#FASHIONFILES: La Beauté Louis Vuitton Launches in Fall 2025, with Dame Pat McGrath Creative Director
Louis Vuitton is launching La Beauté Louis Vuitton with Dame Pat McGrath as its first creative director of cosmetics.
The makeup collection will initially launch with 55 lipsticks, 10 lip balms and eight eye palettes. "Working backstage for over 20 years at Louis Vuitton fashion shows, I am thrilled to now play such a key role in the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, which is the result of extraordinary craftmanship, creativity and innovation," says McGrath.
"The beauty universe is about so much more than just product, and what we are creating here will unlock a new level in luxury beauty.”

McGrath will continue to oversee her own make-up brand, Pat McGrath Labs, which she launched in 2015 with great success. The LVMH structure for La Beauté Louis Vuitton mirrors the one in place with Guerlain’s Violette Serrat.
In September 2024, Fast Company named Pat McGrath as one of the 10 most innovative people in the last 10 years.
McGrath launched her eponymous beauty collection in 2015, including the word ‘Labs’ as a major innovation signal. Her move to establish a beauty collection in 2017 led to private equity firm Eurazeo Brands investing $60 million a year later, bringing Pat McGrath Labs’ valuation then to $1 billion. That stake was sold in 2021, with Fast Company reporting that the brand has cooled in recent years, as more brands enter the universe of beauty brands.
The revered leader in the beauty industry received a WSJ Innovators Award in 2013. This WSJ video of McGrath’s work in fashion highlights her tremendous impact on the fashion industry at that time.

#RHOA: The Premiere Sets the Stage for Kenya Moore’s Exit With Testy First Interaction With Brit Eady
The Real Housewives of Atlanta returned for a surprisingly normal season 16 premiere Sunday night given the behind-the-scenes drama that has plagued the reality series in the last year — save for a lengthy set of introductions bringing the majority new cast into the fold.
“Welcome Back Peaches” is the title of the episode, which sees Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey return to the series after lengthy hiatuses, though only Williams has a coveted peach in the show intro, along with returning castmember Drew Sidora and Shamea Morton, long a friend of the series, who’s now been upgraded to the main cast.
Morton serves as the connector between the OG cast and the newest peach holders — Brit Eady, Angela Oakley and Kelli Ferrell — who wastes little time instigating drama, repeatedly asking why Williams, in the midst of a divorce from husband Simon Guobadia after 15 months of marriage, stole her soon-to-be-ex from Falynn Pina, who appeared as a friend of the cast on season 13 of the Bravo reality show while married to the Nigerian entrepreneur.
More snarky inquisitions continue deep into the episode when Morton hosts a lavish birthday party at her Atlanta mansion and both Williams and Kenya Moore, who’s noticeably been omitted from the season’s promo images, are introduced to the show’s new crew. As the women discuss who’s married (Eady, Morton and Oakley) and who’s going through a divorce (Williams, Moore, Sidora and Ferrell), Moore asks Eady whether she’s married or engaged since she’s only wearing a solitary ring without a wedding band.
When Eady, a former model, tells Moore the ring is an upgrade from the first one husband Michael Cunningham gave her, she remarks, “OK, an anniversary of the first ring,” with an air of confusion in her voice that Eady didn’t take to well. “You’re going through a divorce, and I’m married,” she later says to Ferrell and her husband in a side conversation. “Why are you worried about my wedding band? You don’t see this rock? Tuh. There’s nothing to worry about.”
Though that’s the end of the ladies’ interaction in the episode, audiences already know there’s more to come as Moore was suspended and later fired from RHOA last June after displaying sexually explicit posters of Eady at the grand opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta during filming of the latest season. Moore, who initially denied the accusation of revenge porn when word of the incident spread on social media, confessed to wrongdoing during an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show this past November, telling the host, “Hindsight is always 50-50. If I could do it all over again — I believe the photos were very distasteful and I elevated the situation.”
It’s unclear whether Bravo will air the altercation that led to Moore’s exit, though if they do it could clear up conflicting reports about the fallout, as Moore claimed she was protecting herself and her daughter Brooklyn from threats made by Eady. At the time of the incident, a source close to production told Page Six, “At no time was Kenya ever threatened with a weapon, nor was there ever a weapon present during the course of production.” Another source alleged Eady made verbal threats that caused castmembers to become “uncomfortable.”
Uncomfortable describes many of the interactions in this season’s premiere episode, with Sidora also getting put on the spot for her seemingly questionable relationship with Dennis McKinley, the father of Williams’ daughter, Pilar Jhena. Though Sidora says McKinley is only helping her work on new music, her description of him as her main source of support through her divorce from Ralph Pittman, and her failure to invite Williams to her alleged surprise birthday party, which McKinkey attended, has raised eyebrows among the group, particularly from Williams and Morton, who asks Sidora outright at the end of the episode: “Are you dating Dennis now?”
How Sidora answers is yet to be seen, as is how Phaedra Parks will make her pre-announced return to the series after her departure in 2017. So far, there’s also been no mention of Kandi Burruss, who exited the series last March. Burrus recently told THR she had faith in the series’ ability to forge ahead strongly amid the many cast shake-ups.
“I don’t think it has to be the end,” said Burruss. “I think that show can keep going and going and going, because it’s an audience for somebody. Now, maybe it may not be the same fans. Maybe some people might fall off, but I’ve seen it happen multiple times. When we first lost Kim Zolciak people were like, ‘Oh, nobody’s gonna watch the show,’ and the ratings went up. Then the first time Nene [Leakes] left people were like, ‘Ohhh,’ and the ratings were still good.”
Time will tell whether that same trajectory will hold up following Moore’s departure, at some point this season.
RHOA airs new episodes Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo, streaming the next day on Peacock.

