#MAGFAB: Rising Model Natalia Montero for Harpers Bazaar Colombia!

Harper’s Bazaar Colombia [IG] makes its fashion magazine debut to major applause for their cover model Natalia Montero and her story in this first issue. Watching Montero’s videos on IG, she moves like a ‘60s-’70s model — which bares almost no relationship with today’s models, who seem to just stand there, more often than not.

Nice!

#RHOA: NeNe Leakes Son Bryson Poses For New Mug Shot
According to jail records obtained by TMZ, Bryson checked into the Gwinnett County Jail in Georgia on July 24 related to a contempt of court charge.
Bryson has a lengthy history of legal trouble. As we first reported, he was arrested May 1 for allegedly failing to pay court-ordered child support, violating probation, and failing to appear.

The probation violation stemmed from a previous case in which cops said Bryson was found with fentanyl. Police say he gave officers his younger brother Brentt Leakes' name while being questioned.

The drug charge was later dismissed as part of a plea deal, but Bryson was sentenced to 12 months' probation for giving officers a false name. He was also ordered to complete 40 hours of community service, submit to random drug testing, undergo a substance abuse evaluation, and pay a $500 fine.

His bond in the May arrest was set at approximately $27K, and he was eventually released.
But now it looks like Bryson is back in custody.

Perez Hilton's family speaks out after he appears to harm himself on livestream

The family of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton issued a statement after he was transported to a Miami area hospital, where he was said to be receiving medical attention after appearing to harm himself on a TikTok livestream video.
Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton's family and team are speaking out after Hilton was hospitalized following a TikTok livestream on Tuesday, during which he appeared to self-harm.

In a message posted to Hilton's website, the blogger's team and family thanked his followers for their support in wake of the shocking incident.
"We can confirm that Perez is receiving medical care, and our family's focus right now is on his well-being," the message read. "We kindly ask that you respect Perez's privacy, as well as the privacy of his family, during this difficult time."

Hilton was transported to a Miami area hospital this week, where he was said to be receiving medical attention after appearing to harm himself on the TikTok livestream, law enforcement officials said in a statement Wednesday.
The statement, which did not mention Hilton by name, came after law enforcement in Miami responded to Hilton's home on Tuesday after receiving multiple calls claiming Hilton was "livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media," according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.

"The individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention," the sheriff's office said Wednesday. "The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Crisis Response Unit and Licensed Mental Health Professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual's family."
Hilton's TikTok livestream on Tuesday allegedly appeared to show him harming himself with a knife, with a bloody torso and face.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said in a previous statement Tuesday that deputies spoke with his family members on scene and "tactically disengaged while continuing to monitor the situation."
"In many incidents involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis or actively harming themselves, deputies prioritize de-escalation by creating time, distance, and opportunities for communication," the sheriff's office said, adding this tactic can "reduce the likelihood of a suicide-by-cop encounter and minimize the risk of injury to the individual, deputies, and the public."

Hilton's representatives, Golden Artists Entertainment, released a statement Tuesday night, saying they were "aware of the concerning content circulating online involving our client."
"At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him. Our primary concern is Perez's health and well being, as well as the well being of his family," the statement added.
ABC News has reached out to TikTok for a comment.

Diddy Reportedly Spent Up To $8 Million Fighting Federal Criminal Case
Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly spent millions of dollars defending himself against federal criminal charges.
According to TMZ, the Bad Boy Records founder paid an estimated $7 million to $8 million in legal fees throughout his nearly two-year federal criminal case. Sources told the outlet the money covered a team of high-profile attorneys, including Marc Agnifilo, Teny Geragos, Brian Steel, Nicole Westmoreland, and others, dating back to Diddy’s September 2024 arrest.

Diddy was federally charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Following an eight-week trial in 2025, a jury acquitted him of the racketeering and sex trafficking charges but convicted him on two counts of violating the Mann Act for transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. He was later sentenced to 50 months in federal prison.

While the reported legal bill is substantial, TMZ notes the music mogul was facing the possibility of a life sentence if convicted on the most serious charges, making the outcome a significant legal victory for his defense team despite the convictions that remain. Diddy is currently serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

Keke Palmer Set To Host “The Voice: Celebrity” As Carson Daly Steps Back
Go KeKe! The multi-hyphenate star is adding another major gig to her growing résumé — she’s set to host season 31 of “#TheVoice.” On Tuesday, Aug. 4, NBC announced the upcoming season, titled “The Voice: Celebrity,” will bring a fresh twist to the singing competition, with famous faces from all walks of entertainment — including actors, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality stars — stepping into the spotlight to showcase their vocal talents.
After the announcement, many fans assumed #CarsonDaly, who has hosted the series since its debut season and will continue serving as a producer, was officially stepping away from the hosting role. But Carson quickly cleared up the confusion, explaining that he simply wasn’t the right fit to host the star-studded extension while remaining on board for the traditional version of the show.

Carson continued, “Many today have asked if I’m leaving the show. Nope. We’re gonna try out these 2 formats this fall/spring & see how it goes! Hopefully this post clears up any confusion.” He also reminded fans that he isn’t going anywhere, noting he has hosted and produced every episode of “The Voice” since day one — a 30-season, 16-year run.

