MAGFAB: Lauren Sánchez Bezos for VOGUE’s June Digital Cover
Lauren Sánchez Bezos began envisioning her wedding dress more than eighteen months ago during an intimate dinner in New York with designer Domenico Dolce. The collaboration culminated in a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown featuring a high-necked silhouette adorned with 180 silk chiffon-covered priest buttons, paired with a delicate tulle-and-lace veil—an homage to the iconic look worn by Sophia Loren in the 1958 film HOUSEBOAT.“What started as a vision for a simple, modern, and sexy dress evolved into something deeply personal—something that captures a moment and reflects who I am today,” said Sánchez Bezos. “It’s a departure from what people might expect, but it feels authentically me.”
#RHOA: Andy Questions Charles Oakley About Shereé Whitfield Relationship in Shocking RHOA Reunion Trailer👀

Sitting down with host Andy Cohen to revisit the season's jaw-dropping sweet and sour moments are cast members Angela Oakley, Drew Sidora, Kelli Ferrell, Phaedra Parks, Porsha Williams, Shamea Morton, and friend Cynthia Bailey. Also joining the ladies for a segment are Angela's husband, Charles Oakley, Porsha's ex-fiancé, Dennis McKinley, and Drew's estranged husband, Ralph Pittman.
Take a sneak peek by checking out the above preview, which kicks off with Porsha vowing to "step to the plate with each lady with truth," before the tease instantly cuts to Andy questioning why she said she "would f--k Angela's husband."
Charles is once again caught in the crossfire later, as Andy asks when the retired NBA pro dated "our friend," RHOA alum Shereé Whitfield.
Angela jumps in and asks Andy, "What are we doing here?" before Charles speaks for himself: "Everybody [wants] to know about me. What about y'all? I'm the only husband here. Where are y'all husbands at?" (ICYMI: While previously addressing Charles' romantic history with Shereé on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in March, Angela confirmed that she thinks "the rumors are true," but she hadn't discussed it with him.)
Pulling out a "whole file cabinet" of receipts, Angela, meanwhile, goes toe-to-toe with Phaedra, as the two have a heated back-and-forth about everything from ages and physical appearance to the latter's alleged "pattern of lying" and each other's notoriety.
After Phaedra insists that she's "in all the rooms," Angela fires back, "The rooms I'm in, they don't know you."
Though Drew appears to tell Shamea to "go sit on Porsha's lap," referencing her "lap dog" comments from earlier in the season, the one-time childhood BFFs still appear to be at odds as they get in several arguments.
Before you can hear their answer to Andy's question about "the current status of [their] friendship today," the action flashes to the WWHL host refereeing their heated confrontation about past drama between their moms. as he repeatedly shouts, "Hold on!"
Finally, Porsha cryptically declares, "That's it" and stands up, though it's unclear if she's walking toward Shamea or off the set.
Drew Sidora spars with Ralph Pittman about their ongoing divorce
Drew seemingly confesses to characterizing Porsha's return "as a flop," to which the latter fires back, "She should be worried about who's flippin' and floppin' in the basement with Ralph."
Enter Ralph, whom Andy asks if he really thinks "Drew was sleeping with Dennis for beats" amid their "nightmare" divorce
"I didn't know exactly what the relationship was," Ralph responds, before dropping a bombshell, claiming that Drew said Dennis was "trying to holler at" her, too. Drew swiftly and vehemently denies this, simultaneously eliciting a stunned "wow" from Dennis.
The three-part RHOA Season 16 reunion kicks off on Sunday, July 13 on Bravo..
#MusicNews: Lady Wray Announces New Album 'Cover Girl,' Shares 'You're Gonna Win'

