#FASHIONFAB: ICONIC SUPERMODEL Iman, 70, makes head-turning rare appearance on American Ballet Theatre Gala red carpet

Supermodel Iman was the belle of the ball at the American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala on Wednesday night, as she walked the red carpet in a rare public appearance. Iman, who was married to David Bowie for 23 years until his death in 2016, looked dazzling in a gown that showcased her lithe figure, featuring a structured, off-the-shoulder neckline and a sculptural, layered skirt with architectural folds. The gown was made from a lustrous, silvery-blue satin fabric that shone under the lights and featured intricate red floral embroidery cascading down the front.
Iman accessorized with a diamond bracelet and delicate diamond earrings, and wore her glossy tresses in a side-parted bob with glamorous curls. The 70-year-old came to support ballerina Misty Copeland, who announced her retirement from the American Ballet Theatre in October after becoming the first African American principal dancer at the company.
The model rarely appears at awards shows and industry events, following the death of her beloved husband and music legend David Bowie, who passed away in 2016 after a battle with liver cancer.

#RHOP: Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon Break Silence on the Arrest of ‘RHOP’ Castmate Wendy Osefo
The Real Housewives of Potomac stars Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon have broken their silence on castmate Wendy Osefo and her husband Eddie Osefo’s arrests.
“I am highly shocked, surprised, and disappointed by these charges,” Dixon, 46, said on the Monday, October 27, episode of their “Reasonably Shady” podcast.
“I’m so disappointed,” Bryant, 55, responded in agreement.
While Dixon pointed out that “you’re innocent until proven guilty,” she added, “If everything in these charging documents is true, I’m highly disappointed, and then I just have so many questions, like, ‘Why?’”
Bryant said she felt “sad” for Eddie and Wendy’s children, Karter, 12, Kruz, 10 and Kamrynn, 6. She also wondered why Eddie and Wendy would risk their freedom over “materialistic” things, although Dixon wondered aloud what other alternative motive the pair could have had for their alleged actions.
“‘Cause it was highly intentional, highly planned, not well thought out, but thought out,” she continued. “I saw a clip where she was kind of talking about how well [Eddie’s cannabis business] Happy Eddie is doing, so it makes me think, ‘OK, well, was that an exaggeration? Was that not the truth?’ I don’t know, but it’s also like, why? More why questions. Why did they think they could get away with this?”
Us Weekly confirmed that Wendy, 41, and her husband, also 41, were indicted by a grand jury on October 9 on charges of insurance fraud, conspiracy insurance fraud and false statement to a police officer stemming from an alleged April 2024 burglary. The couple claimed that several items had been stolen from their home and filed insurance claims, but police raided their home upon their arrests and reportedly found at least 15 of the items the pair claimed were missing.
“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits,” a rep for Wendy and Eddie told Us following their release after they each posted $50,000 on October 10. “They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues. The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”
Wendy later claimed to be the victim of an “illegal” arrest and demanded that the charges against her be dismissed due to “defects in the charging document” in court documents filed by her lawyer on October 17 and obtained by Us. She also demanded that all evidence be “suppressed because of an unlawful search or seizure” and for all wire and verbal communications to be “suppressed because of an unlawful interception.”
“The motions that were filed by our legal team are standard motions that are filed in every criminal case in Maryland,” the reality star’s legal team told Us. “These motions are intended to prompt prosecutors to produce evidence pursuant to the Maryland Rules. It is routine to file these motions at the outset of every case to preserve evidence and assert our clients’ rights, though not every component is applicable to every case.”
Wendy broke her silence on her and Eddie’s arrests two days after the filing, taking to Instagram with a message about faith.
“And through it all, GOD remains faithful,” she wrote. “Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful🙏🏾.Tune into @bravotv tonight for a new episode of #RHOP.”

