#RHOSLC: Andy Cohen Addresses His 'RHOSLC' Reunion Walk Off & Rumors Bronwyn Newport Isn't Returning
Andy Cohen is speaking out about his walk off on the set of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six reunion.
The host of the reunion could be seen visibly upset at the ladies, who kept fighting with each other and not listening to him trying to stop them, leading to him walking off the stage.
“No, Andy, please,” Mary Cosby says as he’s walking away.
On his SiriusXM radio show Andy Cohen Live, Andy opened up about the moment, and he also addressed rumors that cast member Bronwyn Newport would not be returning to the show.
“I mean, my walk off was kind of a thud,” Andy said. “Well, here’s the thing. I walked off, but then the problem is, I look like a petulant fool if I take it all the way to my dressing room and be like, ‘They won’t listen to me.’ It’s like, ‘Well, guess what? That’s your job. You’re walking off?’”
When co-host John Hill said he should have really committed and walked back to his dressing room, take a breath and return, Andy replied, ” I could’ve done that. You know what? Here’s the problem. I walked off, and I realized what I always realized when someone else walks off, which is, ‘Oh, great. Now we’re gonna get out of here later.’ You know, I walked off, and I was like, ‘Well, guess what’s not gonna happen while I’m gone? This reunion.’”
“What am I doing?” Andy added. “Yes, so I just wanted them to get a little sting of me walking off, and then going back, so I mean, you know, I did like that Mary was so upset.”
Andy, who is an executive producer on RHOSLC, was asked about Bronwyn not returning to the show or if that was just a rumor.
“That’s a rumor,” he confirmed.
During the reunion, Bronwyn revealed that she and her husband of nine years, Todd Bradley, had separated.

Young talent led nominations for the BRIT Awards on Wednesday, with singers Olivia Dean and Lola Young receiving five nods each for Britain's pop music honors.
Young, 25, was recognized for artist of the year, breakthrough artist, alt/rock act and pop act, while her chart-topping hit "Messy" is up for song of the year.
Dean, 26, is also a contender in that category with two tracks "Man I Need" and "Rein Me In", a collaboration with rocker Sam Fender. She is also nominated for artist of the year, pop act and album of the year for her record "The Art of Loving".
Fender, 31, has three additional nods: artist of the year, alt/rock act and album of the year for "People Watching".
Rappers Dave and Jim Legxacy, singer Lily Allen and producer Fred again... have three nominations each.
“It’s fantastic to see British talent doing so well across the board, especially a next generation of brilliant artists who have broken through with such impact on the global stage in the past 12 months led by Olivia Dean, Lola Young, Sam Fender, Pink Pantheress, Skye Newman, among others," Jo Twist, chief executive of the BRITs organizers, the British Phonographic Industry, said in a statement.
Around 70% of the nominations feature women and non-binary people as solo artists or in mixed groups, organizers said, adding that was "the highest representation of women and non-binary people yet".
British band Pulp, who found fame in the mid-1990s Britpop wave, are in the running for group of the year, their first nomination since 1996. The band topped the charts last year with "More", their first album since 2001.

Will Smith had a near death experience while scuba diving for his new show

Will Smith had a terrifying experience that nearly left him for dead while filming his new travel show, “Pole to Pole With Will Smith” on Disney+.
During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Smith explained that he and the crew were scuba diving at the North Pole and were under thick ice when things started to go wrong.
“So you go under the ice, and the ice can be up to 10 feet thick. So we’re under, we went out about 40 yards away It’s like an upside-down ice mountain range, right?” he said.
He continued, “We went under, and I start hearing, ‘Abort dive! Abort dive! Abort!’ And I’m like, ‘Oh no,’ right? So I went to ascend and hit ice. I was like, ‘Oh no, Will, calm down. Calm down.’ You have a tether on, and you have to pull yourself back to the hole, right? I grabbed and accidentally pulled my mask off.”
He joked that after he got his mask on and calmed himself down, he thought, “‘If I get out of here, I’m only gonna do Black stuff from here on out.’ I promise Lord! African American behavior from here on out!”
Thankfully another member of the team also helped pull him out by his tether and he and a sort of “spiritual” moment.
“When I realized I was good, I just relaxed and I looked around and when I tell you, the sun is coming through the ice and it went from terror to the most spiritual, beautiful thing,” he said. “And I was just like, ‘Whoever’s up there, don’t let go of my tether!’”
The “Independence Day” star also hunted for anaconda in the Amazon with an indigenous tribe on a “conservation” mission.
He recalled the guides, who he noted were naked and “didn’t even have no clothes on, their whole name and address was hanging out,” spotted an anaconda in the water and jumped out of the boat to collect it.
“They had a sense that there was some kind of illegal dumping going on, and the scales of the anaconda, they hold whatever’s in the water,” he said. “So they would take a scale from the anaconda and test it to be able to use it in court.”
Smith joked, “I don’t know why they needed me!”

