#RHOP: Gizelle Bryant Talks NFL Player Romance
Is there a new WAG in the group? This season on The Real Housewives of Potomac, there’s been a lot of talk about NFL players, and who may or may not be dating them. However, it was Stacey Rusch who surprised everyone with a big receipt, showing the ladies a picture of Gizelle Bryant on a date with former pro player Shawn Springs.
When we last left off, Gizelle was trying to brush off the claims about her time with Shawn. But in a new sneak peek for RHOP Season 10 Episode 5, Gizelle opened up about Shawn. It sounds like there’s much more to this story.
Gizelle Bryant gave some details on her latest romance. During the cast trip to Nevis, Stacey brought up Gizelle’s potential romance with Shawn after seeing a picture of the two out on a date. According to Gizelle, she was testing the waters with Shawn, but it sounds like she’s ready to get serious about finding the man of her dreams.
“I realized I need to be serious about my future and about a man,” Gizelle told the ladies in the sneak peek, first shared by Us Weekly.
She continued, “My father — before he passed — I remember one conversation that we had. ‘Look, you got to find a man that fits like a comfortable shoe.’”
Of course, that statement opened up Gizelle to a whole line of questioning. Wendy Osefo jumped in to try to get more details about Shawn. She asked, “Have you guys had sex?”
Gizelle replied, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
In typical Gizelle fashion, she didn’t want to open up too much in front of the group. However, she had more to say in her confessional interview. There, she revealed to the producers that Shawn actually met one of her daughters. That’s a big step for the woman who got ghosted after leaving Bravo’s Love Hotel.
“Actually, only one of my daughters, Grace, has met him, and she thinks he’s age-appropriate,” Gizelle revealed. “And she thinks that he’s checking the boxes.”
Although Gizelle didn’t spill all of that tea to the ladies, they could pick up on her good vibes as she talked about Shawn. She didn’t confirm that they’re officially dating, but she’s glowing like they’ve got something going on.

Along with this news comes the new single “fff” which you can listen to below. The new album is the follow up to his debut album “The MANual” from 2012.
This new project is described as a “grown-man R&B record” that masterfully blends sensuality, swagger, and authenticity—the classic Q Parker energy fans know and love. “Evolution of Romance” is a dedicated celebration of passion, connection, and the art of intimacy.
Parker explains his vision for the album:
“As an artist I have always been a fan of romance and what it communicates to the person you love or are interested in… I was looking for a space to occupy, a lane that I could own, and it occurred to me that we (R&B singers) haven’t been paying the right kind of attention to the ladies for a while. I want this project to be a conversation between men and women about affection, courtship, support, love and all the things that true romance encompasses. I have become a ‘Romance Dealer’ and I’m serving it up on a silver platter.”
With a career boasting over 13 billion global streams, multiple platinum and gold certifications, and songwriting credits for legends including Pink, Faith Evans, and The Notorious B.I.G., Parker’s influence in R&B is undeniable. His upcoming album expands his signature sound, adding a modern, soulful edge while keeping the emotion and polish that defined his early success.
Beyond his musical contributions, Parker remains committed to giving back through the Q Parker Legacy Foundation. The organization supports youth, families, and seniors through mentorship, music education, and annual community initiatives like the Summer Music Camp and Senior Citizens Gala.

#HipHopNews: B.G. Says Lil Wayne Missed Cash Money-No Limit Verzuz Because He “Had To Go To The Hospital”
B.G. revealed that Lil Wayne missed the Cash Money vs. No Limit Verzuz due to a hospital visit.
The rapper’s absence follows a string of recent show cancellations.
B.G. doesn’t know if Wayne will appear on the upcoming Cash Money–No Limit tour.
The Cash Money-No Limit Verzuz brought plenty of stars to ComplexCon 2025. Lil Wayne, unfortunately, wasn’t one of them. According to B.G., it’s because the “A Milli” rapper “had to go to the hospital.”
During Friday’s (Oct. 31) airing of “The Breakfast Club,” B.G. explained, “I talked to Wayne the morning before the Verzuz and, you know, shorty wasn’t feeling good. ‘Cause he had a concert at Drai's [Nightclub] the same night and he canceled that as well.”
The “Bling Bling” rapper added that Swizz Beatz was “hurt” about the situation, especially since Wayne was the main reason he “pulled the trigger on it.” He continued, “Shorty wasn’t feeling good ‘cause he definitely was supposed to be there. He told me that he wasn’t feeling good and that he had to go to the hospital or something like that.”
B.G. later said he reminded Wayne that they’re not “[spring] chickens” anymore. “You gotta make sure your health [is] in order and get your rest,” he told him. “You’ve been running 35 years strong, so you gotta make sure you get your rest and that your body and health [are] all the way intact.”
As for whether fans will see Weezy onstage during the expected Cash Money-No Limit tour, B.G. admitted, “I can’t answer that, you know what I mean?” Cash Money ran through several of Wayne’s biggest tracks during their set at the Las Vegas Convention Center last Saturday (Oct. 25). The lineup included “Go DJ,” “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy,” and “I Miss My Dawgs,” among others.
It’s worth noting that Wayne has canceled several shows over the past few months. In August, he pulled out of his Toronto performance at Budweiser Stage because of an “unforeseen illness.” The following month, his Oklahoma City concert was also called off, according to KOCO 5 News.