#HiphopNews: Lil Nas X Is More Lyrical Than Ever On “DREAMBOY,” A Promising Glimpse At His New Era!
Lil Nas X is back and better than ever with “DREAMBOY,” the title track from his eagerly awaited sophomore album. Released on Monday (March 10), the Grammy Award winner reminded fans he’s still got plenty to say.
In the accompanying visual effort, Lil Nas X stands inside a pink box that bears the song's title — like he’s a Ken doll ready to be unwrapped. “Good evening, everybody. I would like for you to grab a glass of wine and let me talk to you for a minute,” he says before taking a drag from a cigarette.
“I was scared then, ain't scared now / Weren't ready then, but I'm ready now,” Lil Nas X spits on the single, subsequently crowning himself the "controversy king" a few bars later. His confidence carries over elsewhere in the verse when he references Halloween, “s**tting” on his competition and his Brazilian fanbase — all while delivering bars like, “Hey, hey, hey, b**ch, I'm still making history / Okay, I'm global, I'm back to taking over.”
The “Old Town Road” hitmaker then doubled down on a line — nestled at the end of the opening verse — that could have rubbed some casual listeners the wrong way: "Fell off for a minute, now I'm back on / I just do what I want, I don't care what they like / Say it with me, n**ga, ‘B**ch, I'm back like J. Christ.’” His 2024 track "J CHRIST" — which featured Ye, Oprah Winfrey and Taylor Swift look-alikes in its video — was seemingly set to launch his sophomore album rollout. However, that plan quickly derailed after it recieved backlash, with critics claiming that he was “mocking Christianity.”
After a few months and a heated exchange with Azealia Banks about how he “fell off,” Lil Nas X hit the reset button and dropped the trailer for phase 1 of DREAMBOY. However, days after the announcement, Sega Bodega accused the rapper of copying his cover concept for "Angel On My Shoulder," a single he dropped three years prior, for "LIGHT AGAIN!"
That’s not to say Lil Nas X hasn’t picked up a few wins along the way, like presenting at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards or dropping the tantalizing “need dat boy,” but there's still a long road ahead. Luckily, "DREAMBOY" feels like a promising step toward reclaiming the momentum we saw during his rise to stardom.

The convicted gunman in the 2002 murder of Hip-Hop legend Jam Master Jay has been hospitalized after being stabbed 18 times during a prison gang fight at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
On Feb. 22, Karl Jordan, who was found guilty in 2024 of pulling the trigger in the shooting death of the iconic DJ, was wounded in the altercation and admitted to the hospital in serious condition.

The gang fight led to a lock down of the facility and the suspension of all visitation privileges for at least one month, as the notorious holding facility continues to battle scandals and controversy.