#NewMusic from Leon Thomas Releases New EP “Pholks”

GRAMMY-winning artist, songwriter, and producer Leon Thomas continues his evolution as an R&B rockstar with the release of his new EP, “PHOLKS”, available everywhere today via EZMNY Records/Motown.
The seven-track project is an exhilarating departure that fuses Thomas’s foundation in R&B and Soul with the vibrant energy of funk, psychedelic rock, and live instrumentation. Described by Thomas as a “love letter to beautiful chaos,” PHOLKS is an ambitious collection that prioritizes raw, experimental creativity over convention, solidifying his unique position in the contemporary music landscape.
Following the success of his breakout single “MUTT,” PHOLKS expands Thomas’s creative universe. The EP takes inspiration from Black rock legends like Jimi Hendrix and the effortless mastery of icons like Prince, channeling their spontaneity into a futuristic sound.
The project is led by the driving single “Just How You Are,” an instant dance-floor anthem, and features the nostalgic, ’70s-tinged focus track “My Muse.” The EP includes one powerhouse collaboration, closing out the collection with “Lone Wolf” featuring 4batz.
PHOLKS arrives just as Thomas is set to embark on his massive, sold-out Mutts Don’t Heel World Tour, which kicks off on October 30. The energy and instrumental focus of this EP were crafted with the stage in mind, promising a dynamic live performance for fans across North America, the U.K., Europe, and Australia.
Leon Thomas continues to prove that he is more than just the pen behind hits for other stars (Drake, SZA, Ariana Grande); he is an innovator defining the next era of groove-first, emotionally complex R&B.

#HipHopNews: Hip-Hop Mourns The Passing Of Freestyle Fellowship Rapper P.E.A.C.E.
Hip-Hop fans are gathered in mourning the loss of a pioneering rapper from Los Angeles’ sprawling underground Hip-Hop scene. P.E.A.C.E., a member of Freestyle Fellowship, passed away over the weekend, and social media has been flooded with moving tributes.
Details are scant regarding the passing of P.E.A.C.E., but the official Instagram account for Freestyle Fellowship shouted out the rapper in a post sharing condolences.
“Rest well brother P.E.A.C.E [flying angels emojis]. You had a great heart and you were authentic. One of West coast Hiphop royal treasures. You will be surely missed my friend,” read the caption of the post with a photo of the rapper.
The artist born Mtulazaji Davis split time between Texas and Los Angeles, but mostly lived in California. According to his Wikipedia bio, Davis began rapping in high school in the 1980s and eventually crossed paths with his future Freestyle Fellowship cohort Myka 9 at the famed Good Life Cafe, where the city’s up-and-coming lyricists honed their skills in a weekly open-mic event.
In fact, filmmaker Ava DuVernay is a Good Life Cafe alum, who performed in the Figures of Speech duo with Jyant. DuVerny also directed the This Is The Life documentary about the open-mic event featuring many of the figures of the scene.
In 1991, Freestyle Fellowship released their debut album, To Whom It May Concern…, following that with 1993’s Innercity Griots, an album many fans consider a classic release.
Tributes from artists such as Evidence of Dilated Peoples fame, Blu, Sunspot Jonz, Exile, and Myka 9 have been cropping up. In addition, fans of Freestyle Fellowship are sharing their thoughts, including praising P.E.A.C.E. as one of the best “off the dome” freestyle rappers to ever exist.
Our deepest condolences and respect to the Davis family and all who knew and loved Mtulazaji Davis.