Gayle King’s Role at CBS ‘Will Be Drastically Reduced’ as She Moves Into a ‘Special Projects’ Position
Gayle King will remain at the Tiffany Network, despite rumors suggesting the highly paid CBS Mornings host might get the boot from the ratings-challenged show — but the daytime icon is being retained at a reduced rate, sources say.
Insiders tell Straight Shuter columnist Rob Shuter that despite spiraling viewership, Gayle, 71, is being kept on in a more modest capacity — with a slashed salary to match.
According to Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack page, a source shares that CBS “loves” Gayle, but needed to make adjustments. “She’s basically moving into a ‘special projects’ role,” an insider explains. “She can still headline big interviews, still be a face for the network, but her role will be drastically reduced.”
The move comes amid ongoing shake-ups by recently installed news chief Bari Weiss, who elevated Gayle’s now-former cohost Tony Dokoupil to the evening anchor chair and has promised more changes for the struggling morning show.
As reported, speculation swirled that Gayle had a bull’s-eye on her back due to her annual $10 million salary and CBS Mornings continually trailing behind NBC’s Today and ABC’s Good Morning America in the ratings. The CBS show’s anemic audience share has at times been up to 20 percent lower than the year prior.
There’s also talk that former Today anchor Hoda Kotb, 61, may be brought in — as insiders say Weiss is wooing the fan favorite with the promise of making her central to CBS Mornings, which would leave little room for Gayle.
“Hoda would be the star,” a rival exec says. “Bari is offering her the spotlight, and the kingdom that comes with it.”
Meanwhile, sources say Gayle is just happy to save face.
“It’s a win-win,” a network executive adds. “Gayle keeps her reputation, CBS keeps a marquee name, and the viewers don’t lose her presence entirely.”

Apollonia claims Prince was “adamant” that she keep using her name amid trademark legal battle

The star of 'Purple Rain' has been locked in a back-and-forth with the Prince estate over the right to carry on using her stage name
Apollonia has claimed that Prince was “adamant” that she continued using her name and trademarks, amid an ongoing legal battle with his estate.
Patricia Apollonia Kotero rose to fame in 1984 when Prince chose her to star as his love interest in the semi-autobiographical film Purple Rain. She went on front the group Apollonia 6, and has used the name Apollonia in her singing and acting career for more than four decades.
In June last year, Paisley Park Enterprises (PPE), the estate overseeing Prince’s business interests since his death in 2016, filed an “intent-to-use” trademark application for Apollonia and sought to cancel Kotero’s registrations for the name. Two months later, Kotero filed a suit against PPE, accusing them of trying to “steal” her name.
Since then, PPE have disputed her claims and moved to dismiss the lawsuit, claiming that their trademark application was necessary step to protect its rights, not a personal attack
Now, in a declaration filed in federal court on Friday (January 16), Apollonia has responded to the estate’s motion to dismiss by claiming that she received face-to-face reassurance from Prince two months before his death (via Rolling Stone).
She claims that Prince met with her and her fellow Apollonia 6 member Susan Moonsie after a concert in Oakland, California in February 2016.
“During our conversations that evening, Prince was adamant that we continue with our ventures such as musical performances, merchandising, and audiovisual projects, and that he wanted us both to use our Apollonia and Apollonia 6 trademarks in order to be able to earn a living, stay creative, and be financially secure in our later years,” Apollonia has said.
Part of her claim is that Prince never trademarked the Apollonia name while he was alive, so the estate was out of line when it moved to assume control of it last June. Kotero is now asking the court to reject PPE’s request that her lawsuit be dismissed.
“The truth is none of this litigation would have occurred if Prince were still alive,” Apollonia’s declaration continued. “He would be appalled by the unbecoming conduct of PPE and the efforts by PPE to usurp his wishes. I do not trust PPE, and I am afraid that if PPE is able to accomplish its goal of taking the Apollonia Marks from me, my identity will be lost, my rights will be diminished, my business will be interrupted, and I will be unable to use the Apollonia marks without repercussion from PPE.”
A hearing on the estate’s motion to dismiss is scheduled for February 13. In their motion, they wrote: “Defendant has never threatened to sue plaintiff, never asked her to cease using her adopted stage name, nor ever asked her to cease any of her business activities.”
Apollonia toured to promote Purple Rain in 1984 and Apollonia 6 had a hit later that year with ‘Sex Shooter’, written and produced by Prince. The group also recorded a version of ‘Manic Monday’ in the same year, but it was pulled before release and The Bangles had the hit version two years later. Apollonia went on to star in Falcon Crest on television and released a solo album in 1988.
Prince died from an accidental fentanyl overdose in April 2016, leaving behind no children and no will, leading to a contracted legal battle over his extensive assets.