Jordan and his accomplice, Ronald “Tinard” Washington, are believed to have slain Jam Master Jay for being cut out of a proposed cocaine trafficking operation to be based in Baltimore. It was also alleged to be supplied by founding Black Mafia Family member Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.
Jordan and Washington are still awaiting sentencing for the murder of Jam Master Jay. Both face a minimum of 20 years in prison up to a maximum of life.
Hairstylist Charged With 2nd-Degree Assault After Dragging 15 Y.O. Client Who “Ran Off”
Jayla Cunningham — the Maryland hairstylist who appears on camera dragging her 15-year-old client over an alleged attempt to evade payment — now faces second-degree assault charges.
The viral footage, posted by the 18-year-old hairstylist herself, shows her dragging the teenager across the floor of her salon over a $150 service including an “up-down” hair installation.
In the video shared by Fox 5 DC, Cunningham is heard screaming, “I’m not f**king playing. You just tried to f**king run. You lucky I ain’t beat the sh*t out you.” The scene then escalates as Cunningham drags the young girl by her hood, tossing her to the ground and continuing to berate her while cutting the style out of her hair.
According to the young girl’s mother, who’s concealed her child’s name because she’s a minor, she accidentally sent the payment to the wrong Cash App account instead of the stylist’s.
“It’s absolutely absurd,” began the teenager’s mother. “It’s viral. It’s all over the country.” When asked how her daughter is dealing with the unwanted attention emotionally, she added, “Not good at all.”
Yet, Cunningham maintains that, without her forceful actions, she believes she would not have received the payment. “She ran without paying me,” Cunningham explained. “I dragged her by her hood back into the salon until I could get paid or until the police come or until she let me take out the service.”
Meanwhile, the family of the 15-year-old has hired legal representation, with attorney De’Aja Thompson condemning the act as “horrendous” and questioning the need for such violence over what was ultimately a mistake.
“It’s a 15-year-old girl. We’re talking about someone’s child here,” Thompson stated. “A child who is being dragged over something as simple as a mistake.”
Cunningham’s court date is set for April 18.

Ashanti shares why motherhood changed her view on time

Ashanti has to be “a lot more cognizant of time” now that she is a mom. The Grammy-winning artist has entered a new chapter in her life, balancing her successful music career with the demands of motherhood.
The 44-year-old singer, who is married to “Hot in Herre” singer Nelly, gave birth to son KK last August but is heading back out on tour later this year and admitted that she will be putting a lot more “preparation” into logistics now that she has the little one to think about. This transition marks a significant shift in her approach to touring, which she has been doing professionally since her career began.
“It’s going to be my first time going [on tour] as a mom,” she told People. “Obviously, we need extra hands. There’s definitely going to be extra bags, because I already travel with too much luggage. But [we are going to be] a lot more cognizant of time and [spend more time] preparing, because you just never know what’s going to happen.” The challenges of balancing touring and parenthood are well-documented among performing artists.
The “Foolish” hitmaker is going to be in “protective mode” throughout the jaunt, which will see her head across the United Kingdom in April with Sean Paul as part of their Bring It tour, and will be more careful about who she lets backstage as she is more conscious of germs spreading now. The tour is expected to be a major event for fans of both artists.
“[I will be] cognizant of time and my surroundings, obviously not having a lot of people in and out, not allowing people to come in with shoes on, just germs and that kind of thing,” she said. “I’m definitely in Mama Bear protective mode, wanting to protect the baby.” These precautions reflect the heightened awareness that often comes with new parenthood.
Ashanti will also be joined on the road by her mother Tina — who she refers to as her “momager” — and ultimately just “feels good” knowing that she can hit the road. Many performing artists rely on family support when touring with young children.
“Momager is not playing no games. She calls herself Tima. Not grandma, Tima. Cause her name is Tina. So Tima will be there,” she said. “Everything’s heated, I’m healthy. Nothing crazy. It just feels good to be able to just move around and carry my baby, and, you know, make moves. It’s a beautiful thing.” The singer’s mother has been instrumental in her career since the beginning.
This upcoming tour marks Ashanti’s return to performing after welcoming her first child, joining many female artists who have successfully balanced touring with new motherhood. The music industry continues to evolve in how it accommodates parent performers.
Her collaboration with Paul reunites two iconic voices from the early 2000s R&B and dancehall scene, promising fans a nostalgic yet fresh performance experience. Both artists have maintained strong followings throughout their careers.
Ashanti, who rose to fame in 2002 with her self-titled debut album, has made a lasting impact on the music industry during her career. Her relationship with Nelly began in 2003, with the couple separating in 2013 before reconnecting in 2021. Their reunion led to welcoming their son last year.
The singer’s candid discussion about motherhood highlights the universal challenges of work-life balance that many professional women face. Working mothers often describe the difficult balance between career demands and childcare responsibilities.
As she prepares for her tour, Ashanti joins many touring musicians who are parents, navigating the unique challenges of raising children while maintaining a demanding performance schedule. Industry veterans often develop specialized routines to manage both career and family responsibilities effectively.
The ‘Bring It’ tour is anticipated to be one of the most exciting R&B events in the UK this year, with fans eager to see both performers on stage.
With her mother’s support, careful planning, and new priorities as a parent, Ashanti is redefining her approach to touring in this new chapter of her life. Her experience resonates with many professional parents who must constantly balance career ambitions with family responsibilities.

