#RHOA: Why Soulja Boy Is Apologizing To 'RHOA' Star Kandi Burruss After Threatening To Sue Her In Viral Rant
Soulja Boy is clearing the air with "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss.
After threatening to sue the Grammy-winning songwriter in an explosive viral rant, Soulja Boy shared a post reflecting on his statements and apologizing to the TV personality.
As previously reported by The Blast, Soulja Boy's former videographer, Charlie Rocket, caused waves online by making shocking allegations against the "Turn My Swag On" rapper during an episode of Burruss's podcast, "Burruss Banter."
"I want to preface: I'm very grateful for Soulja Boy giving me an opportunity, but I'm grateful for the good and the bad because at this particular time in Las Vegas, I had actually not eaten in three days," Rocket said.
As he went on, Rocket said he met Soulja Boy in his hotel room after Soulja Boy ordered a large amount of room service. "When he was done, there was so much food left over. I was excited. I saw some chicken fingers and I was like, 'Can I can I get those?' 'Cuz I'm hungry, I'm really, really hungry," Rocket shared.
While Rocket shared that Soulja Boy was on board with letting him have the leftovers, he claimed the rapper spat over the food beforehand.
Rocket's comments began circulating immediately, prompting a passionate response from Soulja Boy, who denied the claims and took shots at him and Burruss.
"Somebody tag this b-tch, Kandi, too," he said in the livestream video. "B-tch, why you got this fat a-- [redacted] on your platform talking? I'm gonna sue the f-ck out you and this white n—a.. I'm about to sue the f-ck out Kandi."
Soulja's biggest issue, however, was Rocket's claim that he contaminated someone else's food.
"You're on a motherf-cking internet talking about I spat on your food? You's a b-tch, p-ssy a-- n—a," Soulja Boy said. "Who the f-ck on the road with somebody and don't eat for three days? Kandi, you too, you little baldheaded b-tch. ... Send me the motherf-cking address. Let me pull up, tell my side of the story."
In another viral livestream a few days later, Soulja Boy had a change of heart and offered what appeared to be a heartfelt apology to Burruss.
"I'm sending out an apology to Kandi, man, you know what I'm saying?" he said in a clip shared to X, formerly Twitter. "You know I be overreacting sometimes. I just be seeing stuff on the internet ... But much love to Kandi, if you could find it in your heart to accept my apology."
"I just be getting so mad … Folks lying on me and sh-t, but they're like, 'Man, he should've got mad at the dude, you shouldn't got mad at her,'" he added.
The two music superstars even seemed to squash the beef in person, as pictures and videos of them on the set of Burruss' "Speak On It" podcast were shared online.
Online, fans shared their reactions to Soulja Boy's apology and Burruss making space for him to tell his story on her show.
"Y'all already know Kandi is about her money [and] drama sells! She is not bothered by his stupid rant! Look at us all tuned in/aware of the situation. It's working," a user wrote.
"Kandi the type of woman that has a heart of gold and not a bad bone in her body," another user shared.
Other Users Share Their Thoughts On Soulja's Statements
Over on Instagram, more users weighed in on Soulja Boy's follow-up video addressed to Burruss, suggesting there was a specific reason for the shift in his demeanor.
"He only apologized because of the pull Kandi has in ATL — he not slick," someone commented.
"Kandi sent them goons from College Park," another added.
"He apologized because the hood don't play about Kandi," a third wrote. "Idk who he thought he was talking to [for real]."
A fourth user joked that Burruss' good friend, rapper T.I., could have called Soulja Boy and instructed him to retract his comments.