Progressive soul singer Lady Wray, formerly known as Nicole Wray, has unveiled her new album Cover Girl will release Sept. 26 via Big Crown Records.
She worked alongside longtime collaborator Leon Michels to craft “a joyful, revitalized vision” of her evolving sound: ‘60s and ’70s-inspired soul and disco, ‘90s hip-hop and R&B, and gospel.
Regarding Cover Girl, Wray says, “This has been the clearest window into my brain and how I’ve been feeling lately. This is a let your hair down, love yourself, treat yourself, colorful fun awakening explosion.”
Not only will Cover Girl be released digitally but on vinyl, cassette and CD. The vinyl will be available in standard black and a limited-edition purple with blue smoke.
Along with her new album announcement, Wray has released the lead single, “You’re Gonna Win.” The floor-filling disco-funk groove is livened by soulful handclaps and gospel-tinged choir vocals.
“You’re gonna win / All of my loving / You’re gonna win / Goodness, Goodness / You just won the lottery,” Wray sings on the cookout-ready jam.
“This song is my night out,” explains Wray. “I can get dressed, call my friends, and we’re gonna go out, dance, and have a great time.”
Besides “You’re Gonna Win,” Cover Girl will also include the previously shared tracks “Best For Us,” “Be A Witness” and “Time.”
Wray’s upcoming album is the follow-up to 2022’s Piece of Me. The latter included the singles “Come On In,” “Under The Sun,” “Joy & Pain” and the title track.
“I’ve gravitated more towards love and self-care with this album. Piece of Me was realizing that I was going to be a mother, and all those feelings were on my heart,” Wray shares.
She continues, “Now I’m able to sit back and be a real boss. I got my career, my motherhood, and my marriage by the horns. I’ve grown into this more self-aware and beautiful flower for Cover Girl.”

#HipHopNews: Will Smith Disses Chris Rock in new Freestyle Rap

Will Smith appears to have taken aim at old foe Chris Rock in a new freestyle.
Appearing on Apple Music’s Fire in the Booth series, the iconic rapper and actor looked to save some choice bars for the comedian who he famously slapped on stage at the 2022 Oscars. While he doesn’t drop Rock’s name, Smith clearly references the incident, spitting: “If you talking crazy out your face up on the stage and disrespect me on the stage, expect me on the stage.”
He adds: “Jokers dish it out, cry foul when its time to take it / City full of real ones, wasn’t raised to fake it.”WATCH
The opening track features DJ Jazzy Jeff and B. Simone and is made out to be a barbershop type of convo, where lines like, “I heard he won the Oscar but he had to give it back – and you know they only made him do that shit because he’s Black” and, “He’s only still relevant because of his kids,” are sprinkled in.
And when it comes to the question of “Whodunnit?” Baby didn’t bat an eye. BOOM: “Thats us fashooo.” The unbothered king of bando behavior strikes again. He’s a wild dude!
He dropped about a milly on a weekend rental and left behind enough sneakers to open a Foot Locker. And that’s not even touching what the junk food and something under a pillow. People wonder what that was: gun, condom, Bhad Bhabie? I kid!
Baby’s team didn’t request anything back, but Reck did not seem to want the gifts anyway. According to Reck, he just donates or sells whatever’s salvageable. CRAZY!
I think this may have been a press play for the WHAM tour, which has Rob49, Loe Shimmy, and Pluto. There y’all go!
Rock is yet to respond to the lines. Smith also addressed the Oscars slap on his comeback album Based on a True Story which was released earlier this year to financial failure having been unable to even chart on the Billboard 200.

And on the song “You Lookin’ For Me?” he brings up Jada when he raps: “Personal life with my wife – mind your business, it’s complicated.”
During a live interview with Sway in the Morning held in his hometown of Philadelphia, Will Smith revealed that he phoned two people — JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar — for advice before recording the new album.
Anna Wintour Steps Down As ‘Vogue’ Editor-In-Chief After 37 Years
Anna Wintour has resigned from her role as the editor-in-chief of Vogue after 37 years.
As confirmed by WWD, Wintour made the announcement during a staff meeting on Wednesday (June 25). Vogue will be in search of a new head of editorial content as Wintour stays on as Condé Nast’s global chief content officer and Vogue‘s global editorial director.
Wintour’s reign began in 1988 after taking over the helm from former editor-in-chief Grace Mirabella. Wintour quickly rebranded the magazine and made history with the November 1988 cover that featured a model wearing denim for the first time on a Vogue cover.
In a 2012 interview, celebrating the magazine’s 120th anniversary, Wintour explained, “It was so unlike the studied and elegant close-ups that were typical of Vogue’s covers back then, with tons of makeup and major jewelry. This one broke all the rules. Afterwards, in the way that these things can happen, people applied all sorts of interpretations: It was about mixing high and low, Michaela was pregnant, it was a religious statement. But none of these things were true. I had just looked at that picture and sensed the winds of change. And you can’t ask for more from a cover image than that.”
The now 75-year-old was also credited as the pioneer behind putting celebrities on the cover. Her reputation was said to have inspired Miranda Priestly’s character in The Devil Wears Prada. Priestly was played by Meryl Streep.
Wintour became the artistic director of Condé Nast in 2013 and was named global content advisor in 2019. Her successor has not been named.