The fan-favorite sitcom, starring Cedric the Entertainer and Tichina Arnold, will return for the 2025-2026 television season before taking its final bow.
Since its premiere in 2018, “The Neighborhood” has been a staple of CBS’s Monday night lineup, delivering big laughs and heartfelt moments.
The show follows the hilarious culture clashes between Calvin Butler (Cedric the Entertainer) and his new neighbors, the Johnsons, played by Max Greenfield and Beth Behrs.

CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach praised the show’s impact, saying, “The brilliant cast and creative team… have brought levity, laughter, and poignant storylines to Monday nights for seven incredible seasons.”
Despite being a strong performer for CBS—averaging 6.4 million viewers with 35-day multiplatform viewing—the network has decided to conclude the series with a final season that gives fans a proper farewell.
This move ensures The Neighborhood goes out on a high note rather than overstaying its welcome.

Celebrity Barber Accuses Diddy of Assault

Last year Bad Boy Entertainment CEO, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, was hit with an avalanche of shocking civil lawsuits after he was arrested on criminal charges based on claims made by his ex girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in her civil lawsuit
Now a former celebrity barber has filed a civil lawsuit accusing Diddy of sexual abuse...
From AllHipHop: Diddy faces yet another troubling legal battle as a former Harlem barber steps into the spotlight with accusations of sexual assault against the Hip-Hop mogul.
In a lawsuit filed in New York City, the barber, known in the documents as John Doe, claims that Diddy assaulted him in a studio back in 1997.
According to Doe, he was well-respected within Harlem’s music community, often cutting hair for the industry’s biggest names, including Diddy.
Their relationship went deeper than mere client and barber; they shared mutual friends, one of whom worked security for the famed Bad Boy Records.
On the fateful night in question, Doe was picked up in a ritzy blue Mercedes by this mutual friend and found Diddy already inside the car.
Once they reached the recording studio, the encounter took a dark turn. Left alone after others departed, Doe says he and the mogul shared drinks and smoked marixuana.
What happened next is blurred by suspicion and fear, as Doe claims he blacked out, suspecting his drink may have been tampered with by Diddy. He awoke to find himself in a compromising position, his pants and underwear askew, while Diddy stood nearby.
Confronted with confusion and anger, Doe says he demanded an explanation yelling, “Yo Puff, what the f### is with this funny s###?!” as he approached Diddy with the intent of assaulting him.
An attempt at appeasement—$1,000 in cash from Diddy—was reluctantly accepted by Doe as he left, rattled to his core.
In the lawsuit, Doe recounts sharing the traumatic experience with the mutual friend who introduced him to Diddy that night. This confidant allegedly dismissed Doe’s concerns, casually referring to Combs as a “punk axx.”
Gossip in Harlem circles hinted at his bisixual tendencies for years, but Doe emphasizes that this was more than hearsay—this was a violent transgression.