Amazon to announce largest layoffs in company history, source says

Amazon will begin a fresh round of job cuts beginning Tuesday, CNBC has learned.
The layoffs will amount to the largest cuts to Amazon’s corporate workforce in the company’s history, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The company conducted rolling layoffs across the company since 2022, which has resulted in more than 27,000 employees being let go.
The layoffs will amount to the largest cuts to Amazon’s corporate workforce in the company’s history, spanning almost every business, according to a person familiar with the matter, who asked not to be named because the details are confidential.
Amazon is expected to begin informing employees of the layoffs via email Tuesday morning, the person said.
The company plans to lay off as many as 30,000 staffers across its corporate workforce, according to Reuters, which first reported the news.
Amazon declined to comment. Amazon is the nation’s second-largest private employer, with more than 1.54 million staffers globally as of the end of the second quarter. That figure is primarily made up of its warehouse workforce. It has roughly 350,000 corporate employees.
The planned layoffs would also represent the biggest job cuts across the tech industry since at least 2020, according to Layoffs.fyi. As of Monday, more than 200 tech companies have laid off approximately 98,000 employees since the start of the year, according to the site, which monitors job cuts in the tech sector.
The steepest year for job cuts in tech came in 2023, as the industry reckoned with soaring inflation and rising interest rates. Close to 1,200 tech companies slashed over 260,000 jobs, the site said.
Over the past year, companies across industries including tech, banking, auto and retail have also pointed to the rise of generative AI as a force that’s likely to or already changing size of their workforces.
Amazon has conducted rolling layoffs across the company since 2022, which has resulted in more than 27,000 employees being let go. Job reductions have continued this year, though at a smaller scale. Amazon’s cloud, stores, communications and devices divisions have been hit with layoffs in recent months.
The layoffs are part of a broader cost-cutting campaign by Amazon CEO Andy Jassy that began during the Covid-19 pandemic. Jassy has also moved to simplify Amazon’s corporate structure by having fewer managers in order to “remove layers and flatten organizations.”
Jassy said in June that Amazon’s workforce could shrink further as a result of the company embracing generative AI, telling staffers that the company “will need fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today, and more people doing other types of jobs.”
“It’s hard to know exactly where this nets out over time, but in the next few years, we expect that this will reduce our total corporate workforce,” Jassy said in the June memo to staff.

Kelis Shares Why She Moved Her Family To Kenya And Built A New Life On A Farm
Kelis is embracing a new chapter far from Hollywood. The Grammy-nominated artist and entrepreneur has revealed that she and her three children have relocated to Kenya, where they now live on a farm surrounded by nature, animals, and a slower pace of life.
Here are some of the posts from TikTok in two parts although she originally posted on the Gram.
PART1: PROS – My Honest 2cents as an American living in Kenya it’s one thing to come for vacation but it’s different when you live here and experience everyday life I’m from HARLEM so I’m still a city girl who loves the country 👩🏾🌾❤️✨ KENYA is the perfect balance for me. #nairobi #kenya #kenyan #eastafrica #africa
The “Milkshake” singer opened up about her move to East Africa, sharing both the joys and challenges that come with building a home abroad. Kelis said she fell in love with Kenya’s stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and rapidly developing infrastructure, explaining that it offered her a perfect balance of modern convenience and natural serenity.
PART2: CONS – Kenya 🇰🇪 NAIROBI is a hustling and bustling city these are the things no one told me ‼️ this is NOT a comparison to America, these are just observations that can help the diaspora ✊🏾 Kenya is still one of the BEST COUNTRIES on the continent in my opinion ❤️ this is my Honest 2cents as an American living here. #kenya #KENYAN #africa #eastafrica #nairobi
“You see it’s progressing,” she said. “There’s just a lot happening all the time, so it just makes it livable.” She added that the country has everything from Amazon deliveries to Uber and Uber Eats, making the transition smoother than some might expect.
Kelis also praised Kenya’s people for their warmth and kindness. “The people here are really friendly, they’re just good people,” she said. Still, she kept things real about the realities of rural living, noting that rough terrain, flooding from poor drainage, and limited waste management can make things difficult at times. “If you want to live here like an American, it’s definitely going to cost you triple the price,” she added, pointing out the higher expenses tied to maintaining a Western lifestyle abroad.
Even with the hurdles, Kelis says the move has been one of the best decisions she’s ever made. Calling Kenya “one of the best countries on the continent,” she explained that the experience has deepened her appreciation for sustainability, self-sufficiency, and the beauty of a grounded life.
Now raising her 16-year-old son Knight—whom she shares with rapper Nas—along with her and late husband Mike Mora’s children, Shepherd, 9, and Galilee, 5, Kelis says her focus is on peace, purpose, and creating a home rooted in connection to the land.
For the singer, the move isn’t about escaping fame—it’s about redefining fulfillment. “It’s not perfect,” she said, “but it’s real, and it feels like home.”