#HipHopNews: Cardi B Says Her Third Album Is Coming In “Less Than A Year":
Cardi B revealed that her third album is already in the works and will be released in less than a year.
She confirmed there will be no deluxe version for AM I THE DRAMA?
The “Little Miss Drama Tour” begins in February 2026, which is expected to be after the birth of her fourth child.
Bardi Gang waited seven long years for AM I THE DRAMA?, but they, fortunately, may not have to wait too long for Cardi B’s third album. On Monday (Oct. 27), the "Outside" rapper revealed she’s already planning her next full-length release, announcing that her fans will get it in “less than a year.”
"I see a lot of people asking for a deluxe … or asking to do a remix album like Charli [xcx] or something, and unfortunately, I am not doing none of that,” she said on X Spaces, per Complex. "What I gave y'all is what y'all [are] getting."
It’s worth mentioning that AM I THE DRAMA? arrived with 23 songs, which is already longer than her studio debut. While it did include earlier hits like “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion and “Up,” she introduced two new songs in her project's bonus editions: “Don’t Do Too Much” and “ErrTime (Remix)” featuring Latto.
Luckily, Cardi isn’t leaving her fans hanging. Later in her X Spaces session, she confirmed, "However, I want to put out a project — another album — in less than a year, so I'm really planning on that. I want a new era. I kinda know what I want it to look like. It's gonna be different from AM I THE DRAMA?”
Of course, given how long her sophomore album took to arrive, fans may want to take the proposed timeline with a grain of salt. That said, Cardi has previously teased what her follow-up to AM I THE DRAMA? could sound like.
In 2024, the “I Like It” hitmaker ran an Instagram Story poll asking followers if they’d want a Spanish-language project. Seventy-nine percent of nearly 480,000 voters said yes, to which she replied, “OK, AFTER MY ENGLISH ALBUM.” As for when that might materialize, only time will tell.
What is confirmed, however, is that Cardi will hit the road in February 2026 for her “Little Miss Drama Tour,” following the birth of her fourth child. The new baby will be the rapper’s first with NFL star Stefon Diggs.