50 Cent Offers Zohran Mamdani A Payout And “First Class One Way” Flight To Leave NYC

50 Cent has shared his opinion on State Rep Zohran Mamdani (D-NY) after the 33-year-old politician defeated former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the New York City Democratic primary for mayor on Tuesday (June 24).
In a since-deleted post on Instagram, the rapper offered Mamdani a lump sum of cash and travel fare to leave the city. A screenshot of the upload was reported by Complex.
“Where did he come from?” questioned the Queens native. “Whose friend is this?” The video he uploaded featured Mamdani speaking on The Breakfast Club about his proposed tax policy. “I’m not feeling this plan no. I will give him $258,750 and a first class one way ticket away from NY. I’m telling [Donald] Trump what he said too !”

While speaking on The Breakfast Club, Mamdani explained his tax policies and even name-dropped the rapper in his commentary.
“What I’ve proposed is we raise $10 billion to pay for our entire economic agenda and start to Trump proof our city because we know he’ll use federal funding as leverage over this city. And we will do so in two key ways. The first is to match the state’s top corporate tax rate to that of New Jersey,” he explained.
“The second is taxing the top 1% of New Yorkers. We’re talking about people who make $1 million a year or more, taxing them by a flat 2% tax rate increase. I know 50 Cent is listening, he’s not going to be very happy about this, he tends to not like this tax policy, but I want to be very clear, this is about $20,000 a year.”
According to CBS News, Cuomo called Mamdani and congratulated him on his victory, however, the race will be officially decided by ranked choice voting after no candidate received 50% in the first round of counting. In total, Mamdani received 43.5% or 432,305 votes, with Cumo counting 36.5 % or 361,840 votes.
“Tonight, we made history. In the words of Nelson Mandela, ‘It always seems impossible until it is done.’ My friends, we have done it. I will be your Democratic nominee for the mayor of New York City,” Mamdani declared early Wednesday morning.
“Together, we have shown the power of the politics of the future, one of partnership and of sincerity.”

The Simpsons' EP Clarifies Marge Simpson's Fate After Shocking Death
The city of Springfield can rest easy. Amid the uproar online surrounding the death of The Simpsons’ matriarch Marge Simpson in a flash-forward during the season 36 finale, the show’s executive producer explained that the character is still very much alive in the cartoon’s universe.
“Obviously since The Simpsons future episodes are all speculative fantasies, they’re all different every time,” Matt Selman told Variety in an interview published June 26. “Marge will probably never be dead ever again. The only place Marge is dead is in one future episode that aired six weeks ago.”
In the episode “Estranger Things,” which aired May 18, Marge’s worst fear came true when her eldest kids Bart and Lisa grew apart and the matriarch (voiced by Julie Kavner) envisions the family’s future, during which they eventually reunite to care for an aging Homer, delighting Marge, who watched from heaven.
As Selman explained, when it comes down to it, “The Simpsons doesn’t even have canon!”
But when it comes to the public outcry over Marge’s apparent death, he sees it as proof the long-running animated series—primetime television's longest-running scripted series in American history—is still relevant.
“I guess this speaks to the fact that people care about Marge,” Selman said. “At the end of the day, it’s probably good for business even when these ridiculous, misleading stories go viral!”
While Marge’s “death” certainly caused a stir, it’s not the first character’s demise from the show’s 790 episodes that has moved fans. In fact, following last season’s death of mainstay Larry the Barfly—whose backstory had never before been explored throughout his 35-season run—viewers reminisced on the beloved Springfielder.
"RIP Larry the Barfly—we hardly knew ye," one fan wrote on X, while another shared, "May your journey end in a bar with bottomless kegs and an eternal happy hour."