Freddie Freeman’s walk-off homer lifts Dodgers to 18-inning win in World Series Game 3
It was the joint longest postseason game in Major League Baseball history in terms of innings, with no runs scored between the seventh and 18th innings.
Japanese superstar Shohei Ohtani also hit two home runs, but the night belonged to first baseman Freeman, who won the Most Valuable Player award as the Dodgers won last year's World Series.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts had apologised earlier on Monday after complaining about travel delays while returning from the opening two games in Canada, but was finally able to enjoy home comforts as his side won the first of three games at Dodger Stadium.
Teoscar Hernandez, who had struck out in all four of his at-bats in game two, opened the scoring for the Dodgers with a home run in the second inning.
Ohtani doubled the lead with a solo shot of his own in the third, before the Blue Jays' bats woke up in the top of the fourth inning.
A fielding error by second baseman Tommy Edman allowed the Canadians to put two men on base, Alejandro Kirk lifted his second homer of the series over the centre-field fence for a 3-2 lead, before Andres Gimenez's sacrifice fly made it 4-2.
Blue Jays starter Max Scherzer became the first man to pitch for four different teams in the World Series, but he departed in the fifth inning and that was the cue for the Dodgers to level the scores.
Ohtani's third hit of the night scored Enrique Hernandez, before Freeman drove in Ohtani from second base for 4-4.
The pendulum swung back towards Toronto in the seventh when Bo Bichette's line drive to the right field corner allowed Vladimir Guerrero Jr to score from first base, but Ohtani's second homer of the night tied the scores again at 5-5, and the game remained deadlocked after that.
Both sides stranded multiple baserunners on several occasions, and neither was able to conjure a run with the bases loaded.
Ohtani was intentionally walked four times and was caught stealing second base, while Toronto pinch-runner Davis Schneider was thrown out at home plate in the 10th, and veteran Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw made a cameo appearance from the bullpen in his final series before retirement.
Eventually, with both sides running out of bench players, Freeman lifted reliever Brendon Little over centre field to win it.
The series continues with game four on Tuesday, again at Dodger Stadium, when Ohtani will be the starting pitcher.

Jay-Z Claps Back At MAGA’s Attempt To Cancel Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Dreams
Jay-Z stands firm behind Bad Bunny‘s selection for Super Bowl LX’s halftime show, as conservative critics and a viral petition demand the Puerto Rican superstar be replaced by country legend George Strait.
The Roc Nation mogul was approached by TMZ in New York City on Monday and asked about the mounting criticism surrounding Bad Bunny’s upcoming Super Bowl LX performance in New Orleans.
When pressed about the hate directed at the reggaeton star, Jay-Z delivered a pointed response.
“They love him, don’t let them fool you,” Jay-Z said, defending Bad Bunny’s popularity in America despite vocal opposition from some quarters.
The billionaire Hip-Hop executive’s comments come as a Change.org petition calling for Bad Bunny’s replacement with George Strait has exploded to over 95,000 signatures.
The petition, started by user Kar Shell, argues the Super Bowl halftime show should “unite our country, honor American culture, and remain family-friendly.”
The petition explicitly targets Bad Bunny’s “drag performances and style” as “the opposite of what families expect on football’s biggest stage.”
It promotes George Strait as embodying “unity, tradition, and the timeless American music that truly deserves the 2026 Super Bowl spotlight.”
President-elect Donald Trump also weighed in on the controversy, claiming he had never heard of Bad Bunny during an interview. The comments added fuel to conservative criticism of the NFL’s choice.
The petition organizer later clarified their stance in an update, stating the goal is to “keep the Super Bowl family-friendly” and “keep politics out of the halftime show.”
They argued that Bad Bunny’s previous comments about audiences needing to learn different languages alienated English-speaking fans.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has already confirmed the league will not replace Bad Bunny despite the backlash.
Jay-Z’s Roc Nation has partnered with the NFL since 2019 to select Super Bowl halftime performers.
Bad Bunny recently won the “Best Artist of the 21st Century” trophy at the Latin Billboard Awards, cementing his status as one of music’s most prominent global stars.
The Puerto Rican artist has broken numerous streaming records and sold out massive stadium tours worldwide.
Super Bowl LX will take place on February 9, 2026, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Bad Bunny’s performance is expected to be one of the most-watched halftime shows in recent memory.