Whitney Houston’s Estate Is Auctioning Off Her Iconic Gowns and Awards
Whitney Houston’s estate is teaming with Julien’s Auctions on August 11 to sell iconic pieces from her archives, with 100% of proceeds going to the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation.

Items include her 1988 American Music Awards mini dress, a red Versace leather look from the 1999 VH1 Divas concert, tour-worn Burberry and Dolce & Gabbana pieces, an MCM luggage set, a Bob Mackie jacket, a Richard Avedon portrait, and her 9x Platinum “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” award.

Framed as a celebration of Houston’s life and impact, the auction follows renewed media chatter about her personal struggles and will be previewed at the Legacy of Love Gala on August 8, which would have been her 63rd birthday.

Whitney Houston's legacy is headed back to center stage—this time, on the auction block.
The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation is partnering with Julien’s Auctions for a new sale on August 11, giving fans the chance to bid on some of the most recognizable pieces from her career. From designer gowns and stage-worn outfits to platinum awards and personal keepsakes, every item comes straight from Houston's archives, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation.

The collection spans some of the biggest moments of Houston's career. Among the standout lots are the mini dress she wore at the 1988 American Music Awards, the red Versace leather outfit from the 1999 VH1 Divas concert, a Burberry coat from her Nothing But Love World Tour, and a Dolce & Gabbana gown worn during fittings for her My Love Is Your Love World Tour.

Also up for grabs are an MCM three-piece luggage set, a Bob Mackie embellished jacket, a Richard Avedon portrait that once hung in Houston's office, and her RIAA-certified 9x Platinum award for "I Wanna Dance with Somebody."
"This auction is a powerful celebration of Whitney's extraordinary life, artistry, and lasting impact," Julien's Auctions co-founder and executive director Martin Nolan said in a statement. "Each lot tells a story—from iconic stage-worn wardrobe and treasured personal accessories."

He added that the sale is about more than memorabilia, noting that "100% of the proceeds" will directly support scholarships, community initiatives, and other programs through the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation.
Pat Houston, president of the foundation and executor of Whitney Houston's estate, said this year's event builds on a successful partnership with Julien's Auctions.
"This is our second year with Julien's Auctions and their global reach has been fantastic," she said. "This year, we have some super great one-of-a-kind memorabilia from Whitney's archives, and we are excited about the auction."

The sale arrives after several weeks in which Houston's name returned to the headlines for reasons unrelated to her music. Oprah Winfrey recently shared a story about Houston falling during an appearance tied to The Oprah Winfrey Show, prompting the estate to dispute Winfrey's account and state that the singer "was absolutely not high."
Rosie O'Donnell also reflected on Houston's struggles during a television appearance, saying she believed members of the singer's inner circle enabled behavior that ultimately contributed to her decline.

Ahead of the August 11 auction, select highlights will be displayed at the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation's fifth annual Legacy of Love Gala on August 8, one day before what would have been Houston’s 63rd birthday.

Whoopi Goldberg Tells Keke Palmer Her ‘The View’ Paycheck Is Quite Something: ‘You Would Be Shocked'

Whoopi Goldberg is not shy about why she shows up to The View every weekday morning.
Appearing on Keke Palmer's Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast on Tuesday, Goldberg was asked what her favorite part of the long-running daytime show is. Her answer was immediate: "The check. I love the check."

When Palmer replied that she "can only imagine" the size of that paycheck, Goldberg pushed back fast. "No, no, you can't. Trust me. You can't. You would be shocked. As soon as they showed you that check, you'd be like, 'What the!?'" she said, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Palmer, who called the salary situation "incredible," got one more word from Goldberg on the subject: "It is what it is."

Journalist Yashar Ali put a number to the tease shortly after the episode dropped, reporting on X that three people familiar with Goldberg's contract told him she earns $6 million a year on the show. Ali added some context alongside the figure: "She's talking about it as if she's making Oprah money. Whoopi made much, much, much more from films like The Lion King, which came out 32 years ago and required very little work compared with The View."

Goldberg herself seemed to temper expectations on the same podcast appearance, noting that celebrity paychecks are rarely what headlines suggest. "The truth of the matter is, very few of us are actually making the kind of money you're reading about," she said. "If I had that kind of money, and I love my job, I don't know that I'd still be doing the show. But a girl's gotta eat, and I never married well, so I still have to support myself."

She also made clear that The View gig is not the richest contract she has ever signed, and that her EGOT status does not keep the lights on. "What flashes in my mind is, 'Is this going to help me pay my rent? Is this going to pay my mortgage?' Every accolade I've received, I'm grateful for, but it doesn't always translate into work," per TV Insider.

Goldberg traced her nearly two decades on the show back to a call from Barbara Walters in 2007. "She said, 'We just lost one of the people on the show, would you consider coming over?' And I'd been doing a radio show, and I said, 'Absolutely, yeah!' She brought me over, and it's like I've been crazy-glued to that chair!" she said.
The timing of the podcast lands during The View's summer hiatus following the Season 29 finale, with Season 30 set to return in September. Page Six reported in July that Goldberg took a pay cut ahead of Season 29, though she remains the highest-paid host on the panel.