Sean Grayson found guilty of second Degree murder in the death of Sonya Massey

Sean Grayson, a former Illinois sheriff’s deputy, was convicted Wednesday of second-degree murder in the 2024 death of Sonya Massey, a Black mother of two who had called 911 about a possible prowler.
Grayson was charged with first-degree murder, but jury instructions included the option to convict him of the lesser charge of second-degree murder.
Jurors deliberated for almost 12 hours after closing arguments ended late Tuesday morning. Grayson’s family cried and held hands as the verdict was read.
Outside the courthouse, protesters celebrated the guilty verdict and chanted, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus."
Attorneys Ben Crump and Antonio Romanucci, who represented her family in a $10 million civil settlement, said that they believe Grayson’s actions warranted a first-degree murder conviction but that it was "still a measure of justice for Sonya Massey."
"I'm fueled by rage right now," Sontae Massey, one of Sonya's cousins, said outside the courthouse. "If you get an officer who says he’s going to shoot you in the face, and then he shoots you in the face, and you only get second-degree murder?"
Former federal prosecutor Mark Chutkow said the defense made a "strategic decision" to include the second-degree murder charge.
"The prosecution likely felt confident about their case and was willing to go for an all-or-nothing verdict. But the defense did not want to take that chance, so they advocated for a lesser included charge," he told NBC News.
Grayson faces four to 20 years in prison for second-degree murder. Under state law, he would most likely be eligible to get day-for-day credit for good behavior in prison, meaning he could end up serving only half his sentence.
Massey's father, James Wilburn, said he hopes the judge gives Grayson the maximum sentence.
“He showed no remorse. He was so cocky throughout this whole trial,” until he was convicted, Wilburn said. “Yeah, that knocked the smirk off.”
Sangamon County State’s Attorney John Milhiser during his closing arguments tells the jury “here is this giant dangerous pot” that Massey was holding before she was shot in her own kitchen.Cliff Questel
Grayson was charged in July 2024 in the fatal shooting of Massey, who had called authorities over concerns about the possible prowler outside her Springfield home. Body camera video shows the moments she was shot and killed in her kitchen during a confrontation over a pot of boiling water.
Her death led to calls for justice and protests across the country and reignited scrutiny about law enforcement shootings of Black people in their homes. Grayson is white.
"There's a difference in this country when you have my skin color and Grayson's skin color. We need serious justice, not a miscarriage of justice that happened here in Peoria," Wilburn said.
In Illinois, the Sonya Massey Act was signed in August, requiring stricter background checks in police hiring.
Last week, Grayson's former partner, Deputy Dawson Farley, testified that he was not scared by any of Massey’s actions. He said he drew his weapon because he was "trying to back my partner."
In closing arguments, the defense pointed out that Farley amended his police report after Grayson was charged with first-degree murder, arguing Farley lied and changed his account.
The body camera video central to this case was played in the courtroom three times, showing Massey talking to the deputies and removing a pot of hot water from her stove shortly before the shooting.
On Monday, Grayson took the stand in his own defense, telling the court that he believed Massey was going to throw the boiling water on him after she said, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.
He testified that he took her remark as a threat and that that is why he drew his firearm. Grayson said he did not try to use his stun gun because he was not sure whether it would work because of her clothing.
"I didn’t want to take the chance of the Taser malfunctioning," he said.
Sangamon County First Assistant State’s Attorney Mary Beth Rodgers gives her closing arguments to the jury. She told jurors that Sean Grayson was angry he couldn’t control the situation leading up to the shooting, arguing it happened “not because Sonya [Massey] was in crisis — it’s because he snapped.”Cliff Questel
In closing arguments Tuesday, First Assistant State’s Attorney Mary Beth Rodgers said Massey made no sudden movements and complied "peacefully" with the order to drop the pot of water.
"'I’m sorry.' That is the last thing Sonya Massey said before the defendant murdered her, just like he said he would," she told the jury.
"He wants you to believe he was scared, but you don’t have to believe that, because it’s not true," Rodgers said.
Rodgers argued that Grayson did not get to claim self-defense justified his shooting because he provoked the use of force himself.
Defense attorney Daniel Fultz makes his closing arguments to jurors, telling them it was Sonya Massey who escalated the situation leading up to her shooting and Sean Grayson drew his weapon to gain her compliance.Cliff Questel
Daniel Fultz, Grayson’s attorney, said Massey did initially comply and put the pot down, but "she escalated the situation when she picked the pot back up, stood up, raised it over her head and began to throw it."
He argued that Grayson drew his weapon to gain Massey's compliance and said her death "was a tragedy, but it was not a crime."
"You are not here to decide whether or not Sean Grayson followed every single policy, every national best practice, every policing principle that experts believe he should have followed," he said in his closing argument. "That is not what we are doing in this criminal court today."
Fultz said Grayson believed his pistol was his only option, and he highlighted expert testimony that Grayson had to advance toward Massey to maintain a line of sight on her.
Fultz asked jurors not to let their emotions dictate the outcome of the case.
In Sangamon County State's Attorney John Milhiser's final closing argument to the jury, he argued that it was Grayson who let his emotions dictate what happened in Massey's kitchen.
"These were not the actions of a scared young police officer doing a dangerous job. These are the actions of a bully," Milhiser said. “If anyone was in crisis, it was him. He snapped.”
Family Matters Star Darius McCrary Released from Jail After Fugitive Arrest, Extradited to Michigan on Felony Warrant
Darius McCrary was released from jail in San Diego on Wednesday, Oct. 29 and is being extradited to Michigan, PEOPLE can exclusively confirm. He was arrested on Oct. 5 while crossing the border from Mexico into the United States due to an out-of-state felony warrant that stemmed from a missed court appearance
McCrary was previously denied bail while awaiting his extradition
Darius McCrary has been released from a San Diego jail for extradition. The Family Matters alum, 49, was extradited from California back to Michigan on Wednesday, Oct. 29, following his Oct. 5 "fugitive arrest" at the U.S.-Mexico border on an out-of-state felony warrant.
McCrary was being held in a San Diego jail for several weeks after a judge denied him bail while he waited for Michigan authorities to take him into custody.
At the time, the local ABC10 News reported that prosecutors stated inside the courtroom that McCrary's agent allegedly said he was in Tijuana looking at real estate when he was detained trying to cross back into the U.S. by Border Patrol. However, McCrary's public defender, who was appointed after the actor initially requested to represent himself, claimed he was there to work with a charity building houses.
Prosecutors further argued that McCrary — whose warrant was issued after he missed a court appearance for alleged unpaid child support — was a flight risk, and the judge agreed.
After his court appearance on Oct. 15, McCrary’s rep, Ann Barlow, told PEOPLE that McCrary was not a flight risk and had no ties to Tijuana. She claimed McCrary accidentally crossed into Mexico due to "a mix-up [about] where to meet his partner for the Esperanza program," where he volunteered to build homes for unhoused individuals.
Barlow also stated that McCrary plans to continue to fight his case in Michigan\
In the past, McCrary has been involved in other legal troubles, including his messy divorce battle with ex-wife Tammy Brawner regarding their 2017 filing.
The divorce was finalized in February 2019, and ordered McCrary to pay $1,366 per month in child support ($916 as a base amount, plus $415 in child-care costs), according to documents obtained by PEOPLE at the time.
Per that agreement, Brawner, a former Harlem Globetrotter, was granted full legal and physical custody of the former couple’s then-3-year-old daughter Zoey.
McCrary was also ordered to attend alcohol/drug abuse and batterers’ intervention classes within 12 months and was granted professionally-monitored visitation with Zoey every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. until he completed 10 visits. Restrictions would continue to lessen thereafter.
PEOPLE later reported in 2018 that Brawner alleged that McCrary “partially dislocated” Zoey’s arm, per court documents obtained by The Blast at the time.
Brawner reportedly told doctors that the incident occurred when McCrary was taking his daughter to the bathroom and “grabbed her arm.” McCrary reportedly denied that account, claiming he “grabbed one hand to lift her up and immediately grabbed the other.”
Zoey was allegedly diagnosed with Nursemaid’s elbow, a common elbow injury among young children and toddlers that occurs when a child’s elbow is pulled and one of the bones partially dislocates.
McCrary is best known for his role as Eddie Winslow on the hit '90s sitcom Family Matters, which he starred in from 1989-1998 alongside on-screen parents Reginald VelJohnson and Jo Marie Payton.