Ye Posts Photo of KKK Robe After Announcing Return of Sunday Service: ‘Outfit of the Day’

Ye has announced the return of Sunday Service. On Saturday (March 8), the 47-year-old rapper — formerly known as Kanye West — took to social media to reveal that his Sunday Service choir events would be making a comeback.
“Sunday Service Returns March 16 2025,” Ye wrote in an Instagram Stories post, accompanied by a screenshot of a text message exchange with Sunday Service choir director Jason White.
Further details had not been revealed as of press time.
Just hours after the Sunday Service announcement, the Chicago native, who recently made controversial remarks online regarding antisemitism and admiration for Hitler, posted a photo of white robes resembling those worn by the Ku Klux Klan white supremacist group.
“Outfit of the day,” Ye captioned the photo on Instagram Sunday (March 9).
Ye’s Sunday Service sessions began in early 2019 and ran sporadically through 2021. The events — often livestreamed — featured his gospel group performing at large gatherings in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Detroit, Houston, Salt Lake City and Washington, D.C.
The rapper’s spiritually-based project Jesus Is Born, credited to the Sunday Service Choir, was released in December 2019 and reached No. 2 on Billboard‘s Top Gospel Albums chart.
In recent days, Ye has continued making offensive remarks on social media, including a post on March 6 to X, where he wrote, “This next album got that antisemitic sound. My new sound called antisemitic.”
It is unclear if this is related to the release of his Bully album, which he teased at the beginning of 2025. He appeared to have plans to release Bully sometime this year, but it remains uncertain if the project will ever be released.
In February, Ye also made several antisemitic comments and expressed admiration for Hitler, though he later walked back his statements, insisting that he wasn’t a Nazi. During an interview with Justin LaBoy in February, the rapper revealed that he was diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder).

Dominican authorities say missing University of Pittsburgh student likely drowned
A University of Pittsburgh student who went missing while on spring break in the Dominican Republic is believed to have drowned, officials confirmed on Sunday (March 9). Sudiksha Konanki, a 20-year-old legal permanent resident of the United States and an Indian citizen, reportedly disappeared after going for a swim in Punta Cana in the early hours of March 6.
Konanki was one of six female students from the University of Pittsburgh who traveled to the Caribbean for vacation. According to reports from ABC News, she was last seen on surveillance footage around 4:15 a.m. at the Riu República Hotel's beach. A police report stated that she was caught by a strong wave while swimming with another person.
Details of the incident and search efforts
Investigators say Konanki went to the beach with a group of friends and others they met at the resort. At some point, most of the group returned to the hotel, but she remained on the beach with one young man. CNN revealed that surveillance footage showed the rest of the group leaving around 5:55 a.m., while the young man departed the beach alone at 9:55 a.m., with no sign of Konanki. Police are still piecing together information from him and other sources but haven’t yet revealed his version of events.
Search efforts began after her friends reported her missing around 4 p.m. that same day. Dominican authorities have been searching on land, by air and in the water, using helicopters and other rescue tools to locate her. Local police questioned the young man who last seen with Konanki, as well as others who were with her that night, to verify accounts of what happened.
Her father, Subbarayudu Konanki, who traveled to Punta Cana to assist in the search, expressed concerns about other possible explanations beyond drowning. He urged those in charge to look into the possibility of foul play, kidnapping or human trafficking. “We don’t think she would be able to survive for more than three days in the water, and I think something else might’ve happened to her,” he told CNN.
International and local authorities respond
CNN added that the U.S. embassy in the Dominican Republic, the Indian Embassy and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia – where the Konanki family resides – are all involved in the case. The sheriff’s office has been in communication with federal law enforcement, the U.S. State Department, and Dominican authorities to assist with the investigation. The Indian Embassy has taken the lead in working with law enforcement on the ground.
The Dominican National Emergency System is also coordinating search efforts with the tourism police, the civil defense, the Dominican Navy, and other rescue organizations. ABC News reported that four teams of drones with advanced technology have been deployed to conduct a thorough search of the Bávaro coastal area. Meanwhile, the University of Pittsburgh urged anyone with relevant information to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
The Riu hotel chain expressed condolences and confirmed that it was in full cooperation. “We want to express our sincerest empathy towards the family and friends during this very difficult time,” the company stated. “The safety and well-being of our guests are our highest priority, and we are committed to doing everything possible to assist in this situation.”