Samuel L. Jackson’s painful Tarantino rejection story

Samuel L. Jackson is now regarded as one of Hollywood’s most commanding and recognizable actors, but his path to working with director Quentin Tarantino began with a disappointing rejection that could have derailed their entire collaboration. The actor recently opened up about auditioning for Tarantino’s directorial debut and not making the cut, a setback that ultimately led to something far greater.
Born on December 21, 1948, in Washington D.C., Jackson grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee before pursuing his passion for drama at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. His early years in the entertainment industry were spent building experience through stage performances and small television appearances. The work was steady but unglamorous, requiring patience and persistence as he waited for his big break.
Jackson’s reputation gradually grew throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s as he took on increasingly substantial roles. His performances in Jungle Fever in 1991 and Malcolm X in 1992 demonstrated his range and intensity, earning critical praise that helped establish him as a serious talent worth watching. However, he had not yet achieved the widespread recognition that would later define his career.
During this period of steady but modest progress, Jackson auditioned for Reservoir Dogs, the 1992 crime thriller that marked Tarantino’s arrival as a major filmmaking voice. The audition took place with both Tarantino and producer Lawrence Bender present, and Jackson later described the experience in unflattering terms during an interview with GQ. He characterized the audition as a difficult experience and ultimately did not receive an offer to join the film’s ensemble cast.
The rejection could have ended any potential relationship between the actor and director before it truly began. Many performers might have written off the failed audition as a missed opportunity and moved on without looking back. However, the story took an unexpected turn that would change both of their careers forever.
Just two weeks after Reservoir Dogs premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, Jackson received a phone call from Tarantino. The director had not forgotten the actor from that unsuccessful audition. Despite not casting him in Reservoir Dogs, Tarantino saw something in Jackson’s performance that stayed with him. He had been developing his next project and believed he had found the perfect actor for a key role.
Tarantino sent Jackson the script for Pulp Fiction, introducing him to the character of Jules Winnfield. The philosophical hitman with memorable dialogue and an unforgettable presence would become one of the most iconic characters in cinema history. Jackson’s portrayal brought intensity, humor and depth to Jules, creating moments that audiences still quote and reference decades later.
The performance earned Jackson an Academy Award nomination and transformed him from a respected character actor into an A-list star. Pulp Fiction’s massive success in 1994 opened doors that had previously remained closed, leading to prominent roles in major Hollywood productions.
Following his Pulp Fiction breakthrough, Jackson’s career reached extraordinary heights. He appeared in Die Hard with a Vengeance in 1995, showcasing his ability to anchor big-budget action films. His role in A Time to Kill in 1996 demonstrated his dramatic range, while his casting as Jedi Master Mace Windu in the Star Wars prequel trilogy from 1999 to 2005 introduced him to an entirely new generation of fans.
Jackson continued to display remarkable versatility across genres. He voiced the superhero Frozone in The Incredibles in 2004, embraced the absurdity of Snakes on a Plane in 2006, and became a cornerstone of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Nick Fury. His consistent presence in successful films has made him one of the highest-grossing actors of all time, with his movies collectively earning billions of dollars at the box office.
Jackson’s journey from Reservoir Dogs rejection to Hollywood legend illustrates the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry. What initially seemed like a closed door actually led to an even better opportunity. His willingness to continue pursuing his craft despite setbacks, combined with Tarantino’s ability to recognize talent even when a particular project was not the right fit, created one of cinema’s most memorable collaborations.
The actor’s story serves as an important reminder that initial failures do not determine ultimate outcomes. Through talent, determination and the ability to seize opportunities when they arise, Jackson transformed a moment of rejection into a legendary career that has left an indelible mark on film history and inspired countless performers facing their own struggles.