Atlanta Sports Reporter Tabitha Turner Allegedly Attacked By Rideshare Driver

Tabitha Turner, an Atlanta-based NBA and WNBA reporter was allegedly violently attacked by her rideshare driver earlier this month.
According to Atlanta News First, Hapeville Police confirmed that she was punched and pepper-sprayed during an altercation with an Uber driver. Law enforcement arrived to find three women: Turner, the driver, Mericole Smith, and a witness who stopped to help and took video of the altercation. Turner had allegedly requested Smith to roll up the windows during the ride and turn on the air conditioner, to which Smith allegedly refused and asked Turner to exit the vehicle.
Per the outlet, Turner refused to leave the ride until it was refunded, before Smith lashed out with pepper spray. Police claim that Turner responded with her own pepper spray in self-defense, also scratching Smith in the process. Smith was hospitalized and, in her own viral video, claimed Turner had a weapon, the news outlet reported.
In her TikTok, Smith claimed she turned the air conditioning on at Turner’s request; however, the windows were cracked. She also alleged that Turner initiated the escalation and said she used mace in self-defense, not pepper spray.
“I’m going to act in my best interest, which is to protect myself,” Smith exclaimed. “And that’s what I did. I maced the sh*t out of her.”
The police report noted the area where the altercation occured as “a dangerous place to load and unload passengers,” and according to Atlanta News First, detailed probable cause to charge Smith with battery and simple battery.
During a press conference, Turner refuted the claims made by Smith on social media and claimed the ordeal has resulted in her being harassed. Her lawyer, Miguel Dominquez, also spoke beside her on behalf of his client.
“To pull over on the expressway suddenly, in the emergency lane with vehicles flying by, and to decide you’re going to tell the passenger, ‘You need to get out with your bags on the side of the expressway,’ is not a reasonable request by any stretch of the imagination,” explained Dominquez. “It was unsafe for her to do so, and it was completely unreasonable.”
“I’ve received threats via social media about my karma that’s coming to me,” Turner emotionally detailed. “Defaming my character, calling me all kinds of names. Saying things about why I attacked her and just how horrible of a person I am.”

Kyrie Irving Honors The Late Tamir Rice With A $50K Donation

The NBA star has donated $50,000 to a new youth center in Cleveland established in Rice’s memory. In 2014, Tamir Rice was fatally shot by a Cleveland police officer, he was 12-years-old. Irving’s donation was a part of a fundraiser that was launched by Rice’s mother, Samaria Rice, on what would’ve been his 23rd birthday.
The campaign was hosted on GoFundMe and it asks for supporters to donate $23, a symbolic tribute to how old he would’ve been. 12-year-old Rice was killed on November 22, 2014 by officer Timothy Loehmann, for playing with a toy gun in a local park. His case was one of many that drew national outrage and a continued fight for police accountability and racial justice.
Samaria Rice is currently working on turning her grief into something better, as she raises funds for an inner-city youth center. She has plans to use it for cultural development and art programs to empower the local youth.
“I miss my son so much each and every day,” she wrote on the fundraiser page. “As our family approaches Tamir’s 23rd birthday, I’m asking for $23 for 23 years without him. I purchased a building in the city of Cleveland to give back to our inner city youth with art and cultural developments.”
The campaign was launched on June 9 and has raised over $85,000 with a goal of $110,000. Irving’s contribution was made on June 25th. This donation comes after Kyrie Irving reportedly opted out of his current deal with the Dallas Mavericks to resign on a new three-year, $119 million extension. He is currently out with an ACL injury and is expected to miss an early part of the upcoming season.

Lyrica Anderson Calls Out Beyoncé’s Team For Songwriting Snub
While on the Shirley Temple podcast, the singer and former “Love & Hip-Hop” star said that she regrets forfeiting her credits on the 2013 Beyoncé song “Drunk In Love” featuring Jay-Z. However, they did give credit to Timbaland, Dre Moon, SoolGotHits, and Detail.
She claimed that she wrote the song “top to bottom,” including Beyoncé’s run on the word “loveeeee” in the chorus, but was propositioned to go credit-less on the song. However, Anderson has been credited for the song “Jealous,” which is also on the Grammy-winning self-titled album with “Drunk in Love” on it.