Jennifer Hudson Jokingly Pokes Fun of Kevin Hart's Height in Selfie

Jennifer Hudson had some fun with Kevin Hart's height in a teaser for an upcoming episode of talk show.
On Sunday, Hudson shared a post on X in which she stands alongside Hart ahead of his Monday appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. As you'll see below, Hudson cropped the photo so that only Hart's head is showing.
Hart's short stature has always been a source of jokes for the comedian and those in his orbit. During NBA All-Star Weekend, Hart stood next to Shaquille O'Neal, which led to some major comedy.
During the broadcast, Kevin Durant was heard asking his teammates why Hart was so short, saying, "Bro, why he that small, dog? How you get no taller than that, bro? Kevin Hart, man. How did he not grow taller?"
"He just stopped," James Harden replied
Hart revealed his true height in an interview with 60 Minutes. Although he's listed as 5'5", he said his height changes depending on the shoes he wears.
“[I’m] 5-foot-5, like with a shoe on, like a sneaker," Hart said. "Now, if I put a boot on, I can get to 5’5″ and a half.”

Odell Beckham Jr. & Druski Named in Diddy Lawsuit, Both Deny Allegations
NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and comedian Druski were both named in a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Back in September, the 55-year-old disgraced music mogul was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The suit was filed by a woman named Ashley Parham, who made sexual assault allegations against them, Variety reports. The incident is alleged to have taken place in 2018, but both Odell and Druski are seemingly denying all wrongdoing.
“This allegation is a fabricated lie. I wasn’t a public figure in 2018 — I was broke living with my mom without any connections to the entertainment industry at the time of this allegation, so the inclusion of my name is truly outlandish. My heart breaks for actual victims of abuse, but I’m fully confident that the evidence will expose this falsehood and the individuals who are maliciously trying to game the legal system to pedal false narratives,” Druski posted on Twitter/X.

Odell also responded to the X post, writing, “Boy I’ll tell u what. This world makes absolutely no sense. I am covered by God. He will prevail. I kno who am I , I kno who u are, keep ur head. That name will be cleared. Shxts stupid.”

Ian McKellen Tells Closeted Actors to Come Out as Gay: ‘Being in the Closet Is Silly. There’s No Need for It. Don’t Listen to Your
Ian McKellen said in a recent interview with The Times of London that he feels sorry for fellow actors who feel like they can’t come out as gay. The “X-Men” and “Lord of the Rings” icon has been one of the most prominent gay actors for decades. He publicly came out in 1988 at age 48 during a radio interview on BBC. He is now urging performers to not keep their sexual identity a secret.
“I have never met anybody who came out who regretted it,” McKellen said. “I feel sorry for any famous person who feels they can’t come out. Being in the closet is silly — there’s no need for it. Don’t listen to your advisers, listen to your heart. Listen to your gay friends who know better. Come out. Get into the sunshine.”
Ian McKellen Says 'Fat Suit Saved My Ribs' During 'Horrible' Stage Fall: The Pain Is Still 'Agonizing' and 'I Have to Keep Telling Myself I'm Not Too Old to Act'
McKellen observed that there’s never been an openly gay Oscar winner for best actor, nor has there been an openly gay U.K. prime minister or Premier League soccer player.
“In women’s sport it’s not an issue,” he said. “I would imagine young footballers are probably, like actors, getting very bad advice from agents who are worried about their own incomes. But the first Premier League footballer to come out will become the most famous footballer in the world, with all the agencies begging for his name on their products.””
While biases against gay actors in Hollywood persist, McKellen thinks the benefits of coming out far outweigh the risks. Kate Winslet told The Sunday Times in 2021 that it’s “dated crap” for Hollywood to overlook gay actors, especially when it comes to casting straight parts. She added: “That should be almost illegal.”
“I cannot tell you the number of young actors I know — some well known, some starting out — who are terrified their sexuality will be revealed and that it will stand in the way of their being cast in straight roles,” the Oscar winner said. “Now that’s fucked up… I can think of at least four actors absolutely hiding their sexuality. It’s painful because they fear being found out. And that’s what they say, ‘I don’t want to be found out.’”