Alexandra Burke to play Queen of Funk in I’m Every Woman The Chaka Khan Musical

Singer Alexandra Burke will play her “dream role” as the Queen of Funk in the world premiere of I’m Every Woman The Chaka Khan Musical.
Burke, 37, who rose to fame after winning The X Factor in 2008, will portray the award-winning singer-songwriter in the new musical about her life.
Opening at the Peacock Theatre in London, the production will run from March 5 until 28 and tell the story of the artist behind the hit songs I’m Every Woman, Ain’t Nobody and Higher Love.
The production will retell Khan’s journey to stardom, exploring her passion for civil rights, fight against a toxic music industry, battle with addiction and the pressures she faced as a working mother.
Burke said: “Almost seventeen years ago, with my late mother by my side, I sang Chaka for my very first non-televised audition for The X Factor.
“To think that all these years later I’ve been given the opportunity to play the superstar that is Chaka Khan in the West End would have been simply unimaginable for me back then.
“Thank you mama for all your love and guidance as I was growing up, you are in my thoughts every day and I’ll be lovingly looking up at you every single show.
“This truly is a dream role for me, my first originating, and I’m still pinching myself wondering if I’m dreaming!
“Of course we know and love the classics I’m Every Woman, Ain’t Nobody and I Feel For You, but I encourage you to dive deep into her incredible solo and Rufus catalogue, it’s timeless and iconic just like the legend herself.”
Since winning The X Factor, after duetting with Beyonce, Burke has forged a successful career in music and theatre with three number one UK singles, including Hallelujah, Bad Boys and Start Without You, along with her debut album, Overcome, peaking at the top of the album charts.
Burke has also made her mark on the West End stage and starred in The Bodyguard, Sister Act, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chess, Chicago and the UK tour of The Addams Family.
In 2017 she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and made it to the final with professional partner Gorka Marquez.