Los Angeles Dodgers pull off a comeback to win second-straight World Series in epic Game 7

Dodgers win the title! The Los Angeles Dodgers are World Series champions for the second straight year after an incredible comeback in Game 7 of the World Series.
There was a buzz in the air all day in the lead up to Game 7 on Saturday night in Toronto.
It was an all-time pitching matchup between Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani and three-time Cy Young award winner Max Scherzer for the Blue Jays.
It also saw Los Angeles’ high-powered offense versus Toronto’s high-powered offense.
And, boy, did the win-or-go-home four-plus hour game live up to all the hype and then some!
The Jays got the scoring started early with a Bo Bichette three-run home run off Ohtani in the third inning.
Despite it knocking Ohtani off the mound, the Dodgers did not give up.
Two sacrifice flies in the fourth and sixth inning made it a one-run game but Blue Jays second baseman AndrΓ©s GimΓ©nez doubled to right field to score Ernie Clement to double the lead in bottom of the sixth before Max Muncy’s solo shot in the eighth inning made it a one-run game again.
Sometimes the people you least expect to shine do so when the lights are brightest, and that’s what Miguel Rojas did for the Dodgers.
With the Blue Jays two outs away from their first title in 32 years and the Rogers Centre crowd humming, the 36-year-old shortstop, who struggled mightily at the plate all postseason, hit a clutch game-tying shot off closer Jeff Hoffman in the ninth inning.
And in the next half-inning, a clutch defensive play from Rojas kept the team’s title hopes alive – along with Andy Pages’ incredible catch while colliding with KikΓ© HernΓ‘ndez to force extra innings.
Dodgers catcher Will Smith, who is no stranger to big home runs, yet again was the answer with the eventual game-winning solo shot in the 11th inning.
Multiple times, it appeared the Dodgers and Jays would take command, but pitching came up in big spots for both teams.
But it was Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who got the win as LA’s starter in Friday’s Game 6, that played hero for the Dodgers.
The 27-year-old Japanese phenom threw 2 and 2/3 innings and closed the door on the Jays, forcing catcher Alejandro Kirk to ground into a double-play to clinch the win.
Los Angeles became the first team to go back-to-back since the New York Yankees won three in a row from 1998-2000.
Yamamoto was named the World Series MVP.

#RIPLeslieWilson, Lead Singer of The New Birth, Passes Away
Leslie Wilson, lead singer on then noted funk band The New Birth, has passed away.
According to Soul Tracks, Wilson passed away at his home in his sleep.
The New Birth was conceived by R&B legend Harvey Fuqua out of two groups The Nite-Liters and Love, Peace & Happiness. When Leslie and his brother Melvin came into the group, they provided the soulful fire the ensemble needed to define an era. Leslie’s voice, in particular, became the signature element of their sound.
With Wilson’s signature raspy tenor voice, New BIrth had their first hit, a cover of “I Can Understand It” (originally by Bobby Womack).
The group went on to have several more hits such as “Dream Merchant” and the group’s classic cover of Skylark’s “Wild Flower,” Wilson showcased his ability to wrap his voice around funk, soul and even pop-psychedelia with a deftness that few vocalists of that era could match. His delivery was soulful without excess, polished without losing edge—exactly the kind of voice that elevated New Birth from fine ensemble into much-loved institution.
As internal tensions led to changes within the group, Leslie Wilson’s talent was undeiable In 1981, he became the lead vocalist for another iconic group, L.T.D. (Love, Togetherness & Devotion), replacing the great Jeffrey Osborne. His work with L.T.D. culminated in the album Love Magic, featuring the beautiful and enduring hit “April Love.”
Years after the break up of New BIrth, The Wilson brothers reunited with a news version of The New Birth (adding additional vocalists) in the 90s and occasionally toured for several years after that.