Margaret Cho Says Dave Chappelle’s Trans Jokes Are “Painful”

Margaret Cho isn’t holding her tongue when it comes to Dave Chappelle’s controversial takes on trans folks. Cho’s remarks came in the wake of Chappelle’s widely publicized Netflix specials. Chappelle first ignited controversy with his 2021 special “The Closer.”
Cho has a long history of standing up for marginalized communities alongside her comedy career. She frequently performs at Pride events and LGBTQIA+ fundraisers, and even creates music for queer audiences. In a 2025 interview with The Trevor Project, Cho described comedy as a tool for activism. “It is about amplifying voices that haven’t been heard, and it can be instrumental in bringing about real change,” she said.
Now, Cho is calling out fellow comedian Chappelle for what she sees as a reckless use of the platform they both share. She isn’t just cracking jokes — she’s demanding accountability. Here’s what Cho had to say about Chappelle, trans humor, and the responsibility comedians carry.
Cho is not here for Chapelle’s comments about the trans community. The queer Korean American comedy legend pulled up to “The Kelly Mantle Show” and didn’t mince words when the topic of Chappelle’s trans jokes came up. “I wish that he would not talk about the trans community in the way that he does,” Cho said. “He’s such an authority on comedy, people hold him in such high regard, but then when he talks about the trans community in such an uneducated, negative, and destructive way, it really is painful.”
Cho acknowledged Chappelle’s talent and legacy but questioned the direction he’s taken in recent years. “It feels like a betrayal,” she said. “I know that he’s better than that.”
Her remarks came in the wake of Chappelle’s widely publicized Netflix specials. Chappelle ignited controversy with his 2021 special The Closer, where he ridiculed trans people and openly declared himself “Team TERF” — a stance aligning with trans-exclusionary feminism.
Fellow comedian Michelle Buteau, a prominent Black lesbian voice in comedy, also clapped back at Chappelle’s rhetoric. In her special “A Buteau-ful Mind at Radio City Music Hall,” she didn’t hold back. “He is the GOAT, if that means going off about trans people. Dave, it’s not funny, it’s dangerous,” she said. “Make it funny. That’s all.”
Cho’s critique of Chappelle reflects a larger pattern in how she engages with fellow comedians. She doesn’t hesitate to call out peers — even friends — when accountability is due. On the same episode of “The Kelly Mantle Show,” Cho also spoke candidly about her experience with Ellen DeGeneres. While the public once hailed DeGeneres as the “Queen of Nice,” Cho didn’t sugarcoat her own experience. She revealed that Ellen treated her poorly throughout much of her career, describing her as “mean” and “not nice” behind the scenes.
Cho remembered opening for DeGeneres at comedy clubs in the 1980s, only to have Ellen act like they were strangers when Cho appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” years later. “Later, when I would do her talk show in the 2000s, she acted like we just met… B***h, what? We go way back,” Cho quipped.
Do you agree with Margaret Cho that Dave Chappelle’s jokes about trans people are harmful?

Coco Gauff & Aryna Sabalenka End Feud With TikTok Dance at Wimbledon
All is well between tennis pros Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka!
The two athletes were seemingly in a bit of a feud after Aryna‘s comments following her defeat by Coco at the 2025 French Open earlier this month.
However, the pair proved there is no animosity as they did a TikTok dance together during a practice session at Wimbledon on Friday (June 27) in London.
“TikTok dances always had a way of bringing people together 🕺😜,” Aryna captioned the dance on TikTok.
She also reposted the video on her Instagram in a joint post with Coco, who commented, “😂😂😂”
Coco also shared a video with Aryna on her own TikTok, which you can see below!
“the olive branch was extended and accepted! we’re good so you guys should be too😂🤍,” she captioned the clip.
The feud stemmed a couple weeks ago when Aryna told reporters that her loss came because she simply made too many mistakes and not because of Coco‘s skill.
Coco responded to the comments during an interview on Good Morning America, calling her a tough opponent and a fighter.
“I was a little bit surprised about the comments and everything, but I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt. I’m sure it was an emotional day, emotional match,” she said.
Back in 2023, Coco also defeated Aryna at the US Open, which earned her her first Grand Slam title!