Mary J. Blige Recalls the Moment Aretha Franklin Walked Into the Studio ‘Like She Was Coming to Fight’: ‘Even Babyface Was Scared’

The Queen of Soul didn’t just command a room; she dominated it. Mary J. Blige remembers the intense — and slightly terrifying — recording sessions with the late Aretha Franklin, revealing that working with royalty involved a lot of sweat and a fair amount of intimidation.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the 55-year-old “Be Without You” singer opened up about the first time she and legendary producer Babyface hosted Franklin in the studio. While the duo expected a diva in diamonds, they got something much more intense.
The collaboration took place in 1999 for the track “Don’t Waste Your Time,” but the atmosphere in the room remains burned into Blige’s memory. According to the hip-hop soul icon, the vibe was less “recording session” and more “pre-match weigh-in.”
“Aretha came in a hoodie, a sweatsuit, one pant-leg rolled up, like she was coming to fight or something,” Blige told Cohen. She added that the music icon topped the look with a long trench coat, making an entrance that left the professional veterans in the room shaking in their boots. “Everything just felt so … Babyface was even scared!”
The intensity wasn’t just in the fashion. To accommodate Franklin’s famous vocal needs and her personal preferences, the environment had to be physically demanding. Blige recalled that the recording studio “was like a thousand degrees” because the Queen of Soul notoriously hated the cold.
Beyond the heat and the hoodies, there was the matter of Franklin’s unique vocabulary. Upon entering, she greeted Blige with a nickname that left the singer questioning her standing with the legend.
“She was like, ‘How you doin? Hey, what’s up, Choppy?'” Blige recounted. Initially, she worried that “Choppy” was a jab at her vocal style or an outright insult. However, she was later reassured that the moniker was actually a badge of honor. Someone explained to her that Franklin used the term as a sign of admiration, essentially acknowledging that Blige “could sing.”
Even with the professional respect, Franklin didn’t exactly make things easy. Blige noted that while the “Respect” singer hit it off with her mother, Cora Blige, the pleasantries only went so far. Despite the bond with Cora, the superstar “didn’t stop being mean,” according to the singer.
That friction didn’t stop Blige from staying close to Franklin’s legacy. Years after their “thousand-degree” session, Blige stepped into the shoes of jazz legend Dinah Washington for the 2021 biopic Respect, which featured Jennifer Hudson as Franklin. It was a full-circle moment for a star who survived a hoodie-clad studio session with the most formidable voice in music history.