Michelle Obama and Her Brother Craig Robinson Launch New Podcast ‘IMO’

*Michelle Obama is stepping into the world of podcasting, adding another impressive achievement to her already esteemed career. The former First Lady and her brother, Craig Robinson, are set to launch their new podcast titled “IMO” on March 12.
In this exciting new venture, the siblings plan to share their insights and candid perspectives on the everyday questions that shape their lives and the world around them.
In a press release announcing the podcast, Obama expressed the goal of creating a space where listeners can engage in honest conversations about life’s challenges.
“Through honesty, humor, and deep reflection, we uncover the shared experiences that connect us all,” she stated.
This podcast is not just about the Obama family’s experiences; it aims to foster a wider dialogue about relationships, personal growth, and the complex realities of today’s world.
The inaugural episodes will feature a star-studded lineup of guests, including actress and writer Issa Rae, motivational speaker Jay Shetty, and actress Keke Palmer. With high-profile guests contributing their voices and stories, “IMO” promises to be a compelling and relatable listening experience. Obama underscored the current cultural climate’s urgency.
“With everything going on in the world, we’re all looking for answers and people to turn to.”
She aims to provide a platform for genuine inquiry as individuals confront personal and societal issues alike.
“We grew up talking through life’s big and small questions together. And now, we’re inviting listeners into that conversation,” said Robinson, sharing his enthusiasm.
With this, the siblings hope to inspire new ideas and fresh perspectives, fostering a sense of connection among listeners. They feel that these topics resonate on personal levels, allowing for reflection and engagement across various life experiences.
The first two episodes of “IMO” are set to air on Wednesday, with new episodes being released weekly. To celebrate the launch, Michelle and Craig will make a live appearance at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas, on Thursday, where they will record a special episode in front of a live audience.
The announcement of the podcast comes during a period when Michelle Obama has seemingly taken a step back from the public eye following the 2024 presidential election. The former First Lady notably skipped the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter and did not attend President Trump’s inauguration, with her husband, former President Barack Obama, attending both events solo. While the reasons for her recent absences remain unspecified, the launch of “IMO” marks a significant return to engaging with the public on a different platform.
Through “IMO,” Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson seek to create a space that invites vulnerability and open dialogue. They assert that there is no singular way to navigate life’s challenges—whether relating to family, faith, or personal relationships. Engaging in discussions can illuminate new paths and instill hope, particularly in a time marked by uncertainty and change.
As the podcast prepares to debut, it stands poised to reflect an authentic and relatable approach to contemporary issues, following in the footsteps of Michelle Obama’s previous endeavors that champion community, connection, and dialogue. The project underscores the enduring relevance of the Obama brand and highlights their commitment to fostering understanding and connection in a rapidly changing world. “IMO” promises to be more than just a podcast; it aims to be a welcoming space where listeners can explore and reflect on their lives alongside two of the most well-known figures in modern history.

Palestinian Activist Arrested in ICE Raid After Leading Columbia University Protests
Federal immigration authorities arrested Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil on Saturday night, marking a major escalation in the Trump administration’s crackdown on student activists involved in anti-Israel protests.
According to The Associated Press, Khalil, a former Columbia University graduate student, was taken into custody from his university-owned apartment by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Green Card Revoked on State Department Orders
Khalil’s attorney, Amy Greer, told the AP that she spoke with an ICE agent during the arrest, who initially claimed Khalil’s student visa was being revoked under State Department orders. When informed that Khalil was actually a U.S. permanent resident with a green card, the agent allegedly replied, “We’re revoking that instead.”

Homeland Security Cites Trump’s Anti-Semitism Orders
A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson, Tricia McLaughlin, confirmed Khalil’s arrest in a statement to the AP, saying it was carried out “in support of President Trump’s executive orders prohibiting anti-Semitism.”
The arrest raises serious questions about how far the administration will go in its efforts to detain and deport activists—particularly those involved in protests critical of Israel.
With Khalil’s residency status now in limbo, legal experts warn that this could set a dangerous precedent for revoking green cards based on political activity.
Khalil’s legal team is preparing to challenge the arrest, but under Trump’s strict immigration policies, his future in the U.S. remains uncertain.