Beyonce Nearly Falls From Floating Car During First Night of Cowboy Carter Tour In Houston

Beyoncé had a malfunction in the middle of her Cowboy Carter Tour show on Saturday (June 28) in her hometown of Houston, Texas.
The 43-year-old entertainer was performing “16 Carriages” while flying over the stage in a red car when one side went down and she nearly fell out as she slid down the seat.
While she continued to sing initially, she said to stop the show, and the car was safely lowered down. After it was down, Beyoncé walked down through the floor.
After returning to the stage, Bey made light of the situation, telling the crowd with a smile, “If I ever fall, I know y’all would catch me.” She then performed the rest of the song while safely on the stage.

The Atlanta rap heavyweight is back in the spotlight after a viral TikTok confirmed the chaotic lifestyle glimpsed in his WHAM world tour trailer wasn’t just cinematic flair.
Over the weekend, travel influencer Gabriel Reck uploaded a walk through of a $10 million Airbnb that had allegedly just housed Baby and crew. And let’s just say… it looked more like the aftermath of a festival. Reck’s video, which has since racked up millions of views, showcased a house in pure chaos. There were scattered clothes, towers of Nike Air Force 1s, discarded PlayStation controllers, and bullets on the floor.

Christian Keyes Snatches His Hit Show “All The Queen’s Men” from BET Over Alleged Lack of Transparency from the Network
The actor and creator is moving on from BET after being left out of key show updates and promises new beginnings for the fan-favorite series.
Christian Keyes is taking control of his “All the Queen’s Men” universe, and it’s not returning to BET or BET+.
Promoting part two of season four, the actor took to TikTok to share his frustrations: “It is continuously disappointing to find out that your show is coming back on the internet instead of finding out from the network,” Keyes said. He lamented not receiving trailers or updates like others, adding, “to see the trailer online and have to go search for [it], so I can try and download the trailer for the hit show that I created for this studio and this network instead of getting it sent when everybody else is getting theirs.”
Keyes labeled the treatment “dismissive and disrespectful,” explaining that despite raising concerns before, nothing changed. Because of this, the prequel and spinoff projects he’s written won’t be landing at BET. “It’s not up to the studio. It’s not up to the network. It’s up to me, thankfully,” he asserted, confirming negotiations are underway with other streaming platforms—though no deal is locked yet.
He also recounted how his “created by” credit was removed in season two, prompting him to go through the Writers Guild of America to “force the studio to give me my credit back.” He reminded fans that, though executive-produced by Tyler Perry, he conceived the series 15 years ago: “I think God gave it to me because he knew I was gonna protect it and I will, but some things, these things gotta change.”
On top of the screen ambitions, Keyes is launching an “All the Queen’s Men” stageplay in Vegas next summer, with plans to tour. He foreshadowed “personnel changes” in the TV production, suggesting someone on set became “entitled or arrogant and unprofessional” and even showed up impaired, though he didn’t name names. The second half of season four premieres July 24th, his 50th birthday.