Nia Long has plenty of stories from her decades in Hollywood, but one memory she shared this week stands out for its mix of humor and surprise—and it involves none other than the late, great Prince.
During her recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Monday, October 27, Long opened up about an encounter with the late music icon that she didn’t realize was happening until it was too late.
“I was at Roxbury back in the day and I had on my Kenneth Cole pumps—I remember!” Long recalled. “We were walking out of the club and this guy tries to grab my hand. And I’m like, ‘I’m from Brooklyn, don’t be grabbing me, touching on me!’”
Her reaction was immediate and firm, but her friend quickly set her straight. “We get outside and my girlfriend was like, ‘Girl, you know that was Prince!’” By the time Long and her friend ran back inside to try to spot him, the “Purple Rain” star had already slipped away.
The moment likely happened in the early-to-mid ’90s, when Prince was a regular fixture at Los Angeles nightspots. For Long, it became one of those stories that stuck—a reminder that even a global superstar could move quietly in a crowd.
But the story didn’t end there. “There’s a happy ending,” she told Hudson. Nearly 20 years later, Long’s girlfriend threw her a birthday party and invited Prince. “I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, Prince is at my birthday party!’” Long said. “I sit next to Prince and I’m having this whole flashback about being in the club… and he wanted to talk about my hair all night.”
According to Long, Prince was fascinated by her hair routine—asking about products and stylists instead of music or Hollywood. “I’ll take what I can get,” Long laughed. “It’s Prince. I was like, whatever you want—we can buy hair, makeup, skincare, whatever you want.”

Nobel Prize-winning author Wole Soyinka said on Tuesday that his non-resident visa to enter the United States had been rejected, adding that he believes it may be because he recently criticized President Donald Trump.
The Nigerian author, 91, won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986, becoming the first African to do so.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Soyinka said he believed it had little to do with him and was instead a product of the United States' immigration policies. He said he was told to reapply if he wished to enter again.
"It's not about me, I'm not really interested in going back to the United States," he said. "But a principle is involved. Human beings deserve to be treated decently wherever they are."
Soyinka, who has taught in the U.S. and previously held a green card, joked on Tuesday that his green card "had an accident" eight years ago and "fell between a pair of scissors." In 2017, he destroyed his green card in protest over Trump's first inauguration.
The letter he received informing him of his visa revocation cites "additional information became available after the visa was issued," as the reason for its revocation, but does not describe what that information was.
Soyinka believes it may be because he recently referred to Trump as a "white version of Idi Amin," a reference to the dictator who ruled Uganda from 1971 until 1979.
He jokingly referred to his rejection as a "love letter" and said that while he did not blame the officials, he would not be applying for another visa.
"I have no visa. I am banned, obviously, from the United States, and if you want to see me, you know where to find me."
The U.S. Consulate in Nigeria's commercial hub, Lagos, directed all questions to the State Department in Washington, D.C. Through a spokesperson, it said that because under US law visa records are generally confidential, they would not discuss the specifics of this case while stressing that "visas are a privilege, not a right" and that "visas may be revoked at any time, at the discretion of the U.S. government, whenever circumstances warrant."

50 Cent Trolls “BMF” Star Lil Meech Amid News Of Series CancellationWe told you it was only a matter of time before the rapper-turned-media mogul weighed in on #Starz officially pulling the plug on his #BMF series. While 50, who served as an executive producer and helped bring the show to fruition via his G-Unit Film & Television production company, didn’t speak directly on the cancellation, he did take the opportunity to troll the show’s star, Demetrius “#LilMeech” Flenory Jr.
50 shared an AI-generated image of Lil Meech holding a sign that read “Out of work.” If that dig wasn’t enough, he captioned the post, “What next season little ??.” 50 and Lil Meech have reportedly been at odds since the actor’s father, Demetrius “#BigMeech” Flenory, was released from prison. Apparently, 50 felt some type of way after Meech was spotted with his dad and longtime rival #RickRoss.
Safe to say 50 Cent probably won’t be working with Lil Meech again anytime soon.

Cedric The Entertainer Calls Out People Making Light Of Possible Food Stamp Pause: ‘That’s Not A Joke

Cedric the Entertainer is speaking out about the serious impact of the government’s pause on food stamps, saying the situation is no laughing matter.
When asked in New York about people joking over the weekend about the SNAP program’s funding crisis, Cedric gave a thoughtful response. “No, that’s not a joke. There’s so many people living with food insecurity in the United States,” he said. “The fact that the government is willing to let its own citizens starve and not eat is ridiculous.”
He added that empathy is key, reminding everyone, “All of us are one paycheck away from being dead broke in this country.” Still, he acknowledged comedy’s role in hard times, noting, “I do understand that we’re going to joke about everything.”
SNAP, formerly known as food stamps, is expected to run out of funding November 1, affecting nearly 42 million Americans as the government shutdown continues.

