers in school.

In his eulogy, Sharpton also called for unbiased answers and justice related to Wells’ death. He announced that he would offer a $50,000 reward to anyone who provides information leading to an arrest and conviction in Wells’ case.
Tyler Perry, who paid for the funeral, also said he would offer $50,000 for information, Sharpton said at the end of the service. Spike Lee and Terrell Owens also attended the Mississippi funeral.
Following the funeral, Crump spoke to media alongside Wells’ parents, again demanding answers.

A number of the current players “were brought up under [Wells’] wing,” Bramlett said. “He taught them how to act in the locker room, how to act in the weight room, how to perform on the football field, and that’s just who Nolan was.”

Wells’ parents said at a news conference last week that a “party” celebrating Wells will be held at the Jackson County Fairgrounds for friends, family members and Wells’ teammates following the funeral service.
“What we’re going to do is kind of have a party to celebrate him,” Wells-Wonsley said of her son Wednesday. “We want to celebrate him, and he would not want us to be sitting around crying and eating.”
The service comes weeks after Wells and a group of friends went to Horn Island, off the coast of Mississippi, to celebrate July 4. The friends returned to the mainland later that afternoon and told police Wells opted to stay behind, saying he would catch a ride back later with others.
When he didn’t return home that night, his mother reported him missing around midnight. A U.S. park ranger found Wells’ body on the northwest shore of Horn Island on July 6.
It remains unclear how Wells died. Officials have not yet released an autopsy report as the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death intensified.
Crump and Wells’ parents have said they are leading their own investigation into his death and performed an independent autopsy on Wells. Crump thanked Colin Kaepernick for paying for the independent autopsy at the news conference Wednesday.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s Widow Sues His Mother, Successor Trustee, for $1.2 Million in Prenup Dispute
Tenisha Warner, the widow of “The Cosby Show” star Malcolm-Jamal Warner, is suing the late actor’s mother for breach of contract involving the couple’s prenuptial agreement.
NBC News obtained a copy of the complaint, confirming Tenisha Warner filed the lawsuit on July 20 in the Superior Court of Dekalb County in Georgia. The complaint names mother-in-law Pamela Warner as one of the defendants as she is the successor trustee of the Warner Family Trust. Tenisha Warner alleges in the suit that she and Malcolm-Jamal Warner — who shared a 9-year-old daughter — married on May 23, 2022, and signed a premarital agreement eight days prior. The lawsuit says Malcolm-Jamal Warner did not fulfill the obligations in the prenup.
Tenisha Warner claims that her late husband “agreed to purchase and maintain a term life insurance policy on his life in the amount of $1,000,000,” with her as the “sole beneficiary.”
But she alleges that the deceased never purchased the life insurance policy for himself or one for her despite the agreement. The complaint also states that Malcom-Jamal Warner agreed to pay his wife $16,000 a year on their anniversary, create a retirement account and pay her a salary of $5,000 per month as his “chief of staff” but failed to do so.
The complaint claims that Tenisha Warner is owed “no less than $1,276,042.46,” plus interest and attorney’s fees and cost.
“Plaintiff performed all obligations required of her under the Agreement, including entering into and remaining in the marriage until the Decedent’s death,” the complaint reads. “The Decedent died without having satisfied his obligations under the Agreement, and no person or entity has paid or provided the sums due to Plaintiff under the Agreement.”
Pamela Warner has been the successor trustee of the Warner Family Trust since Oct. 7, 1996, the document states. The document also lists a “John Doe” as the second defendant because a personal representative has not been named for Malcom-Jamal Warner’s estate.
Additionally, according to the complaint, Tenisha Warner is requesting Pamela Warner, as successor trustee, be prevented from “distributing, transferring, encumbering, or dissipating” trust property.
“For the last year, I have attempted to privately settle my beloved husband’s complicated estate and honor his last wishes,” Tenisha Warner said in a statement to People. “Malcolm had every intention to provide for our 9-year-old daughter and me. He was close to finalizing a new estate plan to replace the stale plan created in 1996 when he was 26 years old, 20 years before we met and well before we gave birth to our beautiful daughter.”
Tenisha Warner added that her late husband was “unable to do so before we lost him.”
“I have been struggling to care for our daughter as a single mom and now as her sole provider,” she continued. “Legally, I had no choice but to take action to protect our rights before any potential statute of limitations expired. We thank you for your support, love and understanding as we work through this painful process while honoring Malcolm’s life on the first anniversary of his death.”
Reps for Tenisha Warner, Pamela Warner and Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s estate did not immediately return TODAY.com’s request for comment.
Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for playing Theo Huxtable as a child star at the start of his decades-long career, died exactly one year before the suit on July 20, 2025, from an accidental drowning in Costa Rica. He was 54.
A representative of Costa Rica’s Judicial Investigation Agency shared a report at the time that said Malcolm-Jamal Warner was swimming at Playa Grande de Cocles when he “apparently was dragged by a current offshore.”
He was rescued and taken to shore where the Costa Rican Red Cross tried to revive him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On the anniversary of his death, Pamela Warner penned a letter to her son that was uploaded to his “living legacy” Instagram page.
The message included childhood photos of the “Malcolm & Eddie” star and said, in part, “As I look back, I have no regrets. Perhaps a little more time. Perhaps one more chance to cook his favorite meals, have one last good conversation, one last good deep belly laugh, the kind that produces those tears of pure joy, one last kiss, one last hug.”
She added, “One of the graces in all of this is that we had had healing conversations a few weeks before. We did not know that these were really good-bye conversations. There was nothing left unsaid between us. There was nothing ‘left on the table.’ And I believe that this is why I have been able to be at peace with Malcolm’s transition. I knew beyond a doubt that he loved me and more importantly trusted me. And he knew that I would love him forever and a day.”
Pamela Warner also said that in the past year she has “discovered how cruel, evil and greedy a human can be.”