Wanda Sykes Says Her 2022 Oscars Hosting Gig Was “Overshadowed” by Will Smith’s Slap
Wanda Sykes is reflecting on her experience hosting the 2022 Oscars — the same year Will Smith slapped Chris Rock live on stage — and says the infamous moment completely “overshadowed” what should have been a career highlight.
In a new interview w/ Variety, the comedian admitted that when people bring up that night, they rarely remember she was one of the evening’s hosts.
“It got overshadowed,” Sykes said. “People talk to me about that night without even mentioning, ‘Oh yeah, you hosted, right?’ Like I was in the audience or at home, watching TV. But I was there.”
Sykes, who co-hosted alongside Regina Hall and Amy Schumer, said that despite the chaos, Will Smith did reach out to her following his public apology to Chris Rock. However, she explained their conversation didn’t go far because she wasn’t feeling well.
“He reached out,” she shared, adding that she had “a bad cold” at the time and only replied via text.
The 2022 Oscars made global headlines when Smith walked onstage and slapped Rock after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. Smith later won Best Actor that same night for King Richard and has since apologized multiple times.
Sykes, known for her sharp wit and decades-long comedy career, has previously said the incident left her “traumatized” — and now, she’s making it clear that the night she should’ve been celebrated as a host still feels like it wasn’t fully hers

Former NFL Star Adrian Peterson Arrested in Texas on DWI and G*n Charges – His 2nd This Year

Former NFL running back Adrian Peterson is currently being held in a Texas jail following his arrest on Sunday morning in the Houston suburb of Sugar Land, where he is charged with driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
According to records from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, Peterson remained behind bars Monday after the Sunday incident.
This marks his second DWI arrest in 2025. In April, he was stopped in Minnesota for allegedly driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone and registered a blood-alcohol content of .14 — nearly twice the legal limit in that state.
Peterson, 40, enjoyed an outstanding career — including a league MVP award in 2012 and several rushing records — before retiring after 15 seasons, the bulk spent with the Minnesota Vikings.
The arrest raises fresh concerns given his past legal entanglements. Officials have not yet released full details of the incident in Sugar Land.

Kelsey Grammer is saying cheers to a new addition. The Frasier alum, 70, shared that his wife Kayte Walsh, 46, gave birth to their fourth baby together, a son named Christopher.
"It was like three days ago," Kelsey told cohosts Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong during the Oct. 27 episode of their Pod Meets World podcast. "Christopher's just joined the family."
And the actor—who also shares kids Faith, 12, Gabriel, 10, and James, 8, with Kayte—emphasized that his newborn is becoming part of a big blended fam. After all, Kelsey is also dad to Spencer, 41, whom he shares with ex Doreen Alderman, and Greer, 33, with ex Barrie Buckner, as well as Mason, 23, and Jude, 20, who he shares with ex Camille Grammer.
As he put it, "It just became eight kids."
Kayte—who married Kelsey in 2011—first revealed that she was expecting back in June, when she put her growing bump on display during an outing in London.
And Kelsey was undoubtedly thrilled about expanding their family, as he previously shared that fatherhood has been one of the most fulfilling roles he's played in life.
“My children—my young children, older children—the happiest I ever am is if they’re all in the same room together,” the Emmy winner told Variety in 2024. “My work has allowed me to be able to do that. I’ve been given this great experience. It’s been painful and challenging and hard and tragic—all those things. But boy, it’s a great life. And I want to pass that on to them.”
Indeed, Kelsey has already passed some of what he's learned over the years down to his kids. In fact, the Cheers actor said that several of his offspring have opted to pursue careers in the entertainment industry just like their dad.
“Kayte and I were talking about how it’s really something that a child would follow in their father’s footsteps,” he said. “To think that all my kids, at least the ones that have a hand in the air, are ready to take responsibility for their lives, are all drawn to this industry. [Kayte] said, ‘That’s something to be proud of.’”