Toni Braxton Opens Up About Marriage to Birdman

When R&B icon Toni Braxton sat down with TODAY with Jenna & Friends recently, she peeled back the curtain on her complex relationship with longtime friend-turned-husband Birdman, revealing how their journey reached a surprising milestone. “We’ve been friends for over 25 years,” Braxton told the hosts, a connection she said laid the foundation for their romance.
The pair quietly married on Aug. 8, 2024, according to court documents. Braxton described how Birdman attended her baby shower and watched her Broadway show, offering support long before romance emerged. “He was my dearest, dearest friend,” she said.
Their romance officially began in 2016, after years of camaraderie. Braxton revealed that during her lupus diagnosis, Birdman’s presence was steady: “Every night he would ask me, ‘Are you okay? Are you good?’ ” she recalled of that period.
In February 2018, the couple announced an engagement. But by early 2019 they called it off, erased social media traces of their relationship and declared they were simply friends.
Braxton told People in 2018, “I never thought we would be dating or getting married.”
Court documents show that, despite the mid-2024 wedding, Braxton filed for divorce two weeks later — listing Aug. 10, 2024, as their date of separation. She described the marriage at that time as “irretrievably broken.”
In a twist, she dismissed the divorce petition in January 2025 with Birdman’s agreement, leaving the marriage legally intact.
Reflecting on this turn, Braxton now frames their story differently: “So we’ve been friends for a long time and a love connection started happening a couple of years ago,” she said. “We’re like peas and carrots.”
On their first anniversary in August 2025, Braxton shared a photo marking the celebration — yet the visual boldness of the ring belied a quiet backdrop of confusion.
She said her gratitude for Birdman runs deep: he has “never crossed the line,” she said, referring to the shift from decades of friendship to marriage.

Taye Diggs Shares That He Is Still Looking for Love in His 50s
Actor Taye Diggs, 54, says he is still open to love even as the dating landscape shifts around him. In a candid recent interview, Diggs said, “I’ll never give up. I’m just saying it’s not easy.”
Diggs, whose career spans stage and screen, points out that being single in his 50s feels different. “Now I have certain boundaries and my tastes have changed and my patience is low,” he said. He described navigating dating apps, texting rules and expectations as part of the “interesting trip” that comes with modern romance.
The actor took on the role of Darius, a single father in his 50s in the upcoming film His, Hers & Ours, and he sees himself in the character. “Being in your 50s, being single, being a Black man, trying to figure out if he’s ready for love. That’s a very specific kind of genre,” he said.
In real life, Diggs shares a 16-year-old son, Walker, with his ex-wife Idina Menzel. He calls fatherhood a grounding force. “Walker … keeps me solid. He makes me laugh. So I’ve been alright,” he remarked.
His co-parenting relationship is grounded in putting their child first. “Again, knock on wood … I attribute that to just both of us trying to put Walker first,” Diggs said.
Diggs admits he has been on the dating scene. “I had to make a decision, like, ‘I’m gonna date now,’” he told another outlet. He described getting himself out of his comfort zone, saying “When you’re younger, it’s kind of fun and exciting. Now you’re like, ‘What are we going to talk about? We’re going to talk about parents and where you’re coming from…’”
Despite the challenges, he remains hopeful. “It takes some work and attention. I’m taking it one day at a time because my taste will change hourly,” he said.

Gayle King is setting the record straight at Reports She’s Leaving CBS Mornings

Gayle King is setting the record straight after reports surfaced claiming she was preparing to leave CBS Mornings.
Speaking outside the network’s New York studio on October 31, 2025, King told TMZ that the chatter about her future doesn’t match what she’s been told internally. While she didn’t fully rule out the possibility of eventually moving on, she made it clear that—for now—she’s focused on her current role.
“I’m here now and intend to keep doing my job,” King said.
CBS News also weighed in on the rumors, shutting down claims that she’s planning an imminent exit.
“There have been no discussions with Gayle about her contract that runs through May 2026,” a CBS spokesperson told TMZ. “She’s a truly valued part of CBS and we look forward to engaging with her about the future.”
The response follows widespread speculation about King’s long-term plans with the morning show, which she has co-anchored for years. For now, King says she’s focused on staying present—despite the headlines suggesting otherwise.

Ashanti and Nelly show off baby for her 45th birthday

Singer Ashanti’s birthday was way back on Oct. 13, but she threw her cares to the world as she and husband Nelly continued the festivities all the way through Halloween.
Ashanti, 45, is still glowing from their latest moment from her “Magical Birthday” in Barbados in the Caribbean, with Nelly and her family celebrating by her side.
Even though it was Ashanti’s day and month, it was their son who stole the show, however. The tot was shown traipsing on her mother’s lap. The couple took pains to shield 16-month-old Kareem Kenkaide Haynes from public view but the moment was cute, nonetheless.