Michelle Obama Fiercely Defends Her Marriage to Barack Obama Amid Constant Divorce Rumors
Michelle Obama is once again finding herself at the center of unfounded speculation about her marriage to former President Barack Obama, and this time she’s addressing the rumors head-on with a mix of humor and exasperation.
The former first lady has grown tired of tabloid whispers suggesting marital discord simply because the couple chooses to live their lives away from the constant glare of social media spotlight.
The latest wave of speculation intensified after Michelle was photographed on vacation while in Spain with daughters Malia and Sasha, notably without Barack by her side. The family trip to Mallorca sparked immediate commentary from critics and gossip enthusiasts wondering if the vacation was some type of evidence of trouble in paradise.
During a recent appearance on NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast with host Rachel Martin, Michelle addressed the persistent rumors with characteristic directness and a touch of bewilderment.
“The fact that people don’t see me going out on a date with my husband sparks rumors of the end of our marriage,” the 61-year-old explained.
When Martin quipped with a laugh, “It’s the apocalypse,” Michelle immediately echoed the sentiment: “It’s the apocalypse.”
The former first lady pointed to a generational difference in how she and Barack approach social media, explaining their absence from constant public documentation.
“It’s like, ‘OK, so we don’t Instagram every minute of our lives. We are 60. We’re 60, y’all. You just are not gonna know what we’re doing every minute of the day,’” she said.
She added, “And yes, I guess we’re famous, but we’re 60. We don’t take selfies.”
During the interview, Michelle revealed the deeper motivations behind her recent choices to step back from public expectations, like when she didn’t go to former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and President Trump’s inauguration in January.
Rather than apologizing for these decisions, she owned them completely.
“One of the major decisions I made this year was to stay put and not attend funerals and inaugurations and all the things that I’m supposed to attend,” Michelle explained, “That was a part of me using my ambition to say, ‘Let me define what I want to do, apart from what I’m supposed to do, what the world expects of me.’ And I have to own that. Those are my choices.”
Michelle acknowledged that her decisions came with consequences, but she remained unapologetic about prioritizing her own needs.
“Whatever the backlash was, I had to sit in it and own it. But I didn’t regret it, you know? It’s my life now, and I can say that, now,” she added, reflecting a newfound freedom in her post-White House years.
While she explains herself, many Atlanta Black Star Instagram followers pushed back against the criticism around the family, rumors of divorce, particularly surrounding the recent European getaway.
“Why is this anybody’s business?” one follower asked, cutting straight to the heart of the matter regarding the Mallorca vacation criticism.
Another supporter defended the trip, writing, “Sounds like a girl’s trip, and married folk are still two independent adults who might enjoy time apart on occasion. Plus, she’s earned the right to do literally whatever she wants.”
One person quipped, “THIS is scandalous?? With all that is going on in the world and in the current administration… THIS has people questioning?? Wtaf.”
Others challenged the basic premise that couples must be constantly visible together, asking “Who goes everywhere with their spouse?!”
Perhaps most tellingly, one person highlighted broader societal dynamics between how people see Michelle and Melania Trump, who has spent very few days in the White House since her husband was reelected, noting, “The current First Lady has completely disappeared from the public eye. People need to mind their business. Most folks aren’t used to seeing Black couples in a healthy marriage where boundaries are respected.”
In her latest interview, Michelle also reflected on how motherhood and her role as first lady required personal sacrifices that shaped her approach to ambition.
She has consistently pushed back against the narrative, previously stating that if marital problems existed, they wouldn’t be hidden.
As the Obamas navigate their post-White House years, Michelle’s message remains clear: their marriage will be defined by their own terms, not public expectations.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Coordinate Funky Collegiate Looks for Dior's Paris Show

The royal couple of Paris Fashion Week has arrived.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky made their entrance at the Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2026 this morning in coordinating funky, patterned looks.
Rihanna once again proved she is the queen of maternity style in a crisp white button-up layered under a pastel-green vest that was cinched with a single button—her growing baby bump creating the sweetest shrunken silhouette.
She added another layer to the top via a black flower-embroidered cape with a silky blue and orange pattern on the inside, and finished the look with baggy gray pants and alien-esque shades with yellow-tinted lenses. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Rihanna look without layers of jewelry, and this time, the Fenty Beauty founder added on strings of chunky pearl necklaces.
Rocky went more cool and collegiate with his fit, though still coordinating his color scheme with Rihanna’s. The rapper wore a sky-blue button-up shirt accessorized with a neon-green, blue, and red tie, and styled with classic blue jeans. He also carried a furry little beige purse seemingly made up of bunches of tassels.
The couple, who is expecting their third child together, joined a starry list of VIPs at the fashion house’s runway show. Sabrina Carpenter arrived in her own version of Dior’s New Look, Donatella Versace was classic in a black dress and sky-high platforms, and Pharrell went casual in a sweatshirt, shorts, and a baseball cap.