John Dickerson Leaving CBS News After 16 Years

John Dickerson is ready to face his next chapter. The CBS Evening News co-anchor announced his impending exit from CBS News, nearly two decades after joining the organization.
“At the end of this year, I will leave CBS, sixteen years after I sat in as Face the Nation anchor for the first time,” he wrote in a post on Instagram Oct. 27. “I am extremely grateful for all that CBS gave me—the work, the audience’s attention and the honor of being a part of the network’s history.”
Dickerson, 57, also shared a series of photos featuring highlights from his tenure at the network as he recognized the contributions of his peers.
“I am grateful for my dear colleagues who’ve made me a better journalist and a better human,” he continued. “I will miss you.”
CBS News president Tom Cibrowski also addressed Dickerson’s departure, noting that the TV personality “epitomized the very best of journalism.”
“After 16 years at CBS News and contributing to every program here, John Dickerson has decided to step away at the end of the year,” Cibrowski said in a statement to People. “He will co-anchor the CBS Evening News until the holidays, when he will say farewell. Until then, we’ll have plenty of time to thank him for his work here and honor his contributions to our success.”
Dickerson made his Face the Nation debut in 2009, later hosting the weekly news program full-time from 2015 to 2018. During his tenure at CBS News—which recently named Bari Weiss as editor in chief—he also held roles at 60 Minutes and CBS This Morning before assuming his current post at CBS Evening News alongside co-anchor Maurice DuBois.
In light of Dickerson’s announcement, many of his fellow CBS personalities shared their well-wishes including Norah O’Donnell, who preceded him and DuBois in the CBS Evening News anchor chair.
“A great friend and co-anchor in the mornings, primetime and on many election nights,” she wrote in a comment on Dickerson’s Instagram post. “Adore you and grateful for you.”

Jonathan Groff Says He Reconnected with Ex Gavin Creel Before His Death, Reveals Their Final Text Exchange

Jonathan Groff is opening up about reconnecting with his ex-boyfriend Gavin Creel before he tragically passed away last year.
The Tony-winning actor shared in a June 2024 interview that while he was dating Gavin in 2009, he was inspired by the actor to come out as gay publicly.
Jonathan told The New Yorker at the time, “Then I fell in love with Gavin Creel. We were doing this march on Washington. The woman from Broadway.com was interviewing me, and she was, like, ‘Who do you represent at this march?’ And I froze. She saw me get tight and was, like, ‘Oh, never mind.’ I remember looking at Gavin, who was holding a bullhorn, directing people into the march. And I was, like, I f–king love him so much. I’m coming out. I’m at the f–king gay marriage-equality march! I walked back over to her and said, ‘I’m here because I’m gay. And that’s what I’m sharing with you.’ She said, ‘On the record?’ And I said, ‘Yes, on the record.’ I hadn’t planned it. It just happened that way.”
The photo seen here was taken of Jonathan and Gavin at that exact march!
Jonathan spoke with the same interviewer at The New Yorker Festival this past weekend and shared how that interview helped reconnect him with Gavin.
“We had dated 15 years ago. I shared in the interview how he’d changed my life and how that relationship altered the course of my existence,” Jonathan said (via Vulture).
Gavin texted Jonathan after the interview was released and told him, “I think I know now that I mean as much to you as you mean to me.”
Jonathan said that he and Gavin continued to talk “all the way up until the Tonys that year.”
The last time that Jonathan heard from Gavin was after he won the Tony for Best Actor for his performance in the musical Merrily We Roll Along.
“He texted me congratulations,” Jonathan said. “And that was the last interaction we ever had.”
Three months later, Gavin died from cancer at the age of 48.