A$AP Rocky Says Rihanna Is ‘Cooking’ In the Studio, Reveals If They Would Ever Collaborate
A$AP Rocky is giving a major new update on new Rihanna music!
The 37-year-old rapper addressed being the reason why his 38-year-old partner hasn’t released new music, and confirmed she’s actively been in the studio.

While appearing on The Jason Lee Show, which debuted on Wednesday (August 5), host Jason Lee asked if he was the reason why she hasn’t released a new album. It’s been over 10 years since her last LP, Anti, came out.
“She in the studio right now. Yeah, I said it. Sorry, babe. Bro, she work. She cooking, bro. No funny sh-t,” A$AP said. “Damn, I’mma get in trouble for this.”

Jason then asked if they would ever collaborate, for example, on a joint album where they’re both on every song.
“Nope. I would hate Rocky and Rihanna if they both did that. That’s trash,” he responded. “Nobody want to hear us together, bro. I make subversive weird ass indie rap. Like, I got a cult following, bro. I’m not your typical… I’m a handsome mainstream appeal and success. That’s the only thing, the reason why, the music that I make is for a niche demographic of people who actually get this sh-t.”

“So, if… you remember the outfit you had on when you was six. I make music for that. I make music for pretty boys. I make music for people that is misunderstood,” he continued. “I told you like, bro, Tyler the Creator, like that’s that’s my brother.”
When Jason said they can just figure it out, A$AP said they’ll make a joint album just for him, but he’s not allowed to leak it.
Earlier this year, Rihanna teased new music by sharing a video from inside the studio, timestamped at 3:30 am.

The last song she released was “Friend of Mine” from the Smurfs soundtrack in 2025, and before that was “Lift Me Up” in 2022 for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

Martin Lawrence return as Martin in first look at “Martin” spinoff

You can't have a Martin spinoff without Martin! Paramount+ has released a first look at The Varnell Hill Show, featuring Tommy Davidson as his memorable Martin character, Varnell Hill. And in a guest capacity, Martin Lawrence is reprising his role from his star-making '90s sitcom.

Produced by Lawrence, The Varnell Hill Show is set behind the scenes of Varnell's long-running late-night talk show as he fights to stay relevant in an ever-changing entertainment landscape. Among the obstacles in Varnell's way are executives looking to modernize the show, a chaotic group of writers, celebrity guests, and his own outsize ego.

An original In Living Color cast member, Davidson appeared in a two-episode season 2 arc on Martin in 1993, introducing Varnell as a Los Angeles-based rival for Lawrence's Martin Payne. Varnell was previously a DJ at the same station as Martin in Detroit, and Varnell's success led Martin to briefly chase his own Hollywood dreams.

In addition to Davidson, The Varnell Hill Show stars Kym Whitley, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Nick Cafero, Emmanuel Hudson, and Chris Williams. Special guest stars include Ms. Pat, Deon Cole, Omarion, Mike Epps, and Damon Wayans.
Thanks to Lawrence's crowd-pleasing array of characters, the relatable relationship between Martin and Gina (Tisha Campbell-Martin), and the never-ending string of insults hurled back and forth by Martin and Pam (Tichina Arnold), Martin became a hit and an important part of Fox's attempts to rival NBC's "Must See TV" Thursdays in the early '90s.

"You felt the energy, realness, and fun," Lawrence previously told EW of why viewers responded so positively. "The audience didn't just laugh, but it's how they laughed. They weren't only laughing, they were stomping and roaring. Just to feel all of that energy we were getting was beautiful."

In recent years, the cast has reunited at the Emmys and for a BET anniversary special. Years before the impending premiere of The Varnell Hill Show, Lawrence threw water on the idea of a Martin revival, despite believing his "legendary" series "would still hold its own" today.

TikToker Tags Mayor Mamdani Over Pothole and Gets Same-Day Response
One New Yorker tested City Hall’s responsiveness with a TikTok post and ended up watching the problem disappear within hours.
TikTok user @swiperdrin tagged Mayor Zohran Mamdani while calling attention to a pothole on a city street. By the end of the day, crews had already repaired it. The turnaround caught the creator off guard, leading him to share his stunned reaction from different spots around the city.

The moment quickly became a small but effective showcase for Mamdani’s ongoing street repair campaign. After a punishing winter left roads across New York battered, his administration leaned into overnight crews and an accelerated schedule that reportedly produced more than 100,000 pothole repairs during his first 100 days in office.

WATCH:
Online, the response moved fast. Some users praised the direct line between residents and City Hall, with one reaction comparing tagging Mamdani to a “Batman” summon. Others used the viral moment to press the mayor on larger concerns, including rent costs, public transportation and MTA fares.

Mamdani has referred to the approach as “pothole politics,” framing visible, everyday fixes as a way to rebuild trust in local government.
The repair itself may have been routine. The public reaction was anything but. In a city where residents are used to complaints disappearing into a system, one tagged post producing a same-day result gave people something concrete to talk about.