Love & Hip Hop star Masika Kalysha's estranged husband dies at 38 in wrong-way car crash

Masika Kalysha's estranged husband Jamar Champ has tragically died in a car crash in Texas at the age of 38.
The collision happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning when a BMW traveling the wrong way slammed head-on into Jamar's Tesla Cybertruck on a Houston freeway. The BMW caught on fire and the Cybertruck collided with a blue Freightliner 18-wheeler, HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer R. Young said.
The crash killed both drivers and forced authorities to close the freeway during yesterday morning's commute. Officials have not yet confirmed the identities of the victims publicly, but Masika, 40, shared an emotional post on social media which appeared to acknowledge the devastating loss.

Actress Masika, known for her role on the VH1 series Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and We TV's Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta, then shared a video on Instagram requesting that media outlets "refrain from posting information" but did not comment further on Jamar's death.

The male driver of the BMW was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.
"The male driver of the Tesla was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Doctors later pronounced him deceased. The male driver, 66, of the 18-wheeler was not injured. The investigation is continuing."
Jamar and Masika tied the knot in 2021 and had a daughter, Amari, who is now three years old. Kendall Jenner Shares Update on Relationship With Dad Caitlyn Jenner, Admits They Have 'Completely Different Views'

Kendall Jenner is opening up about where she currently stands with her dad, Caitlyn Jenner.
During the new episode of The Kardashians that Hulu dropped at midnight ET on Thursday (October 30), Kris Jenner invited Caitlyn, 76, to say goodbye to their old home before putting it up for sale.
“About an hour ago I called Caitlyn and I said, ‘What are you doing?’ Of course she said, ‘I’m eating dinner and watching Fox News,’” Kris, 69, told the cameras. “I said, ‘Of course you are.’”
While Kendall, 29, and younger sister Kylie Jenner were happy about their parents’ reunion, Kendall took the opportunity as a way to share an update on where she stands with Caitlyn.
“I definitely wasn’t expecting my dad to be here just knowing the relationship my mom has with my dad,” Kendall said. “Not that it is bad, it is just distant.”
Kylie, 28, added, “I don’t know if my parents will ever be best friends again but this is definitely a great first step.”
Then in a confessional, Kendall went on to elaborate on her current relationship with Caitlyn.
“I have to compartmentalize my relationship with my dad in a way,” Kendall explained. “Because I love her and she is my dad. We have a good relationship but sometimes I get frustrated with her with certain things.”
She continued, “We just have completely different views on things. But other than that, I always want to include her. I know she doesn’t have a lot outside of her family and I know she gets lonely.”
While Kendall didn’t go into further detail about things they have “different views on,” Caitlyn has been a very outspoken conservative and supporter of Donald Trump.
Earlier this year, Caitlyn‘s son Brody Jenner opened up about their complicated relationship.
New episodes of The Kardashians are released on Thursdays on Hulu.

Trump Wants The Department of War to Start Testing Our Nuclear Weapons on an Equal Basis”
Donald Trump has announced that he’s ordering the Department of War to begin testing America’s nuclear weapons again, saying the U.S. must “maintain equality” with other countries running similar programs.
In a post shared on his social media account, Trump said the United States now holds more nuclear weapons than any other nation; crediting his first term in office for updating and renovating the arsenal. He claimed this move was necessary, even though he “hated to do it,” arguing that Russia and China’s growing nuclear capabilities forced his hand.
Trump stated that Russia ranks second in nuclear power, while China is a “distant third,” but predicted that China could catch up within five years. Citing these developments, Trump said he has instructed the Department of War to resume testing on “an equal basis,” insisting the process will begin immediately.
The statement sparked swift reactions online, with many questioning the potential risks of restarting nuclear testing programs that have been largely dormant for decades. Historically, the U.S. ended full-scale nuclear tests in the early 1990s under global non-proliferation agreements, shifting instead to simulation and maintenance programs.