Jennifer Lopez Goes Viral After Giving Cash to Homeless Man Amid ‘Rude’ Accusations
Jennifer Lopez is once again making headlines—this time for a moment off the red carpet that quickly caught public attention.
Days after online critics accused the superstar of being “rude” during a viral Golden Globes clip, Lopez was spotted by TMZ in Los Angeles giving money to an unhoused man during a casual outing.
Jennifer Lopez was seen handing out some cold hard cash to a homeless man. tmz.me/5ViqqcD
actress initially walked past the man as she made her way toward a waiting SUV. Moments later, as he approached the passenger side, Lopez lowered the window and handed him a noticeable wad of cash.
The man appeared visibly excited by the gesture, exclaiming, “I don’t care, I love you. Thank you Jennifer. Oh, yes baby,” as Lopez smiled before continuing on her way.
The sighting quickly spread online, with many noting the contrast between the generosity of the moment and the criticism Lopez had faced just days earlier.
But Lopez carried an ultra-rare blue crocodile Hermès Kelly Sellier handbag—reportedly valued well into five figures—from which she pulled the cash while juggling a coffee.
The outing followed renewed attention on Lopez’s brief interaction with Glambot creator Cole Walliser at the 2026 Golden Globes. A tightly edited behind-the-scenes clip from the red carpet made the rounds online, with some viewers accusing Lopez of ignoring Walliser as he prepared her for the high-speed slow-motion shot.
Comments labeling Lopez a “snob” or calling her behavior dismissive racked up tens of thousands of likes, reigniting long-running “diva” narratives that have followed the singer and actress throughout her career.
Walliser, however, later addressed the situation directly, urging viewers to slow down their assumptions. “I didn’t take it personally. It didn’t feel rude in that moment,” he said in a video response.
He explained that the Golden Globes carpet had already closed and that Lopez appeared focused on completing the moment efficiently. “She was just down to business,” he said, adding that her body positioning—facing away as she prepared to pose—was being misread online.
Walliser also emphasized that red carpets are chaotic working environments. “These celebrities, they’re at work,” he noted, explaining that Glambot appearances are optional and often happen amid constant movement and noise.
Lopez has not publicly addressed the backlash surrounding the Glambot moment. Her representatives have declined to comment.

Nicki Minaj Previously Said She Came to U.S. Illegally in Resurfaced Post Amid Trump Support
Nicki Minaj recently made an appearance at a Turning Point USA event with Erika Kirk, and caused a stir online for her apparent support of Donald Trump‘s administration as of late.
But in a still-published post on social media, Nicki spoke out about coming to this country illegally when she was a child, which is entirely at odds with Trump‘s intense anti-immigration agenda amid violent ICE raids.
Nicki also called out Don Lemon‘s recent coverage of ICE protests in Minnesota.
She also just supported Katie Miller, the wife of White House Homeland Security advisor Stephen Miller, who promoted the SAVE Act, which would require citizenship documentation to register to vote.
But she had very different views just a few years ago.
“I came to this country as an illegal immigrant @ 5 years old. I can’t imagine the horror of being in a strange place & having my parents stripped away from me at the age of 5,” she wrote in 2018, during Trump‘s first term as President of the United States.
“This is so scary to me. Please stop this. Can you try to imagine the terror & panic these kids feel right now?”
The post features a photo of kids on mats in a large cage.
Back in 2024, she’s stated that she is not a U.S. citizen on a TikTok Live.
“I was born on a beautiful island called Trinidad and Tobago. But I’ve been in the States for many years. You would think that with the millions of dollars that I’ve paid in taxes to this country that I would have been given an honorary citizenship many, many, many thousands of years ago,” she said.

Travis Kelce Caught in Taylor Swift’s Justin Baldoni Texts Drama

Travis Kelce has been unnecessarily pulled into the Justin Baldoni–Blake Lively feud. This happened after text messages from his fiancée, Taylor Swift, to Lively surfaced. Fans took to Kelce’s social media account to give their mixed reactions about Swift’s involvement in the infamous feud. They warned him to stay alert. Many also advised him to turn off the comment section to avoid further negativity.
Travis Kelce’s Instagram comments filled with comments about Taylor Swift
Recently, the ‘NFL’ star has been caught up in the drama involving his fiancée. After Swift’s text messages to Lively about Baldoni surfaced. Fans have flooded his comment section to share their various reactions to the latest news. A user wrote, “Love that Taylor can’t handle the drama and turned off her comments!!!! What a baby.” Amid the new update on the Lively-Baldoni drama, another one added, “You should have JUSTIN on your podcast!!!!”
Another one mentioned, “So disappointed after seeing all the text messages with Blake! I was rooting for you!!! @taylorswift” “Run Travis Run!!!!” a fourth user added. Other reactions also included “You come from a great family!!! Watch out, Taylor is poison,” and “Never thought @taylorswift was a mean girl & ? like Blake.” Amid the negativity flooding the comment section, some fans suggested that Kelce either turn off comments altogether or appoint a moderator to manage the discourse.
The legal filing obtained by TMZ discloses the text messages between Swift and Lively, in which the former has allegedly criticized Baldoni. Her text to Lively read, “I think this bitch knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.” While Lively’s lawyers don’t deny the text’s existence, they say that it doesn’t mean the duo talked or discussed the New York Times’ article before it was published. The documents claimed that during Blake’s NYC penthouse meeting with Baldoni, Swift wasn’t unknowingly dragged but was an active participant. This is because she advised Lively via text that “If Justin was strategic, he would be like no Taylor Swift in the trailer because that gives you more power over the film, that’s your ally, not his.”