Denzel Washington Confronts Fan After Being Accused of Lying About His Sobriety
Denzel Washington confronted an autograph seeker after being accused of lying about his sobriety.
A video uploaded on Monday (Oct. 27) by New York City-based autograph seeker GTVReality shows a tense exchange with the two-time Oscar winner that appears to have taken place around August 2025
The confrontation began when Washington, from the inside of a car, asked GTV to “get away” from him.
“It's better when you're drinking, Mr. Washington,” the autograph seeker responded.
"I haven't had a drink in about 15 years,” Washington responded, leading GTV to respond, “That's a good lie.”
He then tried to lighten the exchange by telling the actor, "I saw you in Malcolm X, it's my best movie. I was watching it with my mom's growing up, man."
Washington then shifted the conversation, asking, "Do you believe in God?"
GTV replied, "Of course I believe in God. That's why I wake up every morning and come out and hustle, not hurt nobody and do dumb shit—do n***a shit that n****s do in the hood every day, all day. I just get autographs, Mr. Washington. Seriously."
After Washington's car began to move forward in traffic, GTV approached again, pleading for an autograph and saying, "Takes seconds to help a brother out."
When Washington motioned him over, he held up his phone to show an image of a pair of eyes against clouds and asked, "Who do you think it is?" GTV answered, "It's God."
Washington then said, "Who do you think took that picture?" and went on to describe an experience with prayer: "I was praying to God. I couldn't see your face. Everybody says they can see your face. I heard, ‘Turn to your left.’ That's what I saw.”
"Listen to me," Washington continued. "You can play games with me," to which GTV interrupted with, "But you can't play with Him." Washington ended the exchange with a firm warning: "Be careful when you talk to me about God."
Washington's claim in the clip that he has been sober for about 15 years comes less than a year after he told Esquire in November 2024 that he was celebrating 10 years of sobriety.
In that interview, Washington said he stopped drinking at age 60 after realizing he had been consuming wine daily for over a decade, often finishing two expensive bottles a day.
“I’ve done a lot of damage to the body. We’ll see. I’ve been clean,” Washington said at the time. “Be 10 years this December. I stopped at 60 and I haven’t had a thimble’s worth since. Things are opening up for me now — like being 70. It’s real. And it’s okay. This is the last chapter — if I get another 30, what do I want to do? My mother made it to 97.”

Minnesota Man Arrested After Allegedly Offering $45K Bounty on U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi
Federal authorities say a Minnesota man found out the hard way that TikTok isn’t the place to post threats—especially not against one of the country’s top law enforcement officials.
29-year-old Tyler Maxon Avalos of St. Paul was arrested after allegedly posting a disturbing “Wanted” graphic of U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi with a red sniper scope over her face, offering $45,000 “dead or alive (preferably dead).”
According to court filings, Avalos uploaded the image on TikTok with the caption, “When they don’t serve us then what?”The post immediately sparked alarm, prompting the FBI to launch a full-scale investigation.
Agents quickly tracked down Avalos using online data and IP logs. When they dug deeper, they uncovered a history of violent crimes, including felony stalking and domestic assault convictions in both Minnesota and Florida.
Authorities say the threat was taken seriously because of Bondi’s high-profile role as the nation’s top law enforcement officer. Avalos was charged with interstate transmission of threats to injure or kill, a federal crime.
Despite the gravity of the charge, Avalos was reportedly released pending trial. The FBI confirmed that the investigation remains active and that Avalos’ online activity continues to be reviewed.