Additionally, according to the complaint, Tenisha Warner is requesting Pamela Warner, as successor trustee, be prevented from “distributing, transferring, encumbering, or dissipating” trust property.
“For the last year, I have attempted to privately settle my beloved husband’s complicated estate and honor his last wishes,” Tenisha Warner said in a statement to People. “Malcolm had every intention to provide for our 9-year-old daughter and me. He was close to finalizing a new estate plan to replace the stale plan created in 1996 when he was 26 years old, 20 years before we met and well before we gave birth to our beautiful daughter.”
Tenisha Warner added that her late husband was “unable to do so before we lost him.”
“I have been struggling to care for our daughter as a single mom and now as her sole provider,” she continued. “Legally, I had no choice but to take action to protect our rights before any potential statute of limitations expired. *Will Smith has unveiled a dramatic new look as he prepares to begin filming his upcoming action thriller, “Supermax.”
The actor revealed a completely shaved head in a new Instagram post, writing, “shaved head for my next movie,” while sharing photos from Monaco. He captioned the post, “GREAT days in Monaco with my @westbrookracinge1 & @e1series squad! ANGOLA up next.”
The transformation comes as Smith gears up to star in the action thriller “Supermax,” a project that recently landed a major distribution deal. MGM acquired worldwide rights to the film from Miramax for $70 million, with “Supermax” set to debut exclusively on Prime Video. No theatrical release is planned, and a premiere date has not been announced, according to Variety.
The twist-filled thriller follows two FBI agents investigating a murder inside the world’s most secure prison. Smith will play the lead character, Rex, while David Gordon Green (“Halloween”) is attached to direct. Production is expected to begin in mid-August.
Smith’s production company, Westbrook, also celebrated the project on Instagram.
“Huge announcement today. We are thrilled to be teaming up with director David Gordon Green and our partners at Amazon MGM Studios, Miramax, and The Picture Company to bring this incredible film to life,” the company wrote.
“Supermax” marks Smith’s first original film since the 2022 Academy Awards, where he walked onstage and slapped comedian Chris Rock after Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Smith later apologized publicly for the incident, but the fallout led to a 10-year ban from attending Academy Awards ceremonies. The moment overshadowed what would have been a career milestone, as Smith won his first Oscar later that night for his performance in “King Richard.”

Judge Araceli Martinez-Olguin granted a 14-day restraining order Monday, preventing the companies from completing the transaction during the opening stage of a multistate antitrust fight, Variety reports. The pause may be extended to 28 days.
California is leading the 12-state coalition challenging the agreement. The states want the court to impose a preliminary injunction that would keep the companies apart until their lawsuit is decided.
Their case focuses on the combined company’s potential influence over two areas of the entertainment business. The merger would unite two of the three largest cable programmers and two of the five biggest theatrical distributors, according to the complaint.
State officials argue that reduced competition could eventually result in higher costs, fewer releases and limited options for audiences and creators.
Martinez-Olguin determined that the challengers had presented serious unresolved questions. She also found little immediate risk in requiring Paramount and Warner Bros. to continue competing independently while the case advances.
A hearing on the states’ request for a preliminary injunction is scheduled for Aug. 3, although the parties could agree to move that date.
California Attorney General Rob Bonta celebrated the temporary order as a “critical first win in our case to ensure this megamerger never sees the light of day.”
“History tells the tale of what happens when a few people have great power over markets that are central to Americans’ lives: fewer opportunities for more people, worse products and services for all people,” Bonta said.
Paramount maintains that combining with Warner Bros. would create a more formidable streaming rival to Netflix and Amazon. Martinez-Olguin, however, said potential gains in streaming cannot be used to excuse possible harm in separate markets.
Paramount wants a ruling by early September, while a delay beyond Sept. 30 could trigger daily payments worth millions of dollars to Warner Bros. investors.