Djimon Hounsou and Mother of His Children Involved in Atlanta Domestic Dispute
*Djimon Hounsou and Riza Simpson, the mother of two of his children, have reportedly clashed in a serious domestic dispute in Atlanta. The confrontation escalated after Hounsou attempted to evict Simpson from his home, leading to police involvement.
According to The Blast, Hounsou contacted law enforcement in December, alleging that Simpson struck him in the face with a closed fist during the eviction attempt. Police officers visited Hounsou’s Atlanta townhouse last Friday, carrying an arrest warrant for Simpson. She was taken into custody on charges of simple assault and obstruction, the latter for allegedly providing false information to officers during their visit.
Hounsou was previously in a five-year relationship with model Kimora Lee Simmons. The couple shares a son and split in 2020.
Beyond his personal challenges, Hounsou, a two-time Oscar nominee, has revealed that he continues to face financial struggles despite decades in Hollywood. In an interview with CNN Africa, he criticized the industry for systemic racism and expressed frustration at being overlooked in his career. Hounsou also shared that he has been underpaid and studios often offered him lowball deals.
“I’m still struggling to make a living,” he said, Complex reports. “I’ve been in the filmmaking business for over two decades with two Oscar nominations and many blockbuster films, and yet, I’m still struggling financially. I’m definitely underpaid.”
Hounsou, known for roles in films like “Gladiator,” “Amistad,” and “A Quiet Place,” also addressed being ignored despite critical acclaim.
“I was nominated for the Golden Globe [for Amistad], but they ignored me for the Oscars, talking about the fact that they thought that I had just came off the boat and off the streets,” he stated. “Even though I successfully did that [film], they just didn’t feel like I was an actor for whom they should pay any respect. This conceptual idea of diversity still has a long way to go. Systemic racism don’t change like that anytime soon.”

Chris Brown Moves to Block Rihanna References as $90M Dog Attack Trial Nears

With a high-stakes trial ahead, Chris Brown is asking a Los Angeles judge to keep one chapter of his past completely out of the courtroom.
The singer has filed a new legal motion urging the court to block any mention of his prior domestic violence case involving Rihanna during an upcoming civil trial tied to a separate lawsuit. The request comes as Brown prepares to face claims brought by sisters Patricia and Maria Avila, who previously worked as housekeepers at his Los Angeles home.
Maria Avila alleges she was seriously injured after being attacked by Brown’s dog, Hades, in December 2020. She claims the incident left her with permanent injuries and disfigurement, and she is seeking more than $90 million in damages. Brown has denied the allegations and maintains he was not negligent.
In court filings, Brown’s legal team argues that referencing his past relationship with Rihanna would unfairly bias the jury and distract from the actual issue at hand, which centers on the alleged dog attack. His attorneys describe any mention of prior domestic violence allegations as irrelevant, outdated, and highly prejudicial, stressing that those events have no connection to the current lawsuit.
The filings also push to exclude any discussion of Brown’s broader criminal history, stating it would only confuse jurors and skew their judgment. Brown has acknowledged past felony convictions during prior testimony, including the 2009 case involving Rihanna, but insists those matters should not factor into this trial.
As for the dog attack claim, Brown’s defense argues that Maria Avila provoked the animal and is responsible for her own injuries. With settlement talks stalled, the case is expected to head to trial later this year, setting the stage for a closely watched legal battle.