Babe I love you infinitely. I appreciate you so much.”

NBA superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s home invaded
The expansive home of NBA defending champion Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was broken into while he was busy playing a game.
Police in Nichols Hills, about 10 miles north of Oklahoma City, where Gilgeous-Alexander plays at the Paycom Center, raced to the scene of the invasion. By the time officers arrived, the suspects had fled the scene, according to KOCO 5 News.
The outlet reports that the would-be burglars were not able to penetrate the estate to make away with any valuables, according to the officers on the scene.
Unlike the suburban homes of Kansas City Chiefs superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, the attempted burglars did not plan the invasion on SGA while the famous owners were out of town to play a game.
The news outlet reported that they do not yet have any suspects in custody, but have a heavy police presence in the neighborhood. Nichols Hills police also informed the public that they do not believe there is a threat to the community, as this was a planned event with a specific target.
There was also a lot of people on the streets as children all over the city celebrated Halloween, which may have provided temporary camouflage and distraction for the suspects.
According to Yahoo! Sports, athletes have become prime targets of home invasions as they know the schedule of the players and the wealthy occupants have many valuables stored there, including jewelry and cash. In recent years, the homes of Mahomes, Kelce, Luka DonΔiΔ, Ketel Marte, Andre Johnson, and Olivier Giroud.
SGA, 27, a Toronto native, was selected 11th overall by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2018 NBA draft. A draft-day trade sent him to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he played one season before being dealt again the following offseason to the Thunder.
The reigning MVP is a three-time All-NBA first teamer and was the 2025 NBA scoring champion and league MVP, as well as NBA Finals MVP after the Thunder vanquished the Pacers in seven games to capture its first-eve NBA championship.

Ja Morant Suspended One Game by Grizzlies After Heated Exchange With Coach
Ja Morant has been suspended for one game due to conduct detrimental to the team, the Memphis Grizzlies announced on Saturday.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the decision stems from a postgame confrontation between Morant and first-year head coach Tuomas Iisalo following the Grizzlies’ 117-112 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night (Oct. 31). Sources say Iisalo challenged Morant’s leadership and effort, prompting a response from Morant that team officials deemed “inappropriate.”
Suspension comes as a result of Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo challenging Morant's leadership and effort in a postgame exchange after loss to the Lakers on Friday night -- to which Morant responded in a tone deemed inappropriate, sources said.
The exchange reportedly took place in front of the team inside the locker room, adding tension to an already rocky start for Memphis this season.
Morant struggled in the Lakers loss, scoring a season-low eight points on 3-of-14 shooting while adding seven assists. After the game, he appeared frustrated when speaking with reporters.
“According to [the coaching staff], probably don’t play me, honestly,” Morant said postgame. “That’s basically what the message was. It’s cool.”
When pressed further about his performance, Morant replied, “Go ask the coaching staff,” without elaborating.
Ja Morant when asked questions from the media:
“Go ask the coaching staff.”
And then asked what could have been done differently, other than asking the coaching staff:
“According to them, probably don’t play me.”
Morant is averaging a career-low 28.5 minutes per game through six appearances, raising questions about his role under Iisalo, who took over after Taylor Jenkins was fired late last season. Jenkins’ dismissal reportedly stemmed from concerns that he had lost control of the locker room.
The latest incident suggests that Memphis’ locker room dynamics has been fragile under new leadership. Iisalo did not comment on the suspension.
Morant will miss Sunday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors.

Black Lives Matter Faces Federal Investigation Over 2020 Fundraising Activities

The U.S. Department of Justice has launched a criminal investigation into the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation and related organizations, according to multiple Associated Press sources. The probe centers on whether leaders “defrauded donors who contributed tens of millions of dollars during racial justice protests in 2020.”
In recent weeks, federal agents have issued subpoenas and even executed at least one search warrant as part of the investigation. Although no charges have been filed, the case is being closely watched.
The foundation raised over $90 million after the killing of George Floyd in 2020, becoming one of the largest political and social movements in the country. However, concerns over financial transparency followed, especially after revelations in 2022 about a $6 million California property purchase.
One source confirmed that the case began under the Biden administration but is now receiving renewed attention under Trump’s Justice Department. The investigation is being handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles.
Despite the growing scrutiny, the foundation maintains its innocence.
“We are not a target of any federal criminal investigation,” BLM said in a statement to AP. “We remain committed to full transparency, accountability, and the responsible stewardship of resources.”
